They were very attentive and accommodating. and they really extended their assistance to help us out when we left our stuff.
It’s okay. Nothing too special with the ambiance. Drinks are fantastic. Definitely get the sangria! Will be worth your money. Love the tita music!
Always a good time in Moonshine! Food is sinful but amazing and delicious. All my visits were pleasant as expected. Will definitely continue recommending the place and will def keep coming back.
Whenever I hear the word “moonshine” I only can think about the highly prohibited clear unaged whiskey. And to be honest, I’ve always wanted to try it as I am a whiskey person more than any other liquor. I heard it’s too strong and not for lightweights like me, still, I wanna try at least once in my life. I have asked one of my friends from the US to bring me home one hopefully she won’t forget. Haha!
Recently, Chef Jehrad Dolino of Moonshine PUB updated their menu and presented the latest dishes that both loyal and new customers will love. The theme of the new dishes focused on Reimagined Filipino Food that the restaurant is known for. And having tried these new dishes myself, I must say, Moonshine PUB doesn’t disappoint.
A modern twist on amazing Filipino dishes! Moonshine PUB, Ortigas offers their newest inclusions on their 2019 menu. I personally love the "Adobo" and "Palabok". Yet everything taste good as well. Their chef made a unique twist in every dishes that made it modern while still reminding you of your favorite Filipino comfort food. The restaurant is also open if you want to drink some beers or wines. They have 2-level restaurants that fits up to 300 guests. In that case you and your group can enjoy the whole place so much! This is a perfect place to chill after work and if you want to unwind. Together with their delicious and mouth-watering food you'll enjoy the "chill" vibes of the whole restaurant. ♥
The place is usually jam packed even on a weekday night. Been here twice and always seated at the bar area (didn’t mind it though). Servers were nice, food was good, and the price is reasonably enough. It is a great place to chill after a long tiring day.

Look back on your favorite homespun food, the ones that your mom or lola used to cook for the family during special occasions.
Now imagine them with a fresh twist, a little change that makes them keep the nostalgia that you harbor for them but, at the same time, gives them a new dimension that gets you so giddy with excitement for a taste of something new.
That is what Chef Jehrad Dolino achieved when he unveiled his latest creations of reimagined Filipino food for Moonshine PUB.
we had a team midnight dinner at this place and it was awesome!!! their angus beef sisig and aligue wings are worth every peso! we didn't like the adobo nachos much. all their cocktails were great too! will definitely come back!
Probably can blindfold yourself and pick anything on the menu and still be satisfied. Would recommend trying the JFC, Salpicao and chicken skewers! Love the vibe and atmosphere of the place.
Super duper friendly and attentive staff! Even the management were super flexible in terms of our reservation requests. So if you are dining with groups, this is the best choice in the area. Food selection is better. Every thing that we ordered from finger food to drinks were all to die for except for one! Adobo Nachos. It must be eaten right away or else chunks of oil will appear if it gets cold and it's not appetizing. That's all. Will be back here for another dinner with few friends next time.
Been here twice already. During our first visit we drank Hazelnut and Green Apple beer, both of which are very delicious. Haven't tried the other options for flavored beer yet but we definitely loved (and would recommend) drinking their flavored beers.
During our second visit we tried their Triple Garlic Salpicao for dinner and Lechon Bulaklak as a pulutan. We couldn't stop munching on the bulaklak, it was seriously to die for. Would definitely recommend. The salpicao paired nicely with plain rice. A cup of rice was enough to individually make us feel really full. And we ordered 3 cups, too. We were already tipsy from the amount of food entering our system even before we got to our drinks.
Speaking of drinks, we had buy 1 take 1 pale pilsen that tasted fresh as hell and a cocktail called Grape Hooch which literally changed our perspective of cocktails. We're beer lovers and not really big fans of cocktails. As much as possible we steer away from mixed alcohol and just drink anything beer-related, but Grape Hooch is a game changer; a definite "promise itaga mo pa sa bato" must try when you go to Moonshine.
Overall, ambiance was very nice. The food we ordered was top notch. Drinks were top notch as well. Service was average but everything else was beyond our expectation. Would definitely dine here again.
A good place for a group of people to dine in, because the menu has a variety of food options. The menu says the vegetarian pizza has arugula toppings, but ours had lettuce instead. Not a big deal, but I wish their staff just gave us a heads-up.
Love all their Filipino food, from Danngit , Sisif, Bangus and Lechon kawali has large servings. Hehe. Drinks at night is recommended also. Definitely a must try specially on Wednesday lady’s night out !
Good Food for a pork belly / anything crispy lover like me... good ambiance as well, perf for chill night out, and it’s also nearby in the office.
Generally, it is a good place to hang out with friends. Food is quite good also. We ordered the following:
Pork Adobo Nachos - I have eaten better nachos but this one is good enough especially for its size. It is massive so it is good for sharing.
Pepperoni Kick - I like this one. The potato strings and spicy aoli worked for me.
Krispy Kare Kare - I love kare-kare. This one is good but would have been better if there is more sauce. It is too thick for me.
Glazed Bangus with Ensaladang Mangga - This is one of their best seller. I like it but it is not boneless so that did not work for me.
Crispy Pork Belly - You can never get wrong with a crispy pork belly with a vinegar.
Drinks - We also tried their cocktails. The mango mojito is so good! Zomato gold members get to availa 2+2 on drinks.
Ambiance - As I said, it is great hang out place for friends.
Service - Servers were a bit slow. You had to ask several times just to get a water refill.
All in all, I will definitely go back.

Foods, drinks, ambience and service were all GREAT! We will surely be back with our friends. (Just be mindful about the parking rates around the street. We paid Php250 for 4hours)
The food is to die for. Drinks classy and not the cheap version, i know my liqour. But the best is the people; the staff are our friends, and constant customers are starting to be friends as well. Great place to chill and bond.
It’s my first lunch out with my new team and it’s my first time eating meals in Moonshine so this visit was a little special. We got a variety of dishes but I only got to take a photo of one and take note of a few.
Crispy Kare-Kare (Php 650)
Their version of kare-kare was deconstructed which was interesting and a lot less messy to eat. The meat was tender and the skin was really crispy.
Fried Tawilis (Php 195)
It was super tasty (not so salty), crunchy and goes really well with steamed rice.
Glazed Bangus (Php 450)
Not sure if I got the glazed part of this but it just looked like ordinary fried bangus to me.
Crispy Pork Belly (Php 650)
Similar to the Crispy Kare-Kare, the meat and skin were good. I also liked the bbq sauce that went with it. It adds a sweet salty flavor to the meat.
——
My officemates had an impromptu dinner and drinks out on a weekday because why not? We ordered a lot because we were unexpectedly hungry. Hehe.
🥓 The Bacon Stack - 350
Their bacon is the crispy, salty kind which makes you want to order rice. Its saltiness makes it a good beer partner, too!
🍗 Fried Chicken n Mojos - 290
If you did not read the menu thoroughly, you might be surprised to see chicken nuggets and not the bone-in fried chicken. I liked that the chicken is juicy and not that salty. The mojos were just okay.
🍟 Truffle Fries - 280
This was an accidental order because the waiter misheard our officemate when he ordered for rice. The fries smelled like truffle but the taste of truffle was just a hint.
🍕 Pork Floss and Salted Egg Pizza - 430
One of a kind pizza indeed. It’s my first time seeing salted egg on pizza so this dish intrigued me. I like how the pork floss was tasty despite having very thin slices on top. I also appreciated the salted egg because the taste does not overpower the whole pizza.

On a Thursday! Food was cray! Lechon was crispy with 3 dips to check for your buds.. Aligue wings was sweet and with a kick. Fried chicken and mojos were legit esp when paired with Beer. And a must have: Angus Beef Sisig to cap everything. Its an A+ for the food. Às for the drinks, let go of everything and take that hand granade 😁it was all G... But then they have Zomato Gold buy 2 take 2 drinks. Just elevated to A++
Vibe: hip hop music 💯
We all ordered moonshine lemonade because it tastes so good but it’s actually quite potent. Only downside of our visit was their nachos- it seemed appealing due to its Filipino twist but it didn’t live up to our expectations
It was our first time to have lunch in Moonshine since we usually just go here for drinks. Surprisingly, their food is really good ... the angus beef sisig is definitely a must try! We also ordered lechon bulaklak, smoked kilawin (also a must try), fried tawilis, crispy kare-kare and glazed bangus. We will definitely go back but we hope that they improve on their speed of service and have zomato gold 1+1 on food as well. 😊
Ordered cocktails and availed of the 2+2 promo drinks promo which was really sulit!! Service is also a plus. Will come back for sure and try the other cocktails.
It was my first time to use my gold membership. Was able to avail the 2+2 drinks, offer is valid for shakes and beers. Enjoyed our dinner. We ordered beef sinigang, tawilis, bagnet tokwa, pepperoni pizza, salpicao and beef tacos, food were tasty. Beef was tender. Servers are also welcoming and attentive.
Great food and ambiance. The truffle fries are perfect to have with a double shot of single malt whiskey. If you're looking for a good and chill place to drink, this should definitely be one of your options. Can't wait for my next visit.
Food was really good. Got their beef tacos, was super flavorful with a nice punch of spices.
The signature cocktail I got (The Martel!) was very refreshing.
Service was fast too! While the ambiance is perfect for a chill night out drinking.
Went during peak hour, a month after our first visit. They changed their 2+2 on drink. Only beer and signature cocktails are 2+2 drinks.
I loved my dinner and drinks meet up with some friends here. The staff were very attentive, despite the full house, and the food is so delish.
I really enjoyed their Whiskey Sour and my friend enjoyed her Red Sangria.
Prices are just right and the portions just enough to feel full. When I got back to Ortigas, I'll definitely come here again.
#tisoleary #olearysnaps
Food is ok, their pizza is great, hopefully the pork in the nachos are more crispy, chicken with crab fat is okay too. prices of drinks average but a wee
bit more expensive than usual.
One of my favorite watering holes in Ortigas! Pulitan is awesome (fried chicken, truffle fries, pizza to name a few), and their cocktails are quite enjoyable and packs a punch.
food was great.
meals are well priced
good for groups
cool ambiance
staff were great.
will definitely visit again
recommendable
good place to chill
Came here with cousins during happy hour. Definitely a great place to end my trip!
We were seated on the patio because it was full inside. We ordered a few cocktails, truffle fries, and bacon chicharon.
I had the watermelon jungle juice and some of the fries and chicharon. All were delicious! Salty + sweet is always a great combination. The drink was so refreshing. The bacon and fries were so good and bad but in all the right ways.
Hopefully I can come back on my next visit to try more food!
Moonshine is a go-to drinking place for yuppies who work around the Ortigas Business District. The big surprise here is not juat with the selection of liquor and the tap beer, but the great food!
Sank my teeth in some Truffle Fries in Cream Sauce, and it made to be a perfect opener for their cheese burger! With different cheeses that just blended so well together. Would have loved for the patty to be more generously seasoned, though. Also get your hands on the chicken skewers -- legit stuff.
This is our favourite to go place since they opened in Bel-Air. Pizza, nachos and cocktails are great and...chicharon bulaklak too!!! I just love this place. I am glad it opened a branch in Ortigas.
Moonshine ✨
If you're a fan of flavored beer then this is the place for you!
I'm a regular at moonshine because they have the best caramel & hazelnut beer! The price is worth it for their 1 liter beer (also you can request for an additional shot of their caramel or hazelnut flavor for free)
Foodwise, their food's perfectly cooked. Their burger is juicy and huge in proportion and I would also recommend their adobo flavored nacho (good for 3-5) it's one of our go-to "pulutan"
The employees are friendly & attentive, you would enjoy spending time here with your friends & family.
Ambiance has a chill vibe and it's not too crowded and most of the customers are around their late 20's-40's so it's safe to say that you could have a decent dinner and conversation without much noise.
Their location's near a parking area so there's no trouble in finding a parking spot, very accessible.
FILIPINO FOOD WITH A TWIST!! 😋
My friends and I had our late lunch here before christmas of last year. We didn't expect much since we booked our reservation thru a third party app and dined with 50% discount. 🤗
We were a group of 5 and we ordered the following:
✔Crispy Pork Humba - 4.5/5 (More like Crispy Pata)
✔Aligue Wings - 4/5 (It's too sweet for me)
✔Beef Sinigang - 5/5 (BEST SINIGANG I HAVE EVER HAD!!)
✔Smoked Kinilaw - 5/5
We thought our orders were just enough but we were surprised with their generous serving and it turned out that we ordered more than enough! Good thing we all skipped our lunch that time and we managed to eat everything without any leftovers. 😄
We will definitely be coming back for more! 💖
A sure place for having fun!
This is my go-to place whenever I want to enjoy good food and booze without too much disturbance. I even celebrated my birthday here few months ago with close people I know because I’m so sure that this place can cover everything I want every time I feel the need to just chill.
“Love-at-first-try” with them started when we had their Truffle Fries and their Caramel Beer. Trying some of their offerings from time to time too and still haven’t got anything that would make me love them any lesser.
Really satisfied customer here.
EDIT: Truffle Fries and their vodka mixes were the ones that made us say “yes” to this bar. Next visit we tried Caramel Beer.
I dont know if I am imagining things but the quality of the food seems to have gone down. Food was still alright, but not as enjoyable as a few months ago.
We ate here together for the first time and ordered some of my favorites,JFC and the truffle mac and cheese. They were still quite good but I seem to recall them being better. Maybe this was just a subpar batch. Still solid overall.
Good bar for drinking, bar chow and chilling out!
The normal collection of drinks of all kinds. Priced decently.
Only snack we tried was the Truffle Fries, which were good.
Friendly service.
Had their Watermelon Danggit Salad (P270) and their Roasted Salmon (P570) while taking a break for our shoot. I liked how the salmon was roasted perfectly and topped with cheese without any freezer after taste, the wedges, beans and cherry tomatoes were wonderful additions. The Watermelon Danggit was a unique salad that surprised me by liking it so much. The combination of watermelon, white cheese and calamansi vinaigrette was an explosion of different flavors that complement each other.
Returned here for some drinks and I gotta say that their caramel beer is far better than other bars. They also offer a wide variety of liquor and good cocktails. Their juices are freshly made and ripe.
Food 4.5/5- Food was great! would come back for more
Service 4/5- Service was prompt and attentive with water refills and tissue cos my model spilled her drink. lol
Price 4/5- For a restobar it's fairly priced for the quality.
Ambiance - I liked how it's both chill in the afternoons and a bit rowdy at night.
Moonshine Pub is one of the resto in Sapphire Bloc, just few walk from our workplace. Its been there for over a year, and its my first time last week. They served Filipino dishes with a twist. And its surprisingly good! We are a group of 5, and for lunch we had:
Fresh Tawilis (P195) lightly fried until crispy with bagoong & vinegar sauce
Crispy kare-kare (P650)crispy pork with native veggies in rich peanut based sauce
Glazed Bangus with Enseladang Manga (P390) super big boneless milkfish wotj pickled mangoes.
Verdict: Great place for lunch esp when you're a group. Generous serving plus its really good. Their Kare-Kare is so yummy! Reasonably priced and they have attentive servers
Good food and nice place...you can book online and they keep your place ready despite others looking for a table.............................
I had the beef sisig bowl. I would say that it was a bit too salty but then I figured, hey, this is a pub afterall; meaning beer should match this meal. With that, the fact that the "intensity" of flavors was considered for the meals in this place makes them worthy of a two-thumbs up. Proportion-wise, just right. I almost finished the rice in the bowl and I don't always eat rice, mind you. 😅 Same probably goes for the angus beef tapsilog that my colleague had. For sharing, the JFC was good for us four, sakto lang. With the taste, I'd say that it would not disappoint to save words. 💯 Lastly, the crispy pork belly was succulent, plus the sauces? You would forget you're in a diet. 😂
Crew was also warm to welcome you for whatever you need. 😊
One of my favorite places in my neighborhood. good food, and the best cocktails. the music and vibe is amazing, perfect for after work hangouts.
Great place for chill hangout with friends. This place does not only offer good drinks, their food is surprisingly good too.
What to order: angus beef sisig, pork adobo nachos, aligue wings, caramel and hazelnut flavored beer, sangria
THE MOONSHINE LEMONADE IS SO STRONG, but sosososo yummy! You have been warned!!! Go here with your barkada to pre-game (or end-game, if you order more than one of their powerful, amats inducing signature cocktails)
PS, their Truffle Mac and Cheese is also really good. I was pleasantly surprised.
My friend suggested this resto bar for a few drinks. I ordered Fresh Kick (Php220) it's a refreshing alcoholic drink. Didn't realize cucumber worked well alcohol.
For pulutan:
Crispy Drunk Crablets (Php270) - a must try! Don't forget to dip it in vinegar
Fried Tawilis (Php195) - not bad. Salty picapica
Nice staff too!
The serving is really generous. The price is reasonable as well. Everything is for sharing. Personal favourite are nachos, and the ribs. The flavour of the ribs is close to Canto. 💕
I am rare in the ortigas cbd area but when I do, the Sapphire bloc has all the good restos that I plan to try. One example is this pub that has a mezzanine above. Got myself a cold blue moon that quenched my thirst on a humid Friday afternoon of viewing office spaces. Like the layout and setup maybe next time I may have to try their food options for a change.
Moonshine is a greate venue for meet ups with friends. Good food, good drinks and nice ambiance. My favorite dishes are the pork adobo nachos, truffle mac n cheese and the lamb shank kaldereta.
Early bird, while waiting for the Birthday Celebrant at Moonshine P.U.B. x Public Urban Bar in Ortigas Center (At the back of Marco Polo Hotel) we tried their signature cocktails Black Horse (a bit of everything you like) and Jungle Juice (watermelon, cucumber, lime and gin) for Php190.00 each. Both of them have a strong kick. Our cocktails were paired with Lechon Bulaklak (Chicharon meets the flavor of Lechon) for Php300.00 and Beef Tacos (Tender Marinated Beef, Soft Tortilla, Tomato Salsa, Jalapeño Sauce) for Php350.00. 🌮
Full-house on Saturday night but the servers were very skilled and trained to be alert all the time. 🙌🏼
I like also the set-up and interior of Moonshine P.U.B. The neutral and dark colors combined with the concrete and glass wall of the Public Urban Bar looks elegant. 👍🏼
When the Birthday Celebrant arrived, he was greeted with a Blow Job with small fireworks at the side courtesy of the amazing staff of Moonshine P.U.B. and a Happy Birthday Chocnut Cheesecake (I like the ice cream cake). Then he ordered dozens of beers and plenty of "pulutan" for all us like the 2 orders of Pork Adobo Nachos (Adobo Pulled Pork, Adobo Sauce, Mozarella Cheese) for Php430.00 each and 2 orders Angus Beef Sisig (Garlic Mayonaise, Sunny Side Egg, Pork Chicharon) for Php390.00. 🐮🐷
We enjoyed the night with '90s and 2000s dance music of Moonshine P.U.B. even though the speaker outside need to be replace with a new one. 🎉🎂
Jungle Juice - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
Black Horse - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
Lechon Bulaklak - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
Beef Tacos - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
Chocnut Cheesecake - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
Pork Adobo Nachos - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5
Angus Beef Sisig - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
#ilovetoeat 😃❤️
Service here was excellent coming back for sure soon. medyo mausok lang kase pede magyosi but all in all okay naman sya elling to all my friends na try this one ....two thumbs up
An excellent place to get drinks and bar chow! They have very nice cocktails. We tried the grape hooch (very nice), mango mojito and the jungle juice. We also tried three dishes which were a tad oily but definitely yummy and has a modern twist and not the usual bar chow. We had to take a table upstairs with a per person minimum of php1000 spending but it was worth it. What i didn’t like was how they allowed smoking inside the restaurant. I am not against smoking but smoking inside just ruins the ambiance and the whole place in general.
Love, love, love this place! Some of the drinks are fruity but strong, always leaving you happy and buzzed. I guess I'm particularly biased towards this place due to fond memories, but do give it a visit! I recommend Jungle Juice for a sweet, watermelon-y drink, Dark Horse if you're not particular about what exactly you're drinking, and of course, the Hand Grenade for those adventurous folks.
When I do go here, drinking is the favored option.... so I'm quite clueless about their food, aside from the pica picas, which were okay.
Love this place!
Must-try are the bagoong rice, tawilis, and my personal favorite kinilaw. Of course, their own drink concoctions are also must-tries! Everything was just so good! Quite expensive, but surely worth it!
Kudos to the chefs and owners! 👍🏻👍🏻 We'll be back!
If you want a chill drinking session with a friend or a hubby, I'd recommend moonshine. The food is amazing and it's conveniently located at the heart of Ortigas. You'll see yuppies frolicking around the area around 7-11pm but the busyness of Sapphire bloc doesn't hinder the cozy heart to heart talks you have with your friends. The only downside is the place is the not so budget friendly price but if you have a money to spend this place is definitely a must. Try the Tokwa't bagnet belly and jungle juice.
Went here with acquaintances.
The place is relatively neat, but do book a reservation in advance or you will be seated outside.
I had their Ohgolly burger, which was a good medium rare with just the perfect cheese and mushrooms, albeit being soggy. Their Mac and Cheese had a good truffle flavor, but was too watery.
The food here is relatively expensive, but hey, they have big beer serving sizes with different flavors if you're looking to get drunk.
Good cocktails and okay selection of beers. I love their aligue wings, any chicken dish, and cheese pizza. The cheese burger was also sumptuous! Hack: if you're by yourself or with just one to two friends, sit at the bar. The baristas are super nice, they'd let you try drinks and mixed shots to get reviews of their experiments!
Ah! The hunt for the best chicken in town. We went here to try their JFC (boneless chicken) and we were not disappointed. It was so good! Super juicy and tasty but I had to stop myself from overeating because we also had their mashed potato and rice (hi carbs!). Now we know why their chicken was listed in the Top 10.
Also got their aligue wings and if not for the name, I wouldn't have known that there was aligue in there and would have eaten more (beware of highblood!). Don't get me wrong, it was really delicious, but you know how aligue works right? 😉
My officemates and I had Friday lunchout here at Moonshine. It was my first time to eat here, and I was "kilig" the whole time!
We ordered the Truffle Mac N' Cheese, Naughty Vegetarian Pizza, Pork Floss and Salted Egg Pizza, Crispy Pork Belly, Fried Chicken and Mojos, Sriracha Chicken Skewers, and 4 cups of rice. We were 8 diners in total and were filled to the brim with this delicious spread!😳
My favorites were the Truffle Mac N' Cheese and the Naughty Vegetarian Pizza--a perfect match. The Sriracha Chicken was also very flavorful, as you can never go wrong with sriracha 😊 The rest were quite sinful, but what the hey, it was Friday anyway 😉
Service was a tad slow, but altogether manageable. Ambiance was very relaxing and fun; they had a wall that said "Smile, there's wine." I'm holding on to that promise in my next visit 😂
We ordered the aligue wings, salted egg pizza, and nachos. All three are great tasting dishes... so great that we ordered a second and third round of those!
Hit this place for a hearty meal or better yet to wind down from a long day. Pub atmosphere - bricks, black marvel and pinewood. Music to set the mood. Extensive menu - notably the Lechon Bulaklak which is pretty darn good. So this bar chow, Pinoy food and Americana all in one. Also the extensive bar list and a wide range of inventive juice and fruit cocktails renders thirst inconceivable in this joint. Ortigas is growing up.
🐽 Food: Ate with 3 other friends and decided to order Pepperoni Pizza, Chicharon Bulaklak and Mac & Cheese. Everything was very yunmy! Our friends who followed tried the Chicken Salad, Beef Sisig and Truffle Fries. They also enjoyed their meals.
🍹 Drinks: Nothing beats their Mango Mojito! Cheaper if you order their carafe. Per glass is sold at Php 250. During happy hour, it's buy 1 get the next 50% off.
🍴Ambiance: Very steady place to have after work dinner and drinks. Music is also good. Love the different light bulbs too.
👫 Service: Sometimes the servers seem to pretend that they don't see you when you try calling them. Our bill also took awhile to arrive. Had to ask for it twice. Food was served on time though.
💸 Price: Very much worth it as their food is for sharing. Spent only Php 500 each and we were 4.
My friends and I went to have drinks here a few days ago.
For drinks, we had a Beer Crate and a carafe of Mango Mojito. For bar chow, we ordered the Fried Chicken n Mojos and Truffle Fries.
I loved the Mango Mojitos but I was more impressed with the bar chows we ordered. The Truffle Fries and the Fried Chicken N Mojos are both amazingly delicious.
The drinks and food and both impressive and the location is ideal for me. I highly suggest that you sit outside because the music was too loud inside that even the staff couldn't hear us. Prices are reasonable though so I will go back here soon.
Finally, Ortigas has a good drinking hole!!! Great atmosphere, especially if you sit al fresco (it's quite breezy and fresh). Best pulutan are the chicken n' mojos or the liempo. Will try the other dishes soon, as I live around the corner. My friend said the truffle macaroni cheese was superb. A little too hipster in terms of presentation (I've had my fill of this living in Toronto) with the mason jars, beer bottles in crates, etc. (please use proper buckets next time so the beers can get colder faster because you can actually fill it with ice) but the food, especially the Filipino-inspired dishes, is tasty.
Cousins meet up in the Ortigas area was supposed to be in another place but they were closed for a Christmas party. When we asked the others what they wanted to do, we were on the same wavelength. We wanted to Eat and Drink. So my sister suggested Moonshine.
On the table
🔹6-Hour Onion Soup - I wanted something hot and steamy since I was feeling under the weather. There were more onions than soup so I was bitin on the liquid but it tasted real good.
🔹Sriracha Chicken Skewers - a bit sweet so I just had a bite
🔹Pork Adobo Nachos - Interesting mix of flavors but not something I would order again. It was a huge serving and it became soggy when it got cold.
🔹The Bacon Stack - who doesn't love BACON!!!
🔹Truffle Mac n Cheese - pure love
🔹Cheese, Cheese, Cheese Pizza - the cousins loved this. We just had to order a pizza since we could see one being made every couple of minutes. We were seated right beside the kitchen window.
It was pretty airy in the area where we were seated so we didn't mind not being inside. What we did kinda mind was the loud music blaring from the speakers competing with the live band at the other establishment nearby. I feel old hahaha. It was challenging to talk with all the noise.
Despite this, the Bacon Stack and Truffle Mac n cheese combo is the bomb and the main reasons for a return visit.
*valet parking available
**common restroom shared by guests from other restaurants
I like the idea of barrels as tables, no legroom though. First order of business - beer must be COLD: check!
Second order of business - food is served HOT: check! (Took a little while though, but worth the wait)
Rate of 3.5 only cos waiter at the front gave impression that we are not welcome.

Situated at the heart of Ortigas is this wonderful place for catchup with friends. Beautiful crowd consists mostly of young professionals. Went here initially for Jim Beam x Coke and beer but ended up with lots of food as my friend turned out to know one of the owners (Yay for free food!). Sorry I wasn't able to take photos of the interiors but I assure you it's nice. Staff were great too!
Truffle Fries - I'm a sucker for anything truffle so my opinion could be clouded. I say this is damn good but a bit too pricey.
Bacon Stack - I don't eat pork but my friends said they're crispy and awesome.
Tokwa'y Bagnet Belly - Hmm. I'd say it's just what it is, ony tried the tofu which is fried to perfection. The sauce that came with it was good as well!
Sriracha Chicken Skewers - Lol sorry I don't eat chicken but my friends liked this.
Can't say anything negative except maybe for the steep prices. And oh, the food were presented nicely! Finding parking could be a pain in the ass though. I shall return for Happy Hour!
The concept's quite great. I love the few unique pieces they have on the lot like this light fixture on top of the table we dined in.
If you're out in town and you want to find very special drinks that are priced reasonably, then Moonshine is your best bet in Ortigas.
The signature cocktails are really good. We got the dark horse, the lumber jack, and the grape hooch. They were smooth but packed a punch, just the way I like them. For munchies, we got the fried chicken nuggets and mojos, and the fatty fries (lechon kawali with fries). Yum!
I love the mojos potatoes! The chicken fingers are ok, nothing really special. Simple chicken fingers. The burger with brioche bun is not bad too, the patty is a bit raw but i guess that's how they cook it. I was expecting more with the burger coz of it's price. The juice though is nice! I love the dalandan it's so refreshing! The ambiance is really nice, i love the interiors.
We came here on a friday night and the dj was playing 90's and early 2000 music. It was so awesome. We had two serving of the pork adobo nachos coz it was so good and the pepperoni pizza. My favorite was the CARAMEL BEER! I dont usually drink beer but this one is really tasty. It will leave you asking for more. I had 2L. Haha 😜 will come back fo sure.
It's my second time to visit this place and I am still satisfied. Even the Chinese and Malaysian foodie suppliers we've brought here commented that the food tastes great. The Malaysian visitor is even a food blogger in his own country and I know he is very critical with flavors, taste and presentation. We'll he loved the food.
I myself enjoy the relaxed but stylish vibe of this urban pub. I would say price is reasonable. Our favorite is the Tokwa't Bagnet belly. I can have it anytime!! If only I'm not worried of rising cholesterol levels! But definitely a must-try.
I would also recommend the JFC boneless fried chicken steak with gravy, mashed potato and coleslaw. Chicken is just so juicy and flavorful. Big servings too!
Good flavors, good serving size, relaxed vibe, reasonable price. Good job!
All the hype about Moonshine made sense after my second stop. I got to try more of their good value and delectable dishes. I like the Bolognese most even if the noodles were tough. The skewers is a must try for only Php 280.
