We ordered crispy pata, kare kare and bulalo. Kare kare and bulalo were so-so, nothing spectacular but the crispy pata was the star of our meal. The skin was crispy, and the meat was flavorful and tender.
I will definitely go back because anixs serves the best crispy pata in town!

I felt like eating in my own house because of the ambiance. That was the best Kare-kare I've ever tasted in my 21 years of existence! I swear! There's something really different in this food. I don't know what ingredients added, but it was not really the usual Kare-kare. Not being OA ha. I swear it is so delicious. We've also ordered Sinigang na hipon, very lutong Pinoy, same, it's so satisfying! We end up asking for extra rice. HAHAHAA!

Went here after ust back to school concert. Our tummy was growling and their kare-kare was the best way to stop our stomach from doing so. The best kare-kare in Manila I've tasted so far!

Friday Club strikes again... this time we tried this place as suggested by one of our colleagues. It's such a big place, homey, & spacious. The plan was to order their classic kare-kare & lechon kawali. We were only 6, 2 were not able to join us. The crew suggested to replace our lechon kawali w/ crispy pata, & I added the ginataang suso, which I have been craving for for the past 3 days. Their kare-kare & crispy pata were to die for. Not all suso were good, 3 pcs tasted so gross but yes, it was still a happy tummy experience for the Friday Club. An iced cold Coca Cola best suited our 3 choices.

Their Kare-kare oxtail is probably one of the best I've had so far. Their Chicken dish (w/ fried potatoes) is also good. Overall, it was a nice dining experience @ Anix's and we'll definitely visit again.

Anix's boasts of delicious Filipino dishes which reminds me so much of my mom's cooking. We love the boneless bangus ala pobre, sizzling seafood, and of course, their signature Kare-Kare! It's a restaurant bar, so you can actually enjoy your beer too! Here the serve beer below zero, and it nicely goes well with your chosen pulutan. You can have your lunch with the family and later on drinks with your friends. Been here thrice already, so keep it up Anix!

Must try yung Kare Kare. Good ambience. Malaki yung place and when we were there may shooting pa. They have very accomodating staff. Pricey ng slight but sulit naman. Roughly 2k for 6pax.

Now my go-to restaurant for no frills Pinoy food, Anix serves the best crispy pata in the city. Skin is crispy and meat is so tender and juicy. Yum!

Also try their inihaw na pusit (but it is a very small serving), kinilaw na tanigue and mutya soup (it's a seafood cream soup).

Service here is also great. The waiters are attentive and friendly.

Highly recommended!

My husband North's aunt was admitted to the hospital for high blood pressure and fluid found in her lungs. We stopped by to visit her, and I pray that she'll be all right. We stayed for about... Half the day. So by dinnertime, I was starving! His familia suggested this place and it was my first time there. To be honest, I never would've gone if it weren't for my husband. From the outside, it looks like a typically bar/restaurant where people go to drink all night. Well, I don't go out at night and I don't drink, so this place would have never crossed my mind. But, don't judge a place by its appearance!

We ordered their best sellers:

Classic Kare-Kare
Anix's is known for their kare-kare, but it was all right for me. With kare-kare, I only like eating the vegetables, and this dish has plenty of that so I was happy! :)

Boneless Bangus a La Pobre
This. Was. So. Amazingly. Good! I love bangus! And I was so happy that it was boneless. Hahaha!

Inihaw na Pusit
The sauce for the pusit (squid) was delicious, and the squid was so tender. I'd suggest though stuffing it with tomatoes AND onions and not just onions - it was a little overwhelming for my taste.

Lumpiang Shanghai
Typical fried egg rolls. It was good, but not great. And it was also not bad.

Service was slow (I'm starting to notice that the service isn't as nice, wherever mi familia and I go). It took 15 minutes for my husband to get hot water, and we saw that it was actually on the counter, waiting to be served, but by then the water had gone cold. So, it took another 15 minutes for the second cup to arrive.

I also wanted to try their bulalo and this one dish with gravy (it was served on a sizzling plate), but what we got was more than enough. Everything here was pretty affordable. I'll definitely come back though... For those two dishes.

My family and I always choose Anix's House of Kare-Kare over Max's (Im not against Max's, their foods are also delicious). There's something special about Anix's foods. Though its kind of expensive but I can reassure you that they have the best Filipino foods I've tasted. Especially of course their kare-kare and crispy pata. Everytime there is a family celebration we always celebrate it here.

Their version of kare-kare is one of the best in town. You can really taste the peanut-y falvor and no doubt that the oxtail makes the dish all the more yummy (my belief is that the only good kare-kare is with oxtail, and not with seafood or veggies only). Nice too that the meat from the oxtail was very tender and the "falls off the bone" type. A great bonus is that I really like their bagoong -- it has a sweet-mildy spicy taste and is just a tad salty. This is now my current choice for oxtail kare-kare which is affordable. I am aware that there are better ones out there but not at this price point. The dish is enough for 2 hungry persons.

Their fried hito was also yummy, in fact better than the one we had recently in Balay Dako (wherein I raved about the burong hipon). Thing is, their buro was sub-par, and this somehow was a letdown for us. Their buro is definitely not made of shrimps but rather, of fish. I do not mind burong dalag but I suspect this was made from tilapia which is never my choice of buro. But one other thing is that only one hito was served which makes this dish somewhat expensive

The overall experience was nonetheless great, and we shall be returning when the craving for yummy oxtail kare-kare presents itself again.

Anix is one of the places that i can say tops my lola's kare-kare. The peanut butter used is made from scratch and not store brought. The overall ambiance is very relaxed, and they have vip rooms for special functions.
beer is always served closed, so if ever your bottle gets warm, you can ask it to be changed for a cold one.

A colleague and I went here for a business meeting. We were there on a Monday night. I find the place quite ok and the whole restaurant is breezy. Good place to hangout when your tired and want to relax.

Though I must comment on the beers, make it extra cold before serving to the guests

One of the best tasting Filipino food! Made reservations for Father's day and though there were only a few tables left, it was delightful to hear Edgar say over the phone "salamat po, sana po makarating sila dito sa amin ngayong gabi." We were greeted and Edgar ushered us to the table, and always remembered my name when he spoke. Very maasikaso. A set menu was suggested but we chose a la carte instead. Our orders:Kare-kare classic, Sinigang na Bangus Belly, Chicken in a Basket (super yummy fries!), Baked oysters (very fresh, we were surprised), Pork Sisig served sizzling hot and mixed at the table, and Lumpiang Sariwa -- all very very good and not scrimping on ingredients! Kudos to the chef. We love dining out and it was really great to know that Anix can deliver not only superb Kare-kare but also the best of their other menu items! Everybody enjoyed the fantastic dinner. You have great service, smiling and well-coordinated staff (even though the place was full!), and obviously good management. Congratulations, we'll spread the word  and we'll be back!
