There are actually 2 rubs in the tomas morato area. This is the slightly smaller one. Along one of the scout area. They also serve the best ribs in the area. Very soft and easy to eat. I prefer to go to the roces area but if it's full, then this is the next best thing.

Rub is a classic for a reason. Though this branch is probably the smallest one, it does offer its own charm.

Great RUB branch! Ordered the BBQ Ribs, Pork Ribs, and Clam Chowder which were all great. Servers were very friendly and courteous. The place is a bit cozy though, (read: small) so you may want to head here ahead of the lunch and dinner rush hours.
The food they serve in this place is always worth every peso, especially when availed with zomato gold.
Ribs were goos as usual, the buffalo wings are still one of my favorites in the metro, but the blackened salmon was a great discovery. It was really delicious and juicy and went perfectly with the mash they served.
The service staff were attentive and helpful as well.
The only take away is that i wished they diluted their iced to a bit more.
With Zomato Gold, we were able to have good experience at RUB. I’m more familiar with the UP Town Katipunan branch. The ambiance and structure are not as appealing but the food is still great! We really like the ribs. It’s really worth it! We were hoping that the deal was a 1+1 on any food order but we found out while ordering that it was only for single orders. There were 4 of us so we just hoped we could get a better deal.
Still, it was great! We enjoyed eating there. Especially, when we first started eating, we had the whole top floor to ourselves. The staff was friendly though we were also hoping that we can change the rice into mashed potato by paying a little extra. Apparently, they don’t allow this anymore. I’m not sure with other branches.

Food is great..esp. the ribs. What I do not like is the fries. Sauce and other toppings are underneath the fries. The storage compartment is located behind one of the seats.. which is not a good idea if they will get something. Overall experience 4/5.

This is where I was introduced to ribs. Im not fond of eating ribs but when I tried it the time when we decided to eat here, I was sold. I remembered we waited for an hour because there was a long line of customers waiting for their turn since they only have the Tomas Morato branch that time. And now, everytime my husband wants to eat ribs, this is were we go.
Affordable juicy, tasty ribs that are so hard to find. For just 250 you get a satisfying portion of one of the best ribs I’ve ever tasted and they even have potatoes or rice and a side dish with it.

I've been to this restaurant more than 5 times for the past six months and I'll honestly never get tired of their ribs that can stand alone even without the sauce. I was first apprehensive about ordering something that says "for two" because I've been to some rib places and even their "for two" meals aren't enough for one meat lover like me. But then, I guess I was right. One order of their ribs is not enough because you will surely want a huge order all for yourself because it's just that great. Haha!

The place is way TOO small. The spaces of the tables were too close that Your chair, and the chair from the back touches each other so it's kinda hard to get up. And the lightings were dark it hurt my eyes so we ate our food quickly. But my boyfriend said it's their technique so the meat's color will be enhanced. Idk haha

It was our first time to try here at RUB. For our lunch, we ordered their Super Duo Ribs and Fish and Chips. I liked their ribs for its tenderness plus its big serving. Fish chips was just okay but also had big serving. Very affordable! 😉
Rub Ribs is one of the rib joints out there that will make you come back for more. I had the pleasure of having the experience to dine in this very underrated rib place. I ordered the BBQ ribs (singles) with the garlic spinach and mushroom side. I'd like to highlight the side first because most side dishes won't taste as good but this was just plain awesome for a side dish. For the ribs, it's not the fall of the bone type but it's tenderness and flavorful punch makes it one of the more memorable BBQ ribs I have tasted. I also ordered the fish tacos which I may say is very underrated as it really does pack tons of flavor that will make you want some more. Definitely a good experience with Rub Ribs and you'll never go wrong with them.

Best ribs in town! Not exaggerating, but really, it is the best ribs I tasted so far. Downside is that their place is so little, lightings not so good, and it really becomes packed during dinner time so you'll have to wait to be seated. But waiting will be worth it for their ribs. They do have other branches so you might want to check it out if you dont like a cramped dining space.
One of the tastiest ribs i had. Beef tacos are awesome aswell. Its just that the place is really small and only had about 5 or 6 tables upstairs. Just expect a waiting period since the area is small. We'll come again for sure!
Aside from their award winning ribs, there are also other items on the menu worth trying. One of them is the pulled pork burrito bowl. One serving is good enough for someone who has a huge appetite, or can be shared by two especially if you ordered other items on the menu. The cheese perfectly blends with the rice, pork, mushrooms, and other veggies. It's something I would not mind eating over and over again. Additionally, the chicken tacos also tasted good. However, the pineapples on top made it on the sweet side ( I didn't check the ingredients on the menu). Hence, it didn't taste like my average taco. If you love having pineapples mixed in your food, this would be a bomb for you.
Service was fast, and service crew communicates very well. As always, I'm overly pleased with my Rub experience, and will continue to come back for more!
I went there because of a sudden craving for back ribs. Not disappointed. Size was good for its price. Caesar salad had real shrimps to my delight. Side dishes that I ordered had something delectably different. Small space though. I could hear d conversation of d diners across the room. The place is small and there are already 4 people on the waiting list when we arrived there. We initially wanted to make a reservation from them, unfortunately, we learned that they do not allow reservation.

Try their riblets which I find has more meat than the usual raki's ribs. Must try sides are their garlicy mashed potatos and spiced rice.

The side dishes tastes great also (we love the garlic spinach and mushroom), although it’s also on the small side.
Price: Though affordable, I can’t help feeling shortchanged because of the small servings.

If you can't wait to have your Rub, head on over to Roces Ave cor. Sct. Tobias (beside Papemelroti). You'll have better luck getting a seat there.

My son who recently graduated from Grade school picked Rub to have dinner at after his grad ceremony.
He had the Texas chicken roast,
I had the single Raki's BBQ ribs and my youngest ordered the Rub Beef.
Rub beef arrived the quickest. It was tender and tasty. We liked the taste and enjoyed it while waiting for our other orders but being the Filipino that we are, we felt like toast isn't the best partner for it. My youngest ordered rice to eat with it but potatoes (mashed, steak, marbles or even wedges) would've gone better with it instead of the toast.
My ribs came next. I was a bit disappointed as the ribs I was served hardly had any meat left on it. Taste was ok. I liked that it wasn't swimming in sauce and the bbq was okay. It wasn't too sweet unlike in other rib joints.
The texas chicken roast didn't arrive until after the first 2 orders have been consumed so if you're planning to order this, do it inadvance. If you're starving, pick something else. It was good though and all 3 of us liked it. The meat wasn't try. The gravy was good too, consistency, taste, volume and all. The potato steak that this came with was nice too.
For dessert, we ordered the fried oreos with ice cream. It was literally oreo cookies covered in corndog batter served with vanilla ice cream. I like oreo and vanilla ice cream but wasn't too thrilled about frying cookies.
The place is really small though so may be tough for bigger groups or meal time rush.
Will go back here? Sure...I was pleased by my kids' orders and wouldn't mind trying their other offerings too, but I know it's not something I'd be missing nor craving for.
I love Rub! Particularly their ribs and sides. Very consistent with the other Tomas Morato branch. Not only are the ribs fantastic, it's very affordable too! One of the best ribs in town. I only wish they move to a bigger place, because this branch can only accommodate a crowded 20 people. So be here early.
It is my second time to have dinner in this place. This time i brought my siblings and cousins and they like the ribs except the potato salad...but they enjoyed the onion rings and the special dip they have! I will visit here again soon if I will be in the area 😀

Tthe place is a bit small and there's no parking. You just park along the road so it's a bit of a drag. It's a bit pricey but the food tastes great. You could realy taste the herbs and other flavors of the dish. The interior is nice and they have cool decorations.

Been to their branch in Kapitolyo, my experience there was way better than what I had in their branch at Morato. I love their ribs and their sauce, I don't have complains about it. I would give a score of 5 for the of their food. What I don't like is the ambiance and their customer service here. We went here yesterday to have dinner, we arrived at the place around 10pm. The one who assisted us looked aburido and was not even that courteous nor friendly. It may be because the restaurant closes at 11:00pm sharp, but it wouldnt help in making time fly so that her shift would end early. A crew went up to ask for our last orders, he only took the order of my friend, I was about to order something but he just quickly went down. He should've asked if we would like to add something pa. We're not yet done with our dinner and it's quarter to 11:00pm and they were already asking for our payment. It's just not proper to ask customers to ask for payment even if they're not yet finished with their food. They were such in a rush that we were really turned off by the place. As for the ambiance, the place was cramped up with uneven tables that could only accommodate 25-30pax. Like what I said their Kapitolyo branch was way better.

For its price, the rib meals are really worth it. Despite its small space, when you're already inside and having some of those ribs, its really sweet and smoked and tender. However, due to its limited seats, it feels a little it cramped. The other branch in Kapitolyo is more spacious.

Rub Beef - meat was juicy and good. but it was more like a beef stew, i expected it to be grilled. meat and the veggies was in the same container.
Blackened Fish - it was well cooked and nice. salad side dish was good.
Pulled Pork Sandwich - it was ok.
Buffalo Chicken Wings - it was good and well cooked. not that spicy.
Ceasar Salad - it tasted like mayo. lettuce was not that fresh and the shrimp was fried.
Their ribs are still my favorite since they opened their first branch in Kapitolyo. Fall-off-the-bones kind and the sauce is perfect. Pair them with their house caesar salad and clam chowder and you are great to go.

Location of their Sct. Rallos branch is not that easily seen. It's very small, it can only accommodate around 20pax. But the food is really great. Their Rub Beef is a must try, same with their Baby Back Ribs. Compliment it with their House Blend Tea, it's a sure win!
After a week, I came back with a friend. We ordered baby back ribs for two with buttered corn and vegetables at the side. I enjoyed it better than with the rice. We also ordered a bottle of beer to compliment the taste.
Service, on the other hand, was disappointing. Our pitcher of water was given to another table without our permission. I hope they'll improve on that.

The ribs are smoky and flavorful. Since I don't like my ribs too sweet, I like that the barbecue sauce is given on the side so you can control how much you want to smother the ribs with it.
One thing I love about Rub is the great value for the price of the food. We ordered the Family meal tonight which comes with 2 slabs of ribs, 1 mini ribs, and 3 sides. The entire meal fed us 4 adults well! Including the drinks and extra sides, our tab just came under P1k. Wow!
One thing that really bugs me though is the small space. There is a bigger branch along Roces but this is the branch closer to our home so we just deal with it by having dinner early. The place is small that it can get really noisy when there is a large group of diners.

Food: SUPERB! Ribs were very flavorful (hanggang buto) and tender. The flavor was just the right amout of bbq-ness (hickory) with a tinge of some herbs. Coleslaw was still crisp and fresh. Mushroom and veggies tasted just right (greens were a bit overcooked to my liking. Sparky thought it was just right). The mashed po was also good. :)
Tip: The family feast can serve up to 4 (2 slabs of ribs) but if you're a huge meat eater, it can be finished by 3 pax :)

If you're craving for ribs and you are on a tight budget, this is the place for you. We went here last week and ordered ribs (of course), pizzadilla and (my favorite) fish and chips. The food was all good especially for its price (we only paid less than 300 per head). The service and waiting time was also okay. The space however was kinda small. I suggest you call them first before going here to ensure a seat. Nonetheless, the experience was great and we're definitely coming back. 😊

This branch is quite small and looks cramped. We obviously love their ribs and for the sides we usually get their bacon & potato salad, roaster garlic mashed pot, and sprice. The mashed potato doesn't come with a free gravy though so you still have to pay for it.

We arrived early dinner and luckily we scored a table good for 10. The place was simple and attractive. Inside it was cramped and can only accommodate few customers. You might need to wait in line especially during peak hours.
RUB is of course famous for its ribs. One should give it a go during their first visit, so here I am trying their Raki's BBQ Ribs Single which comes with one rice and side you can choose from the menu. I chose Garlic Spinach and Mushroom which tasted just fine. The ribs on the other hand was tender and juicy making it easy to slice. It was well seasoned and flavorful and the smoky taste was also present.
Another order of mine was Rub's Ultimate Fries. I highly recommend it for you to try. It tasted great and the jalapeños, cheese, bacon and pulled pork complemented well with one another. The serving was good for two, although I bet I can finish it all by myself for it was heavenly good.
RUB is a must try considering the affordability and quality of food you get you need not to ask for more.

It is my birthday and decided to have something special but at the same time would not want something really expensive as I am on a tight budget! Since I have an errand to attend to in the Morato/New Manila area, we decided to check out Rub on Roces Ave. Apparently, there was another Rub within the area we stumbled upon so we decided to settle there as it was hot out. We settled for the Single Raki's BBQ (220) and the Grilled Fish (220). My partner and I both enjoyed them, particularly the fish which was really tender and juicy. But both dishes were trumped by the dessert! The Banana Caramel Crepe was divine! We both loved how the crepe was crispy and topped with a complementary vanilla ice cream. The only minor complaint though was how few people can be seated at a time. Otherwise, it was a joyful experience.
it is not pricey, considerably cheap for barbie ribs, the flavors are there and if i am to compare it to a date it deserve a second one! one happy carnivore here!

Place: on a Thursday night, it's not so busy so we were seated right away. I personally like the music, ranging from modern (EDM, Hip-Hop) to oldie good vibe (Pop) or sad/sentimental (Ballad/R&B) music.
Servers: they were nice. They were attentive when I called.
Food: We ordered the super duo. It gave a long pice of ribs (10 ribs) with 2 choice of sides. We ordered the garlic mashed potatoes and sprice (spiced rice). The mashed potatoes gave me a strong herby and garlicy taste which I love. The sprice was alright. The ribs was good too-even better when given the bbq sauce. As for the price, I thought it was fair. For me and my partner, we weren't full from the meal but the quality was there. If you want to get money's worth in terms of getting full, then it may not be for you unless your food intake is rather small.
I will keep and keep coming back here because the ribs is relatively cheap.

It was raining hard and we decided to have dinner while waiting for the rain to stop.
We ordered the Raki's BBQ Ribs. A 'single' costs 220php. It came with 1 rice and 1 side. For the side, we got garlic spinach and mushroom.
Let's start. The ribs were really big. It had a smoky taste since it was bbq'd. The sauce easily complemented the smoky taste. For the garlic spinach and mushroom side, now I'm not a fan of vegetables, but this was delicious. You could easily taste the garlic but it did not overpower the mushrooms or the spinach. This place is a definite must-try.
The only thing I didn't like about the place was that it was really small. It could probably fit about 20 people, but almost no room to walk around.
I would probably try their other branches as the place is small, but I would recommend this to anyone who wants some tasty bbq steak.
We dine in here last 27th Feb. for dinner celebration for my mon's bday. Their ribs with potato bacon salad I must say tasted good and pretty much good for sharing and affordable. 😊
Great value for your money! We got this "Super Duo" Ribs for only 390php! It has a big serving so I promise you, you will not regret. The sauce and everything else were perfect. ❤️ I only must say we went there (at their Tomas Morato branch) probably 20 mins before their closing time. But the waiter was still happy to serve us. Good job :)
Good value for your money. They serve really good wings. It also has big serving. Their sauce was just perfect and their sidedishes were all good as wel as their brewed iced tea. The only problem is their place, its too small but the service here was good.
Their ribs is tasty. I love how they marinated the ribs and the sauce compliment it. May part na matigas yun yung portion na sunog pero okay lang sa akin. Their iced tea is too sweet, in the menu it is indicated that it is good for 4 persons but i bet it is not. Buttered corn is so so. The garlic spinach and mushroom taste good despite of it's look na hindi presentable. Hehe The staff are attentive. Their place is small. Luckily there is not much customer when we go there. Overall my experience with here is 👍 . Gonna back here for their ribs. But of course, for me ribs at rib city is still the best.

My favorite casual dining Resto which serves good and generously sized ribs. Yummm!
Coleslaw is the best side plus some mashed potato. If you haven't tried ..please do. The place is quite small though and parking could be a problem at times but the food is worth all the wait. Promise.
Money's worth!!! Really love how tender the ribs are -- close to falling right off the bone. Their sauce, however, is too tangy for my taste, but the ribs can do well without it. I ate mine with rice and a side dish. I didn't enjoy the bacon and potato salad which I chose because it was cold and too buttery, so I suggest to try a different side dish.
I've been wanting to try their food but the place was always full and the line for a table was always long. All I can say is that it's worth it. If you're waiting for a table it's advisable to order ahead so that your food will arrive just in time when you're already seated. The serving is big, the ribs are cooked just right and the iced tea is also good. I'm really pleased with their service too. I would love to come back and try other food in their menu.
