I have eaten in most highly promoted and highly rated restaurants around the country and yet, this place brings me back to palate memories of yesteryears! It has been over 20 yrs since I had dinakdakan from Santiago Isabela and your dinakdakan was a spot on reminder of those flavors and textures as if I just had it yesterday. I have tried many a dinakdakan in Manila before but nothing as close to the authentic one I had in Isabela. The decor is simple yet well coordinated. If you are a foodie yet can't travel to all places where food is a living, then this is a slice of travel you can do in the city. Kudos to the management and kitchen staff!

Quaint restaurant in Maginhawa. Ambience is perfect .... makes you feel like dining in a typical Filipino home. Food choices are great and at reasonable prices. For dessert, one must not leave without trying their melts-in-your-mouth bibingka and puto bumbong with a twist. I don’t mind having those for dessert everyday.

The food is very good, the theme is perfect, the staffs are very nice. If ypu ask the guard on duty for the parking, he can refer you to a parking attendant (barangay tanod). The price is costly but you won`t mind it because of the quality of the food.

We ordered Kare kare, bulalong tagaytay,Bicol express, okoy and adobong balut. Taste is good especially Okoy na parang chicharon it's new to me.What I don't like is bicol express puro taba kaya lalo nagmamantika. Kare kare is good too kaya lang di ganun karami yung laman na ox tail daw, it is more on veggies but cooked tender. The serving is good for 4 to 5 person except for adobong balut it is only 3 pieces. The foods is quite expensive. Ambience is good it feels like you're in province.

I think what we have paid for was the amazing ambiance. I'd def recommend this to some of of our foreigner friends but I'd say for my husband and I? Not again. The serving size is too small for the price, the taste of the meals were above average. We were honestly looking for something extraordinary on the taste to justify their prices but none were found. Though we'd still give 4 for the friendly amd polite staff.

It's hard for me to find a restaurant with good Filipino food because our household cooks reaaaally good food. I like their take on local cuisines. It's simple and taste is on point. We had our small civil wedding reception here and their food offerings did not disappoint. I specially love their tinumis and puto bumbong.

Please read the full review from the link. Thanks!

Excerpt: The laing dish (taro leaves in coconut cream with pork and chili) was delicious. It was creamy and the leaves had the right texture to them. The pork pieces added the right amount of fat and meat taste to the dish. It was the first dish that we finished.

The grilled tilapia was ok. The fish meat was not as flaky as we would have preferred it but the taste was good.

The Binakol na Manok (chicken soup with lemongrass and coconut meat) was delightful. It tasted like tinolang manok but with coconut meat. Tinolang manok is a Filipino chicken soup dish that has a strong ginger flavor and in the binakol, the sweet coconut meat was a perfect complement to the aromatic chicken soup.

The puto bumbong (purple rice cake) tasted good. Puto bumbong is made from steamed glutinous rice then topped with margarine, shredded coconut and muscovado sugar. Their version was good as it was not too sweet and the rice cake was moist.

Great colonial style atmosphere bringing you back to the old days of traditional fine dining. The menu offers a selection of Filipino dishes from different regions and influences, from Visayas to some Filipino-Spanish favourites. Food is elaborate and tasty with good presentation and even a sauce bar to choose your favourite vinegars and sauces. Beware it can be crowded at times, and some dishes are not always available. Also, things can get slow at times, but in peak hours the waiters seem to do their best with a reasonable result. All in all, a top place to visit in Maginhawa and a spot to take foreign tourists to if they want to get familiar with Filipino cuisine.

Provenciano - "ang sosyal na probinsyano"!

The menu is a collage of Pinoy comfort food splashed thru different regional cuisines and culinary influences.

The dining room has interesting Filipino design accents that is both homey and provincial. They do have some dining spaces for more intimate dining setting and even a cabana for outside seating which would be good when it's nice and cool outdoors.

I was happy with what we got to order:
Ginataang Hipon, Sitaw, Kalabasa at Malunggay - Fresh shrimps stewed in coconut cream with a balance of long string beans and squash. A bit in the salty side, really good with an extra serving of rice.

Chinoy Pako - a salad of fiddlehead fern, salted egg and tomatoes with honey calamansi vinaigrette

Pesang Lapu-lapu - a simple dish of fish simmered in a light broth with petchay and great with the miso paste.

Kalderetang Kambing - goat stewed in a rich tomato sauce with chicken liver and bell peppers.

For Teacher's Village, this place is pretty pricey but very popular. Parking could be a headache on busy night in Maginhawa area.

They do have an interesting Sawsawan Bar that you could concoct your own dipping sauce to go with any of your dishes.

If you are looking for a restaurant that offers authentic regional Filipino dishes, you've come to the right place. I especially love the crispy tadyang, sopas and the shrimp in Alavar sauce. The baby squid in olive oil is also very good, but watch that they don't serve it in ink, as was the case today. The humba was surpringly good, with banana blossoms and the right hint of sweetness. Don't pass up the chance to try their bibingka and puto bumbong. The latter is served with condensed milk that gives it the right sticky sweet note to end your meal. The ambience of the restaurant is homey and Filipino so it's always great to invite balikbayans here. They also have a sawsawan bar where you can mix your own sauces. You can choose from various vinegars, fish sauce, and spices. Make sure to avoid the lunch and dinner crowds as the place can get pretty busy. Overall, a great place for Filipino food.

The place to go to for excellent Filipino fare!

Dalandan Cucumber and Dalandan Orange were our refreshing beverages.

Beef Salpicao and Lolo Nanie's Sotanghon were our starters. Salpicao was good as was the vermicelli soup with chicken and thin slices of bitter gourd.

Tortang Poqui Poqui - an Ilocano dish - was very good. So was Adobong Manok sa Atay - adobo in liver puree sauce

Hard-to-find in the Metro is Pako (fern) salad but luckily this homey restaurant in Maginhawa strip has it on their menu aptly named Chinoy Pako. The 4 of us also enjoyed escabecheng lapu-lapu at support sa alavar. Be sure to cap the meal with freshly-cooked puto bumbong at native bibingka. Sarap!!!

This restaurant feels like home. Their interior will surely give you that feeling of being in the province. I went here with friends on a Sunday so the place was quite full. We waited for about 20 minutes to have a seat and it was worth it. The food was good though the place was full the serving time wasn’t affected. We only waited for about 15 to 20 minutes for the food to be served. It was a good experience and I’ll definitely be back.

First, they have good interior that gives a probinsya-like feel and reminds you of home especially for someone who comes from the province like me.
The food is good. I enjoyed the crispy pata. Not a healthy choice, I know. All the rest were just ordinary. Serving is a bit small for the price. I don't know waht kind of rice they use but it's heavy on the tummy.
Waiters were very friendly.
The only problem is, when all guests start talking, the place gets really noisy in an irritating way. Maybe because the place is enclosed.

Amazing experience! We had the crispy pata, litsong tadyang, laing, and McArthur’s rice.

The listong tadyang was very flavorful, exactly taste like lechon baka (mainly perrin sauce). It was tender on all edges! It wasn’t fatty also. Malasa ‘yung meat, mapapa-rice ka talaga. It didn’t have the kick of spiciness, but it wasn’t too salty at all. Just plain perfect.

The crispy pata was another winner! Whenever you eat crispy pata, there will always be this dry tough part of it that you don’t wanna eat right? Plus, the balat that is chewy and gooey? This crispy pata just shows the exact opposite! Gusto mo kainin lahat, you can feel the salt and pepper rubbings as you munch on the last piece of knuckle. Yes, kaya mo kainin hanggang sa huling piece of meat. Amazing. Best one yet! It didn’t feel like eating transfat!

The laing was also great, a bit on the salty edge though. It could improve by being more spicy.

The McArthur’s fried rice was also delicious. Although it was a bit dry, meaning the rice was kinda stiff, it was still yummy, a balanced level of saltiness complimented by the little kick of crabfat.

I am super looking forward to get back to try their other dishes!

We ate our late lunch here on a Sunday and I was surprised that the place was packed at 3pm. We ordered Hito, Bulalo, Okoy, Bibingka, Dinengdeng and Puto Bumbong. My companions liked the hito and Bulalo. I didn’t try those. The Dinengdeng was just okay. I liked the Okoy, it lives up to the hype. It taste as good as it looks. The puto bumbong was a revelation, its the best of all the dishes we ordered. It was so tender and it’s really really delicious. Service was efficient even if it was packed. I’d go back for the okoy and puto bumbong.

Great place, homey, cozy, and well ventilated. The place represents the interior of old houses built during the Spanish colonial. Each section of the restaurant has different theme and are all sophisticated.

They serve Filipino food from which are delicacies from different region in the Philippines. They have a sawsawan buffet where you can mix your own sawsawan for your meal. We tried their CRISPY Pata, which is oven baked, not just fried it was baked. Well seasoned not too salty. It is definitely crispy outside, tender and juicy inside. We also tried their DINAKDAKAN, i like it because it doesn't have a lot of mayonnaise. Their McArthur ALIGUE rice is to die for, you will really return for more.

Staff are all attentive, courteous, and welcoming.

Price is right, for the food that we ordered with 2 bottomless iced tea we only paid not more than P1600.00 and our tummy are so full.

We'll definitely go back.

We were invited to lunch at Provenciano for my aunt’s 50th birthday... It was set at Sunday lunchtime. It was our first time at this restaurant, but we were prepared for the parking situation since it’s Maginhawa...

The place is styled to look like an old style Spanish-Filipino house. It will make you want to say words like muebles and kubiertos.😅 Anyway, it was seriously packed. The tables were spaced way too close to each other. Probably done in an effort to accommodate their high volume of guests. I wasn’t able to look around much, so I cannot report if they have a function room available. We were all kind of smushed on a long table, barely able to squeeze into our respective seats.

There were a lot of things served, but there were a few that stood out for me...

🍽 Chichalak at Atchara: hello pork cracklings. Meet my tummy.

🍽 okoy ng Calamba: thin sheets and served with superb vinegar! So good! asim sarap na nakakakilig!

🍽 Molo ni Lolo: delicious when consumed immediately

🍽 Lechon kawali: I seriously just like a good lechon kawali. Give me the Mang Tomas and rice... and keep them coming! Their version should be served with unlimited rice. Goes well with the Provenciano ensalada...

🍽pancit hab-hab: it’s great to come across a good pancit now and again... I would recommend this.

🍽 inasal na manok: I don’t often get to try chicken inasal, but I really do enjoy this dish. Annato oil and vinegar included.

🍽 puto bumbong: so so good. Finer texture than the ones we get from street vendors. I preferred this over their bibingka. Bibingka was a little dry.

It was a delicious, filling, and hearty meal. The staff tried to keep up with the crowd, but they were way outnumbered. They were a little gruff with the customers. The parking situation is typical of Maginhawa restaurants- BAD. You keep getting called outside to move your car. Bathroom was pretty dirty. The atmosphere is a little warm because even the A/C can’t keep up.

But the food is really good and relatively cheap. So there you go.⚖️

We find this restaurant a bit pricey for a Filipino restaurant; I guess this is to compensate for their large menu (which can be very overwhelming). Their menu consists of an agglomeration of different filipino food and cuisines from various regions found in the country!

The food is good (filipino food done well) and cooked well. The serving size of some dishes though does not justify their price.

If there is something you should try from this place, it’s their bibingka!! It’s really really good! Now, we’ll have to make time to go back and also try their puto bumbong!

My family’s favorite restaurant.

Pros:
👌🏽 Beautiful place where you can spend a few hours in chatting with loved ones
👌🏽 Staff are responsive to any request
👌🏽 Food are almost always tasty as well as reasonably priced

Cons:
👎🏼 The food takes a while to arrive though which may be because of the large volume of diners
👎🏼 Parking may be a problem during peak hours; luckily we saw that the building next to it allows 2hrs parking for P25

What we ordered:

1. Okoy ng Calamba - 3.5/5
Pretty good but I think I’ve tasted better okoy. You may want to order other appetizers than this

2. Binakol na Manok - 4.5/5
My favorite among our orders. The coconut meat was a pleasant surprise. The only reason I’m not giving this a perfect score is because its a little too salty, but still very good. Would re-order

3. Sinanglay - 4/5
This dish came 30 mins before we finished so I was stuffed when I had this and wasn’t able to enjoy it fully. Tasted good, my brother seemed to really like it.

4. Callos - 5/5 (?)
Not sure what to rate this since I don’t eat meat but this has been a constant order of my brother whenever we visit this place. Might be good to try

5. Sinugbang Pusit - 3/5
The squid was too tough and the flavors weren’t able to make up for it. Skip this

6. Puto Bumbong - 5/5
The best I’ve tasted of its kind. Much better than the version of Via Mare, hands down. Loved how soft the kakanin was and the combination of the salty cheese and the sweet and nutty muscovado sugar was spot on. Dont leave Provenciano without trying this

Ordered Sinigang na Baboy, Rellenong Talong and Puto Bumbong and 3 Rice for 800+ pesos. It was an okay experience in Provenciano, nothing special with the dishes that surprises you, just good old Filipino cooking. Maybe my expectations were quite high as I was expecting a bit more twist to the dishes. If you want classic filipino food you won't go wrong with Provenciano. It's a bit pricey though, the Rellenong Talong goes for about 200+ for one serving.

Went there 2 weeks ago to meet two different sets of friends but that was probably my 6th or 7th time to visit the place. It must be popular in the Teacher's Village area because it is spacious, artsy, and offers a wide variety in it's menu.Their adobong pusit and Chinoy pako salad are very good though the first was unavailable and we didn't order the second.

My first group of friends ordered Sinanglay,Sugpo sa Alavar,Tortang Poqui-poqui,Bulalong Tagaytay and Sinangag sa Kalkag. My favorite was the Sugpo sa Alavar, and the sinangag sa kalkag was still good as ever. The tortang poqui-poqui was just like your run-of-the-mill tortang talong. The bulalo had a generous portion size for both meat and veggies.Sinanglay was also tasty enough.I wasn't so pleased with the service to this group because the waiter didn't offer a solution on where to place our extra bags so our latecomer guest could promptly sit comfortably.

The second group of friends had a Balikbayan couple plus us locals. They relished the Provenciano Ensalada,Crispy Pata,Bicol Express.Desserts were puto bumbong and bibingka. They are both normally good but this time one order plus our take-home one was pale and undercooked. Our waiter at this table,I think his name was Ryan, was very proactive, anticipating the needs of the guests, like encouraging us to order the bibingka ahead because of the longer cooking time.

All in all it's a good place to bring your guests specially Balikbayans.Just don't expect that all the regional food will be authentic as some are not.Table reservations and prior ordering of bibingka and puto bumbong are highly recommended.Parking may be difficult during peak periods.

A sophisticated restaurant specializing in Filipino food, this place is truly a gem located in the middle of Maginhawa street. From interiors, food, and even staff, everything just works. Their interiors bring you a touch of Filipino homes with beautiful decors. The food selection has a wide variety, and range from meat, fish, to vegetarian dishes. All classic Filipino cuisines. I was able to try their lengua and sisig. The serving is just right, as well as the flavors. I also tried their Okoy, which was surprisingly really good! Had lunch here and I appreciate the hospitality of the staff. The owner (or manager, not really sure what her position is) was very accommodating and I loved how she gave suggestions on what to eat especially since we can't decide since there is a variety of food on the menu but all Filipino.

As for the food it was okay, nothing too extraordinary though. I had kaldereta and lechon kawali. My companions loved the bagoong and my mom loved the salad. Their special Filipino desserts such as bibingka and puto bumbong were very tasty and a lot of people were ordering it. I had the guinomis which was also good. As for iced tea lovers though their bottomless wasn't too good. Perhaps a solo house blend would be better. The other drinks being served also looked good.

So if ever you crave for Filipino food and nice quality time with the family, this is a good place to go to. You won't miss the place since the sign is huge enough to be read. A lot of cars are parked and they have a kalesa in front of the restaurant.

Went here to celebrate my graduation and for introducing my girlfriend to my mother over lunch. I booked a table through the app and they responded quickly. We arrived there passed lunch time, around 2 pm so most of the food in their menu were not available already which was kind of a disappointment. Most of their recommended dishes were out already. When we finally had our order, the waiting time for the food was reasonable all though for some reason, it wasn't quite hot or it didn't appear freshly cooked as you'd expect if you we're waiting for that long which kind of makes you wonder if it really was cooked fresh. The "piniritong kinulob na manok" was very dry, it wasn't crispy and I wouldn't really recommend. The adobong pusit wasn't available so the waiter recommend the "pusit sa bawang". It was a small serving of really tiny pusit and some big chunks of garlic. We also ordered the liempo with bagoong, ginataang puso ng saging, ampalaya with eggs and shrimp, and the sinangag sa kalkag. The pork and squid viand was super oily for me. They tasted great though. I'm not a big fan of binagoongan but I loved how crispy the pork was and the sauce was a little bit sweet and not too salty. I just cant get over how oily the food were. The price of the food were a little higher than it should be but not totally expensive. Good enough for family dinning. The place has a nice touch of classy, homy feels to it. They had decent restrooms and attentive waiters. Would've rated higher if they still had some of the food we wanted to order, if the service was a bit faster since there were only few customers left, and if the food arrived looking newly cooked.

Very happy and satisfied with our visit to Provenciano last night. Been meaning to eat here a long time ago and finally, tonight is the night.

The place is beautiful and clean. It has a feel of a well maintained ancestral house with airy, spacious, large dining area and machuka tiles to seal the ambiance.

The menu is loaded. Lots to choose from; those with the kalesa mark is their specialty.

All of our orders are delicious. No more need for patis! Pancit molo is good for sharing. This is really tasty, a comfort food. Baby pusit sa bawang, the puso ng saging are good. The serving portion kinda small for this two. Kare kare is thick and sweet... not my preference but the taste is ok. Gambas.. yummy!!!

Guinomis lacks the gata flavor. The bibingka is excellent! A must order every visit. The putubumbong, is just fine.

Servers are attentive :)

Pretty impressive enough for a Filipino cuisine adventure. Very good ambience too! Hardinera a little disappointing because all you can taste is soy sauce it covered the real taste of pork meat.

Will I come back? Practicality wise - No. Local carinderias can also cook the same for a way more affordable price. Only good for a one time visit.

We chanced upon this resto while looking for a place to have an early dinner. Since I haven't had any initial feedback on this place, we asked the servers what they recommend or which dishes are usually ordered. We were just told to look for the menu items with the bestseller icon.

So we randomly ordered and here are our comments on some:
- Dinakdakan - my hubby was not happy with this dish, he said that there seems to be something missing that he can't put a finger on. Though my brother said it was ok for him. Me on the other hand can't decide since I'm not very familiar on how this dish should taste like.
- Escabecheng Lapu-Lapu - I loved this dish! Just the right amount of sweet and sour for me but my hubby said it was too sweet for his taste.
- I ordered Palitaw for dessert but was served something with a thick syrup so we were told that their version of palitaw is the one with the syrup (latik). They changed the item to the one I was expecting, the white one with sugar and sesame seeds. It was ok but nothing special.

Over-all, price is a bit high. The price would've been ok if food is great. So far, the experience was ok but not a place where we plan to always come back to. Sad to sa that we were happier with the barbecue and grilled isaw sold across the street.

We went here a few weeks ago, sorry for only doing this now. the McArthur rice is really awesome. i love the deep fried catfish and the side that goes along with this dish. you have to eat it with the side it makes it more special. i tried the kilawin. i honestly am not a fan of 'kinilaws' but provenciano change my perspective on this matter. will definitely pull a McArthur on this restaurant!

Loved the resto's interior. The Bulanglang sa Bayabas was unforgettable. However, I didn't like the "Okoy ng Calamba". It's too crispy, I still prefer the usual Okoy with shrimp and papaya.

Provenciano was able to capture an authentic Filipino ambience with a touch of elegance. The place is very relaxed & cozy. It is similar to Victorino's on many points, though this one has more inviting interiors.

The restroom's cubicles, however, are too literal for being "probinsiyano." It could use more sturdy dividers, for privacy. Although the toilettes were very clean.

Into the servers, i must say, most of them are quite good looking similar to Victorino's. I jist.hope they do not hire/discriminate based solely on looks.

With regard to the food, we ordered:

1.Laing ni Ateng: very salty

2. Litsong tadyang: THIS IS A MUST ! Super yummy & tender, good for two to three persons, provided you have other orders.

3. Pusit sa bawang: very tasty & very similar to Victorino's. A MUST TOO.

4. Piniritong kinulob na manok: its appearance reminds me of Max's, but different in taste. Their's has lemon grass. This is average.

5. Kilawing puso ng saging sa gata: this is one good reason to go vegan.😊

6. Kalkag rice: similar but superior to java rice.

I have not yet fully tasted all the offerings. But i am definitely coming back.😙

Good for dates, families, friends & informal.meetings.

Provenciano looks like an upscale restaurant at Teacher Village where you can bring your family and balikbayan relatives/friends. Nice homey interior and true Filipino setting. You will love the sawsawwan bar as it caters different types of combination to make your very own sawsawan. Order different viands as their servings are quite small in proportion to the price.

Must try is the Adobong Pusit, it will make you eat even the last drop. Squid is not gummy at all, perfectly cooked. The dishes that we ordered may not be spectacular but it IS Filipino cuisine.

Super good!!!! Dining here was so worth it!! Not only the place looks good, and also the food! You'll definitely taste the "probinsyanong luto" to their menu items. When you enter the place, you'll be amazed with it's decors and design. They took on a Spanish-Filipino era I think, you'll wish it was your house 😉 but nonetheless, it really was great dining here. Ordered the Okoy ng "Calamba"
, Chinoy Pako , Pusit sa Bawang, Hinornong Liempo Balamban ng Cebu, Diningding , Kare-Kare, McArthur's Rice, Puto Bumbong, Turon sa Sikwate and Guinumis. Will surely come back here!! Just some tip, make sure to reserve a table, especially on weekends, the place is always fully booked! 😊

Place is cozy, you get that homey feel since the place looks like a large dining area of an ancestral house.

Food was okay, atleast as far as what we have ordered. Laing, crispy Pata, sisig, ensalada, puto bumbong and bibingka. What I would highly recommend is the Pusit sa Bawang, man it's really good! Probably the only reason why I would go back here.

Despite the inattentive service, unavailable items on the menu, and some dishes missing their marks on flavor (extremely sour tamarind broth and the kaldereta a tad too salty), Provenciano has a ton of promise as Maginhawa's go-to for family-friendly Filipino fare. I'm rooting for their service and food to soon be at par with their excellent restaurant interior.

Now here’s a fancy restaurant along Sikatuna called Provenciano. :) The restaurant is beautiful and I was so lame to not take photos around. Ugh. I think this place is best dined with the entire family. You get to enjoy all classic Filipino dishes in a reasonable price range as well. I am in love with their Laing as well us their Kare-kare complimented with savory of Peanut sauce. The inihaw is of course a good match for the Laing too!
Our little menu:
Kare - Kare - 495php
Laing - 215php
Inihaw na Baboy - 295php

We just came from CCA Katipunan to inquire about a culinary class I will be taking next year. Since it was in Quezon City, I thought that it's also the best time to visit Maginhawa for the first time. We left Katipunan a little before 10:30am and arrived Provenciano at 10:40am. The parking area was still empty since the restaurant opens at 11am, so we just parked and waited for the time. As soon as the clock ticked 11, their doors opened and we got off the car.

This place is jam packed on a Saturday night mostly with big group like families and barkadas that's the ambiance this place is giving everyone "home".
If for the food alone it's good and can make a 4-4.2 but due to service I'm quite not so happy about it, quality of service should not suffer over guests quantity it's a big place they are expected to have more attentive servers...😌
Filipino taste that's whats it's all about starting off with Molo Soup clear soup with soft molos really a warm start.
The for the mains we had Kare-kare tenderness of the meat is good, vegetables are not over cooked, the sauce however though it tastes good I must say it's too oily but the sautéed shrimp paste wow really good. Which brings me to their mango/salted egg ensalada just the usual but the shrimp paste made the difference.
The shrimp with Alabar sauce is very nice as well just the sauce itself is satisfying.
The crispy pork is indeed great but sinful and most parts are not meat but fat.
The hit of the day would be the chicken adobo well balanced sourness, saltiness and sweetness scrumptious

Lots of folks for dinner on a Tuesday night since it's one of the few that's open November 1. While the place was packed, the food did not disappoint, making the wait worthwhile.

We had the Lechon Kawali in Bagoong (really crispy binagoongan with manggang hilaw), Laing, and McArthur rice (aligue rice). They were good and made my wife & I really busog. We also ordered desert even if we were full just because we couldn't resist.

Because they had lots of different dishes on the menu from all over the country, maybe they can make recommended pairings, like what ulam goes with a gulay dish. Similar to binagoongan + monggo and Bagoong and mangga rice. That way it makes it easier to chose for those really not familiar with the dishes.

That being said, babalik pa ba ako dito? Maybe. The food was good but wouldn't be something I'd go back for. I'd come back to try the other dishes since there's so many intriguing dishes to explore

Pinoy food is always gonna be love.

First of all, the place is love at first sight. For all those artsy enthusiast who likes to dine in an ambiance of a bit sophistication, Provenciano provides it without a doubt.

Second, the art pieces look great. I love that part of it.

Third, everything taste great. I kid you not when I say this. We ordered molo soup, sinigang na bangus, kare-kare, pinalutong na hito, crispy pata, laing, ensalada, and puso ng saging and everything was honestly very good! Definitely a place to visit again. Make it your next dinner-date.

Their Tadyang ni Enteng and garlic squid are favorites I will keep  coming back for.
Not everything tastes excellent.  I will skip their callos... tastes no better than a turo-turo's version.   Their calderetang kambing needs some makeover too.
Order their bibingka and puto bumbong, best eaten as a combo. Make sure you instruct the waiter to serve them at the same time.  When orders pile up, one is served long after the other has been consumed.
Service evidently suffers when place is overbooked.
If you are carrying a senior citizen card, make sure they base discounts on actual headcount.  The cashier could be reckless. He based the headcount on reserved seats.
Provenciano remains one of my favorites, notwithstanding.

Sunday lunch time when we chose to eat here. Thankfully, we were early for about 10 minutes (we didn't make any reservations). After that time, people came to the restaurant non-stop. In a matter of 30 minutes, they were already full packed. Amazing, isn't it? That's why I highly suggest you do reservations before going here.

Provenciano Restaurant is probably the most eye-catching restaurant along Maginhawa street. Just from seeing the Kalesa outside the restaurant and seeing its landscape, it will already make you want to try what they have to offer.

This restaurant has the spot for one of the most affordable food place ever!! We had less than 3k in the bill but our tummies are full. Feels like we ate in a buffet restaurant.

Please please order their Pusit sa Bawang and Karekare!! Pair it together with their McArthur's rice!!!! Surely, you will come back for more.

I highly suggest this restaurant for family or friends get together. So worth it!

It's our first time here , we planned our visit to this restaurant , knowing that it gets really busy everyday specially during lunch and dinner , at 2:00 pm on a Saturday there is still a considerable crowd in the dining area , we waited for at least 20minutes to be seated , but it's all worth it , I was craving for sinigang na hipon so we ordered that, we also had baby pusit and "hinornong liempo balamban" .. What I love about the sinigang na hipon is the generous serving of shrimps , the size is relatively large , the vegetables were really fresh. The hinornong liempo was very tender and flavorful.. Our dining experience was great ! The staff was courteous and attentive.
I'm excited to try some of their native sounding dishes as well :) definitely going back here .

Tip: Parking in this area of Maginahawa street is terrible , consider car pooling or getting a cab going here , less stressful :)

Chichalak is a mix of chicharon skin and chicharon bulaklak... good for the tummy not good for the health ha ha ha

Adobong baby squud is one of their bestseller and i agree with everyone.. naghahanap ng kanin ito

Balamban Liempo 💪💪💪

Diningding - so so

Palitaw sa latik - a different version of the sugar on palitaw, instead of sugar they used melted palm syrup

Puto bumbong is really chewy and good, i could finish 2 orders on my own

Bibingka 👍👍👍👍

I always see this restaurant jam packed when I pass by, So I thought I will eventually give it a try at some point.

We tried to eat at Provenciano one night, It was not that full because it was 9-10 P.M. We we're greeted by the nice ambiance of the area and the place feels nice to eat at.

We ordered chicharon, sinigang na baboy, rice and chicken inasal. The serving of the sinigang na baboy and rice was good for 2 or maybe 3. but the chicharon serving is small so don't bother. Chicken inasal tasted good too!

Overall the place is nice to dine in if you want filipino food, but it comes with a price. It's not that expensive compared to other high end restaurants around.

27Feb16, a saturday night on the busy street of Maginhawa.
Some foods tasted have no photos (so please bear with me)

Not the usual type of how people would dine in here because this was a once in a lifetime event. A reception party, for a married couple. This couple chose to share their love for food, because nowadays, we forgot how Filipino foods taste. Usually, when you dine in a fine restaurant like this, you'll glance up the menu and take an order. But, for us, it was a buffet of Filipino foods.

There were series of pampagana, sopas, luntian, manok, baboy, baka, isda, gulay, merienda, panghimagas and kanin to complete the course.

What's on the buffet table?
Chicharon
Molo ni Lolo
Chinoy Pako salad
Pusit sa bawang
Sinangag sa kalkag
Pancit hab-hab ng Lucban
Hinornong Liempo
Ginataang Tinola
Pinalutong na hito
Pinakbet
Kaldereta sa barrio
Leche flan
Turon sa Sikwate

I didn't got the chance to try every food that was laid down. But all foods were appetizing. The foods I have tasted were all great and have a unique taste, not like the others. My first time here and it surely gave me a remarkable experience. The staffs were good (especially the waiter who have been serving us water since we sat down up to the last part of the time). What captured my heart the most, of course my hubby, well aside from him, is their foods plus the ambiance of the place. (OF COURSE THEIR TURON AND HINURNONG LIEMPO, The best)

We literally need to get out of the mainstream side and enjoy the classic taste of OUR food.

It was a pre Valentine date with the girls..

Place & ambiance - it was nice for a fine dining restaurant .. That night was just too cold for us, maybe because the AC was pointed on us.. But the whole place was awesome..

FOOD - you've got a lot of choices.. Dishes From northern part til the southern part of the country.. We ordered :
Crispy pata - it's delicious the condiments are complementing the pata..
Mc Arthur rice - this was superb.. The salted egg and the rice it's like a complete meal.
SAWSAWAN CORNER - lots of condiments feel free to do your own thing and it's cute 😄

Services- it's good but the waiters are too busy with other customers since it's full on that day.. Still service is tolerable

Well since the place is too cold we finished our meal right away that's why we haven't ordered dessert.. Next time will try one..

It was my second time eating at Provenciano awhile ago and it's Valentine's Day. My family and I had to wait for almost 15 minutes to get a table. We should've called before hand and make a reservation but it was actually an out of the blue decision to eat there that's why we had to wait.

The Place - A perfect score of 5 for the place since it looks like an old filipino house with beautiful lights, frames, chairs, tables, etc. Even the utensils and plates are nice.

The Service - The waiter almost gave our order to the other table. 😔 We also had to call them to every time our glasses of water are already empty. 😔 3/5 for the service.

The Food - I gave the food a perfect score of 5 also because why not? The dishes made me feel nostalgic. It's like I'm eating food from the province cooked by my Lolas. The Pako Salad, Kaldereta and Molo soup are a must try. Not a fan of their White Adobo but my parents and boyfriend loved it. ❤️

This restaurant is fairly new on the Maginhawa strip and it also is one of the pricier places.

I have to say that I enjoyed the food. They serve a lot of different Filipino dishes whose roots are from different provinces of the Philippines. I don't know about the authenticity of the dishes, but they're definitely very tasty.

I've only been here once with my family and, together, we had everything that looked interesting on the menu. Nothing was bad.

Just be advised that everything is really flavorful. So, if you're in the mood for that, then this is a good place to have Filipino food.

The space itself wasn't that impressive. It's a modern looking home that they tried to make more country by plastering wooden things around.

The staff was attentive when we were there. That's always a good thing.

Am rarely in this part of town and I went for a friend's afternoon tea party. I admit there are probably good dining places in Maginhawa. Expect me to traverse this area soon.

Provenciano is a Filipino restaurant with a twist. It serves classic and modern Filipino done differently. It can be on adding something or presenting it in a more interesting way.

I got to try their merienda. Celebrant served lugaw, pancit, tokwa't baboy, fried lumpia and a selection of desserts- turon, Bibingka and Palitaw. Yes carbo load before dinner.

What's good was fried lumpia. Fresh taste despite fried. It's crispy and compliments well with their vinegar. For dessert it was the Palitaw served with strawberries. Now that's awesome.

It doesn't feel like you're in Maginhawa when you enter the place. The ambiance will give you the probinsya feels from its interior to their restaurant music. Great food for a very reasonable price. Good service and handsome waiters too hahaha LOL. This is a hidden treasure of Maginhawa... Good for family lunch out or dinner. ☺ Not giving a full 5.0 rating because I think its hard to find a good parking spot.
