Being the closest ramen place to my house, Ramen Cool was always the convenient option to me. But after they expanded their menu, I found myself dining there more often. It’s so nice how they are not conservative with their sushi menu and goes for fusion creations. Their dining area with dividers is also great for keeping their guests’ dining experience private
We were seated right away on a Sunday lunch. The servers were attentive and none of our orders were forgotten. The food came one at a time. Approx wait time was 3 jazz songs.
I liked the generous servings. For example, the salmon miso ramen was a small aquarium, the sashimi was cut into thick, hefty pieces, and the California Love Maki roll was a mouthful.

Back when I worked in the Ortigas area, my officemates and I used to venture to the foodie-friendly Kapitolyo for our happy lunches. One of our favorite haunts is Ramen Cool which was established in the area before the ongoing ramen craze. It offers Japanese food lovers their favorite dishes, some with a few twists.
Big servings. Its good that the kids enjoyed the meal. Will probably try their other ramen offerings since they have so many versions of it.
Huge servings! As in huge! We were not able to finish it because we thought we need out usual 3 different orders.
Quite nice taste of ramen. Price is reasonable.
My friends and I loved the Sweet Salmon Summer Roll. One order would have 8 slices so we had 2 slices each. Surprised that we liked it so much, we ordered again right after finishing the first roll! Plus points for it’s price - worth it.
We also had the following:
Pork Shio Ramen - 2.5 stars (a bit salty for us)
Beef Ramen - 3.5 stars (the beef strips and soup are good)
Regular Gyoza - 3.5 stars
Okonomiyaki Gyoza - 4 stars
Sweet Salmon Summer Roll - 5 stars
Personally I would try more of their Maki rolls than their Ramens, though.
The size of maki became smaller. They should have increase the price instead of reducing the portion. Though ramen is still perfect. 'til next time
First, ambiance is great. The place is well-lighted with a good set of furniture. Next, service is okay. Food is also okay. We ordered ramen (I forgot what kind) and a katsu curry.
If you are looking for a ramen place with an IG worthy ambiance, this is perfect for you. I tried their signature ramen and katsudo. My tounge was half pleased but my tummy was so satisfied. Their ramen bowl huge that it’s good for 2. However, the soup was bland that I had to add seasoning to add a bit taste. Tip: mix the egg upon serving it will add a creamy taste. Curry ramen is also a must try. The katsudon bowl comes with a japanese rice which makes it more tasty. The crews are pleasing and quick.
If you want to try ramen with an average taste and is inexpensive, this ones good for you. Nothings so great about this ramen chain but will do na rin
Been craving for some ramen, so if you’re like me who cannot eat ramen because of the pork broth then you can try this ramen resto. We ordered from their specialty menu the Salmon Miso Ramen and Black Garlic Chicken, originally the broth they really use is pork based but they changed it into water based since we asked them.
PLACE
- The location is just around a corner so it’s accessible.
- We had the place to ourselves since we came here around 3pm.
-It’s cozy.
FOOD
-The Black Garlic chicken was just okay nothing special.
-Salmon Miso was WOW! The salmon for me was cooked perfectly like it’s crispy and super tasty. The soup was on point ang sarap swear! This is a must try.
- Their bowl of ramen is worth it dahil may laman siya unlike others that I’ve tried almost half of the bowl is soup lang.
VERDICT
-will definitely go back because the price is worth it for the taste and amount of ramen they serve.
I must say that Ramen Cool is our go-to place whenever we crave for Ramen.
AMBIENCE.This branch can accomodate big group of families/ friends/ workmates.
SERVICE. We’ve seen changes of service crew ever since we’ve visit this place. Crew are very accomodating and improving. Always try to speak their nihonggo greeting
FOOD. Their signature Rcool ramen live up to its name. I love how they add corn in it. Sad to say you have to pay for their extra broth. Their gyoza is quiet okay while kani salad is a must try. California love is an alltime favorite-the mango bits really add a different twist to our usual japanese fixin.
Overall i would definitely come back to try their other dishes. Oishi! 🍱🍣🍥🍜
Great place to get Japanese food. Servings were generous and flavors were on point! Place was also nice, however the staff were not very attentive (minus one star 😔 ).
We ordered Rcool Barachirashi, Pork Shoyu Ramen, Chirashi Regular, and Firecracker Maki (not pictured).
Edit: May 2019
Dined here again recently. Had the ff
Rcool Ramen - Serving size was good for 3! Forgot that their bowls were so huge. Really filling. Flavors were okay, nothing extraordinary. I liked the firmness of the noodles.
Gyudon - I've had better, but the flavors were good. Serving size was also generous.
Spicy Tuna Roll - Was so-so. A bit underwhelming for me.
Happy with the serving sizes but not so much on the flavors of the dishes I had today. Will try other items on the menu next time.
Staff still not very attentive/pleasant/helpful.
The rain hit hard earlier today. Commuting became difficult because of the weather. Luckily, I got stuck in Kapitolyo where the best foods are.
As a ramen fan(ish), I decided to visit Ramen Cool. There weren't much people probably because it's the weekend and raining. Who would want to get wet just to eat and stupid enough not to bring an umbrella? Me.
I ordered one of their best selling ramen RCool Ramen. Do take note that their noodles are hand made! They also cooked it perfectly. Not chewy or mushy. Juuust right. :3
The soup was good. Every sip makes you want to pick up your spoon for more. And more. and more. Morer?!
Their hot cappuccino is good. Not memorable though. I should've asked what's their best selling beverage is.
Their staffs are very friendly and accomodating! Thanks Josena(hope I got your name right) for the service!
Overall, I will come back. Will definitely bring a few of my friends. :)
The place has a very good ambience. Their noodle taste authentic and its affordable. Will return again soon. A nics place to enjoy your noodle cravings.
AMBIANCE- Relaxing since we came in at 2pm, clean place.
SERVER- Attentive probably because we were the only customer.
FOOD- Decent. I love Japanese food and quite picky about it, if you are following me you would noticed that I have visited Japanese restaurant quite often. The food is not as good as the other restaurants but it was filling and the servings are good for 2 person. 😊 will come back but not anytime soon.
We ordered the following gyudon, spicy chicken, gyoza, kimuchi ramen and cool mango.
The ramen's not outstanding (bland and tastes like instant noodles) but everything else is a 5/5. A great option to bring friends and dine together as the ambiance is great :)

Great service from the attentive staff.
Noodles and maki come in an affordable price and tastes really good. Been here twice and will still go back.
I went to my friend's hotel and we decided to eat ramen here because it is the nearest noodle house. I checked the reviews and fortunately, we enjoyed the food. We ordered the bestseller pork shioramen and ebi tempura. Both were delicious enough to satisfy our jap cravings. The ambience was good, we felt the japanese atmosphere in there.
Dry Ramen ramen and California love is a must try... Affordable lunch sets is a big plus... Big servings... Airconditioning is letdown as it not sufficient on very hot days
This is a good place to go to when you're craving for japanese. Their seafood ramen is very tasty and it had lots in it! I always make sure to order gyoza on the size, and their's is good to balance the noodles out. Sashimi is always a treat, especially when it's served fresh like theirs. Establishment has parking and very easy to find. I wish they'd open early, though. I think usual store opening is around 11am, which shck because on those rainy mornings, you's just want comfort food that could satisfy the cravings. All in all a good experience. Woukd eat again.
My friend from NZ came to visit so we booked a cheap hotel nearby and went to Ace Water Spa. We kinda found this walking towards the hotel. It's not really noticeable but we're glad we decided to eat here because the food is good! The servings are huge for the price too! I ordered a Katsu Curry Ramen for myself but I wasn't able to finish the entire thing! It cost Php 270. I also got to try the Spicy Tuna Maki and the Gyoza. Both were really good but my friend who loves Gyoza said that it had a plastic taste (I didn't get that at all though).
This place is not really enticing from the outside, good thing I read that their food is good. There are parking spaces outside which is quite rare in Kapitolyo. They have more booths with couch inside that offers privacy and space for diners.
Tuna Spicy Mayi
Must order! Delicious and enough spice. The rice has great texture and taste.
Chicken Karaage
The chicken is juicy and good flavor. The dipping sauce is similar to bbq, "hindi bagay", tartar, ranch or japmayo-wasabi would be more appropriate. Other than that, I can eat the chicken without the dip.
Gyoza
They are plump and great compliment with the ramen. Good thing is that their vinegar is not sweet.
Shio Ramen (Spicy)
The server said that this is classic and similar to tonkotsu broth, untrue. Still, the ramen is good and the noodles are great texture. The meat is quite tough but it's ok. The broth is light, and not like the other ramen places.
Ramen cool is affordable and a must visit restaurant in Kapitolyo.
We went here for lunch last Saturday since it was the nearest to Goodyear Servitek. We were just in time for their lunch promo.
⭐️ Food
We ordered
Gyudon 5/5
This is one my favorite Jap Foods. It’s not oily and cooked very well.
Karaage 4/5
My mama told me that they tasted like chicken nuggets. Hahaha.
Ramen 5/5
The taste was just right.
⭐️ Ambiance 4/5
If you’re looking for the Japanese Vibes, Ramen cool somehow offers it with their individual japanese house like tables.
⭐️ Service 5/5
The staff was friendly and catered our every need.
I love their california love maki. It's a must try.
Ramen is okay and service is very good. The location is also good as it is only in kapitolyo pasig which is very near to our place.
Great value for money. Their ramen is okay but we really love Kimchi so we ordered a kimuchi base with egg for P90 only and added to our ramen to boost it’s flavour. Their lunch boxes are also very affordable and I cannot complain about the taste.
Their staff are very attentive probably because we came on a holiday and there weren’t a lot of guests. Their ambiance is also good.
I will recommend this place when you want to have a quick ramen & kimchi fix. Overall, very happy
Food was good, serving sizes were big and the price was right. One of the waitresses kinda slammed our food though and had mean looks. We don't know why she was that way since we always do our best to be nice to the servers when we eat out. Still, if you're out to eat this is a nice place.
Been curious about this place especially when they started extending their business hours to midnight last year. However it could be the yellow sign that didn’t entice one to try it (aka color psychology).
When we finally did I didn’t feel that it was bad, however I can’t remember much of it too. Somehow like a passing thought.
I love the food especially the pork shioramen and classic maki which melts in your mouth. The price is just right. I always want to go here after work though sometimes I'm unlucky since they close early.
Make sure you order gyoza, one of the best I’ve had. The ramen was alright, good for sharing. The tofu was wonderfully different, crispy on the outside and silky on the inside. The relish made the dish very interesting.
✔️ nice ambience and comfy seats
✔️ good service
✔️ good food
✔️ HUGE servings, good for 2-3 persons
✔️ affordable prices
Recommendations: There was nothing special about their ramen, but it wasn't bad. Their gyoza and California Love maki was sooo good. I highly recommend their daily lunch sets because it's super sulit. Where else can you get ramen, chahan rice, 3pcs gyoza, kani salad, tamagoyaki, and iced coffee all for Php209? Definitely a lot of value for your money.

Generous servings of ramen for under P300 (heck, under P200 for some!). There's more than a dozen variants of delicious ramen to choose from. There are lots of other Japanese staples too, like chicken karaage, sushi, sashimi and tempura to name a few....and there's Japanese desserts as well! There is nothing in the menu that is over P500. How's that for a steal!
Parking might get challenging, but street parking is quite ample. Service is pretty fast and the attendants quite attentive. Please don't scrimp on their tips! And oh, don't bring your pets, as they're not allowed.
This is a very unassuming and delightful spot to satisfy your Japanese food cravings. Come and visit!
I have been here last Tuesday (09/05/17). It has a very warm and quiet atmosphere - perfect for a date or family dinner or if you simply want to dine in a peaceful place. It was clean and staff was attentive.
For food portions and value for money - it was affordable compared to other Japanese restaurants I've been to. The ramen bowl servings was just right. They also provide hot or cold service tea but you have to ask the staff though, they won't serve them to you until you ask them to. :)
Food and Tasting - I ordered their best seller - Pork Shioramen and Gyoza. Firstly, the ramen is best served when piping hot, apparently, it wasn't what I got. :/ You can ask their staff to re-heat the ramen for you though.
The noodles and pork were perfect - not too hard, not too soft - so I commend the chef for that, however, I would suggest to add more flavors to the soup - it wasn't too bland but you would easily know what something is missing at first sip.
Second, their gyoza was cooked perfectly and it was yummy even without the sauce - I won't recommend their sauce - as the taste was weak and watery.
Overall, Ramen Cool is "cool," not great, not perfect - just cool. Would I go there again? Perhaps, if I need peace and quiet and some gyoza to go along with it. :)
They serve and offer variety of japanese food choices with affordable prices. Location is accessible. Staffs are accommodating and friendly. If you're craving for a Japanese kind of experience, this place is a must try. Try their best seller - California Love. It's my favorite! :)
The food is affordable and the interior/exterior is appealing. Even if there is nothing special about the food, it is still worth a try! Me and my family eats here frequently. What made me give this restaurant a low rating was because I was surprised to see that about 2-4 waiters were sleeping (yes, they were lying down on the chairs) in the small private area and it was very unprofessional.
Another Japanese place in the food capital, Kapitolyo.
Place looks luxurious from the outside, kinda intimidating, but prices were quite affordable. There's just a little unpleasant smell when you enter the resto.
Wide choices of Japanese food to choose from. Our orders: Nabayake Ramen(285php),sweet and tangy, with prawns, mushrooms and vegetables. I like this. Too sweet for my bf's taste thought.Pork Shuyoramen (205php)is soy based. Bland, topped with a lot of chashu which somehow compensated the taste.
Overall experience was okay. Food was mediocre. Servers were fine and again, prices aren't as steep as other Japanese restos.
I love this cozy and comfy ramen place that have good ramen and nice lighting. An order of ramen can feed two people so for me this is a good buy. This is a ramen spot must try in Kapitolyo.
Reasonably priced set meals. Nothing special about the food especially the ramen. I had better instant mami honestly but again, set meals are reasonably priced.
I usually frequented the SM Manila branch because of work but thankfully, there's one in Kapitolyo. Can't get enough of California Love. I don't even have pictures because I eat them immediately.. 😉 They also have the best and most affordable Gyozas for me.
This is really my to go place for a cheaper Japanese lunch or dinner. I love their salmon lovers bowl. Everything on the menu is a must try.
Loved all the food we ordered. For a total bill of 600+ with no service charge, nice ambience and a hefty serving per order, this is totally worth it.
The Shoyu Ramen is very tasty and comes with 4 slices of chashu (typical Japanese restaurants serve 2 slices).
One order of pork gyoza comes in 5 big pieces.
The seafood curry is also good with bite size slices of carrots, potatoes, kani, squid, shrimp and tuna.
Ramen was not the best but not bad.
We enjoyed the Calornia Love and the Kani with cheese sushi (forgot what it was called)
Service was okay.
Ambience was not bad either.
Affordable.
High chairs were filthy.
Parking spaces available
That I love ramen is an undeestatement. It doesn't matter if it's the instant kind or it's from high end Japanese restaurants so long as the broth is piping hot and has a salty umami taste, I will lap up the ramen like crazy.
There are several ramen places I keep going back to; Ramen Cool is one of them. Ramen Cool never fails to satisfy the palate. The broth they use is rich and flavorful, which perfectly complements the hand pulled noodles, meat and veggies.
Tonight I ordered Kimuchi ramen with a kimchi-based broth that is best described as salty, sweet, spicy and sour all at once. It has a subtle hint of kimchi that never overpowers the taste buds. The layers and interplay of tastes are definitely well balanced, which I think makes this a great ramen. The food kept me feeling satisfied all night.
We also ordered California roll but this is definitely not a strong suit of RC. Its taste is middling to say the least. Not good and not bad, but somewhere in the middle.
Would I go back to RC? Definitely. I have been here several times and tonight will definitely not be the last.
ordered their pork shoyuramen, pork shioramen, chicken teriyaki, katsudon, seafood ramen, gyoza, california love
hefty serving and very affordable
It's awesome. I had a chance to visit Ramen last Friday when I was on my way to a nearby waterspa. The place was a bit a difficult to spot because it's in the midst of a neighborhood and there's a car repair shop beside it. The main entrance was easily blocked by the cars parked in front too.
Anyway, I ordered a bowl of Pork Shioramen and Earl Grey Tea. I love the way they served the tea, it was on a teapot with a little fire underneath, perhaps to keep the tea warm, I assume? I like the taste of their Shioramen, it's very much similar to Sekitori's basic ramen. And they served it in a HUGE bowl.
I can't say that I hate it, but I think they should try to work on improving their noodles. When I got mine, the noodles were all stuck together and it's like I had to untangle it so I could eat it. And the noodles tasted like the noodles from the Chinese noodles or the local Filipino street noodles. Overall, if you're looking for 'something Japanese' with a small budget in your pocket, this will surely do its job. :)
This place definitely scores high in terms of giving you value for your money.
If you're unsure of what to order, maybe you can try one of the following (which I enjoyed the most):
1. Nabeyaki Ramen - One of their best sellers and after tasting it, it was no wonder.
2. 2na Tuna Roll - I really loved this roll. Be patient though, they do warn you that their rolls take quite some time to be served, but the long wait was well worth it for this one. It's a bit rich though so you might feel a bit overwhelmed by the generous amount of Japanese Mayo so eat slowly.
3. Cool Iced Tea - Quite sweet so consider adding a little water
*Their tempura ramen was a bit bland, but after adding a dash of Kikkoman, it's not that bad.
Last time I visited (June 2019), the place kind of smelled like the pet groomers though. I hope they can do something about the smell.
Ordered something new when I visited: Tonkatsu Curry Rice.
Their curry was decent but the amount of curry was honestly not enough for me. They were kind enough to serve me some tonkatsu sauce when I asked for some.
We had an awesome Japanese feel late night dinner at this ramen place. Location is not hard to find since it is on a prime location inside Kapitolyo. Ambiance is absolutely excellent, they will give you enough japanese feel for you to enjoy more the food.
We Ordered:
RCool Ramen = 295
It was the instant recommendation of the food server when we asked for their best seller. She wasn't wrong since it's absolutely rich in flavor and very aromatic. More of a miso soup base with creamy texture with herby kick. The pork slice is cut perfectly and flavorful.
Kani Salad = 170
A very good starter to prepare and stimulate your pallette for exciting meal. It's sweet, creamy and full of crunch which we all want for a kani salad.
Gyoza = 135
Five pieces of big mouthful gyozas. Not greasy and not saggy, with just the right balance of flavors perfected with their simple gyoza sauce.
Spicy Tuna Mayo = 215
You can never go wrong with these small bites of happiness. Just too pretty to eat and so appealing to resist.
It's an almost perfect experience, it's just that, the food servant wasn't fully knowledgeable with the basic ingredients of the makis.
Yummy food! Nice ambiance. Good food for less. This is one of my favourite go-to places for Ramen and maki. Their price is so affordable and their serving is hefty. The service is efficient too. So far, I have loved everything that I've ordered here. The only problem you'd encounter here is when there is no parking slot during the dinnertime. The place seems to be always packed.
Ramen Cool serves the best specialty ramen I have tasted so far. I don't know what could top this (don't get me wrong, Ramen Nagi serves great Classic Ramen).
Nabesaki Ramen - Sweet; the taste was balanced by the fresh ingredients, s.a. Mushrooms, Tempura, Shrimp, raw egg, etc.
Katsu Curry - the taste of the katsu is not overpowering. It was very light but still has that authentic curry feel. The noodles were firm and easy to slurp! Oh the joys of slurping ramen ❤️
There was no "umay" factor ka na both these ramen.
The ambiance is relaxing and calm. I would go back (many times lol)!
Hands down to their sukiyaki and to their california maki love! Shoyu ramen and their tofu salad are very tasty. Price is not bad not to pricey and their servings are big.
Food was great. Should have discovered it a long time. LOL. Additional thumbs up because they are open until 12 midnight. 👍🏻 *they actually need to speed up their service though* my personal fave pic is their gyoza and salmon bowl
Awesome Ramen Joint! It is so affordable and delicious! Their Tuna Combi served with Sushi Rice is a must try! And they even serve Hot Green Tea on the house! 🙂🙂🙂

Visited Ramen Cool with friends last April 23, 2016. The place itself is very high end. You'll feel like you are in a legit Japanese restaurant. It looked very expensive and we even hesitated to go in. Their staff is friendly and very accomodating. I love their wide range of menu items from ramens, makis and katsu. We were surprised by the larger than usual serving size of each item we ordered as we expected small servings. The food tastes really great. The price of the food is very worth it. I can't really think of anything negative to say about the place. I will definitely come back to try their other items. I will also recommend this to friends and family.
I am not particularly a fan of ramen, but theirs are not that bad! What I love is their california love (maki). ugh! I must get one now, excuse me...
My fiance introduced me to this humble restaurant, we ordered the rcool ramen (it was delicious - it has corn, slices of pork and flavorful broth), gyoza, beef gyudon and chirashi. Price is just right. You can also request for hot green tea (served fresh + for free)
This one of the least expensive ramen/japanese places you can dine. If you're on a budget but can't resist your cravings for ramen and gyoza this is a place for you. They serve food that are right for the price and decent one. What i like is even if they're a budget friendly they offer complimetary tea and you can have it ice as well. So parang naka tipid ka sa drink mo. Just ask for honey may ice tea kana.
I've been to a lot of Japanese shops searching for ramen. Theirs was the cheapest of the bunch. Their noodles felt like the packaged ones rather than the fresh ones, but hey, their Tonkotsu broth was the star of the show. My vegetarian boyfriend even liked the miso ramen so much, he didn't mind the ground pork. Their sashimi is fine, and didn't taste so fishy. What I'm most amazed with is their fried tofu with "japanese" sauce. It's silken freaking tofu, coated in crispy batter. Heck, I can't even open a pack of silken tofu in tubes without them turning into mush! I like going to this place a lot, and I might move near Kapitolyo just for this.
Ramen Cool is a bright spot in the busy, dark streets of Kapitolyo. With the interiors being a bright sunny color, it was a place that I marked in my head. I said to myself, "I'm going to eat there" and late last week it finally happened.
FM decided that we'd have dinner here because he knew that I wanted to have dinner here. I liked the interior of this place. It was nicely lit and the colors were very warm.
FM and I decided to get the basics. I started off with the Salmon Creme Soup which was Php95. It was HUGE and it was creamy. I love the taste of the salmon and the mixture of the greens and milk. It was really good.
The Kohi Ice is Php130. It is made of small coffee cubes, milk, and honey syrup. FM was kind enough to demonstrate how to make it and I really, really love this series of shots.
I love how the colors turned. Best part is that when you add 2 cups of honey, it tasted really good. I also ordered the Seafood Ramen which was Php205. It was big enough for 2 and I knew that FM loves ramen so I got this for him.
The reason I got the ramen is because FM ordered this because he knew I wanted the sushi but not the rice. The Chirashi Regular is Php195 and I love how fresh the fish was.
The last thing on our table was the Tuna Steak which is also priced at Php195. This is the least favorite dish of mine for that night. I don't know. I just didn't like it.
Overall, I'd still recommend Ramen Cool to friends and readers. The place is very nice and the food is overall really tasty.
The ambiance of the place is cool, modern with some elements of old Japan. It was everything Japan is known for.
The wait staff was kind and pleasant, they were polite and checked in from time to time.
I ordered Pork Shoyu Ramen and Chicken Karaage. The Pork Shoyu Ramen broth was seasoned well. It had a salty broth with hints of miso, I believe. I can't quite put a finger on it. The pork slices were tender and had been seasoned well too, it goes quite well with the noodles.
Chicken karaage were tender and pretty straightforward. Crunchy and seasoned with a signature seasoning. It had a bit of kick into it. I can't quite explain, but I am sure, this place made me love karaage.
The first time i ate here, i was surprised with the food serving since they gave big servings. Food price is pretty much cheaper compared to the other ramen resto's. I would suggest that you order their ramen, specifically the spicy ones and their sushi as well. If you are craving for a quick fix on your japy craving then Ramen Cool is the place to be!
This Japanese Restaurant is located at the corner of East Capitol and West Capitol drive. The area is quite busy but the restaurant has a bit of parking space and an attendant is there to help out. The place is well lighted and the interiors have a clean japanese motiff. The food here is quite affordable and the best sellers are known by the waitresses. They place japanese music which adds a bit of character to the place. I order the best sellers: Pork Shioramen, the California Love, and the Chicken Yakisoba.
The Pork Shioramen is good enough. It is cheaper than the more popular Ramen bars around... but is in no way inferior. The broth is slightly thinner but is tasty enough. The serving is big and maybe shared by two. The pork slices are tender and well seasoned. The taste is somewhat like asado but less sweet.
The California Love (maki) is really good. It is just like your typical California maki but there is an additional topping of onions and finely chopped crabsticks mixed in japanese mayo. This maki is just heavenly and comes highly recommened.
The Chicken Yakisoba is just like your typical Chicken Pancit canton. A lot of people order this because it's quite affordable and the serving size is good for sharing. There is a tendency for the dish to be oily and the Calamansi juice can take away some of the greasy taste.
Ramen Cool is definitely a "cool" place to dine when you are looking for affordable japanese cuisine.

It's our neighborhood ramen and a good place when u want a basic Japanese fix. Food is good and staff are friendly.
It's just a little noisy for my taste, It's like eating in a fastfood. So it's not a place for a quiet relaxing lunch. It's always buzzing and full ☺
Service was great. They attended to us quite fast.
Food came fast as well.
We ordered ramencool's signature ramen, curry seafood plus tempura.
We liked all of their food except for the tempura. The shrimps were quite small and their sauce should be changed.
Tempura sauce tasted like a very very cheap toyo.
Other than that we liked it.
Will we be back. Yes we will but we would not order the tempura anymore hehehe..

Conveniently located at the busiest intersection of Kapitolyo, I have always wanted to check out this Ramen bar. The lighting is good which allows you to see the cozy interiors from the inside. Today, I finally got to try it!
We arrived at 630pm and we're eligible for the early dinner promo of 599 net. The combo comes with 2 ramens of your choice, gyoza (5 large pcs), 4 small pieces of California Maki, Kani Salad and ice cream. Great deal!
We were absolutely impressed with the service. Our waiter, Jeny, was so friendly and knowledgeable in the menu. We were informed that their best sellers were the RCOOL Ramen and Tempura Ramen so that's what we got.
Within a few minutes, everything was out from the kitchen and on to our tables! Very very impressive for a Saturday night and the resto was quite full too.
The Kani salad could have used a bit more Japanese mayo. It was too bland.
The gyoza were ginormous. We only had 1 each. It was so tasty! Love it that on every bite juice comes out. Gyoza's tend to be dry and this juicy bunch were much appreciated.
As for the Ramen, they were below average, unfortunately. For someone who's used to eating Ramenagi, their's was quite disappointing on taste level. The broth was not rich nor tasty. I am quite fascinated with the condiments which made the taste much better! Dont get me wrong, the noodles were delicious as well as the meat abd veggies, but theres something about the broth that sets it below the usual ramen taste. On the bright side, we were delighted with the large proportions. A Ramen bowl can be shared by 2 if you're not too hungry.
The ice cream was a perfect ending on this filling meal. It was not too sweet and it had that distinct taste which we loved.
I would have given it a 5 except I wasn't too impressed with some of the dishes. I think Filipino's has made Ramenagi a Ramen standard for quality taste. For everything else, Ramen Cool was above average. I am definitely going back because their service is impeccable!
Been craving ramen for a few days and when I went to Ramen Cool.... I wasn't disappointed.
The ambiance of the place made me feel at home, the service was good, and the ramen? Well... all I can say is that I have found comfort in a bowl of curry katsu and a glass of their Tokyo Coffee Jelly 💛
I will definitely come back.
If your looking for an inexpensive ramen fix, this is a good idea. Ramen bowls range at around 250/serving. Serving sizes are big enough. Ramen tastes well, though I have to say there are better tasting bowls elsewhere. Tried their RC ramen, its not disappointing at all. The gyoza ka just okay
I always pass by Ramen Cool whenever I am in Kapitolyo since it is located at an intersection close to where I work, but I never tried it before. After a random weekday morning workout at Ace Water Spa, I decided to look for a restaurant which was just walking-distance away from Ace and I ended up trying out Ramen Cool.
Upon entering, I already liked the restaurant because of its beautiful interiors. What I also love about the interiors of Ramen Cool is that it was well lit--a plus factor for me since I love to take photos of the food I eat. The glass windows also add up to the ambiance and provide good natural lighting from the outside.
The ambiance of the place gave me an impression that the menu would be quite pricey--just like the mainstream Japanese ramen restaurants that we have today. I came in for a wonderful lunch surprise.
They offer daily lunch sets from 11am to 2pm which differ per day. Decided to try one from the menu and here are the dishes that I have tried:
Iced Coffee. Coffee, milk, sugar syrup. Served unstirred. The sugar syrup is at the bottom of the glass so it's up to you if you want it really sweet or not. I decided to just mix it a bit at the middle to mix the milk and coffee and some of the syrup. It gets really sweet if you mix it all the way.
Tamagoyaki and Kani Salad. The tamago was thinly sliced and sweet in the right amount. I'm a tamago lover, so basically two slices are not enough for me. Too bad that they do not offer this a la carte on the menu. The kani salad had the right freshness and amount of sauce, with roe that was already distributed.
Gyoza (3pcs). The gyoza was large and the contents were good and cooked well. It was not oily either.
Pork Shioramen. Shio ramen is basically salt ramen so it is not a surprise if this ramen would taste salty. However, it was just a bit saltier than expected. Solved by adding some hot water, though. The chashu was soft and thinly sliced. The noodle was cooked perfectly.
Chahan Fried Rice. Well-cooked and was seasoned just right. Not bland nor too tasty. The grains are soft and does not separate easily which makes it easy to eat with chopsticks.
Black Sesame Ice Cream. I ordered this out of curiosity. Basically, the ice cream's texture was like frozen yogurt. I did not seem to distinguish the black sesame. The bottom part of the glass had crushed grahams which adds texture and extra taste to the ice cream. It was like having tiramisu with frozen yogurt.
Everything except the black sesame ice cream was part of the daily ramen set (Thursday) that I ordered for lunch.
Decided to include the menu for the daily lunch sets since it was not posted on their Zomato profile. (See full blog post on link)
The best part of my Ramen Cool experience was that my bill was only 304 Php. 209 Php for the ramen set and 95 Php for the dessert. No service charge. I think that my orders were price-worthy and the dining experience was worth it considering the ambiance and service as well.

The Japanese food was great and the staff was very accommodating. 😄👍 The guard outside wasn't thou. He was busy chatting with a guy.
We ordered gyoza, tempura, California love maki, and others. Sorry i already forgot the others and i didn't have the chance to take a picture of it. We were starving. Haha. To compensate that we took the store's photo instead.
Ate for here for the first time last weekend and we're sure to go back soon. Ramen serving is good for sharing. I ordered gyoza and it was real good. We wanted to try everything at once upon seeing the menu. Interior is interesting, we loved it. As per the price, it's reasonable, the for sharing ramen is sulit.
It's cheap Japanese food. You get a little bit more than what you pay for, depending on what you're ordering, how much you're spending, and who you're with. Not a date place.
Tried the katsu curry. Good portion of Pork. Curry was tasty and spicy. Veggies were mostly onions though.
Cravings satisfied!!
Pork Shoyuramen is the best. I have been searching for the same deliciousness and I had it. I have to admit that I felt like I was in cloud 9 while eating this ramen. Scrumptious! Delicious! A must try!
The crew was awesome. They even served us a kiddie bowl and utensils. I will definitely come back here to eat the same awesomeness.
It's been a long time since I tried new places to eat and I'm missing tasting something new so I asked my mom to eat with me since I'm broke but nevertheless Ramen Cool is a very affordable place to have some japanese food!!!
They have this promo during lunch time but even without this, their price range is pretty affordable.
Well I would say that the thickest slice of sashimi I ate was from Ramen Cool plus it was so fresh and has a rich flavor. I'm just not sure if it was like that always or our timing was good. The ramens were satisfying also though the seafood ramen has lots of veggies.
