Newest hole in the wall along Maginhawa street. Came by here today and this cafe is still on their soft opening.
The building design is literally a great convenience for customers as there are parking spaces available at the front. We all know one of the major difficulties when planning on a food trip to Maginhawa and you are bringing your vehicle is parking space. That's absolutely no lie.
Sundae flavor comes only in two varieties:
(1) BLACK MASCARPONE
(2) MILK TEA SWIRL.
I ordered a plain cup of Milk Tea Swirl with an extra sinker of Boba which costs extra P20.00 If you happen to be ordering their famour Sundae, you will have to choose first what sort of Sundae in cup you will get: Plain cup, Cup Classic [+1 Topping], Cup Grande [+ 1 Topping and 1 Crunch], or Cup Supreme [+1 Topping and 2 Crunches]. Then, what you will be asked what sundae flavor swirled into the cup/cone. Black Mascarpone? Milk Teal Swirl? You will see the variety of toppings and crunch options on the menu. I wasn't really in the mood for anything mysterious today. I just really wanted to appreciate how this Milk Tea Swirl sundae tastes and it did not disappoint.
Black Scoop cafe also offers food and drinks such as:
Coffee and Chocolate Drinks
Cream Cheese Lattes
Specialty Drinks
Frappe Drinks
Tea Drinks from Milk Tea to Fruit Tea
As for their food menu, my general comment is that food options are very limited but pretty acceptable.
Ambience is absolutely delightful. Young and old ones will definitely enjoy it. Indoor and outdoor seats are available.
Expect this place to be packed in the next few weeks time.
The restaurant is still polishing details (it opened July 26, 2018) so there may still be rough spots, though I didn't encounter any.
Best place best food best drinks
Love the drinks, the food and the cozy feelimg of the place
Best milk tea soft serve!

Great ambience and drinks
Milk tea is one of the drinks I find hard to resist. I've been so used to gulping down at least one large cup a week. The lockdown changed all that as I barely had any sweet drink for months. To make up for all the milk tea I missed, I had a gallon of boba from Black Scoop and tried a few new items on its menu.
I ordered Black Mascarpone Sundae with Peach Honey. It was good! The combination of sundae and honey is delish.
I keep coming back for their ice cream!! Perfect combos for me are the black mascarpone with blueberry toppings! Very much like a blueberry cheesecake ice cream! I also love the milk tea ice cream and having the pearls as a topping. Place is huge, conducive for meetings.

This place was remarkably fancy and spacious, perfect for an after dinner. It's even packed late at night when we got here.
Desserts tasted better than they looked. The Ghirardelli swirl topped with Nutella, KitKat and Crunch was superb. While the Strawberries and Cream was light and refreshing.
I would love to try more of their menu.

I was surprised that this place is very huge and wide. I thought it’s just a small cafe because of the pictures I saw on Facebook. Upon opening the door, this is what you’ll see… Expect it to be a jam-packed place especially on weekends. It is true that people are patiently waiting at the line to get their orders. Luckily, we had our order done before the line starting to pile up.
A very cozy place to hang out with family and friends! Menu is so diversed, I had a hard time choosing what to try first. But will definitely be back to try their other drinks and food. Pasta serving is so generous, can be shared with.
I like their Milk tea blends. I'd like to try the Coffee next time.
We ordered the following drinks...
Thai Milk Tea, Cheesecake MT, Wintermelon and Hershey's MT.
This branch is really spacious and cozy.
FIRST time to try milk tea ice cream and it was soooooo goood 🤗🍨
new favorite ice cream flavor.
Ambiance of the store is very nice a d relaxing
AMBIANCE
- Great place to study or just relax
SUNDAE GRANDE CUP
- They only had milk tea ice cream available sadly :’(
- Matcha topping and granola crunch for Php. 185.00
- A bit expensive, but it tasted fresh and wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet
This is where I usually hang out with friends after gym or for a snack. I love the interior of the place. The staff are nice. Selection of food is good. Love the sardines pasta , wings, fries, cakes.its a plus if they have good wifi. There’s also parking. Always a full house

Wished they have a larger size for a cream cheese matcha. This one's small but loaded with creamy goodness and that characteristic earthy taste with that bitterness leaning on the sweet side. And the cream cheese made the drink smooth in the tongue. And look at that healthy quote printed on the cup. What more can I ask for but a larger size? 😊😊
I'm not an expert in milktea and I don't have a sweet tooth but I find their original black sugar with cream cheese series really good. Imperial fruit tea was also good and refreshing and equally enjoyable was the black sugar series matcha milktea.
I had the cream cheese wintermelon milk tea which was recommended by a friend. She's got good taste! For my boyfriend, I initially wanted him to experience the milk tea ice cream swirl with pearls. Since it was unavailable, he resorted to Sakura ice cream which wasn't as good as our original preference.
I've always been curious about this place but never been anywhere near where they have a branch. Good thing I was able to pass by Maginhawa and made a stop over. It was around 8pm on a
Sunday and luckily the queue was short. I have no idea what to order. They have a long menu list on the wall. So I asked the lady in the cashier and she was kind enough to give me a taste test of the black mascarpone & the white one (i forgot the name). In the end I tried the black mascarpone with okinawa and its super tasty! I passed by again after 3 days 😁
I came from a food meet up and I was craving for something sweet. I asked my driver to take somewhere near my place in Commonwealth, somewhere I can get something sweet and cold. My driver, who's a part-time Grab Food rider, took me to Black Spoon Cafe in Maginhawa. And so we went.
I didn't expect this place to be huge and to be packed (mostly by young people). It's cozy, comfortably cool and staffed with so many male and female baristas. Some of which were friendly while the others couldn't be bothered. Well, ____ you, too. I just wanted to take my Cream Cheese Hershey's to the car, enjoy every sip of it as I listened to the rain pounding the roof. Just love it.
Sakura blossom ice cream was really good! The white rabbit here in their maginhawa branch was a bit bland compared to what we had at their banawe branch.
Went here a month ago after we had ramen and isaw. And as usual for a cafe, kind of crowded but thanks to its spacious place. I forgot what we ordered, pictured below, it has a berry yogurt taste. It was creamy and we were planning on going back anytime soon to try other beverages.
Ice cream, milk tea, and coffee--in just one café! We tried their Brown Sugar Latte with Cream Cheese (Php150, Large) - taste is ok, too sweet for me. But the price is a bit expensive.
We also tried their Yakult soft serve ice cream. For us, it tasted like Haw-haw candy, with just a hint of the Yakult flavor. I'll definitely return to try their coffee and other meals. :) I think the white rabbit ice cream and black macarpone (im not sure hehe) are also their best sellers.
Loved the minimalistic design of this café. Hardwood tables, brick walls and metal chairs. You might even mistake the café for a co-working space.
What made this place fascinating is have classic coffee shop favorites, classic milk teas, fruit teas to interesting soft-serve flavors.
But ultimately, they take pride in their delectable ice cream soft-serves that can be savored solo or can be a topping of your favorite drinks.
This cafe is the mastermind behind the Wintermelon Milk Tea Soft-Serve, White Rabbit Soft-Serve and now their latest creation — Yakult Soft-Serve.
I got the Yakult Wintermelon Soft-Serve and fell in love with it. Not too sweet and sour just right combination.
I can still recall the days when Maginhawa started to create a buzz in the food scene. Since then, many restaurants bloomed like mushrooms in every corner of the street, offering different food choices to every goer. Today, Maginhawa is one of the top destinations in the Metro that’s already been established as a food haven.
Black Scoop has been dominating social media by making their White Rabbit & Yakult soft serves go viral! So I couldn’t help but go & try them.
For a café, they offer ALOT of things. From plated meals, to coffee, to milk tea, to desserts, and more – they have everything a student could possibly want during a study session. Though I have to say, the ambiance is quite loud and really warm, so I’m not so sure how people are able to study here. Haha.
I had the White Rabbit & Yakult soft serves. At first, you just taste plain vanilla, then after some time, you get a hint of Yakult as an aftertaste. I wasn’t able to taste the White Rabbit rendition at all, it tasted like Vanilla all through out. However, the soft serve was still really really good. The consistency was sooo great and really creamy. This would still be one of the best soft serves I’ve had because of how full & rich the ice cream was.
Will definitely be back to try the other soft serve creations & their milk tea!
Establishments along the famous Maginhawa Street in Teachers Village QC have come and gone throughout the years. There are some that are still there and have established themselves well and then there are those that are up and coming. Maginhawa will always be known for food places that create a lot of buzz and rave. And there is no lack of creative ideas from food entrepreneurs that will stir people around Metro Manila to trek up north just to check it what's up and what's new at this well-known foodie destination.
Milk Tea Ice Cream (Php 90) + Pearl (+ Php 20): 4/5
With the smooth, silky texture, rich milk tea taste combined with warm, chewy pearls and a piece of white chocolate wafer stick, you’ll be sure to fall in love with it. Definitely worth the try but I still think it’s a bit hyped.
Matcha Cream Cheese Milk Tea (Brown Sugar Series, 150 php): 3/5.
This tasted okay. It had a matcha taste but was lacking, and was rather overpowered by the mixture of milk, cream cheese and brown sugar. I’ll have to pass on this next time.
I’m also excited to try their Mascarpone Black Sundae! Heard it’s as good (or even better) than the milk tea flavor.
I’m surprised by how big this branch is. It can easily accommodate close to 70 or 80 pax and also has a 6-car parking area. During my visit, it was a full house mostly occupied by students having group studies & some self-studying. Better to arrive earlier to get a table esp. if you are in a big group. 👍🏽
Happy eating from Metro Manila 😋
Great ambiance. Good music. Accommodating servers. Delicious milk tea and chicken poppers. Found a new study place plus they have a parking space. And they have a lot of drinks and food too choose from. They have coffee, milk tea, ice cream and other meals and snacks. 💙
The milktea icecream is soo good let's you think twice in thinking what is more better between icecream and milktea 😂 the place is nice and cozy will definitely be back.
The ambience is very chill and kind of bougie. We tried the wintermelon milk tea drink and a milk tea ice cream with wintermelon syrup. They tasted great, on the same level with other milk tea places.
The baristas are really attentive. I've been here maybe 5 times already and it has been consistent. Food is a bit slow but I dont mind waiting because the nachos are huge in serving. My favorite is their milk tea. So far they have one of the best milk teas everrrrr.
THIS IS THE BEST BROWN SUGAR - LATTE INFUSED DRINK THAT I HAVE EVER TASTED. So far, this is the only brown sugar drink that offers my special need for coffee. I also like that the taste of the latte isn’t too powerful that it overcomes the sweetness of the brown sugar syrup. It’s a perfect balance between bitter and sweet. Black Scoop Cafe has a nice ambiance to it, offering long tables for study moments and at the same time, outdoor chairs for that loud “minsan lang nagkita” moments. Surely an awesome place to bring friends and catch up with each other!
A great alternative to the usual coffee place if what you're after is great drinks/snacks, white noise, and chill music. I've had their milk tea ice cream and their tea and so far, I'm impressed! I also love how they have mugs for us #planeteer types. Maybe next time I'll try their food, too!
Ambiance is great especially during weekdays when the store is not too crowded. Comfort room is clean and neat (which is very important for girls - thus I write this haha)
Coffee are at a reasonable price and super good! We tried Caramel Macchiato and also tried their iconic milktea ice cream - which tastes like real milktea but you enjoy it in the form on an ice cream.
MUST TRY for sweet lovers like me:
Black Mascarpone + Ferrero Sauce + Kitkat = 135 pesos
A fairly new cafe in Maginhawa area which serve awesome Sundae. I tried their Mascarpone Black sundae and it was really good. For just 90PHP it was a good deal. It was a bit like low end version of Cow cow .
For the place I like that it was spacious. Plus point for the power outlet everywhere and free wifi. Also got a 6 parking slot which is a good thing for maginhawa area.
My sister and I were looking for a place to chill around Maginhawa and we happen to find this place which looks so cool.
The interior of the place is so inviting and very well designed. The place is perfect for people who love to chill and hang out with friends. The only downside is that the place is quite noisy so I don't recommend it for people who want to study or work. As of now, they don't provide wifi and only accepts cash payment. But they said it will be provided in the future so that's good.
We had a hard time choosing what to order because everything looks so good. We were contemplating if would try their soft served ice cream but we decided to just order their pancakes and bbq flavored fries.
The pancakes were so good! So far, It was the best pancakes I have ever tried. It was so soft, creamy and fluffy, just the way we want it. Their serving is just enough for one. I have tried pancakes from IHOP, Pancake House, Dennys, and even McDonalds. Compared to those, this one is the best.
The bbq fries is good as well. I like that we were served newly cooked fries. What I really liked about this is that, even when the fries have cooled down, it still taste really good especially when you dip it in ketchup. Moreover, the servings are quite big.
Overall, I recommend you guys check their place. Next time we visit, I want to try their ice cream.
Drinks were okay, reasonably priced. Ambiance and aesthetics were also very nice. The only problem for me was that there is no designated smoking area. I was really debating with myself whether I should just go over to the milktea place nearby because they have a smoking area there.
Their wintermelon swirl is to die for!!!!!!!!!! Idc if it’s hype or what, but i really loved it. Tho their mascarpone tastes Eh. Will definitely go back and try their milk teas. Place is crowded during the weekends though.
Boyfriend and I went here to watch some of our travel videos we planned on editing.
Place: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One gorgeous big cafe in Maginhawa. So the downside is that it can get so noisy that sometimes I can’t hear what I’m watching despite the earphone and 200% volume. It is well lit and surely instagrammable. Also, there is no wi-fi here.
Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We just ordered milkteas and one pasta (P180). The spicy tuna pasta is good but kinda overpriced for me. I enjoyed their lychee fruit tea tho but boyfriend find the wintermelon milk tea not that good compared to other milk tea shops.
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The crews are helpful and friendly. The food didn’t take long to be served.
I think I’ll be coming back someday for their sundaes and whenever boyfriend and I just wanted to hangout and kill time.
I tried their wintermelon milktea (not that bad)
macadamia cookies (It was good) and of course their ice cream black mascarpone with toppings, and it tastes good. ☺️
I had a sundae cup classic with 1 topping (black mascarpone with choco fudge). And I was surprised it was not sweet though the topping is chocolate. My friend tried the milk tea swirl with pearl, also its a sundae which is also delicious. Place has a good ambiance. Will definitely come back here to try others.
We were so intrigued by their brown sugar milk tea as it looks so similar with the raved about tiger sugar in taipei so we went to maginhawa today to try it out. Large order was 120 pesos and on my first sip, I instantly tasted the brown sugar, it's like the arnibal in our taho. It wad good and blended well with the milk tea. There was no pudding or taho though. I think it would be nice if there's like taho or pudding as well in this drink. We plan to go back to try their ice creams next time.
Place was so chill and relaxing too. Perfect if you want to study, have a meeting or play some card games haha
Aside from the raved milk tea ice cream, their drinks are not too bad. I like that even their fruit teas are fully customizable despite it not being indicated (all you need to do is ask) try their fruit teas in either green or black tea. The cafe mocha is really good too.
🍦 Pearl Milk Tea Soft Serve
Whoever thought of making milk tea soft serve is a genius!!! Soft and creamy, just the right sweetness, qq pearls. Yum!!!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 stars
(btw the actual serving is far from their ads HAHAHA)
Follow @steffirooooeats on Instagram for honest reviews on food :)
The interior of this cafe is so nice and homey. We had the activated charcoal black mascarpone and the milktea softserve okinawa. The mascarpone was served in a black cone with strawberry syrup which sourness blended with the sweetness of the softserve. The milk tea softserve is your milktea drink in ice cream 💕
Price is leaning toward being pricey for it's portion, but taste-wise it is worth it. 😊
A chill place. I love their interiors and the smoking area. Their Beef Tapa is the exact taste that I’ve been looking for. I would like to try their coffee but I’m more intrigued by their Milk Tea Ice Cream. Ordered Cup Grande- inclusive of 1 topping (Carame) and 1 crunch (M&M’s) for Php120. Their staff were all courteous and attentive.
Great find!
Accommodating and friendly staff
Great interior design and music playlist that adds up to the overall ambiance of the place.
Great coffee within reasonable price!
We ordered the milk tea ice cream with wintermelon as toppings and white choco chips as crunch. It wasn't that much of a great combination since the choco chips, pearl, wintermelon syrup, and the milk tea ice cream itself were all sweet. Our bad on this one. We could've chosen a much better combination. It ended up tasting like taho. Hahahaha.
The ice cream alone was spot on. I just wish they had a cream cheese or salted cream as toppings to contrast the sweet taste of the milk tea. They have a cream cheese milk tea drinks tho. I'll be trying those out next time.
I also loved their interior. I have always been fond of interior designs of cafes and this one really stood out to me. From the furnitures, to the walls, ceilings, and lightings, everything was on point.
Will definitely come back for more!
We tried the Milk Tea with Okinawa and pearl toppings and also the Mascarpone ice cream. I liked the milk tea ice cream but for me, it can never top my favorite milk tea drink. Service crew was a little green. My friend’s orders came out earlier than my order even though he was behind me and one more lady when we fell in line. Oh well, it’s okay. They just opened so I can understand why.
