Ambience
The entrance was marked open but I was asked to enter through Shiok Shiok instead. Since I read that ownership for both restaurants is the same, I took initiative to ask for the Tuen Mun menu already.
Food
Century Egg is always delicious. I just love the flavor! I ate each piece alternately with my main dish.
Braised Noodles with Lechon Macau and Roasted Duck was a must-try since I wanted some duck. Since they bombarded their menu with multiple braised noodle dishes, I kept my eyes on that part. It's good! Noodles were saucy and soft yet they left enough room to enjoy chewing through. Lechon skin was to die for *knock on wood* but I put aside the minimal fat it came with. Meat was tender goodness! Duck was just right in tenderness and flavor.
Service
It was quick and calling a server was convenient. Waiting time was fair and not asking for service charge motivated me to give a tip!
This hole in the wall was an unexpected discovery. The noodles with roasted duck is to die for! Sometimes they run out of duck, though. Their lechon macau is also good.
Personally i love the White Chicken & Pork Asado, this resto has very reasonable price with big servings, fyi can order in half
Best Asado and Roasted Duck. Authentic tasting! The sauce is something to die for.
their roast duck is amazing <3 <3 awesome staff as well!
best spareribs and asado...... roasted duck in quezon city..... white and soy chicken is also good..... small place.... around 6 tables but place is clean
Tuen Mun Roasts is the Chinese roasting portion, easy identifiable with the hanging meats on their storefront. They're known for their roast duck, pork Asado and lechon Macau, among others, which you can enjoy with rice if you're eating solo, or in large, sliced portions for sharing with family.
I had their Soy Chicken Rice meal for lunch, which takes inspiration from the Hainanese Chicken. The chicken was tender and very meaty, but came with a light and sweet soy glaze that set it apart from its Singaporean counterpart. It even came with a ginger sauce— sinfully oily and loaded with more spring onions than ginger, yet salty all the same. The plate didn't come with the oily chicken rice, but this was fine since the chicken was flavorful enough as it was.
Craving for HK roast? I discovered Tuen Mun today and it was perfect! They offer both dine-in and takeaway - where service is hella fast (it should be, they just chop the meats up)
We ordered the following:
- Jellyfish and century egg combo: LOVE the jellyfish. I thought the century egg had an aftertaste... But to be fair, a lot of century eggs have an aftertaste
- Soy chicken: soft, with a delectable soy sauce. Surprisingly, this was my favorite dish here! Next time, I'll try the white chicken - which is supposed to be highly recommended as well
- Lechon macau: Love the Crispy skin! However I do wish they made the cuts thinner as the meat itself tasted rather dry, which was overwhelmingly obvious in the bigger cuts
- Roast asado: I wanted to purchase the premium cuts version, but they had run out. Anyway, I still liked it, although some were a bit fatty!
- Roast duck: they're famous for this, but I found it gummy. I know this is typical for duck but meh. You'll have to judge for yourself because I'm clearly biased against
Overall, a good experience with decent prices given the serving size (each one was shareable for 3 pax).
Roasted Duck, Asado, and Lechon Macau are my go-to at Tuen Mun! The place is okay, more on eat and go type of place but the food is worth it and affordable.
Curious about this place and was craving for their noodles at the same time so I head straight to Banawe and tried this place.
It was a simple place but the food is so good!
I’d go back here to try their other dishes.
Natikman ko na yung Asado.. Ang sarap! Singko! :)

This is a good place for your peking duck, lechon macau, and asado roastings. Quality is really good, at a really cheap (relatively) price.
All their roastings are generally not fatty. They’re not too lean as well. They strike the perfect balance of protein and fat.
Peking duck is tender and juicy throughout. Marinated well too! Lechon macau has really crispy pork skin and the pork meat is also tasty. The asado is not the best around, but still good since it’s juicy and seasoned well.
Their main strength would be that their meat is not dry, most restaurants fail at that. This is a good place to take out food for your family on the way home, especially if you’re gonna celebrate Mom’s birthday at home. What’s a better way than having pecking duck, right?
Service can be improved.
PS: You can order from Eat Fresh and Shiok Shiok here as the three are owned by one management only.
Easily the closest thing to roastings of HK The white chicken specially captured the HK taste The ribs are good. The char siu is a little tough though
I love their roast duck. They always provide me with my requests which is very accomodating. Pairing their food with fresh fruit shakes/juice is best.
Cross ordering with Shiok Shiok is also allowed so you can enjoy their desserts as well.
This is actually a sister company of eat fresh if I am not mistaken and is also very famous in the area due to their asado and soy chicken. Since I am already in the area, I decided to order a takeaway meal of asado to sample at home since I am so full from our dinner meal nearby. Their asado is really good I must say. So flavorful.

Parents are craving for roast meat so we came to tuen mun roasts. We ordered the duck and lechon macau, both tasted okay. Nothing special for me.
Bonus tip: since the owner of Tuen Mun roast and Shiok Shiok are the same, you can order from Shiok Shiok menu and vice versa. Will make a separate review for Shiok Shiok.
This is my go-to place for roast duck near UST. 😍
It's pretty cheap. Just 190 pesos for roast duck rice. The place is small but you can always sit in shiok shiok and just order from tuen mun. I personally love the roast duck and the jellyfish with century egg. ❤️
Their roasts are great, I felt like I were back home when I first put a piece of their asado in my mouth. One of the best places to eat in in Banawe.

Great food. The closest thing to Hong Kong hole-in-a-wall dining. I especially like the asado noodles which are cooked to perfection. The noodles are so good, I could finish it without the asado although the visit won't be complete without that red barbecued pork. Their soy chicken should be a top-rater in Metro Manila, or even nationwide. It's that good. Perfect drink to complement a Tuen Mun meal would be the fruit shakes from their sister restaurant, Eat Fresh, located right behind their space.
Tuen Mun Roasts is a shop which specializes on ducks. Located at the side streets of Banawe Street, this tiny shop can easily go unnoticed. Actually, we didn’t know it exists until my boyfriend’s mom told my boyfriend about it. From the outside, Tuen Mun Roasts gives a feel of a Chinese carinderia. You can also see some roasted ducks hanging inside their window. The shop itself is a bit small and cramp so we were lucky when some customers just left the shop.
I love their braised noodle with lechon macau and barbecued pork. Although the place is quite small and the Staffs are quite slow. I will definitely go back and try their barbecue ribs.
Tuen Mun Roasts is a humble restaurant in Banawe. Do not hesitate to get in and try their meals. I personally love the Roasted Barbecued Pork Asado/Roasted Duck Rice combo.
The pork asado was amazing - tender, sweet - while the roasted duck was quite flavorful, juicy, tender and smoky.

Its outside is as humble-looking as it is inside, in other words, it has a small but home-y feel to it. Don't let the space intimidate you from trying this out, so when you see a seat, take it, because you won't regret it. They have a variety of menu items which would definitely hit the spot whatever you may order. Their prices range from affordable to a bit expensive but each one is worth your money since they have a generous serving as well as savory deliciousness. Their side dishes truly go well with their meals so don't be afraid to give them a try as well.

If you are craving for pork asado and lechon Macau, when my kids craving for pork asado I always go here for take out half kilo cost 340 same for lechon Macau while cold cuts cost only 220pesos.
Been eyeing this joint for so long ever since it appeared in several articles about food spots in the Banawe area. Finally, I had a reason to go to Banawe and got to eventually try them out.
VERDICT: The food was better than I expected. I ordered the combination lechon macau/roast pork asado noodles (P180) and it was...divine. I liked the lechon macau better than the roast pork asado though. The lechon macau is just perfect the way lechon macau should be. Crispy skin with a very thin layer of fat underneath. Simple delicious food, quick service, glad I wasn't disappointed.
A hole in a wall feel when you get inside it smells so much like you're dining in HongKong. Aroma will make you order a lot from their menu.
The dining area is plain, nothing fancy - bare walls with some food pics. The place is busy so expect wet floors and tables SOMETIMES. Something they can easily fix with proper training and reminder from the owner or super.
Food is really good. The duck is similar to expensive restos. It's very tasty. White chicken is also good and their asado. Lechon Macau runs out fast so ask about it first before ordering. Their rice toppings are very affordable. Short orders are affordable too and the portion is just right.
One good place to try if you're in the Banawe area.

Cold cuts (asado, lechon macau, jellyfish, and century egg)
Hongkong style roast duck and a lot of other roasts at very affordable prices! Missed the tendon though. I heard it's very good also. Would have given the place a 5.0 if they are open on Sundays also but, sadly, they are not. No nonsense dining pleasure! Will be back very soon!

Tuen Mun, also known as "Castle Peak" in English, is actually a small city in Hong Kong located in The New Territories area. Aside from the traditional Hong Kong noodles and dimsum dishes, this place specializes in different types of roasts; from pork to duck to chicken, you name it they got it!
Tuen Mun Roasts located in N. Roxas, Quezon City exemplifies this specialty in the most authentic way possible. It's a tiny red restaurant with a huge window displaying the chicken and ducks they roast, just like you would get in any neighborhood eatery in Hong Kong. No frills with this place as the tables, chairs and decorations are kept to a minimal. You could actually miss the place if you weren't paying much attention...
Just like everything else, the menu is kept very straight forward. You have a choice between rice toppings, cold cuts and braised noodles. From there you can decide whether you're going for their chicken, pork, or duck and what sauce/type of cooking you'd want. I got the mix of a barbecued pork asado and soy chicken rice topping (yes you could do that). No complaints for the serving size, good for a hungry guy whose first meal of the day started at 1pm; and all praise for the main entree. Hands down authentic pork asado and soy chicken. If you haven't been to Hong Kong and haven't tasted the real thing then this is the closest thing you could get. The pork is sweet and rich but not slathered in sauce. Its marinated to perfection and cooked in the right temperature as the sweet soy sauce was not burnt. The chicken, although very boney, was packed with a juicy, ginger-soy flavor that was most likely braised and slow cooked ages. Everything was full of flavor, cooked the right way and was made with the freshest and most authentic ingredients. More variety would do this place much better, aside from that this place is A-OK. oh, and their milk tea is to die for. high recommend this place!
Excellent roast duck , fabulous roast pork & heavenly soy chicken. Noodles dish just average place very small not ideal for big groups. Service is rather slow. Ordering roasting like 1/2 roast duck then order plain rice best option for voracious hungry foodie. guest can order from thier other 2 restaurant beside eat fresh restaurant and shiok shiok for laksa or clay pot chicken rice with chinese sausage and fresh avocado shake
I am a sucker for Chinese food. Particularly dimsum and roastings. I have tried several pork asado and lechon macau dishes in other restos before but this is really fantastic! I'd recommend you ask for extra ginger sauce if you opt for asado to go.
Oh, don't expect the place to be fancy. Small place but smells heavenly!
Always reliably good! Their HK roast duck and lechon macau are always a winner! The duck goes well with noodles too, and the braised noodles were perfectly chewy. You can also cross order from their sister restaurant Eat Fresh.

The Roasted Duck and Asado Pork were both tender and juicy. For additional 10 bucks, you get to have braised noodles instead of rice. I recommend eating the duck with chili sauce.
If you want deliciousHong Kong Peking duck, roasted asado pork, Lecgoj Macau and White chicken with ginger sauce, you could try Tuen Mun. It's close to authentic! Just beside their restaurant, you can order from their sister restaurant Eat fresh the following: milk tea, shakes, claypot dishes and a lot of Singapore/ Taiwanese/HK street food!
Roasted Duck is good and quiet affordable 400 pesos for 1/4 kilo can be shared by two, flavor of the duck is passable although unlike the Hong Kong roasted duck and which tender, buttery taste due to it's fat content and the plum sauce dip which compliments the roast perfectly, while Tuen Mun uses a different dip a mixture of Hoisin sauce and sweet syrup which also goes quite well but the duck is a lean and a bit rubbery, but it is a very good substitute for those who crave for roast duck.👌🏽
Place has good value. The rice toppings are okay.
Good: Asado, jelly fish with century egg and spare ribs (Eat Fresh)
Ok: Lechon macau and roast duck
One great thing is that you can order the dishes from Eat Fresh too as they are under the same management.
Best roast I've tasted and reasonably priced. It's one place I'd want to go back to again and again. Wish the place was a little bigger. The tables were kinda small but you wouldn't mind that since they serve really good and tasty food.
The place is small and some customers noisy. You've been warned. Roast items on the menu are fine and prices are generally affordable. The milk teas are worth trying.
Delicious and affordable, 'nuff said. We ordered the roast duck and chicken. The serving was big enough for five to six people. The place is a bit small though so either come early or have a table reserved because the place can be very packed, esp. during peak hours
