Any self-declared foodie must have visited this place at least once. Their infamous breakfast options and all day, all night service makes them quite a landmark. The garage setting makes it also homey. Plus this place gets how to cook eggs 👌
Open air seating with lots of fans to keep you cool (they also have a small "indoor" seating area if you really want). Menu doesn't have many photos, so use Google or ask them - they're quite helpful. Prices are quite reasonable and the food is good. No service charge included at time of writing.
Ordered here for to go.. as usual its jam packed because of their reasonable prices. Please don't be maarte when you go here. Place is decent with good food.. well most of it. Its not airconditioned and sometimes there are flies. But again, you are dining here bec of the food, the convenience and no-frills all day breakfast food 👌 Have been to other branches and staff are always polite.
the only problem is that when my friends and i went there, their garbage place is in front and near to the gate of the resto. maybe that day the collectors are not yet collecting. im more worried of the insects that are present in there tho, compare to the smell of it.
but over all the food was great i love the honey garlic chicken
A great great place for morning breakfast. The staff is super courteous. The place doesn't have seating for very large groups but definitely worth squeezing in. The food is epic and super tasty. The omlette came with rice and bacon. The mixed mini pancakes were definitely a highlight. Super tasty, three flavours, fresh and juicy. We had the cappuccino and the hot chocolate. Loved them both. Spam and eggs and even the baked breads were really good. Definitely recommend this place for tourists who want mood food. Most of the things they serve are with rice and bacon, so ask your server before ordering. A must visit for tourists. Great place.
Always ung Honey Garlic Chicken nila. Un palang solb na! Winner! Then you can also try their Lechon Kawali which is equally good. Their staff are all mabait.
Our go-to hangover recovery place. Anytime breakfast just take away the queesiness and over partying remnants from the night before.
We love the champorado and lechon kawali... other favorites are danggit and longanisa. Wash down with soda and you'll feel right as new. Wait time: 3 opm songs
Best place to go to when you're craving for breakfast food at ungodly hours. They have everything from pancakes to kesong puti and tuyo and spam and scramble. Their fried chicken is also really good!
Dining here often. Low priced yet filling and satisfying. Service is average, food takes some time to be served. Ambiance is okay, it is open air, but the store is equipped with electric fans. Overall, good dining experience.
Affordable yet the dishes are indeed high quality!! Love their champorado even at midnight, as well as their desserts and spanish sardine! A place that you can visit when you want to eat something that can satisfy your hunger!
Rice meals are no-fail. Pancake batter could be more fluffy. Prepare for the heat and drink lots of liquid if necessary. Parking will probably be a pain
Another to go place if you want an affordable spot to eat. The name says it all, they only serve breakfast meals ALL DAY which is a haven for people like me who loves to eat classic breakfast. The pancakes are good, as well as the rice meals. My favorite is the daing!

I came here at around 3 AM, and I ordered the well-known Honey-buttered Chicken, original pancakes, and breakfast tapa for my partner. We truly enjoyed how the food was presented. What I loved were the fried tomatoes with pesto sauce that came perfectly with the chicken.
The reason why it was a 4/5 is because they had to close that morning. Hence, less food choices and we had to rush our food too.
Over-all, it was an amazing food haul.
P.S. Try going here during non-peak hours. Weekdays.
...Kanto is one my personal go-to places for breakfast, it never fails when i bring guests that i need to impress, the simple whole-in-the-wall vibe contrasts wells with the gourmet level food servings. price wise, you get more than enough for what you pay for, and the service crew are always smiling and helpful
Kanto is one of my favorite restaurants as it has big servings with reasonable prices. You would want to order everything in the menu when you go there. 😊😊
Great place for cheap foods but luxurious when it comes to taste !! Their chicken longa is my fave! This is the only place where i order chik longa! WORTH GOING HERE. Usually go here during 2 to 3am best time to visit this place!
Went here for brunch. As always never disappointed with tapa. First time to try danggit and it was tasty. Ate gurl who serves food looks out of her head. Kudos to kuya server who multi task and gets everything customers ask.
First time to try it on a rainy day without the usual crowd. And glad I did because service was efficient!
It's just breakfast, but for some reason, I enjoyed all the dishes I ordered. Parking may be a problem on peak days and times but as mentioned, we had the place all to ourselves that day. So we were able to easily park our car.
And as I finish writing this review, I'm craving for their food again!😝
Highly recommended!

We had trouble finding the place, but all worth it. The concept is simple genius. Whenever I eat here I cant decide which viand I want, and they have an answer to it, you can order just viands, and try them all! Top 3 for me is their honey garlic chicken, tuyo with kesong puti, and tocino! Best part, tomatoes with pesto sauce! #musttry Kanto Restaurant
Comfort food x homey vibe! The first time I went here w my friend, we had New Zealand Beef Tapa for dinner. 😍 Yummm! They also had enough servings to make us full. Will def go back to try the pancakes and waffle & chicken 😊😊😊
Finally got to try this joint! Ambience is very laidback. Feels like you're in an outdoor canteen. Food are reasonably priced. Love that you can build your own breakfast plate here (works for those who can't decide what they want). Their Angus Tapa is their best seller and if you love yourself, please try it. It tastes really good!
Parking is a pain.
This is our favorite breakfast place since it's near our area.
Do get the New Zealand tapa. It is sweet and wet for my taste though but it's soft and tasty.
Our favorites are the choknut champorado, honey garlic chicken and the vigan longaniza.
Went to this branch at 9am on a Saturday morning thinking it would be off-peak hours. Boy were we wrong. The place was packed and there was a short queue. 😂
Service was good despite the number of people in the resto. Ordered the usual NZ Beef Tapa and Vigan Longganisa Kanto Boy breakfast meals with Kapeng Barako. Eggs were cooked perfectly based on our personal preferences (sunny side up and scrambled). Garlic rice was freshly cooked and oh so good! I couldn't figure out how something as simple as garlic rice could be so flavorful and satisfying, but not too strong that would overpower or outshine the main viand. Food was scrumptious and consistent, and our orders were served in under 10 min.
Wanted to eat pancakes but couldn't decide which flavor to pick, and the server suggested the Pancake Platter: 9 mini pancakes with three different flavors! What a deal! 😃 Eventually had to have 2/3 of the pancakes for takeout (we ordered more than we could eat). Left it in the fridge when I got home and totally forgot about it until the next morning. Was pleasantly surprised to find it still very moist and not stiff/crumbly after spending overnight in the refrigerator. I didn't even have to reheat it.
It was our first time to dine here earlier. We ordered their bestseller, the tapa and an ala carte order of their honey garlic chicken. The tapa was so tasty. It was the right mix of sweet and salty. However, I wish thay they cooked the egg better than they did. There was still so much raw egg whites on our meal. The honey garlic chicken was okay. I can definitely taste the honey but very little of the garlic. The serving of the chicken was generous though.
The staff was very polite and the service was fast. I would love to try their pancakes and other specialties on my next visit.
Cozy,. One of the go-to places before u end the night with friends. Their kapitolyo branch is not so accessible, so u gotta find it but i love how they kept the big tree along their entrance
Perfect place for an all-around breakfast place in the midst of the bustling Kapitolyo restaurants. They have a reasonable variety of dishes to choose from. Coffee is great too! Although the proportions of their appetizer pan de sal to the spread was a little off. The latter screamed fat, fat fat! Nonetheless, a Kapitolyo classic and go to place!
The service was friendly and fast. The food was good. The prices were surprisingly affordable and was too fair for the quality of the food. I ordered the tapa and it was a bit rubbery but mostly the flavor was very good. I also tried the eggs benedict and i have only enjoyed CBTL’s eggs benedict until i tried Kanto.
If you crave for filipino kanto foods then you must be in a right place.
The foods are exquisite presented, I enjoyed my every kain session here. Their grilled buttered suman with Ube, white chocolate & goya ganache is my fave!
However, the place is always full and their servings will take you time. But it’s worth the wait 😊
Always a happy tummy whenever we went here for dinner!!! I super love their Tapa and Danggit. I just wished that the food were hot when served but it seems like the food were already cooked hours earlier before it was served to its guests.
Been here a couple of times. Love the food. Ive been bringing my friends here as well for some good silog. What I love most is their selection of eggs.
Had brekky here and the place was sooo rustic and cozy. A lot of people were there already and people keep on coming. It's really a good place to have a home cooked meal feel. Tried their set brekky to make your own brekky; everything was soooo good!!! Had hot choco and tried their 2 best seller desserts as well, taho pana cotta and buko pandan. Will definitely go back to try more. 😋
The place is full packed almost all the time. But I was surprised when we got there last time Wednesday at 12:30 am, our group is the only one there until around 1:00 am when the other groups arrived and the place became crowded which is the usual. Napansin ko lang na walang service charge pag dalawa lang kayo at meron pag group kayo. Nagtaas sila ng presyo pero hindi nabawasan ang serving size pati lasa. Will always give a perfect score.
They offer good food. We liked the champorado very much. I just hope they could uograde their seats with backrest. But overall, I will recommend this place

Their prices have significantly gone up compared to before. But the quality of the food has not changed. The waiters are also now very friendly and attentive, which is a huge improvement. Bacon is expensive though per strip.
I ordered their crispy corned beef with french toast on the side. Filling and good.
A place like home where you can eat your favourite breakfast treat. One of my favourite dish that they are serving is their tocilog and scramble.
Great food for 1/3 the price (compared to most breakfast restaurants).
Open 24/7.
Very attentive staff.
Hopefully they will have the salmon benedict and suman with goya and ube next time so I can finally try it. :)
Only con: people who are smoking should not do it right in front of the gate where the wind blows their 2nd hand smoke inside. :(
Will definitely come back!
Heard a lot of good reviews about Kanto since 2015.... Finally, after 3 attempts, get to visit around 9 in the morning. Was surprised that even that early morning tables were never empty. Ambiance is nice, I didn't expect it to be that cozy considering they dont have AC. The staffs are very accommodating, they got our orders rights. The food was serve on time. All in all, Im soooo satisfied with the food and the service. To my surprise, everything is affordable. Ordered 2 drinks, Eggs Benedict, French Toast with bacon and egg.. lots of additional bacon and another additional 3 pcs pancake. Sounds a lot but we only shed like 600+ for everything.
Kanto Freestyle Breakfast Kapitolyo.
The whole place was spacious enough. It’s actually an open-air restaurant, which makes it a bit warm. It has a cozy interior with hanging bulbs as its light source during evening. The ambience was fine. The staff was quite nice and friendly. However, the service was a bit slow. My friend and I tried their bestseller Honey Garlic Chicken and Spam and Egg. The Chicken was tender and meaty, with great flavors in it. A must-try indeed. The Spam and Egg was nice too. Another good thing was the pricing. Food were a bit cheap and not too pricey.
Being with your co - food blogger during wee hours is such an amazing experience! Having her along the way is almost perfect! I found a true friend with her. Someone that I can be with anywhere where there is food! Kanto Freestyle Breakfast is well recommended be it with your family, friends, workmates etc.
Dinner time, we went here at kanto freestyle new branch in Pasig.
we ordered honey chicken and new zealand beef tapa with 2 boiled eggs.
The chicken is good taste, i liked the chicken skin crunchy and tasteful.
The beef tastes good, generous in amount.
Comes with sliced tomatoes with pesto. Sarap!
Got the honey garlic chicken, it was on the sweet side but it was good! #UglyDelicious The skin was crisp, perfectly complementing the tender meat.
Also got the chocnut champorado. It was warm and comforting. The chocolate tasted rich, not your commercial chocolate mix.
This will be the best thing you will ever have at times of your petsa de peligro. Don’t compromise the taste just because you are on a budget. My favorite on their menu is the chocnut champorado topped with tuyo. It’s amazingly delicious and the rich goya chocolate flavor can really make you feel like eating on a fancy restaurant. I also loved their spam and egg. What’s good about them is they have options on how you want your eggs. I really like it poached and they were able to give me the oozing yolk that i have been wanting ever since. Lastly, I want to commend their pancake. It’s so fluffy and buttery. Perfect pancake for me. All in all, it’s yummy at the price that is affordable and pasok sa budget.
If you’re into breakfast-type of food then this is the place for you. You can customize and add additional orders depending on your preference. The place is okay but clean. Staff are attentive. However, since it’s a open place (parking garage), be careful of the mosquitoes.
First time I came to this place, and I’m surprised on how good the chicken was. Honey garlic chicken here is a must try. You will appreciate good food made on this resto.
Cute and cozy place. Quite small but organized. The servers were accommodating and nice. The prices are cheap. The food is delicious. We tried their honey garlic chicken which tasted really good as well as their iced chocolate which was not that sweet. It was just kind of hard to park.
Update: the one in Makati is more spacious and I’ve tried their Ticino and it was so good!!!

This is a garage converted into a restaurant so do not expect anything fancy :) there is no aircon but there are enough fans to keep you cool. There is always a line here so better come early or later than the usual.

There are a lot servers here who are all attentive. Our service waters are always full ;) They have a simple line queue for those who would like to eat.
They do have a unique style of serving their breakfasts. I already had several meals here and really satisfies my tumny especially when you are hungry. Price is a pricey but you will be served with what you deserved. Their bottomless iced tea was a bit off cause it tastes like sugar.
It was my first time here and the food is great! I ordered Honey Garlic Chicken. It is very tasty and how they present the food is just wow... to think that the price is really affordable.
Crew was attentive and kind. I'll surely visit this again.
Kanto Freestyle's Honey Garlic Chicken will never disappoint you. When you have limited budget and still would want to eat a good meal, this restaurant wins. However, their Oreo cookie butter Pancakes used to be much bigger, it just decreased in size over a few months. Great service and delicious food, always a delightful experience. Keep it up!
Visited this by a recommendation by my colleague.
Location: It's a little hard to find unless of course you search "Best Breakfast in Ortigas" in the website as it's one of the recommended place to have your breakfast. Else, you might have been wandering inside Kapitolyo and happened to see this garage turned "kainan". If you want to find it just go search it in Waze or in the web. Also, please do not expect that it's aircon-ed because it's not.
Food: They serve breakfast meals a combination of Filipino and American. I wasn't able to taste everything but had tapa, danggit, poached egg, and scrambled. The serving for 150 is amazing. I am surprised by how big the serving is because usually tapas in other restaurant are not given generously.
The taste: Hands down on the tapa. I love how they made their tapa, soft and very tasty. However, I think the eggs needs to some improvement.
Overall: I'll be back here. The quality of foods for their price is on-spot.
If you don't mind an al fresco set up this resto is for you. Tucked away in Kapitolyo is a small restaurant that offers really yummy breakfast items. A must try is their New Zealand tapa and their Vigan Longganisa. Their tapa is super tender and so flavorful. The vigan longganisa is nice and garlicky. The service is not the best but you will surely enjoy the food.
Ube White Chocolate Ganache Pancake
After 30 minutes of waiting for our orders to be served, I was pretty happy with the ganache - cream is not too sweet and not too heavy. Please don't expect buttermilk pancake quality but if you're into ube, 95 pesos is worth even with this ganache.
The house converted into a resto is already run down and there is a bit of nasty smell near the gate/waiting area.
Well, for any mundane time this place is well and better for anyone. Again, living around Kapitolyo, the first time my friend introduced me to this place was rather surprising. I’m immediately impressed because the first dish I wanted were bacon and eggs and they are there. I’m particularly a breakfast-type of person. Living on my own, or with others (parents, siblings, not yet with friends), I prepare meals in the morning enthusiastically to either brighten my day or boast my learned dishes to them.
The menu is rather simple. Quite packed but just fine. This place is a cross between American and Filipino breakfast dishes, but I would say it’s around 80% Filipino. Things like, bacon or pancakes gives you the gist. I’m just a sucker for bacon, so I was instantly enthralled when they served one and I’m glad the quality satisfied me for a reasonable price. There’s the usual items you’ll find but I suggest you try their to tell the difference from others. I’m not fond though of their coffee. Mcdonald’s taste better in my opinion. For a reasonable 150php you can have a reasonable breakfast meal. But I’m lying if this isn’t pricey. The place tells something. The service is good. Throughout my repeated dining experience the crew a plentiful so calling their attention isn’t a difficulty. The place is rather fine. You can’t really blame the ambiance akin to an open, public dining place, and I you could at least appease yourself from the Company of people who basically just mind their own business.
Kanto Freestyle Breakfast is rather a guilt trip for me sometimes. Whenever I feel so lazy whenever I’m so stressed at work that preparing breakfast for myself is a miracle, I’ll skip a few minutes to sit by this place and indulge myself for a good all breakfast.
Oh by the way, there’s this certain dish only available on Eastwood branch, which I can tell is already closed, so I’m not sure where it is specifically offered nowadays. I forgot its name but it has pork and beans, fried pork belly (almost like lechon kawali, but I guess that was it, LOL), pesto sprinkled fresh tomatoes, fried eggs (your choice of scrambled or sunny side up) and a good helping of garlic rice. It was satisfying. I can’t simulate the experience on my own but the quality of their fried pork blended with the pork and beans was just surprisingly good. I didn’t know this two could go well together! I don’t know maybe it’s just me.
