My friend had her birthday dinner here and she ordered the Holaday board which has barbeque ribs, roasted chicken, lechon cubano, soft tacos, nachos, rice & quezo de ube and she also got a plate of chili con carne fries. The fall-off-the-bone ribs were seasoned well. It's tasty and still juicy. Same goes with the chicken its roasted perfectly but still full of flavor. The lechon cubanon is also good. The crispy pork skin and the tender meat is so good. The rest of the food was good and we enjoyed every bite of it.
This place is perfect for family and friends lunch and dinner.
Yummy food! My 2nd time to eat at gringos and it never failed to satisfy my hunger.
Ambiance is good. BBQ ribs are so chewy that it melts is your mouth. I also liked their nachos which has a unique sauce, and also the Mango Chicken Salad.
Tried this for the first time because of the vlogger jammy cruz we so far so good ...but in an average.. i like the chicken alot but the bbq ribs not realy though it has a unique mexican touch btw the sauces are great...
Their nachos are the bomb! Ordered the ribs muchos with 4 sides, but honestly could’ve done without them since the ribs come with nachos too. And, like I said, their nachos are the bomb.
We ordered 2 sets of quarter chicken with 2 sides
CHICKEN - Superb!
Sides:
Mexican Rice - its soooooo goooooood with the chicken!!
Potato salad - good
Fries - good
The price is so reasonable! 💯🥰🤤 Will definitely be back! Also their staff is very accommodating ☺️
I usually go here for their chicken meals so it was my first time trying their tacos and quesadillas. We ordered Latin Salpicao, Chilli con Carme Tacos, and Chicken and Onion Melt. I loved the Latin Salpicao. It definitely was my favorite over the crispy taco since while it had more flavor, it wasn't too overpowering unlike the Chilli con Carne that was a bit "nakakasuya". I also liked the Chicken and Onion melt quesadillas. It had a generous amount of shredded chicken and the cheese was just right. Some quesadillas have too much cheese in them that I do not enjoy so this was just the right amount 👌🏼
Dined here for a dinner date and we absolutely loved it
The booths are spacious and the staff even greets you as you enter. The interior is good.
Their southern spice chicken is delicious. I cannot stress that enough, savory and a bit tangy - just writing about it gets my mouth watering. The food was warm, unlike some negative reviews I’ve seen. We had it with the Mexican Rice, Mashed Potatoes and Potato Salad (I’d skip the Potato salad next time). We also had the Nachos which were really good and was a huge serving.
In addition we had their Margarita and this Mango Ice cocktail (I forgot the name of it) both of which were good.
Overall it’s on the pricier side but if you go here for sharing, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
When you visit Gringo, make sure to try their Nacho Grande, it is the best!
Their Southern Spice Chicken is also must try. We ordered 2 sets of half so just we can have 3 side dishes for each. We also ordered 2 sets of half ribs, with 2 side dishes. The ribs was just okay, nothing really special on the taste.
Their staff and the ambiance is nice. Definitely worth the visit.
I find the place very spacious, servings generous and Gringo Original chicken and Mexican rice excellent. I also appreciate the various healthy sides. My favorites are the mushrooms and the roasted squash. One in our party wished they served pasta though. All in all, a good experience. I would come back :)

Gringo is part of our UPTC Food crawl by Daily Palate. They served us their Gringo Baby Back Ribs, Gringo Original Chicken and margarita. All of it tastes great and very filling.
So if you're craving for Mexican food, Gringo is the place to be.
Finally tried Gringo. I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about their food, and I was happy that most of it were true.
We ordered the nachos and two chicken set meals. They have huge serving which I really love. Value for money!
The nachos was good. I partiularly loved the sauce they used. The chicken were also tender and tasty. I’m not really a fan of chicken breast, but I loved the spices they used.
The staff of the UPTC branch were also really attentive and accommodating.
After this really good experience, I’ll definitely come back to try their other dishes.
Their quarter chicken with 2 sides for around PHP 250 is a good combo. You get a big piece of chicken, and you can pair it with two of a wide variety of sides, though I noticed that most of their sides are a bit lackluster. I always go for the mashed potato side (consistently good), but the ones I've tried and got disappointed with are the marble potatoes and the okra. The chicken is tasty, but not exactly something I would call memorable and craving-inducing.
Also, the store has a great vibe! Great alternative when you're getting bored with Frankies and Silantro in UPTC.

I have no words except this is one of my fave restos. Besides chinese food, I’m also a fan of mexican food so for me to experience eating at Gringo’s is definitely an experience. I love their fries with chili and cheese that’s stringy and melting, their mexican rice and mashed potatoes. Omg every food here is perfection. 10/10

I’ve always wanted to try Gringo for months now so my boyfriend and I decided to eat in on a Saturday date night. We were considering Mad Mark’s but then again, I was in a drooling stage..
I got for me the Gringo Southern Spiced Chicken with sides of Mexican rice and Garlic Mushroom while he ordered Half rack ribs with sides of Garlic Rice and Marbled Potato Salad—both of which came with a (yet another!!!!) side of Nachos.
Okay, so personally speaking, I’m not a Ribs fan. Although I have tried some better-tasting Ribs outside Gringo, this just ain’t one of my top picks. My boyfriend thought the same. The Southern Spice Chicken, however, is a jackpot. I love the flavor, the spice, the tenderness of the chicken, the sauce. I love that it tasted so well with just the chicken alone, but also that it was perfect with the Mex rice and the mushrooms.
The lemonade was the second favorite, next to the chicken. It’s full of citrus flavor—lemonade plus kalamansi. It feels like i’m sipping through a glass of drink beside the beach. I love the bee-design glass 😍
The ambience was a plus too. The dim lighting gave a sense of privacy and it calmed us in a way that we actually had a great time talking to each other. And it didn’t feel like we were being pressured to consume the food urgently. Oh and did anyone mentioned about the big ass wooden door??
The crew refilled our water glasses without us telling them to. Bottomline is, the service is good.
The reason why it can’t be five stars:
1. The nachos could have been flavoured better
2. I believe the Ribs could still be improved
3. I wish they went more adventurous with their song picks
Overall though, I’d recommend this to everyone. I’d probably go back and even celebrate my birthday dinner here 😊
The place to go if you're craving for Mexican food! Choose southern spice chicken over the original if you're looking for an extra kick of savor. For sides, the best I've tasted would be their Mexican rice and roasted eggplant. Definitely worth the price since a quarter of chicken can be for 2 people already. The ambiance fits their cuisine and the people are really nice, accommodating, and lively. Overall, a pleasant place to get full!
Last night I had dinner with my high school friends, it was our first time had this dinner in Gringo.
First of all, I love the interior and the waitress.
I'm a bit disappointed the food were not warm enough esp the Mexican rice. it was already cold. We're too shy to ask waitress to heat it.
I recommended the Nachos Grande. I wish they should put more meaty and sauce. This is my new favorite nachos!!!
Definitely will go back here with my brothers!
I would call Gringo one of the "hidden gems" of UP Town Center since it is located in the middle. I walked by this place but finally tried it. I love the ambiance and their food. If you're hungry, definitely come here, big servings for the entrees. I enjoyed their Tacos but I wish they were bigger, which I expected it to be. If you're craving barbecue, Gringo is the place to go.
This is my go-to place whenever I’m feeling down! Their chicken is well-flavored! And i love their ribs so much!!! Their salad has a unique taste brought by the mango! Definitely a must-try restaurant!
I love their original chicken and garlic calamari. Service was good; the staff kept on refilling my glass of water and the napkins tray on my table.
I would definitely come back here again!
Good place for family, friends and officemates! Crews are friendly and will politely take a cute groufie for you! Food are okay but I am so addicted to Gringo’s buttered corn and nachos. Will definitely recommend!
Gringo
This has to be one of the restaurants we always go back to. We rarely crave a particular restaurant but when we do, it is Gringo. Plus, we rate their nachos high compared to other nachos we tried.

The place looks amazing. I like their lighting. When dining, I'm very particular with the lights. I don't want it to be to bright or to dim 😊 It's also clean. The restroom is well maintained and the ambiance was just great. Very instagramable indeed.
PEOPLE - 5.0
Once they open their huge door, you would be greeted immediately and be seated as soon as possible. They are all smiles the whole time. They're also very attentive to our needs. The service is fast. They make sure to serve the nachos as quick as they can so we have something to nibble on while we wait for our meal. They're also very accommodating since we usually like to transfer from table to table just to find the perfect spot and they're very patient with us. Never did I see a crew not smiling.
FOOD - 5.0
1. Nachos
Simple yet exquisite. There is a hefty amount of toppings on it but not as much as others that it looks like a mess. Plus, it highlights the nacho chips itself and not so much about the toppings. The chips itself is hot and very crisp. You can assure that it's really fresh because even the platter itself is hot. It comes with a lemony dipping sauce and a spicy one. The toppings is composed of shredded chicken, cheese, some of their lemon sauce, and the usual greens, tomatoes, and onions. It's good for like three or so people but the two of us can finish the platter
2. Southern Spice Chicken
At first, I read it as spicy so I thought it will be but I was wrong. Nevertheless, the chicken has a nice spice rub with some of the burnt, smokey, barbeque taste. For a quarter sized chicken, it's pretty big. You also have the option to order some sides with it. I usually go with their beans and a side of Mexican rice. The black beans it a bit sweet and is already heavy on the stomach. You can also try their mashed kamote. It's like mashed potatoes but better. The chicken also comes with a small portion of nachos.
3. Baked Taquitos
This is Kat's favorite order. Almost everytime we eat here, this is what she gets and I understand why. It's usually the last thing to be served everytime we order this but you can guarantee that it is fresh of th oven. The chicken is crunchy and the pita bread is still warm. The spices taste good and it's not overwhelming. There are three pieces in one serving. Great to snack on.
You don't even have to ask if we recommend. It's a great place to go with your friends or even family. You can drink, be merry, and even have a nice Mexican dinner. We'll definitely comeback for more!

Go-to both with family and friends. Service is the type where your water glass is never empty. Best roast chicken out there and great sides, with healthy options (recommended: roasted squash & mashed camote).

Place is good, spain ambiance. Waiters serves well. Quite pricey though. I think the taste of the ribs is not worth the price. They should upgrade a little
Dinner with high school friends are always fun. We decided to eat at Gringo and good thing they have reservations even on weekends. When we arrived the place was packed majority of the tables filled.
For dinner I ordered Original Chicken 1/4 with 2 sides (Php 225). I got plantains and garlic mushroom for sides. Chicken was tender and flavorful. Great combination on spices. Also got, a glass of Mojito (Php 160) mixed perfectly.
Waiters and waitresses were really attentive, especially Jovs. The food was great, we ordered the full rack of ribs and a whole original chicken. Definitely worth coming back for.
Chicken soup was good. Service was also good waiters were attentive. Chicken burrito was a bit sweet with the beans. Although it was also good.
It was a good experience at Gringo! We ordered the half roasted chicken and was delighted that the meat is juicy and tasty! Would definitely be back to try their other dishes as well!
Go here just for the spicy tuna taco, it was unexpectedly really good!! Sauces that come with up also compliment that tacos well. We'll definitely come back just for this.
Insanely awesome!!! I am a sucker for chicken be it fried, grilled, broiled etc. and Gringo definitely met my tastebud satisfaction with flying colors. I am not really a fan of mexican food but this is definitely one of my go to place to satisfy my chicken cravings. The
place is clean, relaxing and also IG worthy. I must say the service is A.Okay as the servers are polite and friendly. Kudos! 😀👌🌈

I liked my visit to Gringo. The food was very tasty, the service was good and the ambience was very hip. I had the Ribs and some sides and I liked the flavor of the meat. The two sauces it came with also complemented the meat's taste profile. I specially liked the touch of cilantro on the mild one. The thing I found they need some work on though is the serving size. For the price, the ribs should have left me full already, they didn't. The sides were also a bit small for me. The nachos did the job of making the plate look kind of full, but they didn't fill my tummy as much. I didn't try the chicken though. Maybe the chicken would give me a fuller experience.
My family and I wanted to have ribs for lunch so we tried out Gringo at UPTC. Some reviews said that the ribs were dry but when we went there it's not at all. :)
I love the ambience 4/5, the only problem we had was the chairs because my friend was wearing shorts and part of the chair's paint for stuck on her legs.
The food is 4.5/5- we ordered were 2 whole gringo original chicken, 2 baby back short ribs, nachos and lemonade. The chicken was great, it came with a side nachos. The baby back ribs was tender and it also came with nachos but I prefered the chicken over tje ribs. The sauce was good especially the spicy sauce. Nachos is okay, i felt like it needed more meat or toppings. The lemonade was a winner
Service 3.5/5- some waiters/waitresses were attentive but I had to wait or call the attention of some waiters twice to refill the sauce. But overall it was okay

I love their chicken and fries and also their quesadilla truffle quezo 😋😋
Definitely a go to place for mexican cravings 😋
Number of times visited: Once
Parking: Mall Parking
Food: The food is just okay but nothing to write home about. We had the Southern Spice chicken and the Gringo baby back ribs. They were pretty enjoyable to be fair. However, while the chicken is cooked well (yummy skin and the meat is not dry), its meat lacks flavor.
You can order the dishes with(with an added cost of course) or without side dishes. The choices were pretty decent – we chose the Mexican rice and the marbled potato salad.
Price: Considering the portion size and the food quality, you can get this type of food with less the cost at other places.
Service: They are attentive and quick to anticipate our needs.
Place: The ambience of the place is great, we like the rustic vibe going on. Their tables are quite small though. Our table is good for 4 people but there are only the 2 of us – our orders occupied most of the table already. I can’t imagine how the orders for 4 people would fit on the table.
Repeat: Yes, we would love to try the other dishes in the menu.
EVERYTHING HERE IS PERFECT. Everything I've tried here is just perfectly good and delicious. A must-try is their Southern Spiced Chicken. Their price is just right for the big serving and food quality. Try also their shrimp!
Their chicken is so tasty! It doesn't need sauce. It's also very tender. Their side dishes are good too. I didn't like the roasted squash but I loved the mashed sweet potato and the fried rice. Best thing is it's very affordable. Best for groups.
The same great chicken in the BGC branch, but much roomier and much better service.
Always with the standard roast chicken, couples with their delicious sides. Don't forget to get the mouth-watering nachos and ask for extra dip! Can't get enough of that savoury-spicy-sour sauce!
Was finally able to try Gringo yesterday. We went to this specific outlet at UPTC. So, we ordered their Baby Back Ribs, Southern Spice Chicken, Chicken Soup, Mashed Potato, Garlic Mushroom, Mexican Rice for the sides, and House Blend Iced Tea.
First, the ribs. It's dry and a bit tough. Too short of how ribs should be like. However, I liked the taste. The sweet, tangy and spice blends nicely. Serving size is also okay.
Second, their signature chicken. Juicy, tender and tasty. You could taste the flavors from the skin to the meat itself. Size is a quarter so it's quite a generous serving.
Third, their sides and soup. Soup is a bit bland. Could've used a little more salt. Their mashed potato and garlic mushroom are both okay but nothing too special. Oh and I almost forgot, each order of the ribs and chicken both had servings if nachos on the side.
Lastly, their iced tea. I was a bit disappointed with this lol. It tasted like a regular brewed tea with little sugar and lots of ice in it. No lemon-y taste present. We should've ordered the lemon drink instead.
OVERALL RATING:
Ambience: 4/5 - very nice place with cool interiors. Just a bit crowded.
Service: 3.5/5 - fast service. But the wait staff went to our table twice for the wrong order. They should do better with the serving next time so they don't put the orders to the wrong table.
Food: 2.5/5 - price is reasonable but there is nothing too special with the food.
My new favorite!!! Sobrang flavorful ng chicken and sulit for the price! I've tried other Latin restos but Gringo is the best of them all. Staff were friendly and service was fast when we dined. Pero di ko talaga makalimutan yung chicken. Ang sarap 😍😍😍
Sarap ng pagkain mehn!! Good comfort food, sulit sides. Didnt know may kasama pang nachos on the side aside from the 2 sides. Will definitely come back.

The people are nice there and very attentive to our needs. They serve the food fast although it's not as hot as you'd expect it to be. They have big portions which is relatively okay for their price. Their nachos are something worth a try. It's not your usual cheesy nachos. Their southern spice chicken taste great, and so was their beans. I suggest trying their nachoes too and explore their sides.
A few weeks after, we went back here again.
The place has a nice vibe to it. The decors suits the theme of the place. Really worth going back to. I'll maybe try their burritos next time
Was looking for a place to get dinner with the sibs and decided to go with Gringo because we've heard many things things about it.
First off, the interior design of the place was good, I especially liked the main door (sadly didn't take a photo of it)
Let's get to the food. We ordered half of the original chicken and half of the southern spiced one, you can choose whether you want sides or not.
Food was great, chicken was moist but there was still some redness along the bones. I liked the flavor of both variants. The tanginess of the southern spiced chicken was good.
One thing that I didn't like was the overpowering taste of cilantro on the side dishes especially on the Buttered Corn and Smokey Beans. It. Doesn't. Taste. Good. All you taste is cilantro.
Anyway, the experience wasn't totally bad. Gringo provides a variance to the chicken places around UPTC.
I actually wanted a taco. Just a single taco. (Also, because getting a table at Silantro would mean murdering people because I was just THAT hangry.) But instead, our order expanded, and we ended up getting:
Chili cheese fries
Pork tacos (soft shell)
Original roasted chicken (half), which came with 3 sides. We got:
- Garlic mushrooms
- Buttered corn
- Mexican rice
THE GOOD STUFF:
Chili cheese fries were great! The chili was thick and satisfying, and the cheese was gooey and coated all of the fries. The potatoes themselves were crispy and crunchy. A lot of textures in your mouth.
Garlic mushrooms were great as well. The garlic was roasted and tossed in butter along with the sliced mushrooms. Definitely something to eat on its own.
Service was also very prompt, and staff was quick to handle requests for water, extra utensils, and clean-up. It was a Monday night and the place was about 3/4 full, so good job!
THE OTHER STUFF:
Chicken was roasted but there were still a lot of pink bits that made me worry about salmonella. No blood from the bones, but I was still worried.
Taco was disappointing. Too much coleslaw and not enough meat. There was a distinct citrus taste to everything that overpowered each bite. I added some hot sauce to the taco but it didn't really work, because the lime flavor just kicked its ass. The tortilla was strong enough that it didn't break, but there was just A LOT of drippage. I barely tasted the pork. For P105, it wasn't worth the price.
In general, the citrus flavor permeated not just the taco but also the chicken and the rice. I get that the component is supposed to brighten the dish, but there's a fine line between "brightening the palate" and "assaulting the taste buds with lime" and chicken and the taco crossed that line a number of times.
VERDICT: Next time, I'll just satisfy the taco craving elsewhere.

Yay for gringo in up town!
I really like their southern spiced chicken. Meat is tender and juicy, with just the right amount of spice, tang, and sweetness. This is perfect with their smokey beans and crispy fries.
I was also able to try the beef burrito, but i wasnt very happy with it. The beef was perfectly salty and did pull apart nicely, but i didnt like that it tasted more like pork than beef. The garlic sauce was also a little bland.
Deapite me not liking the burrito so much, this place is still worth a visit for the ribs, chicken, and nachos! Service is great too.
You'll never go wrong with Gringo's Southern Spice Chicken. This is definitely one of the best chicken places I've been to! Their chicken is so unique, they earned a spot on my taste buds that only their chicken could fill in.
