The first time I was here, I got so excited with the salad bar they have. Was really have since I get to choose the veggies I want and they have a variety of them. I remember being so full right after and my tummy was satisfied. The tonkatsu were made to perfection.

Good for people who wants to really get the value for money in the salad bar but generally not a good Japanese resto in terms of food taste.
I ordered the Sakura Pork Tonkatsu set for 375 pesos. It comes with breaded canadian pork and unlimited miso soup, white rice and access to the salad bar. The pork has a crispy and crunchy breading but the meat is lean and tender. You would know that they use high quality pork and they season and cook it well. Among the sides my favorite is the potato salad. Its creamy and has the right balance of flavor. What I also like is aside from the usual roasted sesame mayo dressing they also have other salad dressings that you can choose from. I like the thousand island and japanese ceasar dressing.
The staff were all friendly and attentive. Overall my dining experience was good and will definitely come back.

One of our go to lunch with the fam bam during weekends. Katsu sora is not like the other typical unli sides japanese resto where in you have to call for a waiter to refill you rice and side dishes. There set up is like a mini buffet and they have different kinds of fruits, veggies, rice, and condiments to choose from.
Great place! Spacious enough to accomodate customers in big groups. The staff are attentive and very accomodating. Katsu Sora is somewhat similar to Yabu, but instead of having the staff to give the sides. The restaurant has its own salad bar. Unli rice, unli soup, unli tea and unli sides - all available at the salad bar. Food is 5/5 pts. No doubt. They offer big serving that is only for one pax. So I recommend to not order too much because their serving is already big 😊
First time in Katsu Sora, they require you to purchase a meal set so you can have unlimited salads and rice. I ordered the Katsu Curry and the Ebi Furai. They have about 4 types of Katsu and during this time they only had 2 available. Everything was freshly cooked (upon order) and served hot, drawback was minor because the curry sauce was a bit bland (maybe more seasoning?) but I guess that's what the Himalayan salt on the table was for. It also is priced fair, the service is also fast, they even fill up your glass when they see it empty. Overall, it was a nice dining experience. I would have rated this a 4.5 if that was allowed.
We stumbled upon this place while strolling around Trinoma deciding on where to eat. Luckily, we went through and ate here because it was a great experience. The katsu is superb cosidering it was only the sakura katsu version, which was there chepest version. There was not that much curry sauce but it had chunks of chicken and tasted great. They also have an unlimited salad bar where you can get all sorts of sides, rice (white and brown), sauces, and tea. I woll definitely come back and recommend this to my peers. Sorry Yabu, this is my go to katsu place now.
What we had:
Kurobuta / Mille Feuille Sets
What I loved:
Absolutely good food, and great ambience!
The sets are at a reasonable price especially given the nice salad buffet, unli soup, hot tea, and Japanese / brown rice. The kurobuta pork is specially good! The breading doesn’t overwhelm the pork :)
Service is great as well. Very attentive, warm staff.
Great dining experience here, I just found my new favorite Katsu place!
I went to a Katsu Sora in SM City Pampanga but since that place is not on Zomato, I’ll review the food only. It should be the same as this branch.
This is my second visit to Katsu Sora and I’ve finally got to try their Otameshi Tonkatsu Set. Iberico was my favourite type of pork because it was a bit chewy. Perhaps, the Shimofuri pork was a bit thicker than the rest. That said, all of the porks, and I plea to forgive the uncultured swine I am, tasted pretty much the same to me. Good pork but barely any difference.
Their miso soup is one of the best miso soups I have had. You don’t even have to add tsili powder to make it tastier.
I also discovered that you can get unlimited black tea there. That would be my preference over all the drinks they have.

Katsu sora is a go to place for me when ever I am at trinoma. I love the salad bar which has unlimited salad with your katsu. This is the food heaven for anyone who loves katsu and vegetables. I usually order the chicken katsu or the chicken katsu curry set and I enjoyed both. The food is so good that I usually forget to take pictures. I'll have to try to remember the next time.
Was here twice!!! The tonkatsu with cheese in it was sure the bomb!! Salads are everything and will surely comeback. Although I did not really like the curry flavor but I think someone who loves it will prolly love it
Loved our dining experience with Katsu Sora. We ordered the Otameshi tonkatsu set, it's a must order if you want to try all the meat variations. Kudos to the waiters and waitress that served us, very accommodating.
R's impeccable taste never fail me. Every single restaurant he mentioned to be great is indeed a haven for foodies. And when he mentioned that one of his favorite katsu restaurants is Katsu Sora, I was giddy to give it a try. But it felt like I have a curse with this place as all our planned visits to Katsu Sora gets cancelled. Then again, I guess 9th time's the charm.
One of my favorite restos in the philippines! You will never go wrong once you dine here. The food, ambience and the price are all worth it. Okay, lets start with the food. I ordered the sakura katsudon set and sakura pork tonkatsu set; i would say that this food are good, and the serving size is average. Well it sounded mediocre, But what i liked the most here is the unli veggies and varieties of dressings which are all very satisfactory. Ugh! You better put this on your food trip list and you will be thankful afterwards. 😁 In addition, the prices on the menu ranges from expensive to y them. Overall, i loved my experience and we will certainly come back for another happy tummy! Thank you katsu sora!!!! 😘😘😘
Nevermind the katsu, its good already, but don't miss out that salad bar and variety of dressing. Did i mention it was unlimited too? The tea was meh, but thats not the point of review 😂
Would come back with my mom (salad critic)
We dined here to celebrate our post wedding anniv. THe food is good though the size of the chicken katsu is a but surprising for us ( maliit compared to Yabu) But it was a fine experienxe for us coz the servers are nice and the ambiance is also good. The place is clean as well. We enjoyed the unli salad and rice too.
Discovered Katsu Sora while checking out different foodie app. I've been craving for Katsu the whole weekend and decided to have dinner when we got the chance.
When we got there, it was almost empty which was surprising considering the food was actually good. I loved everything we had, from the unlimited sides to the katsu, especially the yakisoba. Must try! The tamago was too sweet for my liking but still, tasty.
Prices are actually average; almost affordable given that almost everything is unlimited. Great place for people with big appetite. Great for group of friends and families too.
Service was fast and servers were really attentive and nice. Dedinitely a must visit!
The best Katsura in Manila! Once you’ve tasted their Katsu, you will no longer accept any other katsu! It’s that good! The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food they serve. Don’t eat too much of the egg and potato salad coz you will easily get full and not enjoy the katsu😂
We dined here for twice.
We love ambiance.
Food was great.
We love the unli side dishes, super sulit!

Definitely legit. Though not a fan of katsu except katsudon ;) Their salad bar is so exciting to dive into specially for those who prefers more salad than an actual meal. They offer meal sets so you wouldn't really have a hard time deciding because they have thought of it for you already. Just pick a spot, wait for the food and enjoy :)
I ordered Crab Cream Croquette and was so good! Your dine in comes with a free salad buffet with fresh fruits and vegetables. Unlimited rice as well.
The servers are attentive and very spacious place.
It's the best Pork Katsudon in town.
Definitely I'll come back for more.

One of the best curry I've had so far - with small bits of carrots and meat, just like the curry I had in a Japanese restaurant at HK. Meat was really tasty and well cooked. Salad bar is superb!! I love the idea of getting my own greens and fruits, with several salad dressing to choose from. I can also get my own tea and rice which are unlimited in all meal set in the menu.
Service was fast. Ambience was good.
The unlimited salad bar - check!
Several variety of salad dressing - BIG check!
Chicken katsu with cheese - check!

Katsu Sora lives up to its name of Katsu Sky or I’d like to interpret it as Katsu Heaven. As the only chain which I know that offers 4 varieties of pork, each visit can be a trip down a different pig. For lunch I had the gorgeous Shirofumi Katsudon while my sister had the Otameshi Set. After many bites later we shared how much we enjoyed our lunch choices.
So why 4 stars lang? I had to deduct a star for presentation—a Katsudon not donburi style (actually served in a sukiyaki style dishware) and side dishes served buffet style leading to crowding in narrow walkways. No matter how exciting the salad bar maybe with all the dressings (my favorite is mentaiko)—the Japanese sensibilities were taken over by the Filipino style of service. But this is my philosophy which you may choose to adapt or ignore.
As a Katsu shop it lives to its name of Katsu Sky. Thanks for the brief heaven on earth feel. Till next time!
I’m amaze on how good this place was. I ordered chicken katsu with cheese, it was tender and delicious. I also loved the unlimited salad bar especially the potato salad and their lemon sauce that you’ll drizzle over the romaine. The tamago that you place on top of your rice was really good. It puts an umami taste to my meal. I’m already thinking of going back here tomorrow or next week.
It's always a good meal whenever we are at Katsu Sora. As usual, I ordered the Sakura Katsudon Set while my boyfriend opted for the Sakura Miso Set. Both were really good. The sakura pork, although it is the cheapest from their selection, was very tender and flavorful. The buffet was also enjoyble because you can choose from a variety of vegetables and dressings.
Katsu Sora has been consistent with the quality of their food since I first ate here a few years ago. My favorite is their Katsu Curry, though not the best, has a tender pork with a lot of carrots and even some chunks of chicken meat. What brings me back is their salad bar, as they do have a variety of sauces/dressings, and aside from cabbage, you have lettuce as option. Both ambience and service are great so it's really get your money's worth.

There were only few people when I ate there, so it was quite and I enjoy my lunch while listening to their background music of early 2000s songs and Meteor Garden soundtrack. Instant nostalgia! Even the other customer voiced out the same sentiment. But I can't help but think it was funny that they are a Japanese restaurant yet they were playing taiwanese songs. XD!

But the highlight of my experience in Katsu Sora was the amazing staff! They were so polite and helpful! I didn't feel like I'm being rushed or watched. I have my privacy, which is really great! But at the same time, they immediately gave me a glass of water without being asked. They kept refilling my water too as soon as they saw it was empty. I also dropped my chopstick and I didn't need to call them at all, they quickly gave me a replacement. Top notch service! I'll keep coming back for that alone.
All-in-all: ⛤⛤⛤⛤⛤
5 stars for the awesome staff and nostalgic background music!
I had a great time and will definately come back again!
My first time to eat or dine here, was last January 30, 2018, Tuesday.
So far, good food, good service. The prices are a little bit expensive.
Diners who ordered any of their sets, will have unlimited deserts, unlimited soup, and unlimited rice.
One thing I like about the restaurant, is that, they play J-pop (Japanese pop) songs. The only song I know, at the time my family & I ate there, is the opening (theme) song of Ghost Fighter/Yu Yu Hakusho.

There’s quite a gastronomic appeal to a juicy piece of pork, breaded and fried such that the outside is crispy while the inside is tender and flavorful. So here lies the reason why I found myself, along with some of my coworkers (the usual suspects when it comes to foodie lunch adventures, to be honest), traveling quite some distance from the office to Trinoma Mall to dine at Katsu Sora.
I was quite disappointed with this branch (Trinoma) after being heavily spoiled by their Greenhills Promenade branch. Katsu Sora was my go-to place for a quick curry fix. I found the katsu curry in Trinoma branch a bit lacking. There was hardly any curry to dip my katsu in.
The place is big and can accommodate lots of people but their fruit bowls at the buffet are so tiny. They get empty fast before it's my turn.
But I think my companions enjoyed their meals.
Staff was great.

I would like to rate it higher than 5 stars but since 5 is the highest here, I just wanted to commend this restaurant for its extra mile service. Aside from the delicious food with UNLIMITED rice, salad, soup(for set meals) and good ambiance, they are also very accommodating and they are very honest. My BF left his sling bag in Katsu Sora Trinoma branch, all of his phones are there and we were not able to notice it agad. Before going home, we noticed that he forgot his bag and he immediately went back to Katsu Sora. It was well kept. One of the staff there assisted him considering that they are already closed. They even put a tag on the bag for it to be returned accordingly. Thanks for this act. You're a perfect package to everyone.
This is probably my spot for Katsu. Jump to the salad bar while waiting for your order, the meal is worth the money indeed.
Although, because I don't get to have much rice than I used to, it would have been nice there are single rice combos (just saying)
Date of visit: November 11, 2017
We arrived around 4pm..both famished because it was our lunch. Super late lunch lol. I thought the restaurant was small because the exterior wasnt that much. But then when you walk inside, first thing they'll ask you is 'Ramen or Katsu'. OF COURSE!! KATSU!! Hihi. Oh myy. The interior is huge. A++++!! Our seats were comfortable and big enough to accommodate 4 people.
They have unlimited servings of rice and salads..both located at the salad bar counter. I ordered the Sakura katsu curry set, while my guy got the sakura katsudon set. They were served beautifully!! The katsu sauce was really good. We want to take it home with us, same with the cabbage salad dressing. Lol.
Prices were reasonable. Staffs were super nice. The service was great. AC was just right. It was a happy and memorable
10 month date. ☺💗
I recommend this place! Super!
We had lunch! Twas a Monday so we had the place literally all to ourselves during the lunch hour. We ordered the Butadon, Salmon fry, and Sakura katsudon set. The refillable items were filled with fresh vegetables, and fruits. I think there were at least 9 salad dressings available as well. Brown rice was quite dry though. The items were served warm, so you could dig in almost immediately ^_^ Everything tasted good. Miso soup was hot and had pieces of seaweed. Katsudon was juicy and flavorful. I was amused that a tealight candle was placed underneath the serving bowl (?) to keep it warm. The salmon was dry though.
I really like the ambience there. They were playing Japanese versions of American pop songs (they all sounded like an anime soundtrack tbh :) ). The aircon was also working properly, and ventilation was a-okay. Service crew is attentive and friendly as well. They refilled my glass with water ( multiple times haha I drink a lot) without me signalling to them. They would also suggest good dressings to put our salad bowls.
Overall, twas a good dining experience. Will go back soon!
I've been here a couple of times and can say that the taste and quality has been very consistent all-throughout. Food and serving size are good, pork is tender, and the selection of fruits and vegetables in their salad bar are very fresh.
Place looks nice, but it can be a little warm at times. Service was good and quick. Restroom was so-so, can't say it was clean.
In my last visit, however, my teacup still had lipstick stain on it from the previous user. Fruits were not as sweet, but maybe it was because they were serving off-season fruits. Oh, and they've put effort in decorating for Halloween, too—nice!
If you're in for a happy tummy moment, have your fill of unlimited salad, fruit, rice and soup together with your tonkatsu (all varieties are quite good—the menu does not lie about descriptions and their photos are accurate) at Katsu Sora.
Staff is quick and proper (look for the half-Japanese chap named Kim for extra Feelz).
Ambience is typically Japanese resto. Bring hungry friends! Recommended.
This is the first time i visit katsu sora. I order for kurobuta katsu. Frankly speaking it does not fit me because the meat is fatty. My wife order for katsu with cheese. The taste is awesome. The most interesting is they provide unlimited rice, salad and rice. Love it very much. Summary: kurobuta is a big no. But katsu cheese is a must to tried
Food is good. One thing I love here is the buffet of rice and salad. Have different taste test of their salad and all good. Regarding their viand, I can't say that it outstands others, just okay. Value for money is great. Ambiance is great as well.
Katsu Sora is my favorite Katsu place. Way better than Yabu but is much more underrated! Best part is their unlimited, buffet-like salad, side dishes, soup and rice. Best value for money if you're craving for Katsu!
My favorite katsu house! Their selections of katsu were all super delicious 👌👌. My personal favorite would be their chicken with cheese and ohba set, and ebi furai set, YUM YUM!!❤ All set menu comes w/ unlimited rice, soup and refill at their salad bar 😍😍 Love their potato salad and fruits, by the way. The place were super cozy as well, perfect for a family dine out. 😊😊
We got here almost 9pm but the place was still packed and we were third on the queue. I took this as a good sign that the place is good. We were seated not even 15 minutes later.
The place had a great ambiance and service was good. The staff were nice and attentive. The food didn't take long to arrive but the taste was not compromised.
They also had a salad bar with coleslaw, potato salad, corn, etc. They had fresh fruits as well as self-service unlimited rice all in the same section.
I had kurobuta katsudon set which came with rice and miso soup. The serving was pretty cool because it had a candle underneath the katsu bowl which i really found cute and the katsu itself was big. It also tasted really good and the unli rice feature was thoroughly taken advantage of. I didn't like the miso soup though. But everything else had katsu sora gunning for that 5.0 review. Will definitely come back here.
Katsu sora has very friendly staff that will attend to you as soon as you enter their premises as rhey need to determine whether to seat you in their katsu area or ... that right wing (I forgot 😜).
They set up the place in a way that people can still move around. They cater mostly to groups and families although I can see myself dining alone here too.
Food: We ordered the set meals so it was a little pricy (Php 500-600). But its actually all you need! It has a couple of sides and a glass of iced tea. I ordered a couple more items and we almost couldn't finish it up. Food was pretty good taste-wise. The tempura, the katsu, the sides, it was all pretty tasty.
Price: Not really for an everyday kind of budget but its worth the trip once a week or so.
Very much recommended.
Was supposed to eat at another Japanese resto for our anniversary lunch, but it was still closed. No regrets, though, as my boyfriend and I absolutely enjoyed our lunch here! At first look, the place seemed small, but upon entering, we were amazed by the classy interior and ambiance! I immediately saw their salad bar, which made me confused at first; a katsu restaurant with a salad bar? Such a pleasant surprise!
We ordered two katsu sets: Otameshi for me, Kurobuta for my bf. While waiting for them, we were given our salad bowls, and we really enjoyed their salad bar!!! Deliciously fresh, with 9 kinds of dressing! It was salad heaven!
My katsu set was a sampler of 4 kinds of pork katsu: Sakura, Shimofuri, Kurobuta, and Iberico. The former two had almost no flavor, so it is necessary to use tonkatsu sauce or other condiments. I enjoyed the latter two more, especially the Iberico variant, which were softer and much more flavorful than the first two. The Kurobuta set was nicely presented, but the plate was set on a tiny pedestal, which could pose a danger while eating. Actually, the server who brought my bf's order cautioned him to be careful, but eventually, the plate was too unstable, especially since the katsu wasn't as soft as another katsu place I frequent. A server was quick enough to assist my bf and removed the mini pedestal, which could have been done prior to eating. That minor mishap's forgivable, though, as we really enjoyed the food. :)
Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I can't wait to go back. Their katsu isn't at par with my favorite katsu place, but their salad bar really wowed me, so I'm really looking forward to eating here again. :) Oh, and I love their layu sauce, too!!! Great with their rice, which can also be garnished with 3 kinds of flavorful seasonings! Yum!
Katsu Sora is different from other similar Japanese restaurants because it offers a salad, soup, and rice buffet. Their Sakura pork is a must try!
My boyfriend ordered their best seller - Iberico Pork Tonkatsu Set. It was delicious. Worth every penny. I ordered their mixed seafood set - it was okay - nothing special. Would I come back again? Yes.
Had their Otameshi Tonkatsu Set where we got to taste all 4 kinds of pork for Php500. No regrets. All were yummy.
Also, we liked that we didn't have to call a waiter every time we need a refill of the sidedishes as they have a buffet salad bar. I particularly liked their potato salad.
My expectation was high when I saw the 4.2 rating of this restaurant in Zomato. However, I was a little disappointed. I ordered the pork katsu sampler which has four variants of pork in it. The cost is 500 pesos. It is served with rice, soup, and salad. They have a salad bar where you can choose and mix your own salad for unlimited. The katsu was very tender but they don't have distinguishable flavor from each other. The salad bar was good and I commend the potato salad with egg. The place is clean but the price is was just too much for the katsu.
One of the best Katsu restaurants out there. I always order the Sakura Pork Tonkatsu Set. It comes with an unlimited refills of rice, salad, and soup. Their katsu is one of the best katsus ever and the salad bar makes everything right.
Ambiance - 5/5

If you love japanese food specially katsu you better check this place out. The staff is accommodating, friendly and very cheerful, the ambiance is perfect, the quality of their food is great! They have unlimited rice, soup, tea and SALAAAD!
Located at the garden, 4th floor of trinoma, this resto had similar concept to Yabu -katsus +unli salad, fruits, soup, and rice (buffet style) except its a little cheaper.
The interiors were zen inspired, the cooling system was a little down tonight so it was hot.
I ordered their chicken katsu with cheese (350pesos). I made my way first to their buffet salad station, they have assortments of greens, cabbage, potato slad and squash salad. They have many dressings to choose from (I go with sesame soy dressing).
I loved my katsu, the panco breading was light and airy, the chicken was really tender, the cheese with the basil adds to the taste.
A little lacking on service department, we asked for the bill around 3-4x from different servers, it took us 15minutes to get it.
Overall, i would still come back to this place.
All of Trinoma's restaurants can be found elsewhere. It's one of the reasons why I don't frequent this mall on top of its distance from where I live. My friend and I did stumbled to Katsu Sora (currently with 5 branches) when its nearby Mochicream's aircon was busted. We had to order something to be able to sit down and as such we availed one of their sets.
Tonkatsu is still thriving from its emergence years back. We got the Php 365 Sakura Oroshikatsu Pork Set. It is Canadian pork which is leaner with less fat. The flavors are still intact despite lessing marbling of fat. The set comes with Japanese rice, miso soup, hot tea and unlimited access to the salad bar. What a deal! The bar has 11 kinds of fruits and vegetables and you combine with 5 choices of dressing.
they have an unlimited salad bar that is not jsut the shredded cabbage that katsu places normally offer. They have tomatoes, potatoes, pretty much a complete salad bar. soup is also unlimited as well as rice (which you get on your own near the salad bar).
we tried the assorted pork set to try the various pork (which pretty much tasted the same) and the seafood sampler. the salmon which was particularly nice tender and juicy inside.
I like Katsu Sora than all other katsu places because they have a salad bar rather than just waiting for cabbage refills.
My favorites at the salad bar are Japanese style potato salad, mixed salad greens and broccoli. There are still the cabbage but they have some tomatoes and cucumber too to make any salad eater happy. The salad bar comes with at least 6 types of dressing (the creamy wasabi is my fave!) and also some fresh fruits. It's so healthy!
We ordered the katsu sampler plate which is good if you can't seem to make up your mind. For Php500, you get the iberico, sakura, Kurobota and shimifuri. The breading in some pieces were just too thick. It's available from 11am to 5pm.
Best katsu in the town period. Better than yabu. There I said it. Don't make a mistake to enter the ramen next door which sucks damn bad. They got different pork but trust me. It's the same local pork they buy at the butcher down the corner of the street. Don't waste 600 over the same pork which u can get for 300 lol. Humble piece of advice. Food and salad buffet is great. Try for yourself.
I think Katsu Sora is an underrated tonkatsu restaurant that deserves all the hype. What differentiate it from others is their side dish/ salad choices. Normally you just get shredded lettuce but in Katsu Sora, they have potato salad, whole lettuce, etc. Salad buffet! It's very sulit. I tried the katsudon and I loved it. The way it was served is similar to the katsudon I tried in Osaka. The sauce is yummy and the pork is cooked perfectly. Be ready to finish it cos you will probably be full from all the salad
Place: well lit and spacious.
Service: staffs are very accommodating, and client oriented.
Food: for me this is the best japanese restau that serves katsu! The taste is addicting and distinct.
Plus points for unlimited make-your-own salad.
We went here to celebrate my Mom's birthday. It's all our first time to visit this place. I'm an avid fan of katsu so when I discovered this place, I was really excited to dine here especially since I'm with my family. All of us had their Sakura Pork Tonkatsu Set while the birthday celebrant had Chicken with Cheese and Ohba Katsu Set and my little brother had their Kids Meal. We ordered different drinks as well, which came in such cute glasses! I should say, I would give them a thumbs up for having a meal especially for children. 👍 I loooove the flavor of their katsu! 💖 In fact, I love everything in this restaurant - their food, staff and ambiance! I'm so glad that I brought my family to this place for my Mom's birthday. This place definitely made it to my list of my all-time favorite restaurants! 😋
Me and my family have been to Katsu Sora a lot of times, not only because it's one of my mom's favorite restaurants in Trinoma, but also because of the quantity and affordability of its menu. Compared to the popular Japanese restaurants within Manila that offers breaded fried meats or seafoods, Katsu Sora makes it different by providing a buffet bar with choices of salad, fruits, rice and sauces.

Our new favorite for a change in lifestyle. ❤ their salad buffet is the best! Their katsus are very tasty along with the sauce. I would never regret returning to this place with my loved ones.

I so love the ambience and design of the place. Mix seafood set is a must try with unlimited salad, rice and soup. 👌💛❤️💜💚💙 they have a wide range of salad to choose from (my favorite part).
Truly a great place to dine.
Upon entering, you'll notice 2 doorways: Santouka and Katsu Sora. Well, i've tried the former through their MOA branch (with review). So we tried this katsu place.
The place is really pretty; with faux sakura trees and wooden furnishings. Further, meals come with unlimited salad and rice (provided for in the bar and self-serving).
The food is very tasty and fresh. Truly an must try. However, the let down for me is the service. Tho well-mannered and presentable, there are only 2-3 servers present and it was during dinner rush. So the service was slow.
✌🏻️
Ordered the Otameshi Set, and Iberico Pork is my favorite among the four (Others: Sakura, Kurobuta, Shimofuri). Like every pinoy, I also love everything UNLIMITED! They have unli soup, salad, and rice! Wish they also have unlimited/bottomless drinks. The staff are quite accommodating and the place itself is nice. The only cons are their tea is not hot or warm at all and the rest room is not clean or at least well maintained. Over all, my friends and I had a great dining experience. Oh, and so far, this has the most reasonable prices on the menu compared to the katsu restos I've been to!
Ebi Furai Katsudon Set is sooo good! For me, Katsu Sora serves the best Katsudon. :) I also love their potato salad and their orange juice.
I noticed that the quality of food varies per branch. I tried Katsu Sora in Trinoma and in Eastwood. Trinoma Branch has better quality food compared to Eastwood Branch. The salad bar is also larger in Trinoma branch.
One of our favorite Jap place is Katsu Sora. Quality of their ramen is 👍👍👍👍👍 I like theirs better than Ramen Nagi. No wonder its always packed inside. Too bad they don't serve sushi or sashimi but they have amazing rice meals to choose from. Pricing is a little bit expensive but for the quality of the food I dont mind paying extra.
Love the salad bar!
Katsu Sora is one of the places where you can get authentic katsu cuts that boasts japanese breading called panko. Same with Yabu and Maisen, which I had already got the katsu experience, each katsu set here in Katsu Sora comes with unlimited rice, salad, miso soup, and fruits. Only difference from the mentioned katsu houses, Katsu Sora takes pride on their salad bar with different greens, along with complimentary green salad elements such as corn, cucumber, onion and tomato, some potato salad, and the wide variety of salad dressings: from your usual thousand island to creamy wasabi.
For our orders, Mark had the Sakura Pork Katsu Set and I had the Chicken w/ Cheese and Ohba Katsu Set. While waiting for our katsu, the attending server gave each of us a salad bowl. And of course with no second thoughts, we pranced our way to the salad bar! Hehe. For my first bowl, I went for my usual salad concoction: lettuce, cucumber and loads of corn with thousand island and caesar dressing. Mark had some variety of greens plus caesar and creamy wasabi dressing. I didn't expect to like it, but creamy wasabi is a must try. The wasabi mixes well with the mayo and not at all overpowering it. Since it was a salad buffet, we had several returns to the salad bar and I highly recommend their potato salad, not your normal potato salad because they had it mashed giving a nice texture against the mayo. For our katsu, as usual panko breading didn't disappoint. With that amazing crunch yet keeping the meat tender. For my Chicken w/ Cheese and Ohba Katsu, I love how the cheese keeps the chicken moist and nice touch on the basil leaves inside the katsu. The servers were fine, but I have to say the 10% service charge was a bit too much considering they just practically served our katsu and the rest of the works were all us. However, I need to commend how beautiful the place was, with that Japanese feel and the big table we had during our meal.
I have enjoyed the entire experience, especially the salad bar with all the dressings and greens and fruits. However, when it comes to katsu, I still prefer the pioneer for katsu houses, Yabu. Nonetheless it was but a lovely afternoon dining experience.
I and mom dine here after we attend mass at Trinoma mall (St. michael chapel) We ordered, Chicken katsu and Chicken and cheese with ohba katsu set. The place is so cozy and elegant. I love the restaurant concept: the black and red walls with plants and also the little tree in the middle of the crowd. (I don't know what's the name of the plant. But it is beautiful!) In terms of food, nothing special with their Katsu. The taste is just ordinary but, it is not oily. What makes this restaurant extra special is the salad bar. Their salad, soup and 2 options of rice is unlimited when you avail the "set" (ex: chicken katsu set) from their menu. The miso soup is not that delicious. Regarding sa salad... Sobra talaga siyang nakakabusog agad. Kaya i suggest na, wag muna masyado kumain ng salad kapag di mo pa natitikman yung inorder mong main course. I'll surely comeback to taste their Ebi Fry/Tempura. ❤️
PS: The first thing you'll see in this restaurant is their dessert bar. 😊
We had lunch at Katsu Sora on a Sunday and it was packed! I suggest going there a little early to avoid the waiting line.
Ambience
The place is cozy. They share the space with Hollaido Ramen Santouka and Mochicream Cafe.
Food
We ordered:
- Mixed Seafood Set
I liked the salmon and crab croquette but the tempura had too much batter for my liking.
- Sakura Pork Tonkatsu Set
Liked the presentation! The pork tasted
good.
- Otameshi Tonkatsu Set
This is their pork tonkatsu sampler set so you get to taste the different types of pork that they offer. Sakura Pork was the one I liked best. The other types of pork are
probably too lean and therefore too bland for my taste.
What's different:
Just like the other katsu places, Katsu Sora sets come with unlimited salad, rice, soup, and fruits. But instead of being served to you, they have a buffet table so you can just get whatever you want.
They offer different types of salad also unlike the other restaurants that only serve cabbage.
I went home full to the brim and didn't feel the need to have dinner! 😊
Trinoma is one of the food hubs in Northern Quezon City. My family and I are a fan of Katsudons, so we decided to try Katsu Sora in Trinoma. It's located beside Mochicreme Cafe at the 4th floor. What's unique about this restaurant is its Salad Buffet, where you can choose what kind of vegetable / dressings you want. I ordered the Sakura Pork Tonkatsu Set (120 g, Php 345)I would say that it's worth the price because the pork was on the lean side. I also tried their Calamansi Sprite which was interesting. My sister ordered the Sakura Katusdon Set ( 120 g, Php 370) and she said that it's one of the best Katsudon she tried (in comparison to Yabu, Maisen, Ginza Bairin, etc). We'll definitely come back!
Trinoma is far from where I live but I go here a few times to accompany my gf whenever she needs to get a haircut. Although this time I decided to get one, too. Katsu Sora was where we decided to grab lunch before our appointment. The restaurant can be easily missed since the entrance is small compared to other restaurants in the area. But it's connected to the ramen resto next to it so you can use that as a "landmark" to find this place.
We tried their Otameshi Tonkatsu Set (four kinds of pork) and their Ebi Furai Katsu Set (tiger prawns) which both came with unlimited salad, soup, and rice from their buffet bar.
I loved the shrimps! They weren't oily and were cooked perfectly. My gf enjoyed trying the four kinds of pork (Iberico, Kurobuta, Shimofuri, and Sakura) but she only liked two out of four.
We also enjoyed making our own salad from the bar although I was disappointed because I was looking forward to trying their Gokokumai Rice (5 grains) but it wasn't available. Maybe next time.

I come here for the salad bar.. 😅
I had ebi fry today. The shrimps were fresh and plump, but the batter was too oily, i had to take most of it off.

The first time we've been here is when we celebrated my ate's bday. My ate suggested this restaurant and when she said that it is rice all you can and salad all you can resto, we agreed immediately. We did not regret it because the food is great (if not a little bit pricey), the crews are kind and very approachable. We will definitely come back for more :)
Personally, I can say Katsu Sora is at par with Yabu. Yes, Yabu may have the better tasting katsus but Katsu Sora's salad bar offers a wider variety of salads; garden salad, fruit salad and other side dishes. I ordered the cheese and ohba mille feuille set cos I'm a certified cheesophile! The meat was so tender and the cheese oozing from the inside was just so damn good. I managed to eat 4 bowls of rice. I'll definitely come back here and try their other katsus!
FOOD 10/10! This is what I'm talking about. Imagine a katsu restaurant with their 4 styles of (120g) big cut pork tonkatsu that has a unlimited salad counter filled with hot tea, fruits, soup, sauces and rice. And its delicious. Can't forget the creamy wasabi dressing. I ate a lot. -drooling-
SERVICE Also amazing! No one stopped me from getting more bowls for my cravings. You just have to ask what you want and they will give it to you. I was even prancing around the restaurant because my baby wants to sleep. We even got photo ops using other tables and still when we left they just said bye with a smile. Wow!
PLACE Beautiful and elegantly designed to transport you to a wonderful place. It feels like you just arrived in Japan. Its located on the 4th floor of Trinoma Mall beside TGIF. Its a 2 restaurant and 1 cafe area that we are planning to try it out soon.
PRICE Now comes the most wow of them all. P345 for my Sakura Pork Tonkatsu Set! P370 for the Sakura Pork Katsudon Set! And P365 for the Sakura Pork Tonkatsu Curry Set! This delicious pork is the lowest of the 4 styles. Imagine what the the best one tastes like. Hayyyyy!
OVER-ALL We're coming back in a few days. Hehehe. Diet?!? What's that? -wink-
Unli rice, soup, side dishes & fruits! I love their curry sets; the sauce is mild enough to still let you savor the pork. Would've been better if you can cross-order though (Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is just right beside it)...
For me this restaurant so far is one of the best. I don't really like japanese food but i enjoyed their food and i think its good. When the waiter was done getting our order he gave us a bowl and told us we could get our salad. So me and my friend were looking at each other. Yeah! They have free salad and unli miso soup i think. 😊😊😊
This place is one of my new favorites. I love the idea of unlimited salad and rice. I like the taste of their katsu and the ebi furai my boyfriend ordered. The serving size is good. I super love the salad bar and all the varied dressing. There is also a hot tea area on the side. I like their miso soup as well. There is an enjoyable amount of sesame and honey on each table. I placed sesame on top of my refilled rice and I super like it. The place is cozy and the staff are approachable. I recommend this place for dates.
We ordered Kurobuta pork tonkatsu set, chicken with cheese and ohba katsu set and mixed seafood set. The katsus are all cooked to golden perfection. I love the fact that all sets comes with unlimited rice, salad and soup. There's a wide selection of salad and my personal favorite is the potato salad. I will surely go back to Katsu sora. 👍
Super worth for its price! Some meal sets are quite pricey, but it is worth every penny. This restaurant serves unlimited miso soup, rice, and appetizers. You can also choose from a wide range of salad dressings. They have this mini bar where you can choose what appetizer you desire. We actually did not notice the wait time because we were busy choosing appetizers. The waiters are very accomodating as well. Definitely will be back to try the other meal sets!!
I had a good time eating here as they serve quality meat from parts of the world, they have an open salad bar with limited selections. Katsudon sauce is a bit sweet.
The interiors are also well thought of, service needa work as they are not very attentive.
My boyfriend and I are fans of restaurants that specializes in katsu and serves unlimited soup, salad, rice, and fruits. One such restaurant is Katsu Sora in Trinoma.
The resto shares a space with two more establishments -- Santouka and Mochicream Cafe.
Similar to other katsu places that we've been to, Katsu Sora also has a Japanese ambiance but with relatively more comfortable seats (since most of the seating available are couch-type seats). The casual vibe makes it more comfortable.
While this resto also offers unlimited serving of soup, rice, fruits, and cabbage, what makes it different from the other katsu places that we've tried is that they have a buffet bar where diners can have their fill of salad, rice, and fruits. Only the soup needs to be requested from the wait staff (and I wonder why). Aside from cabbage, diners can have lettuce and brocolli with carrots, onions, corn, and tomatoes. Diners are also given a variety of salad dressing options. It was quite fun tasting the other salad dressings.
I ordered the Cheese & Ohba Mille Feuille Set (Sakura Pork) - if you have read my other reviews, you would know by now that I am a cheese-lover so choosing this was a no-brainer. The layered pork slices, basil, and melted cheese made my mouth so happy.
On the other hand, my boyfriend went for the Sakura Pork Tonkatsu Set - if you're a little health-conscious but still wants to taste some flavorful tonkatsu, this one is for you. This is on the lean side with a little bit of marbling so you won't feel as guilty indulging yourself with this treat.
For drinks, I ordered the Calamansi Sprite mix because I got curious. It was just that, Sprite mixed with Calamansi. :p
Will definitely go back here to try the other katsu sets. :)
Proof that I don't have a discerning palate...😁
We found ourselves at GH weeks ago... We wanted to try something different and we have never tried Katsu Sora... Well, because we figured katsu is katsu and we have already been to the usual suspects...
Anyway, it was a typical Japanese restautant, clean and pleasant. They have a salad bar (which also includes fruits), 2 different kinds of rice, and miso soup... They do have more choices for salad dressing than other similarly themed restaurants...
I ordered the otameshi set, which had 4 kinds of pork katsu... I got to try the Iberico, Sakura, Shimofuri and Kurobota variants. I liked the Iberico best but bf and I couldn't really distinguish between the different kinds of pork... We both liked his order of katsudon, which had a nice presentation... Katsu is katsu, but it is always a good idea though!👍 Servers were also very attentive! 😄
