My family and I really enjoy dining here. In fact, we have been here many times but it was always during lunch. Last Sunday, we decided to visit the branch for an afternoon coffee and snack.
We ordered some cafe latte, iced cappuccino, Angus Beef Sandwich, blueberry cheesecake and as always, their classic churros con chocolate. The coffee, sandwich and churros were good but the blueberry cheesecake was really delicious! It was a bit pricey though so I would only comeback for it when I'm really craving for it.
In terms of service, the staff is fast and friendly. The place is also clean but their facade really needs some refurbishing.
Affordable place to get a meal especially breakfast with their breakfast meals from php200-300 inclusive of coffee. Great spacious place for a meeting as well. Churros are more original than the popular one in the market. Place is older but clean and mantained. Service is very good.

For sweet lovers, this place is an absolute delight. It's a quaint place, aesthetically decorated with a Spanish touch to it. I loved the Spanish delicacies - tried out the dessert platter, churros and a bunch of other sweets off the menu. Their hot chocolate is to die for - one of the best I have ever had. For savory, I tried the Spanish Spicy Mushroom and it was amazing. I would recommend their cakes too for birthdays or any other occasion. Amazing bakery goods. I would surely go back to try the other items on the menu
Disclaimer: This is just for the 3 products that I patronize :)
1. The best Brazo de Mercedes I’ve ever tasted (and I’ve tasted a lot of different brazo and theirs is the BEST)
2. The shop initiated me to appreciate Churros with chocolate and I was hooked!
3. The shop sells the most addicting blood sausage ever. I didn’t know there is a blood sausage, much more sold in a shop like Dulcinea, but they do. I just discovered it while waiting for the staff to prepare my take out and I was looking over the displays they have.
Dulcinea is a classic restaurant that has been around for many years. They still have my favorite churros in the metro. The day before leaving for our trip, my husband and I had no time to cook.
We drove to the nearby Morato and we based our dinner choice on the availability of parking. Dulcinea was the winner that night. We started with their crispy calamari-- very crunchy. I had their salpicao, which was super flavorful with loads of garlic. Delish! My hubby had their cheeseburger, which was okay but a little small in size. We ended our night with their churros con chocolate-- yummy.
Their staff were efficient and knew the menu inside out. However, the place is in dire need of a renovation already. Plus, introducing a few new dishes might draw in a younger crowd.

One of the all time "Tapas" at its best...
Gambas and Garlic Champigniones are awesome.
Food 9/10
Service 9/10
Ambiance 9/10
Value for Money 9/10
I've never visited this resto my whole life despite it's near where I live. I just want to give comments on their cake. Their white chocolate cake was scrumptious! My family and I loved it. A cake you won't regret.
Late post.
When you dine at Dulcinea during the month of love, they serve their famous churros in heart-shaped forms. How cute is that?!
There have been several churros places popping up all over the metro, but to me, Dulcinea is still my no. 1 choice for churros.
Theirs is the perfect recipe, and their tenure (established in the 60s) in the restaurant business is a testament to that.
They've been serving churros long before it started trending in Manila's food scene!
Crispy, golden deep fried dough, paired with a rich chocolate dip, that I end up drinking if there's no churros left.
A close contender for must-have desserts at Dulcinea is their chocolate eclairs. Some would argue that their cream puffs are better, but I think it's just a matter of one's flavor profile. The dough and custard are actually the same. What sets the two apart are its shape (the eclair is oval while the cream puff is round) and its topping (chocolate for the eclair and caramel for the cream puff).
Dulcinea is a classic at this point, though it may be in danger getting a bit stale at times. Their main attractions are still good, like their salpicao and their baked spaghetti. Their churros are still good, though their chocolate is not as thick as it was before, and isn't as rich. There's just a feeling that time has passed dulcinea by. However, you can still get a good meal here, though the value for money may not be as solid anymore.
Quiet ambiance and relatively older crowd so it's most ideal for breakfast meetings. The breakfast menu offers both Spanish and Filipino fares. I tried the Spanish Sausage and Eggs breakfast tray. The portion of the sausage looks small in size. But the flavor is definitely there. Don't forget to order their popular Churros. Despite the emergence of many Churros shops in Manila lately, I still find their Churros and chocolate dip one of the best.
Dinner date time! We tried out Dulcinea because I was really curious about the raves regarding their chocolate churros. We ordered my favorite spag bolognese, baked cheese spag, clubhouse sandwich and of course their churros. Servings were huge which surprised me! The pasta was excellent and cooked well and the sauce was heaven! The clubhouse was also good for 2-3 people which is great cost for the price! Now comes the churros- delicious comfort food!
They also did not charge for service tax. Ambience was perfect for a date night despite the ongoing construction of the restaurant! Will definitely come back here!
Dessert is always a great way to end a meal. So after eating at a nearby japanese restaurant, we decided to come by here for their famous churros which I've always had since grade 3. Anyway, churros was great, but oily. Chocolate dipping was really good, it hurts. Sansrival was too sweet though, I can only eat half of it. But after a long convo with a friend, forced myself to finish it. I also want to try their mango cake, which my professor says is one of the best, but sadly, it was sold out. Entree's are TOO expensive btw, so we didn't even bothered ordering them. A nice conversation over dessert is always a nice treat
Always always on top of my list is their salpicao rice! Never failed to satisfy my craving and hunger. Also tried their albondigas---fried meatballs with gravy for starters. My hubby ordered chicken in saffron and almond sauce with asparagus-tasted a little bland though. Must try is their tropical shake in pitcher as well!
After having dinner in another restaurant in the area, we came to this Dulcinea outlet to let the kids have some dessert - the churros. Ahhh...churros! Since it is the best, we adults gave in to the temptation ...and had churros ourselves. The dieting is postponed to some other day.
The place is big and the have function rooms upstairs. Probably nice to hold meetings or small occassions here.
Am giving a 3.5 for now for I haven't tried their meals yet.
Went to visit this branch recently after never having eaten their food for many years. Happy to say that I am still not disappointed and they still have maintained the quality and added more new items.
A really old Spanish food chain in Metro Manila, Dulcinea has been around for over 50 years. I come here for only one thing and, personally, I think Dulcinea would have closed down a long time ago without it: Churros con Chocolate (PHP 118). The golden, crispy churros dipped in rich, creamy chocolate are to DIE for! The classic recipe might be simple, but there’s something about its honesty that makes it truly delicious. We had it for appetizer, and had it again for dessert. LOL.
Baked Spaghetti
Roast Pork Loin
Churros
(Not in photo: Grilled Tenderloin)
Ambience in this particular branch was sad, to be honest. Dim lights, no music playing in the background. You can really feel the long waiting time because of this.
Loved the baked spaghetti not only because it was delicious but also the serving was good for two people considering its price, and, of course, the churros although it was a bit too oily but I can let it pass 😊
The grilled tenderloin was okay, although we were not asked how we wanted it cooked. It was served well-done but its juiciness was still there and wasn't dry and tough, so thumbs up for that. Wasn't able to taste the Roast Pork Loin, though.

Ambiance: loved the glass windows upstairs as it gave an old retro feeling of the Spanish-Filipino times.
Servers: the servers were fine and accommodating.
Food: we had the churros con chocolate and the sans rival. The sans rival was good . However there were moments I thought that the taste of the feeling inside was too buttery. Loved the crunch of it though as it gave different textures. There was creamy, crunch, and hard (from the nuts). The churros con chocolate was definitely the star though because the churros were made crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was my first churros in the Philippines and it did not disappoint. You definitely have to dip it in the chocolate or else the churros would be plain. I would definitely come back for the churros!
Price: price of the dessert was definitely worth it and affordable. However, based on the menu, their meals were expensive. Don't know if I will ever try their food though.
I only visit Dulcinea for the churros. Heavenly, golden crisp, good to the last bite. Plus the chocolate dip makes it all better. Perfect for any kind of day.

I first visited this Dulcinea branch 15 years ago when I would buy cream puffs to satisfy my sweet tooth. I'm glad to see that it's still around. Recently, I dined there with my officemates for lunch. I ordered Chicken Ala King: the chicken pieces were tender and flavorful while the pastry was flaky. I had some churros as well which was a great finish for the meal.
My reviews are based on my own experiences therefore; they are facts
I'm gonna make this short and sweet
Its been years when I last visited this branch when some of our relatives visited the country. The ambiance is still warm and cozy. Plus the old trio that plays guitars and sing for you.
We went for desserts after having tons of steaks from another place. So good! Respect!
What I like about this place is their small breakfast buffet. Their selections are small but very nice. I particularly like the eggs, sausages and most especially the churros! Yes folks! All you can eat churros with their amazing chocolate dipping sauce! Heaven!
Before La Lola and Don Churro there was Dulcinea. Growing up I remember how my Mom would make us eat churros to our heart's content! Dulcinea looks a bit run down and has lost its fancy appeal but the food still tastes really good.
It was my first time going to this branch, I can say the interior was classic! Very nice place and very clean, also nice air conditioning. We went here because of their desserts of course I always love their cream puff and éclair
Metrodeal currently offers a buy one take one voucher for Dulcinea churros. We immediately grabbed this opportunity and had our lunch here last May. I was torn between their bestseller salpicao and gambas. Good thing they offer a combination of these lovely dishes in their menu for only 455 pesos (Salpicao com Gambas). The Salpicao was so good. Probably the best salpicao that I have ever tasted so far. The spiciness of the gambas blended well with it giving it a distinct flavor! The churros did not disappoint! One serving is already good enough for 2 people but I managed to eat it in my own. It was served hot and fresh with a side of chocolate dip. The servers were very attentive and they addressed all of our needs promptly. I hope I can come back here soon for their salpicao!
It's my nth time in this restaurant and i am always pleasantly surprised with each dish I order . Tried the pesto pasta. It wasn't extra ordinary but it filled me up. Serving is not for sharing.
Best churros ive tasted so far! Thier chorizo pasta is excellent. While their lengua estofada melts in your mouth. It comes with a serving of mashed potatos that is absolutely exquisite
I go here to satisfy my Churros cravings! My favorite here, aside from Churros, is there cream puff. I always buy both of them to go. But when I dine, I go for their Paella. I also love Gambas! Nice place to eat with your family. Great service, clean place and very nice ambiance.
I usually come here for breakfast, if only for their coffee and churros con chocolate. Everything else is secondary.
To this day, I still find that this is the best place for churros. Everyone else's just isn't as good.
On occasion, I'll have a Spanish omelette with sinangag. Their sans rival is also good, if you're on the lookout for good dessert.
The ambience at this outlet is one of their best, and you get ample parking. They have sufficient seating and no lack of waitstaff.
One of the best places for a good breakfast, especially if you need to talk shop.
When we crave for dessert, we go all out. Habi and I bond over desserts and we just can't resist the sweet delights. We just had to get some of our all-time favs. some churros, eclair, creampuffs and mango cream cake. Boy oh boy! They're really good! We might be breaking out diets but we left with a very satisfied craving! It's really good! The churros is a no brainer, this is the place to get them!
This place reminded us so much of our childhood. Happy moments that we'll always remember. Thank you to the wonderful staff of Dulcinea for being friendly! We really enjoyed our stay! :)
Nothing beats Dulcinea's churros for me. No miss, all hits on their spanish menu. At least so far from what I have ordered may it be for their tapas, breakfast or dinner menu. Place is a favorite for dating, meet-ups and retirees too. I think the quiet, cool, very attentive and homey (hacienda style) ambiance adds to the appeal.
THEY HAVE THE BEST CREAM PUFFS AND CHURROS!!!! ???????? I crave always for these ????????❤️❤️
Hosted a private birthday event here. Food buffet selection is great. Service is so so for the party. Nice location for a party. Hoping their 2nd floor will be renovated since it looks a bit old already.
Dulcinea is my old time favorite place especially when I am craving for churros con chocolate. I love the ambiance and the courteous staff. Their pasta dishes are all delish and reasonably priced too. I am a
loyal patron for so many years now but there is no fed up factor in me when it comes to coming back to Dulcinea. They have yet to disappoint me in the future but I hope not. It's really nice to know that some good things never change-- just like their good old churros. Now, I am craving for it again.
