I am a frequent diner here and its only now that I decide to add a review. 938 is super worth it. Must tries would be tempura, ramen, takoyaki, mango lime cheesecake!!! Yakinuku, sushi, sashimi and more :) not a fan of korean cuisine. Sambo Kojin is has two section, jap and kor cuisine so this review is primarily for jap cuisine lovers. No regrets. But I've tried some in the korean section, their chicken and bulgogi is good :)
The meat served and other cuisines are definitely delicious although this restaurant has hygienic issues
Place and crew - Place is big and spacious, can accommodate a lot of customers
Roasted Beef - Malambot and savory. You can eaither pair this with their liver sauce or mushroom sauce.
Meats are also good and savory. Pag gni-grill ko kasi nilalagyan ko ng little teriyaki sauce para may konting tamis yung mga meat.
Matcha and avocado ice creams are the best!
Quality over quantity. I've eaten at various buffets like vikings, yakimix, cabalen etc. But I just have to say, Sambo Kojin has the best quality and had the best food in terms of taste!
Sure, vikings and other buffets serve more dishes but don't let that fool you, because if you are the type to prefer taste and quality then Sambo Kojin easily takes the spot.
If we're referring to quantity, they actually have the most number in terms of cakes and mind you that their ice cream and cakes were baked and made with love. You'll notice that in some buffets the quality of ice cream and their cakes were average but in sambo kojin the quality was superb.
The only cons here if you are the type to love more food (they actually have a huge selection of food) is that they have lesser variety than vikings but their sushi is a whole lot better in taste and quality if I'm gonna compare it.
Of course, I wouldn't lie that there are more choices in vikings but I'd take the quality Sambo Kojin has, especially in their pastries and sushi's.
My two cents goes to Sambo Kojin and Vikings because most buffets I've eaten were a miss except for this two
I'm giving an honest review here, sambo kojin and vikings both have good food but sambo kojin clearly has the upper hand in taste, but variety goes to vikings so you'll have an idea on what you'd choose.
Lastly, I'd love to go back here and give sambo kojin 5 stars
I so love the fact that they serve lamb! So far this is the only buffets that ive been to that has lamb. love love love! Pork beef and lamb!

Been on many buffet restaurants but so far sambo pa din ang the best sakin. Favorite ko yung mga sushi nyo. Actually almost lahat favorite ko 😂 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I been here several times. And this never fails to make my tummy happy. I only saw some flaw. 1st when i ask for a bottle water room temp it tooks forever before they gave it to us. And when they gave it to us they provided a warm bottle water. Glass is not that clean. Hope they'll take action on that. Anyway they sang happy birthday and my baby loves it so a happy tummy, happy baby and happy family means a 4 star. recommended
It's almost my birthday anyway, so I invited my friend to celebrate it at Sambo Kojin yesterday.
I have this idea that Japanese food is expensive if bought a la carte, so when I'm really craving for sashimi, I usually opt to eat at buffet restaurants. I can say it's really worth it! The picture I took of the salmon sashimi were the slices I hoarded from the serving plate.😁 I also got a few sushi pieces. The ebi and kani tempura are a bit heavily battered, but both are perfectly fried. As always, the food preparation is superb and the food always served fresh.
I usually don't get food from the steak area but I was craving for them yesterday so I asked the staff to carve me a few slices of the lechon belly and roasted lamb with mint jelly. They're really rich and yummy! Thank goodness I only got a few slices, if not, my cholesterol levels would have gone up. I wasn't able to take pics of the meat though.
A meal at Sambo Kojin won't be complete without eating samgyupsal, so my friend and I got a variety of pork, beef and seafood slices to cook at our table. Served with their special sauce, the dish becomes absolutely delicious!
As what people say, "Save room for dessert!". I had the crème brûlée, coffee jelly, black sesame ice cream and avocado ice cream. All have just the right sweetness and each one has its own unique taste. Even the whipped cream of the coffee jelly has a coffee taste!
It's always a pleasure dining at Sambo Kojin!♥️
We held our wedding reception here, lunch buffet on a Friday. Save a lot due to promo discount and great value 'cause this is a buffet. They reserved a secluded part of the dining area for us which made us feel that we availed a function room, giving us privacy we wanted.
I also appreciate the initiative and effort of the crews that entertained us. They danced 3 songs to the delight of our guests which actually made the occasion less boring.
Foods were great as usual. Staffs were attentive and accommodating.
I highly recommended this place. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great quality of food compared to other buffets. Great service too!
Tonkatsu and all sushi are on point. Beef and lamb are delicious!
Will definitely come back again!
Best eat-all-you-can restaurant in SM fairview hands down! I've been here a few times and there is no one time where I felt short-changed. The buffet spread is not the best in the metro but for the price point, it is truly worth every penny. Dishes were mostly japanese and korean. There were raw marinated meats and seafoods for grilling, hot dishes, sushi and sashimi station and of course the carving station. Since I already know my way around, I focused on the lamb leg prime roast beef, sushi amd sashimi and the tempura. The quality of the food is still good.
i highly recomend this buffet resto. sobrang daming choices and the dessert nook experience was beyond my expectations. sushi and maki are realy good! ambiance is good also. i supppah laaaav it!
I really really love their food, unlike sa ibang buffet restaurants na matabang yung mga food nila but here in sambokojin it is just so yummers!! Their korean and japanese food was really lovely mababait din a ng staffs nila and also my favorite is yung korean dishes nila suoer sarap!! 😋💕 Konti lang yung pictures hehehe
Much better than the other sambokojin outlet in DEL MONTE branch.. at kahit napaka pricey tlga basta kasing babait naman ng staff dto sa Fairview branch ay oks lng, gaganahan kang kumain..
Sambokojin is well-organized.
Offers a wide selection of Japanese, Korean and other Asian cuisines. Wide variety of desserts. Smokeless grill is also available in every table.
Carving station is amazing though it's the only part that has the non-Asian servings.
Sambo Kojin, indeed raise the bar when it comes to buffet dinning with wide array of foods from filipino, to japanese, chinese, american and european dishes, they also have unlimited drinks but when we are here we go for the salmon sashimi and the beef dishes to make sure we are able to eat as much as we can and value for our money. Its a good choice for a buffet resto. You should check this one out.
I had a really great time with my family here. My dad loves Japanese cuisine and always requests to go back here whenever he goes back home. He loves buffet as much as I do.
Price varies on the day and time of visit.
So make sure to have your reservation based on your preferred budget 😂
Tip: get foods while it's hot / new.
Very accommodating staff and the atmosphere is nice, many food selections from korean, japanese and other asian cuisines.
I recommend the fried chicken, it's the food item there that I always keep on going back also the shrimps. (Tempura sauce isn't that good but the shrimps were good)
I didn't like some of the dumplings especially when they're cold already, the ramen it's so-so and takoyaki you must get it hot or newly cooked.
Dishes were A++! I enjoyed my stay there. Though there were instances that the cover of the stove under the table might come off and not be safe for little children. But the overall services are outstanding! I highly recommend!
We always celebrate special occasions/ hold parties here. Not once did we have a bad experience with their staff - they are very easy to talk to and they would really cater to our requests. Superb customer service, and of course the food selection’s also the best!
Best place for korean and japanese cuisine at a very affordable price. It’s 938 pesos for friday-saturday. It has everything... best meat for the samgyupsal. Their main dishes are mouth watering. They also have the best desserts. Staff are accommodating... however their noodles are not good.
The foods were great :)
The foods are all worth to eat. We also enjoyed the ambiance of the place and how the staff welcome and served their customers. Everything is perfect. Compared to TongYang, Yakimix and City Biffet, Sambokojin is worth your buck. You should try this restau, you'll never regret it.
The selection of foods are great. I loved their meat, shrimp, fruit shakes, choco lava, creme brulé and ice cream. The crew were really great. Very friendly, accommodating, and always checks on your table if you need anything. Thank you Sambo Kojin Fairview. We will eat again here in December. 😊
The Food was good, well prepared and well presented.
Place was clean and ambience is good as well.
I ate here twice and the 2nd was the most memorable because i celebrated my birthday.
You will not hesitate to come back again and great value for money.
This is one of the yummiest buffets near our place. There are lots of dishes to choose from and their desserts are really delightful! Not bad for php888. Our family immensely enjoyed our dinner.
I am not really into buffet restos but Sambo Kojin was recommended by a friend when I asked her where to have a nice meal for my birthday.
Sambo Kojin has different variety of food that you could choose from. From meat to seafood to desserts. The service is also good and you will not feel initimidated even it is your first time.
I also recommend this resto and this branch to others who are looking for nice food and nice service.
PS: Their price is cheaper during weekdays compared to weekends.
Well I spent my birthday here TODAY!
The staff are all well attentive to guest needs..
The food, it's really amazing both japanese and Korean dishes makes you drool..
They got a lots of dessert to choose from ..
Overall review .. A place were you can enjoy authentic food..
Sambokojin is worth every penny. Its pricy but its really worth it. We love to eat here... We visit the place at least once a month.
There are lot varieties of foods. I usually burned my meat and don't enjoy grilling that much. and we asked for assistance in grilling. They are so attentive I really love it.
But I notice in my last 2 dinner visit... They no longer refill the Sushi section and Juices around 8pm... The buffet finishes at 10pm but some dishes have no more refills which is quite upsetting for the price you pay.
Overall I love the place.
Parang mas nasulit ko ‘to kesa sa vikings. Sa dami ng choices sa vikings takas tingin nalang ako. Tapos mas maayos yung arrangement ng food dito kaysa sa vikings (megamall).

We love Sambokojin SMF branch. Not too crowded and staff are attentive. They’re able to maintain the good quality of their food. Their premium avocado ice cream is the best! 👍🏼
🌸 Located at UGF, SM Fairview (near entrance)
🌸 Accessible and easy to find.
🌸 Wide range selection for international cuisines.
🌸 Do not expect for fresh seafoods including the crabs.
🌸 Extended and increased volume of seats.
🌸 Good and approachable staffs.
🌸 Price ranges from 700-800 pesos (buffet)
It was my brother-in-law's birthday. So my sister invited me to join her family for dinner on a Friday.
⚀ FOOD 5/5
Really, this buffet is a haven for me, serving both Japanese and Korean cuisines. For the past year I was on a South Korean phase, and thru that I was able to know their food. And who doesn't love a good Japanese meal? This is the best buffet I've ever had for only Php938 per person (excluding the birthday celebrant ofcourse because him/her can eat for free just make sure he/she is accompanied by a paying adult)
⚁ SERVICE 5/5
Legit attentive servers. I think we requested for our grilling pan to be changed like 3 times and all the time the servers are all smiling. The only thing I noticed was when they sang a birthday song for my brother-in-law, they lack energy. Maybe they are just tired for the day considering it was already evening.
⚂ AMBIANCE 5/5
This has been a great factor for me. Smokeless grill! Grilling meat to your own satisfaction without worrying that your clothes will give away that you've been flipping samgyupsal all night.
Food: 4/5
Japanese and Korean choices were fresh. Loved their maki, sushi, and sashimi. Their kimchi was BOMB af. Easily the best kimchi we've ever had.
Service: 5/5
Everyone was accommodating and they even offer to serve you the food and drink right to your table. We didn't know about it and we appreciated them telling us instead of taking advantage.
Ambience: 5/5
The space between the tables were not too wide and not too narrow. The place was full yet you wouldn't know about it because you can move around. And because they have smoke-less grills, there's no smoke-y atmosphere unlike Tong Yang.
What made this a 4/5 review:
1) Our grill didn't work for 30 minutes and it took 3 personnel (including the supervisor) and a technician to get it going.
2) Dessert cakes were so bad. Everything was stale like yesterday's bread that we gobbled the Premium Avocado ice cream instead.
It was worth P900+/head imho. If you want the best quality for your money, go with this branch of Sambokojin.
Best Sambokojin Service ever at Sm Fairview Branch.. the crew are very hospitable and provides whatever you need without that feeling that you get when someone’s not happy. All of them are nice. They asked you what you’d like to have and they’ll deliver it fast.. I will surely visit again. Nice experience.. food was great!
The ambience was great, the selection of food had a wide variety of Korean and Japanese food, the service... for me this is where they stood out: the servers were polite, quick and they even prepared entertainment for their guests aside from the birthday greetings for the birthday celebrants. In our visit here, we were very entertained when the staff and even some of the chefs performed a dance routine. And lastly the price may be a little bit pricey (P888. We went on a Thursday for dinner) but the quality of the service and the variety of food made that worth it.
We had my mother's birthday and advanced fathers day celebration here last June 16 lunch. There were a lot of foods to choose from and it was a regret that I wasn't able to try them all because I'm so full and I cannot force food into my stomach anymore hahaha
I have nothing negative to say about this place!
We decided to avoid the crowd of the Fathers Day celebration so we celebrated a week earlier. Since me and my siblings love korean food but our parents are not too keen about it, we found Sambokojin the perfect choice! I called them two days in advance to make sure we will have a seat. We had our dinner reservations which cost 938php/ person. Their prices vary on weekdays and weekends but they also give free for the celebrants. However, they should visiton their birthday or 3 days before or 3 days after.
We arrived 5:00pm and started to fill up ourselves. They have a massive collection of meat to grill, korean food, japanese food, some Filipino food, desserts, and drinks. I was surprised to see that they refill their dishes every now and then. The staffs were attentive to your needs. They’d give you a refill without you asking. They even roam around to check plates and make sure to tidy up the tables. And surprisingly, they all smile at you.
To be honest, not all the dishes taste excellent but their korean selections are 👍🏼 for me🙂 and top it with quality service. I’m sure me and family will recommend this place and will go back for another celebration 🎉.
What sets apart Sambokojin SMF to other Sambokojin branches in Metro Manila is service. Will definitely come back here because of good, quality and proactive service!
Food 4/5 they have variety of dishes to suit your tastes
Price 3/5 not too expensive not too cheap
Place 4/5 clean and cozy as long as you reserve right away a table
Service 4/5 crew's are all attentive and very polite
We visited this place and had our lunch. They greeted and assisted us in a very nice way. Kudos to the staff for always smiling and being attentive. We love the food because they offer a lot of variety and they have juice bar 💕🤤 it's worth the price, I swear. If you can put olive oil or vegetable oil on side it will be better so the food will not stick on the pan plate.
Super excellent SERVICEcrew SM FAIRVIEW,FOOD 100% super DELICIOUS,..GRABEE LAME JUD SOBRA..my kidz super enjoy kaau sa FOOD tanan lame kuno,ADTO NLNG DAW SILA PUYO..LAME AS IN LAME JUD D KAMAHAYAN..SULIT ANG 888...grabbee wa koy masulti kay PWERTING BUSOGA BSAG ASA LINGI HAB2X ...
Good service. Good service. Good service. I've been to Sambo Kojin West Ave, I can surely say that the SM North Fairview branch provide better service. The crew visits the table to ask what drinks are needed. The crew are quick to provide water and other items that we asked for. Certainly, on an off-peak hour that I visited the West Ave branch, service was not this attentive.
Not under 500! But worth it :)
Birthday celebration for my tito(s). We're happy that we tried Sambo Kojin. One of the best buffet place in the Metro. Though it's pricey, there are wide selections of good food. At first I just want to grill some pork and beef slices, but I ended up w/ their prep meals. I recommend their creamy uni pasta as well as their fried chicken.
Ambience - Nice place to celebrate. I just wish there will be a long table for us, we're 16 in the family! The place is not crowded.
Service - Attentive and friendly staffs
Very recommended :)

Went here w/ my partner during his birthday, Japanese Carbonara Udon is SUPER SOLID! Place is clean, Staff were hospitable and jolly. I would recommend this for people who are looking for Japanese eat-all-you-can!
Food is good. Ambiance is good. Restaurant is not crowded. Pork and beef slices in samgyupsal are delicious! Buffet is worth the price. You must come with your stomach empty so you'll be able to taste everything.
Service - so so. For me, natataranta ang crew dahil sa dami ng tao.
Ambiance - interior might look a little fancy but super magulo during meal time sa place like ang daming tao so feeling ko nasa fast food ako ng slight. Not what I expected lang. Pero keri naman.
Food - to be honest, mukha lang maraming food option pero kung ipagsasama-sama medyo konti lang talaga. Pero keri naman. Mabubusog ka naman at masarap naman yung iba.
Mom's birthday and I planned to have lunch with my family here. My mom loves food very much just like me but she is very picky when it comes to it, but man!!! She loves every food that sambokojin offers! Fresh sashimis, very delicious korean food, meat were all tasty, desserts are incredible! SULIT!!!!
Great food, great staff and ambiance overall. Will definitely go back again in regular basis. Restrooms are also nice and clean even when the place is packed with customers. 😊
Compared to vikings and yakimix, sambo kojin is my favorite. The Japanese/ Korean selection is so good. The sushi/sashimi/makis are close to diamond hotel's.
Must try:
Mozarella Gyoza
Salmon Sashimi
Beef Bulgogi
Korean Spicy Stew
Katsus
And all the meat for samgyeupsal ❤
We ate here for my twin sister's birthday. There are a lot of foods to choose from. My twin sisters ate for free but two of us (all in all we're six) ate for 888php (the rate is regular for birthday buffets), two people ate for 688php; The total price for the buffet was 3152php and it's definitely worth it.
I scanned the place before picking up food items; Korean and Japanese foods were among my most favorite. There are pajeon, tofu, grilled pork cuts, salmons, ramen, maki, lechon, dumplings, tempura, cakes and breads, ice creams, chocolate fountain, fruits, vegetables, eggs (I love eggs. Haha), and many more. There's a free fruit shake (we got the watermelon and mango flavored drinks) for everyone; There are also lemon, apple and tea (I forgot the other flavors) flavored drinks to choose from.
If ever I will return here, i will eat a lot of grilled meats, specifically pork and salmon (I wish I could return soon.😋) I will also eat a lot of maki (however, I think I could not because it will make me feel full very fast). Oh, and one more food I want to eat more is the strawberry and sesame flavored ice cream. It's really good. The flavor is very rich.
One more thing, it is better to reserve a table before going here. I reserved a table using zomato.
Filipinos love buffets! I love buffets deep inside but I try my best to stay away from them... However it's the preferred venue for a lot of our meetings and gatherings. We have high end spreads from our hotel chains and the more affordable options like the popular buffet franchises...
Vikings is still my top choice for the mall-based ones-- best quality of food IMO. I like Sambokojin because of their grill, an added bonus to an already extensive food selection. I do tend to burn my food though!😂
One of the servers bumped into me and spilled made me spill some of my juice on myself. I know it's hard to be super careful with very busy foot traffic, but it was pretty annoying. Good thing they acted fast to pacify the situation...
Sorry, kinda bored of taking food pics at this time...😜
One of the best eat-all-you-can buffet restos that Ive tried. Very good food, very spacious place, and accomodating staffs. Will definitely visit again. 🤗🤗

The food is good, the ambiance is refreshing in the eye. Hospitable employees and amazing taste of japanese and korean cuisines. My favorite there is sushi and maki ... The dessert also is balance not so sweet ,I love hazelnut choco mousse , your money is not a waste when you dine at sambo kojin ...
I want the guy who's in charge at the grilling station he is very kind and hospitable to me .

We celebrate the birthday of my BF and very funny kase kinantahan kame ng "Birthday ng jowa mo" hahahah.😂👍🤘😍🍴 The staffs are really cool lalo na yung sumayaw ng baby shark. Special thanks sa mga kumanta samin . Given naman na for the 2nd time around masarap padin yung food. Thanks! Sambo kojin staffs! I forgot our table number haha.

Japanese cuisine is love! What else can I say? They have a wide variety of Japanese food and specialties to choose from. The desserts are also nice compared to other buffets where everything is almost bland.
My new fave! I super loooove their bulgogi! I wish they would include spicy tteokbeokki soon! The staff are very accomodating and there are wide variety of food to choose from.
I enjoyed everything all the food they have were great and good service... we tried their dinner buffet and planning to comeback to try their lunch buffet
Good dish choices and most do taste good. A bit rowdy because, well, this is a buffet restaurant so expect groups of people. The staff are friendly and nice. One uncommon yet understandable practice they do is they clean up your finished plates immediately. As i said, it was understandable but it just felt weird. But don't let that discourage you as it's a good buffet restaurant.
Been there twice with my partner. The food is always 👍🏻👏🏻 But one thing, I think SOME of their waitress there need to be train like the others. The one who assisted us was not smiling even if we smiled at her. Dalawang table kasi in-assist nya. Kami at katabi namin. As in, yung isang table lang lagi nyang tinatanong if they need anything or what. then after nun layas na ate girl. Tapos kapag tinawag mo pa parang deadma lang. hayyy. Pero other than that is a thumbs up! Pati sa pasayaw ni mayor!
I'd eaten so many times here and I prefer to dine in here than in their branch along west ave. The place is not too crowded. But during weekends, it's best to call first and reserve a table especially if you're with a large group of people.
I just noticed that they had more food options on weekends than on weekdays. I especially like their service because their waiters are willing to assist you if there's any food dish you want them to get for you. Their chefs are also friendly so you can easily ask if there's any specification or requests that you want for your food. Most of them are very cordial and friendly which adds up to the happy eating ambiance of the place. Plus, they have their performance time even if I had watched it again and again, it's still entertaining and would make you smile.
I love their food. I never went home from here without a bloated stomach. They have a wide variety of cooked foods to choose from. They have american dishes like steak (my personal favorite is rosemary lamb steak dipped in mint sauce), pasta, fries/potato dishes, burger ~your childhood favorites; korean dishes like japchae, korean fried chicken, and bulgogi among others; japanese dishes like gyoza, tempura okonomiyaki, ramen, so many sushi choices, sashimi. They also have a variety of raw food choices you can cook on your table like marinated meat, shrimp, and veggies. As for dessert, I don't usually go for their cakes and pastries as I found nothing special in them (usually like in other buffet restos) but I would always go for their specially made ice cream.
Never thought it's going to be this long. 😅 Hope you enjoy dining in here!
And were back :) i just celebrated my 25th birthday here and as always im satisfied with da food but sad because the staffs are tired they didnt sing for me, but its ok i understand.. We went here for dinner and its pricey now because its weekend and its a dinner buffet.. i cant taste all the food but im happy because my 2 brothers, sister in law and my niece loves the food.
Always a recommendation when it comes to a buffet. Wide variety second on my buffet list.
Never forget to ask for Japanese Rice.
Can't count in my fingers how many times i've dine in here, because I really enjoy their food. Authentic korean and Japanese foods plus a pinch of Filipino foods.
Superb. We've been here so many times already. This is the best sambokojin branch ever. Clean food, good staffs, very accomodating plus they really value every customer they have... Super yummy ng foods, di nakakasawa kasi maraming choices!

I enjoyed dining in this branch. Our server was great and she taught us the best sauces to use to enhance the flavor of their beef selection. (Beef w/ Asparagus in Teriyaki Sauce and Beef w/ Golden Mushrooms in Sambokojin Sauce were my favorite)
Also, the drinks are included :) 👍👍
A perfect rate of 5!!! Actually, Fairview is tooooo far from where I live but because one of my friend who lives there invited us for lunch, my friends and I agreed hehe. First time to dine here, we arrived past 12pm and we didn't have to wait to be seated unlike the other buffet restaurants. First off, the place is not crowded. My friend said that this is the biggest branch of Sambokojin. Staffs were really attentive when you need something like drink or shake refill, chopsticks, utensils, extra tissues and the bill. As for the food, I love everything about Sambokojin! This Korean/Japanese buffet if definitely on top of my list together with Guevarras😍 I ate and consumed eveything that I picked, walang natira sa plates ko. Lol. I actually have my favorites from this buffet resturant and I'm looking forward for my next food adventures here! Totally satisfied!
I had eaten here twice already so here is my review (finally!). Since it is a buffet, there are a ton of choices. There are some that you would like and some that you would hate. This buffet restaurant houses korean and japanese food and many more, but the most abundant are the japanese ones (think of sushi, tempura, sashimi, ramen, yakitori and many more). One of their attractions is the opportunity to grill your own protein such as shrimp, beef, pork all seasoned or marinated and the free unli- drinks (flavored juices and shakss).
I'l just summarize it to what I like and dislike.
Now, I highly recommend that you try their tempuras. It is one of the things that I come back for numerous times. Other than that, do try their sushi. There are a lot of different kinds of sushi and you'll definitely find your perfect match. Lastly, I absolutely love their creme brulee and mango panna cotta desserts. I tried 90% of the desserts they have, and these are my favorite. It is not too sweet and it is very flavorful compared to the others.
Now for what I don't like or something that needs improvement. I didn't enjoy their meats in the carving station and the katsus. Some of them are dry and some are already "makunat". Another factor as to why I think they need improvement is the accompanying sauce/ dipping sauce of the dishes. It lacks that great flavor to complement the katsus and the meat, bringing them down. The next thing I didn't like are their chicken wings. Now what chicken? I am not sure what their names are but all chicken wings you'll see ( i tasted every kind cuz who doesn't like chicken wings!? And I was cravung for them!). They are tough or underseasoned. Basically just though. Still, they are very flavorful, especially the yakitori ones. Aside from these, some of their flavored juices are a tad bit too sweet.
Now what stood out the most is their service. Everyone of the staff is accomodating, friendly and entertaining. They dance/ perform to their customers at time making the meal more enjoyable. The ambiance is also appealing. Not too fanc but not too informal.
Would I come back? If I am craving for my favorites, most definitely! I still think that there are other buffet restaurants that could top this one, but it is passable as to the quality of food and service they have, overall.
Do try it! and DONT FORGET TO TRY THE MANGO PANNA COTTA AND THE CREME BRULEE! They are yummy!!!! :)
This was my fave buffet place ever since I first went here. I went here so much that I got to avail two times their free buffet.
The food quality was great. The refill was fast! The meat was amazing. I always go here to satisfy may semgyeopsal craving. I always have at least 7 platters of meat. It's my goal to always reach that number so that I can have my moneys worth.
Also their ice cream is amazing! Especially the avocado one. Omg. That Ice cream is my very favorite. If only they would sell their ice cream in gallons would buy it every time.
I love loved the part that you can order shrimp pealed. SHRIMP PEALED FOR YOU. With garlic and butter. The taste was heaven. You can asked the shrimp to be cooked for you or you can cooked it your self.
I will always be coming back for here.
We celebrated my mother's birthday here at Sambokojin and I can say that the foods are all delicious and very instagrammable. For a family of 6, we paid for just 5pax since my mom's meal is free. 4.2k to be exact and it is worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant and I'll surely come back here with my mates. 🙌 Anyways... There's no raw shrimps available that time and it breaks my heart LOL 😂
It's huge and extremely traffic! That is, diner traffic :D To think that we arrived at close to 1 PM, and we have to be finished by 2 PM since that's the cut off for their lunch, and yet there were still people occupying every possible chair in every possible space of a table.
The busyness worked for me, because every dish was freshly replenished. The 10 pieces Shrimp Tempura alone that I've grabbed from its basket were pipingly hot and crispy! The salmon and tuna sashimi that I was looking for were freshly brought out by the waitstaff. I didn't bother with the array of sushis that were all beautifully arranged because I had to eat smart ;)
I was also impressed with the many ways they prepared chicken the Korean way! Notable also were the different assortment of katsus in the Japanese food section. The Sweet Corner was impressive, sadly there were just a very few ones I liked, the rest were just your typical dessert. The Japanese Ice Cream with 4 variants are a must try! The fresh fruits (watermelon, pineapple and melon) were of inferior quality so you can skip that. The space in your stomach can be used up by the grilled meat that you can cook at your table. Don't worry about the drinks, the buffet comes with all kinds of iced drinks like orange juice, mango, pineapple, lemon iced tea, cucumber lemonade and lemon water.
They have a salad section but I didn't bother with it. I did get most of the nuts from the bowl there LOL!
This is one branch that would definitely make your buffet meal so worth your money.
This branch has the widest food choices compared to other sambokojin branches (tried every branch except SM Megamall - please tell me if they got the same choices or Megamall branch has more choices) .
The staff were accomodating and attentive - they always ask what do you want to drink and they would deliver it on your table.
The meat refill is slow and you have to ask for the shrimp because t's not always on display.
The weekday buffet and weekend buffet got the same food choices. Nothing really special during the weekends.
And and and...shrimp tempura is always available!!!!!!!!
Been here yesterday and the experience was awesome! first the ambiance is really cozy and spacious not unlike in Sambokojin West Ave., that was too crowded... 2nd the food were great i love their desserts specialy the ice cream though the creme brulee was not good which is quite disapointing since its my favourite, the staff were all friendly and even assist us on cooking, they even have intermission number which is realy fun provided that they have no service charge though im willing to pay because im satisfied with their service...over all will definetly recommend and go back here again.. :)
We didnt have much time to explore all dishes since we got here pretty late, at around 8:30PM, and because we zeroed in on the sushi bar. Before going we called to make sure they have shime saba available for the night :) No uni though. Efficient server was surprised we didn't use the grill.
Their sashimi were okay (tuna, salmon and mackerel), but I really liked the aburi saba sushi with ginger. Not so much the aburi shake.
The crispy fried chicken with korean sauce was good, I paired it with kimchi rice. Takoyaki needs improvement. Happy they have greentea and black sesame ice cream! coffee jelly was okay too although the jelly was more on the bitter side, lava cake was okay but no lava. Mushroom rigatoni was good. What else did we try.. Oh curry was also good! the curry sauce for the katsu and the beef curry!
i go here once or twice a month. that's how much i love this place. worth every damn peso. P.S. there's no line at the carving station :) :)
Sambokojin, it was opened last year. While it is their soft opening, we decided to eat there just to try their food and of course, know how the place works. (So that when visit again, we know what and not to eat.) It had different sections just like other branches of Sambokojin. The first that I tried was the sushi, sashimi, kimbaps and octopus. You can say it's fresh. Doesn't smell fishy at all. The section near that had Korean food-- like galbi jjim, budae jjigae(army stew) and the famous Korean sweet wings. There were also stations for ramen, American food, pastries, ice creams and froyos. Of course, you can also get their raw meats/seafood on the buffet menu, right beside the takoyaki section. The only problem with Sambokojin is when you order soba, bibimbap or ramen, they tend to forget what you have other. Considering there were many customers and they are new, we've let it go. Rate:
Food is 8/10 -- pleasant and clean tastes.
Service 6/10 -- like I said before, they tend to forget your order.
Cleanliness 8/10
Ambiance 7/10 -- I just know they can do better with the ambiance.
I'm back, had a rest for too long!

Good for any occasion, food taste like heaven at very reasonable price! Clean dining, no bad odor, nice staff and most of all you will love this place👍🏻
I love this place. Probably the best buffet in Fairview area. Most buffet will give you mediocre dishes so that they can say they serve a lot of dishes but Sambokojin is different! All their food are awesome. Ugh, my kids talked to the manager and renamed the place 'Yumyum restaurant' ❤️😇
Sambo Kojin is not the usual buffet because you get to cook and at the same still have a wide array of choices on food. For some similar buffets where you get to cook yout own food, their prepared menu are quite limited but for Sambo Kojin, there's a lot to choose from.
Having many choices does not always translate to good and quality food though. In terms of taste, theirs is just fine, not too special or extraordinary.
The best on their menu for me is their Choco Lava ❤️, the rest are just the usual.
As for service, the lady assigned to our table, Charmaine was really friendly and accomodating but I noticed that most of the staff do not smile, including the guard. The staff had a special dance number during our visit (dinner) and most of them did not look too happy about it.
The place was spacious and the tables & chairs were not too close to one another hence there was enough room to move even if the place was packed.
Price is good and worth the food especially if you have a birthday celebrant in your group who can eat for free and a senior citizen, at least 70 years old who only pays 50% of the regular price.
No beer served with the buffet price, by the way but you can order for P95 per can.
Rest rooms are clean.
Food was SUPERB! Even my European hubby keeps on Complementing how great the food was. My eyes and my tummy was on feast that day. Greatest Buffet experience so far.
When I received an invitation from Sambo Kojin, without any hesitation, I immediately said yes. How can I say no? Hehe. Sambo Kojin offers Korean and Japanese cuisine.
Sambo Kojin fires up with even more mouthwatering treats for everyone’s taste as it takes friends and families to unforgettable culinary journeys in Korea and Japan with its premium and featured items.

Pile up plates with a variety of sushi bar favorites, kamameshi, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, robatayaki, katsu and furai from Japan.
Make some room for favorite Korean staples which includes bibimbap, pajeon, chapchae and yongnyam dalg jin (Korean fried chicken).

Sambo Kojin truly satisfies the cravings of grill diners with their wide range of flavorful Japanese and Korean culinary delights.
Shrimp tempura is soooo gooood!
And my favorite part of my dining experience in Sambo Kojin is..dessert time! Yay! The owner said that the Fairview branch is their biggest dessert corner. For more info and photos, check my website. :)

We went here last Saturday, 2016 November 19. A quick review, so the staffs were accomodating. The place was very spacious and the anteriors were so nice. Foods were great especially their desserts 😋. I am going back! ❤️

- the staff is very accomodating
- the ambiance is really good, the mood is uplifting and the place is well kept :)
- i would really recommend this to anyone, best buffet i've gone to date :)
Went here to celebrate my birthday, really love everything; the spot we were seated, the crew are fun and friendly, the ice cream is riche and they serve variety kinds of matcha flavoured food. We'll certainly come back! You have to pay for an extra charge for the tea tho, it's not even Twinnings good thing I always carry a teabag in my bag.

Tried Sambokojin a while back. I had really high expectations for the place because of the hype and word of mouth, and I found the place okay naman. I love the wide selections (though I only mainly got Japanese, the mushroom pasta, potato gratine, and a few bites of dessert). The dessert selection is vast as well, if you still have room for it, that is. Didn't become a fan of anything in particular though. And I found that I don't like sukiyaki and lava cake. I don't know if it was just my appetite that day, sorry. Kudos to the sushi, though. And the okonomiyaki. Those, I really liked.
My dad didn't enjoy his stay though so I'm not sure if we'll be going back. He didn't like the sweetness of the sukiyaki (as did I) and I think he didn't like that there was no beer (yay for us but not for him...hay). Ah well. Maybe I'll give the place a second chance with friends instead.
we are a fan of dads and sambokojin at west ave , this sambokojin surpassed our expectations and we were wuite surprised for the delicious food and wide variety of choices for the price, its like a combination of both dads and sambo at west ave , this buffet is definitely a must try
Nice ambience. Great food. I love their lambs and wide variety of sushi. The only thing they need to improve is their deserts. The cakes and pastries are too dry and not that great. And there's nothing special on their deserts that will make me crave more.
Sambo Kojin in SM Fairview is bigger than it looks outside! The place was clean and well-lit, with the constantly roving maintenance staff ensuring that not a single piece of food could be seen littering the floor. The servers are friendly too! We came there early, so there weren't many people around yet, and we got the full attention of the waiters. Even when the place was already packed, the waiters were still ready to serve us with a smile.
There was a variety of well-known Japanese and Korean food, although I believe I didn't see takoyaki when I was there. I loved the raw slices of meat they served; it was actually quite fun to cook them on the tabletop grill and pair them with the various sauces and seasonings on the table. Juicy and delicious! They don't put out a lot of food at once, but the dishes were always replenished quickly. I never saw an empty dish once even when there were a lot of people.
There was also a considerable dessert spread, which excited me as I have a huge sweet tooth. I didn't get to taste everything, but I found the cakes so-so. Nothing special. I liked the key lime pie and S'mores, though. And I loved the green tea and orange ice cream, which I generously sprinkled with rice crispies, chocolate kisses, candy-covered chocolate, and chocolate powder.
Those with big appetites will surely enjoy this buffet for its reasonable price, fresh meats, and friendly staff.
The best birthday experience both me and my best friend have experienced... It was a blast actually... Overwhelmed with the best and freshest options... It was like living in my animé world and kr world at the same time... all the waitstaffs and the dining supervisor were awesome...very attentive and really well deserved for a commendation. From start to end the experience is worth remembering... We will really come back for more :)
The biggest Sambokojin branch to date, SM City Fairview Annex Sambokojin branch is definitely a stand out on its own. Located at the farthest end of the Annex building, Sambokojin never fails to amaze me. From the wide variety of Japanese and Korean specialty dishes to the smokeless Yakiniku grill that serves nothing but the freshest ingredients to their superb service and staff's friendliness, Sambokojin's really the place to go. The price range is actually good as well because it does not burn your pocket for a little less than P1,000 (Php800++), it's value for you money. More than the food, I love their helpful staff--always and ready to assist their customers in any way they can. In fact, even if it's an eat-all-you-can concept resto, not so many people know that you can ask a staff to get foods for you. Most people think it is self-service, but if you want foods to be delivered on your table, you can actually request them to do so.
