This place will be on our go-to late night dining list. It's quite hidden but right off Tomas Morato and the parking is easy. We ordered a variety of foods to share and they served it in a timely manner. The only small draw back we had was that they have a wood oven for their pizzas, BUT the dough is very unauthentic, and a bit sweet. I just wish they had made a proper dough for their pizzas. But will def come back for the other dishes, very delicious.
Went on a date here on Christmas Eve so the night wasn’t as packed, which I preferred.
Great staff, great food! Drinks were good as well. This is a good place for a first or second date if you guys prefer a more intimate setting. 10/10 would come back either alone or with that guy again. But all my relationships have only lasted 2 months so... we never know.
5 stars for their spinach pizza! This is also a nice date place with a rustic feel to it as it’s been in the neighborhood for quite a long time.

Overall: 4.2
Food: We ordered baked oyster, oil based pasta with seafood (i dunno whats its called) tomato based hand tossed pasta with shrimp (i dunno what its called too) lol. Its my first time trying oyster and Im super thrilled. My only concern is that the scallop on the oil based pasta and the hand tossed pasta itself is a little overcooked. They offer a wide variety of Italian-American dishes.
Service: Service is pretty good.
Ambience: Fine Dining with a romantic vibe. The place is a little dim. Perfect for date nights. Just remember to dress nice. And, flip flops are not allowed inside.
Price: Kinda pricey. A meal for two (woth my kind of appetite) would cost P2000 to 2500. Good thing they take cards. 😂
Accesibility and hours: Place is open from 11am to 2am. They have their own parking space. We had a hard time looking for the place, it doesnt have a frraking sign! lol. It just look like a cozy and nicely lit house from the outside.
Will I eat here again? Yes. I will try their other dishes next time.
Must try: Baked oyster
We dined here yesterday because we really crave for oysters. My boyfriend said that the oysters here is the best. I'm not a fan of rockefeller oysters but damn! It was so delicious! And ofcourse we ordered fresh oysters too! That was the freshest I ever had. We will come back again for a date! ❤💕
We have been patrons of this restaurant for over two decades. I have been going here with my parents since forever. The food is great. Still one of my favorites. Ambience is great for dates too. Not that dark, but quite cosy and romantic.
Waiters are nice and courteous. There is two parking spaces, one in front and a bigger one at the back, but its almost always full, so better ring for reservation.
The quintessential "date night" restaurant. ATOLA offers a wide range of international dishes and fine wines. Love all their Pizza and Prichon wraps. Servers were attentive although oftentimes not friendly. The ambiance is romantic. Foods are expensive. Will keep on coming back still.
I’ve always labeled the Quezon City crowd as more laid back and relaxed compared to Makati and BGC residents. This chill bar in Tomas Morato exemplifies my point. The ambiance here is solemn, a fitting place to calm down after a long day at work.
Together with a friend, we shared a glass of wine each and shared a plate of their garlicky Gambas. A Taste of L.A. offers more Spanish actually than American dishes.
Have you been here? This spot has been around for years!
Nostalgic! The last time I dined here with my family was in my highschool days - that was waaay back 2002 (please, no counting of age LOL). I was surprised that the place didn’t change a bit! The paintings and interior are still the same as I remember. Of course, the food tasted great as usual. My partner and I had Caesar salad, Lechon Pugon, and US Beef Salpicao.
Caesar Salad - the anchovies overpowered the caesar dressing, hence the saltiness but it was still good, though.
Lechon Pugon - super yummy!! The lechon meat is very soft and easy to chew and the skin, as you bite it, crackles in your mouth. Gaaaaahd!
US Beef Salpicao - sooo good! The beef was tender and very tasty you can really taste the flavor of marination in the beef.
As for the service, the servers handled everything in order as they were not busy because of the not-so-good weather last night. Food was served in perfect condition and we didn’t wait that long. I just hope next time they will inform their guests about the complimentary bread and butter - since I already dined here before, I asked if they still serve bread while waiting hehe.
Overall, I must say that my partner and I had the best time and we enjoyed the food and ambiance - my partner told me that the place was too dark. I guess he’s just being a Tito so let’s not mind him Lol 😂
Came with a group of 14
Soups and salads came of within 30 min
Main Orders came out after an hour and 10 to 15 min
The fish was good tuna and blue marlin
Pizza good
Soup good
Pasta not good
Steaks not good and rubbery hard
Great place and ambiance! Food is excellent and service is superb!😁 Loved their pizza and oysters!!! Will be back for more...a lot more dishes to try. 😉
i liked this place...a little bit pricey but worth it. the Beef salpicao is really tasty (even the garlic tasted good.. and to think i dont like garlic), the cheese pizza with anchovies is also yummy although if you bite on to a slice with all the anchovies then its very salty. the anchovies were not evely distributed so some slices only had a few and some a chunk...i didnt mind though because i love cheese and i like anchovies. the french onion soup was served last because they were still baking it according to the waiter. the soup was just okay...too sweet for my taste.
parking is limited but you can double park inside if there is still space. the place is big and has some small areas that can hold semi private events or dinner.
i will definitely go back to this place again.

Over-all experience is 5/5 #tasteofLA
went here last december with my family to celebrate my sister's birthday. love the rockerfeller oysters and the carbonara, kare kare could be made better. overall ambiance is pretty dope
What I like:
Love the ambiance; perfect for date nights
Yummy food at very affordable price
Place is not crowded
Love the old house theme
Staff are nice too
What I don’t like:
None!!
I’ve been going to this place for 20 years. Made memories here, mostly with friends and closer friends. So that, in itself, shows that this restaurant is a keeper.
It also means I’ve seen how the place and food changed. To be blunt, the place needs to be renovated. Or they want to keep to the time-period theme of the 90s, then they should at least refurbish or polish it— especially the bathroom.
The food remains to be great. That’s why I come back again and again. Price is slightly expensive but worth it. The brick-oven baked pizzas are not usual in this area of T.Morato and they’re soft, fresh and delicious. All other dishes are just great.
But one of the sought-after desserts in this area is Taste of LA’s blueberry cheesecake. The thing is, it’s not consistently available. You actually don’t know if it’s available until you ask.
At night, this is one of the few places in T.Morato where you can have cozy dinner and drinks with friends and a quite, intimate date with a close one.
Wifi: don’t think they have it and it’s a place where there shouldn’t be one.
Smoking : yes at the parking near the fountain.
I just tagged along with my sister and her friends. The place has really good and romantic ambiance—candlelight and silhouette. It's also perfect for small meetings or mini reunion because the place is really comfy. Food and service are superb! The price is a bit pricey though but it's really worth it! Even saw Paulo Avelino and Sharon Cuneta.
Romantic dinner set in an old house in the middle of the metro...
My fiancé surprised me with dinner at A Taste of LA, which is practically an institution in QC. It's a good date place right smack in the middle of Morato. Tip: make reservations! Very important...
We were led to the second floor, which was dimly lit-- perfect for an intimate dinner... We shared the two-cheese fondue, which was very heavy on it's own. This dish is a must when you visit this restaurant-- other than being a sensuous experience, it really just tastes great! Great with red wine, trust me.
For our mains, I had the rib eye salpicao rice-- one of my favorites here... Tender beef cubes with lots of garlic-- this is a bit spicy which made the dish really perfect for me. My fiance had the Prawns Thermidore-- baked prawns with a cheese and mushroom crust... He really enjoyed this dish. It's technically impressive because it's pretty easy to overbake the delicate prawns and they just cooked it really well... The food was excellent and very filling... I ended the evening with the mocha macchiato, not their strong suit for me...
We enjoyed our candlelit dinner with wine and simple conversation. Service was okay, I didn't find the waiters that helpful tbh. The place is a little pricey, good for special occasions...
Btw, other dish recommendations would be the baked oysters and their pizzas-- makings of a heady evening indeed!
Been here for countless times but still the place to be for a good chill and drinking night with friends.
The pritson is so0o good that you'll forget how much fat you've consumed because it's super crispy and crackling. You just need to eat it the soonest, doesn't taste the same after 15 minutes. ☺️

They serve one of the best pizzas in town! Thin crust with quality toppings cooked perfectly right! Ambience is very inviting as well. Accommodating staff. Best for dates and intimate dinners. I love Taste of L. A!

Great food, service and ambiance! We loved their rockefellah (just the right bite of cheese) and asian salad (great mix of greens, crispy noodles, chicken and zesty dressing). Their sisig was flavorful and their prawns thermidor was tender and savory. They served the food at the right pacing and were always providing us with condiments and drinks. The place had a romantic feel, perfect for a date night.
Dinner with the Fambam 💕
Food was good! 👌🏻 I love their Rockefellah ❤️
And Their staff is attentive and accommodating. 👍🏻
We ordered:
• Calamaretti d' Orati
(tender baby squid with a delicate crisp coating)
•Buffalo Chicken Wings
(w/celery, carrot sticks and blue cheese)
• U.S Beef Salpicao
(u.s rib eye steak cubes, olive oil, garlic and chili)
• 2 orders of Not-So-Rockefellah
(creamed spinach, bacon and cheese)
• Pansit Molo
(shrimp and pork dumplings in savory chicken broth) 👉🏻
• The Best Oxtail Kare-kare

Everything we ordered were amazing!
Ambiance - very romantic. Perfect for date night.
Service - waiters were very attentive
Parking - a lot of spaces available
Now the food:
Spinach Pizza with Smoked Bacon 🍕- this was my favorite! It was cheesy and velvety. Everything was well-balanced because it did not have a lot of toppings. You could really taste the spinach with cheese and bacon. Perfect with freshly cracked pepper 👌🏻
Salpicao Rice 🐄- the beef was so tender and flavorful. Tasted a bit like Bistek Tagalog because of the hint of calamansi but with more garlic.
Spaghetti with Italian Sausage 🍝- a marinara based pasta with basil. Enjoyed this pasta too! You could taste fennel seeds inside the sausage ❤️
House Wine 🍷- just ok
I am definitely going back to try the steak or the rack of ribs 😬 I highly recommend this place. Wish they had a better bar list though 😝
This place made our 1st Anniversary definitely special! My boyfriend was so happy that I chose this place. Candles everywhere which makes it really romantic. They have very nice food and perfect place for every occasion. We ordered Baby Back Ribs, Pasta Marenese and Spinach Pizza. Everything was so perfect specially the pizza. It was kinda small compared to other pizzas in that price range, but I assure you that every penny was worth it. I also admire the servers for being really attentive and friendly. and I can't wait to go back here and try their other food. ❤

Good food. We had the Not-So-Rockefellah Oysters, lechon pugon, and the garlic lamb pizza. We loved the oysters and pizza, definitely worth the price. The lechon pugon was also good, but the serving is small for the price. The place is very romantic, good for dates.
This restaurant is for those who would like to have an intimate dinner. Perfect for date nights. The rockefeller oyster was to die for. It was loaded with lots of cheese and was so creamy and fresh. They also have wine to pair up with your mains. Downside was that the place was quite too dark. I had a hard time checking out their menu and had to use my phone's flash.
During one of our site visits with a client, this restaurant came highly recommended. We dined here during lunch and ordered their oysters rockefeller, sisig and kare kare. The kare kare was special in terms of the huge serving and how it tasted. the sisig and oysters were just okay. What I think really makes Taste of LA stand out is probably the ambiance. The combination of the accented wood interiors of the restaurant, comfortable couches and the background music makes this the perfect dating place in Tomas Morato. The servers were great and attentive too! Will dine here again if the opporunity presents
A Taste of L.A. is perfectly situated in the heart of Tomas Morato food strip. Perfect for dates with your special someone. Tried their seafood pasta. Best I ever tasted. The pizza is great too. Will try ribs/steak next time. The candlelight setting might be a little too dark for some.

Great food that will drill a hole in your pocket. That's what I felt after we tried this place.
We wanted a romantic place that is within the QC vicinity so I won't have to be too far from work so we chose this. To be honest, we don't mind the price, the food was delicious. But if they could add to the serving, I would have given them a perfect 5.
The restaurant would take you back to the 80s. Dark wooden floors, ceilings, old rich kind of fancy. The glass overlooking garden was nice touch.
For appetizer, we ordered the PAN GRILLED SAUSAGES. It tasted yummy. But I was hoping for sausages, not 1 sausage cut into several pieces.
Next in line, SPINACH PIZZA WITH BACON. Now that was money well spent. Very cheesy and generous bacon toppings! Yum!
We couldnt help but order the LECHON PUGON. This is one of their best sellers. Again, this was extremely delicious. The liver sauce was really good! But I couldn't help but complain on the serving size, again.
For our main course we got the US RIBEYE as recommended by our very nice server, Ross. Really yummy tasting rice topped with beef cubes cooked so well. It was juicy and tasty with the right amount of fat. Two thumbs up!
I guess out of all we ordered, my only disappointment was the GRILLED BUTTERFLIED PRAWNS. It was basically medium sized grilled suahe with a small portion of mashed potato.
We ordered ice blended fruit shakes - strawberry and dalandan. They tasted so fresh and good! I'd recommend it too!
I probably won't come back soon unless we are to celebrate yet another special occasion. But if you have a deep pocket, if you want a quiet place in the Scout area with great food, I say go!!!
Went here and had our anniversary dinner and the place was a 10 for me
A taste of L.A. Is a great place where you could relax, enjoy ur beer or wine with your significant other. Or enjoy some quiet time with your bffs too. Here we love the pizza, be it the "Just Cheese" pizza or the spinach pizza with bacon. Both are delicious pugon baked! Also try their salmon belly fries.
The place is defenitley old, a little bit musky, and dark; but a nice venue for a private dinner for 2 or a small group. The background noise isn't that bad and you can perfectly hear each other compared to most restaurants today. I just wonder how the place would look like if their lights are brighter (guess they need to look into some interior details already).
My favorite set is comprised of the caesar salad, clam chowder soup, a thin crust spinach pizza and seafood pasta. Their pizzas are baked in wood fire brick oven and prepared either ultra thin or medium thin. Though they already have a suggested thickness on their menu, my advise is to have the crust medium thin for the cheesy variaties. Baked oysters are also available on the rocks, with maggiore cheese, and roasted with vinegar. Really good.
Other dishes that deserves attention are the chicken wings, gambas, lechon pugo, their Angus beef steak, and lamb chops. However, these particular dishes are also offered by other establishments at a pretty lower price and even better quality.
Lastly, I'm a wine critic and I prefer wine tasting privately over good conversation, tapas, olives, and cheese... than to spend for it outside. I'm also particular with decanting and storing opened wines. Something they may not be aware of. But their Cabernet Sauv is good but understandably not great.
Our taste changes as we get older. That's a way of life that applies not only with food. I'm not a regular of the place (3/yr for the past 4 yrs) but I'm still assumingly younger than the regulars here. However, inspite of the flaws, I still love the place. It's romantic.

I heard a lot of great things about A Taste of L.A. (Or L.A. Café as some people called it).
We arrived without reservation, but that was ok since the place was not really packed. We tried their baked oysters, their pizza with a bunch of cheese, and their chicken wings. I also got their mango juice which was excellent.
Everything tasted above average, and showed that they really knew what they were doing. It was a worthwhile experience for me. :)
The food was excellent! My boyfriend and I went here for lunch, but if you want to maximize the experience, I think it's better if you go during dinner time. We ordered Grilled Chicken 'hotel de paris' + Garlic Rice & Barbecued Tuna Belly + Mashed Potato and both were really delicious 2 thumbs up! As for the service, I was expecting more of a fine dining experience and for waiters to be more attentive. Hence, we'll definitely go back :)

I went here for lunch. I like that it is a quiet place. Wondering if theres ample parking at night. Anyway, i ordered Rockefeller oyster and was surprised at how good they made it. The baby backribs was lovely with the right amount of saltness in it. Would definitely go back for the ambience and for the food 😄
Romantic ambiance, really good food. We ordered the barbecued chicken pizza, spaghetti marenese and the lazy beef fondue. Surprisingly the best barbecued chicken pizza i've tasted. The pasta just had enough spice, the seafoods were cooked just right and not rubbery. Loved the beef fondue, we ordered it medium rare and the dips were really delicious. Totally worth every penny.
Can I just say this is our favorite romantic date restaurant (and even just casual dinner dates) ever??
Seriously, I am in love with this place. The ambience is very romantic and cozy. The place is an old house converted to a restaurant. The place is a bit dark but well lighted with candles but it's a good thing though as it makes the whole place more romantic!
Now enough with the ambience and off to the most important part of the review. The food.
Well honestly I cannot really help that much with the food review on their menu as we always almost order the same stuff every single time.
We always order the oysters rockefellah. And this is our most favorite dish! No oysters, baked or not, has ever come close. LA cafe's baked oyster rockefellah is the number 1 pound per pound!
Now onto the soups, we usually order New England clam chowder, pumpkin soup, or spinach soup. All are very good choices. But if I were to choose, I'd choose the pumpkin or spinach soup as the clam chowder might be a bit heavy.
For the salads, apart from the usual Caesar salad try the Asian salad or the Mondavi lamb salad. The Asian salad has grilled chicken breast, crispy noodles, mixed veggies and Asian dressing. This is a bit heavy salad and more than enough for 3-4 people to share. The Mondavi lamb salad consists of roasted lamb seasoned with thyme, mixed greens and vinaigrette and it is very delicious. I particularly like this salad better than the Asian salad. Though just like the Asian salad, this is also a bit on the heavy side. So if you want something light for your salad, just go with the regular Caesar salad.
Now on the main entrees, we don't really order anything much from their menu besides the garlic lamb pizza which honestly beats all the pizza Yellow Cab, Pizza Hut, and Shakey's has to offer. It's thin crust and not that heavy to eat. It has a wide variety of flavor from thyme, rosemary, min leaves, feta cheese, mushroom, and black olives. I am not really a pizza-type of guy as I try to stay away from those carbs but in LA cafe forget about it. I will eat their pizza! Oh and interesting fact, they bake their pizzas in their own 'pugon' or wood-fired brick oven. How cool is that?
Oh, I have also tried their grilled blue marlin steak once. The fish was tender and soft but honestly the flavors were just meh. I could do this back at home so I think I'll just stick to my pizza thank you.
Tips:
- be sure to call for reservations if you want a more private spot for you and your date
- there are non-smoking and smoking places here, for the smoking place it is located downstairs so unless you are a smoker too, sit upstairs
- here's a sample course for your dinner date: oyster rockefellah, pumpkin soup, Caesar salad (I would suggest Asian or Mondavi but I think they're too heavy for two), garlic lamb pizza and you're good to go!
We didn't know that most of the restaurants along Tomas Morato and Scout areas have broken time, so we chose A Taste of L.A which is one of the few that is open at 4pm. The place is dark & empty and we were the only customers inside, I really wanted to leave but my husband insisted that we eat there as he's tired of driving around just to have a bite. Am I glad we didn't leave! The food are delicious specially their Rockefellah and spinach pizza. We also ordered prawn salad and spaghetti maranese, both were tasty, filling and didn't disappoint. Though their menus are quite pricey but servings are big enough to be shared by 2. Definitely going back to try their other dishes.
Underrated restaurant in Tomas Morato. Love the vibe of the place and the food is really good. Good option if y'all are looking for a romantic kind of date. 👌
What a great find in Tomas Morato! I didn't imagine such a place would be cleverly tucked away in Roces. Frontage is so deceivingly small and unassuming but once i stepped into the big hardwood double doors it felt like I entered into an old inn. Interiors are made of hardwood, dining tables are impressively varied with driftwood and marble tops. Chairs upholstered with leathers and many corners give you an option to have your private conversations with that special someone. Paired with flickering candles and indirect lighting, what girl will dare have second thoughts to say yes?
We ordered rockerfeller oysters, ceasar's salad, spicy duck pizza, white cheese pizza, spaghetti carbonara, seafood spaghetti, prawn thermidore, pork sisig, crispy pata, beer and shiraz to go with everything. Everything was perfect. The oysters came on a bed of salt and in a hot plate. Serving temperature was just right, delightfully hot inside with cheese torched on top. Next came the duck pizza. We had ours in thin crust. It was remarkably thin and crispy packed with a good dose of flavors. The white cheese pizza was a bit bland but it was filled with gooey cheese on top. What makes their pizza special is their crust. It is impossibly thin and crunchy. They serve it with oozing hot mozarella that stretches when pulled apart. i absolutely love the duck pizza. So flavorful! The spaghetti carbonara was quite good, though i find it a bit salty. The seafood spaghetti came in tomato-based sauce with shrimps, squid parmegian cheese, olive oil and garlic. Balanced the taste just right.
What i remember distinctly about the prawn thermidore was the fresh bouncy prawns in creamy cheese topping. The pork sisig was served on a sizzling plate with smoky flavor. It was more of pork meat in small cubes without the usual fat. It didn't come with egg on top but was still great. The crispy pata was a good serving size, well-seasoned to the bones, perfectly fried, the meat was tender but crispy outside. Served with lechon sauce and vinegar sauce to suit your taste. It was a good experience. Even though we came in a group, I would like to come here again on a romantic date for two. Perfect for romantic dinner.
Been here on our first anniversary, and the place was just perfect. Cozy. Serves good food esp their garlic-cheese pizza. The servers were nice as well. Would really love to come back!
On the table: baked oyster so-like-rockefellah & ultra thin spinach pizza.
My Food-O-Meter:
Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Service: 3.5/5
Nice place to go on a date and enjoy a candlelit dinner. An old house turned into a restaurant. A bit pricey but worth a try.
This restaurant is a cozy hole in the wall type of place, not attracting too much attention with the small facade. The food is good, I like the garlic and three cheese pizza quite a lot, while I found the salpicao lackluster, and the spaghetti a la checa interesting. Food varies, you just have to choose the right dish. The place has a strict dress code and an added bonus is you get to see some figures with their mistresses which may explain the dim lights.
Been here last Valentine's Day. Nice place for a romantic date. The ambiance was perfect for that special day. They had set menu for that day. The food was good. Will be back here and try some dishes on their regular menu.
This place hasn't changed since i started going here a decade now, from its romantic ambiance, good quality of food and warm attendants. Perfect date spot in qc. ❤️
My boyfriend, and I had dinner last Sunday at A Taste of L.A. (or “L.A. Cafe”) in Don A. Roces Avenue, Tomas Morato, Quezon City. The fine quality food served complemented with dedicated service by this restaurant made our overall dining experience especially memorable, as we celebrated our sixth Valentine’s Day together. :)
As the saying goes, we should not judge a book by its cover. A Taste of L. A. has been opened since 1995. While its exterior looked pretty shabby, seemingly reflecting how the building has aged through the years, the interior design still offers an old-world charm that’s all about the details.
From the historic wood-paneled walls to the pieces of paintings displayed in every room, A Taste of L.A. is filled with quaint and romantic touches. Its outdoor space is equally as wonderful, with an unexpected water fountain that works as a good backdrop for picture-taking.
Since we came at nighttime, the tables were just lit with candles. Match the dim ambiance with understated decors and relaxing instrumental music, and you get the feeling of coziness you deserve on a date.
We shared a bowl of the Fresh Onion Soup (PhP 380) as a starter. Baked with a crust of Emmental and Gruyère cheese, the soup had a combination of slightly sweet and salty flavors with watery consistency. The bubbling crust of cheese was somewhat like mozzarella—gooey, nutty, and sharp. Its fragrance and savory texture managed to bring the simple onion soup to a next level.
For the main courses, we went for the house recommendations. A Taste of L.A.’s U.S. Rib Eye Salpicao Rice (PhP 560) was amazing and became our easy favorite. The steak cubes cut size was just great for chewing, and the marinade composed of garlic and chili did not overwhelm the beef. I suddenly remembered The Nest’s version of Beef Salpicao. (I can’t decide which one fared the notch better.) The bed of garlic fried rice was also tasty, and there was nothing to complain about.
Cooked to perfection, the Grilled Chicken “Hotel de Paris” (PhP 520) with fresh mushrooms, smoky bacon, Béarnaise sauce, and mashed potatoes on the side was another winning dish that’s well prepared by the café. The name sounded a mouthful but a delicious one. A twist to the tandoori chicken, the grilled chicken was tender and juicy. A worthy shout out was the Béarnaise sauce which was made of clarified butter emulsified in egg yolks, white wine vinegar, and flavored with herbs. Thumbs up!
Reminiscing the meal, I realized that A Taste of L.A. (L.A. Cafe) in an almost-hidden spot near the popular commercial area of Tomas Morato did a sublime job in injecting Italian and American food selections into the menu while retaining conventional Filipino recipes. They also offer a fine collection of wine and various types of liquor to choose from.
If you are looking for a decent venue in QC to discuss business ventures, catch up with friends and associates, or impress someone and are willing to spend about PhP 500-1000/pax, A Taste of L.A. is the place to be.
Been patronizing the place since the 90's and food has always been tops. Their house merlot is perfect for all their Spanish dishes more so with their salpicao. Bring home their pan de sal....d best.
The perfect place for a quiet dinner with your family and friends. With a wide array of food, there is always something for everyone. Service is personable, place is cozy, food is good.
This is the perfect place for a dinner date because of the ambiance. Everything was so romantic. The restaurant smells like a hint of old wood when you first walk it but after a while you will not notice it. We went here on our second anniversary and I could not have imagined a better place to celebrate it.
WHAT I LOVED:Candles
RosesDimmed lights
The baked oyster platter called So-Like-Rockefellah was one of the best oysters I have ever tasted. Fresh and cheesy goodness. The food was absolutely perfect.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE:The table is really small. When I asked to move to another table, the waiter said no. There were only a few of us in the restaurant and there was so much space. Spaghetti Carbonara did not taste good.WHAT WE ORDERED:
SO-LIKE ROCKEFELLAH!! P480
Creamed spinach, bacon and cheese
GRILLED PORK BELLY P380
Served with pickled mustard greens
BARBECUED U. S. BABY BACK RIBS
Half slab P440
Full slab P840
With fresh tomato barbeque sauce

We've been eating here ever since I was a little kid and up until now, A Taste of L.A. does not disappoint. Great food at a reasonable price, the staff is very welcoming and ambiance is lovely. The Spinach Pizza is an all time favourite of our family and we usually get 4 boxes for take out. This place is a gem!
The gastronomic experience continues for Mom and Me. I've been wanting to visit Taste of LA for so long and finally this is it.
Located at Laging Handa St. at Tomas Morato, you really need to keep an eye on thr place because its really near the street corner. The place is very small outside but when you come in, the place smells of romance and class. I love how cozy the place looks like. Mom and I chose the comfy couches that can seat 4 people. Then comes the hardest question of the day? WHAT TO EAT?
Mom and I always order the best sellers, must try of every restaurant we visit. The good thing about taste of LA, they offered free bread and butter while waiting for iur orders. And here's what we ordered: We started with the soup, we got Roasted Pumpkin Soup (P270) it tasted like the mormal pumpkin soup that is a little bit burnt. I love that it tasted like the normal but with a twist.
Next one is their best seller Asian Salad (P500) served with greens and crispy noodles and mango viniagrette. I love that it didn't taste like a medicine syrup. The crispy noodles waa really crispy and if you eat with the grillef chicken, you won't feel like you're eating a salad at all. So far, one of the new food to try on my list.
Next on our list was the Pritchon Pugon (P420). Lechon Kawali style served in chinese pancakes, which I don't think they wrapped it chinese pancake. It looked like plain Lechon Kawali with sauce on the side, but I love how crispy and crunchy the pork was.
To add flavor to our menu, we also ordered Seafood Marenese, white sauce based pasta served with calamari, shrimp which Mom and I really liked. It looks heavy at first but when you taste it, you'll savor every bite and it won't leave you feeling full from all it.
To complete our adventure, we also ordered Morconito since I've been craving for something saucy and something with a filipino taste. I was shocked when the food came because it was so big! I must say that this dish was the best of everything that we ordered. I love how "siksik" the morconito was and how the red sauce complimeted the dish. We requested it to be a bit toasted and thats what Taste of LA gave us. This dish was the bomb!
For our drinks, Mom ordered Strawberry Shake (P115) and for me, i got Ripe Mango Shake (P115). Mom loved her shake and I got to taste it, indeed it tasted yummy, not very sweet just the right amount of sweetness in every sip and will leave you with the strawberry after taste. Mine was like any other Mango Shake, nothing spectacular or different.
We really enjoyed our stay at Taste of LA. The staff accommodate us and served us with whatever we needed. they also checked if we want anything more. The place was very quiet amd cozy and perfect for laidback dining experience. Shell out cash is at P1500 for 2 persons. A bit pricey but worth it.

If you ever crave for Cheese Fondue, this is the place to go to. It's also the perfect place to bring your significant other on a date because the atmosphere is very romantic, with dim lights and candles.

Perfect ambiance for a dinner date. Candlelight dinner + mellow music + very accomodating waiters. We had the spinach pizza for our appetizer (sorry antakaw) lol. Then we shared the grilled blue marlin steak and the grilled butterflied prawns in lemon butter sauce. I commend the waiters! Good service.:)
Been wanting to try this resto! The ambiance is perfect. Place is really great! My friend and I ordered Spaghetti Maranese, their bestseller, and is the most expensive among the pasta. Im not a fan of seafood pasta but heeyyyyy i loved their pasta! It was soooo good. It's a northern italian-style marinara, yummy indeed! We also ordered buffalo wings to partner with the seafood pasta, nothing special, just a normal taste of buffalo wings. We should've ordered baked Ousters instead. I will, next time. ???? great place. Good food with reasonable price. :) I had a great dinner here!:)
When i first got here, i knew nothing at all about this place. No clue. My guy friend (back then) and i just opted for a good place to eat. When we came across this place we just decided to have our dinner here. The moment we came in, it was a total shock to both of us. It was a total date place. Dimmed lights, candle lit dinner, roses on the table and servers looking at us like we are a couple. I felt a little embarassed with my friend and i wanted to tell him to go to another place intsead. But, i just can't get those words out of my mouth. So we stayed and enjoyed the romantic ambience this place had given us. Hahaha The whole time we were there felt like we were really on a special date when all we wanted was just a dinner. Good thing that I had the time to appreciate my beef salpicao.
When i had my 2nd visit here, It was our 1st anniversary.
The best pizza I have ever eaten!
We needed a cozy place to stay... J was in awe with the interior, lights where warm, wood over the place and roses on each table. A perfect dating spot.
We had the cheese fondue which sent us to better chat and created a classic new experience.
Parking space is too little though.
Service is superb
Price.. a little pricey but is definitely worth your money.
