Dined here with my dance crew family, I enjoyed the food hut the place is not spacious. Also dined here before with my family. Thereβs really something special about this place.
Masarap ang tapsilog. Matamis, flaky yung tapa. Garlic rice swabe. Honest to goodness, Pinoy na Pinoy. Mura at nagdedeliver pa. Will try the other dishes soon.
Yum! Good to eat breakfast here. I started to eat rodics because of my sister. She let me try their lechon paksiw, and i couldnt get enough. I started craving for it. Good thing we have a branch near us at sm marikina. Serving is good for the price. Youll need extra riceπ. when we went to tandang sora branch, my fave lechon paksiw was not available, so disappointed but at sm marikina, its always available.
One bad thing about eating at rodics, everytime i order lechon paksiw, its always COLD. Even the rice is cold. Hope they can do something about it
Their tapa is the best. The sweet flavor is what I like about it. There are more good food in the menu but their tapa is what I really like. Haha. They also sell other foods like biscocho and pastillas which really tastes good. Prices are affordable and worth it. Cleanliness 7.5/10. Food 9.5/10.
Tip: Ask for soup/broth, itβs free. I donβt know in other outlets but here they donβt give one unless you ask for it.
Rodic's is my one and only favorite breakfast place along Congressional (where I lived for 8 years).
Everybody knows that the Tapsilog is great, but the rotating ulam options are also really good. I had Beef in Mushroom Sauce, and I loved it.
The place is clean. The service is alright. The parking is adequate for the restaurant size.
First time to try rodicβs and I wasnβt disappointed. I tried their famous tapsilog but their displays offer dishes good for lunch or dinner that made me think a second trip is in the books. So the famous tapsilog, it was a bit sweet but savory. Egg was perfectly fried sunny sideup and the garlic rice was good as well. I prefer my sinangag a bit drier but still good. At 95php, its a bit high for students on a budget but its the price you pay for this culinary experience.
Just get the kaldereta here and forget the others. Trust me, it won't disappoint! The tapsilog which they are known for is always dry and hard to chew, the kaldereta on the other hand is always juicy and flavorful. Must try!
Food is great. Binabalik balikan namin yong Kare Kare baka super sarap πReasonable price. Place is super cozy. Good place for family. πnext time na naghahanap kayo ng restaurant na mura at malinis punta na kayo sa rodics π
I went here two or three years ago when it was fairly new. I'm not really sentimental about their tapa despite my being a UP Alumnus (this was a staple in the SC of UP Diliman).

For me, para syang sosy na tapa place/silog place hahahaha
Malaki yung place compared sa branches nila sa UP and Maginhawa plus airconditioned pa yung branch nila dito with flat screen tv.
I ordered their baconsilog which is okay for me if you paired it with kechup.
I also ordered their halo halo which is yummy - kumpleto yung toppings. I just wish na sana mas pino pa yung ice π
Mabilis din yung service sa place nila.
I will definitely come back to try their famous tapsilog.
Still the best tapsilog in town - that flaky, salty, anise-y sweet tapa sprinkled over a steaming bed of fried rice and fried egg. Other dishes that you also must try are the pork steak and the kaldereta. Whenever I feel nostalgic or just plain hungry with a limited budget - Rodics is the place to be. This branch, which is not even walking distance to anywhere, (it is right in the middle of Congressional Ave. Ext., and near the gate of an exclusive village) gets quite the crowd during mealtimes, and the empty parking lot beside them can get full at lunch time. The interiors are very clean though some of the tables could use a little upkeep as they are rather wobbly.
Best seller talaga nila ang tapsilog.
Hindi tinipid sa tapa,at kanin. Hindi ako fan ng calderitang may gata, pero masarap ang caldereta nilaπ€. Less than 200.00 good for 2 busog na kayo.ππ
The best tapsilog ever! P95 lang sulit! Dito sa branch na to dami din iba ulam. Also tried kare kare for P90 without rice. Ang sarap din! Hindi tinipid sa sahog. Iba ang ambience dito, medyo high end na carenderia style. Aircon at may TV. Mabilis ang serving. Thumbs up!
This place is so simple.. peacefuL.. sarap mag dinE.. sarap ng food.. sarap uLit uLitin.. sana wag Lang maubusaN ng caLamansi juice.. πππ
This is the best Rodic's Diner here in quezon city. (I mean than UP and Maginhawa Branch) The place is so elegant and classy! The price is still the same with the other branches. Tapsilog is really worth a try!!! So delicious. π
First tried this in UP Diliman and was very happy they have a branch near my place. This is my go-to all day breakfast resto. And I like this branch because of it's clean interiors with a big wide screen TV where you can watch while waiting for your food though they serve really fast π
Love everything on the menu. Sobrang sarap ng tapa forevs! It never gets old but you gatto eat while its still hot or pangit na siya pag malamig

The best tapa sold in a best outlet at the best location! They're lacking parking space though. Soon Congressional ave. extension will be a highly commercialized area and roadside parking will be quite troublesome.
Mas gusto ko yung branch na to kesa sa iba. May aircon at maganda yung place. Syempre the best pa din ang tapa nila tapos hahaluaan mo ng suka. Sarap! Nakakadalawang order ako palagi hehe
It was my second time to try Rodic's but I've seen their other branches. This branch is airconditioned and has a nice interior. I would suggest you sit outside especially if it's a windy night.
I'm not a fan of tapa but I like their sweet shredded tapas. I suggest you mix the egg with tomatos or just catsup and vinegar. Their bopis is also a must-try. Still Looking forward to try other viands next time.
The staff at the counter were unfriendly but the one who served our meal was accomodating and funny.
The "upscale" Rodic's does cost a little more but, to me, it's worth the airconditioning and overall experience.Β
And I'm still a sucker for their kaldereta, dinuguan and tapsi.
I'm a huge fan of their tapsilog (can't beat a classic!). And my fiance also enjoyed the other viands he bought (he was that hungry). He had beef ampalaya and a vegetable dish (sorry forgot what it's called). Will definitely come back here to relax and enjoy the food :)
Imagine Rodic's with aircon and nice seats and tables but food with the same price. They have perfected the system on how they make their food. Tastes the same no matter which branch and their tapsilog is still one of the best!
RODIC's is an iconic fast food first opened in UP Diliman in 1949. It has been a staple not just to students but now to many as it has opened branches all over the metro. Classic bestseller is their Beef Tapa rice with egg. Also good in their menu are kare-kare, dinuguan and lechon paksiw. Dishes are very affordable!
Comfort food. Tapa classic...the best! Othe food is very homy at least you feel you are just eating at your own house....Ambiance feeling at home...pajama terno while eating your fave food...
Yummy shredded tapsilog :)) you should also try their sizzling sisig. the downside of this place is their unfriendly staff tsk tsk. I visit this place once a month for my endless tapa-crave :)
Me and my partner another food escapade lands us here at rodic's tandang sora area where i always pass by going to work. They are known for their tapa and my partner loves tapa. I on the other hand loves a good tocino meal. Too bad it was not available when we went their to dine yesterday morning. I ended up liking their tapa because it's more on the sweet side perfectly paired with their vinegar. Btw they have lutong bahay food too, canteen setting. Got my eyes set on their dinuguan :p love their school spirit peg to in their alfresco and cute wall mural display. Hope service people can be more on a happy vibe mode, would have made me rank them 4.5 :p
The food i always order here is tapsilog, their tapsilog is actually beef flakes on top of the rice served with egg. It was actually a canteen but serving the right amount of food for the right price you're paying. It is what they call "sulit" simply because the food is enjoyable, and delicious.
It could be a 'sosyal na karinderya'. The food are mostly lutong bahay. What I love most here is the dinuguan. Its so yummy and could finish 2 serving. Although the price is high.
Super yum tapsilog for 85php!! I was surprised that they are already serving different viand of menus like "dinuguan, lechon paksiw, humba" etc. very affordable meals. This is your typical "classy" "turo turo carinderia" (turo mo bayad mo). Pay as you order. There is aircon and non aircon for smokers. Parking is on the left side of the resto, very limited. You can also park on the street side at your risk, though there is a security guard from the resto. They are open as early as 6:30am and closes at 11:30pm. Will always come back and will recommend it.
