Since it's super near our place, we went and tried Pepe's Meat Burga.

The place is quite small but still very relaxing.
We ordered NKKLK(double cheeseburger) and Burga(cheeseburger) with fries and unlimited iced tea.

The iced tea and fries are just like your ordinary iced tea and fries. But for the burger, it tastes like wham burger but with a very cheap price. It is really a must try!

Also, their Sriracha hot sauce is da bomb! 💖

Pepe’s Meat is a small, 15ish-seater food establishment hidden within the streets of Kamuning. It is somehow similar to the style of Snack Shack in UP, where it is more ideal to order for take-out [as many customers do], but at the same time, they also have tables for those who wish to enjoy the burgers right off the grill. The open-air setting contributes to its somewhat restful atmosphere. The balance of noise from the streets and aromatic scent from the grilled patties pieces together such a distinctive experience. Being a small space, you can see your order being prepared right in front of you -- from the flattening of the patty up to the plating before it is served to you.

The crew ordered Borbaque (Cheeseburger with BBQ sauce), NKKLK (double cheeseburger), BORTA (triple cheeseburger), Borba Rice (Burger Patty and Rice), and some fries.

All of the burgers were pretty much the same, as it was the number of patties that varied. Each burger consisted of buns, patties, cabbage, tomato, onions, ketchup, mayo, and mustard. There was also a bottle of Sriracha to hype up the meal.

The composition of the patty was extraordinary. It was very tender, but at the same time, did not crumble in your mouth. As you bite, it would stay firm, and you would feel the compactness of the meat. The burger lets you chew every bit of the burger and enjoy the luscious taste in each bite. The meat was very flavorful, which can be tasted when eating it, and seen when you watch them preparing your burger.

The vegetables were fresh, and its vibrant colors added to the appeal of the burger. The right amount of ketchup, mayo, and mustard were present, in such a way that it does not overpower the taste of the patty, but at the same time, its flavor can be easily tasted. The cheese might be a little too strong, as we thought that the patty was too salty, when it was actually coming from the cheese. The barbecue sauce tasted like any other barbecue sauce, but went perfectly with the burger.

The attribute we like best about the burgers of Pepe’s Meat is that it is not messy at all! We finished our meals with clean plates; no drips from condiments or parts that have fallen off. That was plus pogi points for Pepe.

The fries were pretty plain, but no burger meal is complete without fries, so it was fine.

Overall, the place was cozy and the burgers were great. Makes for a chill night. Special thanks to the owners, Pia, Pat, and Sam, for the great hospitality!
