A humble but homey and nice branch! I already had my first TokYu experience at the Kapitolyo branch but so far I liked this one along Panay Ave. more. The manager of the branch is such an attentive lady. She attended to our orders and they even offered to split the sukiyaki into two so we won’t have a hard time sharing one bowl. We only waited for 10 mins or so, and came out a good sashimi platter and very warm sukiyaki, which is perfect for a cold weather night. They’re all very nice and I heard another lady endorsing the ramen to a new group of people that entered and explained the difference of each ramen. I heard some BONE MARROW version. OMG. I am curious and would like to try that when I come back. Good job, TokYu Panay Branch! Missed their sukiyaki! 😋❤️
Ordered the medium salmon tray for P1150 and it was super sulit. This is my parents' favorite sushi place. Price is really affordable for the quality. And their wasabi is legit. Masakit sa ilong kahit konti lang 🤣 salmon is really fresh too. Perfect contribution for pot luck haha
One of our officemates craved for a jap resto for our lunch. I searched in Zomato & the good reviews brought us here. No complaint! Satisfied with all our orders.
Salmon sashimi
Kani sakad
Beef ramen
Gyoza
Kakiage
Tuna toppings (sorry, I forgot the name/s)
It's a small place but full house. Parking is also a big challenge.
Service is good.
Prices are reasonable.
Food are really good.

My daughter was craving for jap food so i brought her here.
Salmon sashimi at its best. Melts in your mouth.
Californi maki needs more jap mayo though.
Friendly staff.

Sobrang the best authentic yet affordable japanese restaurant for me. Late 90's pa lang dito na kame kumakain for our japanese cravings fix! 👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome japanese food at a budget friendly price. No wonder this place is always crowded with customers flowing in. The service was so fast and staff were polite and friendly.
Tokyu houses a variety of Japanese bowls and great deals of Sushi platters. This restaurant can be found near Quezon avenue along the stretch of Panay avenue. We ordered Yakisoba, California Maki, Salmon Sashimi, Tempura, Gyudon, and Katsudon for a pocket-friendly bill of Php1500. They also offer party size of sushi and sashimi.
The serving is huge and the flavors are just right. Staff is actually nice and efficient.
One of the best Japanese cuisine spot in Quezon City. With a very affordable price, you'll have the chance to get your taste buds filled with Japanese goodness. The place is pretty suiting too, not to mention the nice crew and their food handling skills are awesome.
Love their sashimi and tempura! Quick service and ample variety of dishes. Ambiance is not that great but hey you go there to eat in a very reasonable price! 😁 Parking is a problem so just park across the street or near the supermarket.
Food: 9/10
Ambiance: 8/10
Service: 9/10
Affordable sushi and sashimi with a great taste for its value. The sashimi tastes fresh and the sushi are freshly made. Serving portions of one super mix salmon sashimi is enough for one person. Fast service and serving time.
Definitely will recommend this to everyone.
Ordered:
Super Mix Salmon
Salmon Sashimi
Beef Misono
Mixed Seafood Misono
This is our go to place when we want quick Jap lunch. We ordered Tuna Misono (P160) and Mixed Seafoods Misono (180). As usual, serving of 1 meal is good for 2, just order an extra rice if you want. Must try are the misono meals and sushi platters. Good Japanese food (though not the same as other high end Japanese resto) even on a low budget.
affordable sushi and japanese dishes here at Tok-yu. They have nice sushi platters which you can take home for events. place is a bit oldish but clean enough. tried the maki rolls and they were pretty good :)
Affordable Japanese dishes @ Tok-yu in Quezon Ave.
Didn't knew it, til my brother takes us for lunch. Not the usual Japanese Resto that we usually go to.
Place: Quite small, has less than 10 tables. Can accomodate up to 15 pax. Its jampack last time.
Food: they have tempura, ramen, sushi, sashimi. The usual. We had:
🇯🇵Super Mix (P260) -it has 4 maki rolls of Tekka,Cali, & Kani, 2 rolls of Sushi, and 5 slices of Salmon Sashimi. - its okay. However, texture of maki seems like it was stored. Not freshly made. But its okay na.
🇯🇵Beef Misono (P160) and Chicken Misono (P150)- both are good, served with bean sprouts. Tender meat, but too much butter in it.
🇯🇵Salmon Sashimi (200)- small slices.
🇯🇵Yaki Soba (P170)- good tasting soba. Its okay for me. Served with seafood amd veggies
🇯🇵Ebi Tempura , 5 pcs for P190
Verdict: Price is ok, plus food is good, though not the kind of quality that usual Japanese resto that I had. I can say , its pwede na, di na masama 😊
Fave dishes: beef misono and salmon sashimi
The servers are nice and the sashimi is the cheapest i know around the area. It's also very accessible.
I super love this place! It's a quick getaway for my Japanese food cravings and it's super close to my gym if i need veggies, salad and protein i go here!
Food - 9/10 very affordable! 200php for salmon sashimi? Yes! It's available only here at Tok Yu
Service - 9/10 super nice staff!!! Even the owners are there to serve you if you need anything.
Ambiance - 8/10 Small space but it's okay. Place is clean and has a homey feel.
I've been in this restaurant so many time. I've lost count already.
I've been here multiple times. I always order their Super Mix Special for sushi which tastes as Japanese a dish as it could get. Their beef teriyaki and ebi tempura are other must-try's. I've also tried their pork katsudon, but I found it a little too sweet for my liking.
I'd give Tok-yu a higher rating if it weren't for the lack of the place's presentability and space. But the food (and the cost!) make up for it. It's definitely a go-to place for Japanese food in my list.
Recommended by a friend, this rare gem is my go-to place for delicious and budget-friendly sushi/sashimi/ramen/Japanese food.
I am basing all 4.5 of my rating just for the taste, food quality and value for money. We always order the Salmon Sashimi plate, Ebi Tempura plate and Squid Misono, Super Mix Special sushi platter and Beef Ramen.
The awesome food compensates for the lack of ambiance. Even though the interior of the restaurant is relatively average, the food quality certainly makes up for it.
In addition to the good quality is the fact that the food items are affordably priced. It might not be your typical Japanese food chain like Kimono Ken or Teriyaki Boy but it definitely is what you call a great hole-in-the-wall type of place.
This is my go-to place if I'm craving for good and budget-friendly sashimi. For less than 200 pesos, you get 8-10 slices. What a deal. It had thick sloces which is just perfect to get that sashimi craving satisfied. Their squid karaage was also good but the sauce was too strong for me. We also tried their ramen and it had a sweet taste to it which was not really my type.
They do not accept credit card payments. I went to try with the impression that I can pay through credit card...........

food was amazing :) i'm a sushi-lover and the raw delicacies are fresh 😍 maki's are a little small but with a reasonable price, the taste brings japan in your tongue 😘 will definetly visit the place again with my friends and family but sana more presentable ang place ✌🏻️
I've been a regular customer here for years. Although the ambience is much lacking, the food quality, service, and price more than makes up for it. Order their sashimi. It doesn't matter which, but I recommend the sashimi platter with salmon. You have a full plate of super fresh and delicious sashimi for only a little more than Php200!
If you're looking for authentic Japanese food and don't want to hurt your bank account, you better try Tok-yu! Their food are really delicious! I would recommend their sukiyaki. They serve it hot. And the best part is its budget friendly!
If you want to satisfy your Japanese cusine cravings, head out to this very affordable resto. The sashimi are fresh and reasonably priced. The food is really generally good.
Chanced upon Tok-yu as we were looking for some place to eat dinner and luckily we did! To say that it's an affordable Japanese restaurant would be an understatement. You get more than your money's worth in this place! They have the biggest serving of maki I've ever seen anywhere which tastes good too. Also tried their Yakisoba and it's so flavorful you'll wanna ask for more. Overall a very awesome experience. Will definitely be back.
If you're looking for affordafable Japanese food, this is the place to be. At first I thought I would be disappointed, but turned out the food here is actually good. Just have an issue with the place though, I think they can still/should improve it further.
This is my go-to Japanese Restaurant. The restaurant's menu is simple and the price is very affordable. I recommend you order their sashimi because it is fresh and their affordable tempura.

When one of my coworkers asked if we would like some "affordable Japanese food" for lunch, a bunch of us grabbed the chance to take today's happy lunch here. I was able to split with an officemate an order each of Pink Salmon sashimi (very fresh and flavorful), Mixed Seafood Misono and Beef Misono. Total bill per person was around P250.
I really like this restaurant. The place is small but the food are really great. The price and the servings are very reasonable. If you happen to pass by near timog avenue and you are craving for japanese, this is the place to be 😉
The place is just beside Tropical Hut in front of Crossings. It's a small one. The ambiance is not so artsy, but it's fine.
Regarding the food, I like it so much! We ordered Kani Salad, Tempura, and Beef Misono. I love the Kani Salad the most, full of crab meat. An order of tempura consist of 6pcs, it's more than enough for two people. The beef misono, I also love it. Tastes better than Tokyo-Tokyo's.
The price is very reasonable. We only paid Php 515, to be exact!
We live near here. Lol so 5/5. Looooooooooool so funny hahaha i really love their california maki hahaha i thought it really was from california lollllll
Best in price and taste for their tuna, salmon, AND uni sashimi! Wasabi is real and it's just perfect.. I cannot rave enough. The place is humble w it's green interiors and simple furnishings but at >200pesos per sashimi platter w more than a dozen slices.. What more can you ask for? Tempura is also at >200pesos *angelic choir singing* Haha.. Other items we've tried : steer clear from their "ramen" though.. For me it's just not ramen.. Seafood misono is just ok, the curry dishes are just ok as well.
Service is great w the warm.and somehow familiar wait staff too.
Tokyu has been a family favorite since my dad loves Japanese food and it does not hurt that it's very easy on the pocket :)
I've long stopped visiting Tokyu since my dad passed 4 years ago. We're pleasantly surprised that the prices and quality did not change (or if at all, we didn't realize)..
The food is still good, I posted some photos of our orders as our recommendations. We love everything we ordered except their Gyoza :p
California Maki
Tuna Sashimi
Tempura
Curry
Gyudon
Kani Salad
Want affordable Japanese fare? Head over to Tok-Yu and get your fill there. A happy tummy for a low price is so worth it.
I've been here in this place twice and at both times, I walked out satisfied.
My usual order is Mix Special consisting of 8 rolls of California maki, 5 rolls of Kani maki,2 pcs of Tamago and Kani sushi. All that for Php130 only! Uni sushi is for Php160 only and the very refreshing Cucumber shake is for Php50 only. Isn't it great? I know it is.
Food is good for sharing if you want a lot of variety. Don't expect a very clean presentation of the maki and sushi because at this price, it still is good. The Uni was a lot! 3 of us shared it. And the shake was served big that I was not able to finish the whole glass.
The place is just small and it's always filled! So goodluck when you come here, because you juat don't know if there would be an available table for you but it is worth trying.
I might come back here next week. I miss the Uni! =)
