We had our food delivered by lola cafe. And we really enjoyed it. The lengua is very soft. The kare kare tastes so good. And the truffle pasta (although a little bit small in serving size) is just perfect. Customer service is an A+ as well because their staff is accomodating and very responsive. Thank you! Will surely order again and try your other dishes. 🙂
Bicol express pork belly was superb.
Lola Cafe accommodated my phone call for pickup for my family's Sunday lunch today. Andre was very helpful. Bicol express did not disappoint and so did the laing. Food was warm and we finished to our heart's content.
Must-try is the kesong puti cheesecake, I am glad I ordered 2. Perfect to cap the sumptuous lunch. Thank you, Lola Cafe. Next Sunday again :)
We went there on a Saturday dinner time, place is almost packed, glad we had a reservation. Menu is easy to understand. Appetizer and main course took around 40minutes before it was served. Loved the salpicao and kimchi kaldereta. The banofee pie for dessert was great, while for the smores, the marshmallows weren't melted/hot enough. Chicken inasal sisig was out of stock so we went with bangus instead.
Servers are attentive. Utensils clean. Parking with security guard available but limited slots
Pros: excellent food. Well prepared and thought of. A tad on the over-tasty side but nothing overboard. Well presented. Service staff was well versed.
Cons: preparation time was a bit slow (must be because of the inasal grill time). But definitely worth the wait.
Ordered a lot of dishes and every one of them was delectable. Three most interesting and delicious: Tinapa pasta, Truffle Lengua, Coconut chopsuey. When the coconut chopsuey first arrived it looked like regular chopsuey and I was almost disappointed...but after I realised there were coconut meat chunks and actually tasted jt I fell in love. It just absolutely made sense and now I want all my chopsuey to have coconut!
Very interesting menu and well executed. Service is great but they were just very busy on valentine’s night. Would come again for sure!

Dined here on Valentines day for lunch. I didn't took photos of our food bec. hubby requested not to. No cellphones allowed daw muna. Lol. We arrived around 12nn and the place is already packed.
Ordered Beef Salpicao, Mushroom Chicharon and Ceasar Salad for appetizers. All of it was good though the beef salpicao is a bit salty. It's better to eat it along with the roasted garlic to balance the flavor.
For our mains, Truffle lengua and Bistek tagalog. Their bistek tagalog is on the sweet side not the usual salty-sour flavor. Meat was good it's tender. The truffle lengua is good too though I didn't taste the truffle in it. Too bad, I was expecting it to have strong truffle flavor in it.
For our dessert, Kesong Puti Cheesecake and Banoffee Pie. Both were good too though I liked the cheesecake more than the banoffee. 😊
Really impressed with the food! Had the Tuscan Baked Salmon & Potato Stew which exceeded my expectations and will definitely be back for more - hopefully for the brunch and desserts soon. Service was pretty efficient despite the small space, and I can definitely see why it's so popular. Will recommend making a reservation in advance before heading down if you do not want to wait for too long!
Lola Cafe, Tomas Morato
Recommended: Go
Price: PHP 250 per person (PHP 480+ total bill for 2 dishes and rice, we used Zomato Gold to get 1 dish free)
Parking: Available but gets filled up VERY quickly. There's pay parking further down the street in front of Vitto's
What I'd recommend:
❤️ Roasted belly tocino: 5 pieces in total (which was soooo bitin), it's sweet with an appropriate balance between the fat and the fat
Meh, pass:
🙅♀️ Truffle lengua: I really liked the mushroom chicharon on top, but the lengua itself wasn't as tender as I would've wanted it to be

Nobody told me there's heaven somewhere in QC. My Golly wow! The pasta negra is just sooo appealing to my taste buds! The Salpicao hit the right spot. And oh, boy! The prawns in aligue is really heavenly ❤️❤️❤️ Staff are very prompt - kudos to you, guys! The ambience is relaxing.
Lola Cafe + Bar is one of the most recommended restaurants in Tomas Morato. Known for its quaint ambiance and interesting menu, I've been wanting to visit this place for years! And finally, after three long years, the stars aligned and off we drove to this foodie district. . Hello, Lola Cafe + Bar.
We always love dining here. The adventurous twists in the menu never failed our taste buds. Perfect for family and friends gatherings.
Food:
Tried their truffle lengua, kare kare, and bone marrow sisig. Must try dishes for me are the truffle lengua and kare kare. The kare kare is good even without the bagoong :) don’t leave without getting their kesong puti cheesecake for dessert! solo mains & cheesecake are good for sharing.
Place:
Place is quite packed and can get a bit noisy since the tables are too near from each other. other than that, the place is nice. perfect for catching up w friends, date, fam, etc!
The once per day use of Zomato now is very unfair to clients and restaurants. =(
Chicken Molo Soup and Kare Kare were adequate.
Alugbati & Keso Puti was quite odd but seems fine.
Truffle Lengua was cherry on top. Truffle really makes dishes special.
Warning, these desserts are for sharing. We were six and each one of us ordered our own desserts. We had to tske home a few cause it's a bit too much.
Mango Pavlova was the right kind of dessert.
Kesong Puti Cheesecake was a Filipino style cheesecake with the right amount of sweetness and texture.
Saba Con Macapuno was good.
I suggest one to buy the carafe instead of the glass. It's just an 80 peso difference and sure fills up 3-4 glasses. And these two are my favorites.

Ang sarap ng kare kare and bicole express. Solid yung kare kare lasang lasa yung peanut and di na kailangan ng masyadong bagoong. Yung bicol express masarap pero mejo matigas lang ng konti yung laman compared siguro sa preference ko.
I decided to visit Lola Cafe with my friends because it is a Zomato Gold partner. I was very happy because the cafe had ample parking space considering the location is in a secluded and narrow space. The ambiance looks way better when you enter the cafe. The drinks tasted good and the prices were affordable. For dessert, Kesong Puti Cheesecake is worth a try. We expected the s'mores to taste good but the taste of tablea chocolate was too strong. Our overall experience was good enough. We only had trouble in calling the dining staff because the cafe has two divisions and the staff stayed more on the inside part. Lastly, if you're not a Zomato gold partner, you can still save money on food if you are a Booky Prime member.
We loved all our orders of molo soup, pork belly tocino, ginataang sigarilyas, bagoong rice, sarsyadong bangus, cheesecake and banofee. The so so dish we ordered was the pancit with lechon kawali. Service could be better. Took them an hour to serve our dishes. We had to follow up as one of us had a plane to catch.
Take note that the 2+2 on drinks is for glass servings only and not the bigger size.
Update
Went back last night and seated on the ground floor. Serving was quick this time. Just a shout out to the chef, beef salpicao and prawns in aligue were too salty.
Liked the ambiance. Liked the staff (One waitress though didn't quite understand our order and yet doesn't repeat the order we've made which is why she wasn't able to serve two of our orders, rest of the staff is great) parking space available. Smoking area available. Liked the Pasta Negra, creamy and Kesong puti fries, cheesy and their something bangus, delish. Their Merengue's not bad too. Perfect blend of sweet and bland parts making it overall not too sweet. They should put a device to call out the staff from the second floor. Otherwise, you have to wait for them to check on you or have to go to the first floor to call them
We liked it so much here we went back twice in the same week! Be sure to get their chicken skin, mushroom chicharon, truffle lengua, and their salpicao rice bowl. They also have the best s'mores I've had in my entire life.
Great food and drinks. Gives a nice twist to some traditional dishes. Enjoyed everything we ate. Definitely worth coming back to. The fried chicken was really great!
Pretty average food. Sinigang in watermelon just isn't my thing. Ambiance is very good but acoustics is terrible, you can clearly hear other customer's conversation since seats and tables are too close with each other.
It might be common to turn an ancestral house into a restaurant here in Quezon City. At least I’ve been to couple of places already and its quaint yet modern vibe sets it apart from the others. This restaurant in Scount Lozano, Lola Cafe has that exact vibe – relaxing, cozy, yet stylish.
EXCELLENT SERVICE AND EXCELLENT FOOD. THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM. A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN DINE WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS, GO OUT ON A DATE, OR EVEN STUDY.
MUST TRY: KESONG PUTI CHEESECAKE (DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING THIS PLEASE)

Issue: The pork belly cut is unappetizing. Apart from it looking tough, the ones we ordered were really tough. Fantastic food flavors though specially the lengua.
Verdict: Will definitely go back for the lengua. Hope you fix the cut of your pork belly dishes and tenderize them. Sayang, very tasty pa naman.

A humble setting that provides unforgettable twists on familiar food that may come off as a bit pricey but nevertheless worth it all for a dining experience you’ll cherish for sure.
Went here with my co-foodies after dinner, for them to try my favorite cheesecake ever, the "Kesong Puti Cheesecake". Yass, it never fail me to impress others 😊 Still no.1 cheesecake for me.
Ordered other desserts too: Banoffee Cake and their Oozing S'mooores ♥️ I love how they present their S'mores (comes with graham crackers) and can also serve upto 5pax. So, definitely worth it!
Foodie forevah! Sometimes, I like being decked as on-call for 1 week in a month. Coz the place Im staying in is near St. Lukes. Im surrounded with lots of restaurants, cafes, wine houses etc. So last week, got to try this minimalist cafe. Ordered Chipirones (fried battered squid heads), Spicy Tuna Pasta and of course, Tartufo. Winner ang pastas! Pastas looked simple in these pics but wow, bursting with flavors! Promise! Way better than Kandle Cafe. Im not sure with the Chipirones, though. Its like may after taste siya na “maanta”. Their Dalandan Cucumber Juice was so refreshing but had to add more ice. Medyo matamis kasi for me. Babalik ba kami? Oo naman! Promise! 😍🤩🤗 #inahsadventurouspalate #rainbowisthecolorofmyappetite
Bone marrow sisig. Really good and fatty. But that's just how sisig is. The brown sauce was really good. It was sweet and sour. Tangy. 5/5
Truffle lengua with fried mushroom. Yummy. Creamy. But is not that awesome. Maybe I'm not into the truffle taste. 4/5
Pasta negra. It's really good. The squid is so tender. Cheesy. Heavenly and rich. Best thing I've ever eaten. 5/5
I didn't eat the kare kare because I don't really like kare kare but my family says it's really good too. 5/5
The food is just on the expensive side but it tastes really good
The food are so yummy and the solo meal was huge it can be share by 2pax already. The ambiance was okay they have parking that can accommodate many cars. The prices are quite reasonable.
Food is great; although the service time to prepare can take a while especially when you dine in groups. Staff was attentive and quick in terms of service. Highly recommend getting their pastas and salpicao! :)
Food is great! Definitely loved the Tartufo and Pasta Negra. 😋 Lola Cafe is definitely a contender for a night out with my tita-of-Manila friends. 😊

Food was worthy of every buck ✨ sooo good! We ordered, Kare-Kare, Truffle Lengua, Sarsiadong Bangus, Lola Fried Chicken. For dessert, Mango Pavlova and Saba Con Macapuno. My faves are — Tartufo and Bistek Tagalog are the 💣 M U S T T R Y!
A lot of people have been recommending Lola Cafe to me the past few months and I've actually had a taste of their cheesecake and coffee before but I wanted to try their food as well. So, I asked my friends to eat here when one of my friends celebrated their birthday. Thankfully, they loved the food as much as I did.
I've been told that it used to be really hard to get a table here because it used to be an exclusive place where high-profile people would sometimes reserve the whole place. I'm not sure if that was true but I wouldn't doubt it since it does seem like an exclusive place. It's the perfect place to go on a date with your special someone or have a quiet dinner with the girls or guys, your call.
We had the Bone Marrow Sisig (Php 295.00): this is the first time I've had bone marrow with sisig but it works. Probably because bone marrow would taste good with anything that has meat. The sisig itself was spicy for me so I had a lot of rice on my plate for each bite.
The Baked Tahong Express (Php 220.00): had a special taste that made it different from the ones I've had before. It had bicol express sauce which I didn't see when I read the menu but it was there. I actually liked it. The tahong wasn't "malansa" which I loved.
The Kare-kare (Php 350.00): didn't have a thick sauce but the taste was good enough to satisfy my cravings. It wasn't as rich as I wanted it to be but the bagoong made up for it. There wasn't that many meats but I only eat the kare-kare for the sauce anyway lol.
My friends' favorite among the dishes we had was the Crispy Tadyang (Php 260.00): rice bowl. This bowl is good for one person only but we ordered other food so had this for sharing as well. The meat was firmly crispy but the sauce balances it out.
My personal favorite was the Pork Belly Bagoong (Php 295.00): because I'm a sucker for bagoong and pork belly. It would've been better if the pork was crispy but I still loved what we had. Their bagoong leans more on the sweet side and that's what I prefer on my bagoong.
The Spicy Tinapa (Php 360.00): was not kidding when they put "spicy" on their title. I love tinapa but I just have a really low tolerance when it comes to spicy food. I tried to eat what I can because it was still good despite the spiciness. My friends like spicy food so I had to adjust.
For their pastas, I would recommend their Pasta Negra. I got to taste that before and it's what you'd keep coming back for. I would choose that if my friends didn't sound so enticed with the spicy tinapa, to be honest.
Of course, I came back for the Kesong Puti Cheesecake (Php 220.00): we surprised our friend and ordered this secretly. The saltiness of the kesong puti plus the sweetness and coconut-y flavor that latik and bukayo makes this such a deliciously interesting dessert that you're gonna want to keep eating. One order is good for 2-3 people already.
All in all, I would come back here given the chance. There are still so many dishes I have yet to try but I'll be coming back for the dishes I loved as wel.
I booked a table a few hours before we dine and it was a fast and reliable transaction. This is my second time visiting the place and i must say that the food and place is definitely a must try. Good for social events also, but the dining place is not soundproof for it is held openly upstairs. Still, their food is for the win! 😁👍
Sobrang sarap ng foods nila dto promise hndi ka mag sisisi. ❤️❤️❤️ lalo na yung truffle lengua and kare kare try nyo guysssss sobra sarap and for dessert I recommend kesong puti cheesecake 😋😋😋
Kumain kami dito feb.7,2019 and last visit namin April 18.nice place and the food is very good!
Babalik balikan Kita lola.the staff are very mabait .
Excellent quality and taste of the dishes. We order the kare-kare, wagyu salpicao and the grilled veggies with salted egg. Wish the sizes were a bit bigger. Overall, a yummy experience.
Lola Cafe has some really good Filipino food. Since I am a Crispy Tadyang enthusiast, I ordered their Crispy Tadyang rice bowl, while my father ordered the Boneless Chicken Inasal. We also decided to order Beef Salpicao for sharing. They were all really delicious, but my favorite dish was the Boneless Chicken Inasal. I highly recommend this place!!!
I am so blessed to be able to find this hidden gem somewhere in Tomas Morato!
A family’s old home turned over, and was transformed into a cafe/restaurant with awesome ambience and very good food!
MUST TRY:
1. Bone Marrow Sisig - P265
2. Crispy Tadyang - P260
3. Pasta Negra - P310
4. Humba Glazed Pork Belly - P525
5. Bistek Tagalog - P405
6. Kesong Puti Cheesecake - P180
I died happy after dining in here! PERFECT DINING EXPERIENCE! :D

An officemate’s birthday falls within a few weeks of mine so two of our former bosses decided to treat us out to a joint birthday lunch. And for that, Lola Cafe is our best bet, considering its proximity to our workplace, its Instagrammable modern interiors and its menu of imaginatively prepared homey dishes.
We went to this place because it has a high rating. After our visit, I can say it deserves the high rating. Great food, great price. Nice place.
This is my second time at Lola cafe. Their sinigang was also great. This time we ordered different dishes courtesy of zomato gold. 😅
We ordered beef salpicao and lengua. I love that their beef salpicao has lots of garlic cloves and the beef is tender. The lengua is also great and te sauce is not that creamy so hindi nakakaumay. Both of these were one of the best I have tried so far. :)
Excellent Filipino restaurant in a house in Tomas Morato.
We really loved both our dishes here. Lola Dining Ding is a version of Pinakbet with tinapa, pumpkin, bitter gourd, eggplant and fish sauce. Very well executed! Kimchi Kaldereta is another excellent dish of braised beef brisket with kimchi vegetables and liver pate. Delicious!
We took out Spicy Timapa Pasta for our lunch the next day. Al dente pasta moist with a little oil and with excellent smoked Bangus.
Saba con Macapuno is an ok dessert with shaved ice
My aunt asked me to dine here for my grandmother and uncle's birthday celebration last February 26 because before they dine here with her officemates and they loved their food offerings.
As a family it is our first time to dine here, I search for reviews before eating here so we have high expectations. We ordered coffees, fresh cucumber & calamansi juice, bone marrow sisig, crispy tawilis, Truffle Lengua, Bistek Tagalog, Lōla Fried Chicken, Laing, Lapu Lapu Alavar, Humba Glazed Belly, Kesong Puti Cheesecake, Banofee Pie, and S’mores. All of it tastes really great!!!! We will surely comeback. Actually we didn’t take fam photos before eating & food shots because we’re too excited to eat 😅 but we love all the food so much! 😍💕 The reviews are real and reliable, indeed the dining experience is exceptional.
5 stars for Creative cuisine · Comfort food · Daily specials · Chic décor · Cosy atmosphere · Fine dining · Stylish interior
But hope so their staff is more attentive but they are friendly.
So far we enjoyed our mini family reunion here. Will surely comeback!!!! Now this is my top recommended Filipino Restaurant.
Loved the place because it gives traditional Filipino foods a modern feeling and the place gives of a relaxing and romantic vibe where you can either have dinner with your family or an intimate date with your special someone.
Visited this place during a weekday dinner time. The place is not that that spacious, but the ambiance had a balance of sophistication and coziness.
On the same note, the food was fantastic! The dishes were a little bit more expensive than your usual Filipino restaurants (and had fewer serving portions), but were definitively delicious. The meat for both Kare-kare and Humba Glazed Belly were so tender, you didn’t even need a knife to cut them! The meat in itself for the Humba was already so flavorful, that even without the sauce it still tasted good. The acidity of the accompanying dip complemented the dish very well. Their Kare-kare is also one of the best ones I’ve tasted to date. As for the Ginataang sigarilyas, you could taste how fresh their gata was. I loved the surprise bouts of spiciness, as the green chilies were hiding in plain sight.
The dessert was also good!
Would definitely recommend for family celebrations/reunions/casual date nights!
This is our to go to restaurant in Tomas Morato. Their staff is very polite. My favorite dishes are their pasta, would definitely recommend their
spicy tinapa and chorizo ng hubad pasta. Love their food as always.
Ate here for my post-graduation celeb and the food and ambiance were perfect! They know how to cook good food that won't disappoint. Price is also just right. Their kesong puti cheesecake will surely keep u from coming back! 😊
Love this place because of the ambience and the food. All our orders, from appetizers to mains to desserts, were spot-on and absolutely delicious. The Chicken Molo Soup was savory and really flavorful, while the Crispy Tinapa Salad was light and refreshing. The Tartufo Pasta was also a great truffle dish (they offer Truffle Lengua as well), and the perfectly-cooked, tender, slow-roasted Pork Belly Tocino makes for a yummy ulam (I totally regret not ordering white rice with this T.T) Finally, those who are into desserts will love the Mango Pavlova - delicate and airy meringue topped with cream, mangoes, and crushed cashews.
It has been a while since the last time I was here. I remember that I enjoyed my Lola Cafe experience then. I still enjoyed my revisit with my dear group but as much as the first time.
I guess the restaurant was new then, smelled new, the staff still excited. I can't seem to point my finger exactly was lacking. But the Kesong Puti Cheesecake was still delish, it can still be the only reason why one would come here.
Otherwise, the food we ordered was passable at best.
Its our second time to dine at Lola’s Cafe and all I can say is the food is really good! Very tasty and the serving is generous and affordable. The restaurant is really cozy with homey feel interiors. Will definitely come back again!
Food must try here is the Bone Marrow Sisig, Truffle Lengua and Beef Salpicao and Mango Pavlova
Great ambience. Classy but not intimidating. Can't get my mind off their bone marrow sisig (literally mouthwatering) Cheesecake is also very noteworthy
My friends and I had dinner here last night. We decided to order solo meals. I ordered their Truffle Lengua. If you love Truffle sauce as much as me, then you'll definitely love this dish! The solo size includes 3 slices of lengua with a generous amount of truffle cream sauce. This definitely fits the description of "sauce pa lang, ulam na!" However, you would have to order rice separately. Only their Rice Bowl dishes have rice. Was able to try a bite of the Crispy Tadyang Rice Bowl, and I loved the sweet sauce in their rice. Might try this on the next visit. Just had problem looking for a parking space since we got there around 10pm. Nonetheless, the food and service were great.

Since I turned 25 last year, I seem to find comfort in chilling out at cafes, whatever the occasion is. Maybe it comes with the age, but I ain’t one to complain. Cafes generally give off a welcoming vibe, and it’s pretty easy to find one practically anywhere, so you wouldn’t have a lot of competition when it comes to parking spaces and / or tables.
LoLa Cafe is a 7-year old restaurant situated near the busy eat street of Tomas Morato. It is a perfect venue for a quick catch up, a round of drinks, or even intimate events! Mainly boasting of various Filipino flavors, it is not a surprise that this restaurant has become a go-to place for comfort food.
