Very casual restaurant with basic facilities. My only concern was how small the plates are. A little bigger than a platito, I would've enjoyed my food more with a dinner plate.

Food: tried their rib eye steak with mashed potato and it also comes with a corn, it was superbbbb! It was also huge :) then for the Raki's BBQ Ribs, this ribs were the bomb, the sweetness and saltiness were really balanced.
Place: the place was okay, but I suggest that they should change their lights into something that makes the place itself pop-out, because the place looked a little bit sad, if you know what I mean. :)

Rub has always been my go-to place for Ribs & Fish and Chips.
Yup, you read that right. Not known to many, Rub has one of the best Fish and Chips in town. They serve it perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper with a very crispy batter that fully coats the large cuts of fish fillet. Back then, their fries were also kinda floured before being fried making it crispy, but they kinda replaced their recipe on the fries. The fries are nonetheless, tasty albeit not as crispy as before.
Their Ribs, as always, are soft and tender. While they're not the "fall off the bones" type, you certainly wouldn't have a hard time removing them from their bones and chewing them. The quality of the pork meat is good as you can see a moderate amount of fat in between the meat. The barbecue sauce rub was a bit sweet, but more on the savory side which can be salty if you put too much.
Anyways, this is one of the better places serving ribs. Try it out!
I loved their fish and chips - 2 huge fillets that were served fresh and hot with what tasted like parmesan coated fries 😀 Amo enjoyed 3 slabs of their Pork smoked belly with buttered vegetables on the side that he had to order an extra rice. Their Coleslaw was also good. Will definitely come back for more.

Most sulit ribs in the metro! Raki's BBQ Ribs is the star of their menu, and for good reason. Been to different branches a bunch of times and their quality is consistent — scrumptious, tender, off-the-bone ribs. 👌🏼 Serving time is not bad, too.

I’ve tried the Makati branch and that was a great experience. I like the location of this Kapitolyo branch. We were welcomed by someone who seemed to be the supervisor of the store. We all ordered the solos with different side dishes. When the ribs were served and we tasted it, it was worth the 15-20 minute wait. The chips and dips were yum. We would appreciate if the ribs were all tender and easily slips of the bone. There were parts that were tough. I went back to the office happy and full!

One of the best ribs I have tasted so far. Really juicy and also on a very reasonable price. I just hope the place gets bigger since there are really a lot of customers wanting to taste those ribs. The queue might be long but I can promise you that it's worth the wait.
RUB is one of the household names when it comes to ribs and with good reason: they got the smoky barbecue taste down pat. It doesn't hurt that they have good-tasting sides that complement their ribs well, too.
The place is nice. The foods are good. We tried the Rub duo good for 2 sharing. It has a long cut of ribs with 2 side dishes. We choose fried rice then we add a Ceasar salad and Potatoe fries. It was all good. :)

Can't figure it out it its Dry or Wet rub? Maybe both? Anyway, my boyfriend had Family Brunch and I got Super Duo. Mashed potatoes, potato salad, corn salad and grilled corn on the sides.
The only downside on this branch, is that, it's so cramped.

So many attempts to eat here but always full during meal times. We ate 4pm so we had parking and table. Serving size of single entre is good for 1 hungry man. Flavor, value and size could habe been a 5.

RUB ribs-- a great place to satisfy your cravings for ribs...
Passing by the area one night, we just decided to get ribs to go... We usually get the Rub beef, made of tender hanger steak with a rich tangy sauce. We felt bored and went for the Riblets for the first time. These are ribs that either have a wet or dry rub; comes in single or sharing sizes with sides. He wanted to try the dry rub and we knew we should have gone for the wet rub instead. Still pretty tender and tasty, but it had a different texture and lacked juiciness because of the dry rub. We choose buttered veggies and garlic rice as our sides.
We also tried Rub's Ultimate fries-- fries topped with pulled pork, jalapenos, barbecue sauce and tons of cheese. Now this was positively addicting! It had a satisfying heaviness to it, accented with a spiciness from the sauce and peppers. I had to consciously stop myself from eating the lot of it... I knew it would have tasted even better had it been consumed immediately, so order with caution!😍

Ribs taste good, a bit dry i think, but overall its delicious. I tried their fried oreos for dessert, and I was disappointed. The batter tastes like a cooking oil that's been used multiple times. Price wise, for a ribs, this is good enough.

The medium rare RUB beef is awesome. Some of the best medium rare beef I had here in Manila.

Ribs was really good - sweet, smokey, and tender. Couldn't ask for more, the price was very reasonable and the serving was generous. They also offer a lot of side dishes but my personal favorite is their potato salad and coleslaw. Our order was served in less than 15minutes with no follow-ups. Plus they have a good customer service on this branch with no service charge added on your bill.

You'll be surprised of how your mood affects the way you judge something or someone. The truth is, I may have a better judgment regarding the Raki's BBQ Ribs (me and my friend ordered the super duo). It was quite a night for us, like exhausted from the day's work and activities that ensued after (grab a comics at bookstore during FCBD, stroll around the mall and watched a movie) then hunger comes. So we decided to visit and dine in Kapitolyo. Since Rub is quite popular, we go here instead. My friend told me that the baby back ribs was not his type because it was dry and stiff. I wouldn't say that I agreed since I'm not a big fan of ribs, but it passed my expectation anyhow. I just love the option of sauce (original and spicy which are superb choices). I like their popular and a must order side dish, roasted garlic mashed potato. And I unexpectedly thought that eating here would be quite expensive since we realized that the super duo was enough for 3 persons who can consume just a little bit of meat in a single meal. I have been there twice and I liked what we've had at RUB Ribs. 😊
◽Ribs (Single, 1 side + rice, ₱230) and two Super Duo meals (₱400 each) - I liked their ribs -- tender, falling-off-the-bone, and not too drenched in BBQ sauce so you'd still get that nice smoky flavor. Sarap lang papakin hehehe. The BBQ sauce was served separately. The vegetables were crunchy and well-seasoned, while their Sprice (Spiced Fried Rice) was not too spicy -- just right.
◽Burrito Bowl - (₱215) I ordered the pulled pork one (the other type included chicken). It looked pretty that at first you might see a salad bowl hehehe. I've never had burrito before nor that I wanted to try it because I thought the dish was weird -- carbs (rice, corn, black beans occasionally) wrapped in carbs (wheat flour tortilla).
Now I got to try this "naked" burrito in a bowl and what could I say? It was yummy! Porky, a bit tart, a bit spicy and a bit rich because of the white sauce (I couldn't say what it was), and it tasted fresh too because of the lettuce. Servings were just right for me -- or I thought was more than enough I almost didn't get to finish it! Rice, corn, pork, veggies -- ang bigat sa tiyan! Hahaha. Now I finally got to try what a burrito tasted like, sans the tortilla wrap (and might prefer this to the usual wrapped-up burrito).
◽Up in the Clouds Ice Cream (₱105 per cup) -
Rub Ribs also sells ice cream, sourcing it from the artisanal ice cream maker Up in the Clouds. We tried one of their famous flavors, Butterbeer... So to Harry Potter fans, you might wanna try this!
The velvety ice cream base was flavored with butterscotch and speckled with bits of toffee. Reminded me of mocha ice cream. A tad too sweet pero keri naman!
Overall, a satisfying lunch and dinner. Only they should brighten up the space a bit.

Ribs = Rub.
Other ribs restaurants have sprouted in Kapitolyo, but there is no other like Rub. Their ribs platter is good for 3-4 people. Be sure to order their garlic spinach for sides as that is the real steal.
Something about the minty iced tea that makes the visit always complete.

I mean, the place is _okay_. I wouldn't say the bbq's that great; they're personally at par with racks and casa verde. If you're in Kapitolyo and you're craving for ribs then there are other places you might want to check out. Overall, this place is okay, and that's what makes it good and bad at the sametime: nothing stands out much.

I recommended this to almost all of my friends since the quality and quantity of food is very good. If you're craving for ribs that is not that pricey, I suggest you try Rub Ribs! Also, don't forget to try their Fried Oreos as a dessert.
I have to this restaurant a few weeks ago and the food is phenomenal. I ate their smoked pork belly with cajun rice and a side of coleslaw is magnificent. to top the experience their own blend of iced tea completes a gastronomic experience.
although their mac and cheese is a total let down the taste reminds me of something from a box. bland and a hint of cardboard. still i would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

The main reason why we do not dine here as often as we like is the limited parking slots which are usually occupied during peak hours. We were lucky enough to snag a slot and the last table when we arrived last Friday night.
Ordering Raki's BBQ Ribs was a no brainer. We went for the Super Duo with Potato Fries and Sprice.
The ribs were very soft and easy to separate from the bones. I generously slathered more of that smoky thick sauce before each bite. The Potato Fries were cold so I only ate a few pieces. They did not time the food well. The Spiced Fried Rice was flavorful but they mixed in a small portion that was very hard. I like tutong but this was too much.
The Pepperoni Pizzadilla was a spicy yummy mess. There was no way I was using my hands hahaha. Everything tasted delicious but I wouldn't mind a slightly toasted version and less sauce. This pizza and quesadilla cross breed is an awesome snack choice.
The aroma coming from the Fried Oreos from the nearby table prompted us to get one. A yummy fried treat that goes well with the vanilla ice cream. The perfect way to end our meal.
My only complaint is that the table is too small for the food especially if you order a platter to share. Space is quite tight.
I'm pretty sure we'll be back to satisfy our cravings for ribs. I'm crossing my fingers and toes that we are as lucky with parking the next time.

The first restaurant in Kapitolyo that we tried. The rib is big. It's almost good for 2 people. There are two sidings which are perfect for the ribs. We enjoyed the food a lot while eating here. The place is not so noisy. But the space is a bit small. I hope they expand. Teehee.

My friends & I got the Nacho Muchos, Mozzarella Squares and the Cajun Fried Ribs Singles BBQ Ribs with Shredded Corn & Fries on the side. As for the appetizers, the I don't recommend ordering the Nacho Muchos- it was tasteless and not worth the stomach space. (They did serve us free cheese dip though!) We loved the Mozzarella Squares since it was breaded in with spices to add more flavor. The Cajun Fried Ribs were a little bit salty but could have been balanced with some plain rice while our all time favorite was the BBQ Ribs! Their originally crafted sauce to pair was delicious!
This was where I had my first rub ribs experience and it surely wouldn't be the last. Really affordable place to get your rib fix! They have rib dishes for single, double and family. No excuse not to try this place! 👍

Ribs. Who doesn’t love them? Even those on a diet cannot resist the big slab of oh so good meat with overflowing barbeque sauce. I could testify. I momentarily forgot my diet--at least for a good 2 hours.
Finally, Rub Ribs! I’ve been hearing a lot of good reviews about this place. I know three colleagues who could not stop raving about it and I just have to try it. Actually, the reason why we had a “rib lunch out” today was because of my colleague’s addiction to the place.
The place was quite small and parking was a bit difficult that we had to park on the other side of the street. The place also has another side business—SMILE Intervention Center.
We were all very hungry so we ordered within 2 minutes. I ordered the Singles—half slab with one side dish (I ordered Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes) and plain rice (PHP190), an additional side dish of Buttered Vegetables (PHP65) Soup of the Day—Cream of Potato Soup (PHP100), and Fried Oreos with Vanilla Ice Cream (PHP140).
My soup arrived within 10 minutes but it felt like it was more than 30 minutes as I was that hungry. The soup looked ordinary and nothing fancy (hey, you can’t expect gold with just PHP100). It was served warm and very very creamy. You could definitely see bits of potatoes and skin proving that it was 100% potatoes. It was a bit salty for my taste though because of the cheese cubes and it seemed a bit too heavy as an appetizer.
The Singles and the Buttered Vegetables arrived next and the serving was pretty generous for the price. I was a bit disappointed though with the buttered vegetables as it was just string beans and carrots.
The meat was well cooked. It was very soft and flavorful to the point that I didn’t use much barbeque sauce. I usually do not finish my order of ribs but I managed to finish this one. It was really good and very easy to eat.
The mashed potatoes were quite okay. It was not spectacular and I was actually craving for some gravy as it was a tad dry. Then again, eating it with the succulent ribs, I totally ignored the rice.
Now, for the highlight of the lunch… dessert!
At first, I was hesitant to order this one as I found out that the dessert of the day was crème brûlée. But, I usually believe what the server tells me so I trusted her word and ordered their “bestseller” Fried Oreos… and I did not regret it.
The fried Oreos were crispy! Served a bit warm, it went well with the vanilla ice cream. It was really good that it made me hate myself for just ordering one. I wanted more and because of this, I will definitely be back! ❤️
I'm glad I was able to finally try Rub. I think it was last December. The ribs were great. Flavorful and tender. Making me hungry right now. Matches perfectly with their rice. Too bad the place was a little small and I think it's not easy to park in that area. Which is why I cannot bring my boyfriend here because he is too maarte when it comes to parking :(

It's always nice to discover good food that doesn't kill your budget. Rub's one of those place where your tummy's happiness doesn't leave your wallet crying. A full slab + 3 sides + a pitcher of houseblend tea for 700 pesos! The place is always jampacked so it's always possible that you'll have to wait for 30 minutes to an hour to be seated.
I have to say, went to this place not really knowing what to expect. I just found some of my brother's take-aways in the fridge. Their Ribs and Utimate fries are to die for.
They live up to their name. The rub they used on their ribs and steaks were amaizing. Money never wasted, servings were big and good for sharing. But, they need bigger space as they have a lot of customer.
Affordable. Great food. Perfect sides that compliments the softness and juicy ribs. The staffs are commendable too. I wish they add more seats. As my son always say, Rub is my favorite ribs and fried chicken ever.
If you want ribs like nowhere else then Rub is the place to eat. The staff is polite and will attend to your needs as they can. Although their restaurant is small and limited and you will often see a long line outside. But when it's your turn to go in, the ambiance is just RIBS also try their Spinach Mushroom sides and Coleslaw and with some of the smokey sauce, you're in for a good time.
It was worth it eating here at Rub Ribs & BBQ. After a satisfying time at Ace Water Spa along United St., we head to Rub to try out their ribs, and all of us had a sumptuous meal. We ordered the ribs meals for one, and each plate was filled with a large serving of the tender ribs, rice, and side dish. The staff are very accommodating, and this treatment made our dinner very pleasant and fun. Wish they would expand so more can be accommodated.

Sunday's Lunch. We ordered the best seller in the menu, "Raki's Rib BBQ Super Duo". It took 20 to 25 mins to serve the dish. The meat was soft and tender as it came off from the bones easily. It has a rich BBQ flavorful and its very delicious! It has some good spicy flavor in it as well. I loved it totally and strongly recommend it.
We also ordered Cream Corn and Rub's Utlimate Fries.
I didn't quite enjoy the cream corn though. The flavors didn't add up. The creaminess was salty and weird. Didn't really go well with the sweetness of the corn. It tasted pretty odd. Something is missing and it definitely needs improvement.
Then the Rub's Ultimate Fries. Good cuts of fries topped with peices of bacon, pulled pork, diced jalapenos and melted cheese on top. It taste a bit salty but overall it was good.
The place is a bit dim, which gives you that semi-American steakhouses feels. Prices are affordable and crews are very accomodating. Will come back to try other dishes. :)

I loved the Shrimpy! The shrimps were small but the serving is plenty. The spicy garlic flavored sauce is very palatable.
After serving the appetizer, we waited for quite some time because the place was packed that time. I was overwhelmed when our main course were served because I thought we wouldn't be able to finish it. Their serving justifies the price for each meal because they're cheaper compared to other restaurants.
Their service however is not that good, I think they lack crews and the time to serve the food is kinda long.
Overall, the experience at RUB was great. We went out with fulfilled stomachs and happy pockets.

We ordered the Duo Ribs for (400 PHP) a good value for soemthing so delicious. It's nice that their sauce is seperated and is good @enought for some ricexsauce action. The ribs itself was not as meaty as we're used to, but the flavour is just so good. Pair it with their spicy fried rice for a nice even heat in your mouth. The Mac and cheese (130 PHP) is worthy side dish that's cheesy enough without being a nuclear in taste.
I first tried rub in tomas morato with my fiancée and he is a really picky eater. We ordered the super duo with fries and corn and the bbq chicken salad it was really flavorful and you will really enjoy the food that is why when i went to kapitolyo with my friends i suggested this place we ordered the ribs again with potato steaks and sprice and the bbq chicken salan again. Both of them said that it really taste good and they would try and bring other friends there or just find a way to come back. I would probably try and drag my family there too!😁
We love rub ribs!!! Well worth the price.
Must try would be ofcourse their ribs. My favorite side is the spinach and mushroom. Another favorite of ours is their very homey mac and cheese
If you are dinning in though you have to be patient since the restaurant is a bit small and can only accommodate a few groups, you might need to wait in line for an average of 20mins, specially during lunch and dinner time.. (more so during weekends)
But believe me its worth the wait!
Do not order their seafood fry. It sucks. Tastes like it was cooked in oil that was used several times to fry fish in. Ugh!
I would have liked their chicken cajun pasta better if it tasted more cajun-y. The rosemary was overpowering. But the chicken was very tasty. It made up for the whole dish.
Some part of the ribs were a bit dry. I wished it was juicier. The sauce was very good. The sides are a disappointment: the buttered corn was salty while the bacon potato salad was bland.
I looooved the iced tea! It was the only thing that was perfect!
Serving size is generous. Service could still improve. Overall, i would still come back.
There are things in life I would always buy myself to boost my mood, baby back ribs is one of them.

affordable yung ribs nila good price na compared to others. one of the best at malaki pa serving. yun kasi important for me. hindi tulad nung iba na ang mahal na nga liit pa serving ng ribs.
it would be better if there is an option for extra sauce for the ribs. that could be done via phone so i don't see why it can'tbe done in an online system. i love their ribs! it's delicious and affordable. their bacon mac and cheese is also a must try.
Great experience ever.We lounged like provincial pashas, feasted on duck tagine and pastilla, and thrilled when the lights dropped, the music surged and the staff led the room in rhythmic clapping as the cool young owner dance-carried a cake to George Lucas at a nearby table.
Really tasty ribs and affordable too! Their family platter can fully satiate 4-5 people. I will surely bring the boyfriend next time we are at the Kapitolyo area
So I have heard about this place from friends and they raved about it. Since I was craving for some ribs I thought of coming here for dinner. My wife and I arrived at around 830pm and before we did I was anticipating a long line but we were able to park right in front (lucky) and was able to get a table right away. I liked the garlic mashed potato and the spiced fried rice and the ribs was good. Downside was my extra order of grilled buttered corn did not and I even followed it up midway through our meal. But hey, at least the ribs was savory and I was a happy camper despite my failed extra order.
Ate on this place more than 5x. Yes that is how much I love this place. Ribs cheaper than others yet taste even better. Sidings that is never scrimpt. Fried oreos, oh love!
Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous ribs is my all time favorite. Rub Ribs is the closest I've eaten so far in Manila. Pair it with splice -- that's the definition of heaven!
My only con: More space please. Cheers! :)
