Perfect for breakfast. The ambience is relaxing and classy. The waiters were very accomodating. Favorite ko yang chocolate shake nila. Babalikan ko to :)
Food is good. Staff is hospitable. Service is quick. Food is homie and delicious! I would definitely recommend it to families and friends who are looking for legit Filipino favorite meals.
Great for all day breakfast and snacks, Ka Tunying here on Visayas Ave fits in nicely with the other restaurants of the hood serving classic Filipino specialties.
We like their pansit and recado longganisa meal, and I enjoyed their champorado.
There's plenty of bread for take-out, and my favorite, their Calabasa ensaymada, is luckily still around. Lovers of barako coffee can also order it here.
The ensaymada's not on their dessert menu and it should be, paired with the barako or their tsokolate. Egg tarts and other cakes are in their fridge display.
My sisters and I love the bangus belly sinigang. The tartness was just right! I so love their champorado with tinapa flakes toppings — perfect for that rainy day. Their coffee is so good too. Place is cozy and the staff are so courteous. Will definitely come back to taste other dishes.
A bit pricey but the food was good. I ate arroz caldo and tokwa’t baboy when we ate here. Medyo matagal lang nai-serve yung tokwa’t baboy ko, but it’s worth the wait! :)
umagang kay sarap! as their menu greets, it is indeed after having breakfast here. ❤️
It’s the classic Filipino breakfast meals that was given a modern twist.
We’ve ordered Champorado with pinipig and served with tuyo flakes, tastes like real cocoa not too sweet and consistency is just right. Creamy baked bangus with salted egg and esalada served with adobo fried rice is perfect, loving the contrast of salty and creamy on this dish. Plating is really nice, very homey feels. It’s kinda pricey but it’s just right for the amount of serving.
We also got the chance to meet the owner, Anthony Taberna.
Not usually a fan of longganisa but was feeling venturesome this morning so for brunch I ordered the Tunying specialty longganisa—chose Batutay—and wow I finished my plate in less than 10 minutes. The sweetness is just right and it blended perfectly with the accompanying vinegar. Perhaps the only longganisa meal I will order aside from McDonald’s (which is not your usual longganisa to begin with but that’s another story).
I also appreciate that they serve breakfast with 2 eggs as opposed to other joints who scrimp with only one egg.
The Tsokolate Ala Eh was served in “cappuccino” fashion with its foamy top layer and tasted like they added a kick of...mocha? It was good but not in an addicting sort of way.
Service is fast and everyone is courteous and accommodating.
Good ambiance and not too crowded. Good food as well! They could improve on their serving size though. Their servers are nice and accommodating.
Arroz caldo and champorado were stellar. Their breakfast offerings are really nice too, especially the "recado" batutay longaniza served with delicious fried rice and sunny side up eggs. Servers are polite and attentive. The place is quiet and clean.
after the toxic morning time to pause for a while to have our lunch. Thanks to my sis sales teammate for bringing me here😉

I've been wanting to try Ka Tunying's Cafe for the longest time and I'm glad I did today. My expectations were not so high before I got here but was really surprised to find the place bigger, more cozy and homey, than I expected. I got their breakfast bestseller Cabanatuan Longsilog and wow! It didn't disappoint in any aspect. I chose the garlic longganisa variant and it was really tasty and bigger than the other longganisas I've tried. The way the eggs were served just made my day happier (parang nago-good morning ang peg! 😊). I partnered this with Ka Tunying's blend. The brew is just perfect for my taste, not too strong not too bland, almost smooth. It comes with complimentary toasted bread. Price wise this cafe is commendable because you get your money's worth if nor more. There's also a bakery section for those who want to take home breads/cakes or to just cap their meal with sweet treats. The staff were courteous and the service was fast. There's ample parking space too, which makes this a convenient place to have a filling meal.
My first visit to Ka Tunyings was memorable. I ordered their champorado with tuyo flakes and Mochabayan. I didn't expect the coffee to be good but it is. Same goes with the champorado, it tastes legit tablea and has a generous serving. The staffs were very accomodating as well, attentive to each of the customers. I would definitely come back to try their other dishes.
*edit: Brought my gf here and she really likes the food that's why we came back here 3 times already.
Desserts after our late lunch at Chubs Chaser. They have savory dishes, coffee, bread and desserts. I saw their mini carrot cake around 5” in diameter it was only for Php 120. I liked how much walnut chunks it had. It came straight from the fridge so it wasn’t as soft but it was still good! I enjoyed it a lot not bad for Php 120.
I would probably go back again to try their breads and other pastries.
Stopped by for a quick merienda. I would highly recommend their pancit canton! The Mochabayan frappe is heaven. But, above all, their cheesecake is ❤
Our craving for arroz caldo one stormy afternoon brought us to this place.
We tried their Bisayas branch as it is within our route to Valenzuela exit.
The place is a two storey resto where main dining area is located on the 2nd floor while a small panaderia is at the ground floor.
My husband ordered the Ka Tunying's arroz caldo with egg @135 ♥️ while mine was Tsamporado with tuyo flakes also at P135❤
Foods were served quickly and in a giant cups.
Our cravings for comfort foods that day were satisfied . Taste ,serving and price . Thumbs up.

Ka Tunying's Tukhang Pasta is one of the best pasta I've ever tasted. The fusion of tuyo, kangkong, fried egg is a good idea! It's really really good, guys. 😉 (5 stars for Tukhang)
Ligaya is a cold beverage with a hint of lychee and coconut milk (+ cherry hehe). Their kapinoychino and barako latte is also good (not included on photos).
Interesting Pinoy menu, reasonably priced dishes and nice interiors. Did not expect much from this branch since I'm not really a fan of Pinoy cuisine (i.e. Tagalog dishes). So I was surprised that their chicken silog was actually good. I would've preferred plain rice over adobo rice since the chicken tocino was already so flavorful on its own. Maybe they should offer plain rice as an option to their silog meals. The pancit canton was also delish. We also tried some of their bakery items such as ube cream bread, kalabasa ensaymada and camote cheese roll. All okay on its price point. 😊
We went here for the 2nd time. Brekky after a good run. Place was nice with enough air conditioning. Comfort room was very clean!
We had champorado with tuyo that tasted so nice. Not too salty and too dry! This time we had one of their group meals- Kampuchero A. The pork belly was fried to perfection. Fish with salted egg was unique and oh soo good! Pancit ni Nanay Benny maybe could improve with more veggies and more pepper or maybe add some chicken stock to make it more flavorful. Mochabayan was the best of all their drinks!
The staff were so accomodating though it took abput 15 to 20 mins. before our food was served (only happened on our 2nd visit).
My friend and I always enjoy the food here. Plus..they give extra rice for free! For beverages, kape berde caught our taste buds with its unique texture. This is a resto of our choice! Cant remember how many times weve been here.
Tukhang Pasta was delicious! The serving was enough for three and busog talaga. It was so good
That i had to try to cook it when i got home. Hahha.😍 I have to remind myself to drop by next time i am in the area.
My first time to dine at Ka Tunying's and it turned out good. I ordered "Pakner A" which is Lechon Kawali plus Pinakbet and rice. The Lechon Kawali is super good!!! Very crispy in the outer but still tender inside. I just find it a bit expensive considering the serving size and there's also SC on top of your bill. But the plating is also nice, at first glance, its already appetizing :)
Ambiance - 4.5/5.0
Ka Tunying's Cafe is clean and a pleasing place to just eat alone or with family and friends. It has two floors and can serve everyone -- those who want to watch TV while still out enjoying dinner or to those who want to smoke.
Service - 3.0/5.0
The crew are good. However, they aren't attentive. I need to go to the counter every now and then just to ask for water. Probably, they can just put a self-service counter next time for condiments.
Food - 4.0/5.0
I ordered Daingsilog because of the Adobo Rice and I actually loved how big the servings were. Though they could've used a better fish for the Daingsilog. Or probably, it is just my preference but still it was good, crunchy and the meal is really heavy.

Went here when it was their soft opening (those days when the issue on gun range was still fresh but nevermind). So i believe things have changed. But before we ordered:
Pandesal platter- satisfactory but not that great
Ensayamada- really nice. Thumbs up for originality
Pastillas de Latte- also thumbs up for taste but i believe the ensayamada is better than this

I dine ate here three times already.
Two times last year, and the third time this year.
So far, good service and affordable prices.
The first time I dine here, customers have to give their orders at the ground floor.
A simple cafe along Visayas Ave., serving all day breakfast, pastries, and coffee...
My drink of choice here is the Maharlikape, coffee cubes with milk. A cheaper version of UCC's Kori Kohi... Aside from liking their Maharlikape, I also like two other non-caffeinated beverages. One is the Agimat-- a shake that combines cucumber, calamansi, and other green stuff (😅) resulting in a very healthy and refreshing drink. I love their Dalandan and Ginger Iced Tea, which I order all the time. It doesn't have a strong ginger taste, which is good news for me... Comes in a flask but I found that I could finish it by myself!😅 mainit guys!
For their baked goods, I find their muffins just okay & a little dry... I prefer their tuna turnover-- affordable, delicious, and kind of heavy as well... Perfect if you are hungry and on a budget!👍
For the all day breakfast, one look and I knew that the owner is a Nueva Ecijano... Their longganisa choices include batutay, which is a sausage made of carabao beef... It is an acquired taste, but those who like it can't get enough of it. Since I figured that their longganisa might be the ones we have in my house, I opted to try their beef tapa. Salty with a hint of sweetness, wifh an egg and brown rice on the side. I liked it but I find their breakfast items pretty expensive...
The place is pretty homey adorned with heavy wooden tables and chairs, giving off that lanai feel... I just feel comfortable here... Come early since it does get packed!😊
Went here with my friends and I liked it. Crew was very attentive and ambience was very homey I have a thing for breakfast and I liked this idea that I'd be able to eat breakfast served meals even at night! 😊 I had here the tinapasilog, which is obviously the sinangag rice with tinapa and red egg! I also tasted the tapsilog which is good. Tapa is tender and not like rubberized when you eat it plus the happy faced eggs that greets you before you eat it! My daughter who's a year and 3 months old also liked the rice and the soup (forgot the name of the soup with broccoli 😅). We also ordered her a kiddie spaghetti which is so plenty. The spaghetti sauce though is somehow sweet with a sour taste probably because of the tomato sauce used in it. I also liked the chocolate cake which is so moist! Sweetness isn't overpowering! Some of my friends ordered tapsilog and vigan longganisa as shown in the pictures that I've included here. And lastly, the Ligaya drink which is delicious, melon taste with sago. Will definitely come back here!

I haven't tried their menu yet but they all look and sound very unique. I've tried almost all of their bread/pastry and everything tastes/look very good specially their croissant and kopi bun. Price of items are affordable and worth their prices because they taste good.
The place is very neat and staff is very accommodating and they always have a great smile for customers.
Looking forward in to trying their whole menu in the future.
Ka Tunying’s Café is simply a bakery café owned by news anchor Mr. Anthony Taberna , also known as “Tunying”.
What I love about this cafe is its interior design looks quite cozy and welcoming. Visitors can also find a portrait of Anthony Taberna’s painting.
Ka Tunying’s Café serves freshly baked breads as well as Filipino inspired dishes , coffee selections and healthy juices.
Here’s what I’ve tried during my first visit here in this café:
Coffee Bun
It’s not just any ordinary coffee bun that you can order from any café or even in Kopiroti as it has a filling of cheese in it. It tastes like coffee from outside but has a cheesy feeling inside. It’s quite unique.
Mochabayan Frappe
This coffee is concocted from a Barako Espresso topped or drizzled with a tablea tsokolate.
Though most of their café dishes might seem costly, I would want to try one of them soon on my next visit.

I have no negative comment to say about Ka Tunying's cafe. Loved the ambience of their cafe. Loved the healthy meals and drinks. Their staff are very attentive and accommodating. My mom loves the place as well! Worth coming back to. 😀
Wow food galing sarap i thot i wont avail my free extra rice but damn sarap so i did avail it
Gooddddd gooodddddd foooodddddd
A must must must return of the come back to me
We went here for breakfast on a Sunday. We arrived around 9:45am and we waited for 15mins to have a table inside. Go here early if you want to have bfast on a weekend. I really wanted to try the baked bangus but it was already not available that time. Haaay. Go early! We ordered pesto pasta, kalabasa lasagna and brownie a la mode. The pasta is only available at 10am. It took them 20mins to serve it. I recommend the kalabasa lasagna. The tomato sauce is not too sour. Not too much meat that's why I liked it. Haha. The pesto pasta is okay. The tuyo is not overpowering the pesto. The serving of the brownie a la mode is too big! It's good for sharing. We also ordered some pastries like the pork floss and the pizza bread. The bread is really goood! Don't forget to try it. It was a pleasant dining experience. Hmmm except that they ran out of bangus as early as 9:45am. Boooo
Going here was a spur of the moment thing. I needed a place to stay in for a while before my appointment at 11am. I just had breakfast so I thought of just ordering one of their blended beverages. I was curious of the Citrumeric Milkshake and I have to say, one great job there, mixologist! I didn't want to finish it at once because I still have to stay a bit longer but I can't help sipping on this blended refreshing goodness. I wish I hadn't eaten yet though, their menu looks delectable. I will definitely update my review when I try your breakfast dishes. Soon!
I find this place one of the best restos here along Visayas ave. I love their breads and their coffee. Their food choices improved but the Filipino taste is always present. I would not think twice hanging out here. I will always come back and recommend this cafe to others.
Good place for Filipino breakfast. Their breads are good comparable to Korean bakeshops but with a strong local twist. Thie coffee and chocolates are the main attraction for me. Especially when you want something different from the existing cafés and coffeeshops. The parking is the main problem. So take outs may be preferable.
Ka Tunying is a place to be when you wanted to just relax and eat comfort food. Their creamy baked bangus and arroz ala tunying is a must try. All-day breakfast is also very good with an extra rice that is served for free upon request. Their coffee is also good paired with their available cake slices... for a perfect ending to a delicious meal.
The food is marvelous. Recommended ang baked bangus, something different and sumptuous. They have rice refill so you get 2 cups of rice per order. The place is so maaliwalas and neat. Superb.
Price range 185-250/meal/person
Tried mochabayan and tsokolate ala eh. Tsokolate Ala Eh is such a comfort drink, it's literally heaven in a sip. I also had their carrot cake, which has the right amount of flavor and moist. The cream cheese frosting was yummy, too.
My mom being an avid am radio listener dragged the whole family to DZMM's radio host cafe for afternoon snacks. Ambiance and location, it's nice. It kinda reminds me of a nicely maintained ancestral home with their wood furniture & mixed floor tiles. :) it has spacious 2nd floor that can fit more guests.
So far I've only eaten their breads and not their meals yet so this review will just cover those & the drinks that we've ordered. I love how they've incorporated unusual ingredients into their breads such as Kalabasa Ensaymada & Tumeric pandesal. I feel healthy after eating them. Coffee-wise be ready to drink strong brew! Even their mocha has more coffee punch than most commercial cafes. They use a lot of locally sourced ingredients such as tsokolate eh and barako coffee beans. Price is not so expensive but quality can still be improved. Coffee averages around P90-110 while their Ensaymada is around P40. Pandesal is just P50 for 10 pcs.
One of the best frappe we had!
My fiancé and my mother in law visited Ka. Tunying's Cafe after visiting the Templo. We just wanted to have a caffeine fix but it truly exceeds our expectation we ended ordering a lot on the menu.
The Tsokolate Ala-eh Frappe is so chocolatey it reminds me of Swiss Miss. The Spiced Chococcino Latte which my fiancé ordered was also ah-mazing, it taste coffee but once it hits the throat damn it is spicy! 😂
The Seafood Spicy Marinara was not spicy at all but still taste great.
Anyhow we would consider visiting it again, hopefully we could catch Ka.tunying and have a group selfie. Hehe
Nice interior and very clean. Food is good but pricey. Loved the big serving! I ordered Rellenong Bangus and hubby, the Baked Bangus. Both are ok. I liked the Relleno more though. Experience would've been better if they don't do pay-as-you-order. It kinda cheapens the dining experience.
A bit pricey maybe because of the interiors. Lol. I ordered tapsilog, taste like the normal tapsilog medyo matabang lang yung sa kanila 😞 then I tried their 'Ensayamada' smoothie, Super tamis! Di ko kinaya. Good ambiance. Good service. My friend recommends their baked bangus belly! That's what she ordered.
I ordered aroz ala tunying and mocha bayan. Masarap naman yung arozcaldo nila pero bitin hehe Mahal sya for the price. Mocha bayan is okay and matapang, I remembered from graveyard shift ako nun dito kami nag breakfast tas 1pm gising pa din ako eh eto lang naman yung ininom ko. I recommend their coffees and drinks especially pastillas de latte kasi masarap sya. Yung mga rice meals nila ordinaryo lang lasa. Haven't try their breads yet.

For curiosity on this talk of the town Cafe of my idol Tunying we headed to Visayas Ave. I tried their Arroz Ala Tunying serve in a big mug. Cute presentation and good for sharing. While hubby tried their famous ensaymada kalabasa and mocca bayan. The wall of the cafe/bakery was design with those expressions of Tunying in broadcasting like "anak ng bakang dalaga" etc. This bakery have varieties of breads and one of a kind flavors of ensaymada. Unluckily was not able to see my idol in person. Will definitely go back again to try other foods. We have breads and ensaymada take out too. Cash basis only!
I Love the coffee latte of this restaurant.,
I also love the pork floss on their bread. It's suit my tastebuds. When the time meets at 9pm onwards, they will give you 30% discount for selected breads only.
