Banapple has always been a comfort food for us, whether it's desserts/cakes, pasta and since rice is life for me, their rice meals.
had glazed and caramelized tocino sometine in 2019 and fell in love with their creamed parsley egg. it became my standard in scrambled egg ever since.hahha.. you should try their pasta too!
Banapple Pies and Cheesecakes bakery café is a charming and novel find. Complementing the well-loved pies are well-loved bestsellers like, Hickory Smoked Barbecued Country Ribs, Chicken Parmigiano, Baked Creamy Cheesy Penne and of course, Lasagna Roll-ups.
All these are available at all Banapple branches together with Christmas goodies:
CHERRY CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE jr CHEESECAKE (dense chocolate cheesecake on a chocolate cookie crust topped with stewed cherries) which retails for Php 930
BEJEWELED FRUIT LOAF (signature banapple loaf, studded with pineapple, cherries and oranges) at Php295
I think it's been almost a year since I dined here, and I remembered clearly what I ate: their Hickory Smoked Barbecued Country Ribs with steamed rice. Ughhh, heaven.
Anyways, Banapple just released their holiday pastries collection with the Cherry Chocolate Truffle Jr. Cheesecake and Bejeweled Fruit Loaf. Brought home a Cherry Chocolate Truffle Jr. Cheesecake to my fam, and my parents loved it! It has a cookie crust layer, and chocolate cheesecake layer topped with cherries in one! The Bejeweled Fruit Loaf is also fit for the holiday season!
Also tried their Breaded Fillet of Cream Dory with Honey Thyme Mustard Suace and Pasta Hacinta Party Tray Selections! Both are so good and savory (and I would love to have rice with the cream dory as always). Their cookie and hot chocolate is also my perfect kind of breakfast.
And as a special treat to their loyal customers, they have a 12 Days of Christmas Promo! You'll just have to collect stamps for every 450php worth of purchase. Ask the Banapple staffs about it and they'll gladly assist you.
This is the larger and newer Banapple branch in Katipunan compared to the original Katipunan store near the Quirino Hospital. They have more parking and a second level too.
For Christmas 2019, they have...
Cherry Chocolate Truffle Jr Cheesecake. I like the dense chocolate cheesecake that is not too sweet but that deep dark chocolate goodness. The stewed cherries on top is a great touch!
Bejeweled Fruit Loaf. Think about a cross between a banana bread (well, this one is banapple loaf) and fruit cake with all the dried pineapple, cherries and oranges. Its so good, my mom loves it!!
I always loved their food😍 1st time to try the carrot cake which is seasonal but it didn't disappoint. I was even thinking was I eating banana loaf even I see the bits of carrots it still yummy!
Experience is great as always and will definitely come back. However, during this specific visit, I ordered the lasagna. All the other food were served already except for this. When we followed up that’s the only time they told us that it was not available. The staff was apologetic and got our new orders right away so it was okay. The experience just could have been better if we were told earlier (coz the others already finished their food)
I think this is value for money, the price of the food relative to how big the serving is and its taste is quite cheap. Servers were attentive. My only suggestion is to add new things to the menu since the menu hasn't changed for a long time now.
Great place to meet up for a family Sunday lunch. The longganisa was too fatty for my taste and they promptly offered to replace it with something else. What great service! Enjoyed our lunch here 😊
As usual, great comfort food! ♥️ I always order their pastas. Their serving sizes are very very generous. 1 dish could actually be shared by 2 people 🤔 Today, I tried their peanut butter banana smoothie. It was amaziiiing ♥️ Banapple
Always a reliable favorite. Salads, mains, desserts, name it 👍 Service is also great! Staff are always cheerful. This branch, its first one, is now bigger and more organized. Good job!
Nice and cozy place to spend with your family and loved ones. Ample parking space with security and parking assistant. Great food, great and warm service!
I think this was their first ever branch. This place is sooooo memorable because I’d take my dates here when I was in college. It was (and still is) great in terms of ambience, food, and total experience.
The bright colors made the resto so cheerful and bright. Not to mention the location was atop a ridge so it felt like being in Tagaytay.
The food had both quality AND quantity. Try EVERYTHING, appetizers, main courses, AND ulam. Masarap lahat. You won’t regret it.
It’s still a good date place whether you’re a student, employee, or married couple. That’s how galeng Banapple is. 😀
Always love Banapple! It is my go to place when I want something that tastes like home. Portions are big enough for a very hungry boy!
We especially love the chicken dishes and their iced tea is refreshing!
Banapple serves consistent food throughout their branches. We ordered roll up lasagnas, trio of sausage fettucine and banoffee pie. Ambiance is good and the restaurant is well lit.
I love Banapple. As a student, it's been my go-to for affordable and tasty meals. Even more so with Zomato Gold! I ordered the Banapple Salad and the Terrific Tuna Sandwich. They were great meals for my post workout and filled me right up. Definitely coming back :)
Banapple is a well-loved restaurant because it never fails to deliver good food at an affordable price. They've always been very sulit, but has now been made even more sulit because of Zomato Gold's 1+1 deal.
We had the usual Chicken Parmigiano and Hickory Smoked Barbecued Country Ribs. Serving size is basically good for two already (or for three, if you're not a big eater). Chicken Parmigiano was fried to perfection, crunchy on the outside but was juicy on the inside, topped off by delicious meat sauce and mozzarella and served with a side of blanched carrots . The smoked ribs were tender and flavorful off-the-bone ribs served with corn.
This is my first time to dine in this branch and I'm very happy with the very attentive staff and quick service. Limited parking space available (around 5 or 6 slots).
Great, Fast and reliable customer service, staff were very polite. If you havent been to this store definitely give their Chicken Parmigiano a try 🍗👌😋
Nice ribs! However, the corn looks sad and old. I suggest using a better brand of canned corn kernels. Worry not, I still enjoyed the ribs. Thanks!
Food 4/5
Chicken parmigiano - I dont like the chicken breading - it's a little oily / soggy for me. But the cheesy tomato sauce makes up for it.
Baked penne - More fresh tomato taste would be nice, but overall it's good dish that kids and adults would appreciate.
Ambiance 5/5
Good aircon temp, spacious dining, clean Cr.
Service 5/5
They served my food pretty fast. (Though I ate here at a non peak time 4pm).
Value for money 5/5
Reasonably priced, good food.
Banapple’s a never-fail for our family. Apart from getting usual favorites (Chicken Parmigiana and a slick of Banoffee pie), the other menu items we tried (Penne pasta, Chicken topped with Bacon bits and gravy) were left below average.
The old branch we went to (most likely the original one) also badly needs an update! 😅
Overall, good food!
It was overall a good experience. The taste of the food in Banapple katipunan extension is consistent with the other branches. Parking was easy and we were immediately assisted. The staff were polite and were helpful the whole time.
They were all knowledgeable about the zomato gold promo and were all ready to answer questions pertaining to said promo.
The food was good and the serving size is big. Be ready to eat a lot when you go to banapple!
I love the fact that their meals are really value for money. Servings are huge and good enough for sharing but the price is budget-friendly. Taste is very good too.
Good food as always. Ordered hickory barbequed ribs and got the pan-fried porkloin free using Zomato Gold. Will definitely come back here soon.
This place is my family's go to comfort breakfast food anytime. Food is amazing for its price. Personal favorites are their chicken parmigiana, garlic beef tapa with creamed parsely eggs, hickory smoked barbecued ribs and bacon fried chicken steaks with milkshroom gravy.
Every visit, we also make sure to avail of their banoffee cake 😊😋 it's the best!
Although, branch should improve number of servers to attend to water refilling and faster order taking. Nonetheless, food is still great 😊
First zomato gold experience ❤️ use my code to avail buy 1 take 1 on foods and buy 2 take 2 on

We ordered bacon and chicken w/ mushroom steak sauce & hickory ribs, yummy food and just paid 295 php!! Amazing zomato gold membership ❤️
Great way to start your Sunday with my mom and hubby! Food serving was good. No complaints here. 👍🏻 Beef Tapa was good and the Chicken Parmigiana was superb!

My go-to place for a delicious complete meal! I usually go for BBQ Ribs but the decided to go for this new buttermilk fried chicken with parmersan cream sauce. They have a smaller portion for the buttered corn now. But chicken was cooked well and the sauce was so good i asked for a refill which came for free.
My sister wanted to have dinner with us and we opted for Banapple since it was just an arm's length away from home. This is the bigger branch along Katipunan and I had not expected a full house! Luckily, a couple had just finished their meal and we had a table :)
I had the Hickory Smoked BBQ Ribs, and my sister went for the Pork Tocino meal. My brother ordered Bacon Fried Chicken in Mushroom Gravy. I couldn't take a photo of my brother's meal coz he just lapped it up the moment it was served!
The ribs were generously served, and were so tender and juicy! I couldn't even finish the meal because I was so full already. I had a taste of the Tocino and it was mediocre at best.
Service was great and fast.

Ambiance is ok, sometimes it gets very noisy. The value for money here is amazing. The portions are really big. The consistency is always spot on. I eat here at least once every 2 months and it never disappointing. My recommendations: Try the Hickory smoked barbecue ribs or the chicken parmigano.
This review is long overdue since this place is one of my "the place to be"s. Food is good; pastas are comforting and the cakes are just yum! I'm not a fan of the service though, it kinda takes a while for them to serve your order. But nevertheless, Id still come back for more lasagna rolls and apple crumbles. Two thumbs up for Banapple!👍👍
Banapple never disappoints me. From the sandwich to pasta and cake. Our to go place in Katipunan whenever we got stuck in the hellish traffic.

I am sure we ate at this one and found the Salpicao Rafael too sweet. Only in this branch. Felt like Tapa with the Tocino Marinade. Not really my thing. Hope it’ll be more Savory next time.

We had a long drive with my friends and traffic is everywhere. So we decided to have some sweet treat snack randomly at Banapple.
The Sweet Treats:
Banoffee Pie: everything is delicious. I like the chocolate curls even the taste of it. The crust is delicious. I like the touch of peanut butter and the banana is good.
Apple Caramel Crumble Pie: Its sweet and savory, I like the hint of cinnamon spice, the crumble on top adds the perfect texture. I like everything on it.
Oreo Cheesecake: your typical cafe cheesecake. It tasted good nothing much but straight to the point.
Dark Chocolate Smoothie: its too sweet for me. The dark chocolately taste is there at the beginning but its all sweetness all throughout. This is my least favorite.
Area is cute, spacious on the 2nd floor. Staff are accommodating and polite. We will definitelt comeback here.

FOODFORTHOUGHT:
🍉Lasagna roll ups
Always spot on when you are craving for carbs protein and warm sauce. Their bread is topnotch too. Their food quality and menu are a bit underrated due to their target market but it can honestly beat the food of many upscale brunch and comfort food places in the city. Their huge pies with potato salad and rice dishes are ultimate comfort food too! And of course, the cakes too! I just hope they improve thwir drinks selection.
REALFEELS: The original store in Katipunan gives off the homy feel but the ones in the malls still provides a bright, casual feel that gives of a less "tita" and more "kolehiyala" feels.
PURSEPOWER: Budget friendly despite the consistent mark up through the years. Still one od the reasonably priced good restaus in town.
BROWNIEPOINTS: Best to eat here with a friend and share your orders. The serving size is too big to be finished by one but not big enough to be adequately shared by two.
Check nyo na lang bes yung review ko dun sa isang banapple sa Katips. Magkatapat lang naman din.
Pero dahil obligado ako na 140 chars, well, reminder lang, medyo pricey ang banapple. Meals will cost you P200+ pesos. Pero pramis! Super sulit!
It’s my friend’s bachelorette’s party and her sister reserved Banapple’s function room. It’s Php 5,000 for 3 hours and it’s consumable. It can fit around 10-15 pax. Although you can’t stick things on the wall. I got their salpicao. Serving was huge and the meat was tender. That’s what i like about this restaurant some of dishes tastes good and it’s affordable too.
Although the establishment isn’t as well maintained compared to their newest branch they still offer the same quality of food. Limited parkin too.
First time to eat at Banapple on Dec 31, brunch. Food was okay, and the staff were attentive. Only problem was we found the place too noisy. We ordered lasagna roll ups, beef tapa, and sirloin. For dessert, we tried their blueberry cheesecake and the apple pie. I'd say the best choices were the sirloin and the lasagna. The hot chocolate was also good, and the thirty-peso brewed coffee when ordered with the sirloin was also a good deal.
Banoffee pie is recommended. The lasagna is just about average and the ribs - enticing but don't expect to much. The blueberry cheesecake is also about average. The waiting time for the food today took about 20-30mins.
Great food as always! Loved the Hearty Heavenly Breakast plus Iced Coffee. Perfect breakfast combo to start the day.
And btw, they have more parking slots now so no problem with parking

Banapple can be summarized as good food in large portions and at reasonable prices. I love both their savory dishes, as well as their tempting desserts. I lost track of the number of times I've visited this branch which, by the way, is soooo much better and spacious than the original branch on the other side of Katipunan.
Here are just a few of the menu items I've already tried:
1. hickory smoked barbecued country ribs - well-seasoned and really good sauce; however, I sometimes feel that I'm not eating ribs because it's too meaty and fatty
2. bacon fried chicken steaks with milk'shroom gravy - my kids dig this and so do I; love the gravy (though it can be a tad too sweet at times), and the chicken steaks (crispy outside but tender insider).
3. herbed chicken rolls with basil cream sauce - it's ok, but after a few bites, you tend to feel sated.
4. banapple bacon meatloaf - it's alright; nothing really special, though I like the gravy
5. banoffee pie - need I say more? :) it's heavenly for sure!
Perhaps Banapple can work on training their staff on proper customer / restaurant service. Most of them are not friendly and accommodating. It's like their service is just for the heck of it. Smile, people. Smile. :)
A visit to Banapple will never be completed without having their main entrees and specialty cakes.
Must try their Chicken Parmegiano and Lasagna Rolls. All these foods taste and feel like niluto Auntie mong magaling sa kusina. Hehe ☺
Food is great. I love what's on their menu. Though I have my favourite and I always come back for it, the rest in the menu sure is delicious too. Gotta say it's a little too pricey but hey try and taste it. It's heaven! You gotta try them out. The cakes are good too. Try and treat yourself for a sumptuous meal. 👌
A visit in Banapple will never be complete without their signature Banoffee Pie. I simply love its sweet and caramel taste. Two thumbs up for this!
Still craving for their blueberry cheesecake and their baked creamy, cheesy penne, even we just went here not long ago. It left me craving to taste more of their other variety of foods. The prices are all worth it, they serve a lot. Also, the place is decent. I would definitely go back here again! :)
Nothing beats the O.G. spot! The food is always better for some unknown reason. I'm a big guy, so the huge servings always is a win in my book! My go to meal will always probably be the Fish Gratinee. Oh, their Dark Chocolate shake is the bomb! Service is excellent, I like how the peeps there always smile, despite busy days. Would give a perfect review, but I was never a fan of their trademark tables! Hurts my elbows often! But that's just a minor gripe, no biggie. 👌
For inexpensive but quality Italian food and pastries, drop by BANAPPLE KATIPUNAN! Order their rice meals and pasta for sharing. My personal picks are beef tapa and pan fried pork chops.
Was not expecting the dishes to be good, it was a nice surprise! Go for chicken parmigiana and savory pie with mashed potato. The burgers at sandwicheese neighbor restaurant were worth a try as well. Large servings for what we paid for.

Always love this resto for the simple filling dishes and cakes and parties. The lemon ice is the best as well. Best recommended is the cheesy penne pasta
Their chicken parmigiana is quite good but since the sauce is a bit sweet, it can give you the umay factor after several bites. One tip, ask them to separate the sauce that way you can control how much goes into your fork each time. Their chicken pie is sooooo good.
I have eaten at this branch a number of times before the renovation. However, I only went back last Saturday as a spur of the moment thing and got an apple crumble pie as my birthday "cake" from Boogie. It was my first time there after the renovations and I must say, this branch is spacious compared to the old one. Parking is ample as well.
The apple crumble pie is good, as usual. Would have been better if they can serve it ala mode. Hehe.
This place is our favorite place. Every time we want to eat pasta and pies , banapple at katipunan branch is always our choice not only because it is near our place , but we feel comfortable in this branch specially that they are renovating the place to make some space. I also love the food here and my all time favorite is the banoffee pie and unfortunately I haven't saved the other pics :(

Sort of one of my favorite places to eat when im not on a diet! Banapple's meals comes with a huge serving of rice every dish they have. My favorite here is their chicken parmigiana! Their cakes, though i liked them before, well seemed a bit ordinary already when compared with other stores =(
I love this place! Great food and cozy place. Perfect for dates and fellowship. I love their caramel cake and banapple cake. Okay din ang tapa nila. Price of the food is worth it. ❤️
After my take to the horrendous traffic in Katipunan. We decided to have our super late lunch at Banapple. This is the first time to eat again after it burned down. The place looks more vibrant than before and more spacious too. I ordered the hickory smoked spareribs and my wife had the beef salpicao.
The spareribs was a bit tangy and on the hard side. The salpicai was okay. So why the 4 stars? For dessert i had the cadbury cheesecake. I loved it! The cheesecake was choking me and that is how I like it. The thick cheesey cake slowly oozing down my throat!

Bannple is a very cozy breakfast place. Bannaple two is open btw!
Had the angus beef tapa, ribs, and apple pie today. The tapa was flavourful and tender - garlic rice was perfect the meat. The ribs were good but a little bit sweet for me.
Overall, service and food here.. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
It's very rare I give a perfect score, but since t'was this is where we had our first official date 8 yrs ago.. I must say they are as consistent as our relationship and yeah it gets better and better..
The place: One of the few places when you feel right at home. This branch is actually if I'm not mistaken their mother branch. Very home, very classy..
The Food: I Love it. period. What else can I say? They offer all my fave. dishes. You should try their pasta, their steaks, their desserts.. Definitely everything
The Price: It's worth than Jollibee's price. I swear.
Banapple
Loved the baked penne and the rolled lasagna. Hefty servings, big in flavor and aroma. Theur iced tea was truly refreshing too. Hinted honey in it. Was early so we had the whole place to ourselves so it was perfect for a simple celebration.
I have been a happy patron of Banapple ever since they opened their doors to the public back in the day. I remember being first introduced to it back when I was in college. Yes, Katipunan Extension is basically Narnia to UP, Miriam, and Ateneo students. I have eaten so many good meals here and truly I have nothing negative to say about their food.
If you've never had a taste of their food, a safe order would have to be their Creamy Cheesy Baked Penne. The name says it all - it's is creamy, dreamy, cheesy and loaded with sausages and ground beef. This pasta dish definitely puts a big smile to all the cheese lovers out there!
The Banoffee at Banapple is always a standout, in my opinion, and their Caramel Cake is to die for. As for the other meals, the Garlic Beef Tapa and Tocino with creamed parsley eggs are superb. These meals taste like home and would surely satisfy anyone's palate.
Whether it's in katips or in any of its branches, Banapple is one of our "brekky" hangouts. The coziness of the place relaxes me after a stressful work, and their food is really delicious! And with their serving, you will eat like there's no tomorrow!
Great food to choose from. Big servings and each meals makes you full. Ambiance is cozy and cool great desserts especially the bannoffie cake
This place is located right outside out village, it's really accessible for me and my family!! We love eating pasta and desserts here!! Must try their Blueberry cheese cake!' ❤️

Been here with friends to taste different cakes but the one I really loved is Oreo Cheesecake. It is so satiafying that I would love to have a slice of it every single day.
Me and my friends went here for a friend's birthday. At first, I thought banapple only served patisseries but I was wrong. I loved their pasta and the ambiance of their place.
Great foods, great place and clean. Perfect for breakfast hang out. I always order heavenly breakfast because its my favorite. Try it as well and you will love it. Good for hungry tummy in the morning. ?
Very accessible for people living near Eastwood City like me ? Love their pastas! And cakes too! ??
Had a hard time to find a parking slot.
Our go to place whenever my parents visit on the weekdays(AKA when they're in a hurry to go home). I usually order the breakfast tapa, the eggs that come along with it are really good
We ate here for my aunt's celebration and their food were very delicious. Many families were having lunch there too!
After our meals, we ordered some of their really big empanada for only 80 something pesos only.
Parking is difficult, because they only have a few slots available. Ambiance is okay, I love the baked creamy cheesy penne and their cheesecakes!
I look forward to every chance of dining here with my friends. There's just a happy vibe to it. With the serving sizes and taste, prices are reasonable. Parking space just remains a challenge so I am rarely able to bring my family here.
This must be the best comfort food place in Metro Manila. You must have heard about the banoffee pie, but that's not the only thing that's good here. You must try everything on their menu. Everything. I usually say a lot in my reviews, but I'll leave the best and the rest to Banapple. 'Nuff said.
Our go to brunch place - i love:
- the house salad, it has bits of banana chips in it as a crunchy twist.
- the tocino, classic!
- the banofee pie. Rich and creamy and not so sweet. Yum
- The iced tea is good too.
Banapple is love! I had the chicken parmigiano and my boyfriend had the hickory ribs. Both tastes amazing and it's served with plenty of rice that tastes great too! I also ordered the dark chocolate smoothie and I loved it!!! We are in love with their chicken & tuna pies. Must try! It's only P90 and it's so big! I can't finish it in one sitting. I love how banapple restos are so cozy. :)
A great place to hang out with friends and enjoy great array of meal and dessert options! The AC was too cold though, so I'm not quite sure if the (pasta) meals were served or just became cold from 0-5 seconds, and the stay became uncomfortable in a short while. The staff are nice and approachable. I would love to go back and try all the food they offer!
I really like the set up of Banapple and their meals as they always are able to give me a really good experience. Starting to not like their tables though as the design of it, particularly the table top with those round marbles, are not condusive to stuff that are flat such as my phone. But I still love Banapple!
