Key points why I love SSC:
- cozy place. Ambience is nice and quiet, customers usually orders takeout in their Pres. Ave, BF branch. Big, dining space too. They have outdoor dining if you prefer to eat outside.
- so far, all foods i've ordered are yummy. Chicken chelo, shawarma rice and chicken shawarma are my faves.
- operating hours ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ you can go get your midnight shawarma cravings cause they are usually open until 4am.
This is my go to place whenever I have shawarma cravings. Their shawarma sauce is so delicious. Their Korma is also a sure winner for me. I partner these with their banana shake which is the best match for the tangy taste of their shawarma and the spicy feel of Korma.
Great shawarma. My go-to meal here is pairing arabic bread with motabal or hommous. Very filling. Spacious interiors; their outlet has an allocation of about three parking spots. Staff is accommodating but they can improve on assisting diners who are unfamiliar with the cuisine.
We dine here almost every month!
This is my GO TO place for shawarma cravings.. the fact that they are open till 3 AM, great for a shawarma quick fix, its just that if you'll be coming in late night there chicken is shawarma is a bit dry already, hummus and pita was good , garlic sauce and hot sauce were awesome, beef shawarma was ok too.. and their price 159PHP for 2 beef and 1 chicken shawarma..(not bad) taste were of course great , unlike their shawarma stands that it has adjusted to a filipino taste :) , and mabgo shake was divine .. walang gatas pure mango lang which i definitely recommend over all , masarap balik balikan hahah

I've been going to this shawarma joint for over 5 years now and I can say that this branch has always been consistent with the quality of their shawarma. There's something about the shawarma in this place that when all the ingredients mix in that pita bread when you take your first bite.. it's an explosion of flavor in your mouth. It's something I still look forward to even up to now.
1. Pita Bread
The first thing about the shawarma is how firm and substantial the pita bread is. Unlike a typical shawarma stand franchise, the bread isn't flaky and thin. It's firm enough to survive the whole eating ordeal without breaking apart of turning soggy from the sauce.
2. Filling
I always go for an order of the beef and chicken. It's worth trying both. The beef is well seasoned and quite greasy (in a good way) so be prepared to have beef drippings all over your plate! I don't need to put in a lot of sauce because it's juicy as it is!
If you order the chicken, it's a lot drier than the beef but it's just as flavorful. There's a strong taste of curry and if you couple it with the chili sauce, it makes a great combination.
This place has been my benchmark for good shawarma anywhere in the Philippines!
Best shawarma in the Metro for me. As simple as a dish shawarma is the one that the snack center serves is complex in itself. It combines prime choice of beef grilled to smoky perfection added with their special dressing and the freshest vegetables and wrapped around powdery but exceptional pita bread. Unlike other shawarma the shawarma here is the type that would let you tast the ingredients seperately even though its fused togethere by the pita bread.
I never expected that this place would have a good shawarma ,for only Php75 you already have nice meaty sandwich. Tastewise their shawarma is unlike the run of the mill shawarma we usually see in the malls.
The place have a nice vibe with black and red motif ,WiFi signal very good and they also offer shisha for that authentic middle eastern feel.

Literally I just love their shawarma. One of the most Legit Shawarma i've tasted here in metro manila.
We ordered their shawarma promo which is 2pcs beef and 1pc chicken for 125 pesos. SSC's Shawarma are not the minced type shawarmas. They are chopped, Wthe pita wrap is also different from the others. they put small amout of vegetables in the shawarma so it makes the beef more flavorful. This restaurant is worth a visit.
First time eating here with my brother after a long day at work. We were supposed to order only for him, but with the tasty smell of Shawarma, I couldn't resist but try it myself.
I don't eat veggies so I had the regular all-meat Shawarma (P55) plus an extra cheese (P10). My brother ordered the promo meal, 3 Shawarma (Pork-Beef-Chicken) for only P125.
I didn't expect it'll be that good. I finished mine in no time, thinking P55 was well worth it.
I'll definitely be coming back.

A favorite for late-night grub after a drinking session. Consistent quality with their beef and chicken shawarma. Serving sizes were great, especially with the 3 shawarma promo that they usually do. Hummus however wasn't that great, it was kind of solid(!) and didn't have enough oil. Still, the shawarma is the main attraction here.
SSC is one of my favorite places in BF. They have the BEST shawarma in town! I've had legit shawarma from the middle east and so far, only SSC's shawarma can come close. Both their beef and chicken shawarma are good! It's also super affordable so we love going here for a quick bite (or sometimes even for dinner!). Ultimate comfort food. I'll never get tired of this place. ❤️
(They recently moved to a much nicer and air-conditioned place so that's an added plus!)
EDIT: we went here at around 3AM for a quick shawarma fix after a party. I recommended it to my friend, but we were all so disappointed when they served us COLD shawarma. It literally came from the fridge and they warmed it up for like a second. It ended up tasting very bitter. We were all too tired and tipsy to complain. I'm lowering my rating from 5.0 to 4.5 because of this one incident and I hope it never happens again. ☹️
Shawarma overload! This is where I usually head with my friends whenever we crave for shawarma, theirs is just simply the best.
The serving is generous and just enough for the price. The beef is so juicy and tender. I usually end up ordering 2 (all meat) shawarmas.
If you love these kinds of food (shawarma, kebab, etc) this is the best place to be.
We give the food a 4.0 for taste and 4.5 for value. Beef shawarma is a little dry, but tasty. Hummus is good! Motabal would improve with a little more Tahini but the grilled Eggplant taste is nice as well.
Worth a pitstop if you're in the area already, that's for sure. Worth a road trip, may not unless you're not near any decent shawarma places in your area. Would I recommend the Avengers to try their shawarma? Yes, as long as they make sure to back us up if and when China becomes more aggressive in the West Philippine Sea. ☺
Went here this afternoon for our Shawarma fix..and as their slogan goes "you cant eat just one!" and they were right..their shawarma was really good!! If i wasnt on a diet, i can really eat two of those shawarma! I tried the mixed special shawarma and my hubby got the beef special..the mixed shawarma was ok, but their hot sauce and sour cream elevated its taste to the next level..the beef shawarma on the other hand was good even without the sauce, it has crispy bits that separated it from other shawarma places weve tried. We'll definitely come back for more! Looking forward to try their other dishes :)

Food: I just love their all meat shawarma. I always wanted to try their kebab, but I still end up ordering 2 shawarmas instead. I just love the beef.
Service: The service is fast, and the staff are nice.
Place: The new place looks better and cleaner. They have more seats now and it's more cozy.
Shawarma is a classic delicacy that no one could resist. Perfect for a snack (hence the name..) or even a full meal. My friend and I went to the restaurant for dinner and we noticed that one piece of shawarma is expensive so we decided to eat somewhere else instead, but the staff told us there was a bundle of 3 small shawarmas for a small price, so that’s what my friend and I got. Despite the fact that its small, eating 3 of them makes you really full. Food is really tasty too and waiters and waitresses are quick in service.
I've lived in the middle east for a number of years and am very familiar with the cuisine of the area. Out of all the places I have been to which served arabic food- SSC definitely comes the closest to the real deal. Our fave is the family bbq platter which is a deal for 1500. It comes with all the appetizers, breads, rice and side dishes as well as the chicken and beef shish kebabs. The yogurt sauce and the chili sauce are a must to top off the bbq! I always go back for my arab food fix!
I've been a patron of SSC ever since they had their original location on President's Ave back in the 90's. Their new spot is a lot more spacious and they now have an air-conditioned area. Food is as good as before, though I miss the simplistic charm of the old place.
SSC's old location made it look like it wasn't much so I never really felt the urge to try it. When they moved to their new place, my brother-in-law started bringing us here. The interior's very clean, though a bit on the small side. Service is OK. Because they're open until 4AM, you can bet it's a place where people can hang out and sober up with some Middle Eastern fare after a night of drinking, especially since BF is crawling with bars.
I've eaten here twice and had the shawarma both times. Aside from the flavor, I like the way they roast the beef. You know how you let sisig sit for a while before mixing it so the bottom becomes nice and crunchy? It's kind of what their shawarma beef's like: tender with crunchy bits all over. And the white sauce you squeeze all over it is very creamy and savory.
Price is pretty good. Haven't tried any of their rice meals yet, so I might give them a shot next time I visit.
If you're craving for a late night snack and you're too far away to drive all the way to Mister Kebab, SSC is the perfect alternative for your shawarma cravings. Shawarma vs shawarma, SSC has more flavour than that of Mister Kebab.
Since I'm from Dubai, I'm always in search for the perfect dish that reminds me of the food there. I can guarantee you that SSC will satisfy your craving for Arabic dishes. The new place in BF will surely wow you!

One of the coziest car garages I've been to... SSC is an absolute convertible. One walks in and instantly gets that shabby but very homy feel with its 6 Monoblock tables & chairs, some persian inspired cupboards & a kitchen sink!
Venue is quite spacious, only opposed by the volume of customers evidently hyped by the middle eastern ambience despite the absence of airconditioning
I took on the Shawarma Beef rice & was literally caught in awe! This has got to be one of the best versions of this persian original. The Biryani rice was firm & buttery, exactly how I'd like it to be. The roster of accessories & veggies were very good synergy & compliment to the tender cutlets of beef. The cucumber, tomatoes & onions were a formidable supporting cast that brought fusioned flavor ultimately augmenting the spice & char of the meat. The mixed Shawarma & chicken make were both as indulging. The pita they use are unbelievably soft & supple giving out that mouthful experience with every bite. These I can say are authentic & may have even been supplied from overseas. Common denominator that enhances & intensifies its flavor? It's gotta be the Garlic mayo! On rice, pita, onions & anything else that can be laid on just becomes a lot better & flavorful
The kebabs, hummus, arabic salad & ox brain are sure flame throwers! Am certain that the level of authenticity is consistent on all dishes they serve
There's even an area to sit back, relax with a round of shisha! 2 long couches & some arm chairs serve invites to this relaxing kick back
Truly awed by the presence of people from different races & nationalities in unison, enjoying the no frills all basic take on middle eastern eatery
The prices are quite reasonable as their portions are robust! Serving time can be a wait. Surely come back & try out the rest of the food roster they carry. In essence, this is agood place to enjoy persian food culture.
Best shawarma in town! The place might be deceiving but once you taste their shawarma, it will become the standard of what shawarma should be. Perfect bread, fresh ingredients and awesome sauce!
I remember eating here since I was 10! On our way home my dad would ask us where we would want to eat. The choices would be either McDonald's or SSC! And, we would all choose SSC! This place brings back so much memories, and up to now I still crave their food! My favorite here is the Chicken Shawarma Rice, but it's only available 3pm onwards. So, if it's not 3pm yet and I'm being impatient I'd order a Kebab or a Shawarma! If your feeling adventurous they also have ox brain in their menu!
After your meal, don't forget to order their refreshing Banana Shake!
SSC is not about how it looks, which is more than a bit shabby, but it's about their food. And they have *bleeping* good food.
This is one of my few midnight munchies favourites. In my opinion it's the best shawarma I've had in Manila. Unlike those bastardized versions you normally get from other shawarma places where they put cheese, the meat is the star in that dish which is very flavourful. The 3 for Php 120.00 shawarma and a Php 45.00 Banana shake is my foolproof hangover cure.
They're open until 4 am so it's the perfect after drinking place to go. I'm only deducting a half point because they don't serve alcohol.
All-time favorite place to get shawarma. I love their chicken shwarma plate! Healthy and always good to take out. The place is small and a bit hot because of the weather we have so I suggest to take out your food and enjoy it at home! I love their white and spicy sauce. You should also try the ox brain if your a bit adventurous!
