I went here twice. With my wife and with my buddy. Both times were great. Penang Laksa was good! A bit different from the one I had in Penang but real close. Schechwan was also good. All noodles have big serving. The dumplings were awesome! Comes with sesame oil dipping.

Downside: since its always waiting, it is prone to customer line mix up. And outside is not exactly shade friendly. So staff should be a bit attentive. Those who are not familiar may not get served properly. And miss out on the whole experience.

This is my first choice whenever I am craving for ramen. They serve a big bowl of ramen for around 200 and up (depending on your customization). They also have the best and cheapest gyoza I've ever tried.

For the third time, I went here with friends on a Friday afternoon. Surprisingly, there was no line of customers waiting to get a table in this not-too-spacious establishment (don't be surprised if you'll encounter a line during busy hours!).

The noodle dishes are customizable. For my recent visit, I ordered a 3rd degree asam laksa base with egg noodles and pork (see photo). The taste of the laksa base was not as distinct as other actual asam laksa I had tried before, but the spiciness of my order may have caused this. The tender pork was a great addition to the dish. As a spicy food lover, I also found the 3rd degree spiciness slightly challenging to eat but it was a good eat nevertheless. The serving was large and the proportions of the toppings and noodles to the entire dish were sufficiently even for me. One bowl of the noodle dish was enough to make me feel full. Since this was my third visit, I can say I prefer a 2nd/3rd degree szechuan base with pork and wheat noodles.

Overall, the price of the noodles is justified by the big and tasty bowl of noodles. The restaurant environment is good for eating out with friends or individually but expect noise. My friend saw a small insect in her bowl but the staff promptly gave her another batch and did not ask her to pay. I personally did not mind because of the quick and honest service.

The selection is limited, but good. Their soya milk is great. The staff are friendly attentive. The place is small and there's a bit of waiting time (parking can also be a problem for those with vehicles), but it's worth it.

Despite the long wait, we braved the hunger with our bowls. I have eaten in Kapitolyo branch many times but this time it was all our first times in Maginhawa. I believe we enjoyed the company and also were filled by the warmest soups. I have always loved their unlimited soya which we did not order at the time but, I would love the beef to be a little more tastier. I hope it would be marinated. But over all, I have always enjoyed it here.

Caution Hot in Quezon City is my new favourite when it comes to noodles. I know they have been around Teacher’s Village for a while now but I got to try them out just recently. For less than 200 pesos, you get a filling bowl of delicious noodles. Add Kuchay Dumplings and you’ll pay around 280 pesos! Super sulit IMO!

Definitely going back!

I read about this restaurant months ago but we were able to try it just this month and we were so impressed by their food! The noodle is firm and the broth is so rich. One bowl can be shared by 2 people and the price is so reasonable. Their pork dumpling is as equally good too!

Beef Szechuan ftw!! Best post-drinking meal I’ve had in a while. I tried the level 1 spiciness and it has enough kick to make you sweat a little. The servings are huge and considering the price, it’s certainly more than worth it!

Had my order for take out so I didn't have to wait in line. My order was pork+szechuan+egg noodles in 3rd level of spicy. The serving was big! I shared it with my boyfriend and it was just enough for us both. Also tried their pork dumpling which is surprsingly good with their black vinegar. Fast service! Will definitely come back ❤

Came back here with some friends after a long time! My favorite still is the szechuan soup base with egg noodles and seafood, 2nd degree burn. Their wild card is their oolong milk tea! Instead of pearls, they use jelly as the sinkers! Really tasty and not too sweet! I sure hope they find a more spacious venue in the near future so a lot more people can be accommodated immediately.

Caution Hot serves great food at an affordable price. I ordered the classic broth with pork asado toppings while my husband ordered the szechuan broth with beef toppings. My husband had the spiciest level, and a quarter into his meal and he was already sweating. The egg noodles were perfectly cooked and the serving was good for two. We also ordered the pork dumplings which were served with black vinegar. Caution Hot is one of the best restaurants in Maginhawa. I wish they could find a way to get a bigger space because you need to prepare youself for a long line to get a seat in this place.

This has been my ultimate comfort food when I was still studying. My go-to order is seafood-szechuan-egg noodles and second degree burn. I really like their noodles but what always makes me return is their milk tea. It's pretty small and the lines are always long around peak hours but that doesn't stop me from coming back.

Perfect for rainy days! ❤️

Regular order is Beef Schezuan Egg Noodles 2nd degree. Spiciness can be adjusted a level up if you want more kick to it. Serving size is good for 2 person. Their pork kuchay is superb! Me and my friends finished 50 pcs in one seating 😂😂😂 Milk tea is good here too!

Wait time is around 30mins during peak hours because their place only has a few seats. Wish they could transfer to a more bigger place to cater more customers. 🙂

You have to be early lang if you want to dine here kasi you'll be in the waiting game since they have small seating capacity pero sulit ang paghihintay at 250 pesos mo for the noodles.
You can share sa isang order ng noodles since its big naman pwede for 2 but for me, good for 1 lang kong heavy eater ka like me. They're serving dumplings also and drinks.
My personal favorite talaga is their beef szechuan in egg noodles paired with soya milk. 👍🏻

Our go to Chinese spicy noodles simply because we can’t find any other place that serves spicy Chinese noodles. Always go with the maximum spiciness if you love spicy food like I do. The portion is huge and it’s best to share, but you’ll face a dilemma if your partner can’t handle spicy as much as you.

My all time favorite comfort food! ❤️ Just be patient since the line here is always long. Their place is really cramped it can only accommodate around 7 tables.

The noodles are affordable despite their big servings. Their Beef + Schezuan + Egg Noodles + level 2 spiciness is my number 1 choice. Goodluck na lang sa toilet kinabukasan. 😂 Love the dumplings too especially the kuchay pork.

Ordered their Laksa and was shocked to see this. Didn't know that there are different versions of laksa so suffice to say I wasn't able to satisfy my craving. It even had pineapples which I absolutely hate as an ingredient for savory dishes. That's just a personal preference though. I'd go back for their classic broth next time, which I enjoyed during my first visit.

Dumplings will always be a must-order for me -- delicious and super sulit because you get 10 pcs for Php 150.

This place knows how to give you value for your money!

I ordered the Szechuan Beef with Egg Noodles (2nd degree burn) and I was floored with how big the serving was! The meal is so full of flavor – I felt like it was a mix of both Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine (noodle soup + pho crossover). I was so happy!

The spice factor is amazing too. I only did the 2nd degree burn and I was sweating during the entire gastronomic frenzy! I was beyond full after finishing everything and I was so happy with the entire experience.

The only down side was that the place was warm, so when you sweat it gets uncomfortably hot. The servers also couldn’t seem to get our orders quick enough & I really felt a lot of “bad vibes” from them, haha. Maybe they were just having a bad day! :)

Overall, the price you pay for the flavor and serving is really worth it. If you’re in the Maginhawa area, don’t pass up on this place.

Caution Hot is my ultimate comfort food. Or it used to be, when I was still studying as an undergrad. The servings are very generous, the ingredients superb, the schezuan broth heavenly. My go-to order is Seafood Topping - Schezuan Broth - Egg Noodles - and 3rd/4th Degree Spiciness (depending on my mood). I love all of their toppings except for pork, which tasted a little funny. Haven't tried their Laksa noodles though. Their kuchay-pork dumplings are also delicious.

I only have two suggestions:

1) let customers add egg on their all-veggie topping
2) OPEN MORE BRANCHES PLEASE. If I could just beg them to open a branch near where I work now, I honestly would. I always crave their noodles and I never get satisfied from the ones in MOA. I hope they open even just a few more branches (esp. in MOA area hehe) @CautionHotManagement

A Review of CAUTION HOT Spicy Noodle House

Text by Margaret Asuncion
Photos by Mizi Asuncion

Can you still recall your most recent WJN moment? You ask. WJN? Yes. WHY JUST NOW! Why did it take you so long to finally try something? You read a lot. You travel often. You're somehow active in social media. But WHY JUST NOW?

Well Mizi and I had our most recent WJN moment when we visited CAUTION HOT Spicy Noodle House in Maginhawa one fine Sunday afternoon.

AMBIANCE / CLEANLINESS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Locating Caution Hot is a breeze. It's at the corner of Maginhawa and Magiting Streets. Right across a convenience store. Once you see it and enter its doors, you'll be left with one impression. BASIC. No frills. Minimalist interiors. The Condiments Section and Service Water are conveniently located in one side of the dining area. Wooden tables and chairs. Simple BUT Clean.

FOOD 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I intentionally rushed my review of the resto's ambiance and how it fared in terms of cleanliness because I want to go straight to what we were there for. FOOD! FOOD! FOOD and our WJN moment!

Choosing your feast is such a breeze. Just 4 easy steps! Remember the Code to Heaven. TBNB. Toppings. Broth. Noodles. BURN!
Step 1 Choose your toppings. All Veggie. Pork. Beef. Seafood.
Step 2 Choose your broth. Szechuan. Asam Laksa. Classic.
Step 3 Choose your noodles. Wheat. Egg.
Step 4 Choose your burn. 1st Degree. 2nd Degree. 3rd Degree. Ultimate Burn.

Pretty neat right? With the first 3 steps being clearly self-explanatory in the menu board, let's focus on the BURN peeps!

1st Degree Burn is for the Basic Noodle Lovers. This is for Aunts & Grannies who want to sip their steaming hot soup just like the old times. Would also do well for tots in tow.

Next would be the 2nd Degree. Kinda hot. Not really hot. Moms and Dads will find this level pretty tolerable. Even "bunso" will find it appealing.

Oh and it's getting hotter! The adventurous in you will go for the 3rd Degree. And why not! You being a risk-taker will not settle for just so-so. Without batting an eyelash, the ULTIMATE BURN it is!

And our choices would speak a lot about us. I had the BEEF SZECHUAN EGG NOODLES - 3rd DEGREE. Mizi? Your guess? Yes she opted for the PORK (ASADO) SZECHUAN WHEAT NOODLES - ULTIMATE BURN! Whoooah! We dared. Moved forward and never came back! This for us, is one of our best noodle moments!

You know what's so good about Caution Hot's Noodle Soup? Whenever we have Hot Noodle Soups, they're spicy and nothing else. This is where Caution Hot stands out. Theirs is hot yet still very flavorful. Meat Toppings are tasty and fork-tender. Veggies are fresh.

And what goes best with these noodle wonders? What else but one, if not the best Steamed PORK or PORK KUCHAY DUMPLINGS in this side of the food universe. And you dip it in their Black Vinegar and Chili Sauce combi and be prepared to be transported to seventh heaven! (Drooling while typing! 🤤🤤🤤)

Caution Hot's SOYA or OOLONG MILK TEA will be your greatest refreshment buddies ever. Non-negotiable! Creamy and tastes super authentic! Gearing towards some serious thirst-quenching? Go for Unlimited!

For dessert, we were served BAO BING. Shaved ice dessert with fig and grass jelly, fruits and condensed milk topped with vanilla ice cream. The Chinese' take of the Filipino Halo-Halo. Amazing!

CUSTOMER SERVICE 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great Food + Excellent Customer Service = AWESOME DINING EXPERIENCE. Caution Hot's crew are very accommodating and attentive. Service is fast. Their smiles are genuine and they look happy at what they do.
Kudos to all of you! Special mention to our host Leah who made sure all our questions were answered and our needs attended to.

PRICE 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Caution Hot is a proof that Great Food need not be expensive. Their most expensive bowl is pegged at just slightly over P200 and servings are HUGE and will surely be good for sharing! (Unless you're like me and you become greedy with yours and finish it off yourself!) Dumplings at about P10 each! Such a steal!

MAMITA'S WISHLIST
Can't think much. I love Caution Hot the way it is. More dimsum choices maybe. Like a fried variant of their dumplings. Or adding a CHICKEN Topping perhaps.

MAMITA'S VERDICT 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
About to finish my review but still am savoring our WJN moment at Caution Hot. Can't wait to come back for more! Mamita does not recommend coming over to Caution Hot for a noodle quick fix. You visit Caution Hot for serious eats. You visit Caution Hot to satiate your noodle cravings! Period.

Simple, comfort food. I had the Tom Yum soup with seafood and wheat noodles. My companion had the vegetarian option with the egg noodles. The soup was tolerably hot at level 1 and the noodles were chewy, just the way I like them. Wish they could also make a non-spicy variant so I can bring people who can't tolerate spicy food. A good pick-me-up after a run at UP.

The place was small so expect to wait in line, but then service is fast for ramen orders so the turn over of tables is fast too. Estimate of 20 to 30 mins waiting time.

classic pork egg noodles - good for basic but u find the pork based soup was a bit on the umami side
szechuan level 2 spice with whest noodles - not spicy at all for me, i love my spice and was expecting a bit burn already since its szechuan based but the spiciness was on a mild level for me should have go for level 3 or burn to really feel it. Though i love the wheat noodles, a bit of bite into it just the way i like it
Pork dumplings - nothing special but i like the wrapper doesnt break easily so the meat doest fall off though the black vinegar seems a bit bland and needs more ginger
Soya milk - good glass of soya
Hokkaido milk tea - authentic flavor plus for this worth the price

Over all we enjoyed it, the dumpling just took forever, even though we already advance our order about 5 mins before we got seated.

Would go back for the noodles and try the burn level next time. But probably just have it to go.

My boyfriend always craves their noodles and loves to try every degree of spicy. And it's enough serving for two. I love their Kuchay dumplings in sweet burn sauce and I always ask them to put the dumplings in the sauce so it's soaked. LOVE IT. Also the milk tea is good! THIS IS NOT A RAMEN PLACE.

If you're craving for a bowl of hot noodle soup with a Chinese/Szechuan twist, this is the place for you. Just prepare your legs for the long lines because this resto is always packed during its peak hours.

I ordered Pork asado+szechuan+egg noodles+ULTIMATE BURN. It was gooooood!!! I finished everything haha It might be possible for you to take a detour to the CR later or tomorrow, but it was fun.

To cool the spice, you may opt to get their unli soy milk for a cheap price.

Caution Hot! is one of my favorite noodle places because they are really gooood. Plus, a special thing about this restaurant you can combine the type of noodles with the meat (beef, seafood, pork) plus the broth.

We tried what was in their menu: the HOT COMBINATIONS.

Beef - Szechuan - Egg noodles
Seafood - Asam Laksa - Wheat noodles
Pork - Classic - Egg / Wheat noodles

What we loved more about these noodles is that every bowl is a big serving! If you don’t have that much of a big appetite, you can share it with another friend for sure! Plus, the broth itself is sooo tasty and delicious! Oh, did I mention you can upgrade the spiciness of the broth from 1st degree burn to ultimate burn!

We also tried the pork dumplings and they were sooo good as well!

All in all, I love this place! I only gave 4 stars because the place is not so spacious that sometimes you have to line up. But food-wise, I love Caution Hot!

When they say hot, they mean hot. Prepare yourself for a delicious bowl or noodles that will make you pant and sweat--or at least order a milk tea. Even if you get mild spice, like me. Hehe.
The place always seems to be packed and with a line out the door, even on a weekday afternoon. I think it's quite justified as the seafood asam laksa I had was delicious! Milk tea was so-so though and I wish they hadn't popped a straw in the glass.
I just knocked a star off coz I noticed the broth to noodle proportion was quite stark. And also since I have yet to sample the other dishes.

My go-to restaurant in Maginhawa. They have a generous serving for the price, and the quality of the food won't fail you, either. The lines usually get long during lunch and dinnertime, but it's definitely worth the wait. I order my usual all-veggie schezwan wheat noodles, 3rd degree burn. I'll never get tired of their food. :) I personally wouldn't recommend their ultimate burn, though. I'm a fan of spicy food, but this one just tastes like oil. 😂 get the 3rd degree!

(4.5/5) This place will always be a crowd-pleaser. Especially enjoy their Asam Laksa Noodles in Seafood and Wheat Noodles (PHP220). You are fed with a big bowl of nicely textured noodles ans generous toppings. Go also for their Kutchay Dumplings (PHP120). And if you happen to get a really spicy dish, having the unli soy milk (PHP70) is always a good idea!

Move to a bigger place to lessen the queues and this will be a full-on 5 stars!

If you're a fan of spicy food, then this is the place to be. They offer affordable ramen dishes that are flavorful and undeniably good. It also comes in big servings. A few things though:

* The lines can be long (especially during the dining hours) so I highly suggest that you come in early. The space is also small and can get cramped during busy hours.

* If you're a fan of the thick Japanese ramen broths, I'm not sure this would be for you. Their base are actually quite light but still flavorful.

* If you're not a fan of spicy food, do not get the Laksa as the level 1 is already spicy in itself and can be overwhelming for someone who does not like too much heat. I suggest that you get the classic broth instead.

* If you're vegetarian, you can get the all veggie topping, and they'll also take out the egg if you want to. :)

All in all, I'd definitely dine in again (but would definitely go during the off-peak hours)

Braving the rain was so worth it!

We had the classic pork wheat noodles and the beef schezuan egg noodles. The serving was enough for two to three persons (if you don't have a big appetite). The flavor is of the perfect mix and blend.

We also had their Kuchay Dumplings which resembled Binondo's Dong Bei, it was so yummy!

The price is very reasonable for its taste and portions. The place in Magiting is quite small and is definitely an opportunity but this will not hinder me from giving this very good store a 5 for the quality of food they produce. Will definitely go back here.😊

Bf and I have been coming back here for almost 3 years now! expect a long queue as the store's space isn't enough to accommodate people dining here at a time. Though, for a usual customer, it's fine, it's part of the Caution Hot! experience. I guess it's what you call marketing strategy. Produce a lineup and people would start to wonder. ^_^The serving of one bowl can suffice two tummies (if not so hungry) but if you haven't eaten anything yet for the entire day, you may consume the entire serving (myself speaking). Gyoza is staple, too. and Bingsu.

Big servings at an affordable price. Just try 1st degree if you're not into spicy food. My default order is always Beef-Szechuan-Egg Noodles. Order Kutchay Pork Dumplings and Bao Bing, they're really good too.

One word to describe this place, SULIT. It was my first time to visit the place after weeks of planning to go there. And it was worth it. The noodles is excellent and the serving, for its price is very satisfactory. I ordered pork with wheat noodles in szechuan broth (3rd degree burn) and super sulit niya, I was with my friend that time and he ordered the all veggie one (2nd degree burn lang, weak eh lol). And we should have shared nalang kasi one serving is enough for 2-3 people, thats how sulit one serving is, mabubusog ka talaga. The best time to go there, in my opinion, is between 1PM-4PM kasi after that time expect a long queue of people lining up in front of the noodle house.

I love their noodles! Tried classic broth and laksa (in the picture) and it always amazes me every time! Big servings that can be shared by two! Love the noodles, and I love the kutchay-pork dumplings!

I would give this a five if it were not for the long lines. Please understand that their place is only small so if you are going for dinner here, you would wait in line to be seated. Tip: best time to go is on a weekday and around 4-5pm to avoid waiting in line. But aside from this, everything's 5 stars!

Mom also loves their wintermelon milk tea so give it a try! They also serve soy milk for those who like this. They also have TsingTao beer here, a big bottle, for those who want beer with their massive amount of serving!

Two words. Long line! Caution Hot! is a small noodle house in a corner of Maginhawa st. We decided to try here since it’s “dinadayo” and people are patiently waiting to line up outside just to get their seats. Create your own noodles, soup and garnish for less than 250 pesos. We ordered pork szechuan egg and wheat noodles. This is the safest combo to order if you’re not into spicy! They have big servings that I didn’t finished mine. Good value for the money. 👍🏻

10/10 yung pag kain dito! Babalik balikan mo talaga. 😅 Seafood - Szechuan - Egg noodle best combi! Must try din yung kuchay dumpling nila!

This is our go to place whenever we crave for soup. As seen in their menu they only have a few items but you'll definitely keep coming back because you'll have that favorite combination at a worthy price. Mine is beef schezuan egg noodles :) my boyfriebnd's, seafood classic egg noodles :)

Just to warn you they dont accept reservations so get there, list your name then come back in an hour because its always a long line during dinner time.

Been here a few times (more than 5, I think)
Everytime we’re looking for restos to eat in Maginhawa, Caution Hot has always been at the top of my list. The noodles are so good esp the broth. Their dumplings and sauce choices are also one of the many reasons why I always come back. The only problem is that the store is too small for all their customers. If you don’t want to wait for a few minutes or for 1 hour, you should eat here during lunch 😉👌🏻👌🏻

Caution when you eat at Caution Hot! 'coz it might be addicting.

This place is a great find when you find yourself in this neighborhood. It was just calling me when I passed by there even though I passed by other restaurants from where I parked Caution Hot! just gave a gut feeling that I gotta explore this place.

The price per noodle bowl was unbelievably cheap. It was big enough to be shared between two people.

We got the Szechuan beef with egg noodle with 1st degree burn (the lowest among the heat index). You could get a vegetable or seafood and wheat noodle (which look thick and heavy).

The dumplings of kutchai and pork is worth trying too (5 pieces Php65)

Then there's the story of UNLIMITED soy milk. Great drink when you're sweating from all those noodle goodness heat.

Seating is limited and parking is a challenge but this place makes me want to be near the area if I can.

This is one of the places i go to when i crave for... dessert! Haha. The ramen is good - very clean taste and the kuchay dumplings are delicious. But what i most of the time crave for is their bao bing shaved ice dessert. The ice cream topping is just yum!

You definitely get what you pay for. There is nothing special in their noodles. The dumplings are quite salty for me. The place is too small to handle all of their customers. You will have to queue for 30 minutes or more if you have no prior reservation.

Caution Hot is a noodle house located right next to StrEAT Food Park in Maginhawa. The place itself looks a bit small but can probably fit up to 25* (edit) people at one time.

It's known for it's somewhat DIY noodles where you choose your toppings, broth, noodle and level of spiciness. It was the first time there for me and my friends so we tried out our own random mix.

Noodle Soup
We got Taiwanese beef (P205) as the topping of a classic broth with egg noodles and a 1st degree burn, meaning not spicy. It came out looking like mami noodles and even tasted a bit like it. For the price, I think it was just okay but could've had more toppings in ratio with the soup.

Kuchay-Pork Dumplings (P65 /5pcs)
It had more Kuchay than pork in them but were a pretty good size and came with a soy sauce.

Pork Dumplings (P80/5pcs)
Classic dim sum, it came with two sauce choices. One being a black vinegar and chili sauce. They were pretty big considering the price and could be quite filling.

Oolong Milk Tea (P75)
Refreshing and not too sweet, the menu said it had wintermelon syrup, which I only got a little hint of. Also had grass jelly in it which was nice.

Overall, a rather simple but satisfactory kind of restaurant. Would come back to try their recommended noodle combinations and perhaps see how spicy their szechuan broth can get.
