I ordered the Menchi Katsu set via Grabfood. I was really surprised at the quality of the packaging. It was the best form of packaging I've received from all the items I've ordered from Grabfood. The food was still warm when I received it. There was a note included that re-assured that the product was safe. So as a consumer I would most definitely order there again.
Always loved how they accomodate their guests, not only in this branch but also in their other branches. The grinding of sesame seeds really distracts the guests while waiting for their order, but it is also more fun to do with friends. Their menchi katsu and tori menchi katsu dish is to die for!
The place has always been packed because of their big servings and set meals. We love their unlimited cabbage and lettuce. However the 2+2 drinks didn't allow us to order 4 different flavors. Nonetheless, we always enjoy Yabu.
Yabu remains to be my favorite Tonkatsu joint despite having tried several local and global chains here and abroad. My family has been coming to this branch for years and quality as well as service would always be topnotch.
This is your standard yabu branch, just had their katsudon and it was up to their usual standard. They did however forget to give me my fruit that's supposed to come with my meal. I also tried their agedashi tofu, and it quite liked it, the breading was definitely more substantial than others.
Yabu. Its already a household name when it comes to good quality katsu. Aside from their excellent service their food quality is always up to par. Excellent resto. Keeps you coming back and back and back.
Amazing customer service. I've eaten here dozens of times and each time I leave satisfied not just with the food, but with the service as well.
Love their katsu curry 😋 i dont usually get the cabbage and miso soup servings but i get an extra serving of the curry for free (1 serving only)
First of all, I LOVE YOUR COLESLAW, miso soup, and fresh fruits... and also the sticky fluffy white rice.
Service 10/5

Okay so sa taste, i always order Menchi, but this time I tried their highly recommended Curry (named after the Chef-Owner lol not sure) pero yung meat ofc Menchi parin haha I don’t usually order Curry, but Yabu’s Curry is so good! Another 10/5.
Overall, mga 30/20 haha charot!
Great dining experience.
Had an old mentor treat me to this place back then. I remember enjoying a set meal of rosu katsu. Flavors of their food was amazing. Miso soup was spot on. I was glad to had eaten there. Hoping to drop by again here soon.

First time I tried this and it was honestly worth the foodie rave!!
The Katsu set with Pork Tenderloin was every bit delicious. I enjoyed the unlimited refill of white/brown rice, the cabbage, miso soup and the fruits.
They also offer tasteful sauces that you can make yourself. My favorite was the Wasabi sauce with mayo!!! I couldn’t get enough. Would definitely come back and commend this place to a friend!!
How Can you Go wrong with yabu? Unlimited Rice, and Best, unlimited salad! I especially enjoy The ebi Patty, and and the gyudon! reasonable price and Good Service.

From what I recall this is the first Yabu branch I have eaten at. When you order a set, they give you the option which kind of rice you like, the delicious white rice or the healthy brown rice. I opted for the latter but regretted it. Good news they allow you fo change after you have consumed your initial bowlz
Yabu has been one of my favorite go to place if I'm craving for comfort food. The consistency of Rosu pork is always on point, the generous amount of cabbage, the steaming hot miso soup and rice is always what I look forward to. Another favorite is the Rosu Curry - the curry sauce is good and I love how we can customize even the spicy level.
Service was good, the staff we're attentive even when it was on full house.
They are consistent with the quality of their katsu, whether it's hire (no fat), rosu (with trimming of fat), menchi (minced meat), and Japanese-style curry. For this visit, I tried their Rosu Katsu Curry Set and the coating was crunchy as always. Meat was reasonably tender and the miso soup, cabbage, and watermelon were at par to expectations. I also loved the brown rice option!
Yabu is literally our default go-to place when we are craving for Katsu.
Though recently there times that the meat tastes a bit old, but most of the time the quality is quite good.
They offer refillable soup, cabbage, rice and fruits.
For those who don't like white rice, you can request for brown rice instead. But Japanese rice is still the best with katsu.
Dish:
1. Hire Set 120g - 4/5
Yabu never fails on quality of their cutlets. Always love the refillable rice, cabbage, soup, & fruits. One of my go to places for fried katsu.
So far our favorite Japanese katsu house! I love ordering their menchi set but I found my new favorite the combination one with dory. This place will get you really full because they serve unlimited Japanese rice, cabbage and fruits if you order a set meal. The sauce they give for cabbage salad is addicting. The miso soup is always served hot and not too salty. It’s just sometimes the order takes long because maybe they lack staff or too much volume of customers other than that best katsu in Manila is here! 😊😊😊
Spent my birthday last weekend here with my family. Eating at Yabu is no doubt a superb dining experience, and no I'm not paid to say this. The place was jammed but everyone is well prioritized and the waiters were very attentive. Their Katsu sets are to die for. And most importantly, Yabu takes customer satisfaction seriously. No other resto in PH does this. What a great management team.
Me and my sister had a late lunch. It was 2:20 when we reserved a table. We were seated 10 minutes after. Mozzarella Sticks, Hire Kurobuta and Menchi are the dishes we ordered.
Mozzarella Sticks
The savory cheese plus panko breading makes this a wonderful appetizer while waiting for our main course. It tastes better with their dip. It was not spicy but there’s just a little kick
Hire Kurobuta with Hot Curry
I had the curry separated as I wanted to taste the meat without the sauce first. At first bite, I already knew why kurobata is their best seller. The meat itself is already complete. I ended up not finishing the curry since the meat is flavorful enough. As for the curry, the strong aroma of spices are wonderful.
Menchi Katsu
Our original order was Tori Menchi Katsu. Unfortunately, it was not available at that time so we substituted to Menchi Katsu. Menchi is a really good substitute for their Tori Menchi. The meat flavor complements well with the cheese inside.
Service
The place is clean. It was still busy so we understood why the servers can’t keep up with the demands of the customers. But they do make sure that whatever you request will be given, just be patient.
I love Yabu! Their katsu is so so so tender, the curry is so yummy, the miso soup is flavorful and i even love the roasted sesame dressing for the cabbage. I love japanese curry and Yabu’s curry is so good! Everything is perfect so I gave Yabu 5 stars!

This is one of the Yabu’s we have tried and where the Trend of Katsu started. They serve good Katsu Set Meals With Unlimited serving of Vegetables, Miso Soup and Rice. Dessert is only one serving. Like typical Katsu places, they have Ross and Hire which are what people go for but if you’re looking for something different, you should try their Menchi Set. (It’s like Cordon Bleu but cheesier)
Best tonkatsu I've tried. The salmon is worth the price. The katsu burger is also an interesting dish to try. It comes with a unique and very tasty salad.
Been eating at Yabu for around 5 yrs already. One of me and my boyfriend's favorite place to spend celebrations at, or simply satisfy cravings!
Ambience - 4.5/5 Interiors are nice in all their branches.
Service - 4.5/5 Service is great in general! It just differs from time to time when servers changes. We've been going to the Magnolia branch for around 5yrs now so we've somehow kept track some of their crew changes. To be honest, we miss the old crew. We feel that they're more welcoming. Or we just got to know them and they were already familiar with us. Anway, I'm pretty sure the current crew is just as great!
Food - 4/5 Since we've been eating in and out of Yabu for quite some time now, we've been noticing changes from their food. Compared to how they served their food in general back then, I'd have to say that they've took a half step back I guess. We don't mind it that much. The only thing that bothers me is that their other katsu seems to be more dry now. I used to love ordering Special Katsudon. But now I really feel that the katsu have this dry meat feeling and I can't taste that juicy rosu fat. So now I just order Kurobuta most of the times. Which is sumptuous, btw! But it's unfair because it's not like I should just order the same thing whenever we go there. One good thing I've seen with Yabu with time tho is the options they add in their menu. We like their new burgers :)
If you want to try different kinds of katsu and to have an unlimited refills of rice, cabbage, soup and dessert then you should try Yabu. For those eating a bit healthier, you can request for brown rice as well.
Food - 4.5/5
Katsus at perfectly cooked and was not very oily. Curry sauce had a well balance taste and was not that spicy. Miso soup had plenty of wakame and tofu. Only comment I have is that some of the bottled sauce dispenser are defective.
Service - 4.5/5
Crews are very helpful and accomodating to request. They automatically ask you if you need refills on your food.
Venue - 4/5
The place is neat and well spaced. Tables are big enough that won't feel the need to limit your movements. Design is also great, the mirror gives additional illusion of a bigger space. The AC was too cold that time which made our food cold a bit faster.
The Katsu are the stars of Yabu.
We started with the recently Mozzarella Sticks revival. Yabu knows how to use their panko bread crumbs so well. I can easily tell the Japanese herbs that contributed so much flavor to the cheese.
I can eat another handful of these without getting the "umay"
All of Yabu's katsu sets are served with hot miso soup, Japanese rice, shredded cabbage, and a piece of fruit.

I am not a fan of katsu but this really overpass my expectation :) the katsu are not that typical unlike to other katsu houses.. it is deep fried but one thing that it’s different from the other is that it is not oily and very crunchy when they served it to you. 🙂 i love their mozzarella sticks ❤️😍 perfectly cooked and it really melts inside your mouth.. you’ll not just fed-up even if you eat them all. 😁
Yes, it is costly but i guess it is worth the price becuase pf the quality of the food.
The service is not that good, we have to call the attention of the staff several times for the condiments that my mom needed.
Going back to basics with the Hire Tonkatsu from Yabu. ❤️ This fried pork cutlet is the leaner sort that’s tender and juicy despite not having any fat. 🐷 The interplay of crunchy Panko breadcrumbs and meat is made so much better with their sour-salty Tonkatsu sauce. 😋 Like all their offerings, this comes with unlimited side dishes of rice, miso soup and shredded cabbage with their “secret sauce” (more like Kewpie Sesame dressing 😂).
On the other hand, if you were to deconstruct the elements of Agedashi Tofu, you will find yourself with silky tofu cubes encased in panko which is deep fried all together to give it a crispy texture. 🤤 Soak it in a pleasant mix of sweet and salty soy dashi sauce and top it with spring onions and grated raddish for a pop of color. ❤️ this yummy interplay of flavors makes for a great way to start dinner. 👌🏻
i discovered Yabu at this branch and have been eating at this resto in other places. They've remained consistent. I also appreciate they've added variety into their menu.
The go to place for Katsu cravings. While other katsu restos serve their Pork Tonkatsu oily, Yabu serves theirs perfectly deep fried but dry. No oily residues on the breading. The brown and white rice is also of excellent quality. Service is fast and efficient. While price may be on the above average, a diner can get back on the refillable rice, soup, and cabbage.
On another visit, we tried their Katsu Burger and Chees Gyoza Curry. The food tasted unique in the way it was done.

✔️ The server was friendly and quick but I rated their service 4/5 cause we waited a little longer for our food to arrive and they forgot to separate the curry sauce the way we requested it. They immediately changed it though, so that’s a thumbs up for me. 👍🏻
❌ The service charge makes it less affordable
I remember the year Yabu first opened, they took Manila by storm! Their katsu sets are the best! They were so popular, international katsu franchises started coming in, like Saboten, Katsu Sora, Kimukatsu, etc. Despite the fierce competition, I honestly think Yabu beats all of them, and that’s saying something because they’re local!
For first timers, you definitely need to try their popular Rosu Pork, which I believe is the dish that started it all.
Since I’ve eaten here many times, I tried their Salmon Don Teriyaki set, which was a delicious and lighter substitute.
Their wakame was a great side dish to any of their main dishes. Cold and refreshing.
My cousin ordered the curry chicken katsu set. You may opt to have the curry sauce served separately, as shown on the photo attached.
Service was fast! They guarantee 20 minutes or your meal is free! The servers were friendly and attentive too. Plates were cleared promptly and they checked tables from time to time in case you would like another refill of water, rice or cabbage.
Overall, my cousin and I enjoyed our experience at Yabu. They consistently exceed expectations.
Classic katsu goodness! Been here for more than ten times already. They have the friendlier staff! Excellent katsu! Authentic japanese curry! Ive been to japan twice and i am able to say this is as close to the real japanese taste as we can get. Love this place 💙~~

It’s obvious that Yabu: House of Katsu devotes a lot of time and effort to perfecting the katsu experience. It’s chefs, for instance, benefited from the wealth of knowledge passed on by Chef Kazuya Takeda, the head chef of Tonkatsu Takeshin, a Tokyo-based Michelin Star: Bib Gourmand rated restaurant.

A bit pricey but worth it
The golden crust of the katsu and the tender meat inside, dip in their sauce is what makes me go back here again and again. Partnered with their miso soup , it’s like a soul food for me. After a tiring day of work, a place where i can find comfort
It was my first time here and they did not disappoint. The katsu was great no wonder they have to have unlimited rice fills. The place seems to be always crowded proving that they are not brought about by the hype from the past years.
Tori menchi is always a good idea. One of the girl servers was quite rude to my friend. And they didn't attend that quickly to our refill requests.
Nice food. I ordered their chicken fillet and it is sooo good. It is soft and easy to bite unlike other chickens they are hard to bite. Worth the wait and money. And their watermelon is so lit!
Up to now this place can get crowded... well at least during those times we decided to dine there. We usually order the rosu set, curry and kids meal (love that they include edamame). I like the refillable cabbage with lots of goma (their dressing) with drops of chili sesame oil. I also like that you can choose white or brown rice.
If you are craving for Japanese katsu, this is the place to be. Consistent taste for all the branches, only the service vary. But thumbs up to this branch for letting us stay a little longer or after closing time.

Accomodating Staffs
Clean Place
Delicious Food
And the price is just right ❤️
My husband and i really love this place , like sometimes we don’t really mind even if the que is long .. 😂
Dined here quite a few times already and food has been consistently good, the service is even more so. The refillable cabbage, soup, rice, and fruits will also always be a satisfying treat. Even though I don't eat katsu meals that often, it's almost certain that we'll never go wrong with this one.
I gave them a 5 only because there's no 6 on the ratings. But they deserve a 10! 😍
We celebrated our anniversaryat Yabu, robinsons Manolia, and it was one of the best decision of our lives :D
We were greeted with a warm friendly smile of the staffs and from the time we got to sit down and left, we were in Awe!
Delicious is an understatement for their katsu! Para akong humiga sa unan na gawa sa pork at kinantahan ng mga agels!! Lol! We also enjoyed the yabu ritual of grinding the sesame seeds, and it was a life changing experience! (#First timer here!)
Above all, what i liked the most is their staffs, who was all over the place! (Hello to Nicole who assisted us! 🙋
All of them were very proactive! I never had to raise my head to have my rice and cabbage refilled!
We felt we got our money's worth. We will surely come back!
We ordered Rosu Katsu and the ground beef katsu (forgot the name). I like that the cabbage and the miso soup are unlimited as well as the rice and the fruit.

After my sister's monthly check up we went to Rob Mag since it's the nearest mall. It's dinner time and all of us are starving. They let me choose whatever restaurant that I want. I picked Yabu since we're literally in front of it. The place was full as expected. And I can't believe that it's my sister's first time to try Yabu since I always eat Yabu with my friends. So we ordered Tonkatsu. And of course it was amazing. Yabu will never disappoint for me. The staff are nice every time I ask for extra cabbage. 😂
Katsu got me running to yabu.
Love this place because the food is definitely worth the money. We had 180g hire sets and it was good. Loved how they had unli rice, the miso soup is good, they had fresh fruits and the sauce was not bad either.
The ambiance here is also pretty good. There were a lot of people but the service wasn't bad at all. The servers were actually pretty attentive to their tables.
Definitely coming back.
There's a new menu they said would be an appetizer, teriyaki wings something. It was good but it was not that special.
We orderd Hire Tonkatsus 180g. The pork was really soft and very scrumptuous. The cabbage's sauce though, I don't know if it's a Yabu house specialty but I didn't like the blend.
Overall experience was great. Food was great. The service was also great.
Yabu has been an all time family favorite of ours whenever we go out for dinner and movies. In all these years, no problem has arise until yesterday.
Food was still great, except for this waitress, I think Eunice was her name. She reconfirmed our orders even before heading off inside. After all the dishes arrived, mine was a no show. So i asked one of the girls about it, she said it wasn't called in.
I asked for our order taker Eunice and i was expecting shed apologize for it, which was the normal thing to do , but nope she just said wala sa order nyo mam, gusto nyo mag order nalang ulit paluto natin..
Didn't quite like her standoffish attitude so I asked her again, isn't it you repeated our orders awhile ago, and I heard mine. Again, she just said the same thing..
A bit fuming now, with my kids telling me to let it go i told her that instrad of insisting with the customer, u could have just said sorry in the first place matutuwa pa ako.. And then thats the time she did..
I wanted to bring it up to the manager but my kids prevented me from doing so, grrr..sometimes these kids dont understand!
Anyways yabu will still be our mainstay resto but definitely i wont ever have Eunice as my server again.
My kids' favorite! Yabu is always on top of their list! Real value for money...why yabu for us is incomparable to other tonkatsu place!
NOT PERFECT 5⭐️ RATING? Service is always bad for us! Calling the servers' attention often make us lose our patience. Once we finally got their attention, they'd forget about our requests!
Yabu sparked the katsu craze years back... We have not been back for some time and when it was my turn to choose a restaurant, I remembered a post about their new menu item, their mozarella sticks... So, Yabu it is!😃
This is their first branch in the metro and there used to be a really long line for one to dine in this place... Years later, nothing has changed... We arrived for early dinner on a Friday night and the place was packed! Apparently, the katsu craze has yet to die down...
We patiently waited for our table to be ready... When we were finally called, we were ready to order...#girlscout We ordered the panko crusted mozarella sticks as an appetizer... One of their new menu items, but very popular as I saw other tables ordering the same thing... For our mains, I got the Menchi Curry Katsu set, while my fiance got the Hire Katsu in the biggest size that they had...
The mozarella sticks were served first... Just look at that picture! Deep fried panko on the outside forming a crisp layer that envelops the stringy mozarella inside... Served with a spicy aioli dip... Love at first bite!😍 If you don't want to get addicted, then fine don't try it... But if you like any form of fried cheese, then please find the nearest branch and order this dish... Loved that crunchy panko crust! We will meet again, you cheesy crispy dish!😁
I enjoyed my menchi curry katsu-- yes, cheese again! Yabu's curry is very strong, not for the faint of stomach... I got the regular spicy level and it was already pretty hot... Personally, I find that cheese, curry, and fried meat together will always be a great combination. Despite the heat, I enjoyed my order immensely...
Of course my companion finished his Hire katsu in record time and with two cups of rice to go with it... 😅
As usual, service was great and snappy! Glad that they have maintained the same level of quality as when they started, in terms of both food and service!👍
Great place to eat and will really makes you feel the vibe of wanting to be in Japan! Worth the splurge for the best Katsu Sets in town!! A bit pricey though but really really worth it! Cause it's very addicting!!
I love Yabu for a handful of reasons–They have excellent customer service; Food is affordable; and they continue to innovate and deliver something new and delicious for its customers. Recently, Yabu launched their newest Master Class Creation called ‘Buta Kakuni Don’, and my good friend KC and I were one of the lucky few to have sampled this dish for the first time.
Yabu is the best among tonkatsu restos. I love the rosu and the rosu and oyster plate. They have the best hiroshima oyster katsu. Very fresh and big.
Order the agedashi.. also very yummy. I prefer the agedashi with panko coating. Yummy.
Hire is really amazing and I'll never get tired of eating this! My friends and I always eats at Yabu whenever we have a get to together or catch up session. This restaurant will never go out of our list!

My go to place for dinner when im at rob mag, for 400 pesos you'll go out with a happy tummy and soooo busog, the food is good as well as the customer service. Good food and service, is what makes me crave and wants to go back for more 😊😊😊Good job Yabu, Rob mag !!! 👏👏👏
I like that almost all are unlimited, and even you don't order, you'll get full. 😂 But their tonkatsu is the best. We'll definitely go back. 💛
I have visited Yabu four times since my first visit, which was 2 weeks before (!!), and I love the signature dish - katsu of Yabu! The ambience is nice, people are friendly and food is awesome - especially the katsu and curry sets. Keep doing the good work!
The food at Yabu is delicious and tasty. My non tonkatsu-loving companion thought it was too tasty. Only come here if you feel like filling up past the point of satiation.
Servings are large. Cabbage salad was fresh. The dressing was excellent.
Servers are attentive and pleasant.
Expect a wait time before you're seated. There are many diners waiting to have the Yabu experience.
Don't eat here if you want a light snack.
One of the best katsu restaurants I've tried! Out of love for Jap food we dined at Yabu to try their signature katsu dishes. So what we had were Furinake Fries, Hire Katsu Set, Hire Katsudon Set (The one that has egg and savory sauce) 3pcs extra prawn and ripe mango shake. The food is amazing. Well cooked and just the right blend. It's kinda pricey but it suits the price. We spent approximately 1800.00 for 2 persons. It was hard to get the attention of the staff tho because the place was jam-packed. We waited outside the restaurant for like 15-20 minutes before we were able to get a table. Nonetheless the food is really good. :)

Whilst my Yabu GC Giveaway was on going, I came across a picture on their facebook page of their Katsu Curry dish. I must express to everyone that joined, especially eventual winner of the GC's, Elinor Semira, how extremely fortunate you all are that I started the giveaway before I saw the picture. Because had I seen it first, there's a very good chance that the P2,000 GC's up for grabs might have downgraded to P1,000.. Possibly even P500.. Or I wouldn't have had a giveaway at all!
Yabu is our go-to place when we're craving for katsu. The quality of food is very consistent. We love the service as well. If you haven't, try their Layu sauce. It's sooooo good! Mix it with warm rice and your favorite katsu for a perfect Yabu experience!
Waited to be seated for 45 mins. Worth the wait. Love their original katsudon set and miso soup. Customer service here at this branch is excellent
Yabu has always been my go-to katsu place! I still think it is the best compared to other similar restaurants. Their Menchi Katsu would be my favorite.
The last time i've been to Yabu, I tried their new cheese sticks and it was the BEST one ever!! Hands down!
I love katsu! Was able to enjoy yabu using my citi card and the 30% off promo and boy, what a deal! Yummy Hope you could extend the promo, guys!

Yabu katsu is still one of the best in manila. Their rosu 80g set is very filling for 350php. Katsu is perfectly fried and it isnt oily at all.
I had the (chopped) shrimp katsu. It was pretty good, but i got oversatiated halfway through.

Where it all started. This was the first branch that I was able to try Yabu out. During this visit, I ordered their deluxe mixed set. Throughout the years, Yabu was able to retain the consistency of their food which is great. I normally rate Yabu branches at least a 4 but service during this visit was really bad. Had to call the servers attention several times just to ask for additional chopstics and to ask for the bill. Hope this is just an isolated incident.
Yabu is the perfect place to satisfy your Tonkatsu Craving. 😄 Their Tonkatsu Set is Superb! ❤️
Served with unlimited Japanese white or brown rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles, cabbage with your choice of dressing and a bowl of fruit. 😊 Choose whether you like your tonkatsu 'Rosu' (Pork Loin; pork cutlet with a trimming fat) or 'Hire' (Pork Tenderloin; cutlet with no fat). The choice is yours! 😉
Katsu dinner with my college besties for some long overdue chikahan about anything and everything under the sun.
I had the Hire Katsu Curry with unlimited white rice, cabbage, miso soup and fruits. I love how only a part of the Hire Katsu was immersed in curry. The dry parts I dipped in the katsu sauce with sesame seeds. I should have requested for the normal spice level instead of the mild as the mild one was not spicy at all. The curry was good but lacked the kick. The potatoes and carrots were soft but could still be picked up with chopsticks. Loved the creamy sesame dressing for the cabbage. We had to really shake the container though as the thick dressing was slow to come out. The serving size was huge so I didn't request for more rice or cabbage.
Overall, great food with awesome company.
Yabu is the first restaurant to introduce premium Pork Katsu in Manila using the flavorful Berkshire Pig or known to us as Kurobuta.
They specializes in 'Katsu' or fried cutlet.nSo I had their Premium Katsu set. It comes with unli cabbage and rice.
The only thing I can rate here is their breading and cooking method. Kurobuta pork tastes the same, depending on their sources. The pork was tender and flavorful. I like how they cooked the meat precisely to get the right tenderness without overcooking and making it tough. Their breading was perfectly crisp that melts in your mouth.
Yabu's price is a little steep for me, especially for the premium one. It maybe Kurobuta, but still a Katsu is a Katsu.

Our go to place for a good katsu.Nothing extraordinary but done well plus the fact that you can have all the salad and sauce that you want is a definite plus
Yabu is my go-to place for carbo-loading day. I love love LOVE their curry, and carbo-loading in Yabu is probably one of the top reasons why I keep signing up for long distance races. Whichever outlet you go to, service is always good. They have a good number of staff so even though it's rush hour, all customers are well-attended to.
What can go wrong with Yabu?
The meat is tender, juice is oozing with flavor, serving size is generous (depends actually on how much of an eater are you), everything is so divine! No wonder why everyone's been so gaga about it opening in town.
My boyfriend and I decided to dine here, good thing place wasn't packed up with people when we arrived. Staff are very accommodating and fast to provide the needs of every costumer. We ordered our usual katsu sets. Him, the chicken katsu and mine was the rosu katsu one. Aside from splendid katsus, which they are doubtless to be great for, my boyfriend also loved the delightful taste and aroma of their miso soup. Me, I loved their condiments especially the one you put in cabbage, it's great!
Yabu is love especially it offers unlimited rice, soup and fruits! I will come back here for sure for more katsu craving moments.
Yabu is a great place if u wanna get ur tummies bloated! Its made up of great taste their food is just lovely! Even though it might cost much its still worth it!
Katsu and its unlimited servings of rice, veggies and soup is a great deal. I enjoyed eating here and people are great too. I will be back for more.
If you are dead hungry and you feel like you could eat more than 2 cups of rice, you should consider Yabu. I had 3 cups and I can't bring myself to even move after! Ang bigat sa tyan! I love that they immediately refill your veggies and how they show you how to make a perfect tonkatsu sauce. It made the katsu more special.
I'll come back soon but this time, I'll try their SM The Block branch. And oh, I almost forgot to say that I loved their Furikake fries! It's 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼!
Yabu is always a go to place for something good and yummy and filling. Plus the fact that I got Yabu Gcs for Christmas, why won't I come back when I can right?? I ordered the usual Rosu Katsu Curry. They don't even need to give me the menu for me to order. It was what I expected -- crispy pork chop fried just right, white soft juicy japanese rice and the curry sauce spicy (would want it to be extra spicy though). The pineapples were sweet too even if they looked sickly pale. Hehehe.
Despite the long wait for a table (still after months and months of being open.. Kudos to Yabu!), Dhel our receptionist was extra cheerful and helpful in getting our table ready 😉 will definitely come back to this branch just because of the good service.
Of course, wasnt able to take a picture of my food when it got served.. Just took one of what's left when I remembered hahahaha
Katsu isn't something I fancy but Yabu convinced me otherwise. The rosu alone is divine, but I like the menchi katsu the best. It's no wonder most branches still have people lining up for a seat regardless of the time to eat.
🍱 Chicken Katsu Set - Tried the 180 Grams and woah it is big! Good for two actually!
🍱 Refillable Set (Php 100.00) - not sure if you are aware of this but we find this very sulit! Just add this, you could refill the rice, cabbage, fruits and soup! 😊
🍱 Service is good here at Robinsons Magnolia. Staffs are friendly and they attend to your needs immediately. 😊
Yabu, for me, still has the best when all you need is a big heaping dose of teishoku love. Their menu is simple and every dish they serve is great. It just brings great comfort. The only difficulty it brings is figuring out how to stand up from your seat after a meal.
The little perks we love:
-warm sake yay! Request it because they serve it cold by default
-pickles are a new addition to the unlimited sides they offer
-cold hoji-cha is so damn refreshing!

Had a sumptuous meal with my colleagues the other night. There's no doubt that the waiting line's that long — food was excellent. I've been eating here a couple of times yet I always fail to give a review. So here it goes:
Although the waiters seem to ignore some of our requests, exhausted perhaps, the food arrived to us on time. I enjoyed the unlimited rice, cabbages, etc., and the award-winning cream dory katsu curry which I had. Had it regular (that one with the least spices, which should make it not too spicy). One meal costed at around 400php, but it definitely is worth it.
Expect the restaurant to be always pact and long wait lines simply because of their affordable Japanese tonkatsu sets that comes with unlimited soup, rice and salads. The best seller is the black pork tonkatsu hire which is pure lean meat. The rosu is the regular pork cutlet with a little bit of fat. Other must try are the oyster katsu, katsudon, and the ebi katsu.
I love Yabu not only for its unlimited rice, miso soup, fruits and salad but one thing I love Yabu is there service. Staffs are courteous and accomodating. Everything was fast inspite of their numbers of customers all the way to the billing. Great training by the management. Hope all restaurants are like them esp the service. Excellent!!!
