the food is great noon nag dine in kami pero on other day nag take out kami nang dumating na sa bahay ay medyo kumunat sya dont kung nahanginan lang sya hmm pero masarap pa rin

The original Lechon has been roasted in goodness. The spicy Lechon is super dry. While the Pinakbet lack a little bit of saltiness, it is good. Baked scallop is a little too oily but delicious. I would also order the ensaladang talong again because it is healthy.
Tried the spicy lechon in their Pasig Branch. It was good however the skin isnt that crispy anymore. Will come back if craving lechon to try the other dishes

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to end the night with letchon. Lol! 🐷
FOOD: Crispy yung balat. And their house vinegar complements with the letchon. Super sarap ng suka nila. Now its my go-to place whenever I'm craving for Letchon. Especially the spicy one. Super yummy!
SERVICE: Masungit yung gurl na staff. Hindi marunong ngumiti.
PLACE: It was huge and sooo cold. The location is near our place, just one tumbling away. Also, the room where they do the chopping is very clean. 👌
PRICE: Not so mahal.

Millenials and people on the adult side is on the Samgyupsal bandwagon including me. Unlimited meat with delicious sides and cooking it for yourself is really a trend and very enjoyable. While this is all happening nowadays, Rico's Lechon which is famous in Cebu sneaked pass our radars and now here in the Metro and suddenly is eating its share in the market trend. Traditional families will tend to choose Lechon houses over korean meat places. With the power of social media, even millenials are food hunting and bragging about Rico's, many are even promoting it. My Rico's planned visit is long overdue but that changed when my boss invited us for a lunch meeting here in Tiendesitas. I badly wanted to try their Spicy Lechon and luckily by boss ordered it along with Bulalo, Chop Suey, Grilled Tuna, Bam-I Pancit and 2 platters of Rice and both my taste buds and tummy were happy and satisfied.
SPICY LECHON: I expected a lot from this because is their flagship product. I turned out that it is more than what I expected, the house blend vinegar is the X-Factor here.
BULALO: The best out of the 4 dishes we ordered. It is at par with the top tier Bulalos in the Metro.
CHOP SUEY: It's ok, no stand-out factor and is very expensive for the small serving.
BAM-I: A halo-halo pancit, it's like the Super Supreme of Noodles. It's goof but does not exceed the special pancit you can order for delivery in pancit specialty stores. It's still worth the try.
Service: the service is outstanding, the crew are knowledgeable with the menu and even the history and current standing of the restaurant. They are also good in suggesting and selling their menus while we were choosing and of course not in a rude, interrupting way.
Ambiance: very Filipino, I liked the lighting. My recent Filipino themed restaurants I visited has poor lighting which is really their default.
Very spacious area. Good for small to big groups. Ambience nice. Not too crowded. I came early lunch so only few customers. Staffs very friendly & polite taking & serving your orders. I tried their famous Lechon of course. I must say, so crispy and meat so tender. It’s just too salty for me. So matakaw xa sa vinegar. Yummy din yun vinegar. You can purchase a bottle of it if u want. A little pricey for a pinoy food. Kamote Balls ok for me, but maybe they fried it to an over used cooking oil. You can taste it on the very first bite. I told it to the staff about it & she said she will inform whoever cooked it. Hopefully. So POP pa rin.
My kids and I enjoy this place. It's clean and things are in order plus the staffs are friendly. They have function rooms for your small gathering too.
This is the first time I tried Rico's Lechon and it did not disappoint! I'm one of the few Filipinos who weren't really into lechons, but Rico's spicy lechon changed my mind. :) Also enjoyed their kare-kare and sizzling tanigue.

Luckily we arrived early so there was parking near the venue. The restaurant was airy, and there were pictures of famous personalties on the wall. We ordered the plain and spicy variety. It was not a standout for me I don’t understand the hype. The meat was not as flavorful as the other cebu lechons i tried. Staff were friendly

Hubby always wanted to try this lechon place since they opened in Manila. The food here is awesome and the service is good. Price points are very reasonable and serving is good for sharing
What We Had:
Half kilo spicy lechon + one rice platter
What I Liked:
First things first. They served the rice in a small kaldero which is very cute :))
Their lechon is very tasty, we didn’t have any side dish but it had just enough flavor it wasn’t nakakaumay, and we were able to finish the meal. We also requested for the special vinegar and it tasted well with their lechon.👍🏼
Rico’s lechon is one of the best in Metro Manila. The skin was so crisp and the meat was tender. It reminds me of lechon in Cebu and Leyte. The seaweed was also served fresh. Prices are affordable.
It was at 1st Level, Food Village Building B of Tiendesitas, Ortigas East, Barangay Ugong, Pasig City. This was after the successful launched of their branches at Bonifacio Global City and Glorietta. This newest branch offers a 733 square-meter space which can hold up to 300 seating capacity. It also has seven VIP rooms which are named after a variety of districts in Cebu.
A taste of Cebu in Manila. You can now get to eat your favorite Cebu lechon in less than an hour drive.
Food- 5/5
Service- 4/5
Convenience- 5/5
I was fortunate to bring myself and my family for a FREE Lunch Buffet during the pre opening celebration of this branch last month. Thanks to my co foodies who shared this opportunity to us.
Rico's Lechon is known in Cebu which is showed in the many photos of the owner with pinoy celebrities. We were also lucky to have met and have pictures taken with the owner.
Just few months ago, I tried Rico's Lechon in BGC branch. We didn't meet our expectation when we were served with Lechon and the skin wasn't crispy at all. This time though, we enjoyed the Lechon so much! It's crispy and absolutely delicious!
Everybody was very happy with the free buffet. Busog ang lahat! May free food and Lechon, dessert and drinks pa!
They are now open and I guess I've said enough for you to try it soon!
Hubby got frustrated when we were not able to eat in their Cebu branch so when we were passing by Tiende, we decided to dine here.
It was past lunch and there weren’t a lot of people. The crew were very friendly and fast in attending to us.
We ordered 1/4 spicy and regular lechon, pancit canton, chopsuey, kare-kare and their garlic rice. The service was super fast! We waited less than 10 mins. The lechon was really good, the meat was tender and melts in your mouth. Although the skin was not that crispy anymore.
What surprised us is that, more than the lechon, the other food items we ordered were excellent! We really loved the Seafood Kare-kare and the pancit! Will definitely go back.
Sulit na, lechon pa! Get 250 g lechon good for at least 2 people. You can choose regular or spicy. Good laman, not too fatty, plus crunchy balat. Yum!
A great place for Cebu lechon! Their gising-gising was also very nice with just the right amount of heat. The seaweed trio complimented the lechon and the fried rice well. We went there on for weekend lunch and the place was packed. Service was a bit slow but in the end, I think the good food was worth the wait.
Legit lechon cebu!!! Ask for Rico’s special vinegar match sa lechon cebu hindi sarsa ni mang tomas :-) ... again lechon plus beer man you’ll never go wrong . They have Tsingtao Wheat Beer

We had lunch here last Nov. 9 when it was still a soft opening. We were seated right away since it's just me and my wife. Of course I ordered the regular lechon. My wife, on the other hand, had the fried calamares. We asked for garlic rice to go with the entrees.
First off, the lechon was not fatty and a bit chewy. The skin was super crunchy but a bit salty for my taste. My wife asked why there was no lechon sauce to go with it and I explained that the traditional cebu lechon already incorporated the flavors even before the pig was roasted. Unlike the usual lechon where the pig was simply roasted and therefore needed a sauce to enhance the taste of the meat.
The fried calamares was perfectly tender and delicious! This defintely deserves a 5 star rating.
The garlic rice was ok but how it was served that made the difference. Although the size was that of a regular cup, the container was shaped like that of traditional rice pot (see photo).
Even though the restaurant was quite big, the ambiance was friendly and welcoming. The service was very good and the staff convivial. The prices are reasonable as well.
Rico’s is always a part of our itinerary every time we go to cebu. And amazingly, they brought the same product here in Manila. I am so happy to know that Rico’s is now in the Metro. I cant forget the salty taste of the lechon. Ang sarap, period. Best paired with garlic rice for me. Wether its the spicy or not, go ahead and indulge. The price also for me is affordable esp for groups.
The service was also great! Fast and efficient. To think that we are seated inside a vip room since they have a lot of customers. Good job Rico’s. We will be back for sure.
Updating my review.
Went here recently with my family and I can gladly say that the service is now better in terms of handling customers.
They’ve become more attentive and faster but not yet on-point. It’s better than nothing.
Lechon we got was also amazingly flavorful and the skin was crispy.
I would love to come back soon!
First-timer here and definitely won't be the last time will be eating lechon cebu here.
I only ordered the following:
• 1 Garlic rice platter
• 1/2 kgs Spicy lechon
• Adobong kangkong
Food (4): The meat was kinda dry and not flavorful enough - it lacks consistency. However, once you eat the rib part, that's where the flavors and spices are. The skin doesn't disappoint too. It's very crispy! How much more when you ordered the whole thing!
The garlic rice was awesome too especially when you drizzle it with the adobo sauce.
I just hope that they would serve their in-house sauce or vinegar that's on display or for sale, though. It would have made a difference with the dry meat.
Ambience (5): Nothing much to say since it's sparkling new. It felt like eating at a fine dining restaurant especially the interiors, but the prices of the food are reasonable.
Waiting time (5): About 5-10 minutes which is very nice especially when I haven't eaten anything yet.
Facilities (4): Sadly, they don't have bidet there. So you have to keep that thing after a bout with the pigs. The restrooms are very clean, though.
The whole venue is huge. Like really huge. You can hold your reception here (I think). They have 7 VIP lounges here for you and your team to have meetings over lechon.
Staff (5): The staff were very friendly, attentive, and efficient. I'm not a difficult customer to demand for anything else. Just these basics would suffice.
I'd recommend my pals and relatives here in this side of the metro!
If I am in the mood for lechon, I don't think about going to a different place, the only problem I have is that the lechon gets sold out fast. You can reserve lechon by calling them. :)
I remembered the last time we visited here. It was my cousins birthday, she invited us for a free dinner here, well it was free because she treated us. I was expecting the taste would be the same as what we buy outside non restaurant, but literally the food was very good, tasty and crunchy. Really love to come back at Rico's Lechon in Pasig. A five star for that.
I had a chance to try Rico's buffet for the first time on their pre-opening celebration. At first, I thought this event will be too crowded (reminds me of the P8.00 burger promo before in other burger joint). Yes, it was crowded but everything was organized.
The place is spacious!! It was bright inside and aside from that, there are VIP rooms as well.
The owner(s) were very welcoming, like they go to every table just to greet customers and ask what do we still need, how's everything so far, etc. Staff were accommodating, There's an open kitchen where they chop the lechon
Okay, so I tasted their Lechon. The skin is crunchy and salty (which I like). Expect to hear some cracks at every bite on the crunchy skin. I like how the lechon isn't that fatty, it's meaty. Even without the sauce, I was able to enjoy it (expecially when it was freshly served). My only comment is that it's chewy. My other foodie friends told me that that is the type of Cebu's Lechon (salty, a bit chewy).
We also tried some of the dishes such as: Lumpiang Shanghai, Laing, Liempo, Buchi and the sweet kakanin (I forgot the name).
rico's lechon is so flavorful even without the sauce. it is very tasty and tender while the skin, which I liked the most is so crunchy and delicious. Their staff, moreover, are all nice and proactive. I would recommend this to my friends.
Thus even it's far from our location. It's necessary to have dinner here in this wonderful place, if you don't agree with that, then you're losing the half part of your life. HahaI'm not being sarcastic here im just saying the truth behind bars between food and staying at home. It will be more fun and awesome, to explore "foods" here in the Pasig.
I'd say, the stars have aligned now that Rico's Lechon is finally in Manila and not only that, they just opened a new branch closer to me as they recently opened their doors at Tiendesitas in Pasig. This new branch is HUGE. A 300 seater restaurant with several function rooms allowing you to host your private lechon parties with your friends and family.
Upon arriving, we got down to business. First up was their regular Lechon (Php. 250 / 1⁄4 kg) which we immediately ordered even before going through the entire menu. I initially wanted the Spicy flavored one but Paul reminded me that we might not be able to take the heat so we played safe for lunch that day. The lechon came really fast and together with it were our Garlic Rice (Php. 45 / 145). I tell you, never have lechon without rice. You'll regret not ordering for sure.
The lechon was very flavorful and crunchy. As in Paul and I were making a lot of noise munching on the very crunchy skin. It was so good as the skin didn't had any thick layer of fat underneath. The meat was also very tender and while they served us with their homemade Suka Lami, I honestly felt that there's really not much need to dip the meat into anything as it was so full of flavor on its own.
To go with our plate of lechon, we also got the Beef Tripe Kare Kare (Php. 380). I always love Kare Kare but one of my main gripe are the kind that's just loaded with veggies and just a handful of meat or tripe. This one is perfect who loves beef tripe as you'll get a generous amount per serving. Also, I enjoyed the sauce very much as you get that nutty texture which is so good. I highly recommend this.
To end our meal, we made sure to save space for dessert. We had their best-selling Oreo Mango Float (Php. 180) which I loved! If you're the type who loves homemade refrigerator cakes then you'll enjoy this even more! Think Mango Float with a generous amount of oreo bits. So yummy! Paul and I agreed to just share one but halfway while enjoying this, I think we both wished we got one each.
I also tried the Maja Kalabasa (Php. 95) which is also one of their newest items. I liked it as well as it wasn't very sweet and it has a nice texture brought about by the corn kernels.
It was really an enjoyable meal at Rico's Lechon and I'm so happy that they now have a branch here in the Ortigas area. Apart from their famous lechon, there's a lot more that you and your family/friends can enjoy as well.
Rico's Lechon is finally in Tiendesitas!
Rico's lechon is good when it is newly cooked so make sure to check is still hot from roasting. There is a tendency of the meat to be too salty especially if it's near the belly or cavity lining part.
They have other Pinoy dishes from Laing, monggo Guisado, Lumpiang Shanghai and so on. Pretty ordinary and very basic.
I was fortunate enough to win a buffet for the pre-opening celebration of this Rico's Lechon branch a week before its opening. Actually a week or two before the contest on Facebook, I had just tried Rico's for the first time in the Glorietta branch and it was epic and life-changing. Since I was a solo diner, I really wanted to try more than the Spicy Lechon, but never had the chance to. Thanks to the foodie Gods, I won, and was able to try a few of their best-seller dishes.
I apologize, not really memorizing the names of the dishes I ate, but there are a few things that are unforgettable.
Spicy Lechon - This is an automatic given since it was Rico himself that upped the lechon with chilis. It tasted better here than the one in Glorietta as it was juicier. Roasting onsite can have numerous pluses.
Monggo - I can easily say it was seriously the best monggo dish I ever had in my life!
Kare-Kare - Tuwalya kare-kare can mostly be a miss for me. The one at Rico's was most definitely a hit. The bagoong too was not at all having that funkiness in it.
Buchi - It registered as weird to me for a few seconds as it wasn't monggo until another diner told me it was filled with yema. Not too over sweet. A wonderful twist to the usual filling.
Food: 5.0 - I was blown away. But the spicy lechon will always take my breath away.
Price: 5.0 - I didn't pay for the buffet, but I am familiar with some of the prices at Rico's. Well worth it 👍
Service: 5.0 - Very accomodating staff. The chef himself was the one that assisted me with filling my monggo bowl.
Ambience: 5.0 - This is the biggest Rico's, seating over 200 customers. It even has its own roasting pit, which I wish I saw. Despite it being a huge resto, it still has that homey vibe.
I also met Rico himself! I was in shock and awe, and was literally shaking. He laughed as I tried to take a selfie. LOL! Nice guy! To me, he is the godfather of lechon. 👍💯
Cebu City is known to be the house of the best lechon in the Philippines and Rico's Lechon is one of them.
Rico's Lechon - Tiendesitas is the biggest Rico's Lechon Restaurant in the country. It can accommodate up to 230 customers. They also have 7 VIP rooms if you need privacy.
Here's what we had during our visit:
1. Rico's Lechon
2. Lechon Sisig Rice
3. Bam-I
4. Laing
5. Grilled Liempo
6. Tokwa at Lechon Baboy
7. Lechon Shanghai
8. Kare-Kare
I'm a huge lover of all the crunchy food. The crunchiness gives me that satisfaction like no other. When I had my first bite of Rico's Lechon, I couldn't help but to ask for more of that super crunchy, tender and delicious pork skin. This is the best, crunchiest and tastiest lechon I have ever tried in my life.
Some of my favorites are Grilled Liempo, Tokwa at Lechon Baboy, Lechon Shanghai and of course Lechon Sisig Rice. They have huge selection of Filipino dishes to choose from.
Customer service was fast despite of how busy the place was. Very friendly and lively staff.
Recommended!
This is probably the best lechon in town and the best lechon I've ever tasted. You can actually taste how strong the flavor is with every bite of the lechon and also the other food are okay as well very simple and local. The ambiance is also great, it's very spacious and you can actually feel the fiesta vibe inside. Would highly recommend their lechon here it's superb!
Had Rico’s two years ago in Cebu city and it was magical. Spicy lechon freshly cooked and chop served with pieces of crispy pork skin.
1/4 spicy lechon is 290 and 1/4 of the original lechon is 250, 240 on the Bicol express.
Was hesitant to order the rice platter for just us both but it was just the perfect match.
Asked for more white vinegar instead the wait staff gave us their original suka that they have a bottle of for just 150. ( still regretting not buying a bottle that day.)
Will come back and order more lechon and other delicacies from Rico’s. And the next visit, I will be buying that spicy vinegar.
The Philippines is an archipelago with more than 7,000 islands; though every major regions have diverse cuisines, but there are only a few specialties that are commonly accepted as the national dishes. Notable ones are adobo, sinigang and lechon. Whenever non-local is asked about what first word that comes to their mind when they think of the Philippines when it comes to food, any of these three would be one of the answers.
It's Rico's Lechon soft opening yesterday at Tiendesitas, Pasig!
I'm actually happy that they opened a branch just 5 minutes away from our office. Cause I've been wanting to try this when they opened their first branch in BGC.
In all fairness, their service was fast, like the turn around time from when we ordered our food to the arrival was quick. The skin is tasty and so is the meat inside! Monggo is divine! Chicken skin is okay but it was not what I expected. BUT! It's affordable compared to Zubuchon.
I would highly recommend this for everyone and I am looking forward to eating here again soon! Definitely, one for the books. ❤️🤤

Since opening its first branch in BGC a few months ago, Rico’s now has 3 locations. Their biggest restaurant to date opens today at the 1st level, Food Village Building B of Tiendesitas, Ortigas.
The Tiendesitas spot can sit up to 300 people and has 7 VIP rooms to allocate to guests, named after a variety of districts in Cebu.
The dining interior highlights a fresh look of tropical finish match with wooden touches. It also has a roasting pit on site as well, with a capacity to cook as much as 20 lechons.
This new branch also kicks off new offerings like the Lechon Kare Kare, Beef Tripe Kare Kare, Tokwa at Lechon Baboy, Ginataang Laing, Gising Gising, Chicken Binakol, or Lechon Lumpiang Shanghai, partnered with Sisig Fried Rice or the Chorizo Fried Rice. The dessert menu now offers Buchi with Caramel Sauce, Maja Kalabasa, and Leche Flan, too! Now the menu is more diverse than ever before.
Amongst all I had that day, the Cebu Lechon remains to be my favorite. The skin was crisp and its white meat, tasty, buzzing with flavors! I highly suggest dipping it with their spiced up, Suka Lami.
Other must-try dishes here include Adobong Kangkong, Baked Scallops, Bulalo, Lechon Paksiw, and Kamote Balls. Their new desserts are quite appealing as well, Oreo Mango Float or the Pandan Tapioca.
More branches are still set to open soon in the north. We have Ayala Malls Cloverleaf and U.P. Town Center in Quezon City.

Lechon is firmly ingrained in Filipino celebrations; serving these delectable roasted pigs in a party adds to the specialness of the occasion. While there are notable lechon restaurants in Metro Manila, the lechon of the Queen City of the South holds a certain cachet. Known for its crispy golden red skin and tender flavorful meat, Cebu’s lechon is enjoyed without the need for a lechon sauce.
