I loved the shrimp pad thai that I ordered here. Tasted authentic -- similar to what I ate in Bangkok. My friend ordered crab khao pad and we both loved that, too. One order of the crab khao pad was good for sharing for 2. I wish though that they improve their ventilation and hopefully get an aircon installed then separate the grilling area. Be prepared to smell like grilled or barbecued food after eating here.
A great bang for the buck hole in the wall in Kapitolyo! I got the chicken pad thai with the fish cake and thai milk tea; the servings were generous and the meals were so delicious. It will satisfy anyone's Thai cravings. Will definitely visit again!

My go-to spot in Kapitolyo for authentic, filling, and affordable Thai eats. While everything I've tried has been great, I'd recommend their Pad Thai and Khao Pad any day.
A plus is their affordable beer and that they have Thai beer! Super friendly staff and they serve their food quick.

It's my first time to eat at Same Same and I'm very glad I did. I must say, Same Same is a really big discovery for me. Great food, very accommodating owner and staff, and not crowded. We had the Pad Thai, Pad see ew, Satay sampler and Milk tea! I love the milk tea!!! I will definitely come back to try other things in the menu.
It was our first time here and their food surprises us. We ordered for two but its like good for three people, also the price is reasonable. What we also love is the satay sauce, its so good we might come back again soon.
This place is so simple but their food is amazing! I always go back here whenever I crave for Thai food. I love their Pad Thai (160php) and Thai Milktea (70php)! Their serving is very generous and the flavor is so good! If you want to spend less but wants a great Thai Food, then you can try Same Same! It's really bang for the buck!

Chicken Pad Thai and Fish Tofu. The food is reasonably priced but quality was not compromised. Just a gteat place to go to if you're craving for Thai food.
Fair tasting thai meals for a low price! An escape from typical street meals. First time to eat pork intestines here, and it tasted great. The service is average. Ambiance is simple but okay. Overall, great experience. Will come back again.
Hole in the wall Thai restaurant in Kapitolyo is a gem ! With its wallet friendly price for delicious meals, it's a must try! My go to orders are the Chicken Khao Pad (Fried Rice), Shrimp Pad Thai (Egg Noodles), Som Tam (Papaya Salad) and Moo Ping (Pork Skewers). And wash it all down with a Cha Yen (Thai Iced Tea).

Had a meet-up with org buddies last wednesday after an event and we went for a dinner at this small unpretentious thai food nook in kapitolyo. I ordered their famous pad thai (Chicken) and here is my take on Same Same Chicken Pad Thai.
Flavor: As soon as it was served, you can smell the fresh cilantro and I love that the serving comes with a handful of chopped nuts and chili flakes. The rice noodles had a great bite to it, hindi lata, and not swimming on its sauce. It has a nutty sauce and the lemon just gave it a kick. However, the flavor profile is mostly the salty and umami from fish sauce and sweetness from sugar and just kinda lacking on that sourness highlights from a tamarind sauce- a pad thai signature taste. This will be an 8/10
Place: Quaint and laid-back. It is a non-airconditioned nook that surely be happy for you to sit and savour the food. Serving mostly thai street cuisine, the small tables and chairs infused with smell of the food cooking comes homey and good for some intimate friendly chikahan. An 8/10
Price Range: 160 - 190 php for a heapful pad thai serving is sulit! A little cheaper than the average price from most of the thai food shack. 10/10
Overall rating: for the pad thai experience, It was sumptous and had a great dinner so it would be a 8.5/10. Babalik pa ba? Would love to. Maybe would try some of their satays and tom yum.

Pad thai is their must try dish. We also ordered the satay sampler and tom yum. Tom yum failed to meet my expectations (compared to their other dishes). No ample parking, except if you get the chance to park in front of the establishment (beside their ihawan upfront). They didnt have house water when we got there, we opted to buy bottled water
Good but cheap Thai food. The pad thai was a pleaser as well as the crab rice. This is also one of the few places that has the best satay for me. The milk tea though tastes bland and does not taste like Thai milk tea.
We love Same Same. Have been ordering take out since it opened. Our faves are the green curry fried rice, fish tofu, the chicken Pad See Ew and their sticky rice. Also their food is affordable.

i love same same. it feels like you're back in bangkok, eating in some noisy alley carinderia. i had the pad thai, chicken satay and thai milk tea. the pad thai was wonderful it just needed more bean sprouts and more egg. the chicken satay was heaven, especially with the peanut sauce. thai milk tea was creamy. my wishes are: more thai interiors (the king's photo lol), BL playlist, and a cleaner CR. oh and can you offer the famous pink milk, too? haha .
Been craving Thai food for a week now so my sister and I went here tonight and I must say that it satisfied our cravings. 🤤 We ordered Chicken Pad Thai, chicken satay, and Thai milktea. Everything was yummy that we had to order some for take-out 🤣We’ll definitely be back soon to try their Khao Pad and Mango sticky rice! ❤️
We loved it there! We ordered soy sauce noodles, shrimp fried rice, the satay sampler, and Thai green tea. My boyfriend had a beer, and I love that they served it ice cold. The food was so good and affordable. We don’t normally eat pork isaw, but even my boyfriend enjoyed it. Very tasty! Great selection of Thai dishes. We will come back again!

Had dinner here last week with my BF. Ambiance is the same as the eateries in Bangkok. I really like their food especially their Pad Thai. It is very tasty and authentic. We also ordered for their rice meal and it was also good. I like how customer rapport is established. Pricing is also reasonable. We also tried their mango sticky rice and I must say it almost taste the same as in bkk. Will go back here again. Please note though that place is not airconditioned but who cares? What we came for is for the thai food.
If you are like me and you like discovering those hole in the wall restaurants then Same Same is for you. Sadly they open at 5pm but they are open until 1am so it's perfect for all you night owls.
I truly enjoyed their Satay Sampler. For P150 you get 6 sticks of satay! Isn't that great?! I loved their Chicken satay and their Isaw. The pork satay was a bit dry for me but the flavor was all there. They marinated their meats really well. Each bite is an explosion of flavors. Plus their sauces are to die for. I personally liked their cucumber relish. It was perfect with the Isaw. Their Pad Thai was a bit bland but the serving size is big for the price you are paying. Their Pad See Ew was just full of flavor!
I will definitely come back for more of their Isaw! Plus their prices are so affordable. This is absolutely a must try!

I’m a frequent visitor of kapitolyo and I’m glad I was able to eat here. Its interiors is very simple and direct. I like how the menu is on the wall and yet they still provide you the menu card. How helpful. The staff is very much accommodating. Their food is good but it needs improvement especially their pad Thai. I do love that they offered us a tofu version since my partner doesn’t eat meat. Well, yeah it still has fish sauce but exemptions! I think it would help if they made the dish much more flavorful and not just filled with spicyness. Or they add the option of adding sugar like the one I had in Bangkok.
We also ordered fried tofu, pork isaw, fish tofu. I just wished they indicated that it was pork isaw. Now those were good but the real star of the show was the fish tofu. I had to order garlic rice just for it. The sauce was sweet and a bit too spicy for my taste but it was alright. Hmmm now, I’m craving for it again. Their milk tea is good. It’s a shame we weren’t able to order the dessert bec it was a Tuesday.
Will I come back? Most definitely. They just need to improve their pad thai but yeah, I’ll come back.

We took out a few dishes. Chicken Satay is the bomb here - juicy chicken sticks with an amazing peanut sauce..Khao Pad chicken is very tasty.
Fried Tofu, Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are ok, similar to fare in other Thai restaurants.
Iced Milk Tea is good.
That you can get all of the above for Php 705 makes this place awesome!

This is a relatively new hole in the wall foodie spot in the ever expanding Kapitolyo foodie barangay that serves fast and delish Thai dishes. I just had my haircut across the street from it when I had a sudden rumble in my stomach, so I thought I'd try this new place out.
If you're looking for really high end aesthetics when it comes to the ambience, then this is not for you. There's no door and the interior is just your typical tables and chairs. Owner is nice and we had a quick chat about the place (he lived in Thailand prior to coming home and opening Same Same so he knows his Thai cuisine stuff well). They cook the food in front of you. But that's not what you're really here for right? So on to the food.
For starters I ordered their chicken satay and thai omelette with their Thai lime iced tea. I always make it a point to try a new place's most basic dish and specialty right off the bat. The satay and rice can be spiced up upon request, which was nice. Their chicken is fresh and I was pleased with the flavor. It also comes with vinegar and their curry dip. The Thai omelette though was basically just scrambled eggs with spring onion. And the iced tea was authentic and not to sweet. For less than 200 pesos you already have a decent and good tasting quick Thai meal.
I'm coming back and will try their pad thai next.
UPDATE: By this time I have already tried their pad thai and pad see ew and I have been more than pleased. Dishes are so flavorful and servings are generous. This is truly a hidden gem in Kapitolyo, don't miss it.

We ordered pad thai which is quite a hefty serving for a 170php price and also skewer platter i think(150pesos for 6 skewers), peanut sauce is yummy partnered it with a garlic rice which is only 25php. All in all, since we ordered drinks, our bill is only 445. Will come back for sure

Pad See Ew was flavorful but the shrimp was over cooked. For the Thai Green Iced Tea, I didn’t expect the jasmine-like taste. Satay sampler was good and its nice to be able to taste all 3. Pork Pad Thai was the winner! I will definitely visit again for the Pad Thai.
The owner was very accommodating. He took our order and spent time explaining the options. Hope he can spend time to train his staff. They were very quiet and barely smiled.

Me and my boyfriend were here last night. All we can say is the food is really good!!!! Specially their Khao Pad!!! Truly divine. They now offer milk tea which I really love! The food is affordable too! We’ll definitely comeback!
We ordered their Pork Khao Pad, Shrimp Khao Pad, and Satay Sampler. Food quality was great, everything was cooked just right, generous serving, and you see how they prepare your food which is a plus point for me. Other than their food on the menu, you will also love their peanut sauce and the other dip (with cucumber and chili. dont know what its called), and their price is very affordable compared to other thai restaurants. I highly recommend this place. I hope it stays in Kapitolyo forever. I really love their food and will surely come back.
I guarantee you won't find satay as good as what Same Same is serving anywhere in the metro, especially when paired with their amazing peanut sauce. Their other food give you bang for your back. Personal favorites are the khao pad goong and the fish tofu.
Will keep coming back here until the owner kicks me out.
