Good food, hefty servings and attentive service
Nearly everything we ate that day was heavenly. Top picks to eat here would be the Crispy Pata, Sinigang na Hipon, Adobo Rice, and Suman with Chocolate for dessert. I loved also their Pandan Iced Tea (which you can upgrade to be bottomless). No issues encountered when booking thru Eatigo. Service was only a little slow, but the food doesn't take forever to prepare 😋
Crisostomo has been our go to family resto. Truly good food. Tho pricey. We ordered 2 of each (wasnt able to take pictures of the squid and relyenong bangus) for 10 persons.
I love how well-lit and spacious the dining area is.
The food is delicious, and definitely worth the price. The desserts come in small servings, but they're really good.
Service is also great!
The dishes that we ordered are very delicious. Love the Bangus and laing... Ung morcondi kona napicturan pero okay lang .. masyado malasa ung liver para Reno ginamit. The service is 👍🏼👍🏼. Very attentive and they always refill our water kaya nabusog agad ako. 😄😅 Will definiitely go back to try other dishes. ❤️
We celebrated my fiance's birthday here and we enjoyed the food
Ambience 5/5
Price - value for money 4/5
Staff 5/5
Bagumbayan Lechon 5/5
Quiroga 4/5
San Gabriel 4/5
Liwayway 4/5
Great Filipino Food! Great Ambience! although the price is a bit pricy for the amount of serving! Title of their food very interesting 😊 like manok ni san pedro! Sinigang na Miso is a MUST Try!
Had a great dinner here with my family. The dishes were good. Love their Laing with Lechon Kawali and Kare Kare as well as the Isaw but I forgot to take picture of it.
Crisostomo is a perfectly okay Filipino restaurant, it's not a place that would ever really blow you away, but it's solid. Their sizzling tofu and squid al jillo appetizers are pretty good, but my favorite dish has to be their adobong pusit. The adobong pusit kind of tastes like a better version of the squid al jillo, they seem to be the same garlicky base but with some extra flavor added on. Their paella negra isn't too flavorful, I wouldn't go for that again. Their tuna belly is fine, but it's pretty pricey for what you're getting.
Visited the branch for merienda cena last March10. Staff were efficient in handling our advance reservations. They also waived the corkage for the small birthday cake I brought in which was sugar free (they didn’t have that). Food was excellent to name a few - the pork adobo, the kinilaw, the squid, etc I think this branch is better than the others service wise.
Crisostomo is one of the go-to places whenever I go for my holiday in PH!!! Their version of all time Filo favourites is one of the best I've come across so far, and everything is worth the price. Top picks are Selya (palabok) and Don Rafael (Deep-fried pork leg).
Came here with my family just few weeks ago and they loved the filipino dishes in their menu. Whenever we eat outside, least choice talaga ang filipino restaurants, kasi sabi namin “ we can cook filipino dishes sa bahay”, kaya we’ll try another restaurant the offers different cuisine. Just to cut it short, crisostomo is one of the best filipino restaurant (for me 😊) .
We love their bagnet and variety of seafood. Staff service is highly recommended. The resto extended great effort in hosting our dinner with our foreign guests.
Don Rafael Crispy Pata - Yeap, crispy in a way na hindi siya matigas. Malasa yung meat. Good for sharing for only 695 pesos
De los Santos Plate - Wow ang daming laman! Comes with pork bbq, liempo, chicken, binusog na pusit, bangus, tahong, inihaw na tahong and achara. Perfect to if madami kayo kasi good for sharing na talaga. Nakakabusog!

My family and I had our late lunch at Crisostomo UP Town Center branch today and ordered our usual set. Here's what I think about their dishes:
1. Bolas de Fuego - the perfect appetizer, especially if you like street foods such as fish balls and squid balls
2. La Paz Bulalo - love everything about their bulalo - rich taste, tender beef chunks, and a whole lot more!
3. Liwayway - it's your daing na bangus but with lots of crispy garlic bits (really yummy for garlic lovers like myself)
4. San Gabriel - nothing really special with this deep fried chicken with pineapple sauce; it was just ok
5. Isagani - oddly, the rellenong bangus we had today wasn't as good as in our previous visits
Special mention also to their garlic rice. Delish!
Staff / attendants were quick to respond to our requests and were ready to help us.
Went here with my family for Father's day.
Service: 4.5/5 Considering that it was Father's Day, the service was quick and efficient. They attended to our every need and even took pictures of us as per request of my mom.
Ambiance: 4/5 It was good and really inviting. However I felt too cold that I had to ask if they can adjust the temperature.
Food: 5/5 I loved the food. every single food we ordered is really good. We had the Calamares ni Tales which was consumed less than 3 minutes or less. It took more cooking time than when we ate it. Tastes fresh and with just the right amount of spices. We also ordered Tinapa and Salted Egg Rice which was really delicious, Mais Ala Sibyla, Don Rafael (Crispy Pata), San Gabriel (Deep Fried Chicken), Salome's Secret (SIzzling Squid), and Liwayway (Daing na Bangus). We were able to eat everything except for the Chicken which we ordered for my 11 years old brother thinking he might not like the other food hence it was packed for take away. Well he loved it. Even had to order 2 extra rice. We were four in the family including my brother.
My family had a great time here in celebration of my grandma's birthday. Service was speedy, and we enjoyed every dish.
Our appetizers were papaitang baka (Florentino) and baked mussels (Protacio's Pride). The soup had a sour almost-sinigang taste. The mussels had a delicious melted cheese layer, but it went a little overboard with the salt serving.
I couldn't get enough of the tangy Sinuglaw Tarsilo and kuhol/snail (Caracol), perfectly paired with coconut milk and kangkong. Onto our mains, the Lengua Laruja had the right amount of tenderness, while the crispy beef pata (Don Rafael) was, well, crispy and nicely seasoned. For dessert, we shared a slice of mouthwatering mango cream pie (Olimpia).
Our first visit here at Crisostomo was amazing. My folks had lots of fun reading their menus which were named after characters from Philippine literature. The place is small but well maintained. Food is great and very tasty too. Customer service is also an A+. Overall it was a pleasant experience, another addition to our list of food spots! 😁👍🏻
It’s my first time at UP Town Center and since I’ve been craving for aligue rice for a long time already, the aligue rice on Crisostomo’s menu caught my eye. Crisostomo is a Filipino restaurant named after the protagonist of Jose Rizal’s novel, Noli Me Tangere. When we went to Crisostomo, the place was full and we have to wait for around 10 minutes for a vacant table.
For appetizers, we had Bolas de Fuego (PhP 255) and Bagumbayan Lechon (PhP 295). Bolas de Fuego was presented as a friendly entree for both adults and kids alike. It came with deep fried crispy fish and squid balls and sweet chili and fish ball sauce on the side. If you miss eating clean Filipino street food, you’d want this on your table.
Bagumbayan Lechon was another amazing entree that’s reliably good for scratching your itch for familiar Pinoy food. Deviating from tradition slightly bit, it’s not the usual chicharon you can expect but lechon kawali chips paired with liver sauce and garlic vinegar. It’s almost sinful so I’m sure some people may be torn between the balance of eating for pleasure and eating for health.
Moving on, we had Sinuglaw Tarsilo (PhP 310) which was composed of grilled pork belly and tuna cooked by soaking in vinegar. It’s downtown culinary play and uptown elegant class. We loved it with rice. Altogether, the taste was tart, bright, complex, refreshing and a little sharp with acid. The fish stood out as it was firm on the exterior but with a tender, translucent center.
Kangkong Con Selo (PhP 150) could bring joy even to non-vegetarians not only because garlic kangkong (water convolvulus or water spinach) tastes absolutely delicious but also because there’s lechon kawali chips in the mix. Kangkong is also one of my favorite greens to eat. They’re long and almost noodle-like, fun to twirl up with chopsticks, even if they get messy sometimes.
Stuffed with laing (taro leaves cooked in coconut milk) and served with crab fat sauce, tempura-style prawns Legazpi (PhP 525) were so filling and modernly mouthwatering. Packed with so much flavor, this dish is what you can consider funky enough to be distinctive. One week later, I was still dreaming about eating it…again and again!
Pinoy Paella (PhP 450) was especially enticing because of its vibrant color and aromatic ingredients. It was carefully assembled with prawns, chicken, inihaw na liempo, and chorizo and yielded tender grains of Spanish rice. This paella can be described as homely in the best sense. It’s about marrying lots of different elements rather than elevating one big thing. The precise combination of these give it is characteristic flavor.
The family ate here on Fathers' Day, so there was a queue outside, although we waited for only a relatively short time. The beef morcon was delicious; it's sauce is to die for. The kare-kare was also great; lots of meat and vegetables swimming in creamy sauce. The only thing that made it less than perfect was the bagoong--tiny serving and it had ginger. Ick. Even my mother, who's not picky, didn't like the taste. Bagoong makes or breaks kare-kare.
Their keso langka shake was awesome! It's thick and creamy and something I've never tried before. I also loved Madrid, a frozen choconut pie. I have a huge sweet tooth, but I appreciated the tame sweetness of this dessert. The servers were very attentive, refilling our glasses without us having to ask despite the fact that the place was packed and there were still people waiting for seats outside.
I will definitely come back because I want to try more of their dishes. I love Filipino food even if I taste it at home!
First review for this year! Credits to this restaurant for serving us their wonderful and delicious food last weekend. I admired their twist to our traditional Filipino cuisine. I love their seafood kare kare and their chicken with lots of roasted garlic. They also have a wide variety of entree. They even have fishballs and squidballs for starters. Servers are very attentive and they even have screen names like Tiburcio or Paeng. This is my second time to visit Crisostomo. The first time was in Resorts World and I must say that they are very consistent with the quality of their food and ambiance of the place.

I've been in Eastwood and UPTOWN food tastes consistent but ambience in UPTown is better. Explains the long queue for a table. Keep it up! 👍
ALIGUE (Crab Fat) RICE FOR THE WIN! This restaurant is VERY generous with their ingredients and really gives you what you pay for with the aligue rice. Very very tasty with a lot of aligue mixed in with the rice. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
For sinigang lovers (like me!) out there, this restaurant is the best choice for you! Crisostomo serves fancy versions of our ordinary "lutong-bahay" dishes. Their names came from characters from Noli Me Tangere and El Fili too which makes 'em unique. The ambiance is good for large groups of friends and families who want to dine while enjoying long talks. I'll probably come back here for their Sinigang Gomez and Olimpia (Mango and Cream Cake) ☺️
After a client meeting , i decided to have an early lunch and was looking for a good place to relax and eat . I came across this Filipino restaurant "Crisostomo" , which named after the character in Noli and El Fili novels of our national hero,Jose Rizal . Crisostomo restaurant serves authentic and delectable Filipino cuisine . The place offers elegant and relaxed ambiance ,which can either be used for business or just for plain casual meetings. Their menu boasts of popular mouthwatering dishes such as the beef salpicao , tofu , pork sisig and sinigang ni eva . After eating all those cholesterol-heavy dishes, you may also want to try their healthy and refreshing bottomless malunggay kalamansi juice. Overall , food is great! Food servers are all welcoming and service is swift. Prices are affordable . I will definitely be back soon!
The place is nice same with the crew and the food. Bait nila! Must try! Tapos chill lang ng mga music nila na nakakagaan ng mood habang kumakain. :)
Food quality 8/10 squid salad ✔✔✔
Food variety 9/10
Service 10/10 fast, approachable servers
Cleanliness 9/10
Ambience 9/10 i ❤ white interiors
Price 6/10 too expensive
Serving size 9/10 just enough

Had lunch here with the family last weekend. The place was packed, but luckily, there were still seats outside. It was along the area where people stroll around so passers-by can freely observe us and our eating habits (haha), but "dedmabels"--as I would put it 😁
We ordered their Pinoy Paella, Bagumbayan Lechon, Sinang con Laing plus an extra rice (which apparently was not enough, as my dad and brother eventually still ordered another cup). Everything tasted delicious, plus our orders complemented each other. My favorite was the paella. I'm honestly not fond of this dish, but I'm now a certified convert. The rice itself was so flavorful that it could be a stand-alone meal; the shrimp, eggs, meat, chorizo were a flavorful plus!
Staff were also very attentive. The restaurant was full but they never failed to refill our glasses with water. They were also quick to respond when we requested for something (ie., additional sauce, etc).
Overall, would love to eat here again. Crisostomo was absolutely another awesome discovery of the family 😊
The food is great but nothing so special that worth the price like the bihon that cost arnd 390 its so plain no meat all i can see.is the pugo egg.place is clean.service is ok.
Its my second time to visit this great resto in uptown. It is truly a turn of a century dinner for a pinoy dinning table. Pricy yet reasonable and great for sharing. No wonder why people flood this resto and wait for their turns to be seated. All stuffs are good. The only thing I missed is their bestseller puto bungbong which they removed in their menu. Its an original pinoy dessert, but why?
First, the service, we experienced a not so good service. I had to debate with the servers because they assured me that I am the third in line so I had to call the manager to fix the mess or else I need to receive a compensation for that inconvenience. They should learn to manage those customers who are waiting. They should have a particular waiting area. Do not allow your customers to stand up, offer something maybe a seat or water.
Second, the ambiance, it passed at least my expectations. It has an Ilocano set-up which my family appreciated just as I did.
Third, the food, we ordered Santiago (Kare-Kare), San Gabriel (Crispy Fried Chicken), and Rellenong Bangus plus Rice of course. The Kare-Kare is good, I didn't even needed Bagoong to feel its savory taste. The Rellenong Bangus is kind of "crumby-ish" when you slice it. It breaks into pieces, which for me is not okay. The Chicken is actually great and tender, I don't need to ask for catsup/ketchup to eat it.
So, I think, if I didn't experienced that inconvenience, I could say I had a great time.
It definitely offers authentic Filipino food! We tried their Bagumbayan Lechon, La Paz Bulalo, Sinang Con Laing and Pork Sisig and they all tasted scrumptious. Their prices are a bit high pero sulit naman. 😉
They serve really good Filipino food! Everything we ordered was superb. Crispy hito, binagoongan, paella negra, dinuguan, sizzling sisig, adobong pusit, pandan rice and ginataang halo-halo for dessert. Everything we ordered was good but my only concern was the dinuguan was a bit salty. Crisostomo is one of my favorite Filipino restau and yeap! They really know what they're doing.
Service was a bit slow though.
(Wth, I deleted almost everything from my camera so I only have few photos :()

A little pricey for Filipino restaurant, but it's definitely worth a try! They have attentive servers who really know whats worth the try in their menu. Love the seafood kare-kare, pinakbet with bagnet and the mango torte!
When i eat out with my family or my freinds the usual pick are always.. japanese.. american or italian food.. growing up eating filipino food.. i kinda think that it would just taste the same every single time..n adobo is adobo and sinigang is sinigang... it would either taste good or not so good...
Oneday the family decided to eat out and we went to UP town... first picks werd always the same... either american or japanese.. so i said why wont we try crisostomo... they just told me (may sinigang sa bahay.. pinoy food talaga). I said lets just try it...
Place has a nice ambience.. the servers are very welcoming.. and the menu...
Its like 7pages... theres a lot of selections...
So we tried out the food... and i never expected it to be that good...
Filipino food at its best...
Dishes.. taste.. amplified by different combinations of ingridients...
This restaurant serves one of the best filipino dishes out there...
Overall... this restaurant is one of the best... a must try..
Especially the desserts!!! Just wow!
I ate here for the first time with my bosses during my internship and boy did we pig out. The crispy pata, liempo, laing, bagoong rice were so good!!! Although I don't have pictures of them, I did manage to save a pic of the desserts. I never knew how divine frozen brazo was. I'm hooked. I wanted to order a whole one for myself. I still do.
Crisostomo serves a wide variety of Filipino food from their appetizers, main dishes of chicken, pork, beef and seafood and of course their desserts. The names of their dishes were creatively made, giving you a hint of Filipino history. We tried different seafood dishes, chicken and their sinigang. Their food is expensive and I don't think they have a specialty dish. The ambiance is nice and spacious. We didn't have to wait long for our seat to be arranged. The service was fast. Great service but needs twist on their menu.
I went to Crisostomo for dinner together with my entire family. I'm a sucker for crispy pata so we ordered their Don Rafael Crispy Pata and as I tasted it, it took me immediately to heaven. Their Keso De Bola Cheesecake is also good, though I got weary halfway of finishing it. The place is great though it was a bit way too crowded when we dined there.
The food, ambience, and most especially the service were excellent!! We had Don Rafael Crispy Pata, Bahay Kubo, Dinuguan, and Tawilis but we weren't that satisfied with the latter. Overall, it was a great dining exp! We're definitely going back!
Celebrated my friend's graduation from MBA here at crisostomo. I have so much love for filipino restaurants and i must say that this resto has raised the bar to the next level! Their sisig is one of the bests ive ever tasted! And the florentina(papaitan) is really good!!!! B
The food is amazing!!!! It's really worth the visit, but the price is quite expensive, it's something you should invite your family for dinner. I'll be definitely coming back.
Love the seafood kare kare. Will definitely come back every time I crave for crispy tawilis. I don't need to go to Tagaytay for that.
Service is prompt. Almost too prompt. ;)
The name of the restaurant actually came from the name Crisostomo Ibarra. It's actually decorated and organized to fit the Jose Rizal theme. Everything in the menu depicts the people and places related to our late national hero. Expect elevated Filipino flavors.
Went here for lunch to celebrate Mother's day ? I love the pork barbecue and the lechon sinigang! And as for their Mother's day treat, it was really cute of them to give my mom and my grandma a mug for their day plus a family photo ?
A newly opened restaurant at UP Town Center, Crisostomo is a new generation Filipino restaurant. Its interiors is that of an old fashioned Filipino-Spanish home. Even the music inside the restaurant are all OPM Songs.
Food was really good. The Molo Soup or Sabaw Molo was a big hit to my kids. I can imagine my self sipping it on a hot rainy day. My personal favorite was the Stuffed Squid or Salome's secret. I love the sweet marinade combined with tomatoes and onion inside the perfectly cooked squid. Manok ng diablo is also very good. We just had the chili served separately so the kids can enjoy it as well. Sisig Lengua is also a must try. I also like the Lumpiang Hubad although I wish they presented it in the old fashion way and not as a salad.
We made the right decision to have Melon juice for our refreshments. It felt like home drinking that and i was brought back to my ancestral home memories. Dessert was also fantastic with their Kapitana Maria or Brazo de Mercedes (which also served as my birthday cake) was sweetened jusr right. My son loved his Halo Halo. So many ingredients in there and i love the banana chips surprise.
Our dinner went so well because aside from the good food, service was also great. Food was served fast and waiters are attentive.
