I treated my Mom and big sister for an unplanned lunch. It just happened that sister passed by the house and I was in the mood to have a bonding moment with her.
Seriously, it has been a long time since the last time we three went out. Off to Mesa, we did.
Mom really enjoyed the pork belly in Sinigang in Guava and Pineapple and Pomelo Salad, my sister her Blue Marlin and Baked Scallops with Garlic Butter and me? Pork Sisig. I'm almost always happy and content with sisig.
But it was really the Sinigang that stole the limelight. Mom, knowing that she doesn't actually go to Filipino restaurants, fell in love with the dish.
You know the rule: If Moms are happy, everyone is happy.
Had dinner here last night after a tiring day because i was craving for sinigang na baboy. Ordered sinigang and crispy tadyang.
Their sinigang was amazing. I was hesitant at first because i tried sinigang with guava years ago and i didnt like it. But theirs was superb, it was sour but in a satisfying way. Definitely a must of youre cravibg for sinigang.
Crispy tadyang was also good. Super soft, even the tendons are cooked well.
4 star because service was kinda slow. To be fair there were a lot of customers. But when we were supposed to order and two staffs were pointing at each other as to who's gonna take our order, in front of us, it kinda put me off. Other than that, it was all good.
After a month in the US, Mesa was at the top of my mind for endulging myself on Filipino entrees that are perfect with RICE! Karekare, sisig in a pouch and 2way laing are among those that stood out on my list and really loved them. Staff are friendly and attentive so overall it was a very good dining experience for me.
I order almost same food items when I visit. The kare-kare, adobo and kaldereta have been my top 3 faves in this restaurant. The turon is tasty for dessert.

Mesa is our favorite filipino restaurant in the Tomas Morato/ Scout area 👌we always bring balikbayan friends and relatives here because we know they won’t get disappointed. Quality of their food is consistent and prices are reasonable. Definitely value for money! Our favorites here, which you shouldn’t miss, are the baked scallops with garlic butter, crispy boneless tilapia with 4 sauces (we always order two of this!), sizzling blue marlin, crispy boneless crispy pata, their crabs, pinakbet, beef kare kare and baby squid in olive oil!!! Cap your meal with halo-halo, guinomis or cassava cake 😋😋😋
A filipino place to satisfy your filipino cravings. For me, seafood is my target. Ordered their (1) Baked Scallops w/ Butter and it was hella good. The taste is just perfect, not too bland, not too salty. (2) Their Baby Squid in Olive Oil and Garlic is to die for (HAHA), with just this very dish, Mesa became one of my top filipino restaurants.
Other than the food, staff were accommodating and were active (too much active actually, to the point that they’re singing to the bg music of the place 😆) though a bit inattentive. Price of the food is just right, approx. 350 per person (in a family) . Would definitely come back
If you’re craving for Filipino food, this is one of the choices in Tomas Morato. Some dishes are cooked/served in a contemporary approach so if you want to eat legit Filipino food you might want to try another restaurant but in the 4 times we ate here, I can say that the experience was nice enough to come back and eat here again.
One of the best Filipino restaurants in the metro. We ordered our favorite items in the menu. I love the laing (served spicy and not too spicy), kare kare needs more meat. The rest were also yummy! Staffs were attentive and courteous!
Ambiance is okay. I really just notice holes in their sofa. It's a big deal to me. We ordered the platter with bbq, chicken, tahong, liempo, squid, and shrimp. Nothing different with the taste but presentation and arrangement is nice. We also ordered sinigang na salmon. My standards on this dish is really high so I'd say the taste is just normal at best. Good thing with salmon sinigang is that it tastes good if you know basic cooking. Also ordered baby squid and laing. Laing is the best among what we ordered. They have many staff so that makes it easy for them to attend to you fast. The best thing about this dining experience is their ambiance so I'll recommend it if that's what you're after. The price is okay at best for the taste.

If you like Filipino food, Mesa is probably good. I liked the food but the taste was unusal for my Indian taste buds. I had vegetables and chicken. The quantity was large and it was enough for two. I have never gone back there but the place is nice if you would like to try the local cuisine.
This is the second MESA branch we visited. Like the SM North one, the Tomas Morato branch is also strikingly beautiful creating a relaxing ambience perfect for all occasions. The staff are also attentive and friendly. The dishes are affordable and with ample servings.
On that day, we had the ff: Mangga Salad, Crispy Boneless Pata, Baby Crispy Squid and Laing Fried Rice. All of these were deliciously satisfying. The only problem we encountered during our lunch here was with the Crispy Boneless Pata. It's delicious BUT it wasn't that crispy.
Despite that, overall dining experience was great.
I am not a big fan of Filipino food. But when I am craving, I eat only at Mesa. They have a wide variety of authentic Filipino food that is cooked to perfection and are reasonably priced. Good food, good service and ample serving. And best of all (especially in Tomas Morato) parking is not a problem.
I love the place. I like the foyer. I like the food. The filipino dishes served are auhentic and it have a very unique taste that do not sacrifice the authenticity of the ingredients. I will come back here with my family and make sure to spend our time with the place. The staff are well organized and they know the menu and food well. Just need more staff as I think they have less that it make take awhile someone to come to our table. The menu speaks for itself. I hope the bathroom should always be kept clean and maintained.
I am considering coming back to this place because of the food served.
Its my second time to eat here and always love its cozy ambiance. You have a wide variety of
Filipino cuisine. One of my favorite is baked scallops. The price for me is reasonable just enough for their service size. Staff are not so attentive but are nice.
Very accessible (to me at least as I live just a few meters away from the place). The place is decent and service is good. The food taste good as well. I love the Tawilis with Manga, Baked Scallops and Baked Tahong, Crispy Boneless Tilapia, Pinatayong Manok, Binagoongang Baboy ni Kaka, Daing na Bangus Belly and Laing Two-ways.

The one that stood out for me during my visits to Mesa is their Binagoongang Baboy ni Kaka! Really salty and blends well with the pork and talong! Yummers!

First off, parking is ok.
Second, the ambiance is cozy and really gives off that Pinoy vibe.
Third, food is great! Had the chance to eat with a big group and was able to taste a lot of their specialties.
Fourth, great service as well!
Solid mesa despite having morre branches now, they still have great food quality with excellent presebtation to do filipino food justice to our foreign guests. Never has mesa failed us in impreaaing our guests and opening them to the wonders of filipino cuisine. Aircon was weak at this branch. We wanted to eat at rockwell branch but it was closed so ended up here.
With all the meat we had from Noche Buena we were all craving for some seafood during Christmas day lunch. We went here as we guessed this restaurant would be open. We got the sizzling blue marlin and sinigang na ulo ng salmon. It was all good and very tasty. Price is also reasonable with the serving size. It was all value for money.
What I don't like is their couch, very stiff and would make your back ache. The arrangement also of the tables and chairs makes the area very small and made me feel claustrophobic.
Ate up at this place with family a few months ago. We had the private function hall all to ourselves(we were that many. Lol!) A wide selection of Filipino classics, great for sharing for a great crowd.
The place for Filipino food you won't regret visiting. Try their Tinapa Roll, Laing 2 ways, Boneless Crispy Pata, Crispy Boneless Tilapia, among others. Their food taste and service are consistent. Price to serving size is also good.

Yummm!
Every dish tastes so goood.
Perfect for big groups and families. Cozy ambiance with a relaxing lighting which makes your experience somewhat relaxing.
Mesa is synonymous to lovingly-prepared Filipino dishes, with an interesting twist. It is one of our favorite places to bring balikbayans and expat colleagues for them to get a sample of authentic Filipino cuisine. Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous enough for sharing.
I've always loved dining here at Mesa. Everything is delicious! From the sisig to kare-kare, tilapia and asparagus tips, grilled liempo! Perfect for a family dinner. Or if you're with friends, you can still hang out after a delightful meal and have some cocktails and lots of chitchat!

It's the season of parties and celebration ! ;) I am totally excited to be with my friends again ;) Food has to be part of almost everything there is to celebrate !
My friend booked a function room here at Mesa
Love the space , it's enough for 10-15 people
We had a huge appetite to fill in that day , and we are in the mood to order everything ! Haha
For starters we had baked scallops and baked tahong- loving the generous roasted garlic . We also tried ginataang pomelo salad - 😫
Grilled platter was ok, there's shrimp , pork, BBQ and fish.
The lechon was served three ways :
1. Wrapped with wansuy and pancake wrap ( like Peking duck wrapper)
2. Sautéed with Garlic
3. Sautéed with sweet and spicy seasoning
Of all the the three I like the sweet and spicy flavor , it masks the oily taste of the pork.
Overall our experience went great but will reconsider dining here again , I just didn't like that everything was oily and soggy. Not appetizing at all.
Food and restaurant ambiance is superb. Their sisig and crispy pata are commendable; however, their baked scallops are disappointing. I remember being very fond of them, but recently, their serving of the said viand became smaller and smaller 🙁
This resto offers a cozy feeling in a Filipino way. They offer the best salmon sinigang ive ever tasted. It is quite expensive but belly worthy.
I love how the place is totally Filipino. The ceiling has bamboo highlights and the chandeliers give an impression that they are made of purely local materials. Even the metal spoon and fork were designed to look like a bamboo. The menu is very Filipino too. Food was good too.
This is my first time to try out this restaurant. Surprisingly, i loved their dishes. All of their dishes are with a twist.
Pardon me but I didn't order the dishes so I didn't know what are the names of the dishes.
We ordered the classing sinigang but with pineapple and guava. I was surprised that it was not so sour, just the way I liked it.
Prichon - classic lechon served ala peking duck with hoisin sauce. No explanations needed.
Chicken - even without the sauce it is still flavorful. If it is with gravy much yummier.
Turon - turon with langka fried in wanton wrapper topped with chocolate sauce. Different taste. I super liked it.
Sorry if i was not helpful with the names but next time i dine in, i will definitely look at the menu

We've visited this place several times already and I could honestly say that this is one of the neat establishments you'll frequently dine in to. Best when you love Filipino cuisines. I'd like to suggest their mangga salad served in a Martini glass: mangoes were picked carefully so only the ones that has the balance taste of sour & sweetness would be served, the flavour was also pretty good & for a person who doesn't like green mangoes, this one is an A for me. Their baked tahong was also so delicious. I'm not sure if it's always that tasty everywhere coz I've tried this dish somewhere else and was also pretty good. I just think it's a little bit pricey considering the servings and the raw cost of this dish. The tinapa rice wasn't the best and the servings was also strictly just for 2, order their garlic rice instead since it taste better and is also a lot cheaper. I also don't suggest that Bam 'ai noodle. It's like pancit bihon but it lacks the necessary taste.
Variety of Filipino food at an affordable price. Great and cozy ambiance and enjoy your all time comfort meals at Mesa's Filipino-modern interior. I recommend to try their Inihaw Sampler (P700+) which includes barbeque, liempo, shrimp and squid. A must try is also their Crispy boneless hito and kare-kare. Definitely generous servings for an affordable price at a great and cozy ambiance.
Read some good reviews about the interior and the food, so we decided to have our lunch here.
Mesa's interior is a modern-Filipino style with a cozy ambience. They serve good Filipino cuisine with reasonable price. We ordered Inihaw Sampler, Crispy Boneless Pata and Sinigang na Salmon Head.
Inihaw Sampler consists of a variety of grilled foods like chicken, seafoods such as shrimps, squid, mussels, and bangus belly, and porks such as barbecue and liempo. This sampler was good and enough for a group. It will also satisfy your liking for a variety of grilled foods.
Crispy Boneless Pata was served along with its bones, I think for food presentation. Taste is just okay cuz' I know other restaurant that serves Crispy Pata better. Also, I was a bit disappointed with the size because it was a bit small.
Sinigang na Salmon Head was delicious. The "asim" was just right. Good thing was that the waiter was the one who divided the serving and put the soup in our bowls. Plus point for the good service.
I ordered fresh buko as my drink. The buko is really good. I also asked the waiter to open it, so that I can eat the soft coconut meat inside.
Mesa is best for family lunch/dinner. I will surely come back to try their other dishes.
A quality Filipino food worth eating. Me and fiance love to dine here. The food that we've tried so far was namely: Sisig in a Pouch and tinapa roll for appetizers; Bagoong Rice, Laing Two-ways, Suahe on Rocks, Crispy Tilapia with four sauce, Pinatayong Manok, Tofu Sisig, Mango Salad, Kare-Kare & Crispy Hito which are all very good. Their service is quite nice too and the dining area have a very pleasant ambiance.
I like the Crispy Boneless Tilapia served with 4 dips (sauces) blends well with binagoongan rice, they do also have Tilapia rice. Two thumbs up for baked scallops taste so good, had another order of it. Price is reasonable and service is good.
Mesa serves Filipino cuisine with a different modern twist. Since we are trying to cut down on meat, we ordered Mesa's 2 way Laing, Talong salad and Tofu Sisig. Compared to other branches, Mesa Tomas Morato serves the best tasting version of their dishes. Affordable (bill is only around 600php), efficient service and relaxing ambiance.
I always fancy dining at Filipino restaurants. One of the best and unique ways to eat lechon is to try their Crispchon wrapped in pandan!! :) Budget friendly too :)
I honestly thought that it's a bit pricey here but I stand corrected. The dishes were great especially the Binagoongang Baboy ni Kaka which has become my favorite! I will definitely go back over and over again. :)
Had an amazing brunch with my brothers here. The ambiance is quite modern with a touch of pinoy style. The food was great and tasty. Keep it up!
I like their food varieties. Filipino dishes with a twist. But their servings are small. That's the only problem that I can see. Overall, their food, service and ambiance are great! Will definetely come back here.
Mesa has been around for a while but it was only recently that I got to eat there. I went with officemates and we ordered sinigang na baboy, 2-way laing, chicken barbecue and pork barbecue. We also tried their turon for dessert. Everything was so good! I don't eat laing but after I tried theirs, I converted. The staff are nice too. They also anticipate our needs. For a budget of P1,000.00, the 4 of us were so full after our lunch. Definitely recommendable.
Fresh catch seafood: shrimp with century egg and chilled taho salad, baked scallops on a half shell topped with generous buttered garlic, and crispy-fried crab in olive oil and garlic... Hhhmmmm! Yummy! A cup of steaming rice, please...
If you want to experience Filipino food that are better than those of Gerry's Grill and the likes, then you should try Mesa. The Kare-Kare, Laing and Binagoongan Rice, for me, are the standouts here, oh, and I almost forgot the Ensaladang Mangga. It is a perfect place for family bonding, and I bet your friends will love it too. I just find the place a lil dark inside though.

I like dining and trying different dishes, but Filipino cuisine will always have a special place in my foodie heart. I first tried Mesa when I was in Boracay. So dining here was not new, minus the beach I guess :)
Messa at Tomas Morato is your typical family restaurant because once you go in, you will only see long and wide tables. I guess they are targeting those big groups and families that enjoy casual dining. Serving sizes were good for 3 people. Home made cooking reflects in their dishes. Mesa is not trying to hard nothing to have a distinct taste, which is good. Simplicity has its own attraction if you ask me. Value to serving size is, I can say, affordable.
Messa is a definite for families who like Filipino cuisine and the ambiance that is very close to home.
I seldom eat Pinoy food out since I always prefer Pinoy food cooked at home. But Mesa had been a pleasant change. It is not your usual Pinoy food as they modernized the take on our food, gave it a little twist. I enjoyed every dish, even purists like me. ;-)
Tinapa Roll Wrapped in Lettuce, Baked Scallops with Garlic Butter, Baby Squid with Olive Oil and Binagoongan Baboy ni Kaka is a must try!!!
The place looks expensive, but when u look at their menu, u can afford it. Filipino cuisine ;) big servings! Sulit! ;)
Tinapa roll wrapped in lettuce, Blue Marlin Belly, Sisig Rice, Crispy Boneless Pata, Chicken Binakol ...........................................
Food are deliciously good.
Two thumbs up for their Tinapa Rice.
I also liked the Crispy Leche Flan for dessert.
Will surely come back with my boyfriend next time.
