I wasnt expecting much at Php189 but wow, that was a pretty good piece of steak. and very generous thick serving as well. nicely flavored, brick oven baked for the nice smell. They recommended medium well, so i complied and was happy that the meat was still tender despite the doneness. good stuff. I understand why they have been there so long and are probably there to stay.
Brickfire is a Katip staple! A lot of people I know don't like it here but I really like their pork chops. Super good & budget-friendly! I'm not a huge fan of their steaks cos they're usually too thin.
This is your typical cheap steaks.. No need to ask for the doneness of steak since it has thin cuts already none the less still value for money.

If you're craving for Steak and you're on a tight budget, hop on Brickfire and you can avail cheap steaks which are really good. Their burger is also a winner while their shrimp pasta is one to try.
Two words: CHEAP STEAK! I love that theirs was medium rare, truly filling and value for money for less than 200 php. The adobo with the sinamak/ choppes veggies was also delicious, we got the spicy one. The burger is also a must try, though you may want to inform them if you want your burger to be well done as ours was a bit on the medium side. Will definitely be back.
My all time favorite! ❤️ Cowgirl Annie at medium well doneness is the best! Paired with their lumpy mashed potato. Also, their salted egg pasta is a must-try. 👌🏻
Cheap steak is always blissul, and it is what Brickfire blissfully provides! With just PHP 189, you get served a big slab of well-done beef, iconic sauce, rice and corn and veggies as sides! Also, no need to grow tough biceps to slice their steak - slicing them is manageable. I'm drooling as I am typing this because they truly are a wonder.
Great work, but pls improve your interiors. Make them more appealing. And please replace the Menu - the pages are tattered and unattractive.
Tried their steak and it really tastes good with its gravy. The Bully Burger tastes well with less extenders. Their Mango Crab Salad and Seafood Chowder are so yummy.
Haven’t really tried their steaks which is what they are mainly known for. But i think their tapa is extremely underrated - it’s not your usual sweet tapa drenched in sauce, it’s more like a dry, tangy tapa with an almost fried crusty exterior (they probably dredge it in cornstarch or flour?). Basta, super unique, super TASTY. Especially with the vinegar they serve it with!!! One of my favorite tapsilog dishes in the city. And at 130 pesos with iced tea, its such a good deal!!
Everyone goes for the cowgirl annie but I think the real winner here is their adobo.
The dish is wrapped inside a leaf which is then placed inside a piece of bamboo(?). It also comes with a hard-boiled egg and an interesting vinegar dip.
Really affordable meals! I got their pork adobo (served with hard-boiled egg and vinegar with spices), and I think the banana plate did a good job making the meal nostalgic. The place was also not crowded on the Sunday I visited -- perfect for ruminating and planning.
Brickfire, also one good steak place. On 2 separate occassions, we tried the angus steak and their normal steak, both were excellent on their price. Angus steak was really good and found a place in my heart. One thing to improve on is their gravy. Still okay but needs improvement.
Food
Cowgirl Annie Original is my go to dish. I really dont bother much with the others since I find it disappointing. It's great cheap steak when you dont have thousands to spend on steak. I happily ask for the fattiest steak, because we all have to live a little. The gravy goes well with the steak. But the corn and carrots are rather bland.
Sometimes, they get a little inconsistent with the medium rare and I get a well done steak. But in this particular visit, they got it right.
Service
Service is great they refill empty glasses right away. And theyre very friendly. No complaints here.
Cutlery
Odd thing to review, yes I know, but when you're trying to slice through steak fat you need sharp knives. And well, their serrated knives arent good enough to make it easy cutting through steak.

Props to this place for being brave enough to serve a wasabi steak- the risk paid off! Definitely not a bad place to enjoy quality steaks that won't cost an arm or a leg.
Food was okay. Not superb but okay. Service was a bit slow when I went there. It's a good thing I wasnt hungry. What I love is their salad that has these crunchy wantons (?) it was really good! I would come back for that.

If there's anything I splurge on more than shoes and clothes, it's food. I can scrimp on stilettos and bandage dresses but not food, especially when it's worth it--and I'm not on a diet. Lol. I recall quite vividly how we were led to the Steak haven that is Brickfire. My friends and I decided to drop by Shopwise Katipunan to get stuff for our art project at work the next day, we got hungry so we decided to drive a couple of blocks and saw "Oven-roasted steaks and chops"--and it was love at first sight.
Crab mango salad was so so... too much fried wonton wrappers as toppings at mas mahal pa sya sa steak .. gaz
Cheesy nachos and fries.. okay lang.. mas masarap nacho king.. pinaghalo lang nila nacho chips and french fries para magmukhang kakaiba he he he
I ordered the honey mustard rub steak.. for 220gm steak.. its sulit semi-sarap.. semi kasi masarap ang rub kaso rubbery ang steak.. to think we had it cooked medium well na.. so dpat medium rare? 😆
Affordable and good steak restaurant. The service was fast. They had promo for unlimited rice but I availed the mashed potato option instead.
Kinda hard to locate because it is at the back of the Katipunan avenue. Limited parking.
This is affordable for students and young professionals.
Had lunch here a while ago and it's quite disappointing that there were a lot of things not available. Even their root beer was not available. The prices are cheap and the food is okay. I just hope they make all the good in their menu available.
Ate here twice already same order - Cowgirl Annie big size. Really sulit for the price of less than 250 php 🙃 steak was soft and fatty. There was a small cockroach on the wall during my first visit ☹️ Better than SM North branch where they served me "med rare", but it was very tough. Better to order Cowgirl Annie than the Duke (tenderloin).
We weren't planning on dinning here but I'd say it was a good choice. I've read several reviews for Brickfire and they'd always suggest Cowgirl Anne steak but i got the Saddle steak. Why? Cause (this may sound funny XD) I calculated how much does per gram of Cowgirl Anne costs and it's about php 0.75 (it's php 164 for 220 g) and how much per gram of Saddle steak costs which is php 0.70 (php 244 for 350g) so getting the Saddle steak will save me about php 17. so yeah. hahahaha. i think saving php 17 is good and i like meat so why not get the one with the bigger serving?
Anyways, I'd say the taste was okay or good enough. It's because I personally prefer stronger flavors and I find their steak more on the mild side. When we went there, there were only a few costumers so we had a really laid back stay (actually, were the last ones to leave that time) and the staffs were really attentive (maybe because there were fewer people? or maybe they're really just attentive).
Overall, I'd say it's money well spent (compared to my experience at Mad Mark's. 'm sorry. 'm still bitter about it). I just hope they stay that way or at least their serving will stay the same way even when the prices go up.
The ambience was very cozy with the incorporation of bricks into the interior design making the place warm, homey, and comfortable. The cuts they used for the steak I noticed were the cheaper parts of beef, but this wasn't a bad thing at all. Given the price, they really cooked it well enough to bring out the best taste and texture they could. The steak I received was juicy, pink, and flavorful; special mention to the gravy as well. The sevice was very attentive, given that the place was small. I'll be back to order the other items on the menu.
Ordered 2 rare Steaks(not in the pic), jalapeño sticks, bully burger and carbonara!! 'Twas amazing dining in here. Not pricey at all but masarap! The staffs are so attentive. Actually 2x na ko kumakain dito with the same set of orders. And 2x na din sa Sm north edsa branch. Pero mas okay dito sa loyola heights. Mas okay yung mga staffs. Ang sarap balik balikan 💓
The resto is cozy located on a 2nd floor building. Cheap yet tasty steak! I love their salad and the presentation. Limited corner parking lot.
Orders were cowgirl annie (all varieties), burger and adobo. All of us enjoyed our food very much, specially since they were reasonably priced. We doubt that the burger was a real quarter pounder, but it was good anyway. We were surprised that the lemongrass tea was hot, but it tasted good and you can ask for unlimited rice. The servers were responsive to our orders, although they were a little frazzled with our big group and ended up seating us in an uncomfortable sofa with weird ventilation (half the table was cold, the other half on a spotlight because of the lamp). But hey, they serve quality meats at a reasonable price, so would definitely come back, hopefully with better seating next time.
Before Brickfire, we had a go-to place to eat cheap but good steak in QC. But since Brickfire is just in our neighborhood, why go the extra mile for a steak?
Brickfire offers a lot of food choices but their specialty is the Cowgirl Annie Steak. My sister ordered the Cowgirl Annie Steak. She chose the Honey Mustard flavor (there were 2 others: Wasabi and Regular). I was supposed to have the same but I scanned through their menu, just because, and saw their version of Adobo- Los Indios, as they call it.
Cowgirl Annie Steak - Honey Mustard P165.00
+ 45 for bottomless Iced Tea
My sister had it cooked medium well, which is always our doneness preference. It was really good, the combination of honey and mustard was a good medley of flavor- it was on the sweeter side though. If it were me though, I would have chosen the regular classic steak. The gravy was okay, nothing special to it, but good thing the steak does need additional sauce to bring out its flavor. It is juicy and moist, so it was really good.
Los Indios (Pork) P95.00
The viand was wrapped inside the leaf and was placed inside that cylindrical wooden container you see there in the picture, and then placed above it was the vinegar dressing, and then the hard boiled egg on the side. It was a fun act- separating the containers and then opening up the leaf, and even cracking the shell of the egg. There were few meat on the plate however but it was very flavorful so that made up for it. And the sauce, man the vinegar dressing was superb!
There were a lot of other offering in the menu that I wanted to try but I did not want to drown the taste of the food I ate over another one so we opted to try another day instead. The prices are affordable too, really affordable considering the interior and the taste. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in my neighborhood.
Let's start with Brickfire, located at 2nd flr Xavier Residence, near/at the back of McDo Katipunan. Brickfire has variety of foods, mainly steaks but they also serve breakfast meals, burgers and pasta. As the name itself, place is brick themed and very Western. Waiters were very accommodating as they greeted us upon entering and assisted us with our seats.
I haven't seen the menu before we went here so I was surprised that their foods are very affordable. Actually, I really wanna try their pasta but since it's a steakhouse resto, of course I ordered their steak instead. Haha
Here's what we ordered:
Cowgirl Annie in Honey Mustard 220g with Rice (Php164)
- I'm not a fan of steaks but this is soooo good! My friend actually suggested for the doneness to be "Medium Well" since "Well done" would make the steak hard to slice or chew. I don't usually eat steaks so I didn't know this but good thing, I listened. :) The meat was soft, juicy and easy to chew. The sauce along with the corn and carrots, made the meat more yummy! I was quite surprised that the servings given was huuuuge given the price of Php164 only!! Actually, I wasn't able to finish the steak since I was already full.
The Duke (Tenderloin)
- According to my friend, this steak is soft as this one's tenderloin. "Though, hindi ata medium well yung luto naging medium rare.. medyo rare pa yung ibang parts pero oks naman hindi lasang hilaw." My friend also thinks that maybe they lack more veggies/sides included. Though everything’s worth it for the price.
But overall, my experience with Brickfire is really nice. Very affordable and totally recommended steaks! :)
Just a 10 minute walk from the Ateneo, you can get affordable and quality steak at Brickfire. We opted for the Original and the Saddle and both were equally satisfying. The pieces of protein were tender, well seasoned, and cooked the way we liked it.
We were in search of cheap eats!!! Time to be thrifty, without sacrificing being a foodie=)
We just happened upon this resto in the backstreets of Katipunan (as we were getting lost trying to find our way to and from Kalayaan)--getting lost makes me hungry apparently... We tried the cheesy nachos and fries, and anything with cheese is my friend! Then I tried the Cowboy Annie while my boyfriend had The Duke... Yummy in my tummy! really not bad for the price... About 500 for two with drinks and an appetizer, great deal!
Brickfire has a good selection of food. We ordered Cowgirl Annie and Bully Burger for our firsts. I must say that their food did not disappoint and worth our bucks. Though the steak's kinda small for me since I'm a hungry pants with a big stomach 😂 The serving of the sides were little and I think they were heated for multiple times already. Rice is too wet too I did not like it. The steak was very good for the price! I got a little bit off when I went to their comfort room because it insanely stinks!! There's no flush or at least dipper/bucket or something that could be used. No soap, tissue and/or hand dryer. In my opinion, restaurants MUST always keep the comfort room clean at all times. No offense but it's gross if I were to enumerate what I saw 😅 I hope they could improve their facilities. The staffs were friendly and approachable. Keep it up!
Surprisingly cheap for great tasting food! What I ordered was the Bully Burger, which tasted exactly like the burgers of Snack Shack! What makes Brickfire's Bully Burger different from Snack Shack's burger is that the Bully Burger was presented nicely and that you actually have an air conditioned place to dine in, leading to a slightly higher price from Snack Shack's burgers but still being affordable. It was served after around 20 minutes; the steak even came earlier than the burger! The patty of the Bully Burger was big and juicy, covered with a generous amount of melted cheese. The serving size was just right, but for avid fans of burgers like me, an order of the Bully Burger will leave you craving for another. The original Cowgirl Annie tasted like the steak of Snackaroo! Although Brickfire's steak was smaller and less tender, it was still pretty good. Over all, the food was affordable and worth coming back for. I cannot wait to try their other dishes!

We are in search of a good restaurant that serves steaks as I was really craving for it (a need of protein after a strenuous workout). I am glad that Brickfire was able to serve us the quality of steak that I was exactly looking for.
The meat is rich in taste and there are 3 options for "doneness". I selected the "well done" as I want the meat to be chewable for a delicate braced teeth. I am satisfied for its tenderness and I can say that its a braces-friendly steak :)
The steak comes in 3 flavors. Wasabi, original, and honey mustard. I find the honey mustard best among the 3 as it has a mild sweet taste to complement the juiciness of the meat.
I also have tried the Los Indios - pork adobo. It is uniquely served. Enclosed in a bamboo tube and wrapped in a banana leaf. Just like a typical adobo but what makes it special is the way it is served and the special vinegar with some stuff in it to make the taste mild and sweet and sourish.
I am satisfied about my overall stay in this restaurant.
We DO love those "Bully Burgers"! I'm an American, from the land that I suppose is most famous for grilled hamburgers and steaks. This restaurant is at the top of its game, in offering very good burgers, and decent steaks at very cheap prices.
I am very picky about steak and, while I tried one at Brickfire and found it to be ok, I prefer sticking to their excellent burgers. The bread is pretty good, too, and that's a component that some burger joints neglect.
As for sides, I wasn't impressed with french fries here, but the mashed potatoes are good, and I really like their fried jalapeno peppers with sweet and sour sauce.
A great place for some delicious yet cheap gems.
This restaurant serves steaks at student-friendly prices. It's a safe restaurant choice if you don't know where and what to eat. You're sure to get a bang for your buck at Brickfire.
Cons: this place is located at the second floor. No wheelchair access.
If you want steaks but you're on a budget, then this is definitely the place for you!
Cowgirl annie never fails! Easy on the pocket yet absolutely filling and very tasty too!
Affordable and good food. Totally Recommend!
Quick and friendly service. The variety is rather small, but you´ll definitely find something you like!
Totally Recommend!
5 Stars!
I always order the Cowgirl Annie when at Brickfire but last time, we tried something different. My guy ordered the cheaper version of their salpicao. It was okay but their salpicao tenderloin is the bomb so this one is nothing compared to the tenderloin. The serving is also small so he ordered their Bully Burger. It's just 85 pesos and he really liked it! I ordered the Duke and was not disappointed. The mashed potato is creamy but I grew tired of it towards the end. Overall, it's still great and this will always be my go-to neighborhood restaurant for some affordable steaks. 😊

I had the Shrimp in mornay sauce which exceeded my expectations. Although the service was slow, the food was worth it! Definitely be coming back.
I keep coming back because of their Wasabi Steak. I am really a wasabi person and I love everything with WASABI. Kudos to Brickfire for coming up with a steak with wasabi. I really really like it. See you next week! ☺️
We ordered Cowgirl Annie original and honey mustard, medium well. It is served with rice and side veggies. Steak meat was a bit chewy but for the price of 164 petot, we think this is sulit. Place is simple and quiet.
I ordered the cowgirl annie, mac & cheese and tapa and boy was it amazing! The tapa is seriously the best tapa I'd ever had! It's crunchy yet you can feel the taste melting in your mouth, and leaving you to devour more. The steak! Seriously, this might be the cheapest stake I'd ever had! Usually steaks ranges at what? 400 to at least 1k plus. But this, it's a student budget friendly yet very tasteful! And finally, a mac and cheese that makes sense!!!! Usually when you order nowadays a mac & cheese it's made out of the macaroons with the sauce of the spaghett, so if you want to try the real deal of mac & cheese, this is the place for IT!
Me and my Fiance had our lunch here awhile ago. I must say that their steaks are so affordable and are so good!! We ordered the Duke steak, the honey mustard Annie steak, and their nachos and fries! We weren't disappointed coz it was really good! If you're on a budget and you're craving for steaks, this is the perfect place to go to!!! Will definitely come back😊
We ordered the seafood chowder, and it was good, althought it would've been great if its creamy. The carbonara was good as well - generous toppings & not dry. Their pesto pasta is something that I've never tried before, it has like a weird texture when you eat it. Weird, but the good weird. Their iced tea is refreshing as well, definitely worth to go bottomless. Overall experience ia great :)
Bang for the buck oriental salad (P190) good for 2 and cowgirl steak meal (P164). Anytime the steak is as big as my hand, it's a steal. Definitely returning here for steak cravings!
Excellent delicious affordable stakes :] make sure to get unli rice and drinks :D totally worth it. And although other people like the mash potatoes, i don't care for it. The staff is mostly friendly. Not all of them though. A nice place to stay and tambay. If only their chairs were better.

We saw Brickfire while trying to find another place because Barkin' Blends was still close until noon. So we decided to give it a try.
Food:
Bully Rice 5/5
When I saw the picture, it really looks delicious that's why I tried it. But it isn't the same as the picture when served but the taste is perfect!!! The meat isn't just any other ordinary one. It has cheese inside that really goes well with their gravy! I really recommend this one! They also serve Bully Burger alone but I wanted to eat something with veggies so I tried the rice meal. And what's good about it is, it's only 85 pesos (for both bully burger and rice each)! And you'll add 45 pesos if you want fries and others. Their carrots and corn also taste good! 👍🏻
Chicken Barbeque 4/5
My friends ordered chicken barbeque. Although I didn't know how it tasted, they told me it's good and the chicken was not small compared to other restaurants which serve small chicken and charge a price for two plates! This one costs Php130.
If you're looking for an affordable place with great food, you should try Brickfire :)
After bombing out on a steak lunch from a different resto yesterday, this was definitely a delight. I had the medium well original Annie steak and had a share of the crab mango salad. Delicioso!!! The place was cozy and not loud. I love the brick-tiled tables. Best of all, it's value for money. Looking forward to another bite.
Had dinner with friends last night and we all wanted to try this place. I've heard this several times from my friends and now its time for me to experience. We had a Mango Crab salad first and it was very good. I love the sweetness of the mango and the dressing that perfectly blended with all the ingredients. I ordered cowgirl annie original.it was very juicy on the inside, i dont even need the steak knife and it is very tasteful to the palate. The gravy that comes with it added more flavor to the dish(i bet its better than the other gravy i've tasted before).they also have other flavors for this cowgirl annie (honey mustard and wasabi) but i wanted to try the original@ first. My friend ordered los indios adobo and the presentation was instagram worthy. If you'll ask me if i would recommend this place.....definitely yes!!kudos brickfire katipunan.
Nice place. Budget friendly steakhouse. Cowgirl Annie is delicious, especially with unli rice and bottomless iced tea. Also, try the mash potato.
This is a great place if you want tasty stakes when you're on a budget. The cowgirl Annie is a good choice, but if you can splurge a little, try the duke, it's much better

First and foremost, Brickfire is a budget-friendly steakhouse. Its flagship dishes are The Duke and the Cowgirl Annie, which are generous cuts of tender local beef classically seasoned with salt and pepper. That is where Brickfire stops being your typical budget steakhouse and becomes so much more.
One of the biggest differences with Brickfire is how the beef is cooked. Instead of the steaks being grilled, they are baked in a Brickfire oven, keeping the steaks tender and sealing in the flavorful juices, which is key to that irresistible beefy taste often found lacking in thinly cut, grilled steaks.
Brickfire doesn’t just stop differentiating itself there. It takes further steps into the diverse art of preparing steaks by offering two additional playful flavors: Honey Mustard and Wasabi. The Honey Mustard steaks are made with the famous Filipino sweet tooth in mind and are a nice alternative to the traditional salt and pepper flavor.
If you're looking for a delicious but affordable steak fix then Brickfire is your place!
The quality and quantity of the meals that they serve is remarkable. I personally recommend their Cowgirl Annie (P165) medium rare and their Baked Fish (P250)
Worth the try and trip!
So we tried cowgirl annie original. It's like the best option for a starter. The waiting time is quite long, but it is totally worth the wait. I fell in love at first bite of their juicy steak. The flavor is being emphasized at every chew. And it is so tender you won't have a hard time slicing it. The gravy is so flavorful as well. And with the unlimited rice, you can surely fill your tummy more than enough.
When it comes to good tasting steak that will not sacrifice your wallet, for sure, Brick fire is on the list.
Though they have limited number of dishes on their menu, they also offer appetizers, desserts, and ofcourse their steak! Our favorite is their Cowgirl Annie! Huge, flavorful, and affordable! We also loved their salads here. The serving size was good enough for 2-3 persons! :)

Great steak for an affordable price. No questions asked. What needed some work though was their Cheesy Nachos and Fries. As you dig deeper into the basket, you'd realize there isn't enough toppings. I suggest that they divide the toppings into two. This way you'd still have toppings enough for the whole basket. Unless they are willing to add more. :)
If you're looking for a place to get some steak but you're in low budget, go to Brickfire! Aside from being cheap, the food their serve is amazing and extremely filling. It definitely fits a student's budget!
They offer the best Angus Beef! I will surely recommend this resto to my friends and family. The prices are very cheap but the food is oh so good!
I enjoyed eating here. Value for money- thumbs up! The Duke (tenderloin steak) was tender and juicy. Ordered it
Medium and got exactly that. The mashed potato siding was really tasty. Tried the
Mango salad and enjoyed it too. Very affordable food choices esp when tight on the budget. Must try!
This is a good place to go post-workout because the Cowgirl Annie is so satisfying and really gives you a good bang for your buck. The meat isn't too tough and the sauce and juices are divine; just eat them before the cold makes them a little greasy. The place is nice as well, although it's almost always crowded when I eat there. The adobo flakes are good as well. This is a good place for a relatively cheap protein fix.
We were caught by the "Oven roasted steaks and chops" slogan. Haha. The price for the steak meal is reasonable. The honey mustard steak was amazing. I ordered a medium-rare beef salpicao and its great. The only complaint I have is the serving of rice. It was so small. You need to opt for the unli rice, but then again the servers were so slow in serving it. Some of it are undercooked too. :(
So coming back! Wondering why the tapa tasted way better than the steak? But of course, I loved my stay here. I might've ordered just the wrong dish but I will definitely try the others.
Brickfire offers affordable steaks for those on a budget, and the restaurant's brick interiors give a somewhat homey atmosphere. The steaks are good enough given the budget-friendly price, but there's always room for improvement. Must tries include Cowgirl Annie and Seafood Chowder.
BF is surely the cradle for Best Tasting Steaks. BF's sauce incredibly compliments the meat of your choice. Moreover, the ambiance of BF takes you back to modern times. BF's is a must-try restau if your looking for steaks.
My friend and I went for dinner at Brickfire, Katipunan area to try their much-talked-about steaks.
I ordered The Duke while my friend has Cowgirl Annie, 350grams. I loved how tender my meat is, moreover, I was impressed by their mashed potatoes. The meats are done medium well, though I should have got mine medium rare.
The prices are quite reasonable for the quality and the staff was very accommodating. I wouldn't mind going back to try their other dishes.
WARNING: Without considering that the food they served me which is a pasta that I forgot what it's called has a DEAD MOSQUITO in it I would say their food specially the rice and steak taste good and worth your money. It's affordable and serving size is pretty good. (I know I said its good though I saw mosquito in it, I just had to mention it so that people could check their food in any restaurant they eat and I think mosquito on my food is just an accident)
On a Friday night, my friend and I ate out and tried Brickfire in Katipunan. I’ve known Brickfire for a long time since I’ve seen their other branch in Taytay, Rizal. Brickfire specializes oven roasted steaks and chops that comes with an affordable price.
Brickfire Katipunan branch was a bit small. Tables were so near each other that when the restaurant was full, you can hear the conversation of the people beside you. I can attest to this as when we dined here, I could hear the conversation and loud laughter of the students from Ateneo on our right side.My friend and I had to shout just to hear what each other was saying -_- I hope they can do something about this.
On to our food, we had Rodeo Wings (Php75 for 3 pieces) for our starters. Their wings were crispy, topped with sesame seeds and parsley and bathed with like a BBQ sauce. It tasted sweet and salty. However, if I’ll eat this on my own, I think I’ll be magsasawa.
My friend ordered Creamy Carbonara (Php130) which he loved (and me too!). True to the dish’s name, it was really creamy and comforting. The noodles were cooked al dente and the sauce was so creamy and tasted so right, topped with parmesan cheese and parsley. It had a hint of basil or oregano which was a plus as it made the dish not nakakaumay. The sliced ham blended well too, since it gave a hint of sweet and salty taste to balance out the creaminess of the white sauce. Honestly, I am not a fan of carbonara but when I tasted Brickfire’s version of carbonara, they made me a fan.
We had Kansas Ribs (Php130). This dish calls for a lot of rice, not just because of its taste but also because of their BIG servings. I got to taste this dish and for me, this was not my type since it was bathed with a powerful sweet sauce. One bite was enough for me to say nakakaumay ‘to.
For me, I ordered their famous Cowgirl Annie (Php139 for 200g). Can you believe it? For only Php139 bucks, you can have this BIG serving of steak! The meat itself was so tasty that it didn’t need the gravy. The meat had a peppery, grilled taste which my choosy taste buds enjoyed and devoured. It was also a PLUS that the steak was tender and easy to chew. Though, when you add gravy, it improved the meaty taste of the steak and brought it to another yummy level of taste.
And to cleanse our palate, we had Choco Nutty Cheesecake (Php99). It was creamy and had the right level of sweetness. The almond nuts gave it a kick of crunch while we were munching it.
All in all, I enjoyed their Cowgirl Annie, Carbonara and cheesecake. I will definitely come back to taste more of their food. I just hope it won’t be crowded anymore.
