I love the chicken!! And of course their main course, the steak. Too bad baby back ribs isnt available at that time. I also love the place. We've celeb our valentines here cause place isnt too crowded.
Way better than RUB ribs!! Best ribs i have eaten ❤️ the waiter suggested a dry rub instead of a saucy one, and it was delicious!! The ribs had no bone, right amount of fat, super duper tender, and soo good. No need for bbq sauce. Nachos were forgettable. The resto is outdoors, but very windy. Didn't like that it was beside the parking lot ☹️ pls branch out more
Food was good. If you're craving for baby back ribs, Smokin' Pig is here to comfort you. 👍🏻 i love the branch in Capitol Greenstreet. (Overlooking View)

It has just rained before we went there so the weather was really nice and chilly, perfect for the alfresco dining of Smokin' Pig.
We got the pulled pork nachos as our starter. Their nacho chips are different from the ones other restaurants use. Theirs is crunchier and a bit thicker. Which is good because it's able to hold the pulled pork. Good amount of pork is included so you really get a taste of the pork which each chip. Thumbs up!
We got the Boss Plate for our mains. Too bad the mac and cheese and creamed spinach were no longer available so we settled with the fries and corn. The beef brisket was sooooo tender and flavorful. So was the baby back porkloin ribs. The pulled pork shoulder was a bit too salty for my tasty. We actually were not able to finish it. I think that pulled pork would have paired well the creamier side dishes. That plate really is the boss!
What's really good about a place like Smokin' Pig is the cohesiveness and clarity of its menu in relation to its offerings - ribs, pork and beef; brisket; andouille sausages; barbecued chicken; pulled pork. The chef at the helm of this operation recently tightened up the menu's loose ends, and for the better.
At Capitol Green Street, their outlet is on the side, a bit past Stacy's. It is open air, and while there is not much of a view at night, it is well ventilated with giant Iwatas. It isn't all that great when the grill is busy, because some of the smoke tends to escape out to the dining area.
I can only speak about their smoked ribs, which are superior; probably the tenderest, juiciest I've ever had in Manila - and there is substance to their claim that they smoke it in house with great skill.
I've had these ribs "dry," home delivered, with no glaze on them, which must be the best way to have them. Served "wet," the ribs were something of a miss the last time I went. The glaze was salty, and a real shame that was; they were somewhat ruined, because I couldn't scrape the glaze off.
The sides - mash and corn on the cob - were just okay, which also diminishes the experience. My corn wasn't "on the cob" - and that could have been mentioned to me before it was served. It's all about leveling expectations.
The sides can dramatically enhance the main item on the plate, at a much lower cost.
Again: the ribs are so good; the sides can bring them down.

I highly recommmend you visit this restaurant especially if you're a meat eater. I love their ribs, both the wet and dry rub versions. The ribs are sooo tender that you don't need to use a knife. I also enjoyed their sides. Mac and cheese with truffle oil; creamed spinach and dirty rice plus mashed potato...you really have to eat here.
A hidden gem. Their ribs is one of the best I've tasted with meat so tender and juicy. Definitely a must try. We ordered 4 sides - cajun dirty rice is a perfect match. Scallion mashed potato is good but I find it a little lacking in taste. Grilled veggies is ok. Bbq fries was out of stock so we opted for zesty potato wedges and it was very good - very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
The place is quite small but we went there on a weekend and was able to get a seat right away. The view at night is nice.. It's like eating in your balcony. Quiet and fresh cool air. It's a good dating spot where you can just chill and eat ribs.
If you are looking foe the best ribs in town, beautiful ambience, and attentive staff then you must visit Smokin' Pig. Perfect for dates, friends and family. Prices affordable in return the most juiciest and meat melting ribs in town.
I suggest the whole rack with dry rub half wet rub.
Side dish dirty rice mac and cheese
Decided to try Smokin' Pig, Legendary Rib Joint after seeing an ad for it on Google while searching for something else. Nice ambiance, but all seating is outside. Seating is limited to about 25, we went on Sunday at 6PM and there was only 1 other table occupies by a couple.
OMG, we hit pay dirt! These were some seriously good ribs. Would have given 5 stars, but there was more fat in the meat than I like. We tried a slab each of dry and wet, and ordered more sides than we needed. We ended up taking home a few things, a rarity with me and my 2 bigger sons eating, but we ordered a lot of sides and focused on the ribs.
Only other comment on the food was that the cornbread would be better if they were thicker, they would be tastier and more moist, but it's a small issue relative to the awesome taste of everything.
With all that awesome food, I had really wanted to try the Pulled Pork, but we had ordered too much already. Better this way since now I have an excuse to return and work my way through the rest of the menu. Soon.
It's a place to be shared with family and friends, good food and good company is a universal recipe for a good time. Maybe I'll help spread the word and bring some more friends this time...
Good thing about this place is that they offer "dry" and "wet" (tenderest) ribs. Price is reasonable given the location and the quality of the food. Serving is enough unless you really eat a lot. Since it's just al fresco dining having lunch here can be a bit of a sweat. Best enjoyed late afternoon or evening. I'd rate it 5 but there's something missing from their dirty rice... Maybe a bit more spice?
It is the best rib joint in the Philippines it is really a must try. I enjoiend the open space the place is amazing.
The service is excellent.
Let's start with what I love:
- Open area and a few tables and a killer view
- On-site smoker so you know the slabs come off fresh
- Clean and straightforward menu
- Creativity! Looks like the owner really put effort into the place
- Fresh ingredients! The creamed spinach didn't taste like it came out of a can or a box. Same with the mashed potatoes.
- THE RIBS! Literally falling of the bone. Amazing! Worth every trip!
My wishlist:
- Wings made available next time. It was a holiday and weekend so I get that the deliver didn't come
- Go a bit heavier on the dry rub so I don't have to use the bbq dip
- If possible, Freshly Squeezed Lemonade instead of Crystal Light ;) A bit of spend on the fresh lemmies go a long way.
I could also do with a closer Smokin' Pig, say in the Pasig area ;)
Comin' back for seconda... Kain!

My family celebrated my dad's birthday at Smokin' Pig. We ordered large rib platter with 3 side dish( Mac and cheese, onion rings, dirty rice), char-grilled BBQ chicken, and platter with sausage, chargrilled chicken and beef ( I think). You have a choice of wet and dry with the ribs and both are really good. Their chargrilled chicken is also a must try. Actually, everything we ordered are all good. Even the side dishes. The way it's cooked, the texture, the taste, the sauces, everything. I'd recommend Smokin' Pig to my friends. The only downside is that it's not for family with small children. The dining area is open. When we went there it's very humid at first they only have ceiling fans and one big fan. They should invest on large Iwata fans used for outdoors. Later on it was already raining hard and it's reaching the dining area. I hope they expand and consider having a closed and air conditioned dining area.
The place is quite far and not that accessible, you have to bring your own car or take a cab just to get there but it's worth the travel... I love the place, very good ambiance. I ordered the full rack ribs platter which is already good for 4 persons.. The ribs looks dry but when you taste it, you'll just continue eating it.. It's not too salty and the meat is so tender that it separates from it's bone... For me it's worth the price and i might come back again to try other menu...
Whether they are smokin', tipsy, on the run, flying, black or even blind, pigs are just plain cool. Just ask the multitude of restaurateurs who have named their establishments with "Pig" in conjunction with other words listed above. Despite popular advocacies on "healthy" eating, most people just have a weakness for its sinful yet heavenly meat.
Located at the back area of Capitol Green Street, this hidden joint serves one of the best pork ribs in the metro. We ordered a half slab with two sides and it certainly satisfied our porcine cravings.
Smokin' Pig's ribs were moist, tender, slightly sweet and had the right amount of fat. I also tasted rosemary/thyme, sugar, seasoning, and perhaps a splash of bourbon. It had the appetizing slightly charred brown color outside and was pink inside.
The mac n cheese was excellent. In a previous review (for Gostoso) I noted how I like my mac n cheese and Smokin Pig does it according to my preference. It even has oven -baked and chewy mozzarella on top. The coleslaw on the other hand was average.
RUB actually offers more ( rib and side dish quantity) for the price, but Smokin Pig makes up for this with better tasting ribs, more food choices, wide imported beer selection and a cooler ambiance that overlooks Ayala Heights and Katipunan.
I heard about Smokin' Pig Legendary Rib Joint several months ago because a friend of mine knows one of the owners which is also the chef of this place. Last week, I decided to try it together with few close friends and I loved it.
We ordered Full Rack of Baby Back Ribs with three side dishes. We got two Cajun Dirty Rice and Mac n' Cheese. The rib was pretty huge, good for three hungry people. It was tender and flavorful. I loved their side dishes. The Cajun Dirty Rice was very tasty and it blended well with the sweet and spicy BBQ taste of the rib.
The Mac n' Cheese tasted wonderful. The cheese they used tasted like Parmesan or Mozzarella. It's melted...it's good. I love everything in it.
As for our dessert, we ordered Almond Almond Dessert by the Molten Kitchen Cookiezza with Vanilla Ice Cream. It was a bit pricey for its size but it's just heavenly. It may be too sweet for others but I love sweet. Sweets are my weaknesses. I just love almonds, gooey chocolate, and Vanilla ice cream. It's the best ending ever.
I'll definitely go back here because aside from the food being deliciously made, the people here are warm and the place is comfortable. I can't wait to try their other dishes.
