4.5 ⭐ (this branch is quite small, hope they expand soon.)
'Feels like home' ambiance, as always. This is one of the best place to have a romantic date as the vibe feels relaxing. ❤
We ordered my favorite squash soup (definitely 5-star!!!), smoked salmon cream pasta, and chocolate mousse for dessert.
The place has its own vibe that would really set the mood which actually fits well to their food presentation, the food we had was really good. One of the places that would really knock you off. Food was served on time and it was served with a smile!!
We ordered 3 kinds of pasta. For cream-based, dory and salmon cream. For oil-based, spanish sardines & olives. For tomato-based, pasta amatriciana with italian meatballs. And we requested for 3 plates for us to taste and enjoy different kinds of pasta that we ordered.
All of it was flavourful. “Hindi tinipid sa ingredients!” Pasta amatriciana have a mild spice level.
I love the chocolate truffle cake!!! Not too sweet.
Staffs are courteous and accommodating as well.
I finally got to experience Mary Grace as I revealed to my girlfriend that I have never been in any of the branch chains. Regarded as a 'tita place' in social media I can see why that is based on the relaxed and cozy vibe.
I liked the Cubao Gateway branch as it was just small and creates that intimate setting.
The first to please our hungry tummies was an order of cheddar cheese, tomato and capers dip with bread slices. A very good intro for our next dish. An oil based pasta topped with Spanish sardines and olives was a new thing for me compared to usual sauce based pastas. It was a favorable variation and I savored every bite. I just wished that there was more serving size as I was wanting more after finishing the dish. The price per portion probably focused more on quality preparation and ingredients.
Thank you Mary Grace for giving us a pleasurable dinner exprience. Probably going to try their other items next time because they are even fit for meriendas as well.
My friend and I often eat here for lunch since it is cozy and they serve good food.
I love their sansrival and mango bene and I didn't really think that their rice meals and plates of pasta would also be as good as their desserts. It's quite pricey but I still recommend it a lot for the quality of the food. This is also the best place if you want a quiet time for yourself or a short lunch date.
Food was excellent! I ordered tomato and herb plate and black velvet for dessert. It was a hearty meal. Eventhough it was a little pricey hence I was really satisfied with what I ate. So I will definitely come back for their hot chocolate, pastries and seafood pasta!

This branch is quite small, most of the chairs are situated outside. However, it has a good location as you can’t miss it if you’re transferring between the two train lines and you chose the inside of malls route. I get my quick merienda fix here. I order one of their lemon squares and ensaymada, eat it while walking, and finish it just in time before I arrive at the other train. Their breads are also perfect for pasalubong too!
We had a slice of Mango Bene and Strawberry Shortcake. The strawberry shortcake is quite light and the strawberries are frozen but everything goes well together. The mango bene is quite heavy and very creamy and delicious.
Our drinks are Iced Mocha and Peppermint Iced Mocha. Their iced mocha for me is quite strong and the peppermint is just the same taste with mint flavor. The glass used is quite large that it is good for sharing.
The place is quite small but it is well decorated that will make you feel cozy. This place is better for dates or small group of peole.
All in all their desserts is very good and their serving is quite large. There is also a service charge included. This place is good for catching up with a friend or love one.
This place is known for their desserts specifically their Ensaymada and Cheese rolls (a must try i should say). But I wanted to try their dishes specifically their pasta. Today i ordered their Leek and Saffron Cream with Dory Fillet and their traditional Carbonarra (cream based pasta). The pasta dish came with garlic bread that is perfectly toasted. Most meals will take a good 15-20minutes... so come in ready with with a book or a good topic for conversation.
First up... the Leek and Saffron Cream with Dory Fillet. Overall the meal wasn't as heavy as i expected it to be (its cream based). The saffron can be appreciated in the cream and does not overpower. The leaks give it a subtle herb taste to the dish. Truly as promised the Cream Dory fish melts in your mouth.
Second up is their traditional Carbonarra dish which is creamy and light. The sprinkling of bacon and mushroom is balanced which gives it a good and not too greasy feel to the food. The serving for me is hefty and satisfied me nicely. Overall I would say this is one of the better carbonarra's out there that wont hurt your pockets.
The only concern is that the place is cramped up and the servers were a bit unattentive. It is a place where high volume of people go to hence the usual "homey" feel is lost. Still a nice go to place in Gateway when pasta is concerned
Usually dining in this cafe branch. Cozy interior with full of lights, great service from the staffs and the food taste great as always. On a personal note, I loved the squash soup and their truffle cake 🍰 ALWAYS the great finale to an amazing dinner... Amazingggg!! 😍😋
My favorite Tita but home-y restaurant! I didn't mind spending a bit more in this restaurant. Their cakes are one of the major reasons why we always come back. Never miss out on trying out their Mango Bene and Chocolate Truffle cakes!
Cafe Mary Grace is synonymous with quality. You know you are paying for well-prepared food, be it their pastry or entrees.
Their Gateway branch is small, so the best time to visit would be during afternoon or morning. Salad was fresh and good balance of acid and flavor for the dressing. Pasta is al dente and not swimming in sauce. Chocolate cake added to the homey feel of the already warm vibe of the restaurant.
Place: 3.5/5
Food: 5/5
Price: 4/5

Dubbed as a "tita cafe", a friend and I had dessert here and their apple pie and cheese cake are glorious.
Order a box of lemon bars for tea time, and maybe get a cheese roll or two. :)
Ambiant place, friendly staff and good food!
Nung unang beses na kumain kami ng nanay ko rito, we only ordered carbonara and cake (ayaw kasi ng nanay ko na kumain pa pag gabi na, food for the gods lang ata dapat kakainin niya nun) but the staff asked us if we would like to split the carbonara for two persons edi syempre umoo kami then nung iseserve na, talagang two plates at naka-split na yung carbonara... di siya yung isang plate lang tas bibigyan lang nila ng fork yung isang tao (ganun sa ibang resto eh). And yun grabe ang sarap talaga tas kahit inisplit na for two yun (so syempre mas konti), nabusog pa rin ako. Thumbs up! 👍👍👍
Nice rustic homey ambience , kinda confining but its ok. I love their pastas here, breads and dessert , the last time I dined here with my cousin we tried their pasta , and it was good.

I love Cafe Mary Grace. We had wild mushroom soup, smoked salmon, and vegetable sandwich. We also tried their Tsoknut hot chocolate, which was rich and dreamy.
What I liked most was the staff and the ambiance of this branch. The servers are accommodating and responsive to our needs. Will definitely visit again.
Cafe Mary Grace has always been my favorite place to have comfort food. The ambiance is great, the price is just right and the food is really good and the service is always excellent.
Ambiance was super cute. Service was so so. Food was a bit overpriced for the taste. I mean it was still good but in relation to other cafes I've been to with almost the same level of quality but was still cheaper, Mary Grace was still quite expensive. Overall the experience was nice but I wouldn't really find myself going back as often as I can.
Service was good. Place felt a bit congested, hope there would be more space between tables. Ordered Seafood Pasta and Mango Benne, pasta was good and serving is for more than 1. Mango Benne, my favorite cake from this restaurant. 😊
The staffs were very polite and the food ofcourse was delicious. I had dory & saffron cream pasta, a slice of black velvet and a strawberry milkshake.
The place is just so small & narrow
My mom's comfort food! The sets are well portioned for regular eaters hahah! But add-ons wouldn't hurt! Yumminess oozes in every bite! Even the Hubby says it stays on our can come back to list! Yipee!
I know it's just ensaymada but when it's mary grace it is really something different. The best ensaymada there is if there is even such thing.
We had our food to go, but we sat in the place for quite some time too. My mom and I sat on the chairs and tables outside and the place looks very cozy and romantic inside. It like having a romantic dinner, even how noisy outside was, you wouldn't even noticed it. But from where we were sotting, it was very crowded and noisy because it was the mrt stop, so people leave and enter the mall. The food tasted good. My mom love their Seafood Pasta while I just ordered a Carbonara. But their Mango Bene was to die for, as in! It was so good and very delicious! I ate two big slices of it. 😋😋😋
Went here last night with my bestfriend, we ordered margherita pizza and a pasta, I forgot the name, the pasta is good for two we requested to have it split, and for our dessert our favorite classic cheesecake. The ambiance is nice and staffs were very accommodating. The funny thing is I forgot my change!! Waaah.
One of my favorite go to place for quick dates! This place never fails me. Very cozy and intimate. 👍👍
I treated my parents here after lunch. Admittedly, we frequent Gateway. We bought their cakes for special occasions and a slice or two at times for take away. But today, we sat down, absorbed the ambient environment and leisurely ate our orders.
I love their mango bene since time immemorial! Mapapa-mmmm ka talaga sa sarap! Every bite is heavenly. The combination of ingredients are perfect.
Their pudding was worth trying. It was creamy, moist, fresh and flavorful. Similarly, the brewed coffee wasn't too strong. It went well with their cakes. I hope the management considers tweaking their prices a little to make it more affordable for many :)

after a day well-spent together, a friend & i had dinner at Mary Grace in Gateway..though we were at the far end table, we still felt the coziness of the place & enjoyed our favorites: Mary Grace Mushroom Cream, Spicy Lemon Scampi, they're Garlic Wheat bread as well as they're Homemade Apple Cinnamon Iced Tea..super looooved that dinner on May 24, 2015!!
one of my favorite places and one of my comfort places. so cozy! the food is great too. the seafood pasta is delish. they have big servings! the mago bene was great, mango from guimaras!
First time to dine at this branch, and even though it is cramped, it's still as cozy and homey as their other branches. And like in Mary Grace cafes, many of their tables, especially those inside the shop, have touching and inspiring handwritten letters! It was nice and relaxing to read them while eating our two desserts: vanilla bean cake and apple pie.
The vanilla bean cake is sweet and filling, but I prefer the apple pie because of its different flavors and textures: the tart goodness of the apples, the subtlety of the cinnamon, the crunchy walnut crumble, and the creamy whipped cream! So delicious! :)
First time to try mary grace and it wasnt a leisurely late lunch. I wanted filipino so i opted for the longganisa plus the apple cinnamon iced tea. I think i have a new favorite iced tea. While the longganisa was very garlicy, the fried rice cooked from provably the oil from the longganisa. I also took home the mango cake. Overall i think i will bring the boss with me.
It seems like all I want to do with my free time is to catch up with friends in cafes. Am I maturing, or is the holiday season making me more nostalgic than usual? We've all been so busy, especially this year, that it's becoming a challenge to get us all together in the same room again. From the looks of it, that long-awaited get-together might even be postponed until the new year. Sad, but at least I've got a potential venue to pitch when the time comes. I had a nice dinner at Mary Grace with my mum the other day, and the warm cafe setting is looking to be a strong contender.
Before visiting the restaurant, my only Mary Grace encounters have always just been limited to takeout boxes of their famous ensaymada and cheese rolls. While those are comforting without getting heavy on the buttercream, I wanted to see what else they had that kept their patrons hooked. (Their outlets always seem to be full whenever I pass by.)
Just the ambiance alone already puts me in a warm and comforting mood. Their cafe locations may be in some of the busiest malls in the metro, but they've managed to make it feel homey with the decor and the lighting. The little notes under the tables' glass tops is a sweet touch, especially when you see all the positive messages. Then there are the cake displays that appeal to any dessert lover...
But before I get ahead of myself and skip right to dessert, we'll go through the meal in proper order. My mom and I split a Wild Mushroom Soup (PHP 148) and the Local Greens With Daing Dressing (PHP 155) salad. At this point, I'm so used to milky/creamy mushroom soup that I was surprised to taste a difference in Mary Grace's version. It's not all that creamy, save for the zigzag on the surface that doubles as a garnish. I'm getting more mushroom flavor and broth than what I'm used to, so I would recommend this soup to those who don't like too much cream. It keeps the soup light. As for the salad, the dressing contains a lot of daing (dried fish) flakes. I appreciate them serving it on the side (also split to two), so I could control the oil that went into the salad. Everything on that salad was deliciously fresh. In retrospect, we did the right thing in splitting appetizers, since we had individual entrees. You leave more room for the main attraction and still be able to share a dessert.
Moving on to the mains, Mom had the Smoked Salmon & Cream Pasta (PHP 290), while I ordered the Mary Grace Mushroom Cream Pasta (PHP 330). Is it now becoming apparent that I have a thing for the earthy flavors of mushroom? The Salmon & Cream had the expected smoky flavor, and there was a lot of sauce to go around. Ever the garlic-lover, mom requested for an extra smattering of garlic. She said it didn't taste like it had the extra, but we were assured by the server that they were generous with the stuff. However, the true highlight was the Mushroom Cream Pasta that even my mom raved about. Plenty of mushrooms and I think some truffle oil made it into the sauce. We were even sopping up the extra sauce with our bread. As a mushroom lover, I am happy to declare my satisfaction.
For dessert, we shared a slice of Chocolate Cake (PHP 120). This is the classic, moist chocolate cake that has a homemade quality to it, and I mean that in an absolutely positive way. It's like your favorite baker Aunt's recipe consistently produced. We liked the ratio of frosting to cake, the level of sweetness (not too sweet) and the caramel filling that, by the way, is not the dulce de leche condensed milk kind. It had a much subtler taste. We even appreciated the tiny jug of extra caramel sauce served on the side. As far as choco cakes go, I like that this particular one has such a wholesome image. It's not trying to be a picture of excess (sinful/oily/drippy chocolate sauce), but that's what makes it so charming. I have to wonder if the whole cake also comes with the deliciously light caramel sauce.
Verdict: For a pastry shop that's mostly known for its kiosks, Mary Grace has done a good job with the full-fledged cafe. If the constantly full dining outlets are any indication, the food and the ambiance are hits. I'll definitely be back for the Mary Grace Mushroom Cream Pasta and the Chocolate Cake.
Bought their plate with grilled chicken with oranges salad. I'm not used to eating salad that's I hesitated a bit but after the first few bites... I really loved the salad specially the black olives ;) The pasta was also really delish. And the chocolate cake was really moist and made the meal even more complete ;) Will come back for more.

I would never think of going to the Mary Grace Cafe for anything other than buying toasted ensaymada to go. And now I have a reason to drop by during lunch or dinner. I love the grilled chicken breast fillet on quinoa and asparagus. It seems like a very light and flavorless skinny-b*tch meal, but I was pleasantly surprised to find how tasty and filling it was.
I love everything in this restaurant - their food (cakes and pasta are the best!), the ambiance, the fixtures, their Christmas ornaments, the people who serve your fòod, etc. I would definitely go back to this restaurant to try their salad and other dishes.
If you're looking for a casual dining restaurant that provides irresistibly delectable food, five-star waiter service, and cozy ambience, Mary Grace is perfect for you.
My friend Sasa and I visited this branch today. For the main meal, we ordered Pasta Amatriciana with Italian Meatballs and Mary Grace Mushroom Cream. Both of these pasta dishes were al dente and well-seasoned — truly cooked to perfection. Each dish also came with a crunchy, well-toasted garlic bread, which was equally satisfying.
For dessert, we ordered Chocolate Mousse and Black Velvet Cake. The classic Chocolate Mousse was mildly sweet and heavenly; while the signature Black Velvet was moist and devilishly good.
The overall area of the place is the reason why I didn't give a full 5-point rating for this review. This branch is a bit cramped inside, although I think this factor adds to the cafe restaurant's homely feel. I guess you can say that it's more of a compliment than actual criticism.
I was pleased to see a somewhat sampler platter under their "perfect plate" menu which offers a 3-course meal for 1. We had the tomato and herb plate split between the two of us, then the margherita pizza and 2 glasses of their flavored iced teas. The ambiance was warm and comfortable, and the service equally so.
We were quite hungry so I forgot to take pictures of the food... it just came... and disappeared in a flurry of tomato and olives...
First off, the iced tea, I would suggest ordering 1 and splitting it between the two of you with an extra glass filled to the brim with ice... and water. It was too sweet and the syrup was overpowering, it was not pleasant. The tomato and herb pasta was quite an oily mouthful, yes, it was olive oil but still, it was really swimming in oil which I don't think it should do as it was under the 'tomato-based pasta' category which I took to mean tomato sauce, I was wrong... The salad- grilled chicken and orange with black olive dressing was so-so maybe because I was hoping for a runnier sauce. Then there was the pizza, it negated all our qualms about this restaurant... we were finally really really happy with the food! It was wonderful! Thin, crispy crust, fresh flavors, it was a beautiful marriage of bread, cheese, herbs and vegetables! Last but not least, the cake for the day- Black Velvet, yes it deserves to be hailed as a proper noun. If we weren't so bloated we could've finished a whole cake! The sour cream icing and rich fudgy chocolate cake sang a chorus of decadence!
I would definitely go back for the pizza amd the cake and have water or hot tea if I were feeling posh. Haha
We really wanted to eat here so we waited for our turn, good thing, the staff offered to give us a call once they can accommodate us. It was almost 30 mins, but the wait was worth it! We were seated at the back of the restaurant and so we had a view of Araneta and other places to eat to. It was a lazy rainy afternoon and the place feels so cozy. Its' vintage interior design and wooden panel walls where family photos, hard bound books, quotes about family, love, and life, and other trinkets hang really makes the place feels like being warmly welcomed in someone's home. There are also notes of admiration/love for their food/service written on stationery tucked under each tables' glass reassures you're in the place of great food and service.
I had the Spicy Lemon Scampi and asked their staff/chef to lessen the spiciness of the dish, I know it says "Spicy" but I'm just fond of pasta and seafood (shrimp,) and that's the only dish they have on their menu that have both. 😅 Also, it has asparagus! 😋 It was flavorful! My hubby had one of their Perfect Plates-Tomato and Herb, and it was a good choice. The salad/pasta/cake for 395 was a great deal. I love the Grilled Chicken and Oranges Salad with Black Olive Dressing! It was superb! He had the cake of the day, which was apple pie. For drinks, he had a home made iced tea-Sangria and mine was Iced Mocha! Their Iced Mocha was so far the best I've ever had! And finally, dessert! The Mango Bene of Mary Grace was heaven! It was mouthwatering to begin with and yes it was delish!
To top it all, they also had the best crew so far! We've been to many restaurants, cafes, etc., and none of them offered the same consistent courtesy they had. Even the staff assigned in their bakery thanked and bid us goodbye joyfully. 😊 They also had a temporary bill for diners to see if they got everything right. Again, kudos for the restaurant's homey interior design, luscious food, and courteous crew. 💗
Mary Grace's Chocolate Mousse is Delicious!!! But you need to consume it the soonest possible cause it's delicate (temperature sensitive) Try their Chocolate Truffle too!!
Well, haven't tried grilled ensaymada and cheese rolls anywhere else but here. :) both are great. I like the cheese rolls better though. *empty plate because cheeeeese hahaha *good food if plate is empty yum yum!
been to Mart Grace for a lot of times already... at first i was so in love with their "Mango Bene" then to their "Cheese Roll" (which my daughter loves so much!) then hooked up with their hot coffee "Americano" with their classic "Ensaymada"... oh my the "Ensaymada" filled in my cravings...
Interior: Cozy, warm & vintage. Feels like every corner of the space is full of motherly love.
Food/Taste: Very, very good for my liking. In my opinion, this is one of the best breakfast/rice meals I've had. Their rice for the Tapa meal was very flavorful! Their mango bene is like heaven on earth for me. I will surely recommend this to foodies.
Price: A bit expensive but totally understandable. Their food is worth paying for.
Staff/Crew: Attentive, friendly and very accommodating! They try to make conversations with guests.
Plus points with their temporary receipt so you can check if they punched in the correct orders and for customers be ready for how much they will be paying for their meal.
My second try at Mary Grace. The same with my first experience which is in Sm North, their cake is very delish and the staffs are friendly. I think I found my favorite place to kill time.
I have tasted their beef tapa with scrambled eggs, meat is so tender and juicy paired with fresh fruit platter. I like the ambiance and the polite attentive staff. Although its a little pricey but you will be satisfied and its worth the experience. I like it here, definitely will go back again
I've tried more outlets than here. My observations : 1) the servers are very attentive. Though some branches may lack servers , they try to cope and be pleasant 2) I like the attention to details of the interiors. I've always fancied country style designs , they never go out of style. Very homey feel. 3) food styling makes their food even more appetizing. 4) the pastas and couscous are my faves., 5) actually, it is relatively expensive to eat here averaging 500ph per person considering it is just a casual cafe resto.
The authenticity of the feel-good atmosphere matches the delicate taste of the cakes and the appetizer! The cassava chips with onion dip balances out the semi-sweet goodness of their Sansrival and the Black Velvet. I appreciated the tanginess of the lemon water and the prompt service given by the branch's food personnel, as well. I've always wondered what made their customers leave snippets of themselves under the glass mantel. Now, I understand - the food was worth it, the atmosphere sparkled with delish food dust! Bon Appetit self...🍰💗☕️
I recommend the tomato and herb pasta for those who want something like puttanesca; strong flavors!!
I tried their ham and almond salad. The vinaigrette just made all the ingredients a perfect combination!
So far, my favorite of their cakes is the black velvet cake. Not so sweet, not bland, very moist!
Also, their service is the best I have ever experienced of all the restaurants I have been to. When you ask something from them, they comply and make an effort to exceed expectations.
I would definitely return. I hope though that they have a more spacious location.
I've always adored Café Mary Grace's interior and food. It feels so homey, and it brings you back to that old childhood memory of your granny's homecooking, especially if you're a probinsyana like me!
Because I had to go to Libis earlier, without a car (color coding), I had no other option but to ride the train going back to Makati. No cab drivers would want to take me as far as Gateway Mall, unfortunately. So I decided to call one of my good friends and asked her to join me for a quick-late lunch.
We just grabbed a few bites, as we both need to go back to our respective jobs. She had the Salmon pasta and Raspberry Smoothie while I ordered the Fili Beef and Tomato sandwich plus a cup of coffee.
I personally liked the enthusiasm of the servers, especially in refilling our glasses with water without even barging 'em to do so. Maybe they are used to this kind of fast service since most of their customers here tend to just eat up and immediately leave right after. Nonetheless, it was still great. We we're so hooked up with our exchange of stories that we didn't even notice the flow of people passing by.
Keep it up, team Gateway!
The corners of this place were nicely put to use to accommodate a person or two. Not really conducive for big groups that want some privacy over food. Tables are nicely decorated with a handcrafted flowers made out from seashells, lightly dyed to add some color. The food tastes much better than what I've expected. The vongole is good, fili beef and tomato sandwich (the sandwich itself is notable) too, limone santi is a must try (people who doesn't like sweets will like this), that sans rival and strawberry shortcake, and classic carbonara! ;) the staff are friendly. Since there's no seat available when we arrived, we were waitlisted and one staff offered to ring me when our seat is ready, while we go around and window shop. How nice is that!? That's what you call customer service. Awesome!!
Mary Grace was once a stall in Gateway. Now they have their own store to which I remember, was Figaro's before. Good thing it was replaced to Mary Grace! :D
We ordered a slice of Chocolate Truffle and Mango Bene. Both cakes are commendable! :") Service was great because the staff are very attentive and always smiling. They always kept on refilling our glasses of water - pantanggal umay. :) Cozy place and great ambiance! ♥ (not to mention that the place is located in a crowded part of the mall). I like their tables, tucked with notes under its glass from happy customers. I also wrote mine because they gave me a mini stationary too! :) I'll definitely go back! To eat again, of course, and to find my note! :P
Despite the crowded and busy place outside their stall, you can feel the coziness, like "feel at home" inside. They have also nice background music for the customers to relax while waiting for food.
Their staff is attentive and they always smile. I don't know, maybe because of the service charge? Lol.
We ordered cakes for dessert. Mango Bene is good and will come back for this. Chocolate Truffle, is also good.
If you want some sweets after work you can go here. :)
The place is cozy and lovely! Just don't mind the countless people passing outside to and fro the MRT. Lol. I love their table setting with the little notes and letters tucked under the table's glass. It kinda reminds you of home. The food was superb! I'm a pasta fan and I can honestly say that their's is just.. YUM! Will go back and try their signature Hot Chocolate. :)
Despite the hustle and bustle of the mall, my dining experience at Mary Grace Cubao was pretty good. Definitely coming back for more. During this visit, decided to try theMary Grace Mushroom Cream and the Leek and Saffron with Cream Dory. Aroma was really good and pasta cooked just right. Not soggy at all. But for me, their Smoked Salmon and Cream is still my favorite from their pastas.
