This is a Japanese grocery store with a small dining area. They offer fried tempura dishes, shrimp, vegetables, fried rice, ramen. The entrees are simple, better than fastfood, i just wish they hVe more sushi and food varieties. They have ample parking too. @konbini store

Food 4; service; 4; price 5; ambience 4. Firstlly, in today’s skyrocketing prices, this place is a blessing. For a group of five, I only paid P1700 for 12 tempuras, two ramens, one fried rice, two plain rice, and six gyozas. The food is good and if you want, you can have a high grade wagyu steak cooked for you. It’s a great concept to eat fresh food in a Japanese convenience storee- little overhead and very straightforward. And there seems to be no opportunity to tip since you pay for your orders at the counter.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
🍉Tonkatsue Ra:men
The perfect hole in the wall experience! The tonkatsu ramen is as good as it gets. Though they use instant noodles, the broth and tonkatsu are legit japanese ramen comparable to or even better than the ramen restaurants in town!

REALFEELS: The tables and minimalist dining interiors at the back of the store are clean and spacious. It doesnt feel like eating in a convenient store. There is a "self service" note on the wall but the staff insist on servong the customers when they can.

PURSEPOWER: The most affordable legit ramen in town for less than PhP300. The prices of the fried selection such as the tempura and gyoza are comparable to restaurants' though.

BROWNIEPOINTS: Pair it with a selection of japanese bottled drinks from their convenient store and you set for a good, affordable, comforting meal.

Cute little japanese grocery with the best frozen japanese burger. They also have a dining area serving one of my favorite tonkosu ramen, california maki, tempura and gyoza. Although they dont serve sashimi etc. They serve hot or cold tea and their shop has a japan vibe to it. Friendly staff. Must try!!

Even before most of the ramen shops in the area, Konbini already served great ramen and other japanese food. You can find the cafe inside a japanese grocery store in san juan. What i liked about the food were the authentic flavours and ingredients flown all the way from japan. The ramen i got had subtle flavours but a complex broth, and al dente noodles. The tongkatsu was dry and wasnt worth ordering. My faux crab corquette was perfectly fried. Best california roll ive had in manila so far - simple, balanced, and fresh. Over all, good food at a good place.

store have a small area for dinner serving authentic ramen, gyoza, ebi tempura & califirnia maki. ramen best eaten hot. servings of ramen are filling enough. sometimes if you got center food like gyoza , momo , ebi tempura, california maki for sharing then might be good idea to share ramen bowl for 2 person. momo is grilled terriyaki chicken skeweres must try. 50 pesos for cold jug of barley tea seems funny other place complimentary. servers need more training of japanese courtesy accustomed in authentic restaurant.

Konbini Store is my go-to place whenever i'm craving for a decent and no-frills ramen. I usually order their Tonkotsu Ramen and its really good. They use authentic ingredients straight from Japan because its actually a Japanese goods store. The restaurant is inside the grocery store. What else to order here? They have gyoza, frozen and cooked, shrimp tempura and even sushi! Ever wonder where you can get Japanese Kitkats, Japanese melons and strawberries? Get them here. I got Saikoro Beef cubes just recently too! Its really a hidden gem in Greenhills!

Ate here and bought their Angus striploin. They have a cooking charge of 200.00 Next time we'll just request medium. Though it's medium well it still tasted good. They don't have a steak sauce, they season meats with just salt and pepper.

------------------------------------
You will not know that they serve food here unless you enter.  It is a tokyo market as how they call it.  They offer items from Japan including meats, pastries, fruits.  Prices of these items are expensive since it is flown from Japan regularly.  Anyway, they sell legit items so it's understandable.

These are the food we always order and they're all SOOO DELICIOUS!!!

Chan
Califorina Roll and super cali roll
Gyoza - super ok!
Shoyu Ramen - very filling
Karaage - large pieces, moist, tasty, fried perfectly.
Tempura - goood!
Chicken thigh bbq - it's in a skewer tastes good.

Visit when you're in the area!

Hidden in the busy streets of San Juan lies a Japanese Grocery that serves authentic Japanese food.

Went to Konbini to eat Ramen.  Yes,  they serve Ramen!  I got myself a bowl of pipping hot Tonkotsu Ramen.  Some refer to it as the holy grail noodle soup broths. It’s thick, creamy and nearly white in color, consistency is similar to milk.  The broth is made from pork bones and fat boiled for extended hours until the right amount of consistency is achieved.

I absolutely loved the Ramen,  gives confort on a gloomy day.  The broth is flavourful,  perfect consistency and oozing with pork goodness.  Noodles has the right texture,  fresh veggies and fall-off-the-bone pork goodness from the meat.  If you have tried the other Ramen joints,  it is highly recommended not to compare.  For me each bowl has it's own character and has unique flavors that will either knock you off your feet with euphoria or disappointment.  Konbini didnt deliver euphoria but left me satisfied and smiling after my meal.

A unique convenience store that can only be found In Greenhills, San Juan City. The convenience store that also serve authentic Japanese cuisines inside the convenience store. A must visit place for all people who are into Japanese cuisines and groceries. They also sell authentic Japanese groceries inside the store. They offer decent parking space and has a sufficient seating capacity in their dining area. Food was great we tried their Chahan (Japanese Fried Rice), Gyoza, Shoyu Ramen and Chicken Karaage. Everything was good, unfortunately when we asked for a dip for the Chicken Karaage they charged us Php30.00 for a small plate of mayonnaise. Hoping they could open more stores in the Metro.

Everything was delicious! The ramen was tasty. The tempura was hot and with a crunch. The gyoza was a little bit bland but the sauce compensated for the taste! The fried rice was good with lots of toppings mixed. Will definitely go back for their food!

There's a lot of Ramen restaurants sprung around the Metro but Konbini store remains my top choice when it comes to Tonkotsu ramen. The noodles cooked just right not too tough, not too soft. The broth is rich and creamy. Their Chahan is a must try too. I love the old Japanese feel of their dining area and my kids love to go shopping in their grocery store.

We went into the Konbini Store not to do some grocery shopping but to have dinner.

On the Table
🔹Tonkotsu Ramen - my fave from their ramen selection. It uses pork broth and is very flavorful. I can finish this all by myself.
🔹Shoyu Ramen - corny when compared to the Tonkotsu Ramen
🔹Miso Ramen - not a fan of the after taste but dad liked this
🔹Tonkatsu - the usual breaded crispy pork cutlets
🔹Beef Yakiniku Pita Pan - aka Japanese Shawarma. The sister wanted a light snack. Boy was she surprised to be served this. It was yummy and super filling. There were veggies underneath and the sauce was good.

We love the ramen here and i want to try their other offerings too. I'm sure we'll be back soon.

very good food. tempura is gigantic (now not as much but still big prawns). the beef pita is very good don't miss it, it's not particularly japanese nor does it match the noodles or other food but it's really good and maybe try it for mirienda or something.

12/13/15: we ate here again after a while. Service is not good despite only two groups of customers. The servers seemed to just be hanging around and unalert. Chopsticks were not given to us (i had to get them myself from the drawer). When i wanted to followup my food, they are nowhere around. Our food took 20min to prepare except for the yakitori chicken which took 40min! I had to stop eating at one point to wait for the yakitori.

Food is still good though. Tempura shrimp is not as good as before but the gyoza, chicken karaage and the yakitori chicken are still excellent. Prices are still affordable for good quality food at around php300+ per head.

I have to lower my grade to 4 (from 5).

Kombini store is always a great place to eat and hang out when you want to feel like your in a little "japan". I love the concept of the grocery and you tend to pile on with goodies before you even get your meal. I love their ramen, it has always been good, they had it even before ramen became a trend in manila. Their japanese sandwiches are also rich and delicious!

Before the famous ramen shops start spreading in every corner of the metro, Kombini had been my goto place for my ramen fix. I always order the gyoza and tonkotsu ramen combo. For those who like it spicy, you can also add shimitchi (famous 7 flavor chilli pepper). Its also where i get my fav kewpie salad dressings.

The first time I entered Konbini I was intimidated. Everything they sell is in Japanese! By its name, it is obviously a convenience store. However, they have a little space at the back where you can eat Japanese food. The menu is scarce but you can be sure to love everything they offer. My favorite here is the barbecue chicken and tempura. They have perfected the making of these two! The chicken barbecue is sweet and salty. I can taste the soy sauce and brown sugar in the sauce, among other things. They make these barbecues guilt-free, too. With lean chicken meat rolled nicely on the sticks in a generous serving. The tempura always comes out perfectly crunchy and hot inside. They have never failed me each time I eat here. If you are looking for a quick Japanese bite, this is the place!

With the Ramen fever going about the city, its hard to really say who offers the best ramen. For my Ramen fix, my husband and I visit this quaint japanese store in Connecticut Greenhills. The meat cut is cooked to the right tenderness that makes chewinf fun! The taste is just heavenly - not overpowering that makes you eat more. This is a feat for me since i dont really like soup but everytime we eat at this place my bowl ends up so clean! Aside from the Ramen, try their Chicken Pita with the perfectly flaked chicken in special sauce. The bread is crispy on the outside yet soft inside (ok im gettint hungry just describing the food). The price is just right - you can share if budget is a bit tight since the servings are big. So give this place a try and you can do your japanese grocery here as well.

Konbini a Japanese term for "little store" Konbini store along Connecticut Ave is a tiny Japanese grocery store in Greenhills. All the items are imported from Japan. They have the famous House curry sauce with different levels of heat, Japanese pasta sauces, Japanese instant noodles all in different flavors - curry, creamy, spicy and the classic Nissin brand. Japanese snacks and coffees such as UCC and Key Coffee as well as different brands of sake and juices. The grocery store also carries frozen items such as gyoza, siumai, Japanese gindara and wagyu beef. Price wise, it is a bit expensive. Aside from the grocery store, Konbini store also has a small section where you can order authentic flavored ramen and other japanese dishes and dine on site. Some recommended dishes are the Tonkotsu Ramen, recommended to order the combo with gyoza. Their tempura is a must try as well as their yakitori momo- or chicken balls!

surprisingly spacious inside. my friend tried their tonkotsu ramen while i had shoyu. we got our set meals with gyoza which we can't decide if it lacked ginger (for me) or it was full of it (according to him). serving and service are ok. i thought parking would be a problem since it looks like a convenience store but they had a number of slots for customers.

Initially it looks like a typical Japanese grocery store but there is also a dining area behind. A must try is their gyoza, chicken and their ramen. All are reasonably priced and most food items are good for sharing. Will definitely go back here.

When I first entered the store, I got confused if it's a grocery store or a restaurant. Apparently, it's both. There were only a few tables so it's really hard to notice the restaurant part. Their menu is very limited but has the Japanese resto basics - chicken karaage, gyoza, tempura, ramen, sushi, etc.

While waiting for our orders, I toured myself in the grocery store. I was amazed with the selections they have. Well, of course, the chocolates, noodles and Hello Kitty stuff caught my eye.

Ordered their set meal which includes any Ramen + Gyoza. For my order, I got the Shoyu Ramen. Was surprised with how big their serving was. I was only halfway down the dish when I felt full. The noodles were already tasteful even without the soup. The pork was so soft I wish I wasn't using chopsticks so I can eat it properly. The gyoza was okay, nothing special.

Konbini is a Japanese restaurant and convenience store in one. Not only can you dine on some pretty awesome Japanese food, you can also shop for your favorite Japanese items that you may not find in your regular grocery store. Their system of ordering is pretty unique since you have to pick from food cards at the counter, take your chosen ones to the cashier and pay, then get a number as you find your seat in their dining area where they serve your order. I recommend their Ebi Tempura that's cooked perfectly - large prawns enveloped in a crispy fried, light batter that's not at all greasy or limp (a sign of well-executed Tempura). Have it with their Chahan or Fried Rice with pork and veggies or go a totally different route and get their Shoyu Ramen and Gyozas. Konbini's menu may be limited but it does not disappoint. On your way home grab some Edamame from their freezer section for a healthy snack at home or some Meiji Chocolates for dessert.
