Always the perfect cup of coffee with any of their pastries. We cannot NOT go here after every Mitsuyado SeiMen meal (Pasay and Jupiter Makati branches). Staff is great too!
I loved the food at Yamato Bakery Cafe in Makati but I don't like the staff!!!
delicious food! definitely going to buy a cake next time!

If there is one pastry that I just can't say "no" to, this would be a Kouign-Amann. It is one of those things that I must order,if available, when I'm in a bakery or restaurant.
I decided to try Yamato's version and I might say, it might not be the best j have ever tasted but it's up there. It was fresh from the oven when it got served to me and the thing was oozing with melted butter. The only draw back with it was it lacked a the caramel crust that I'm always looking for with Kouign-Amanns.
In terms of pricing, I felt it was right on and seems justifiable. Their service was pretty good also.
Will I come back to this bakery? Yes if I'm in the area and looking for a pastry to pair with my coffee.
Yamato is one of my favorite cafes when I want to indulge myself in pastry. Their pieces are like works of art, too pretty to eat. I tried the Strawberry shortcake and I waa pleased with how large and fresh the strawberries were and how the sweetness was perfectly balanced.
The place itself reminds me of patisseries in Tokyo. Will dine here again.
I love their blueberry danish. Not too sweet and the creaminess is really good. Also tried their ham and egg roll before and it was also good.
Yamato is another brand that is part of the UCC group. It is a store where they place all their treats that are also sold in their cafes. They have premium cakes, pastries, pieces of bread and coffee here.
I really enjoyed having their Fruit Danish. The overall texture had a good balance of flaky, soft and a bit of crisp on its glazed parts. I liked that it wasn’t as sugary too.
Their Spam with Japanese mayo was as delightful. It was salty, sweet and tangy all in one go. The bread was slightly fluffy as well.
Yamato got Strawberry Shortcake as well. It is currently one of the popular cakes going around this season.

Love their croissants! Though it’s my first time but will definitely try the others next time. More branches please. In Quezon City, hopefully!
Yamato cakes and pastries are perfect! its not too sweet nor too creamy. However, the place is too small and I saw a lot of potential customers walking out because theres no table/seats left.
For those on Keto diet they have keto breads and keto paninis.

My new rule is: If I am still in Ayala Malls The 30th by 8pm then I MUST drop by Yamato Japanese Bakery by UCC because breads go on Buy-1-Take-1 just before closing!👌🏼 And they are gooood! Got this Turtle Caramel Custard because it was just too cute and I was pleasantly surprised it was delicious. Loved the dulce-de-leche-like filling, it goes well with the green tea “shell.” Their mini maple croissants, bacon croissant & cheese tarts are good too. The wafu hamburger was filling, perfect if you’re really hungry, but the sauce is a bit on the sweet side (not gravy-like). They have a very wide selection & so my other rule is I should get something new every time so I get to try everything. 😉
Almost a perfect rating for the quality, taste, and presentation of the breads and pastries but still a bit on the pricey side with majority of the breads at ₱88 to ₱98. So it would be nice sometimes to take advantage of the Buy-1-Take-1 promo. But I would definitely drop by for coffee and grab a pastry or bread at regular price too.
I love the interiors of this outlet compared to two other outlets I visited. Their selection is more varied than those of Blue Bay Walk and Rockwell Business Centre, but they open later than those two. They also sell more non-baked items.
I love the Japanese feels of this bakery - the interior and the JPop music and of course, the baked goodies!
The staff were friendly and helpful!! I give them 5 stars!
Love the Cheese Lava Tart, all their croissants and the Turtle Matcha Caramel Custard!
The Almond Chocolate is too sweet and the Salad Roll tasted like mayonnaise on a bread.
I wasn’t able to taste their cake since I find it expensive. Their coffee is UCC so it was great! If you’re dining in, they don’t offer service water so you have to buy bottled water which is 40 pesos. I feel like I’m in Singapore where you pay for drinking water.
With that all said,I would definitely buy here again!!
2 years ago we went to Japan and I was very fond of UCC’s Beans and Roasters Cafe Latte. While we were strolling around Ayala Malls at the 30th we passed by this cute bakery/ coffee shop, I as a fan of cute bakeshops decided to go inside and check the place out. I almost cried (hyperbole) when I saw the coffee that I’ve been looking for a year for already.
I always order the ff:
🥐 Chocolate Croissant
- Pricey but I LOVE IT so no regrets.
🥐 Chocolate Danish
- I love the Dark Chocolate inside of this bread.
☕️ Beans And Roasters Cafe latte
- It gives me the Nostalgic feels of Japan’s convenience stores. It tastes really good!!!
⚡️ Would I go back here?
- YES, The fact that ayala malls the 30th is my second home mall and I love their coffee. Huhu.
A meal wouldn’t be complete without desserts. My friend and I stopped by Yamato for some coffee and sweets. I tried their Almond Croissant (Php 118) I liked how flakey it was plus the yema like filling inside wasn’t overly sweet and almond slices added an additional texture to the pastry.
For my coffee, I had their Almond Latte (Php 130) they didn’t use any almond syrup but rather almond milk instead which was delicious alternative to regular milk.
Yes it was an almond filled afternoon 😬

The croissants smell amazing. I only got one piece of their regular croissant for 28. It was for my daughter who wanted a snack before dinner.
The original was glazed in what smelled like maple walnut syrup. Smelled so good.
Yamato Bakery Cafe by UCC is probably one of the fanciest bakeries I've seen out there (that doesn't provide extremely expensive pastries). Besides the fact that I am a huge fan of the aesthetic of the place, their breads and pastries are all instagram-worthy too!
I purchased their Matcha Mini Croissants (*don't exactly remember if that's what it's called) and a Fruit Danish.
The Matcha Mini Croissants are too die for! I normally don't like red beans.. but the flavor of red beans on this one is very subtle, something I truthfully enjoyed eating (that says a lot cause I am really not a fan of red beans). Highly recommend!!!!
As for the Fruit Danish, AMAZING! No words are needed to describe this perfect piece of art (pastry lol). I was very surprised that not only the quality of the actual pastry was great... the frruit toppings were all sweet too! The cream in the middle created a perfect harmony for the pastry and the fruit.
I would love to purchase more pastries from this shop, hoping they have a branch in the south real soon!
Freshly-baked bread, pastries, cakes, and coffee all in one place! Yes, we found them all at the newly-opened Yamato Bakery Cafe by UCC at the Ayala Malls The 30th in Pasig City. We rarely go this side of town because of its distance from our place but good thing we visited last week just in time for Yamato’s opening week. It was really nice to see the new face of Yamato in one of the newest malls in Metro Manila. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will be sharing with you what we got for our “baon” and what to expect when you visit this beautiful bakery and cafe, enjoy!
