Crab is probably the only seafood I have a love-hate relationship with. I love eating its fresh and slightly sweet meat, not to mention that divine crab fat. But getting all those could be a pain. And more often than not, I avoid ordering crab if it's not de-shelled as I've developed a bit of trauma from being hurt while cracking open those long legs. Then again, seeing ginormous ones could be too hard to resist especially when its a restaurant's specialty.
A nice quiet cozy place in Tomas Morato where you can enjoy fresh seafood all day and night. Their crabs are the bomb! They used to have a buffet with crabs and lobsters though.
Still the best crab restaurant for me! Aside from crab, their classic sisig & salmon soup is delish!! Best place to eat if you’re craving for crabs! 👌🏻
Crabs are fresh and well-cooked. I like that there were plenty of crab cuisines to choose from. Garlic crab is my favorite also sinigang na bangus belly & Red crab chicken bbq. The ambience of the place is okay. The food is kinda pricy over here but highly recommended!!!
Mr. Crabs 🦀
The service is great, and everything is delicious!
The crab is pricey tho, but damn it taste so good.
The baby squid is so tasty, I personally liked it more than the crab (recommend).
The baked oyster actually taste like how expect it, it’s cheesy and it melts on your mouth.
I will definitely come back to this place ❤️

Food: 4.5/5
Price: 4/5
Ambiance: 4.8/5
The food is great but for price ratio its somewhat expensive as we know the original price of crab in the market.
The complimentary crackers doesnt really compliment the food as it is not that crispy and newly made.
The takeout was great as they go green with eco bag and not plastic bag. 3 cheers
The food was well made, will be coming back later on.
We ordered gambas, scallops, and crab marites. All the seafoods were fresh. We especially loved the crab marites, amazing recipe! Great service and cozy place. Thanks!
Totally forgot to take photos but we had brunch here and it was okay. Food was delicious, although a little bit on the pricey side. We had the Baked Bangus Belly, Grilled Tuna Belly, Fried Chicken, Cheesy Mussels, and Jasmine Tea and Red Iced Tea for drinks.
Overall satisfied with the food and would like to come back to try their other dishes, specially that beef kaldereta. The place was a little warm though. We requested to turn the AC up but the waitress told us that it was already at its max capacity. Since we just came from our morning exercise, we were kinda disappointed that the AC wasn't cold enough. They said it was an old model so it would be good if they can replace it with a newer one.
Love the staffs! Very enthusiastic and friendly. We used to eat there a lot so whenever we need parking spaces, the security guard is very eager to accommodate our vehicles! 😸
For the food: 10/10. The best seafood restaurant in town for me! Quite expensive but very worth it!
Love their menu choices, my favorites are Baked Scallops, their OYSTERS (tried all of it and they’re all so GOOOOD!), Seafood Salpicao, Dampa style Prawns, Salted Egg Prawns, Lapulapu with chili mangoes, Lapulapu sweet & sour, their CRABS! (All of it, LITERALLY but my forever favorite is their Maritess!), and lastly their Pusit Relleno with cheese.
Love their meat choices too! Their sisig & karekare are my favorites!!!!
Craving for crabs??? Then this is the perfect place. Sobrang dami nilang alam na luto sa crab. We ordered singaporean and marites. Parehas sila masarap. Spicyness nung singaporean is saktong sakto na tlagang mapapa rice ka. Then if you love garlic then orderin nyo ung Maritess. Sobrang daming garlic (mejo oily). Service is nice too. Pwede ko to balikbalikan.;)
Went here with close friends, parking is easy maybe its a holiday and lunchtime. I was sitted quickly , so I got a “buko” shake the taste was great not too sweet and the coconut was perfectly blended to the shake and super tasty. We got the crab Marites little pricey but the taste was stunning, it was cooked on olive oil with fried diced garlic and it was amazing i ate more of the garlic instead of the crab 😊. Then, the cheese scallops which is good, and the mixed grilled seafood which is perfectly cooked along with the vegetables. Thank you red crab for a wonderful lunch with friends 😊 i gave it a 4 because of less staff, have to wait to asked for tissue and water, otherwise it could be perfect.
First time to visit this place!
Location: It can be easily found cause it’s just along Tomas Morato.
Facilities: They were able to accommodate our group of 7pax even without reservation. But they can do with a larger space. We recommend setting up a washing area on the second floor. It’ll be nice to have your hands washed after dealing with your crab. Though, warm towels are provided.
Food: I was amazed with the size of the crabs 🦀😮. I liked the slight spicy kick and rich sauce of the Szechuan Crab. I enjoyed the crab and the garlic from the Crab Maritess. 😍 I can finish another ci of rice with just the remaining sauce and garlic from Crab Maritess.
The Baked Garlic Butter Scallops and
Cheesy Mussels are all delicious I can even finish one whole order. Shrimp and Pork Shanghai Rolls are crispy and delicious.
The Crispy Pata was a bit hard and not that juicy for me.
First time to try Carmen’s Best Dark Chocolate Ice cream and it is very smooth in consistency and not that sweet.
Overall: It is a nice dine in place if you’re craving for seafoods especially crabs. 😀Just be prepared to get your hands dirty while eating a crab (even if you’ll wear gloves, there’s a big chance you’ll get it pierced and your hands will still be messy). 😉
Was surprised with this branch since it was smaller than we expected from the outside but they have a 2nd floor.
Place was quaint. Food was ok for me but the hubby found the monggo and sigarillas a bit salty. Probably because we didn’t eat them with rice. Lechon Kawali was cooked to perfection. Not too tough and perfect crispiness. The cheesy mussels were super duper good! Love the cheese and just a hint of garlic so not too overpowering.
The crab did not disappoint. Fresh and very succulent. The fish was equally meaty and seemed to have been deboned for most part of it. The shrimps (prawns in AU) were tiny but numbers per serving made up for their small size. The people were pleasant and friendly.
Nothing beats seafood! Ready your pockets to shell out for worthy dishes like their crab dishes! Side note: get ready to get dirty and start to suck the juicy sauce from your fingers. Ughh! Have no words for this place experience was soooo fine 💯💯
It is a 5-day weekend but preferred to stay in Manila to avoid the crazy drive going out of town. Extended holiday break makes us crave for a beach trip but a seafood feast at Red Crab with my officemates is just as great.
The Crab Maritess is a winner. It is priced at P220per/100g and we got a king crab at 1kg. A serving is good for 3-5pax. I can actually survive a meal with only its saucey garlic bits and rice.
Failed to take a snap of the Dampa Style Garlic and Butter Prawns as much as I forgot to use my utensils. Always better to devour seafood with bare hands. Good thing we are seated next to the wash area.
Other dishes we ordered is just average. We also tried vegetable sides: Tortang Talong (P235) and Laing sa Buko (P295).
🔹Garlic prawns - 3/5 (prawns seems to be fresh but there's nothing special w/ the flavor and there's too much oil!)
🔹Manila Pork ribs - 4/5 (pork is tender, sauce is just fine..)
🔹Sigarilyas express 4.5/5 (taste of coconut milk and chili is well-blend)
🔹Place/ambiance - 4/5
🔹Service - 4/5
We didn't try their crab since the one available weighs 900g. Too much for just the two of us. Maybe next time.. ☹️🤣
Their servings huge, but their place is neat, clean and cozy. Perfect for family gatherings and celebrations. They also have friendly and accomodating staff. They never forget to smile at customers. 😊
Craving for some seafoods? Visit the red crab and taste the freshness of those saltwalter creatures.
Try to break the saltiness of the dish by adding salad on the side.
Crab Maritess is really goood!!! Their prawns in salted egg and aligue is just heaven. The sauce of both dishes bursts in flavor. It's a little pricey but is kinda worth it since they really serve delicious food.
Happy to try again their famous Maritess crab---in garlic and olive oil. This place really lives up to its name and owning it too! The Red crab offers a variety of how you want your crabs to taste. From salted egg, butter and ginger, to peppered crab and a whole lot more! My personal fave is their Maritess and salted egg. I've yet to discover more!
Got to also try their delicious and definetly soothing halaan soup (clams). As for dessert, try their unique suman with frozen mangoes with whip cream on top!
Pricey but their servings are worth it. Aside from the crabs, also try their laing and crispy pata! The place looks crowded from the outside, but is actually spacious even when packed with people.

Know for its fresh seafood catch, The Red Crab is a great alternative to your usual dampa - although you'd have to splurge a little bit more than your paluto budget.
My favorites here are:
Sigarilyas Express - winged beans in coconut milk and a large portion of pork belly.
Tortang Talong with Crabmeat Aligue - Eggplant stuffed with crabmeat that blends perfectly well with the crab fat sauce on the side.
Bagoong Rice - perfect pair with any viand whether seafood or meat.
The crabs are very fresh. The place where the seafood ingredient and made it into various and delicious dishes. Haven't tried all of the dishes but it looks promising will comeback to try other dishes in the menu
Really good and fresh seafood. Living in Manila it is hard to realise we are still close enough to the sea to have some very fresh sea food. Quality in top. Prices good. As Arnold said: I shall return.
Haven't had the chance to take pictures of our foods last night but anyway pictures are not enough to describe how the food tasted. So we ordered "butter ginger crab" , "fried tilapia with mango cilantro salsa" and of course the "crab rice". Food are a little bit pricy but hey it's worth the price. Tilapia is crunchy and the mango salsa is a perfect combi... And whoooooaaa the crab is something you'll surely enjoy (we even ate it with bare hands). ????????????. Since I'am a seafood lover I'll definitely come back here.
