Great food. Pure and simple. No pretensions, just roll up your sleeves good eating. Try the Ms Piggy sausage and their juicy-plump pork chops. Oh and that pepperoni pizza on an unusual fluffy dough is to die for!
The food is great. Excellent service.
They even let us taste a dish that's not yet in their menu.
Superb!

The food is great!!! The service? Excellent!! All in all? So worth it!! Keep it up guys! Definitely won’t be my last time here!
Best P500 ever for their buffet. Absolutely great dishes and their sausages are the real deal. Bang for the buck resto. Spend your money here vs Kettle or Bad Bird or whatever trendy resto. This is man food.

Great food, amazing ambiance and super sarap ng Southern Fried Chicken nila! :)
The food is expensive but it matches the taste and the presentation. The cooking was perfect and not overly done!
I tried the 3 Li'l Pigs Sausage and it was awesome! Don't forget to ask for the 7 spices sauce
Recommended dishes: pork chops, chorizo sausage, lamb and olive sausage, carbonara fetuccini, liver pate, mashed potatoes
So-so dishes: truffle cream pasta
Dish that changed over time: Caesar's salad used to be served with two strips of thick but crispy to die for bacon. The bacon is gone and you can't even order it as an extra. Really sad about this.
Ambience: Nice decor, though the interior is a little on the dark side, doesn't get overly noisy
Service: The waitress is chill -- she's friendly, efficient, polite and leaves you alone to your food. The waiters keep changing, maybe because they're rude? One of them slid our extra plate onto the table towards instead of placing it carefully down. Hello. It's not like it's heavy.
Value for money: The servings are generous and the taste is worth the price. If there are two of you and you both mind your portion sizes, you can definitely share a meal.

It is always good to return to Spice & Cleaver, with its wide selection of sausages and other dishes. I had the following during my latest visit there:
1) Artisanal Sausages (1 piece for P320; 2 pieces for P580)
Pizza Sausage (Pork sausage with sun-dried tomatoes, Italian spices, and cheese)
Texan Sausage (Tex-Mex-flavored pork sausage with chili and cheese)
There are many kinds of artisanal sausage available for guests to choose from, and all of them (excluding The Mask and the Mamasan varieties) come with a healthy serving of mashed potatoes and sauekraut. Guests can also mix and match instead of get two of the same variety of sausage.
My favorite of the two varieties is the Pizza Sausage, thanks to the earthy taste of rosemary and the creamy cheese when hot. This is best enjoyed when hot to avoid the dish from becoming greasy. I suggest alternating each bite of sausage with the creamy mashed potato and the crunchy and sour sauerkraut.
2) Asparagus (P180)
These asparagus spears are crunchy, peppery, and have a slight spicy kick thanks to the paprika sprinkled on top. A good contrast to the heavy and rich sausages.
3) Banana Chocolate Bread Pudding (P250)
I enjoyed the fluffy bread pudding. The mild taste of banana and chocolate contrasts with the cooling and light vanilla ice cream served on top. As usual, my golden rule applies: let the ice cream melt for a bit on top of the dessert to let it cool and absorb the vanilla flavor.
4) S&C Iced Tea (P120)
This sweet drink is good to have for a contrast in flavor to the rich flavors of the meal. I suggest stirring the drink once in a while to evenly distribute the flavor.
Their sausage is a must try! Chorizo pasta was okay. We love their onion rings, it’s just hard to eat because it is not actually ring shaped anymore (like how I expect it to be, since it is onion rings). The onion rings are shredded into small pieces, which makes it really hard to dip in its delicious sauce before eating it. It’s my first time to try a blue cheese cheesecake here, it was amazing! 💕
We will definitely come back to try their other dishes like the ribs and pork belly.
PS. I think they should have more manpower and nicer waitresses.
I thought I was going to pass out with my order. Not because it isn't good but because I ordered too much for a pax, hahaha. Two sausages can be for sharing since they come with mashed potato and sauerkraut. I accompanied it with their breadbasket. Their condiments of regular mustard, sweet mustard and chili paste stimulated my appetite and I managed to finish my meal.
Dining at Spice and Cleaver will require a good budget but it's worth it. Better enjoy it with friends too.
If it's just for the awesome truffle cream corn, this place deserves a 5! It's the perfect balance of creamy, savory, indulgent, and heavenly goodness.
The rub on their pork is on point. Sausage is juicy and flavorful. The cook of both is good. Service is nice and quick and the ambience is pretty chill.
I will definitely recommend and come back to this place! I had the tenderest, juiciest Bratwurst with rustic mashed potatoes and the most amazing sauerkraut I've ever tasted 😋 I love love love this place! ❤️ I can't wait to try their other dishes!
The sausages were divine! I randomly picked out the Lamb with Olive variety and later found out that it was a best seller. I love lamb and this sausage really highlights the flavor. Because I also love pizza, I tried out the pizza sausage. It had all the customary Italian seasonings and the taste lives up to the name.
A two-sausage serving with sauerkraut and mash is quite a lot for one person. You can opt for only one sausage served with the same sides. However, for a group, I feel that they should offer a sampler platter.
My first time to eat here and it didn't disappoint. The steak, pasta and sausages are on point. I specifically love the sauerkraut with the sausages. Price for the steak is good considering the huge size. Overall the servings are good for sharing.
Great food. Generous serving. Reasonable price. Great service. Love, love the Sisig sausage and Baby back ribs! We will definitely come back. ❤❤❤
Christmas lunch date with my Highschool bffs. We randomly choose the place and we all agree to dine in Spice & Cleaver.
The place is cozy and nice, with more on wood and steel accents that gives artisanal feel. Wooden frames, blackboard menus and dim lights looks great with the accents. This place specializes in steaks and sausage😋
For appetizer we got, Andouille Salad (arugula salad) it has slices of Creole Sausage, with Citrus vineigrette and arugula (P310)- i enjoyed this one since I love arugula! Small serving though, but its quite enough since some of my friends are not into arugula.
Sausage is like a must here. So we did try it. We had Kielbasa and 3 Lil Pigs (P300 each) Served in a plate with virgin mashed potato and sauerkraut (taste like pickled cabbage). The Kielbasa is tasty with garlic and onion, while 3 Lil Pigs is packed with dice chorizo & smoked bacon. I highly recommend Kielbasa😊
We had Wild Mushroom Tartuffo (P380), it has seasonal mushroom in truffle cream sauce. This has a rich truffle taste, though I find it too oily. But with the taste, small serving will do, coz it has an "umay" factor.
We also tried their "Puffiza", the crust is not like the usual pizza, its more like a croissant texture. We had Miss Piggy (P420) pesto sauce! Topped with salami, Italian sausage, forest ham and bacon. Just had a slice, and its quite a heavy. For me its good!
Verdict: for meat lovers this is a good place to try. 🍽

My wife and I started with a nice arugula salad with smoked sausages. That was quite appetizing. Full flavored sausages and nutty arugula with a great dressing. It could have used a little less salt that they sprinkle on there but besides that it was quite good. We then shared a ms.piggy pizza which was divine. It's a pizza on croissant like dough. My one down side was my fresh lemonade at P120 was barely a glass. They should either charge less for.it or give a bigger glass. Over all I would comeback to this place.
The moment I tasted their Sausages, I knew I had to bring hubby to this restaurant. We had late dinner here on a Saturday night after running errands and uhm shopping until almost closing time.
We started with the addicting Truffle Fries. Hubby absolutely loves French Fries so we just had to have this. I love the cheese and the subtle presence of truffle oil.
When I spotted BACON on the menu, I knew that the 3 Lil' Pigs was the obvious choice for us. It consisted of smoked bacon, diced chorizo and bratwurst. Everything blended too well together and I couldn't make out which was which. It was delicious though and was perfect with the chunky mashed potatoes and sauerkraut.
When they said that the pork chops would be ginormous, they really meant it. Both were grilled well and still cane out very juicy. We loved everything on the chopping board and would probably come back for this and the sausages and the Fries ...

This place always has a lot of people so it was intriguing to say the least.
The ambiance is very blogger meets So-Cal, the service was okay but the food was a mixed bag.
Their Wild Mushroom tartuffo is heaven for the truffle lover, the puffiza (Miss Piggy) was a refreshing change from the normal pizza (although I prefer my traditional crust and fat-free pizza) and the pork barrel pork chops were 50-50, one was perfectly cooked and tasted great while the other was raw in the middle. The food here are diet breakers, they are relatively oily and are in large serving sizes
For the food value, it is relatively expensive but I will probably try the sausages next time.
Surprisingly good food! Not one of the popular choices in Estancia but definitely one of the best. Loved the unhealthy buffalo fingers coz it's kind of deconstructed but it's yummm! Lil Pigs also exceeded my expectations. Will definitely go back! ❤
Went to Estancia mall after quite a while, and, for once, in time to catch Spice & Cleaver before it closes for the day.
I'm not a big fan of sausages- though I must say the ones we tried here tasted fresh and not like it was excessively processed or preserved. We had a sausage each of Chicken and Bockwurst (Bavarian smoked pork) - both came with sides of Sauerkraut and Virgin Mashed Potato. The sausage was huge and I struggled to finish the Bockwurst.
We also had a Puffiza (Pizza on a puff dough). We had 'My Cheesy Friend' with mozzarella, emmental, cheddar and bleu. Very cheesy indeed! On a flaky dough base.
Ended with the Chocolate Roca - chocolate cake with almonds - quite good but not irresistible!
Beer selection was unique - our first time to have Brew Dog Lager (a German Pilsner style beer brewed in Scotland) and Weihenstephan Wheat Beer (brewed in the world's oldest brewery). Both were pretty good.
An alternative amidst the usual restaurants that we have. Suggested by my brother and M being a meat-lover, this sausage place got our attention. We ordered a variety of sausages, and I would recommend the Nurnberger Rostwurst as an appetizer for big groups. Since we thought this would only have cocktail-sized sausages, we ordered the one with 10 pieces. Boy, were we so wrong! The sausages were like long hotdogs! Enough for everyone to have a taste of their classic German sausages. We also got their whole baby back ribs which we all loved as well. For their pizzas, we tried their Miss Piggy and My Cheesy Friend. One all-meat and one cheese pizza for different tastes and preferences. Hahaha!
There was just one unfortunate instance when one of the crafted sausages had hair inside it, but they were immediately able to replace this.
Although it was quite expensive, I would say everything we ordered was worth it! We would definitely be back! 😄👍
What caught our attention in Spice & Cleaver were their sausages. We've heard good things about them and they surely didn't dissapoint.
I've tried the Pizza Sausage, The Mexican, Lamb with Olive, Mamasan, and 3 Lil' Pigs. Among these sausages, I enjoyed the Lamb with Olive and their The Mexican the most. The lamb one had that lamb taste which stood out from the sausage. If you like spicy food, I suggest trying The Mexican. Don't have both lamb and mexican at the same time since the lamb will end up pretty bland after.
I'm not a fan of sauerkraut but I find their sauerkraut really complements the sausage.
You might hesitate to spend an average of Php 300 for each sausage dish at first. Each plate comes with a generous serving of mashed potato and sauerkraut. The sausage is also pretty big and fat. 😁 One order is pretty filling on its own!
An okay place. The food is generally good, the staff was generally attentive to our needs. Had their sausages, it was actually okay. 3.5 for the okay rating. :)
Spice and Cleaver serves western grill food like ribs, steaks and sausages. The place has a modern interior design setup which matches the food that they serve. We only tried two of their handcrafted sausages as those seem to be the best sellers and most promoted item (with one of their logos promoting it).
3 Lil Pigs (the lighter colored sausage in the photo) -smoked bacon, diced chorizo and bratwurst. Pretty good! the chorizo gave a nice flavor mixed with the other elements.
The Mask (the darker colored sausage in the photo) -Pulutan in a sausage! It was okay and the basic sausage elements were there but I liked the 3 Lil Pigs better.
I'll need to try more of their menu to fully judge this restaurant but from my first experience here at Spice and Cleaver, things are looking pretty good.
We tried Spice & Cleaver's artisan sausages during our Capital Commons food crawl.
The sausages were pretty flavorful and juicy. I particularly loved the 3 lil pigs, which were made with Filipino flavors in mind. Love the bursts of flavor in each bite. The Mask, on the other hand, was unexciting when it comes to flavor but was still quite juicy. Price was a bit steep, but I guess that's what you have to pay for large, artisan sausages.
The only downer was service, they didn't seem to be interested in making sure we were entertained since we had to call the waiters multiple times. Hope that improves.

Helmed by the Jose Brothers (of Brothers Burgers and Mickey’s Delicatessen), Spice and Cleaver definitely ain’t for the health conscious. It’s loaded with tons of flavors delivered in its one-of-a-kind handcrafted sausages, fully loaded pizzas and other menu offerings. They boast of sausages with zero extenders, use non-synthetic casing and are made of pure meat.
I came with some of my foodie friends and we tried their Three Little Pigs (made from bacon, chorizo and bratwurst) and The Mask (All-time Filipino favorite Pulutan in a sausage). Between the two, I like the Three Little Pigs better. It’s more juicy and flavorful. What I like about Spice and Cleaver is their serving size and sides. We had their Virgin mashed potatoes (with skin on) and Sauerkraut for a well-rounded meal.
Aside from the food, they also offer a short but well-chosen list of craft beers and beer on tap as well as about a dozen cocktails. Be sure you have an appetite and preferably a large group when you come as that would be the best way to experience the bold flavors and ample portions dished out by Spice and Cleaver

I am totally blown away by the Miss Piggy Puffizza which has a croissant dough topped with Salami, Italian sausage, Pork face, Forest ham, Bacon and Pesto sauce on it. It's too good to be true! Though it's oilier than usual, everybody should at least give it a try, most especially the pesto lovers out there. 😍
On a side note, I figured out that they use free spotify. So the Spotify ad was playing all around the area. Nice playlist though. 👌🏻
Our second stop for our food crawl is at Spice and Cleaver. A restaurant dedicated for the carnivore in you. We ordered two of their sausages which is called The Mask and the Three Little Pigs.
We had their two sausage set (P480.00) with mashed potato and sauerkraut. The Mask is like a pulutan dish rolled in a sausage while the The Three Little Pigs has this very meaty taste. Check out my blog for a full review.
My personal rating for the restaurant:
Food: 4.0
Service: 4.0

Happy Eating,
Foodie Day Out
Food crawling is really a fun thing to do if you really wanted to try out new food while enjoying the company of friends. Me and my foodie friends decided to food crawl in Estancia Mall and our second pick for the afternoon is Spice & Cleaver. The restaurant is known for a wide variety of sausages that they offer. The place is also a perfect place for meat lovers. We decided to grab some sausages on our stop with Spice & Cleaver. For our stay, we decided to get their The Mask and Three Little Pigs. A piece of sausage cost P280.00 while you have the option for 2 pieces at P480.00. The serving of the sausages includes a serving of mashed potatoes and sauerkraut.
If you're a carnivore well you'd definitely love this resto for their diff. Sausages.
We had the opportunity to try some of their dishes and I was impressed with the Quantity! It was really good for sharing.
To start our meal, we ordered their Buffalo fingers that didn't really come out as Trafitional buffalo fingers with bbq sauce. It was like fish & fries! Although it tasted great because I loved the garlic sauce they served on the side :)
Next was their puff pizza that was complicated to eat because it falls off and was made of croissant. Eating this kind of pizza was messy. As you know pizza had a lot of ingredients and a puff type wouldn't be a good choice.
Yes it was different from the other typical pizzas but it losses the real PIZZA experience.
Next was their fish & chips which was waaaay huge! It was actually good for 5-6? Hahaha
Lastly we tried their spicy chorizo pasta that was under seasoned and was not spicy at all.
The group was happy with the Huge food serving but was not that impressed with the taste of the dishes.
Spice and Cleaver’s Lamb Sausage with Sauerkraut and Virgin Mashed Potatoes for 280php and 500mL Wheat German Beer for 250php.
Spice and Cleaver was one of the restaurants in Estancia that I was very hesitant to try due to my diet. I’ve been avoiding oily meals since it messes up my body. But this sausage place was tummy friendly. Arvin had the Lamb while I had Kielbasa. Their sausages weren’t salty. The Sauerkraut wasn’t drenched in vinegar and their potatoes were not starchy. Service was quick and attentive. How? I had a tall glass of Tequila Sunrise and as the contents were going down, the straw sank too. Their waiter immediately changed my glass to a shorter one. Didn’t expect it but very much appreciated it.
So drop by the Lower Ground floor or Estancia and enjoy a one of a kind deli experience. Their dessert is divine too.
Spice and Cleaver was an interesting choice. They had a lot of sausages to choose from and we decided to get the pizza sausage, lamb with olive and feta, three little pigs and the mask. The three little pigs was just new so it's not yet available on the menu.
Everyone agreed that the pizza sausage was the best among our choices, but for the rest of the sausages, we all had different opinions. The lamb with olive and feta was my choice because you can taste the lamb, it was like lamb in sausage form. The three little pigs had a dominant bacon taste and was a bit saltier among the rest. Meanwhile, the mask had a faint sisig taste.
The virgin mashed potatoes were amazing, one of the best mashed potatoes I had in a while. I didn't try the sauerkraut but both were included with the order of the sausages. The truffle fries was good, it lacked the truffle smell, but I still loved it. I'm a bit biased because fries is my favorite.
The Dirty Rice was a bit disappointing. It wasn't as described in the menu. It reminded me of the taste of paella instead of the description. We could have survived without this.
Overall, our bill for 3 people was around 1600. I would definitely come back to try the different sausages.
Sausages are great!! I love it in bed with mashed potatoes.. Plus the tartufo pasta is great! They also has this puff pizza which is a croissant type of bread, i find it interesting since i love croissants just that i didnt like what i had.. I think that's miss piggy. ( its just my opinion) i guess from the sausages and pasta the pizza got a little bit over powered by those two that i first tried. Ambiance is pretty nice, simple but sure hita what they serve. Will go back here for the sausages! Yum!
I would go back to Spice and Cleaver for their liver pate alone. That's just how good it is; so it's a real definite must-order. I liked the truffle pasta as well, although, it was a little bit too creamy and heavy for my taste. Though, I am not a big fan of their puff pastry (?) pizza, as it's just too flaky. The sausages are good, plus I have to admit I like their sauerkraut better than the other sauerkrauts I have eaten before.
Just a little nitpicking though: I wish they olay livelier music. Went there for lunch; and, a rather slow song plating in the background coupled with a rather empty restaurant just seemed to make the servers less energetic (but not less attentive though).
A new restaurant here at Estancia Mall. I find the menu a bit pricey. So might be here not too often. We ordered their best-selling sausages that comes with Sauerkraut (which is really new for me. Didn't like it much) and virgin mashed potato. THE MEXICAN - My friend didn't like the strong flavor so he asked for chilies. FRESH CHORIZO - I liked the flavor of this one. 1 pc will be enough if you're a light eater. But if you're really hungry, I suggest you to buy 2 pcs. And I think the other one is the Lamb with olive and feta.
Overall, would be coming back if I will be craving for some sausages.
So Pancho and I couldn't decide where and what we want to eat. We went to Estancia, so that we could have a lot of restaurants to choose from. While strolling around the mall, we saw Spice and Cleaver which was packed for a Monday lunch service so we decided to eat here instead. Pancho likes eating sausages so I had a good feeling that his picky appetite would like it here.
The ambiance of the resto gives a very casual look and feel. Service was okay, but could still use a little improvement.
Food was great! We had the Farmers Liver Paté with Candied Fruit and Garlic. I am not a fan of liver patés. Period. But Pancho ordered it and made me try it anyway. It was good, not as bad as I expected. It was flavorful and the candied fruit goes well with the paté.
Next up, we tried their version of Pizza which they proudly call the Puffiza. Why puffiza? It's because instead of using pozza dough, they use puff pastry. We tried the Miss Piggy which composts of Salami, Italian Sausage, Pig Face, Forest Ham, Bacon and Pesto taste wise it was okay. But the puff pastry was still raw cause it didn't really puffed up and it made the whole thing hard to chew. So we were a bit disappointed with that.
Now, for their Sausages which are Hand crafted and served with Mashed Potatoes and Sauerkrout. Nomnom! We tried The Mexican-smoked pork sausage with cilantro, sun dried tomato and chili. The sausage was okay, it wasn't that spicy cause I can tolerate it. The sauerkrout was delish!
Our meal here was good, our tummy was filled and satisfied. Needs a few improvements on the Puffiza dough. Really, it was really tough.. but we had a good time eating here so it was okay! 😉
This is the first time that i enjoyed eating sausage. Good combination of sundried tomato and mashed potato. Pasta is good too. Nice presentation of food, right amount of serving and food is so deli. Will surely come back to try their other dishes.

Went for dinner with a couple of friends. The place had a very rustic vibe to it complementing the food they serve. The menu has a decent variety of choices ranging from salads, pasta, pizza, etc and of course their main offer - sausages.
We ordered greek salad, deep fried camembert cheese served with bread sticks, puff pastry cheese pizza, mushroom truffle pasta, and sausages on a bed of rustic mashed potato. All good! Service is very efficient with just the right amount of prep time. Toilets are shared by establishments on the floor. Average meal per person is Php750. I will definitely go back to try their other fares. I suggest you do the same.
Tried this newly opened resto in Capitol commons.. #SpiceandCleaver .. Loved the sausages, well spiced and good consistency. Some of what we had were ok but too bad they didn't have the mussel dish available, I wanted to try it. 😀
This place just opened a few days ago so they only accept cash for now. It's a handmade sausage place - with both traditional sausages like bratwurst and house specialties like their Pinoy sausage and others. We had a bratwurst and the lamb and pork sausage with feta cheese, and a siding of their pate with dried fruit. All items were excellent, especially the sausages! Juicy, flavorful and not salty at all. The sausages also go with mashed potato and sauerkraut so 1 piece is more than a decent sized meal. Price is reasonable too!
I headed off to Estancia Mall in Capitol Commons to try out a newly opened joint called Spice & Cleaver. The place specializes in handcrafted sausages which I find to be something beyond the usual.
I went over the menu and found that they have quite a lot interesting items to offer. I was dining alone this day and was bent on trying at least one of the sausage variants. I asked the wait staff for a recommendation. He graciously advised that I try out the Lamb With Olive & Feta Sausage which he said is a bestseller so far. It sounded well worth the try and so I did. When my order came, it was hot off the grill and fuming with a distinct and enticing meaty aroma. It's made of a mixture of lamb and pork sausage with black olives. The feta cheese gets molten from the grilling and oozes out of the sausage as you cut into it. They blend very well and gives a taste that's right and balanced. The order came with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut making it a complete meal. I came to understand that their sausage items actually goes excellently with beer. In fact I noticed the place also serves good quality beers (and wine) in keeping with their German concept.
After my satisfying meal I decided to also try at least one of their desserts. And so I ordered the Cerveza Bread Pudding. I am a fan of bread puddings and I am all raves about this one. The pudding is stout base and gives off a tinge of beer taste. It's not so sweet but comes along with caramel sauce so you can sweeten it to your liking. What I like best is that it's served hot with the top portion hard and crunchy while inside it's thick but soft and chewy. I noticed some chocolate chunks, raisins and fruit slices in the mix and provide episodes of unexpected flavors.
Overall I had a great sampling of Spice and Cleaver. I will come back to try out other items like the Baked Camembert Cheese with Pretzel Sticks, Truffle Strawberry Jam and Tomato chutney; The Mask, which I heard is an innovation of Pinoy sisig in a sausage; The Mexican, which I suppose is their spicy sausage. Next time though I will take along some friends and order up beer along with the meals which I think is the more appropriate way to enjoy the place.
