This is a rating to the beef kabab basmati rice meal. I have been to Middle East and this is the nearest to authentic middle eastern kebab i have had in PH so far. The sauce though is very watery and bland.
I’ve been hearing about Behrouz from my workmates and this is the first time we’re all trying it together. Good thing this Behrouz branch doesn’t get packed with people during weekday lunch time. So imagine the peace, quiet and super fast service.
I got my usual order in Behrouz - beef kebab with buttered rice. Taste is still the same. The rice had a very generous serving but I was able to finish (yep, hungry).
Their servings are BIG. like its good for two people. The kebab was tender and i love their garlic sauce. The place was nice as well and crews greets us pleasantly.
🐽 Food: My personal favorite is Chelo Beef Kabab Kobideh. Comes with 2 pcs of beef kabab, rice, butter, and grilled tomatoes. Add the yogurt and spicy sauce. It’s actually good for two people. It’s really delicious!
🍹 Drinks: They offer sodas, beer, and fresh fruit shakes.
🍴Ambiance: Casual yet comfy dining place.
👫 Service: Food was served on time. Servers were approachable and attentive.
💸 Price: Php300 for my order. Worth it!
I ordered the Chelo Beef Kabab Kobideh. For someone like me who has a small appetite, the serving is good for 2. The meat is tender and the has right flavor. Would recommend it to those who likes Persian food since this is actually an affordable place.
Food - 4/5
So far, their food is still the best for me when it comes to budget and satisfaction. I have tried most of their menus and I liked them. My favorite is their ox brain which is very flavorful compared to other competitors.
Service - 4/5
The crews are friendly since they allow us to park in front of their store. They also approach you even if you're just inquiring and still in your car.
Venue - 4/5
Ambiance is great after the renovation, it's now very well lit and spacious. The colors are also pleasing to the eyes and the place is very clean.
My reviews are based on my own experiences therefore; they are facts
Alright. Metrowalk is very near to my house. Been there many times but I never paid attention to this place. For me it looked like a not so well managed place.
But wait!
So I tried this for the first time after some drinks last year with former colleagues and I liked it.
In fact, the basmati rice left this unforgettable sensation in my mouth. And again, like most of my favorite foods, it haunted me. But since I am on a calorie-counting diet (which is so far successful), I have been trying so hard not to eat it often.
food - basic but comforting. So it was actually perfect after having some drinks.
the yogurt and spicy sauce are awesome! I love it. I want to try the brain next time.
hummus, not a fan. not bad but not that good.
#jalalisbest
I wanted to try the baklava but I am always skeptic. because of my freaking diet. (maybe tonight after massage)
ambience - it has different feels during the day and night. When I visited them at 11am, its actually decent. Clean, no eewwy smell.
service - quick and they can answer your questions. I just wish they have delivery option. Actually, don't. It's very dangerous for me!
price - 400 is great for 2 persons sharing a chelo. not baaaad!
With Behrouz, you won't lose.

Food is decent ambiance is nice but their serving vs price ration is quite small, a stick of chicken kebab is more than a hundred pesos but the size is just a 3 biter single stick. The only difference here and from the shawarma hole in the wall store is the basmati rice.
Yummy food. Unique. Authentic. Staff were great.very helpful and accommodating.made sure everything was taken care of.......°°°☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 😁
Behrouz Metrowalk has finally undergone a way overdue renovation, employing a more streamlined look, eschewing the couches that looked really worn for a long time and this time going with more colorful and modern design. All while retaining its simplicity in appearance.
Nothing needing further overhaul in its menu, however. It retains its Persian roots, proving yet again why it's my and my barkada's favorite resto hangout of all time.
TIPS / MUST ORDER:
+Beef Kebab - perfectly chargrilled yet moist inside (enjoy either with rice or bread, your choice) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
+LTO (liver, tomato and onion) - without fail, even those who don't like liver can eat this. Best enjoyed with rice coz of its richness. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
+Mutabal (eggplant) - complementary to your bread based creation (alternatively you can get hummus but Mutabal is what I prefer) 🌟🌟🌟🌟
+Grilled tomato and onion - either bread or rice, this is a good side for flavor (mix with their white sauce and red spicy sauce) 🌟🌟🌟🌟
+Chicken Barbecue - moist, well flavored (add kalamansi), best enjoyed with rice 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
+Long grain rice (aka Basmati) - best with two pieces of butter mixed in. Awesome. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
*Bread you can order all bread or even make a sort of burrito with the rice and protein inside 🌟🌟🌟🌟
+Banana Shake! They have other shakes but this has been our favorite for 2 decades. Don't ask, trust the banana shake. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Behrouz has always been a go to place for my dad and I ever since I was a kid. We'd travel through traffic and rain for their kebabs, always freshly made right outside the restaurant.
However, recently, the quality of the food they'd serve us went from "great!" to "okay."; shriveled up kebabs, stale pita, and dangerously oily BTOs.
This is not to say that they don't serve good food, they do! It's just oddly inconsistent.
I would definitely recommend this place, be forewarned though, food may or may not be good the day you visit!
Was about to submit a review here months ago when Zomato labeled them as temporarily close(renovation most probably). So this is a late review.
Located in one of the prime spots in Metrowalk. I'm not gonna bitch about the place now as i believe it's now renovated basing on the photos they recently uploaded for Zomato.
Food was basically good. Serving were huge. Beef Kebab had a little gamey flavor on in which,as per my bf, contributes to its taste authenticity. It was piled with a lot of Masbate rice. 10php for butter.🙄😂🙄
As for the Shawarma Rice,it's also generous, to
the extent they serve the rice on a separate place. You can really taste the beef. Savory, tender and nicely cooked but just a little bit bland for me. Garlic sauce needs improvement.Great value for money though.
Service was so-so.
Hoping for a great improvement with the place and service the next tome we drop by especially the place looks nicer in their photos now.
I dont know how long i've been eating here (maybe more than a decade) but the beef kebab and basmati rice w/ butter just always hits the spot.. Simple as that!!! Persian food at its best..
I must admit this place needs a lot of improvement in terms of redecorating and cleanliness plus food presentation but the food is cheap and taste is fine. I always order lamb kabab and ox brain. I just wish they have samak(not sure if spelling is correct).
I've been going to Behrouz for a long time from Tomas Morato, Greenhills and now most of the time in Metrowalk. It's a go to place if we craving for some kebab, kibda and ox brain. Although the place needs a renovation, we dnt really mind. The garlic yogurt sauce is so watery too. If you're not to picky about it, "Pwede na"
First time I've eaten Beef Kobideeh is here, and I can never forget all those post-inuman foodtrip and everyday cravings here. I even came to the point that I eat it almost everyday. The beef is so tender and juicy (yes you can even see the juices coming out). I love that their garlic sauce is perfect for my taste.
This is one of my go-to restos after an intense workout. I'm not much of a meat eater but I just can't resist it when I'm here. I usually order lamb, beef, or chicken then mix it with grilled tomatoes, onions, humus or matabal, and of course their chili and garlic sauce!! Everything goes perfectly well with Pita bread, for those who don't eat rice like me. Dogh (yogurt shake) is also a good idea 👌🏽Just a tip! Make sure you have mint after you devour your meal here!
Interior - not nice.
Restroom - not clean
Staff - not so enthusiastic.

It's okay, it's just okay.
The Shawarma was a bit too dry for my taste, the Hummus was almost flavorless, and the Ox Brain was just alright.
The Kebab and Yogurt drink shined though, they were excellent and really worth the visit.
So I am divided about recommending it. I would at least give it one try so you know the place and enjoy the Kebab, and so you know what the fuss is about.
My to go place whenever I crave for persian food. They have the best ox brain compare to other kebab places that I've tried. Loved their yogurt and chili sauce that goes well with almost everything in the menu. I would recommend you to try their Chelo kabab kobideh, Shawarma, Hummus w/ BTO, and Ox brain ☺️
Chelo kebab koobideh is my Favorite in Behrouz.. I go here because of their yogurt sauce and the chili sauce. Right after party nights and i get hungry behoruz is a place to go coz most their branches are 24hrs. But the thing i hate the most is their not so clean restaurants, plates are dirty and the couches and tables are not that sturdy. Good for take aways but not for dine in. Oh my photo looks like a smiling elmo btw..
Reasonably priced and really good persian food! :D
Ox brain! Hummus! Beef Kebab!
Oddly though... they're more expensive than the branch in Timog. Must be the rent in Metrowalk!
Either way, the food is good, service is good, and value for your money is great!
I used to be a huge fan of behrouz! I would always eat here because it was near my house. I always order the beef chelo kebab. I've stopped ordering here though because I noticed their beef has gotten more dry and their garlic sauce more watery.
Behrouz is the best persian restaurant. Kobideh, ox brain and humus with BTO are our favorites! Beef biryani is also a must try. This place, though, is more pricey compared to the timog branch.
My most frequented place for my Persian fix. I always come here with my siblings. This is our top of mind go-to-place during wee hours. We always order ox brain, lto and bto. The place is simple and unassuming.
Comfort food. Exactly how this place makes me feel, comfortable. Service has gotten better through the years yet maintained taste of food. 1 of my favorite inexpensive restos anytime of the day. Toasted ox brains, ciello kebab, sweet lassi yoghurt, & hummus with beef onions tomatoes is my line-up every time.
Behrouz is one of the places we frequent after a night out. We come here to continue hanging out with friends to continue conversations over a nice meal. Love the shawarma in this place and their sauce. The staff though seem need to be a bit more patient with us alcohol ridden people as clearly they seem irritated at most times that we visit but it isn't enough to ruin the mood at least.
We come here for the food. Not so much for the nice staff (they never seem to be happy). But that's probably because we come here in the wee hours of the morning to nurse a proper party night(laughs).
So far, besides the staff and lack of good coffee, this place is a staple for the family and friends.
Come for the Chelo kebab plates, chicken or beef or lamb. Make sure you ask for the buttered rice, an extra roasted tomato, and douse your plate with delicious tatziki sauce. Oh, and the spicy tatziki sauce is a champ!
Drown the food down with some good ol' Coke and voila! Heaven!
The bathrooms could use an upgrade. After all, hubby and I have been coming here since 2005 and....
Well, Kain!
Behrouz serves really good and flavorful dishes that I have been fortunate to have been introduced to by friends that love to eat as well. I especially like their Beef Beryani Rice, Shawarma and Chelo Kebabs all of which really are tasty and well worth the price paid for. Good place to have a meal with friends as well as family. Place is comfortable and the staff is friendly, attentive and accommodating.
Behrouz, to me and my friends, is a standard that hasn't been beaten in Persian yumminess. We used to go to its first branch out in West Avenue in QC almost every night, and when the one in Metrowalk was launched I was ecstatic, having already moved to Mandaluyong. Now that I'm in the Fort, I still go all the way to Pasig for my Behrouz fix.
So what's so special about this place? Whether you go to the QC or the Metrowalk branch, you'll see the low profile, very casual ambiance that has been the trademark of Behrouz. It's not as inviting visually, it almost looks cheesy, but! I sure am glad that I gave it a chance, which is hard for a packaging whre like me. Their food is not only on point it is incredibly affordable! Plus it has the perfect easy going ambiance for lounging around with your friends, my friends and I love it in the wee hours of morning after the clubs.
Let me share with you the standard order of my barkada.
Sasha, the health conscious, usually gets a strip of Beef Kebab, grilled tomato and onion, and 2 pita breads. Like a deconstructed shawarma, really. She was the one that got us hooked on the garlic sauce here. It's made of yoghurt and not mayonnaise, which she stays away from. A really healthy, protein packed meal!
Fatima and Billy, the couple of the decade, shares everything. They usually get the delicious Chelo Kebab, a mountain of jasmine rice topped with butter with beef tenderloin kebab in the center. They get an extra order of Chicken barbeque, one of our favorites, because it's so tender moist and flavorful. These dishes are perfect for sharing, because they are mostly served in more generous portions.
I on the other hand, am the type to take on the road less travelled. I usually take the BTO with hummus, a couple of pita bread, some sweet lassi. This combination is balanced in flavors and great for a light snack.
And usually all this would cost about 500 -600 pesos. For four people, you cant go wrong with those numbers.
Tip: They also sell shisha and beers which is a great way to cap your dinner. Try it too! It wont disappoint you.
Chix bbq is the best! Tender, juicy, flavourful. Yummy and affordable place to eat. Pati owners mabait. Nice to try also is their taka.
I eat at only two Persian cuisine places. Mr. Kabab and here at Behrouz. If I'm feeling like pita bread, Behrouz is where I go. Their Beef Kebab, Hummus with BTO (beef, tomato, onion) and Tomato and Onion are our regular fare. They are open even on holidays when all others are closed (Holy Week) for instance. They have good, quick service and a no-fuss ambiance. Their white sauce is not as thick as I'd like it to be but the taste is ok. Good for late night cravings. If you're adventurous try their Ox Brain which my husband orders sometimes.
