The Banh Mi is to die for!!!! Can't get over it. Super yummy and its bread is crispy on the outside but soft in the inside. Very tasty, fresh and full of flavor. Coffee is strong and very nice as well. New fave place!

The bread was crunchy and crusty on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside, the pate delectable, the veggies crisp and the pork soft...Loved my first taste of the Traditional Banh mi! The Beef Pho too didn't let down, as the flavorful broth was both clean yet well rounded, without the sting of MSG. Best of all was the friendly service that made for a top notch experience! Shout out to our waiter Conrad for making our lunch so enjoyable!

If you are craving for Vietnamese food, this is where you should go. Fresh crispy vegetables to go with my rice meal. Beefy broth from the pho tasted really good. Top that with good and attentive service crew. Then youll know you really are in the right place.

For my starter I had Goi Cuon a refreshing appetizer and Chao tom or sugar cane shrimp skewer ; munching on the sweet sugarcane at the end is one of the fun part. Vietnamese pho An easy soup to fall in love with. The noodles are flash boiled until soft, with your choice of meat, and often finished with a sprinkle of chopped green onions or sweet onions, the very rich fine taste of the broth and lastly the fresh herbs. Each dish has a distinctive flavor. One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the country.

I like their Chicken Banh Mi, the texture and flavor blended well. The Spring Rolls were equally satisfying. Vietnamese cuisine is great because everything tastes fresh and clean, especially because of all the vegetables. I like that they had pictures of the food in their menu, it really helps in deciding what to order.

There's not much to say because I feel like they did their job as a Vietnamese restaurant well. Looking at their menu makes me want to eat their again soon.

Along Maginhawa and its neighborhood, you get to identify decent authentic cuisines per culture that you would recommend to your friends and family. Example: Friuli - Italian, Meshwe - Lebanese, Buen Comer - Mexican, etc. I believe that Vietnomnom deserves that title (Vietnamese??) with dishes that satisfied our palate. We ordered a Pomelo and Shrimp salad, classic beef phó, traditional bahn mi, Vietnamese coffee, and pressed sugar cane drink. All of them were REALLY GOOD but the one that stood out was the salad, with a right mix of shrimp, pomelo, radish, peanuts and so much more. Very refreshing and very clean to it. Not only the food is good, but the price is decent considering the amount of serving per dish. Give it a try!

Absolutely love their bahn mi and salads!! Not so much their pho. Their french toast is also really good; it takes them a bit too long to prepare, though. Also, their Vietnamese coffee is the best one I’ve had so far :)

Ambiance: good
Price: fairly reasonable

Vietnomnom is one of our go to places when we want something fresh, good, and healthy!

I'm no doctor, but I swear by the curative effects of Vietnamese food.

Characterized by the abundant use of herbs and leafy vegetables, Vietnamese cuisine is one of the healthiest around. But that's not entirely why I think it's a remedy to one's aches and pains. There's something about a good bowl of pho that can kick a bad cold or stomachache.

I ventured to Vietnomnom for this reason. Feeling under the weather for the past couple of days, I wanted nothing more than food that allows me to heal and meditate.

One of the things people will most likely appreciate about Vietnomnom is its carefully curated menu. It doesn't offer you dozens of confusing options; instead, it offers you small choices--will it be noodles or rice? How about banh mi? That's as far as you get when it comes to choosing what to eat. Another thing about the menu is that all items come with pictures, a crucial thing for people who are only starting to discover the joys of Vietnamese food.

We went with our Vietnamese favorites: Goi Cuon (Shrimp) (P215), Beef Pho (P250), and Chicken Pho (P250). That's when the server apologized and said that they were phasing out Chicken Pho and replacing it with something that I loved even more: Bun Bo Hue, a spicy, savory noodle soup. But before the Bun Bo Hue is available, we had to choose something else to replace our Chicken Pho order, and we ended up with the Grilled Pork Com Tam (P175). We also threw in the Traditional Banh Mi (P175) just for kicks.

Orders came a few minutes later. One sip of the pho and I knew--this wasn't it. Despite being simmered for 12 hours, the broth didn't have the meditative, almost transcendent quality of pho I'm used to. Nevertheless, the soup did have the distinct flavor of beef, and it was topped with enough beef slices. Still, if the broth didn't make me close my eyes in pleasure, it has a long way to go.

Served on the side are basil, chili, bean sprouts, and a slice of lime, which would be customarily added to the hot soup. Don't underestimate the chili--it can turn your friendly broth to an angry one in seconds.

Despite the lackluster pho, everything else we ordered was marvelous. The fresh spring rolls, albeit pricey, were positively delightful. The aromatics on this one wasn't as strong as our favorite version from Tra Vinh, but the combination of the hoisin-peanut sauce, lettuce, vermicelli, carrots, and shrimp did provide enough satisfaction.

The true bright spots were the Traditional Banh Mi and the Grilled Pork Com Tam. The Banh Mi's bread was perfect--crunchy on the outside, soft and dreamy on the inside. It housed the fillings well, which included Vietnamese ham, homemade pate, pickled carrots and radishes, and cilantro. A bottle of hoisin is on every table, so you're allowed to go crazy with the pungent sauce.

Meanwhile, the rice on the Grilled Pork Com Tam would make any Vietnamese mother proud. Fluffy, lively, almost sweet, it was the star of the show. The pork was tender and nicely seasoned, and with a drizzle of the lime fish sauce dressing, it truly comes alive. The vegetables on the side of the bowl also played their part in making this a hit.

After eating, I finally got to appreciate the small details that make Vietnomnom a charming hole-in-the-wall. Floor-to-ceiling murals, industrial yet homey interiors--indeed, the owners knew what they were doing when they opened up shop. I learned a few months ago that the people behind Hizon's Catering were also responsible for opening this restaurant, and I'm not surprised. Vietnomnom may be a newbie, but it takes traditional Vietnamese cuisine and serves it like a veteran.

I went to Vietnomnom hoping to find a bowl of pho that will finally calm my piercing headache and give me the clarity I've been looking for. Instead, I found something else: a lesson that you can find satisfaction and healing where you least expect it, like an unassuming rice bowl or an expertly baked banh mi bun.

Vietnomnom is located at 1E Ground Floor, 189 Maginhawa Street, Quezon City, Philippines

Small menu selection but all items looks great. Food taste good and serving size is on the bigger side but not exactly overwhelming. Like their pho, it's a bit big for single serving but I don't think it's good for two. Their staff are very nice and accommodating and over all I had a great experience 😊

Decent Vietnamese food for the price. We ordered just about everything from their menu, since they had few and focused items. The Pho was good, but just enough for 1 (don't believe the waiter if he says it's for sharing!), the rice bowl was also good. The bhan mi was okay, but I've had much better around the country. The Vietnamese coffee was good, too, but ask them to have the condensed milk in a separate container so that you'll be able to control the sweetness!

Update: We went there for the second time a week later and I want to say that I enjoyed the pho PHO real this time because the first time, I was not feeling well and was having a mild case of sinusitis so I wasn't able to taste it well. But the next time we went there to eat, I appreciated it so much and was able to taste the full flavors of the pho. 😋😋😋 So from 4.5 rating, now let's blow it to 5! And also the guy from the counter recognized us immediately and served us himself. He is so kind! Thank you for your service. 😊

First review:

Went there on a Thursday night and there were only four customers including me. The area is well-lit, has enough space and the wall designs looks refreshing. They were playing Lea Salonga songs (must be the Miss Saigon feels) and the staff was accommodating. The price is reasonable for the quality of food they can offer. Last time I went there, I tried their Beef Pho, Mushroom Spring Rolls, Sugarcane Lime Juice, Bahn Mi and the dessert, Coffee mousse.
The pho's okay and the noodles are all tender and easy to eat. The beef slices were generous in size and amount. I am not really a fan of spicy pho and this is not spicy at all which I liked, so other people may find it "not spicy at all" compared to Vietnamese standards.
The mushroom spring rolls ... I have no other words for this but I really loved it! It goes well with their lime and peanut sauce. It's now one of my favorites and a reason why I'll keep coming back to this place.

Yup value for money viet food! :-) This place serves really crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside banh-mi. Their filling was soft, mushy and crunchy at the same time. It was perfect. We also ordered the chicken rice bowl. The sauce was umami sourish, with the right kind of tangy. I must say though thay after a few spoonfuls I felt full already. Finally we had beef pho. Their pho can be improved. Although it was rich in beef flavor, it was not piping hot, which is characteristic of Viet Nam's well loved pho. As for their interiors, it were well thought off. It was lush and green, reminscent of country side dining. Their restroom was likewise commendable. Overall I would recommend this!

I love Vietnamese food so I got excited when Vietnomnom finally opened in Maginhawa. I was really waiting for this restaurant to open because it is near my place. I tried it one time after my yoga practice for a post-workout meal. I loved the ambience and the service. However, the food choices are few so I got a bit disappointed. The food's just so-so (compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I tried) but I still enjoyed it since it's healthy.

Best banh mi ever in my life! Especially the traditional banh mi was almost same taste as one in Vietnam. Can't live without this for my healthy lunch. Although Pho needs to develop their soup, other menus such as spring rolls, salad, sugar cane juice, Vietnam coffee and sweets are all amazing. I liked the salad bowl a lot. Definitely will come back here often :))

It’s my first time in Maginhawa. Known as a big food jungle that is home to new restaurant concepts, food parks and themed cafes, Maginhawa’s food choices seemed horrendously endless. Having thought that we’d end up chaotically checking each restaurant and confusing ourselves with the number of selections, we settled on a recent craving of mine: Vietnamese food.

It somehow reminds me of two significant things: first, my cancelled birthday trip to Vietnam with friends this year; and secondly, an unforgettable dining years ago at Ba nois, another Vietnamese food gem in Makati. Hence, Vietnomnom was the destination with all these special reasons and reminders.

The restaurant had nice interiors: modern, sleek and vibrant. The shades of green and yellow suggest freshness, and radiates a cheerful aura to its diners. I liked that this spot in Maginhawa is spacious compared to its neighbors.

The timing was perfect since we got ourselves hungry after strolling from Barkin Blends, which I will discuss in another blog post. After indulging in sinful burgers and pasta, we thought of resorting to lighter food choices: Phó Noodles and spring rolls.

Chris got this Beef Phó while I got the Chicken. Vietnamese restaurants usually brag about simmering the broth for 12 hours to bring out the innate, meaty flavor in Phó noodles. I had probably set the meter too high from my experience at Ba nois, where the broth is really tasty. Nevertheless, the beef flanks were tender and juicy and the rice noodles had the right texture. It was a just bit pricy for its small serving size and not-so-impressive taste.

Each Phó serving comes with a complimentary plate of mung bean sprouts (togue), mint leaves, chili and lime. I am not a big fan of togue so I skipped adding this to my soup, and tried to enhance the flavor with chili and lime.

I got Chicken and Egg Phó so we can both taste two different versions. I liked that the chicken was cooked well and didn’t have the fishy taste that I usually complain about when eating chicken noodles. The broth was invigorating but not as savory as I expected it to be. The soup had the apparent chicken-taste in it, but can be improved more.

Good thing, the Gòi Cuón or Shrimp Spring Roll redeemed it all. A healthy appetizer perfect to pair the noodles, Gòi Cuón comes in variants of Shrimp, Chicken and Mushroom. The lettuce is enclosed in rice wrapper and rolled with rice vermicelli, carrots, radish, shrimp, cucumber and topped with nuts. The veggies had the strong taste of vinegar that produces a bold flavor. The assorted fillers bring a delightful contrast of textures, perfectly blending with Hoisin sauce.

I certainly wish they had more beverage options since it was only limited to coffee, soda and Sugar cane and Lime Juice. We found the latter a bit weird. It smells corn but tastes honeydew, not lime.

Although Vietnomnom for me has not captured fully the essence of authentic Vietnamese food, it could a great learning ground for the management’s menu expansion and openness to adapt with changes – just tweak on the basic elements. The location is already nice and the main ingredients are there – just improve the taste and innovate the menu more. I may go back but perhaps not for Pho anymore, but for its sandwiches and salads.

This marks the official start of a Maginhawa food trip series, and I wish to discover plenty notable restaurants and add it to my book.

Found this new restaurant and tried it and the food is awesome! Tried their fish sandwich and I'm not a veggie lover but I finished every veggie in it! We also tried one of their noodle dishes and it was full of flavors and spices! Plus the place looks nice! Also tried their pork rice bowl and it was delicious as well!
