The place is spacious and clean. The servers were attentive and responsive to our orders. Their chicken, pinakbet, bangus and mango shake tasted really good! Quite pricey tho.
Rhe last time I dined at Alex III was around 8 years ago so I couldn't remember how good the food tasted until my brother brought me here for a pre-bday dinner. I was on diet btw so I was trying to eat less rice. But the bbq was really flavorful and tender. I finished my achara even before finishing my first stick. The java rice is moist and oily and good! Definitely a place to dine in with your family.
It’s the year of the Pig and wouldn’t it be great to have a good deal on a dish that best represents it - a glistening Lechon de Leche? For P3500, this delicious porcine delight is a steal. Crispy skin, tender meat and classic liver sauce - what’s not to like?
Alex III is associated with classic Pinoy and the occasional Japanese dish that Pinoy’s love. However, I was happy to find that you can order some of their dishes to enjoy at your own home parties too! The ones we tried at their Matalino branch that you can bring home are:
* Garlic Longganisa (P400 per container) - This one is lipsmackingly big, salty and garlicky - perfect for your silog meals or with sukang iloko.
* Chicken Relleno (P1700 per container) - served hot or cold, this one is very tasty and a sure hit at your table.
* Tapa (P600 for 1/2 kilo) - Alex III’s tapa is on the sweet side (my preference) and also a great silog companion.
Looking forward to more Pinoy classics from Alex III. I heard their chicken barbeque is a must-order so I'll try that one next. If the lechon doesn't distract me. =)
Holiday Menu Alert!
There are only 42 days before Christmas and if you have not planned for the Noche Buena and Media Noche yet, Alex III restaurants have a solution for you....

Lechon is part of the Filipino tradition; it makes every celebration extra special! For only Php3,200 (Promo Price) you can order their not so salty, crispy, succulent roasted suckling pig. Definitely a value for money.

Regular Price:
Lechon de Leche - Php3500
Chicken Relleno - Php1700
It's been a long time since I got to try Alex III. I'm so glad they now offer seasonal treats and frozen goodies so I can have enjoy their dishes more often.
I highly recommend their:
1. Lechon De Leche P 3.5k (order 2 days in advance and save 300 pesos off)
2. Chicken Relleno P 1.7k (order 2 days in advance and save 200 pesos off)
They also have breakfast frozen goodies:
Tapa P 600/500g
Longganisa P400/500g
The tapa is really tasty and saucy. The longganisa is well-spiced without any fattiness so it wasn't too oily.
Let's K.I.S.S. (Keep it Short & Simple) this review away!!!
- Place has more than the usual parking space for cars. It can accommodate around 15-20 cars at the same time.
- Spacious al fresco eating area with private rooms for meetings and events.
WHAT WAS SERVED:
1. LECHON DE LECHE PROMO -Currently P3,200 instead of P3,500
Nice blend of different and subtle spices that doesn't overpower each other. I highly suggest eating this without the lechon sauce anymore
2. CHICKEN RELLENO - P1,500
When eaten without the gravy sauce, it does taste bland, but when the gravy is placed, automatically the taste is elevated.
BREAKFAST REINTRODUCTION
You can buy them as a dish or for breakfast since they serve 500g for breakfast.
3. LONGGANISA (500g/P450)
At first I thought that it's not that tasty, and I find the garlic taste not enough, however, the taste slowly creeped to become savory. THought it's not garlic-ky like how I want my longganisa to be, it does taste good!
4. TAPA (500g/P600)
For me this is the weakest link among the food that was served earlier. Not as tasty like the ones that is mentioned above but the taste is ok. Normal.
WHAT TO WORK ON:For me the Tapa's taste should be worked on to make the taste more of above average. Aside from that all is good!!!
THAT'S ALL FOLKS!!!

nice place to get a nice comfort meal. spacious and quiet resto with lots of waiting staff on attention. classic bbq chicken is the best with their all tiem favorite java sauce.
Orders: set package A (good for 5-6 pax) - I don’t see it in the uploaded photos in the menu but it includes: a bowl of nuts, Caesar salad, sushi plate, choice of soup including hot pot specialty (we chose sinigang na bangus belly sa bayabas), choice of bbq (of course we chose chicken bbq - about 7pcs in the platter), crispy pata, karekare, choice of veg (we chose lumpiang ubod - about 5wraps in the platter), pansit canton, bottomless iced tea, choice of dessert (we chose puto bungbong), 6 cups of rice - all for php2995
Food - 4: there was SO MUCH FOOD. All of them was good, but since there was so much, it’s difficult to just appreciate one dish or two
Service - 5: there was a private party the time we dined but waiters were still very attentive. Wait time was acceptable
Ambience - 3: it’s your normal family resto. Nothing really standouts
Overall - 5: it was good value for money, perfect for family dine outs that’s not too expensive and would definitely be enough even for more than 6-7 normal eaters
Buffet at Alex III tonight...
I haven't visited this restaurant in ages and I must say that some of it's charm has faded through the years... The hosptality of the staff remains the same by comparison...
We had many dishes to choose from and I started with some of their maki. It was a little odd to see that on the menu of a Filipino restaurant, but theirs were okay. I also tried their house salad which I did like-- having a lot of fruits mixed in. The rest were viands which I did enjoy-- lapu-lapu with garlic sauce, sotanghon guisado, pork belly in mushroom sauce, and the lechon de leche as pictured. I didn't like the beef shortribs kare-kare that much, just because I prefer that thick peanut sauce. But I think their chicken barbecue is really good and they maintained the quality all these years. Really one of their best dishes.
I did have to skip dessert because I was too full already. Btw, the garlic coated peanuts are pretty addicting!😃
What I like: camaron, pansit, pakbet bagnet and chicken BBQ.
What I can skip: maki
What I love: place is very conducive to long conversations. Good lighting and very attentive and friendly waiters.
One of our family favorites, we know the menu of Alex III by heart and our servers by name. This is one of those places where you can get great Filipino food and topnotch service. I always come here for the Camaron Rebosado and their Pancit. Each visit is memorable and we always leave with our stomachs happy and full.
The first thing i really liked about this resto is the service, food was served quickly, staff was friendly and approachable. Their food is also delish though their pancit is a bit salty. The food i really liked is their shrimp maki, chicken barbeque and sinigang na bangus belly in miso.
Their pork barbecue is something else. The pork is really stuffed into that stick. Add to the fact that it is of high quality, tender and very delicious and you can understand why I am raving about it.
Food was delicious and serving was generous. It's reasonably priced given it's classic restaurant set-up. Place was spacious and had a nice ambiance. Staff were quick and approachable. :)
I go back for the classic chicken bq . Yes , there are bad days that chicken is smaller , and a little dry than usual. But generally, the quality of the chicken bq is ok. Besides. if you complain about your chicken given a valid reason, the head waiter would cordially replace it. The sotanghon soup is best at this branch, it is always freshly made and not salty. I actually prefer this alex branch than the roxas boulevard aristocrat. Though jam packed all the time, the food already taste like it's been made in a factory....mass production style. Sometimes served room cold and no deep flavor.
