Place and crew - Place was a bit small comapred sa customers. Dagsa kasi ang tao. Kulang sa tables and chairs.

Patty is so flavorful and juicy, and the vegetables in it are also fresh. It is my go-to snack when I finish my exams. Definitely at par with famous burger joints, but significantly cheaper. Quarter pounder is P90. If only it has a dining place too. I hope they expand!
If Krabby Patties were real, I'd say you can get them from Snack Shack! You can taste the freshness of ingredients in every bite. Patties are made from real ground beef. And the sauce.... the sauce is what sets them apart from other burger joints in the metro. Plankton must already be on a hunt for their secret formula!
Walked around UP Diliman and found one of the best grilled burgers in area 2. It’s not expensive for its quality. There’s a bench in the counter for a quick grub. 5 stars for the perfectly juicy burger patty.
Beside Snack Shack is a stand that serves the freshest fruit shakes in the area for a minimum price of P45. This store used to be in the corner end of UP’s shopping mall. Oreo Cheese Shake is one of their classic best. Locally grown fruits and vegetables are also available.
Another hole-in-the-wall experience. Their burgers easily beat any of your local fast food chain’s. Their prices are affordable too. While not really student-friendly, this is perfect for rewarding yourself after a tiring exam or after jogging around the oval 😂. The fries aren’t something to talk about, but complements the burger well. What makes the burger yummy is definitely the beef patty. You know it’s fresher than other burgers you’ve tried because of its flavorful, juicy but firm patty. With just the right amount of spices, I’ll bet you’ll surely enjoy this as well!
Ordered the half pounder, and it was such a bargain for the price! The patty was nice and juicy, although the buns could be a but improved. Burger in itself was tasty, even without condiments. Would highly recommend for a cheap but delicious burger fix.

Snack Shack, why weren’t you available when I was a coed in the campus??? I was craving isaw actually, but it seems like Mang Larry was forced to move again :(. However, I heard good thing about this joint so I hied myself there (after a quick pitstop at Lutong Bahay).
I ordered a quarter pounder (sans the onion) which was a super affordable P90 pesos! It came complete with cheese, lettuce, and tomato too! I also got one order of loaded fries (₱99) which was topped with sour cream, cheese sauce, chili and bacon. And it was da bomb! Yummy, though a bit difficult to eat as it was in a cup instead of a more accessible paper bowl. I do understand that the items were to go, hence the container, but a wider opening would help make the eating experience be better since the toppings would be better distributed.
And the burger was surprisingly good! Smokey, beefy and filling. It won’t rank higher than the other burgers I have eaten but for the price, it was good value. The patty was a bit overcooked though. They might want to cut the cooking time for a more tender and juicy patty. Also, hopefully, more chairs inside but that’s understandable. The area has a limited sitting capacity. But I will be back for more next time.

You can't go wrong with Snack Shack. Great burgers at such an affordable price. Homemade patties are delicious, juicy,and always freshly-prepared. Served with lightly-toasted buns, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, mustard and cheese. No photos because the burgers aren't exactly pretty haha ( I guess it's safe to say they focus on the flavors rather than the presentation 😂)
Friends from outside UP always ask for these burgers as "pasalubong" whenever they get word that I'm passing by UP before meeting them (not recommended, since the burgers get a bit soggy in transit because the moisture from the freshly-cooked burgers don't get a chance to escape before being packed, but toasting it usually solves this minor problem).

Tried their combo (?) meal for PhP 150. Quarter pounder with fries and drinks. Fries were nice and crispy, iced tea was delicious (they labeled it as "real" iced tea, wasn't made from powdered tea). Just super shocked about the packaging for takeout, when I opened the paper bag, the takeout box and ketchup had no cover!(See photo) They didn't instruct me to hold it a certain way pa naman, good thing I didn't tilt the bag while walking.
Sad that they took away the tables and only left a few chairs are waiting areas. Dine in no longer available.
Had an afternoon snack in the area, so we tried Snack shack. We ordered the quarter pounder with chilli con carne and a side of fries and their signature iced tea. I have to say we were really impressed. Grilled beef patty topped with cheese and chilli con carne on a toasted bun. Smoky meaty flavour. Very affordable with good quality. Value for money. The fries also had generous serving, the iced tea was brewed and refreshing.
One of the better burgers in town. no fancy ingredients. Nothing infused in the burger/bun. Just plain ol' good burger. Affordable too.

Josh and I have been fans of Snack Shack since college! When we were in our senior year, a quarter pounder with cheese is sold at 70 pesos, but after 3 years, it's now at 90 pesos. Honestly, it's still a steal! 😍
When they first opened a couple of years ago in Area 2, they sometimes get sold out as early as lunch time. I guess the hype isn't like that anymore now, as we casually strolled in at 1PM last Saturday and still got our burger fix. It's the same great burger I remembered: juicy patty, soft bun, crisp veggies, and a slice of cheese. The taste and texture of the patty remained the same, though I noticed that it became slightly thinner than how I remembered it to be. 🙊 For people with huge appetites, you may opt to get their half pounder instead, and you'll still spend less than 200 bucks. 😍
They now serve fries but I didn't try it (I don't remember seeing this on their menu before), because whenever I eat here, I ALWAYS order the fries from a stall somewhere along Area 2. Thick-cut, flavored, and comes with a free dip. All that for just 75 pesos. I forgot the name of the stall though. HEHE. 🍟
While you're waiting for them to prepare your burger, you may also opt to visit Lutong Bahay (UP students and alumni fondly call this LB) also along Area 2. LB serves thr BEST and most sulit fruit shakes ever! Each order is priced at around Php 75, and first timers always get surprised at how they're served with a 16oz cup AND a 12oz cup. 😁
Snack Shack is arguably the best place to get your burger fix without breaking the bank -- you'll have enough cash to buy yourself a drink and side dish. Oh, and they have seats and tables now, too! 💜 Do drop by when you're in the area!

Snack Shack is a popular burger joint amongst Maginhawa goers. I would have easily rated this 5 stars but they increased all their prices just recently (quality is still good though) Their quarter pounder burger used to be 70 pesos only! We always go to here for our burger fix and it never disappoints!
Tip 1:waiting line can get really long so you can get their number, text your orders then pick them up!
Tip 2: add some garlic ranch and jalapeños for that extra kick! (They put lots of jalapeños in it so better avoid this if you can’t handle heat)
Tip 3: They have siracha sauce in their counters you can ask for it and put some in your burger!
You can get one of the best burgers in the city for as low as 80 pesos! I used to hate vegetables, but with their burgers, I didn't mind eating them. Their lettuce, onions and tomatoes are really fresh too. Both the burger and the vegetables make up the overall flavor.
However, they don't really have a dine-in place, which I hope they get soon. The lines could be really long and the orders stack up especially during peak hours since you have to wait for about 15-20 minutes for your burger. But don't worry, the burger's worth waiting for. Really.
It could really be such a hassle when it's raining. They are open from Mondays to Saturdays, but sometimes only until 7 or 8pm, it depends.
3.5 is for the effort and the price of the burger. It lacked the beefy taste of a burger but it was quite a size and it has veggies in it and for that price it was okay. You can buy fries at the back which is another store if that burger still does not satisfy you. I would try that burger again because it got me looking for a taste of a burger. I think it really lacked taste as if you were not eating a burger.

The Snack Shack has really awesome burgers and is now on the top of my list. The only problem I have is that the place is small and crowded at times, esp during peak hours, so it may take a bit long. But it'll be worth it. Now better than Zarks, as it's better in quality and price.
I left the group with a broken heart since i have errands to run. CMA was famished and he is having burger cravings for the past couple of days. Snack Shack is the nearest, he initially wanted Lazy B but he said he will be cranky in a few minutes.
Didn't know that our fave burger joint has branches in QC. He got the half pounder and we patiently waited while they flame grill the burger. I inadvertently listened to the conversation of the group of kids while waiting for the food. Nuclear physics! My nose bleed. Gotta hand it to the UP kids!
Snack Shack is still king when it comes to flame grilled burgers. The burger patty is juicy and oozing with beefy goodness. If they update the bread to brioche, the other burger joints might start sweating bullets. Uhmmm...wait, i take it back... They should keep it as it is, staying true to their simple, guerilla flame grilled burgers adds to their charm.
Overall, Snack Shack is the rebel of the burger scene.
If you're looking for cheap burgers (but quality) that are meaty, juicy and packed with your favorite toppings, you'll definitely love Snack Shack's burgers! I always prefer mine with jalapeno, garlic chips and bleu cheese.
Idk but I'm not impressed with Snack Shack's burger patty. It isn't what I was expecting it to be. 80Php for a cheese burger is not sulit for me. :(

Excellent place for us students with burger cravings! At around P70 for a freshly-cooked quarter pounder oozing with dressing and relish, it's super duper sulit! Waiting time is around 15 minutes so prepare to wait! But it's worth it because you get a nice warm burger that you can eat on the go or enjoy on one of the benches in front of the store. I just wish they could expand/relocate their branch in Area 2 to another street so that people wouldn't have to stand around waiting for their burgers since the benches/chairs are too few for the crowd that comes for burgers.
Quality pound burgers with a good cost! Me and my whole team did a very worthy choice. We really had a remarkable picnic there at UP Diliman Campus because of this burgers. First time that I was impressed by a small branch that's making quality burgers.. So full so satisfied and made me feel like I am really a foodie . Love love love it!
This is my go to place when craving burgers. Waiting time is usually 20 minutes so I usually text them ahead for my orders and pick them up when they're ready. But I think they recently changed their bread and it tastes a little different from what I was used to. The burger patties are still good though..
So, I've been dying to go here for almost a year now. This was suppose to be one of mine and my husband's (who was just a manliligaw at the time) 50 first dates - yeah, we're cheesy. We went on 50 dates before we became a couple hahaha 😝
Husband ordered the half pounder. Seester-in-law and I ordered the quarter pounder. I heard a lot of good stuff about Snack Shack, and I don't know if it's because of the hype of the place (plus my high expectations of it) or if we were there too early (?), but I wasn't a big fan. It tasted like a normal burger (that took almost 20 minutes to make) - like a burger I could make at home. Even North agreed that it didn't taste like how it used to. I was a little disappointed, but we did explore the next street over, which had so many other places to eat! So we had a few bites there too.
I still love burgers 😍 and I'm willing to give Snack Shack another chance. But for now, it'll be a 3.5/5.0
