The place is spacious and clean. It was packed with people as we were there during lunch time. We ordered Smoked Pork Belly and Lechon Belly. The serving size seems small but the flavors are intact, the texture is great, and for an unli rice promo, the price is totally worth it. The dishes taste very good. The staff are also friendly and quick.
The only place where you can dine on Japanese, Korean, American and Filipino dishes in one sitting. A must go to place for groups who are hungry and have different cravings. Plus they serve unlimited rice and soup as well. Staff were friendly and attentive. Don’t forget to let them
know if you’re celebrating a birthday in your group and you will be treated in a song and dance number from the crew.
Place is perfect for large groups, especially it is offering unlimited rice. best seller is that lechon sisig. The beef brisket is soft, you can cut it with only fork, and still juicy, compared to the ones I ate in other restaurant.

I was all alone and decided to head to this area with unlimited rice. My craving for sisig was satisified.
For those people who are NOT a fan of sisig with liver on it? This sisig is for you.
The sisig is crunchy and delicious but SADLY the sisig is only good for 2 cups of rice.
Their unli rice is so sulit and marami. But the ulam servings is quite so-so.
I recommend this place if you're sawa na sa Mang Inasal coz they have a LOT of options.

Definitely value for money. Lower your expectations for quality and you may be pleasantly surprised. Already a repeat customer due to the proximity of SM East to our location. They offer more variety of food over Mang Inasal so I actually prefer eating HERE if I feel particularly famished.

Since it opened summer last year we've been a regular customer esp since we live nearby.
I thought any restaurant with a very confusing menu with way too much varieties wouldn't have the same quality as to those who specialize with one cuisine. And i thought the crowd would die down eventually... it does have quality and the crowd didn't die down for a good reason. Why?

I am a cook and a very picky eater myself so trust me i dont bullshit you. But of course dont compare this to fine dining restaurants.
Compare this to you local faves like Mang Inasal. Or other budget friendly places.
Bbq: esp CHICKEN is superb. Way better than mang inasal plus! You get unlimited rice for free!
Also their chicken oil is actually tasty. Not just oil and anato seeds.
Lechon belly meal for around 100? Dude come on. And (on most days ) skin is crunchy too.
Smoked US beef quality is far from being subpar. For the price its actually very rewarding. The portion would look small but would be filling with rice.
Since we come here at least twice a week, my go to.is Beef misono. I love their sauce specifically. And it comes with side veggies so I can tell my mom I ate my greens.
Last but not the least: SERVICE. it could get crowded but staff are really friendly and sometimes funny esp the guys offering rice as if they were in the market making jokes.

This restaurant competes with Mang Inasal which also offers unlimited rice on all of their meals. This restaurant, on the other hand, offers more variety than what Mang Inasal offers. Their food here is tasty. Price is affordable. The place is great. Service is great. Overall, this restaurant is a fine place to indulge a filipino cuisine in an affordable price.
It was a great choice for the first time we went to eat there. Their side dish was good. I liked so much most of their food. Only the halo halo its not that sweet.
I love their barbecue, Chocolate Truffle Mousse, and Californian Maki! They have a long list of menu which would make ordering hard for customers because there is a lot to choose! I also love the restaurant’s ambiance. 👍🏻
We visited their restaurant last october to celebrate my mothers birthday.. we ordered lechon sisig, sizzling smoked U.S. beef , lechon belly and barbeque paa.. Their sisig was superd (must try) lechon bellh was also good.. I didn't try the bbq paa..Im just a little bit disappointed with the serving of sizzling smoked U.S beef ..it was so thin and small (pero pwede narin iconsider kc mura lang prive nila) and the taste is so plain (hindi sya na enjoy ng huaband ko..even me)
service is good. and the place itself is cozy.. I'll be going back fir their sisig.. hehe

Number 1 Barbecues is a recently-opened restaurant in SM City East Ortigas. Because of its Unli-Rice promo, it was always full of people for its first few months that my family was only able to eat there last December in time for my son’s birthday lunch. Interestingly, Number 1 Barbecues offers a range of dishes from different cuisines including Filipino, American, Japanese and Mediterranean, so there would be something for everyone. Its’ relatively cheaper pricing and free unli-rice offer makes it a great venue for group and family meals.
Very similar to Mang Inasal from food to ambience, to tables and chairs, to it's unli(mited) rice and free sinigang soup. On the other hand, it has more on the menu to choose from. Aside from the variety of lechon meals are shrimps, not the usual option at a fastfood. Prices are very reasonable too.

Number 1 Barbeques. The new player in the unlimited rice game—and in my opinion, it wins by a mile ahead of any other restaurant. Why?
Allow me to tell you why.
First, they have so many dish options to choose, from a wide array of cuisines around the world. For Filipino they have dishes such as the usual Chicken Inasal BBQ, Sisig, to even Lechon Belly. For Japanese, they have BBQ Yakitori to Tempura. On the American part of their menu they have Smoked Pork Belly to Smoked U.S. Beef, which is what I had.
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. I mean, really, what could I expect from the usual at a fast-food place that served unlimited rice? But, after taking that first bite of beef, it was far more tender than I had expected. It’s smoked for 12 hours so it’s gotta be more than fork tender, which it was. Not that much of a WOW on the flavor factor, but still very doable.
For my sides, I ordered mashed potatoes. And 1 order came with 2 scoops. I was unaware that my Smoked U.S. Beef came with a scoop, very much surprised when 2 scoops arrived at my table. But then perhaps I shouldn’t have been. Mashed Potatoes are a must serve side when it comes to American BBQ. The first bite of it, just like the beef took me by surprise, a very big surprise.
Let me tell you that it was and up to now it the best mashed potato that I have had in a long time, possibly ever! I kid you not! It was so rich, creamy and smooth. I know you’re thinking of other places that have really good mashed potatoes. Well… throw them out the window. Fresh and not instant is the key. Number 1 Barbeques has the number 1 mashed potatoes in town!
With regards to the rice, that was my 3rd surprise. I know you must be thinking, ‘What’s so special about rice?’ Well, normally in other unlimited rice establishments, I can only go as far as 2-3 cups because of the ‘nakakaumay’ factor. At Number 1 Barbeques though, I didn’t get that at all. I ate 4 cups of rice and loved every grain of it. Tasted good, well cooked, higher quality rice than others. Plus, eating it with the complimentary soup didn’t make me feel so bloated.
At the end of it all, I had myself 4 cups of rice and 3 scoops of mashed potatoes accompanied by my 2 slithers of beef. Let’s not forget the gravy and coleslaw and soup that came with as well. All of it was yummy!
Food: 5.0 – Surprisingly good and pretty close to the authentic American BBQ. The mash was to die for!
Price: 5.0 – I was very much satisfied with everything that I ate. Wonderfully stuffed, but not with that bloated feeling. Everything that I ate cost me less than P200. Sweet deal!
Service: 5.0 – Staff was very attentive and nice. Laughing when I laughed om my rice refills. LOL!
Ambience: 5.0 – The design is clean and modern with a slightly minimalist aspect. Not what you expect from a fast-food place. Plus the kitchen had windows so that customers could see all the cooking.
So if I want to go for unlimited rice, Number 1 Barbeques is my go-to spot. They have changed the game, and for me, they are the Ace. Even if you aren’t in for unlimited rice and just fast-food per say, it’s a must!
Cheap finds, super affordable, great selection, fast and food served hot. It was an overall nice experience. Servers are attentive, tables are clean. Considering its a fastfood, they serve restaurant quality dish

This is the best place to eat when your pocket is almost empty. Located at SM East Ortigas, this jewel resides next to well known resto but doesn't mind that at all. It was a Sunday lunch time when me and mifamilia decided to eat out because my mom, our regular Sunday Chef is on a vacation.
I ordered lechon belly with rice and mu daughter ordered bbq fried chicken. The taste was great but what set's it apart was the price considering the ambiance of the place is A1.
I will definitely come here not once, twice, thrice, but multiple times.
It's worth the stress that you'll get due to traffic that you have to go thru Ortigas Ave Ext.
This place gets plus points for menu variety and quick, friendly service. Serving sizes are just right, in terms of value for money.
We ordered the crispy pork belly and US Smoked Beef - both meats were crisp when they needed to be (e.g. pork skin), and tender for the main parts. Flavor wise food is okay - not memorable, but not bad either. Good for a quick meat fix when you're in the area.
The main travesty? Food is usually cold when served. Based on the other reviews, it sounds like it is a common experience for their diners. I ordered my beef on a Sizzling Plate and there was zero sizzle when it arrived at the table.
This place is good to try once or twice, also maybe a good choice for family lunch or dinner with friends, but it's not exactly a place I would be excited to return to.

Number 1 Barbecues is a fast casual restaurant specializing in grilled dishes from different parts of the world.
My favorites are the Sizzling Smoked U.S. Beef, Lechon Sisig and Lechon Belly. I love the mushroom gravy that comes with the tender 12 hour Smoked U.S. Beef and the fat that just melts in your mouth. The Lechon Sisig and Lechon Belly are addicting and very flavorful. I usually pair these sinfully rich dishes with an order of Ensaladang Talong or Chopsuey.
The Ebi Tempura, California Maki, and BBQ Kani Bacon are surefire hits for people craving for Japanese food.
If you are into Mediterranean food, the BBQ Beef Koobideh is worth the wait. The bold flavors of the ground meat plus the sauces are just awesome.
Pasta, sandwiches and fries are also available. Sago't Gulaman is refreshing and a great alternative to the usual iced tea or soda. Chocoholics can grab an order or two of the Chocolate Cake a la Mode or the Chocolate Truffle Mousse. Halo Halo, Leche Flan and Creme Brulee are the other dessert options.
Number 1 Barbecues has something for everyone.

My new favorite dito sa SM City East... my top choices there, smoked beef ! ofcourse d spicy lechon sisig, & bbq pecho. my friend liked the buttered shrimp the most, plus the tempura, favorite nya shrimp hahha. Then I had that choco alaMode and she ordered cream brulee, overall very nice, their place, location, service, and food.
Awesome selections and yet the prices are not expensive. I personally love their bbq chicken, lechon sisig, and smoked U.S. beef rice meal. The staff that I talked to said their U.S. Beef and Pork Belly are cooked for 12 hours, that's why they are very delicious. True enough, when I tried their beef, it did not disappoint. Will definitely be back here again to bring my friends!
These are in the range of mang inasal and jts manukan. They have a decent tasting soup much much better than that of mang inasal which was overly artificially sour. I ordered lechon belly with rice and suprisingly it was delicious. One downside of this resto is that you cannot order additional meat unless you order it with rice. Now for a meat eater like me it is rather disappointing that is why I gave it a low score. Now dont get me wrong they have wide selection of food you just cant order it without the rice. Price wise it is reasonable with with their serving portion. Staff and crew are efficient and friendly. For those with sweet tooth they also have desserts from halo halo to chocolate cake ala mode.
For the quality of food you get, good Roast Beef is not cheap, their prices are reasonable. They are still on soft opening so there were a few challenges. I loooove and will recommend their U.S. Roast Beef, Lechon Belly and Lechon Sisig!
This has been one of my family's fave resto in SM East Ortigas. It has a wide range of menu from Filipino Cuisine,Japanese, Mediterranean and American and a great factor is their refillable rice and they really maintain the cleanliness of their store. However there was a time that i waited for 30 mins for my meal to arrived, and it took me several times to follow them up. Well I guess, when the meal is not a usual order, they will take them a lot of time to cook it. But other than that, this place is good,
Will I recommend this? Yes! With the refillable rice,soup and cleanliness and to mention their store is really well ventilated, you should definitely try this!
We visit SM East Ortigas regularly and we’re also a fan of their official Facebook page. About a week or so ago, we noticed a post on their website about Number 1 Barbecues that recently opened. What struck us was their promo that for a limited time, until July 14 at least, their rice meals will come with a free drink and unlimited rice. Now that’s a deal. After the deal, as posted on their menu, the unlimited rice will be an add-on that you need to pay for as well as, of course, the drinks.
I ordered the smoked beef meal. It took a good 15mins and a couple of follow-ups for my order to arrive. The order had a thinly sliced piece of smoked beef, a cup of rice, and 2 small sides (mashed potato and macaroni salad). I didn't expect my order to include the sides, so it was a nice surprise. Another surprise was that the rice was refillable. The beef itself is tasty. You can distincly taste the mix of spice they used to flavor the meat. The meal itself was okay considering its price. I will defitely come back and try their other meals.
