Great dining experience - from choosing the uncooked seafood/meats to having them cook it the way you want it, dampa (not only in Libis) is a must try for tourists!

Great Seafood Selection, they could improve their service. We ordered baked oysters, chili garlic crabs, tempura, grilled liempo, and calamari. Everything is good except the calamari.

Dampa sa Libis is a wet market with stalls that has variety of choices in seafoods, vegetables and even fruits. But it doesn't there. After you are done buying in the market, it's time to turn those seafood and vegetables in a delectable meal. And yes, they cook it for you. They are probably the most famous "paluto" restaurant in the Philippines and also one of the best to execute the concept. For an amount of 2000php with 3-5 persons, it's definitely going to be a feast. You can indulge in some buttered shrimps, crabs cooked in coconut milk, make the squid adobo or simply grill it. Sinigang, halabos, inihaw or any way you want it they serve it fresh and hot from the market down to the stove and into your tables. The staff are friendly and attentive too and the one in Libis has a very accessible smoking area.😂 perfect after meal session once you get yourself bloated. RECOMMENDED!

The restaurant looks like a huge old office pantry with the usual monoblock setting and all. But mind you, the food they are serving are great and exceeded my expectations!! They have a mini wet market at the back of the dining area for you to shop for seafoods and have it cooked afterwards. The tempura was served hot and fresh sooo every bite is heaven! Their fish fillet in sweet and sour sauce is just right, nothing special. Pansit has a lot of sahog so you'll not be easily fed up on eating. Please don't forget their chicken in special sauce.. the crispy skin coupled with tender chops is just scrumptious!! ❤❤❤ The staff is super accomodating, no need to request for a fam picture, they're the ones who will initiate the act.

Truly all seafoods are fresh. Great choices of "paluto" 😊 i love how they route each guest on the DIY market to the counter. Though need to improve on their upkeep.

I took my girlfriend who is a seafood lover like me to try the seafoods here as we are craving seafoods that day. Staff in the wet market is kind enough to assist us to make sure that were getting the fresh ones. I loved the butter garlic sauce prawns. Enjoyed so much the crabs! Service was fast. Nice staffs! All dishes were perfectly cooked as what we have requested it!

One more thing, their mango float is a must try!

Great experience picking my own ingredients - a wide selection of fresh seafood at cheap market prices. The staff in the wet market was lovely and made sure we get the freshest seafood. We took our market fresh seafood to be cooked in our choice of cooking style next door for a low price. Everything tasted amazing especially the butter garlic sauce prawns and crabs, and the oyster sauce clams. The restaurant side is not well presented but service was great. And if you still have room for desserts the Leche flan is a must try.

It's as straightforward and no nonsense as it is. This is what inspired my obsession to buttered garlic shrimps. Fresh seafood cooked and served without frills.

Our to go place when we get hungry from C5 traffic. There were only limited seafood though the last time we went here. Our favorite is the buttered prawns. Since there were a few fish in the market, we opted to have the squid. The way they cook the food, is still the same as years back. Fresh and delish!

Good place to eat if you want to get your money's worth for a big group of people. Got 4 big crabs, half a kilo of shrimp, a half kilo of scallops and 1/4 kilo of liempo for 1000. The seafood was fresh and cooked well and tasted great! I recommend their spicy crab! Crab was very meaty. Service could be better, but what do you expect, the place is so busy. Utensils not recommended.

Been here a while ago with my love. You'll get to choose what kind of seafoods and meat (no beef available) you want. Shrimps are not fresh so I suggest dont buy it unless if you're not looking for super fresh ones. Payment for the raw is seperate from the cooking price. I had fun eating though the waiting time is too long specially if you're really hungry. Best for groups.

I've been craving for seafood and my boyfriend brought me here. There's a wet market beside where you can buy seafoods. Be sure to keep an eye so that you'll have the correct kilograms. After that they'll give you a menu on how you like your seafoods to be cooked. Each meal cost 100 pesos per half kilo. We spend almost 1000pesos for our meals.

In regard of the food, all I can say is that I'm so satisfied that I think I prefer going here more than buffets. Their buttered shrimp and crabs are something you shouldn't miss here!

Okay. So I guess we were not just prepared. The food is okay but not the type that you'll probably say the F word for being so good. Well to be fair to Dampa, Dampa is equal to freshness. The seafood is indeed fresh. Cheap? I don't think so. A word of caution though: Come here with a big group so you get your money's worth.

This place is my usual go to place for when I crave for seafood. We either get the garlic buttered shrimps, Crab and shrimps in oyster sauce, liempo, or all three of them depending on how many of us visit the place. These are my three staple orders as the flavors are spot on and we always, always enjoy the food.

My mother and I were craving for seafood one time and instead of cooking it ourselves, we went straight to this place. I like the convenience of it wherein we just choose our food and have it cooked for us. Fuss free and definitely saves us from cleaning afterwards. I like the way they cook our garlic butter shrimps. The more sauce to it the better. And i like that we had a hand in picking our ingredients which ensures that we get all good sized shrimps too.

The chili crabs in this place is without a doubt one of the best I have ever tasted. The amount of rice that I get to eat is ridiculous. Their liempo is awesome as well. It is very meaty and flavorful.

I got their shrimps with butte garlic. This is by far the best one yet. The shrimps were really fat and sweet and the butter was oh so delicious. I swear this dish should probably belong in its own food group.

This is one of my favorite places to go to. I love their garlic butter shrimp. I would get like two kilos of shrimp and then a ton of rice and eat with a couple of friends and that’s it. A simple fare with oodles of flavor.

Been here last night to celebrate the advance birthday of my sister in law. Actually this is my first time to eat here at libis. The food here was great. Well done servings. The food was fresh and delicous. We ordered for yang chow fried rice, pancit bihon (the best pancit for me), liempo and fried shrimp. :)

Lots of seafoods to choose from and you will be the one to buy fresh seafoods on their market and they will cook it for you afterwards. So to all the seafood-lovers out there, go and try Dampa sa Libis to satisfy your cravings! :) happy eating! ;)

Took my family out to dinner on Father's Day. The crowd was insane. Lines were long and the wait time was more than an hour. Having said that, the food was worth the wait. 😊

What we got:
Buttered Shrimp
Sinigang na Hipon
Ginataang Alimango
Bam-I
Yang Chow Fried Rice
Spicy Grilled Pork
Hito
Ensalada
Mangga with bagoong

(I don't know how the hito was cooked and I'm sorry I don't have pictures of everything!)

If you've been to the Dampa in Macapagal, you will be disappointed with the seafood selection here but it was sufficient for me and my family. I came here really looking forward to eating Buttered Shrimp and I wasn't disappointed. It was really savory! Even the sinigang was a knockout. I didn't like the crab dish so much but it was alright. The pansit, we only had to order because we were so hungry and the food was taking too long, but it was yummy, so I had no regrets paying for it. While they have chicken, pork, and beef dishes, too, it's better to veer from those. Seafood is what they know. The grilled meat was plain but it wouldn't hurt if you want variety. I suggest not ordering fried rice. There was nothing wrong with it but if you really want to enjoy your seafood, stick with plain rice. 😂

It was a holiday when we got here that's why there were loads of people who dined, albeit expectedly. Try visiting during non-peak hours and on a weekday to cut down your wait time.

Seafood cravings, satisfied!!! Just got disappointed that market was already out of mussels. Sad, but I still enjoyed chili crabs, calamares, grilled liempo and buttered shrimps with may partner. We only spent 1k for everything and we went home full and we got to bring home our leftovers for our midnight snack! Really economical for a very yummy treat!

This is a place where you can satisfy your seafood cravings. They have a few stalls where you can buy seafoods and a fridge full of marinated pork and chicken for grilling. I went here with my officemates for dinner and a few bottles of beer. Food is okay but I can't say anything special with it. I loved the buttered shrimp and tempura.

I'm a fan of Dampa since the place is known for large gatherings which I usually attend. We recently visited Dampa Libis where they have common areas both air conditioned and al fresco but unlIke the one in Macapagal Ave where they have different restaurants that have VIP rooms for those closed door gatherings. I usually leave the marketplace to my wife since she knows what to order. The usuals would be grilled liempo and squid, buttered shrimp, fish sinigang, calamares and baked tahong all of which are priced reasonably. Since the place is packed during weekends I suggest you come in earlier than 11am for lunch or 6pm for supper. As usual, when visiting any Dampa resto, you have to expect a festive atmosphere where long tables and loud chatter are as common as several orders of extra rice. With that, comes a not so common, confusion on orders as well as the fight to get the waiters attention. If this is what you are looking for then welcome to the jungle paradise. Oh by the way, they have small desserts such as fruit salads, buko pandan and the one that I enjoyed the most, their leche flan.

Ordered the Grilled Liempo, shrimp cooked two ways Garlic Buttered Shrimp and Tempura, Calamares and Adobong Kangkong. Hits the spot when you are craving for seafood. Airconditioned room is cold and you dont come out smelling like food. Would come back for the Liempo alone, just with salt and pepper grilled to perfection. I like their purchasing process, buy food at the market, pay for the fresh ingredients, choose how you want it cooked. Someone picks up the cart you get a number. Proceed to dining area. Eat. Pay for the addtl orders and paluto. Good enough.

Since original dampa is so far away, we were glad that dampa sa libis came about, and my family has gone here on several occasions. Although lutong bahay food was really like home, they could improve on service. We were almost done with our meal when they served the ensaladang mangga, which we were expecting to come with the Inihaw na liempo since they're the perfect combination. We could use more vegetables for the sinigang.

Usually every Valentine's Day, boyfie and I would love to spend our Vday in Buffet. Our staple would be Spiral (because Spiral, is Spiral) or Heat because it's closer to our location. But then again, this time, I craved for Buttered Shrimp. The ones we had in Boracay back then. Boyfie wouldn't believe either that I am willing to choose that one over the buffets. Without further ado, we choose Dampa sa Libis since it's close to our location and we don't want to get stuck in Weekend Payday/Valentines Day traffic.

• THE PLACE

- The place can cater 700-800 pax. Nothing really fancy on this. They have an airconditioned room or you might prefer to stay outside for bigger space. We went there around 11 am and in less than an hour, the airconditioned room is packed!

• THE SERVICE

- No formal service since what you need to do is go to the wet market where you will weigh your desired seafoods + the service you will pay for the cooking. The cooking time of our foods was fast.

• THE FOOD AND PRICE
We had the following seafoods: 1/4 Tiger Prawn for Tempura, 1/4 Tiger Prawn for Sinigang, 1 Huge Crab for Szechuan, 1/2 of Suahe for Buttered Shrimp, 1/2 Baked Tahong, Garlic Rice, Fresh Buko and Leche flan all for less than 2000 pesos. (Paluto + Seafoods price combined)

Buttered Shrimp - We went gaga on this one. They didn't skimp on butter sauce plus the fresh suahe that we bought. Urgh!! This is one order that you shouldn't miss on Dampa!

Szechuan Crab - This a battle between the Buttered Shrimp for our number 1 spot. Both were equally good! The huge fat crab with lots of aligue plus the schechuan sauce. It's not too spicy that we really enjoyed!

Baked Tahong- Mussels topped with garlic and lots of melted cheese all for me! Since boyfie is not even a fan! Mwahah! A bit disappointed because there's no hint of butter on their version, but nevertheless, it's still good!

Tempura - This is okay. Don't expect the high level tempura style though. The batter was too thick for my liking. I can pass on this the next time.

Sinigang na Sugpo- It may not be too sour just like what we want it to be, but hey, you can't go wrong with sinigang na sugpo!

Leche Flan - I've read somewhere that you MUST try their leche flan. As in a MUST! Quite curious because it seems ordinary to me. A 1 whole lanera costs 110 pesos, and boy, it's the greatest leche flan I ever tried! It really melts in your mouth!!!!

• VERDICT
- This place is surely gives justice to your money. The food we ordered is good for 4-6. Hahah. But we had tons of takehome after. I just can't wait for pur next food trip here!!

Always our go to place when my mom is here in manila :) You know that most of the seafoods are fresh bec you are the one to pick them from their little wet market with different selections of fish, crabs, shimp and many more! My only complaint is what you pay for paluto, its kinda pricey, but other than that Its still a place to be when you want to have a taste of your favorite seafood.

Dampa sa Libis is one of our favorite places to dine at as a family. If we were craving for seafoods, Dampa sa Libis would be our automatic destination.

We love how Kusina ni Maria turn the stuff that we bought from the mini seafood market into scrumptous dishes. Dining there makes us forget about our diet.

Here are our all-time favorites:

Sinigang na prawns
Garlic butter prawns
Steamed or garlic butter crabs
Prawn tempura
Grilled liempo
Slices of green mango served with bagoong

A mountain of shrimp tempura on a large plate, a block of tuna sashimi, and mouth-watering salt and pepper crab all for around 1k. That's with a couple of beers. Forget about how spartan it is compared to other "artinsanal" seafood places; you want it fresh but cheap, then you've come to the right place. Bring a date with an appetite who loves getting her hands down and dirty. Better yet, bring her whole family.

from the market section straight to the frying pan, you can be sure that you'll be getting good food at the end of this whole dampa experience. i prefer going to this dampa since it's right along c5 and, every time i visit, everyone is super helpful, from those manning the market stalls to those that actually bring us our food. i like how service is faster compared to other dampas i've been to... i think it's because there are a lot of separate cook  stations to help out with the customer's food orders.

When I crave for seafood dishes and do not want to have to go through the trouble of cooking it myself, I often find myself here at Dampa Sa Libis. Besides the location being convenient for me as it is within the metro, the place is nice and clean, even the wet market where one chooses their seafood to be cooked. They also serve meat that are already marinated which is another added convenience. It is rather well organized and quick, from choosing the protein, to deciding what style of dish you want it to be, and to paying the cashier. There are several cooking stalls to choose from which makes things faster since anyone of them can cook the food and it will still turn up well cooked and delicious. This is actually a nice place to have great food with the barkada or family as it has nice long tables that can fit really large groups of people.

Dampa Sa Libis is located along C-5 and is one of the best places to fulfill that seafood craving. My family loves to go here whenever we have that "I just want good seafood!" feeling. They have ample parking and a small marketplace. We used to eat here years before and the place has not changed much. They used to have a wall with pictures of celebrities who have eaten here already.

In the dampa, there are different vendors and you just pick based on what type of seafood you feel like eating. We usually get half or a fourth of a kilo of different seafood like tahong, tilapia, crabs, shrimps, squid and others. Aside from seafood, there are rows of refrigerators containing marinated liempo and barbeque but usually people are after the seafood more. Afterwards you will proceed to the counter where you bring your purchased seafood and pick the dishes you want to have them cooked. There is a huge wall of the cost of cooking each dish. You will be asked to pay for the cost of the seafood you buy, plus the cost of the cooking. There are several "kitchens" you can choose from, and you can ask the suggestion of the cashier person, although for me the quality is the same and we usually don't notice the difference. You have a choice if you want to eat inside the airconditioned room, or outside (pretty much like a covered court) where there are a lot of tables and chairs and you can smell the aroma of food being cooked in the kitchens around. While waiting for your food, you can actually take a stroll around the tiangge very near.

We usually get buttered shrimps, fried fish and salt and pepper crab. Other times, we've tried calamares and baked mussels. You also order rice per cup, and you can eat the seafood with cubed Indian mangoes, onions and bagoong. It's really good and you can maximize the experience by eating with your bare hands! Despite the poor ambiance, every visit to Dampa sa Libis for me ensures a full stomach and satisfied seafood cravings! Try it, it's a totally different experience from the typical sit down, pick from the menu restaurants!

The best place to satisfy your seafood cravings. Fresh seafood which are very affordable since you won't be paying for ambiance here. You'll just choose whatever you want in their market then have it cooked. Their charge for paluto is very reasonable. Our favorite here is their chili crabs, unlike in other restaurants where you have to shell out thousands just for crabs, here you'll enjoy having crabs for less than a thousand. Other favorites are buttered shrimp, baked tahong and grilled liempo.
