The best branch! Impeccable service and the staff are so courteous. The food is consistently delicious.

Ang sarap ng food at super bait ng mga staff. Shout out kay Kuya JP and Jomar na very accomodating. Thank you po, all the love
The owner is awesome and the food is great.
awesome food, awesome service! Keep it up and more power!
This is my favorite place to go to when I’m craving Korean bbq. Their quality of service is consistent from start to finish. I love their presentation of their side dishes. I hope they add more marinated meat. Also, I love their iced tea and cheese!
I like this branch the best because they designated chairs for the waiting area. The meat are also good quality. Since it's a bit hidden, the waiting time was also manageable.
Best Kbbq place that i've been to so far. Staff were accommodating and polite. For me, the side dishes and the wide selection of meat were the highlight of my dining experience here.
Our fave samgyupsalamat branch so far because it's near from our office. The service is a thumbs up. The queue is fast since it is spacious. We usually wait up to 30 mins.
Waited in line for around 15 minutes despite arriving late (around 9pm) because this branch is small compared to the other new ones. There is minimal waiting time for orders and the servers were all attentive to our requests, though some side dishes were not available and iced tea wasn’t served immediately. The cuts and sizes of meat and the flavors were consistent. All in all a good experience and would go back to this branch.
Aside from the well-known value for money food that Samgyup is known for, of the two branches in Katip, this one has the shorter line and wait time.
Regis branch is a bit cooler though.
We frequent this place for our Korean barbecue cravings. So far, this brand and branch delivers well. They serve huge portions of meat and sidings. They refill your plates fast enough too. Sulit! Just be prepared for the long que to get a table. Make sure to be there before or after lunch/dinner time so you won’t wait that long (like 1-2 hrs).

We had our first samgyeopsal experience here. I was surprised because the location was inside an alleyway. There was a party happening at that time in the bar in front and lots of drunk college people where going in and out of that establishment. I was worried that it might be to noisy but when we were inside samgyupsalamat, it was not the case. The noise was tolerable. My naive self was not prepared for a long wait and my stomach was really hurting when we came in. It was almost close to midnight and I was kinda skeptic if we had enough time. Fortunately, they stay open till 2 am so we made sure not to rush. There was a variety of options for the flavors of meat and types of side dishes. The delicious food compensated for my hunger, I came in quite grumpy and came out full and satisfied. 😊
I was a bit apprehensive to visit this resto because I'm wary that it's all hype but I am extremely 'thankful' (LOL) to have been proven wrong. Samgyupsalamat is LEGIT GOOD.
We went there at 5 pm on a Friday and the place was already packed with families and students from nearby schools. Place was quite small and the waiting area in the corner isn't particularly appealing (we sat near a big trash can, boo). We had to wait for a little over an hour for our names to called but man, it was so worth it.
Everything, from the meat to the side dishes (the steamed egg is a must-try!), is fresh and well-seasoned. Some of the marinated meat, though, might be a bit too sweet for some so read the descriptions carefully before choosing.
Minor suggestion: Staff are accommodating but please tell them to smile more!
This branch of samgyupsalamat had very good and speedy service. Their meat tasted very fresh and the cooking equipment were in very good condition. I had a very good dining experience at this restaurant.
Pork and beef are seasoned well and it tastes great. Steamed egg is also delicious. I think you should lower the price of your soju because they sell it at 200 pesos but you can buy one at 98-110 pesos on market.
Samgyupsalamat is among the best Korean BBQ places I've tried in Manila. They offer eat all you can promos for P449 (pork only) and P499 (pork and beef) from 3 PM to 2 AM. Samgyupsalamat offers unlimited meat, side dishes and drinks. They also offer choices on the flavor of the meat - sweet and spicy, pepper, sweet, etc. You do not have to worry about eating quickly since there is no time limit. Definitely a must try!
Note: Go here early if you want to be seated right away. Their branches typically have long lines especially for dinner.

Well, this one is new in Katipunan but one of the best-price for Samgyeopsal. It's unlimited with 459 or 499 pesos! I love this place. Highly recommended. It's too bad that they only played EXO, BTS and Bigbang... more of kpop MVs, please!
I absolutely recommend the place. It’s worth your budget 👌
There’s much a selection of unlimited pork and beef.
One of the best I’ve tried is the sweet potato and their soup 🤘
Nevermind the wait time, it's worth it.
Just don't come over really famished, otherwise you'll just be hAngry...
Very straightforward, once they say table is ready.. table is really ready.. all the side dishes, condiments, water and iced tea... plus the utensils.
Staff are efficient and polite.
This may be simple, but was surprised by 1 of their staff.. that everytime we say 'salamat' or 'thank you' he says 'you're welcome' :)
And of course... they serve quality meat and side dishes!
We love the beef samgyup, bulgogi and the pork moksal..
What I loved about this samgyupsal restaurant is they have different kinds of meat marinations. For the pork they have 5: Samgyupsal, Buljib Samgyupsal (w/ salt and pepper), Yangnyum Daepae, Gochujang Samgyupsal, and Yangmyum Moksal (neck bone in marinate) and the for the beef they have 4: Beef Samgyupsal, Bulgogi, Yangnyum, and Gochujang marinated beef.
Though the price for one (Pork Unli ₱399; Pork & Beef Unli ₱499) is steep you'll get the worth of your money.
Rice, soup, sauce, banchans (side dishes), egg and sangchu (green lef veggie) are also unli! 😲
You should try this place!
Expect waiting time to be a minimum of an hour and a half since they can only accomodate around 10 tables at a time :/

Went here with my family and I'm so glad they enjoyed it! Waited for an hour & a half to get inside because we came at exactly 11 am. (it opens @ 10am) I like that they will notify u when u are next in queue thru text. U just have to give them ur contact number (for those who have other engagements while waiting) this branch is a lot smaller than Samgyupsalamat Tomas Morato but that's not really a problem for me. The waiters are very accomodating and polite. We even requested a song from blackpink & they played it for us! 😂💖 LOL just be sure to take extra patience with u when u come here because it is worth the looooong wait!
Long wait time..
We arrived there at 9pm.. we're the 9th customer in queue.. & we got in @ 10pm.. pero worth the wait.. sobrang sulit bukod sa unli grill, unli din ang side dish.. & there's no time limit..
I appreciate the super quick service in this branch especially after having eaten at their other branch in regis center. Servers are super attentive and i think that could be this branch's unique selling proposition hehe
Taking out 0.5 from the score as the waiting area is not very enticing especially for a food establishment.
The meat itself is okay, quite good with sauce. But what you go here for is unlimited meat and a grill on the table. Service is great, too. If you make sure to eat at least 2-3 plates of meat per person then that will make the price worth it, in addition to the unlimited side dishes. Make sure you avoid 5-6 PM because the wait will be long, up to 2-2.5 hours. Better to come on 11 AM or 1-3 PM and on an empty stomach.
First off if your coming here especially on a weekend expect quite a wait. What I have noticed is that there are a lot of people signing up and leaving and even though we were eight we were seated in less than 20 mins. I have been to 3 of their branches and each branch has a banchan that are either unique or tastes better in that branch for this one the Scallion Kimchi is a can't miss option. There were some items that were out as we went there Sat near closing time but over all the staff was very attentive and the food was good.
The restsurant can't be seen right away as it's at the left end of an alley. You will find said alley at the side of The Army Navy Club along Katipunan Road.
There is always a long line since there are but a few tables at the place. And if you come after 7 pm, you are most likely to wait at least 3 hours. This is the same wait time we endured when we last visited. The shop has chairs lined up right in front of it, and customers just register with the guard then sit 'till the listed name is called.
But, as many would say, it is worth the wait. The food is quite satisfying to the palate. There are two meal plans to select from: the All Pork at P399, and the All Meat (Pork & Beef) for P499.. and you can enjoy it with at least four side dishes and sauces 'till your tummy gives up.
Since it may take you a while grilling, you can ask the server to change the charcoal on the griller or you'll most likely get your meat tasting like ash. There are three sauces that aligns with the meal consisting of gochujang (diluted), light sauce sauce, and sesame oil. Readily, several side dishes will be served with your rice, soup, & first 3 choices of meat cuts. Yes.. there are more meat cuts, but you can only get three varieties at a time. Once your plate is consumed, you can go ahead and aak for another, or simply re-order the same one you're having if you find it to your taste. Though, you will not find concoctions like kim bop or kimchi bukumbop as it is all for grilling.
If you are a meat eater and a hearty eater at that, not to mention one with the liking for Korean blend, this place is one to go to.
Nice place and friendly staff 👍🏼 should have enough parking space, though
Now for the food, it really puts value to your buck! For 449/499, the variety of pork and beef cuts are sufficient👌🏻
Not a fan of Korean food but i enjoyed ‘samgyup’ in fairness ❤️ A rate of 4 because we waited for so looooong. Haha! More tables please! Hihi
It was our first time dining here. We decided to give it a try after a friend recommended it. We came really early and were second in line as this resto does not take reservations. It is first come, first served. And if you are dining alone, don't. Please bring someone because they have a minimum of 2 people in a party before they can let you in. Not sure if this remains true until now though.
We ordered the Unlimited 2 option which gives you unli pork and beef. However, we were not informed beforehand that the marinated meats were not available so we somehow felt a bit cheated. We should have settled for the cheaper option which only had unlimited pork. :(
The appetizers did not disappoint, and certainly the meat quality was good. Fresh and everything. We just wish we could've tried their bulgogi.
If you are a K-pop fan, you'd probably have fun as they are showing music videos and playing K-pop songs which adds to the ambiance (or distract you as you try to sing and dance or ogle the cute boys).
I'd like to go back to try their marinated meats.
Price is pretty decent for good quality and fresh ingredients.
ang haba lang po ng pila super hahahah we got there around 7pm then nakapasok at nakakakain kami ng mga 10pm LOL HAHAHAHAHA crazy right HAHHHAHAH and legit naman yung samgyupsal, sulit yung 499.00 hahahah pero yung pila lang talaga.
We visited for dinner around 6 pm. The alley we went through was quite long and the area near the entrance was a bit awkward to look at. Line was a bit short and waiting time was faster than we expected. We actually tried all of their meats except the spicy ones since I cannot handle spicy food. Banchan was delicious I loved the sweet potato and the radish. It was also a bit hard to flag down waiters to get the refills and extra dips.We specifically asked for the steam egg since they do not tell you that it's included in the unlimited banchan. There was a TV blaring Korean Music Videos and for us it was quite entertaining. Meat is definitely superb and I suggest that people come with a large group as they only refill when they see you've substantially eaten your last plate of meat. One person per order is an understatement portions are enough for two. The waiters also kept talking to the security guard which made it hard for us to get his attention. All in all meat was definitely sliced perfectly for easy cooking and you can see the meat slicer in the middle of the restaurant. I suggest getting a mix of spicy and sweet meats so you will not feel 'suya' or mix in the banchan to cleanse your palate. So if you ever crave your samgyup fix this place will surely satisfy your craving!
I'm a big fan of Korean foods and I was so happy with my Samgyupsalamat experience. The beef and pork marination was superb to my expectation. I'm coming back!!! 🤗🤗🤗

Been here last week and the taste of their Korean bbq is so lit. Loved it. Unlike sa iba na parang thin slices Lang, dito minarinate Nila kaya masarap. Also their side dishes I really liked it Nung pinalit Nila yung fish cake thumbs up ako dun.
Will always be my favorite samgyupsal store. They have different varieties of meat and for only P399 you can enjoy unli pork and for P499 you may savor the unli beef and pork. :). They have a lot of stores already located at Katipunan with 2 branch, Banawe, Manila, & Maginhawa.
The location is a bit awkward but has its own charm. The staff are nice and accommodating. Side dishes are also pretty okay. Be sure to maximize your time here. People usually line up here all day long so be prepared! Pro tip: you can ask for half plate meat only if you don't want to be charged for left overs! ;)
long queue! I suggest enlisting extra early during weekends. It would have been highly commendable of them if they'd extend their service to the waiting line in any way but nonetheless, good food: highly satisfying, recommending the beef!
I don't think they deserve to be poorly judged by how not-so-quick they attend to customer's needs when tables are all occupied. Come here on weekdays, I guess they wouldn't be so busy to wait the tables :)
Make sure you go early since there's always a line. Only 1 kind of pork was available the last time I went here. And the beef samgyupsal was very tough to chew. It was meat gum. It's still great value for the price though.
the food was great! it's so popular that we had to wait in line for a few hours. but the food was worth it. My friends and I would love to go back and eat here!
Honesty is the best policy. Thank you, Samgyupsalamat for being incredibly honest. Carelessly left my phone inside their cr and one of the staff told me to check all our belongings before leaving the establishment. ☺️ Thus the five stars. Keep it up, Samgyupsalamat Katipunan branch!
PS: I love everything in their selection. Try the yangnyum beef first! 😍
4 out of 5 for me cause the food was great (loved the fish cakes!), service was excellent, and the price was worth it. The place could use a little fixing up and a little expansion so lines wouldn’t take that long. 👌🏼

This branch is very spacious. I think they could've improved the set-up to cater more customers though. The line also got crazy when we ate here. Still a good branch though.

I remember the first time we attempted to try Samgyupsalamat at their Banawe branch. Josh got there earlier (around 5pm) to queue, and we were the 22nd on the line. At around 7:30pm, we were still the 20th. We gave up, and moved to another Korean grill place in Tomas Morato, as our tummies weren't patient enought to wait that long.
Two Saturdays ago, we tried our luck again, this time, at their Katipunan branch. Josh got there around 10am, and they were still closed. I arrived at 11am, and we went in. Finally! We were the 3rd to arrive that day, and I'm giddy that we're finally getting to try this sought after K-BBQ place. 😍
As soon as we were seated, the servers started by bringing in the charcoal, side dishes, and lettuce. We were asked whether we would be getting Unli 1 - Pork Only (Php 399), or Unli 2 - Pork and Beef (Php 449). [Note: Prices are more expensive by Php 50 3pm onwards] We opted for Unli 2. This consists of options among 5 different pork cuts / marinades, and 4 different beef cuts and marinades.
Being the purists that we were, we first tried the P1 - Daepae Samgyupsal (Sliced Fresh Pork Belly) and B2 - Beef Samgyupsal (Sliced American Beef Short Plate). I love how the fat to lean meat ratio was just right. The meat were all really fresh too! No off odor, whatsoever. I also LOVED their kimchi! I am a bit choosy wih my kimchi, since some has a spiciness level that's too chemical -- but Samgyupsalamat's version has the right balance of spiciness, sourness, and a hint of sweetness. It's the perfect side dish to cut through the oiliness of the grilled meats. 👌
We also tried the P3 - Yangnum Daepae and B3 - Yangnum Beef Samgyup, which are sliced pork and beef with seasoning sauce. We found the seasoning more apt for the pork, compared to the beef. After grilling though, the taste of the seasoning isn't that evident. 😢 For our last round of meats, we had the B1 - Beef Boolgogi (Korean Beef BBQ with Sweet Soy Sauce) and the P2 - Buljib Samgyupsal (Tenderized Pork Belly with Herb Pepper). Out of all the beef we ordered, the Boolgogi was the weakest dish for me. Unfortunately, the slight sweetness in its marinade did not work well. The Buljib was really good though! I liked it a lot. 😍
Other side dishes I enjoyed were the soup, potato, as well as the steamed egg. 😍 (I had two rounds of each! 🙈) The others such as the onions, and raddish -- were just so-so for me.
I also appreciate how courteous and fast the servers were. Requests are always promptly fulfilled. Kudos to their team! 👌 I also want to point out that unlike other restaurants where the meat quality declines as you request for additional orders, theirs maintained the excellent quality of the meat all throughout our lunch. Amazing! 😍✨
We had an awesome experience here at Samgyupsalamat. I'm excited to come back with my family next time! 💜 TIP: Visit during lunch / early lunch time (around 11AM) so you won't have to queue for a long time. 😉
#EatDrinkSplurge
I have been to other branches Samgyupsalamat but this branch is my favorite! At the queue, the guard makes sure that you get a chair while waiting. Unlike with the other branch where you just stand the whole time. This branch has also the freshESTTTT meat! Try their buljib and you will never get disappointed. Since this a busy place, you cannot expect the waiters to give you your request like a flash. But they make sure they have noted of your request and will get back to you the soonest. You just have to let them know what you want, and they will surely take care of it. You can also make special requests like if they can give you additional kimchi, sauce, etc. The place has a clean restroom inside it, which is another plus point. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The food was great and worth the price but they have to improve the place and add more tables. We arrived their at around 11:30am and we waited for almost 3 hours before we had a table, maybe because it is weekend but anyway they must do someting about the long waiting time as they do not accept table reservation prior your arrival so you have to be their before you can put your name on the wait list.
Well, I guess if you're starving this might not be the right place for you on a weekend. Luckily we endured the 3 hours waiting time.

Best branch of Samgyupsalamat I've been too so far. Fast and accomodating service. They cut the meat in the middle of the restaurant to show the customers of its freshness, which I appreciate a lot. Amazing quality of meat and tasty side dishes. Love their kimchi. Recommend you avail the buffet. Totally worth it 👍👍

The long wait is over!
Product: I have been eyeing Samgyupsalamat ever since I realized my love for Korean food and yes, the long anticipation was worth it. I was truly happy that I got to enjoy a good meal with people who appreciate Korean food as much as I did. If only I can go to SK and taste the real thing... anyway!! So, some of us went ahead and got a table for us at around 5:30PM. We had a plan knowing the place would be jam packed with people waiting for a table. One by one, our whole table was filled. Thank goodness they allow that.
You can order 2 plates of either pork or beef (depending on the buffet package you chose). Only when you finished cooking (take note, not consumed) the whole plate, will you be able to choose more from their other meat sets.
Both the pork and beef were delicious but I feel like adding beef to your options is a real level up. I do prefer their beef over their pork, especially when combined with the side dishes. I was really into their steamed egg and radish kimchi. You can order as much sides and rice as you want. Let me tell you, this is probably the only buffet the money I paid for was fully used. I just love Korean food so much.
Venue: Samgyupsalamat is located just a few walks away from Ateneo. People around the place know about it even if it is at the end of an "eskinita". At around 6:30 PM, there's already a line so if you don't wanna wait long get there early and reserve for your company at an earlier time and eat ahead! You can stay there for as long as your conscience can take making those hungry people outside wait for a table to be emptied.
The servers are very easy to call, they're very attentive and despite the crowd they actually remember your requests and give what you ask for right away. If the servers are full, the guard actually takes initiative in assisting the customers, so long as he can do it. I actually appreciated that. If the place was close to me, I'd be here all the time tbh. No wonder the place is popular.
One of the best dine in experienced! Tried Unli Pork and Beef with the family and I must say, from the marinated meat down to the side dishes, everything was yummy and fresh! Definitely will come back again! The staff/crew and the assign security guard are all pleasant and smilling.
Tried the pork only buffet. There was a lot of sides and we enjoyed almost all. We liked the kimchi and the onions and the EGG WAS SO YUMMY.
For the pork, we enjoyed P1, P2, and P5 the most.
I'm sure to come back with a hungrier stomach! 😛😛
Overall, it has been a good experience in terms of taste and set-up. I just have the following suggestions:
1. Better waiting area and queueing system (We had to wait for 2 hours)
2. When they say it's unli pork and beef, I hope all varieties are available (Only one kind of pork was left during our dinner)
3. Better parking (My friend parked in front of Samgyupsalamat's signage but a man asked for 50 pesos. I asked if we could give it once we're ready to leave but he said he already had to buy food. Good thing I got to haggle, thinking I needed to give him something so he won't do anything nasty.)
We went to Samgyupsalamat early because it was a payday Friday. When we arrived around 4:40, we immediately got seated. So that's a tip for everyone, come early as you can. Because as soon as 5 to 6 pm came, the area got packed... super packed with overflowing people outside waiting for a seat. Most of the customers coming in and out are students from the area.
What I like: The food that they serve are fresh. The meat are in good quality and the different choices (5 different kinds for beef and 5 more choices for pork) have distinct flavors. They also have noted that you can only order two meats at a time but don't worry because they serve it fast. The side dishes were good too. My favorites are the kimchi, radish, potatoes, and sweet potatoes. You can also have free refills of the sides including the rice and soup. I guess I need to say this because the table beside us were only made aware that the rice was refillable when they got the bill. I know they felt bad about that... I get what you feel, guys.
What I did not like that much: The limited parking in the area. Well, almost all establishments in Katip have the same concern. The barrel underneath our table seemed too hot so you have to be careful with your knees brushing against it. By the way, you need to dine with at least 1 friend here because they don't seem to be too welcoming to solo diners. Buffet is for a minimum of two and the ala carte orders of meat are pricey. What if my friends are on a diet? C'mon guys!
What I wish they would have: Bottomless soda (haha) and Korean pancake or tteobokki for side dish (I love these).
If you like Korean food other than the meats, you can enjoy ramyun and other dishes from their ala carte menu.
Samgyupsalamat for reading my review!
Me, my cousins and my friends decided to go here last Friday at dinner time. So we waited for our turn for more than an hour. Well, it's understandable since it's a Friday and we're there at dinner time.
After the long wait, we were seated already; we're 10. So we tried both the pork unli, there were 5 choices, and the beef and pork unli, there were 9 choices. The meat there is so tender and delicious. We first order the P1 and P5. We were afraid to try the P3 because it was the thick pork meat. We thought that the meat would be hard for us to chew but we still tried it and to our surprise, it became our favorite. We kept on ordering P3 and P5. It actually tasted like tocino; sweet and tender.
For the place, the place itself was small. I think it only has 10 to 12 tables of 4. But the place is well-ventilated. The crew! Kudos to the crew. Even though they were all so busy and they keep on working, giving out side dishes, meats and vegetables to the customers, the smiles on their faces remain.
Overall, our stay there was awesome and we would definitely go back! 👌👍
PROS:
- food was good. The pork/beef were of good quality. The vegetables provided were fresh. Even the quality of rice they provided was very good. 👍👍👍
- the staff were courteous and very attentive. 👍👍👍
- the best part is there is no time limit!! 👍👍👍
CONS:
- very limited parking space.
- only a few tables inside... But i'm guessing this branch in Katipunan has more tables than other branches (?)
- since there are only a few tables, there will be a long line of customers waiting outside for a long time. So i suggest come early before the lunch or dinner crowd start arriving.
All in all, we had a good and fun dining experience with friends. We will defintely come back 👍👍👍
