On Solitude: A Uinner's Taste

I was eyeing for something low carb or no carb at all. The items i had were awesomely good. The asparagus i had is crunchy and juicy. The chicken is very cheesy and i had bunch out of the two items i ordered. It was a filling meal and im definitely going back to try some more.
I really liked the rolls but their tempura was to die for. I ate here upon the recommendation of a friend and was pleasantly surprised with what it has to offer. It wasn’t crazy expensive so you wouldn’t really expect the highest quality but I will keep coming back because everything was simple and tasted good and worth its price. They can get a bit undermanned during peak hours so waiting can be a bit long.
Must be here at least once a month. Kids' favorite go to place. Gray value for money without sacrificing quality or taste.
I always go for the Chirashi Don. But everything else is great.
Wish theyd come out with a loyalty card haha.
My daughter loves their Shoyu Ramen, she orders it every single time. I love the Kani Salad and the Agedashi Tofu. It's fried to perfection, golden brown on the outside yet soft and silky on the inside.
Ordered Miso Ramen, Ponchi Kani and 2 Tamago Sashimis which were all amazing. The price is reasonable and the place had a nice ambience. But I'm big on service, and our orders took a while plus we had to follow it up, twice. I'd come back for the food though.
Quick lunch : Staff are nice and friendly. However, they got our orders wrong at the kitchen. They served us Tofu Steak instead of Tonkatsu so we had to wait for another 10 mins. The food is okay and there's a wide selection to choose from though won't be my first thought when I think of good Japanese food.
I actually do not have any expectations going here, but, boy was I surprised. I enjoyed dining here.
First off, we ordered Kani Salad Maki and Philadelphia Roll. For us, the Philadelphia Roll tastes weird, but Kani Salad Maki was the bomb! We really liked it. It's a twist from the ever common California Maki.
For our mains, we had Ika Teppan and Beef Teriyaki. Both dishes were flavorful that one rice is not enough.
We also tried the Kimono Ken Special Drink but it's too sweet for our tastes.
All in all, we were very satisfied.
We went here for our dinner date and I was surprised as to how competitive the price is for the menu. I tried the moyashi ramen. Yes, it's good for the first bite but eventually, I lost the excitement for this ramen mainly because of the taste and what's in it. There are very few stuff in what was served for me. However, I liked the seafood ramen. (Maybe I'll give it a 3.8/5 because of my expectation in comparison with the price.) For dessert, I ordered green tea jelly. It's flavorful though its jelly was more bitter than expected. The ice cream part is commendable. The place and staff is okay. Overall, I give it a 3.5, I think there's still room for improvement.

Pretty much enjoyed everything on the menu ☺️
We ordered sukiyaki (P320+)
Cordon bleu (P190)
And the pork teriyaki (P200)
And plain rice for (P45 a cup)
The sukiyaki was great! At first i thought it lacked taste but as time went by it tasted better and better. Maybe it was too hot the first time haha
The chicken cheese roll (cordon bleu) it was good. Especially with the sauce. But i wish they used mozarella or just normal melty type of cheese instead or cream cheese.
The pork teriyaki was alright. Idk it lacked taste in my opinion but i asked for some donburi sauce and it made it all better. It was a sulit meal. Our bill was 850+
Very good sushi and love their fried tofu.
Gyoza was okay and the Japanese rice was served the way I wanted it to be.
This branch is not very spacious esp during peak hours but it's fine ' coz the staff are ready to accommodate us.
Had a quick dinner here. What stood out for me was the Chicken Cheese Roll. Rice serving is big -it could be shared by 2 persons. We also had coffee jelly for dessert. We should have ordered it ahead of time because the ice cream was still frozen when it was served. But the serving was also big and good enough for sharing.
Best "affordable" Japanese resto in town.
My family since 2011 have had Sunday lunches here. Food is good and service is relatively fast (depends on the time of day, but no unreasonable delays ever).
Since then, there has been a slight increase in prices, but nothing like inflation to jack 'em up, eh? But at least the quality of food has stayed the same.
Family favorites include the salmon sashimi and seafood teppanyaki especially. Love the caramelized glazed sauce on the side veggies.
Every time we dine here at Kimono SM North its always full. The store is clean and its quite big compared to their branches. Never miss to order one of my favorite-Kani salad. Beef teriyaki is great and i like its sauce goes with Chahan rice, My twin sons like the Ebi tempura. and sushi Moriawase We love the fresh fruit watermelon its so refreshing.
IMHO this is Kimono Ken's best branch. The staff are very nice and attentive to your every need may it be a cold water refill or some extra spicy dressing for your salad (at no extra cost). I love their Negi Ramen (just the right spicy kick) and their Maguro Roll. I also like ordering their Crunchy Chicken Teriyaki and all their salad selections.
I always wanted to try different Japanese restos because for me they all taste alike. Kimono Ken's chicken was tasty and better compared to others, I appreciated the unique sauce and sesame seeds. The pork however was a little dry. Their crew was okay, a little bit slow due to its long lines and busy kitchen. Overall, I enjoyed the food and place.
This place is my partner's favorite japanese restaurant in manila (so far). Not so pricey but definitely awesome food. Make sure to try their california fry maki (fried california maki).
I had been a regular customer. I do not know why I keep coming back for more. Just a dish will make you full. Worth the price. All the Japanese foods you are searching is here.
Kimono Ken's SM North Edsa branch is a bit on the small side, and even with the tables outside, it probably gets full fast during meal times. Inside, the restaurant is clean and neatly decorated, and the servers are polite and accommodating.
We decided to have the Tonkatsu, Sakana Fry (breaded and fried cream dory), Chicken Cheese Roll, Maguro (tuna sushi), and Omu Rice (an omelet rice with chicken and mushroom). While they all have the right consistency and texture, the Sakana Fry and the Chicken Cheese Roll are underseasoned, while the Tonkatsu tasted a little bit better.
The Maguro was freshly made and the Omu Rice was well-seasoned and filled with enough bits of chicken and mushroom so you can eat it by itself. I'll probably stick with sushi and sashimi next time I eat here.
Being an avid lover of sushi, I'd say this place has REALLY good sushi. The food presentation's also very appealing to the eye before you knock yourself out from all the food. I'd say the place is pretty dark, but I guess that adds a bit of harmony to the restaurant's ambiance.
Celebrated mother's day here, since my mom really loves japanese food. ???? You should really try their kani salad cos its really good; and also have a taste of their ramen. ????
Nice food and good service from the staff. A little pricey.
I love their california maki and yaki soba...... As always for the nth time kimono ken never failes to satisfy our hunger, but earlier i wasnnot satisfied with the service super bagal pero wla nman mashadong tao
