I was supposed to order oysters with bleu cheese but the cheese isn't available, so I had the Rockefeller instead. Knowing how difficult it is to prepare oysters, I find the 6-piece Rockefeller reasonably priced at P200++.
The oysters are fresh, doesn't taste and smell like petrol, and very delicious!♥️
I also ordered buffalo wings since it's labeled as a specialty in the menu. Unfortunately, I didn't like it. The wings are way too drenched in sauce which looks like ketchup, the cucumber dip doesn't complement the wings, and the wings lack heat. Well, oysters are the resto's specialty so I guess I should've stuck with them.
I'd definitely come back for the oysters.😊
Never been to Oyster Boy Cubao, but have lots of good memories at the Ortigas Branch. Tried many of their variations - steamed, baked, etc. and always paired with white wine. Thank you for the good memories Oyster Boy!

Oyster Boy won my heart on our first visit here in their Cubao branch. I LOVE their food. My team and I had a dozen of Oysters in Cheese and Garlic, Labuyo Chicken in Garlic Rice, Crispy Sisig, Pecho Inasal, and a couple of beers. Oysters in Cheese and Garlic were to die for! Although some of the oysters are still small in size, the taste made up for it. Oysters alone were both briney and creamy in taste and this tells me that they were fresh and clean when they were cooked. The cheese and garlic added a savory taste. I tried ordering another dozen but was informed that they they are all out for the day on oysters which really shows you that OysterBoy oysters are a hit. The Labuyo Chicken with Garlic Rice was a shocker for me and my team as we were expecting a chicken that was so hot that we would no longer have a functioning palate. However, we were faced upon a juicy grilled chicken that has a sweet chili taste. Who knew that siling labuyo can taste so good when cooked. Yes it is spicy but there is a hint of sweetness that also comes from the chili that makes it taste so delicious. The crispy sisig was again another good dish for us. I am very particular with the sisig that I eat as I am not a fan of eating animal fats and do not like having the oily feel in my mouth. The sisig we had was incorporated with egg and I was able the eat a lot as the sisig are mostly meat rather than fat. It doesn't have the gamey flavor that I don't like in most innards dishes. The Pecho Inasal was our least favorite among our orders as it was obviously overcooked when it was served to us. The Inasal was accompanied by a seasoned soy sauce that made the taste better even if it is overcooked. The flavor was there for the Inasal, it is just that it was overcooked.
There is also a wide array of beverages available in this restaurant. Given that this can be considered as a chill out place , there are a number of foreign and local beverages. I must say that some or their food are not "instagramable" on their presentation but on any given day, I would always prefer a food that taste exeptional rather than a bland food that is presented well.
Overall, the place matched my expectation or even surpassed it. I would have given this review a perfect score if only the Pecho Inasal was not overcooked and they didn't ran out of Cheese Garlic Oysters. Staff were also really friendly and accomodating and price of both food and beverages are reasonable.
Been here twice. One of my favorite here is the bbq with vegetable fried rice. Foods are great. Staffs are accomodating. Will surely back to this resto.
The female servers were nice, we ordered all their specialties. We liked the food, it was served on time. Our bill was fast too. The place was full and they have a good background music. They should make the volume higher though, sometimes it got too quiet and the whole place was so awkward. The food was delcious, it was affordable with good servings.
The servers were all nice, our female server were always smiling so that's a plus already. She's attentive and polite. She assisted us with our food and bill. Good thing they renovated this one, now it's cooler and staff were nicer.
This is my go to restaurant whenever I crave for oysters. The oysters are fresh and locally sourced. And i also love the fact that they carry my favorite beer which is the guinness irish stout. Their cheese and garlic oysters are good as well. The only thing I dont like about this plce is that the service is not that good. Takes a while for my orders to be served.
Perfect place in Araneta Center to grab a cold one after a day's work. They have lots of beer, terrific bar munch which includes fresh oysters of course.
This place just got renovated so I guess the place is clean. The place is cool to hangout in with their huge tv screens showing sports programs. You can also sit at the tables near the window or outside so you can people watch while sipping that cold one.
I have been here twice ordering mainly cocktails and oysters. They have well-mannered servers that are willing to explain menus and take requests. For my second visit I asked them to mix some drinks for me and they gladly did it. I would say the proces are OK for an average earner. I ordered Lumpia Wraps to go with my cocktail and the serving was a bit large. I also ordered their grilled, japanese style and oriental style oysters. I liked the japanese style oysters best.
It's the NBA Conference Semis and we are looking for a place to watch a game and chill down on a Saturday morning. Oyster Boy is one of those spots that hosts NBA game viewing on their wide screens. They also have a wide selection of beers, hard drinks, cocktails, and wines to offer, both local and imported. I have to try yet their oyster dishes being Oyster Boy and all but even still at their soft opening, the place looks promising. And I got this feeling that well be going here more than often for the NBA games.
Went here for a dinner last March 23. Location is very searchable which is just infront of Araneta Coliseum.
We ordered 12pcs fresh oysters with lemon, 6pcs garlic and cheese oysters, pork bbq, baticolon, atay and pork sisig for our main course and chocolate cake for desert. All tastes real good.
For our drinks we ordered soft drink and pine orange juice, i was shocked that they have a special pine orange juice yo be served however, it was just an in can del monte which is 80 pesos. Holy cow, 80 pesos for it.
We're really full and we paid 1,500 including their service charge.
I've been visiting this gastropub since I tried it. Its really my type of bar, not that so expensive, the food was great specially their oyster kilawin and kare kare. I do suggest that you order their kilawin with a bottle of cerveza Negra served with lemon slices. It divine, perfect for a "chillax night"

first glance at the place and it was just okay for me and we went here to eat not to drink and i was so hungry that time but i admit that they serve delicious dishes especially the bangus sisig and their fried rice was the bomb

• Food: Tastefully GOOD! Local delicacies are perfectly cooked for it to be tasted, as if it was really cooked by your mom at home. I tried most of their best sellers and it is called for that very reason. Try their LAING, BAKED OYSTERS, ADOBO FLAKES and FRESH LUMPIA. You will feel like you never left home. Good job!
• Price: Amazingly AFFORDABLE. The food has general price ranges from 80-250 pesos per order. You will get the worth of your payment.
• Ambiance: Nice and fair! You will immediately notice the big octopus at the ceiling and you cant stop your temptations to take a picture of it. The lights were perfectly matched and to lighten up the area. I think what should be done differently are the tables and chairs' set up since its a little too crowded, especially when all of the seats are occupied. Nonetheless, the general ambiance is just fair and creative.
• Customer Service: fairly fair. The orders are given at a timely manner, the waiters are accommodating enough.
• Recommendable: DEFINITELY YES! They operate 24hrs and I am sure it is a worthy experience to try this restaurant.
Just two staples for me. Steamed oysters and pinakbet. Amongst all restos, oyster boy has a better batting average of a good supply of oysters from iloilo. It's a hit or miss though. Sometimes, oysters are really fat and juicy. Sometimes, they are fairly small but always fresh. Their pinakbet is my kind. Not salty, the veggies properly cooked, still has that crunch, with mellow sweetness, with just little pork. I am never the bagnet pinakbet fan. Love my heart!!! The place though smells , looks like an " inumam" kind. . Yet, when I crave for oysters, I come here. I still love our local supply than the imported ones.
Nice hangout for get together. My high school friends and i always frequent this place every time we have balikbayan friends.
