Authentic Chinese food! Loved everything we ordered! Awesome food, fantastic service.
Place is just too small for the number of people dining. You have to wait in line to get a table. Much more, trying to get a parking spot is a challenge.
My husband saw this restaurant and it looks so unique that’s why he brough us to dine here. First time to try chinese philippino dish and I quite like it. Great range of variety with decent price. They have small size portion so you can order many kinds of food.
I've been dining here for a long time and it has always been consistent. It's hard to call the attention of the staff and service is slow but the food is always great that's why we keep coming back. I recommend the shrimp balls and steamed fish with soy sauce.
Held our grandmothers 80th bday here. Foods actually nice except sa pata tim and chicken that we ordered, its kind of bland. Some table cloths have stains before the event started.
We pass by this place often. It was only recently that we decided to try Comida China. The place is big, with rooms for private parties and meetings. The front portion is where the diners are usually seated. We ordered the Sweet and Sour Pork, Lumpiang Shanghai, and the Chow Mein. Serving sizes are Poquito, Small, Medium, and Large. Food was served hot. The taste was very good. Servers were polite and fast. Pricing is very good as there are serving sizes to match group sizes and price points.
The place is perfect for family gatherings and special events like baptismal celebrations and birthdays. Upon entering, there is a spacious dining area with wide hallways, and function rooms that can house a large number of guests. In true family style fashion, there are kids afoot, and multiple generations dining on the same table.
The wait staff are fairly attentive and courteous, ambiance upscale Old Manila.
Now to the food!
Great options: The BUCHI. Wow. Start and end your meal with these delicious, freshly cooked light and fluffy balls of dough covered with crispy sesame seeds and filled with an almost creamy bean paste filling. Truly unlike any other buchi I've tasted. Even my children enjoyed it, calling it the best buchi they've had in their life!
Also the pancit - simple, homemade style, but with a mildly flavoured almost gelatinous sauce that was reminiscent of bird's nest soup. The vegetables were super crisp!
The fried rice had perfect loose grains and a perfect ratio of vegetables that complemented every other dish on the table - plus it was not greasy at all!
Sweet and sour fish looked heavily breaded, but wasn't. It was a seamless bite from coating to the fish meat inside, which held its own to the sauce and uber crunchy veggies.
Chinese style fried chicken were moist and tender pieces of chicken cooked with Chinese spices. Great with rice and the accompanying dipping sauce.
Just okay: The Chinese Asado, usually the piece de resistance in these types of dining establishments, was flavorful but lacked juiciness.
The crab and corn soup was simple but hearty, and a tad too mild flavored for my taste.
The lumpia was super crispy but in terms of flavor was just ok. Not bad, but nothing special, either. Great with the dipping sauce, though.
The beef and vegetables were tasty and veggies cooked perfect.
All in all, a Sunday family dinner type of place I wouldn't mind returning to, if only for those heavenly pieces of buchi.

This could be part of my top list if not the distance to our place. Favorite are the prawn balls, they have generous servings of shrimp not just flour and batter! Their buchi is also good. Try to come early as parking can be a problem
Absolutely loved this place! Our server was very kind and attentive. The place looks well maintained. The food is great! Even their soup! If you’re just out on a date, the poquito orders are enough for a couple. Great great Chinese food.
I love their Yang Chow Fried Rice, it is one of the best we've ever tried. They did not scrimp on the ingredients. I could eat only this and be really satisfied 😍 All other dishes are tasty and the price is reasonable.
Service is fast, order foods came in at reasonable time. Parking might be limited especially if there are events in their function rooms.
Each time we visit this restaurant it never fails to satisfy. We will definitely come back :)

Tucked in a corner of C5, this huge Chinese restaurant is a very nice place. Food quality and serving is good. They have function rooms or special occasions too
My boyfriend and I love this resto not only for the sumptuous food they serve but also for their great service . Whenever we dine here the staff who attend to us are usually nice, polite and attentive.
We super love their Comida Soup, yangchow rice steamed lapu lapu and green onion siomai. This place always reminds me of good food and good time!

our favorite resto since i was a kid..it was named then panciteria san jacinto located at binondo. my lawyer grandfather and grandmother usually takes us there, as time passes by, after some years it was closed and moved in delra quezon ave and now renamed comida china de manila..camaron rebosado with ham or pancit canton, and our favorite "halo" consists of chinese cold cuts with their signature sauce (2 kinds) with a kick..surely we will keep coming back despite of its distance..
We had lunch with my (Kat) family one Sunday afternoon after hearing mass. We wanted to eat some Chinese food so we headed out to one of our go-to Chinese Restaurants!

PLACE - 4.5
The place was packed with people especially during weekends. Given that, the management still ensures the cleanliness of their restaurants! The place offer rooms for large gatherings as well!
PEOLE - 4
The staff were all so nice! They were friendly and accommodating! However, some were not knowledgeable about certain dishes when asked.
FOOD - 4.5
1. Shang- Hai
This so far is my favorite Shang-Hai! The meat is cooked well and is also wrapped and fried perfectly! Hey! I you love shang- hai try this! -K
2. Sweet Corn Soup
One order can serve up to 5 people. The soup tastes sweet because of the corn but is balanced by the other ingredients such as the quail eggs. Goes well with all the other dishes we ordered.
3. Sefood Comida China Chow Mein
Something for the noodle lovers out there! This particular dish contains all vegetables which is perfect for people who wants to choose a healthier option!
4. Yang Chow Fried Rice
One order serves 3-5 people. It’s the typical yang chow rice that you could order. It goes well with the dishes we ordered especially the Shang Hai!
Do we recommend? Yes we do!!! Something for the Chinese food lovers out there! 😊
P.S. Please try their Shang Hai 😋

We had our civil wedding here. Their package is very affordable, their staff are friendly and accommodating, the restaurant’s interior is elegant, and they have tasty dishes and large servings. There was just a dish which I did not like but overall, I love the restaurant! I highly refer!
This is our family's usual eating place if there is a family event.
The ambiance is nice. Staff are very accomodating...
Their food? we all love it. we usually order their pansit, fried chicken and everyones favorite, shrimp ball & buchi. :-)
What we just that the food will be serve quicker.
but overall, its a good experience everytine we go here...
Always a favorite. I think what I like most about Comida China is the serving size, ranging from Poquito to servings to share. It’s especially hard to dine at most Chinese restaurants when you’re solo or just a couple because you normally can’t order several dishes due to its family serving sizes.
We always get the lechon, camaron, pancit, shanghai, beef with broccoli, crab foo yong and yang chow. They have great (brewed) iced tea too!
For starters, we had this comida china soup which is like balut soup. It looks like balut. It takes like balut. But its in soup form. And no actual balut in it. Haha. Very unique
Then we had pinsec frito. Loved the crunch to it. Though the meat innit was few. Better than the ones that are sold in chinese fast food restos. Ahem north park ahem.
Among the entrees we ordered were shrimp balls and salt and pepper spareribs. The shrimp balls were an eye opener. First time ive tried this. And in the pic below its not all flour but real shrimp on there. The spare ribs were not the ordinar kind. There was this smokey flavor innit and together with the minced garlic and stuff it was divine.
Great find. Must try if your in Pasig area. You can hardly miss it.
The ambiance of the place has a traditional Chinese touch to it. The spaces are distributed equally for each particular function. As for the food, I absolutely love the bird’s nest soup. I have already tried the majority of the food on its menu, and I must say that they are all sumptuous. But I think the serving sizes should at least be increased. The price is just right for the quality of the food being served here. You get what you pay for nevertheless. I recommend dining at this restaurant more than once, especially if you have a tongue for Asian flavors, specifically, Chinese cuisine.
Comida China Review:.
This is the place where we usually celebrate the birthdays of our tita's, tito's. Lolo and lola due to their classic place and food. It used to be san jacinto. 😎
Ambiance:4/5. it has the oldies feeling inside the restaurant. They have mulitple function room which are not noticable. Its good if you have small gatherings or even big ones.
Service: 3/5, i dont like that much the service, staffs are not smiling at you they have a poker face. Not sure why.
Food: 4/5, comfort chinese food is here at comida china. Birds nest soup is a must ❤
super love the food! everything is perfect! love the new look of their resto! accomodating staff! family always eat here since i was a kid. perfect for reunion and other gatherings :)
The perfect place for family and friends to have fellowship. The place is so big that can accommodate large numbers of family and friends. They have some function rooms that can accommodate large numbers of guests and offer packages. Surely they will love the ambiance. This is a good Chinese restaurants that is best value for money on their Chinese cuisine. Serving is huge. Their waiters are attentive and presentable. Looking forward to bring my family and friends here when i go back.
One of the oldest restaurants in Pasig, the usual place for wedding receptions, baptismal lunch and birthday events. Been here for a number of times and their foods never dissapoint me. They have this old themed table where there is a revolving part so you don't have to stand to get a certain food. Service is good, shououts to Norlan, his aervice is very good and very polite. All in all this is a good place for events
We celebrated my Aunt's birthday here and got to reserve a table in advanced for our family. It's our first time here and the place looks good! Our family loved the ambiance.. ☺ the place is clean and good for the big groups and family who wants to celebrate any occasions. They have rooms if you want to keep the family celebration private. For the food, it is delicious and good for sharing. 😊 We ordered two sets of the food photos I posted. My favorite is Spareribs!! 😍
They also have catering services.
Also, the comfort room is also clean. Haha..😉
Anyways..we'll surely be back soon. ☺
Food was good if you are looking for a typical conventional chinese food. Though what strike me was the adorable and warn service from the mgt down to the greeters.. they were so accomodating and feeding us of specials and to mention their serving suggestions that will reallt fot for two. Great job on service here... :)
This Is One Of My Favorite Restaurant ,'Cause the Food there Are just amazing and the people there are nice as well. We Usually Eat Here When It's My Moms Birthday .🍲🎂🍹
Last Saturday, I organized the reunion of my fellow supervisors from my first company and the event was held at Comida China De Manila. Google brought me to an article and Comida was one of the featured restaurants.
This chinese restaurant got a check on all the things I'm looking for - Affordable food with decent looloo reviews, there's a private room that can hold 20 to 40 people and the place is (almost) situated in between Makati and Quezon City. I figured I have to be considerate to people living in the South and North.
A room can be rented for 10,000 pesos worth of food. I would have to say it's better that what I expected. Wooden accents with a homey and classic feel and the aircon was functioning well.
I chose function room 3 and got two tables with set menu 3 for 10 persons costing 5654 pesos. The viands include:
1 Sweet Corn Soup
2 Camaron Con Jamon
3 Fried Chicken
4 Pancit Canton
5 Lumpiang shanghai
6 Beef w/ Broccoli
7 Yang Chow Fried Rice
8 Almond Jelly
I believe I've tried everything except for their almond jelly. Nothing worth remembering for years but lets just say the food served its purpose. My fellow sups and now considered friends enjoyed the dishes and got their money's worth.
I would recommend Comida and book one of their rooms again for another event in the future.
This Chinese restaurant is an institution in Pasig. It's been around for 20 years and serves a old Chinatown favorites of Binondo with their own modern version. It's a go to place for families, large groups and even weddings.
It's my third stop here in recent memory and every visit has been satisfying. Their take on Cantonese cuisine is generally not greasy and without excessive seasoning. It's light yet alive.
Chicken with Cashews was most interesting. It had lots of nuts paired with juicy white meat on thick tasty sauce. I loved the crunch it gives on every bite from cashews and carrots.
Ampalaya Con Carne was a favorite on our table. The well seasoned beef compensated the bitter element of the bitter gourd. Fish with Beancurd was a classic choice. It's a bite that combines soft and chewy textures.
Their best product is their Cameron Rebosado. I had it before and I regret now that I didn't have it.
Comida China De Manila looks plain and unassuming from the outside. It reminds me of the place where James Bond went to look for the chick who has connection with Javier Bardem in Skyfall (pardon the Bond reference)
The very first Libertad Coaches Reunion was held here. We reserved one of their private rooms for the event. I was pleasantly surprised upon entering, the place looks classy (not gangster den from Skyfall). Classic furniture and good lighting. The private room was spacious, three tables and can probably fit more than 15 people.
We had a gastronomic feast of MSG proportions (kidding). They specialize in comfort Chinese food. Completed RDA for hungry individuals - Go, Grow and Glow.
Yangchow, Lumpiang Shanghai, Fried Wanton, Nido Soup, Roasted Chicken, Breaded Prawn with Bacon on top, Pancit, Beef with Veggies (not sure if it's swamp cabbage).
The dish that stood out for me is the shanghai, chicken and yang chow. The deep fried logs filled with meat is crispy and really yummy. The ratio of meat filling and wrapper is perfect, you get to taste the meat! The yang chow is seasoned well, MSG is very subtle. This can be eaten sans viands. The chicken is cooked well, the meat is moist and flavorful. Suffice to say that we had a very satisfying meal.
The service is good as well, the wait staff is very accommodating in taking photos of a noisy crowd. They assisted us on all of our needs. Plastic wrappers and brown paper bags are readily available for any leftover food. And oh, the loo is squeeky clean and looked mighty fancy.
Best value for money when it comes to Chinese cuisine! Our choice of place whenever we crave for Chinese food & we are in Pasig/C5. We always order their shrimp balls & bird's nest soup. Try their butchi for dessert. Chicken feet is a must too.
Been going to this place for over 6 years now (It was called something different back then😊). Food's good and the servings are ample. My kids' favorites are the hot and sour soup, buchi, comida china chicken (order this in advance, as soon as you sit down, because it takes 20-25minutes) and the yang-chow fried rice.
This place is great for celebrations. They have rooms to accommodate from 20-100 pax. Set menus and packages are available and the servings are huge.
Braved the traffic to get here and try their Sepo Rice. It didn't disappoint. It was filled with pork asado, Chinese chorizo, and Baguio pechay. The taste collaborated very well and kind of reminded me of that Binondo vibe to it. As to the Pork Siomai, it was a big disappointment. Won't even consider it again. It was just pork-flavored flour.
Comida China De Manila was a place I was always curious about, I always passed by this resto but never got the chance to dine here before because I was always rushing to be elsewhere. Luckily, I was with my mom, dad and sibs and we decided to park and try this place out together.
For starters, we had Bird's Nest Soup (Small: 270 PhP) which yields about 6 bowls of soup. It had corn, shrimp and quail eggs. Next up was the Radish Cake (105 PhP / 4 pieces) fried golden brown best with hot sauce served on the side. Last of the starters was the Hakaw (140 PhP) it took a while to serve, but it was definitely worth the wait. The Hakaw was pure shrimp, no extenders whatsoever, I loved it.
For the main course we had Bean Curd Beef Rice (242 PhP) and Beef Rice (242 PhP). These dishes were both so flavorful and saucy served hot in stainless steel bowls.
This place is definitely a good place for families, huge groups, reunions, birthdays & the like. Waiters and waitresses are very attentive, and the food won't disappoint.
A good place to spend an event in your life. Try their very own Comicida Soup. Very tasty! I like how they cook veggies. Still tender and yummy! I love the ambience. A fine dining experience with a cheap price for foods. Good job!
We've frequented this restaurant along E.Rod since the time it was known as Panciteria San Jacinto (this was the time when Mom & Tina's was just a small kiosk by the entrance) and despite the change in name the food has maintained its quality. Even the interiors have stayed exactly the same. Comida China specializes in Chinese food geared towards the Filipino palate.
Over the years we've had a set of staple menu items that we order for family lunch on Sundays, which include the chicken with green onion & ginger, beef with ampalaya, cold cuts and the most awesome shrimp balls you'll ever have.
The white chicken is steamed til' just cooked through and barely seasoned. The sauce made of green onion, ginger and oil is what makes this dish. Add a little soy or opt for the famous brown sauce that adds a good spicy kick to any dish.
The beef with ampalaya has tender pieces of beef in a cornstarch thickened sauce. The true star of the dish for me though is the ampalaya which is perfectly cooked, maintaining a bit of a bite (like al dente pasta) and having just the right amount of bitterness. The cold cuts are always made well and pair perfectly with the spicy brown sauce.
The star for me though has to be the shrimp balls (reminiscent of the ones I used to eat in Maxim's teahouse as a child). Shrimp covered in finely cut bread and deep fried. All I can say is they taste amazing - full of shrimp flavor and perfectly crunchy, a can't miss dish when eating here.
My favorites in Comida include the shrimp ball, the fish with special soy sauce, the camaron rebosado, sweet corn soup, all variants of their pansit, white chicken, beef with broccoli, and when you have the sniffles, their hot and sour soup spells instant comfort. The brewed iced tea is quite memorable and hits the spot for an iced tea person like me. It's the perfect place to convene and share memorable and meaningful meals with your family, friends, colleagues, etc. The function rooms are very tastefully decorated, spacious, and comfortable. They're ideal venues for special occasions. Comida is a classic and remains a favorite of the old (yes my 92 year old grandma loves it) and the young (me! hehe).
My favorite chinese restaurant in the Metro. The ambience is perfect for family lunches and dinner as it gives you a feel that you are dining in the comfort of your own home. This might sound unusual for a food review but I just have to say the cr's are super clean. My favorite food to order here are lumpiang shanghai and the shrimp balls. Both are to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant for casual diners and even to those looking for function rooms for events.
Because of the terrible traffic last night, we decided to stop by Comida de China in Ugong Pasig to have our dinner. So here's my verdict, I can't give a perfect score since their service was not efficient, you need to call for them 3 times to get their attention. The food was fast, given the cooking time for each dish. Interiors are very classical and welcoming.
For the food we had, Lechon, beef broccoli and their best seller Pancit canton along with the yang chow fried rice. All the dishes were incredibly good. I highly recommend this for big groups too since they also have function rooms. I can't wait to come back and have a taste of their other dishes. Plus points on extensive menu and squeaky-clean restrooms! 🍃

Comida China is great for family celebrations. You can order small, medium or large portions of the dishes depending on your family's preference (or how hungry you are). For me, the sweet and sour pork, Yang Chow fried rice and cold cut platter are absolute winners.
Comida China de Manila is along C5 Ugong pasig. It's my first time to dine here. SO here is my ratings
Food 5.0/5.0 - Comida is a traditional Chinese cuisine, the menu is quite different to super bowl, north park, luk yuen etc... and they serve Small ,Medium and large dishes here. We ordered the safe foods first like, lumpiang shanghai(Must try) and the long life pancit canton is very saucy yet not salty nor too flavorful. We also ordered pinsec frito which is the fried wonton with a pea size minced meat, Birds nest soup with quail eggs. and also their best seller China Chicken(Must try) the aniseed taste of it's sauce makes it very Good. For the rice we ordered yang chow and asado rice. one small serving is good for 2-3 persons. It's relatively cheap.
Service 4.5/5.0 - very accommodating staffs, they welcomed us with a smile and value service. the guards also are very friendly and good. they serve fast but with quality.
Ambiance/ Location: 4.5/5..0- very good interiors, the place is accessible with around 30+ parking space I also liked that they have indoor parking which is under the restaurant. my only comment is that their tables are quite small .
Want some Chinese cuisine ? but far from china town. try this restaurant instead.
One of my favorite Chinese food restaurants. Big servings, inexpensive. Chose long life pansit canton which was different from what I had before, should have ordered plain pansit canton. No alcoholic beverages available which I don't mind.

Is it Chinese or is it Spanish
I am pretty sure this place is not Danish
The menu is a cool concoction
Of two cultures in action
Try out the chicken dishes
And uncover some gastronomic riches
Bring the family along
Bring the entire throng
The contact number Zomato posted is connected to a fax machine. Pls update the number for those who want to make reservations or place orders. Thank you
Comida's place is huge! We were a group of 5 and I honestly think that we were the group with the least people in the place. This place is perfect for those reunions. Their food comes in different sizes which is a nice feature. Small, medium, or large. That's the first time I have heard of it and it just clicks so well because people have their own eating habits and their own proportions. The food came by real quick despite how busy everyone might be
Even if this place is full of people (especially on Sundays), the service is fast! Kudos to their team :) Also, the food fresh when ordered. I love how they can accommodate a big group of people and manage them very well. Highly recommended for Chinese food lovers!
Best food in town. Menu is worth paying for. We ordered 4 different kind of menu and we just paid 800 pesos. We ordered shrimp, crab, shanghai and beef broccoli. I recommend this restaurant rather than eating at buffet.

The food is amazing. Good place. I mean really the place is big. The staff is very kind so suggest dishes to us. The only downside is it's a bit far from city center.
Good food and big space for family gathering. My family ordered a lot of food and for the most part it was a decent meal. I would commend very much the yang chow fried rice because it tastes delicious compared to other chinese places I've eateh in. The problems I saw here was that it's a bit pricey for the food served. Also, when the restaurant is busy the service isn't as accomodating and the environment gets a bit too noisy.
This is my family's forever favorite chinese restaurant. Been eating here before it was even called Comida China de Manila. The food is great! On a scale of 1 to 10, i'll rate this place a 9. Plus, the ambiance is relaxing too. They have function halls for big gatherings and the likes. ☺
My name is Chinkee and I am a chinese food junkie. Chinese is a staple for the family everytime we dine out since I was a kid. And yes, i have tried almost all Chinese restaurants in Manila. And Comida de China is hands down my favorite of them all. The cozy homey feel of the place, attentive and nice waiters and of course excellent food makes Comida my comfort place. Most of our family celebrations happened here. From christenings to birthdays, wedding reception, graduation etc. What do i order? I start off with the jellyfish and century egg platter and i make sure its devoured before my birds nest with quail eggs arrive. Then i start with my sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken, pansit canton and the very popular camaron de hamon! After eating i cant stop smiling! So go visit Comida de China and experience this happiness for yourselves!
The ambience and the whole service crew were very warm and friendly.. Good choice for partly private dining for people who love chinese cuisines. Foods are 8 if I rate them in a scale of 10. Most of the people eating here are Chinese, maybe because the food really tastes authentic for them. I will be coming back here to try other menu.

You can never go wrong with Chinese food! Especially when it's from a big chinese restaurant like this one. I've eaten here way back when it was still "San Jacinto Panciteria" and the place was bigger. The food's the same , though and that's not a bad thing.
However this particular visit wasn't too much to rave about. The soup we ordered, that was suggested to us by our server, was just like "leftover" soup. :( I wish we ordered something else. The pancit, that was also suggested to us by the same server, lacked seasoning. It was very bland. The rest of the dishes we ordered were good. Tofu with fish fillet in soy bean sauce, the no-fail/favorite camaron rebosado, and beef with brocolli . All of that paired with the classic yang chow rice is a sure winner.
We ordered banana split for dessert. We just needed to flush all the chinese food taste but it was just normal dessert. I wanted mango sago but they didn't have any. :(
This is one of the best places to dine in if you're with family. I guess the best tip I can give is to not always follow what the servers/waiters suggeat for you to order. You may not like it.
The Camaron Rebusado is very delicious! ❤️❤️????????
Nido soup and fried shrimp balls were exceptional.
One of the best "sho-ma" in town!!!
I remember eating her last year with family. Looks like the good old Chinese resto, because of the huge number of people not only Chinese ones going to this place to devour into Chinese cuisine. The place is hugely located at the second floor.
Some of the Chinese favorites we ordered were:
Bird's Nest w/ Crab Meat Soup (P292) - really tasted authentic and one of the best Chinese soups ever tasted despite the fact what bird nests are (do you know that bird nests are actually made of bird saliva?)
Yang Chow Fried Rice (P402) - you have the option to choose which size (S,M,L). We had the medium one which is good to 3-4 people.
Spicy Salt/Pepper Ribs (P308) - loved how they cook this, crispy on the outside but very tender ribs inside, plus it's not too salty!
Fried Lapu-Lapu with Sweet Sour Sauce (P438) - another signature Chinese dish, you can taste how fresh the fish in this dish even if it was gloriously sauced
Cold Cuts Platter (P382)- a must order if you like cold cuts! A combination of Century egg, Seaweed, Pata Jamon, Lechon Macau
Spring Rolls 3 pcs. (P115) - includes fresh veggies inside, and not too much of ground pork
Worth the next visit, definitely one of those authentic Chinese restos in town.
Old school chinese food. Comforting.
An old restaurant gets a new name, but the links with its past remains with the same cuisine and flavors known for generations. Panciteria de San Jacinto, now Comida China de Manila, continues to serve old Chinatown style favorites.
Fried Prawns with Alexander Sauce, sweet and tangy, with a little heat. Fancy name, but the flavors are familiar. The Comida China Cold Cuts Combination Platter, with century egg, pata jamon, lechon macau, and seaweed, different flavors and textures in a platter. The Hot and Sour Soup, hearty and comforting, brings back a lot memories.
Smoked and cured meats on display, just like any good Chinatown restaurant, completes the look. The name may be different, but the flavors and memories remain. After all these years, it's still the place for old Chinatown style comfort food.
