We found a new food treasure in sct area. The place is so comft'ble. The service is very commendable. Price is reasonable and the food is definitely lovable. Angus beef belly is aldente
great food.. good service.. value for money.. ate here 5x already despite bago palang.. hehe
Good food and good place. Friendly staffs. Definitely will go back!
I can't resist of coming back again. I love their lamb! It was the best one
5 stars for it!
I will definitely comeback to taste the other foods in the menu.
The best salted egg shrimp! Heaven. Babalik ako sure, kasama ang friends and family. ;)

Kudos, kuya CT and team! Great and cool service!
Tried this restaurant upon the recommendation of my friend. Food taste is good, a little salty, but the meat (both beef and lamb) were tender, seasoned well, and cooked right. I specifically liked their salpicao and lamb steak. The pumpkin soup was ok, the side bread was nice. The shrimp chorizo pasta was nice according to my friend, the spices was a bit strong for my mom though.
Overall, food is good. Service is just ok, server was not really friendly. I guess he was having a bad day (we were the only ones dining). Hope their service improves.
There is ample parking spaces, ambiance is nice (industrial look). They run Netflix on their TV! 😊
Would definitely go back for food. 😋

Issue: Can get quite uncomfy during lunch time and specially after lunch (if you’re hanging out to study or do some work due to weak AC. They’re probably saving power. I understand business and if you think odd hours is not profitable, just take a break and re-open by 5pm.
Verdict: Will definitely go back 👍
Fat Russel's is a cool resto in Tomas Morato. I had the hot Peach Tea, which seems to be made from a syrup. It's a little sweet and quite good. Shrimp & Mango Salad was excellent with a zest ly vinaigrette dressing.
Grilled Tuna Belly was excellent with soy sauce and a side salad. I liked the strips of veggies with the tuna belly which was cooked just right.
Salted Egg Chicken Fillet is ok.
This place was recommended by a friend and since it was close to home, I decided to give it a try. They have ample parking spaces available. Place itself was spacious and has a nice vibe to it. Overall, it looks clean but I saw a big cockroach while eating.
When I asked the staff about our food, seems like he's not that knowledgeable on the dishes they serve. He also wasn't too helpful nor friendly and just said "I don't know" to me. The bill took like forever to get even after asking several times.
What we ordered:
Garlic parma wings - good serving amount. wings was crispy and cooked well. For garlic parma, I think it was a bit too dry that's why the parmesan just keeps falling off and not sticking to the wings. The garlic mayo that came with it was super good!
Salpicao - the dish was super oily but meat was tender and well seasoned.
Lengua - ox tongue was soft but the dish itself was not creamy and it was too salty.
Went here last for my dad and brother's bday. We've been here before but such a long time since last so I figured it was worth trying again. We enjoyed their food... My dad lied his tuna belly, my nephew liked his steak... My husband enjoyed his black ink pasta... We all enjoyed the salted egg chix skin 😁 I just hope next time person who answers the phone be more professional when taking reservations. He did not introduce himself and I was the one who asked if it was fat Russell's I'm talking to... All in all the dining experience was remarkable. And the price is just right 👍👌
Had dinner here first before heading to a friend’s party. I like their interiors, very artsy and the place is well-lighted. The outside dining looks romantic too.
When I arrived, I was immediately assisted by a staff and was directed to my table. He informed me that there are outlets available as well as wifi.
While waiting for my boyfriend, I pre-ordered already. I ordered lengua for myself and hickory pork steak for him. The orders took a bit long, he even arrived first before the food. Good thing, servig size is very generous! My boyfriend even ordered an extra rice (or maybe because he naturally has a big appetite haha!) Aside from that, the food actually tasted really good! Price is fair enough, and affordable in fact, considering the size and quality of their dishes.
There were only 2 staff catering to the customers that time. Maybe that’s why the service was a bit slow. But they were very accomodating.
Ambiance is great. Staff are friendly and efficient. They even recommend dishes and could mix drinks for you. Bacon egg pizza and truffle pasta are must-trys.
They offer a good portion for the price of their items. I think their Truffle Pasta is too salty. Their Seafood Black Pasta has a strong aftertaste, the squid flavor is a bit overkill. The pizza is okay, nothing special about it. What saved the rating of this restaurant for me is their Crispy Baby Squid!!!! It's calamares but so much better!!!! It's really soft and tasty. I would go back to this restaurant for the Crispy Baby Squid and maybe give another shot to try out their other items.
Superb dinner with the family!
Food 5/5 especially the Tbone and the angus beef belly
(very yummy and soft 😋)
Serving 5/5
Price 5/5

Service 5/5
only issue in this place : no guards and little parking space
we will definitely back to try other food on the menu

yung pagod ka galing work tapos dito nyo naisipan kumain ni Mahal ❤️ super sulit, worth it lahat! 😍 Thumbs Up 👍 We'll surely comeback. Thank you Fat Russel's Kitchen.
love,
#eatsZellelicious 🙋
Been planning to visit Fat Russel for weeks now and VOILA! Chibogera’s here! 🤗
I Super love the homey ambiance outside their resto but what surprise me is their cute Industrial-modern interior inside, very instagrammable!
And their food? Honestly, everything that I ordered are very yummy! But what stands-out is the Seafood Black Pasta and the three cheese pizza. 😋 until now I kept thinking about it 😩and I badly want to go back again asap.
Don’t worry about the affordability cause they are budget friendly.
Visited Fat Russel's Kitchen 4-5 times I guess. Their Salted Egg Chicken is delicious. I also ordered their Roast Beef, but the last time I dined (which was yesterday) their Roast Beef was dry and not as juicy and tender as before.
4.5⭐
I love the cool vibe of the place, airconditioning could be improved (or maybe since it was raining they turned airconditioning temp a little high). Bathroom was clean (got a thing for restaurant bathrooms).
We had the Fat pizza, garlic parmesan wings, seafood black pasta and house blend iced tea. Food did not disappoint and given the quality of the food, we were surprised with the price! Very sulit indeed 👍
The down side though was the lack of dessert choices. Would love to go back and end my meal with something sweet, which am sure would be as yummy as their appetizers and entrees!
Dined here twice already and the real show stopper were the lengua and the three cheese pizza! The lengua was cooked perfectly with the right bite and succulent meat. You should certainly order this dish. The three cheese pizza is especially yummy when eaten while hot, oozing with cheesy goodness. We also ordered nachos, angus beef platter and truffle pasta but these dishes were just ordinary, passable to be exact.
The portions of the food are just right. Taste is thumbs up. Place is cozy. We ordered angus belly for sharing, shrimp salted egg pasta, shrimp mango salad with vinaigrette dressing, chicken skinand grilled liempo.
I only rated it 4/5 because of the lack of placemats and bad service. The waiter counted the money in front of us (kahit na sabi namin wag kasi the price should be a secret) at sa clumsiness niya nahulog niya pa yung money. Also, when we were giving our orders for our dessert he was out of focus.
The food was good and so was the place pero need talaga yung placemat kasi hirap kaya kumain na gumagalaw yung plate mo.
The place was beautifully lit, service was excellent and the food was superb 👍 My new favourite!!! I especially love their nachos, cheese pizza and salted egg pasta. Cant wait to be back!!!!
I'm glad FRK is just walking distance from my work. This place looks vibrant, and the ambiance is great for regular dates, or just hanging out with friends. Wifi is also available.
I ordered their Truffle Pasta, Buffalo Wings, Baked Oysters, and a bottle of Stella Artois. The pasta taste good and interesting, although the sauce is a little salty for me, I think it needs more pasta on it. The Buffalo Wings taste good too, there wasn't this kinda sour taste that you'll get from other BWs. Their Baked Oysters were just okay.
Their Food Attendants were very efficient. Once you get inside, they will assist you immediately to your seat. They will give you honest opinions of which one on the menu to try. I was actually stunned cause when I ordered their Beef Tendon, my Attendant instantly told me "hindi po siya masarap, parang pares lang", and I was like okay what's your suggestion. That's just how honest he is.
Overall, I love the ambiance, not a fine dining place, but a great place to catch-up with old time friends. The Service was excellent. The food is affordable and taste above average.
I would highly recommend the sisig pasta if you are into spicy foods. We used the voucher I got from Metrodeal to try out this interesting resto. I waa disappointed with the angus beef belly that the waiter recommended. The beef was a bit dry and too pricey for the serving.
I have been wanting to dine here since September or October of this year but it was only this November that I was able to finally visit this resto.
It has limited tables so better make a reservation prior to going here.
The place is homey and we think that similar to other restos in the area, it used to be a house which was made into a restaurant. We didn’t have time to ask any of the servers about it.
Everything was so good and I particularly love the Salted Egg Chicken Skin and Salted Egg Shrimp Pasta. The dishes are good for sharing and priced reasonably.
The servers, particularly CT, were attentive. He made recommendations on the best sellers which we appreciated.
The only thing that put me off was one of the servers who scratched our car while parking it. It was small so I just let it go. Not sure if he just wanted to get behind the wheel because he wasn’t giving clear instructions on where to park. I hope next time, he wouldn’t interfere and just give clear instructions on where to park.
I would definitely go back to try the other dishes.
The restaurant would have been great, but there are a lot of reasons why I would think thrice before recommending this place.
We ordered the baby squid and salted egg chicken skin for appetizer. The baby squid is 5 star, it’s perfectly cooked and really good, we ended up having 4 orders. The taste of salted egg chicken skin is good, but a bit too soggy.
For main course, we ordered the t-bone steak medium rare, salted egg shrimp, tempura and buffalo wings. We were halfway through our meal and was wondering what happened to our medium rare steak, if it ended up well done already. We asked our server and followed up, however, they just told us it ran out of stock. It would have been okay if they informed us ahead of time. The reason they did not, was because all the food orders came in at the same time. Meaning, if we had not followed up, I would have no food until the end of the meal.
The tempura was just okay, nothing special. Salted egg shrimp tasted good, nothing out of the ordinary. Food came out a bit cold already, except for the appetizers.
Rating out of 5 stars
Value for money - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars
Service - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars for friendliness of staff but 2.5 stars for lack of attentiveness (only 3 servers for a packed restaurant)
Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Parking 👍🏻👍🏻
the FOOD is AWESOME!
i have celebrated my birthday here yesterday.
Pizza and pasta is so cheesy and we love the baby squid #Yum
as for the place it feels so warm, not too crowded and noisy. Great place for hanging out with friends. they serve beer! 👍👍👍
It's a well-lit cheery restaurant with a youthful vibe. Even their washroom is clean and well-maintained. Their Angus Beef Belly and Cheesy Scallops were fantastic. Their truffle cream pasta was a bit salty and their raspberry iced tea a tad too sweet but all in all it was a very refreshing experience for us. My daughter loved their creamy cheese cake (more moussy than cheesy but she liked it).
Ambiance of the place is quite nice and the staff is very friendly too. We ordered crispy baby shrimp, well done grilled lamb steak and blueberry cheesecake. All the dishes were delicious with special mention to the cheesecake which was heavenly. Cucumber lemonade, peach fizz and strawberry freeze were pretty good too. The negative points being all the dishes and drinks were a bit high on the salt/ sugar content and the lamb steak wasn’t tender and juicy.. it was kinda chewy.
Finally, I am definitely coming back again to try more options!
This place is just a stone's throw away from where I live, and its exteriors have always beckoned for me to drop by. And so I finally gave in. I chanced upon another online discount coupon, so we decided to have our early "keto dinner" here. We had their Shrimp Mango Salad, Angus Beef Belly, and Salmon Steak. The highlight of the whole meal was definitely the Angus Beef Belly. The meat was tender and even the fat was delicious (I usually hate fat, but this dish was an exception!). Service was quick and the servers were friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up for this restaurant! Will be back soon to sample their Kani Salad, Filet Mignon, and Laing Stuffed Chicken Cordon Bleu (Sounds interesting!).
The whole place gives a home-y feel. Food is great. Competitively priced. Generous servings. Ordered salted-egg chicken skin, which was really rich on the salted egg dressing. Grilled chicken salad with sesame sauce likewise was great. Seafood Curry had that spicy taste you really look for in curry. Topped it off with baked oysters.
Great place! Awesome food! The kids loved the chicken schitake and the 3-cheese pizza! The steak was also great! Will definitely be back to try the other choices!
the place was nice .. :)
the food are yummy and affordable
the staff are accomodating.. they happily honored our 500 php off from booky.. thank you .will definitely come back
Their pasta was good. The pesto and the sisig pasta. My friend introduce this place to me. I will surely go back with other friends. Kudos!!!!!!!!!
Great food and great service! Plus chill vibes. Not that crowded too ☺️ ordered t bone steak 3 cheese pizza mushroom soup baked scallops and buttered chicken
Went here for dinner with my family. We ordered their nachos, crispy baby squid, salted egg chicken fillet, honey mustard liempo, thai seafood curry and their truffles pasta. We liked all that we ordered but I can say that our faves are the salted egg chicken fillet and their nachos. Only drawback is that they don't accept credit card yet. But we will definitely be back to try their other food choices.
When all you've got to say is "Ang sarap!" on every bite... Been here so many times. The ambiance is very relaxing, far from the busy streets. And the foods are very yummy!
Love the food and great service. Will definitely come back and bring mu friends here 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 also, location is so easy to find 👏🏻👏🏻
Had dinner here with my wife. Service was prompt and courteous; they refill your glass without prompting and do table touch to ensure guests are satisfied with their food.
We had the crispy baby shrimp for our appetizer; serving was generous and the tasted was very good. Had the right crunch and saltiness. For mains we had the salted egg pasta with shrimp (lots of shrimp, serving was good for 1 healthy eater), grilled tanigue with lemon butter sauce (sauce was really good, paired well with the fish), and baked oysters (1 piece was off-tasting which we mentioned to our server). Ended the meal with blueberry cheesecake, yummy but graham crust goog use more butter so it holds better together.
All in all a good place to have a meal, ambiance is industrial feel, food is value for money, and service good. Will come back.
THE LOOK
I’ve been around the Timog / Tomas Morato area for quite a while now and I haven’t seen an industrial look restaurant until Fat Russel’s. Big glass walls, warm LED lights, smoothly cemented walls, and open ceiling are just inviting. It looks like a well-lit house on the outside.
THE MENU
For a restaurant that is quite new and cuisine not clearly defined, it’s quite odd that they don’t feature their signature dishes through photos. Instead they show you a list and will leave everything to your imagination.
THE FOOD
This is where they Fat Russel’s will surprise you. Food is neatly arranged and serving are generously Instagram worthy. My favorite are their Laing-Stuffed Cordon Bleu served with a cup of rice and veggies and Salted Egg Chicken Fillet for sharing. Their pizza though aren’t the best out there, it’s just not crisp in the middle but toppings are good. Their sisig alone is not that great either, but it’s surprisingly good on Pasta (Sisig Pasta) and Pizza (Sisig Pizza).
THEPRICE
For the ambiance and generous serving, it’s priced just right.
MY RECOMMENDATION
Laing-Stuffed Cordon Bleu, Salted Egg Chicken Fillet / Skin, Sisig Pizza, Truffle Pasta, Bulalo Steak, Angus Beef Belly, Cucumber Lemonade.
We were going around the scout area in quezon city looking for a place to chill when we came across Fat Russel's.
We just ordered nachos and crispy baby squid. As usual, I requested the nachos to be sans onions. It was served with a creamy cheese sauce/dip. Toppings-nachos ratio was great. Tastes really good. Simple but tasty.
On the crispy baby squid, serving was good and the baby squid were indeed crispy and just enough saltiness. Paired with their vinegar.. will order this again.
For dessert, we ordered their Oreo cheesecake. We also ordered vanilla sundae with chocolate but too bad they ran out of vanilla ice cream. Their Oreo cheesecake was served in a jar. Personally, I am not a fan of whipped cream but was pleasantly surprised that their whipped cream has a sweet vanilla extract taste. Love love love their Oreo Cheesecake!
We will definitely come back to taste more of their offerings. So far all we have ordered satisfied us. Great job on the ambience, taste and price.
I frequently passed by in Scout Reyes, and saw this restau. It caught my attention because of its interior and, one time me and my college girl bestfriend decided to have our late lunch and catch up here. It has a cozy ambiance and vibe. We loved everything we ordered. My friend enjoyed the baby squid and the pasta. I liked the salted chicken and the pasta, as well. This place is well recommended. Really a good place to have your little chit chat with some delish food. 👌🏼❤
My friends and I visited the place after some of them tried it out already and gave good feedbacks especially with the Angus beef belly. We did not try the dish anymore but I look forward to tasting it on my own some other time.
We ordered Laing stuffed cordon bleu, seafood marinara, chix shitake pesto cream and bacon pesto egg pizza. We also ordered honeydew shake, cucumber lemonade and strawberry freeze [I liked the strawberry freeze best but it is just my personal preference]
I was not a fan of the pizza because it was too creamy and cheesy for my taste. [side note: our choices of food that day may have contributed to the "too much creaminess/cheesiness" though]
However, I really liked the seafood marinara.
I especially loved the laing stuffed cordon bleu. The only thing I did not like about that dish was the amount of rice with it, you would definitely need another serving. Still, I think that one is definitely a must try!
Overall, we enjoyed our time there and the staff was also very nice and accomodating.
Really love going to this place for comfort food during "cheat days". It's a small place in a quiet neighborhood but the food here will really keep you coming back for more. The salted egg chicken fillet, salted egg pasta, and angus beef are tops! Price is also very cheap! Ate here at least 6 times last month. Will definitely go back! :)
This wonderful neighborhood restaurant is truly a comfort place! The ambiance is cozy & laid back, ideal for both small and big groups. I enjoyed looking through the details of the witty remarks written on the walls as I waited for my food. The food is also a delight. My personal favorites are the black pasta, salted egg shrimps, sisig pizza and truffle fries. Since the price range is very affordable, we have reserved the whole place a couple of times for private parties and it was great! My guests enjoyed the food and the service was efficient. It's also an advantage that they have some parking spaces - not too many but better than most in the area.,
I have been to this restaurant a few times already and they have been consistently serving us one of the best comfort foods. My favorites are their truffle fries, angus beef belly, and Honey mustard liempo. The ambiance is just perfect for friends to hang out.
I liked their black squid pasts its one of a kind. I surely like to visited this resto again. I also liked the ambiance of there resto, typicsl for people to chill and relax 😊😉👍
Forgot to take a picture of the food we ordered hihi sorry
Was supposed to eat at Blue Rocket but sadly they were closed because of the road construction. Luckily we saw this charming gem with all the nice lights and homey interiors ~
We got the salted egg chicken (their best seller according to the waiter that bet us he would resign if we didnt like it haha) also their salted bacon pesto egg pizza and their porkchops.
Serving was okay! Enough for a foodie like me. I dont know with the other entree's though cos the waiter gave tips which one had big servings and those that didnt. My bet was the pizza but my partner's bet was the chicken. Worth the try! Ask the waiter for garlic mayo, it suits the pizza and chicken :)
