I went here mostly to interact with the cats. The place would be cramped if there are around 7 people at one time, but when there are around 4 people it's fine. There were around 12 cats during our visit but 4 of them were sleeping and only a few were willing to interact. I guess it's important to time your visit to see if the cats aren't too tired yet. Some of the cats were sneezy probably because of being inside an air conditioned room. Seating wise, the comfiest part was near the piano since the seat is cushioned, since the wooden stools are limited. Otherwise, just expect to sit on the floor. There are a lot of cats of mixed breeds including munchkins, which were really cute. The staff were okay but not really that attentive to guests, they only had us sign a waiver about the rules. We had to be the ones to ask about the complimentary food and drinks which aren't a lot. Just some muffins, microwave heated pasta and French fries. Just don't expect a lot of food choices. On the upside, the cafe didn't smell like cat waste, since the litter boxes were covered. The cats also had access to a covered terrace through a pet door. For some cats, the most you can do is pet them for a few minutes before they shy away or clean themselves lol. One kitten was very cute and lay on my lap for an hour.

There are about 20 cats here. They have imported cats from as far as Kazhakstan. A small gallery of their cats are on the table identifying each of their names and their breed. My daughter went crazy! I could hear gasps from the other visitors when my daughter boldly picked up and hugged the cats. Haha. Bawal yun. But she's oblivious to the danger and I just had to keep close watch to stop her from stressing out the cats. The H was so fascinated with the hairless Egyptian Sphinx. Most of the cats are friendly, some would just like to sleep. Some are brazen enough to go up the table while you eat, but the owners put them on time out when they do, in a cage inside, when they're too makulit. You're allowed to pet them, there's a photo of the areas of their body they like. I found out here that they don't like being touched on the head, unlike dogs.

When I came to the café I did not like the very steep stairs, but I can manage. When I went inside I noticed the smell first then the cats 🐱🐱. In there I just had an iced tea but it is a very good place to socialize and be with cats who are sooo cute! I love this place so much.

Went here twice because of their friendly and lovable cats! The place is very spacious and there were toys for us to play with the cats. We got unlimited juice for our stay and ordered some lasagna. The food was okay. Will come back again!

The place is great. It's relaxing around the cats although some of them are seem distant. The food isn't great. Reservations are recommended. They sanitize you before entering.

I’ve been to Barkin’ Blends Dog Cafe before and it was an enjoyable experience. But when my boyfriend invited me to go to a cat cafe, I became a bit hesitant because I’m not sure if the cats there will be as energetic as the dogs at Barkin’ Blends. Nevertheless, we still went to Miao Cat Cafe.

I've been meaning to go to this place for more than a year now and I finally got my chance this weekend. Loved every minute I was there. It was wonderful to spend some time with the cats! :) The Egyptian Sphynx was the sweetest and made my visit worth it. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had another appointment. I will be coming back.

A Place Among The Felines.

I love cats.  I prefer kitties over dogs.  I am the kind you will see on Animal Hoarders (different version of the show,  not the depressing stuff they air on cable).  I'd be the cool cat lady with the cool cat shirt,  oozing with kittie swagger.  My cats would be limited to five breeds - Maine Coon,  British Shorthair,  Russian Blue,  Scottish Fold and Puspin (Pusang Pinoy)

If I believed in pseudo science... reincarnation for example.  I'd like to believe I am a cat in my past life (No disrespect, Sam Harris.  I am merely conveying my profound affinity with the felines)

This review is long overdue.

Miao Cat Cafe, the first cat cafe in Manila.   Words cannot express how giddy i was when i heard the news.  Saying excited (and all other synonyms ) is not enough,  I was over the moon.  This is normal behavior for cat lovers.  (No need to call Dr. Phil)

As soon as i got the reservations.  I got my kittie gear on and off we go to The Place Among The Felines.

First,  Google Maps is the bomb,  we didn't have difficulty locating the place.  I am direction impaired and I dunno much about QC (born and bred in Makati).

Miao is located on the 2nd floor of Cakes To Go.  Be mindful of the stairs,  a lil bit steep.  Before you get to mingle with the kitties,  you have to read the house rules,  disinfect your hands,  remove your shoes,  wear rubber slippers (c/o the cafe) and register.

While i was reading the house rules,  a cute feline caught my attention.  A munchkin (cat breed with short limbs and moves like an insect - maliksi in the vernacular).  And then i saw the myriad of cat breeds they have.  I have this weird habit of thinking out loud.  This is the exact words i said.

"I just died and went to cat heaven. "

Entrance fee is php 300.00, good for two hours and with consumable food.   Do not expect much,  stuff they serve can found inside your fridge (except for Snapple Half n' Half).

We were greeted by an adorable gray kittie.   I think her name is Coco, she was lounging comfortably on our table.  (You can't carry the cats as the owners are avoiding any cat related injuries).  Petting 'em felines is okay.   Coco's hair is as soft as cotton (You can tell if the kitties are well-groomed by touching their fur).   Lounging around on the floor with pillows while petting a cat is the best stress-reliever.

There's one feline I've been eyeing on.  Behold!  The amazing Scottish Fold!  My friend and I named him/her (not sure of the gender)  Jobert.  Do not ask why,  we find it amusing and cute.  He was sitting comfortably while looking at the window (I think he's male),  contemplating on the vastness of the universe.

Another feline caught my attention,  Felix the British Shorthair.  He was doing recon work and wanted a sip of my milkshake.  Shorthairs doesn't have a prominent snout unlike the Puspins.  Fur is not as long as the other breeds but touchin 'em feels like touching an expensive stuffed animal (the kind that you buy at Rustan's or something)

Miao's interiors are filled with cat furniture.  Little bridges on the walls,  scratching poles and the kind wherein kitties can hide (not well-versed with kittie furniture, my bad).   The cafe is strategically designed for cats (for recreation and relaxation).  As for the cleanliness,  i gotta say,  the place is squeaky clean.

This is the perfect place for cat lovers.   You get to spend time with the pretty felines.

Note: kittie with the coins pic is from Facebook page

I've went here twice already. I had better experience on my first visit than my second. Since I had a fun experience, I invited my dad to come with me here. I was disappointed because I was trying to make sure that that day the cafe was really open and wanted to know a landmark, but no one replied to my chat in their FB page and no one is answering the phone call. After trying to call many times, someone finally answered it. When we got there, I was disappointed because the lights in the tree-ish tables are not open. And I was sweating because it is not cool enough. The food is just ok. The frappes are nothing special. But the crew were accomodating. This cat cafe is recommended if you want variety of cat breeds.

I love everything about this cafè!!! The food, the drink, the interior, the service and most especially, the CATS!!! They're so adorable! I can't even with the cuteness.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and I was lucky to have the best spot all for myself. I also got to hog most of the cats because there aren't many customers; it was pure heaven. They're so fun to play with that I didn't notice the time and stayed there for 3 hours (they let me stay for 3hrs bc it wasn't a busy day but customers are allowed to stay for only 2hrs). I didn't even mind that it took like 30 mins for my carbonara to be served because I was so distracted with the cats. Speaking of carbonara, I actually didn't have high expectations for the food since I just came here for the cats, but it was actually really good! Their Cookies and Cream frappe is also great but didn't get to finish it because CATS.

I know the cats are the main attraction here but WOW at the interior. The ambiance was magical and I felt really comfortable under those glowing lights.

Lastly, I just want to say how accomodating the crews are! I must say that their service is my favorite from all the food chains that I've been to. One of the owners even gave me a packet of Royal Canin cat food. So nice of her!

I will definitely go back here!

My friends and I went here last November and availed a promo for students. We just presented our ID and had the experience to enjoy the cats and have the food of our choice for only 150php.

We ordered Porkchop w/ fries, Cake of the Day, and Pasta of the Day. The food was really great. The pasta and porkchop were served warm. The rainbow cake was fresh from the fridge, very moist and tasty. Verdict: 8/10.

The place is quiet, very cozy . We really felt at home for our two hours of stay. Cats here are very friendly and malambing, some would come near our table and jump on our laps.

Want to try visiting something new? Here’s your chance to visit a one-of-a-kind café where you can play with cats. Aside from the fact that you can order food, you can also take a look at some of this café’s merchandise such as clothes and other stuff that you can also buy as a gift for a friend who’s a cat lover.

There are house rules every visitor must follow upon entering this café such as disinfecting (using sanitizer before playing with pets), signing the waiver, changing your shoes into slippers, no poking, no feeding of human foods (of course!), turning off the flash in your camera before taking photos and more. Moreover, visitors are to make reservations should they want to visit this café. Maximum of time duration of visit would be 2 hours already with an entrance fee of P300 that already goes with a complimentary food and drink. Take note, foods are not the main attraction in this café but the cats instead.

During my visit here with my friends, I noticed that some of the cats were hyper while some of them were taking a nap. Observing the place, I also noticed its coziness and warm feeling that welcomes every visitor. Almost all of their dishes tasted good.

Think you’re a cat lover? Don’t miss out visiting this place.

Are you a cat lover? If your answer is yes, well this place is definitely a place for us. Part of hubby's Birthday gift to me was this date with the cats! I think there were almost 20 cats in the room, combination of puspin and cats with breed.

We drove all the way from South just to have merienda with the cats. Thank you so much hubby! You made me the happiest. 😍😍😍

We reached the place past 4pm and they were already having their scheduled maintenance so we had to wait for another 1 hour. They vacuumed and deodorized the whole place. They gave vitamins to the cats and let them eat first. They do this cleaning every 2 hours.

5:00PM - Before entering the cafe, guests should sign the waiver, wear their slippers or you can use your socks and sanitize. They will also provide the menu standee with the cat's name and food choices upon entering the place. You have to pay 300 pesos each and you'll get a complimentary food and beverage. We ordered Carbonara, Lava Cake, chocolate shake and chocomint milk tea. The foods were great, especially their Lava Cake. Gosh! Wish I can put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it.

Some cats were trained and would just sit on your lap. Pet them as long as you want, they adore you for doing that. You just have to be careful with some cats who don’t want to be touched. Don’t worry, the staff were very cautious and will warn you if ever you pet their “masungit” cats.

Haven for cat lovers, specifically cats with pedigree. Not really sold with their savory dishes but their desserts are ok. Cheesecake is ok. Not the best but ok.

The entrance fee is P300 per person, which is inclusive of one food and drink. I personally think it was very reasonable, because the food had decent portions. I loved their milkshake too.

However, the purpose of visiting this place was to see cats, of course. I liked how the staff would play with the cats as well because the cats seem more responsive to the staff than the customers.  A few cats were not as playful, but they are still very adorable. The staff would also talk to customers about the cute felines, and explain some of their behavior.

The place itself is cramped. Because my bf and I arrived late, we weren't able to get good tables, and we ended up being seated  at a table at the loft. It wasn't much of a big deal except that I was wearing a dress and climbing up and down the loft could've had..exposed my indecent side. lol

It is also difficult to get a prime parking spot.

The novelty of having cats in a food establishment definitely pulls the rating up. Food ain't bad either.

The first cat cafe my friend and I went. We were so lucky that we got the cafe all for ourselves. The cats are really fluffy and fat. They're really huggable!

came here for the cats, of course, but I did fall in love with their lava cake! It's super sumptuous! Blueberry cheesecake is good, too.

We also had Pesto, and it was nice, but servings are pretty small.

200 entitles you to unlimited drinks + a serving of pasta, and of course, 2 hours in the cafe with the cats. You can check out their selection of cakes, and kitty-related items, too!

The cats are really cute and adorable plus the place is cozy. You can sit anywhere (there are different tables set up around the place) and the best part is that cats freely roam around the place.

We were not expecting that much because of the previous reviews and ratings which were low. When we got there, the place is nice, the staff are organized and the cats are well and supeeeeeer cute! The food is okay--we ordered Pesto and Potato Salad.I liked the potato salad more although it's just potatoes and cheese. We also had our pictures taken using instax (50 pesos each) and we really enjoyed our time there :)

Definitely a must visit place for cat lovers! Miao Cat Cafe lets you mingle with pet cats for 2 hours while sipping your favorite drink. Entrance fee is P300 for adults, inclusive of complementary food & drink of your choice from their menu.

Upon entering the cafe, the distinct smell of cats and an air freshener was evident, but we don't mind. There were rules you need to follow prior your entry to the place - change to their slippers, sign in the waiver, and read the house rules. Cleaning and disinfecting after your visit is one of their primary concern that's why alcohols and lint removers were available at the foyer.

It was a very cozy cafe and cats can be found everywhere!! According to one of the staff, they've got around 60 cats in total, but only around 20 can be seen in the cafe. I liked how the cafe was built - it looked like an enormous playground for the pets with several hanging bridges were connected with each other. Very conducive place for cats to live.

Cat-designed merchandise can also be bought inside the cafe.

The Main Event

Raisin cookie
Green tea with lemon (hot)
Pesto Pasta
Mocha frappe
Iced tea

Foods are not their main attraction in the cafe, that I can say. I was eating a dry pesto pasta, but the cuteness of the cat and the coziness of the place compensated it. Okay, nuff said.

Cat lovers, don't dare miss this!

A haven for cat lovers. You're paying more for the experience rather than the food. I've been here twice and I definitely enjoyed hanging out here. For 300peso entrance, you get to enjoy the place and it comes with 1 food and 1 drink. However, the food is so-so. And just a tip, for heated meals better eat it immediately because the food gets cold easily. On my second visit, we got the cheesy bacon and cheesy pesto pasta. I took a bite of both and the cheesy bacon tasted better. Very cute interior - I love places wherein I can just sit on the floor. The place is quite small but no complaints on that. I just hope they'll have more food options next time. Overall, I love the place and I'll visit again soon.

Had a great time playing with introvert cats. Cats do have this calming personality that is so contagious.
I enjoyed their food also that is inclusive with the entrance package.

First of all the place is hard to find and we ask around security guards to locate the place. When we get there it was heaven indeed. It is very calming and relaxing to play with the cats since they remove your stress from the toxicity of your work load. The price is good since it already has a food and drink. What I enjoy the most is learning from the owner's cat knowledge she takes pride in sharing each breed of their cats. The waiters and waitress are accomodating since they try to maintain compure in answering every whim of their customer's request.

I love cats! So when my Boyfriend and I heard about "Miao Cat Cafe" a week before his birthday, instantly we decided to visit the place on his special day. My boyfriend looked for their Facebook page and made the arrangement of our reservation. I knew in my heart that I will do everything just to make sure that I will be able to go to the place.

Miao Cat Cafe is located in Congressional ave. corner Mindanao ave. in Quezon City, our way going to the cafe was a fun adventure since we are not so familiar with the area. Coming all the way from Malabon, we took the cab going to Congressional and the fun part started from looking for the place. Thank you to Google maps for helping us locate the place.@

Miao cat cafe was absolutely one of a kind! We started from depositing our shoes and changed to their rubber sleepers. We sanitized our hands to disinfect before playing with our furry friends. We were also asked to read the rules on how to properly take care of the cats and signed  the waiver promising that we are going to be friendly to them.

Entering the place was epic, seeing the cats lying around the place, some of them are looking at us curiously and some were sleeping. The place was cute, we love the ambiance as well as the setting and the designs. It was made specially for the cats and humans were just invited to witness them having fun. We met the Manager Christine and her sister Diane who offered to take a picture of us which was really nice. The staff are friendly and the food was also great.

I am born natural cat lover and visiting the cafe was like a kingdom for me. My Boyfriend and I played with the cats for the whole 2 hours of our reservation. Our experience was "Heaven" we felt like we were kids again laughing and running after each cat who will approach us. We were provided sticks with fur at the end of it that will definitely caught the cat's attention to play with us. The cats were well mannered, they just innocently played and bonded with us, I even sat in the middle area of the place to play with them. And honestly, I was lost for the moment. It was one of the happiest experience I ever had in my whole life. We took a lot of photos and we brought home the satisfied feeling of visiting the place.

The P300 entrance fee consumable with one meal (rice meal or pasta) and a drink was all worth it! The food was great, we ordered grilled chicken and cheesy meat balls which were both awesome and for our drinks we had Cafe Mocha for me and Strawberries and Cream for my boyfriend. He also bought blueberry and Oreo cheesecake for only P60 each for take out and both of them was equally good. Very affordable for its price and way better compared to Sonja's.

According to the manager they are now in the process of expanding the place and they are planning to take care of more cats. Currently they have a total of 33 cats, combination of scottish folds, persian, siamese, shorthairs, napoleon and puspins ? they were all friendly and lovable.

When we were talking to Christine about the place she mentioned "Heaven no!" and that's exactly how I felt! I am in love, our two hour-stay was heavenly and hilariously fun! I am giving "Miao Cat Cafe" 5 stars and my boyfriend and I will definitely go back! I am also recommending this place to all my cat lover and not so cat lover friends, you will absolutely have a great time just like us!

High five Miao Cat Cafe!

I have a confession to make.

I used to hate cats. Or maybe, not "hate"; "dislike" is more apt. So when Miao Cat Café invited me to visit their newly-opened feline haven, I was quite hesitant to go. I didn't want to go and risk being tempted to commit inhumane acts but in the end my curiosity won me over.

Miao Cat Café is Loida Ramos-Benson and Sam Ramos's joint venture for a second home for their cats. They are 2 sisters who have their own cattery at home with 20 cats, who always get visited by family friends because of the cats -- thus inspiring them to set up a cafe.

The cat cafe, the first in Manila, just opened last Valentine's Day and is still under soft opening. The cats' playground has been set up but not in its complete phase yet. Even the menu is still in the works yet, although the cafe already offers pasta, sandwiches, pastries, Arabica coffee and tea to feline-loving guests.

Guests have to pay a consumable fee (PhP300 adults/PhP150 kids) to enter, and are entitled to enjoy the cats for 2 hours—along with a drink and a food item. There are one-hour breaks in between the visiting time slots. so the cats can rest, and the owners can clean up.

When I went, 12 of Loida and Sam's house pets were in the cafe—from Puspins (Pusang Pinoy) to more rare breeds like Scottish Folds and Shorthairs. My personal favorite was Elfiya, a Scottish Fold Highland from Ukraine, a very malambing cat with these cute folded ears and incredibly beautiful white and gray hair that gleams almost like silver. It looked like an owl transformed into a cat! Their cats were so healthy, well-behaved and cute!

Shoes are not allowed inside the shop to keep the animals clean, so guests would be asked to wear slippers upon entry.

An alfresco set-up exists as well, enabling the cats to get fresh air and sunshine. The outdoor space also has litter boxes, cages, and more playthings—and doubles as the cats' dining area.

I loved the fact that the shop is so clean and the owners are so caring towards their cats. In fact, they are so meticulous with their cats' health that if any of their staff is sick, they advise him/her to skip work for the day. Take this as a tip and warning, for you guys who plan to visit.

If you're a certified ailurophile, I have no doubts that you will find solace in Miao Cat Cafe. It's an awesome place to enjoy these furry creatures and appreciate them even more, and a perfect way to support and even mingle with fellow cat enthusiasts.
