Good for family or friends gathering. Sumptuous Filipino Dishes esp their Buchon. Small seating capacity though. We had our mini reunion here last January and ordered Zubuchon Lechon, pork sisig, Ensaladang Talong with Itlog na Maalat, garlic rice, guinataang langka and baked scallops.

We ordered a small lechon, baked scallops and a quick meal of chorizo, since I'm not a fan of lechon (I don't eat one) served with rice and their monggo soup.

Their baked scallops as their appetizer is everything. So delicious!

Their take on their monggo soup has a gata mixture (coconut milk). The flavor is new to me but it's okay.

Their lechon accdg to my partner is okay but not the best one.

We left the restaurant full. Service is also good.

Not really a fan of lechon but will always be back here because their lechon is so tasty that al you need is vinegar. Even the other food in the menu are all worth it.

Ordered & tried their Fast Meal. Hope for a bigger serving. Friendly staffs. Service is good. Attentive staffs.
Hope paalisin muna ang customers before taking the plates. Hindi naman nakakaabala eh. Para tuloy minamadali kang umalis. Lechon taste is ver good for me. One of my fave lechon. Tasted their pakbet before, so good too. Very pinoy local cuisine. Love it.

The lechon skin was crispy. The chorizo rice was flavorful. However, the scallops were too small for the price. I'd still come back here for the lechon though.

We didn’t get the solo meal sets cause we thought serving would be small (based on their menu’s photo) but other tables ordered meal sets and we saw that the serving was actually pretty — value for money at P290. Anyway, maybe we’ll get that next time but here’s what we ordered: Medium Boneless Lechon, Lechon Sisig, Monggo, Pinakbet, and a platter of plain rice (plus 2 extra bowls of rice) — all these for 5 people.

Everything was good. I liked their sisig and monggo the most but as expected, everything was sinful and oily (even their pinakbet). Their lechon tasted good without any sauce as expected from any lechon Cebu but the skin is not crunchy (I wish it was). Overall, it’s a good place for people who are looking for some lechon treat, but I won’t recommend it as an everyday option. 😂

Tried the Megamall Branch of Zubuchon and ordered the Zubuchon Sisig (P240), Zubuchon Monggo (P230), Medium order of Boneless (P630) and Medium order of Original Spicy (P630). We got 4 plain rice (P40 each). For our drinks, we ordered 3 Kaimito Shakes (P120 each) and a Mango Shake. For dessert, we had Biko (P70) and an Ube Cheesecake (P110).

We ordered a lot of pig, didn't we? The sisig was good but I prefer the crunchy versions of Manam and Trellis. The first time I tasted their monggo at their San Antonio branch I loved it, but here it was just okay. Of course, the lechon bits would kick it up a notch. So would the addition of coconut cream in lechon broth but somehow it did not wow me like before.

The Kaimito shakes, however, were stellar. They reminded me of our house in Sto. Domingo where we had a lot of star apple trees and the fruits would just fall when ripened. They were sweet and succulent. The Mango was ordinary.

The reason for their fame did not fail them, though. The spicy original really makes my day, anytime, anyday. The creamy texture and right fat-to-lean meat ratio crowned by the tasty and crispy, blistered skin that was sprayed with coconut water while roasting really puts the spotlight on Philippine lechon over other similarly roasted pigs. The advantage of the boneless is that you're getting more meat for the size and weight. I found it too fat for me and still prefer the taste complexities offered by bone-in Original.

Their steaming hot biko is still my favorite here, but the Ube Cheesecake is now my second choice and reserve order.

Kicking off my reviews with Zubuchon after a two-year hiatus makes for a promising comeback! Spared myself a visit while in Cebu a little over three years ago because my heart was won over by its local rival. Today, I kicked myself silly for doing so after a quick taste of its Ginataang Langka and a teeny bite of the Boneless lechon piece! So yes, I did make the wrong decision to wait this long!

To start, the lechon was not as seasoned as its competitor’s but there was something homey and homemade-like in what I savored in each perfectly tendered slices. I say perfectly-tendered because it’s not the sort to fall off the bones (well, I couldn’t really say because we were served the boneless variant) but there was the right level of chewiness that I look for in lechon. The fat slices didn’t taste gamey nor terrifyingly-heart-attack-inducing at all which is a plus!

The Ginataang Langka was really the one that caught me by surprise! It’s not something I have tasted from anywhere. It was so rich but not oily, chunks were tender but not mushy, and wasn’t salty at all. It was the perfect partner to a plateful of lechon.

I was also served a tall glass of Kamias chiller which was a first for me. Tasted ok, not sour as I expected. Wasn’t too thrilled.

What is equally appealing to me, as is usual, is the level of customer service of the crew. Each was uber-polite and smily and looked very pleased to serve the patrons. They were also surprisingly attentive, filling glasses with water as needed without being hawk-ey.

We ate here for the first time. We ordered zubuchon boneless, kalabasa soup, baked scallops and 3 citrus ice tea.

Everything was affordable and serving was good for 2-3 person.

Staffs were accommodating.

Ambiance was just okay.

I really loved the ice tea, it was delicious and very citrusy! 💖💖

The lechon was just okay but its skin was crispy. Their kalabasa soup was not my type, I preferred creamy kalabasa soup.

We had a single serving of original lechon and munggo and the servings were good for 3 people. The lechon was tasty and very tender while the munggo soup was thick and creamy. I would have preferred it to have had tinapa though for that smokier flavor.

Arrived early at around 10:30 am. But been curious since there's always long lines during rush hour and weekends. Since it's just the 2 of us we ordered:
✅Zubuchon boneless lechon
✅Garlic rice platter
✅Baked scallops
✅3 citrus tea
Mind you, the tea was delicious not too sweet just like the powdered drinks. At first i thought we were going to order another platter of rice but nope. We were full. As in busog bec the servings were great! Not too big and not too small. Worth your money. They made the lechon less salty to suit different palates. You can just create your own sawsawan. I think one of their best-sellers is their Baked scallops. So delicious! The lechon- crispy skin and juicy meat on the inside (although i preferred crispy pork fat). You gotta eat here. We'll be back to try other dishes.
Kudos to the attentive staff!

It was a long day and decided to fulfill my cravings of Visayan style Lechon! Ordered the Original Lechon, Salted Egg & Tomato Salad, Sizzling Squid stuffed w/Sisig, Crab Relleno, Chicharon, Biko, Suman and Leche Flan. Yup..that was a lot and worth every bite! Everything was fresh and tasted great. the lechon is the star! I love how Visayan’s marinate their Lechon. The spices they use and the aroma and taste of the lemon grass makes us so delicious. That crispy skin...yum!

Tried Zubuchon at SM Megamall cos it was referred to us by a friend.

The lechon is really good and di siya dry, i ordered the spicy boneless but for me it's not spicy enough mejo walang anghang talaga.

They also serve a saucer w tomatoes, onions & sili w it. So ang bongga kumpleto ang rekado for the sawsawan.

Ang sarap ng crab relleno, seryoso. Kahit mukang maliit sobrang daming laman. Good for sharing naman siya ferness.

Price is just right, Inferness di sila overpriced. And ang pak ng ambiance.

Idk if meron neto dito sa south pero hopefully meron para mas malapit ☺️☺️☺️

Their lechon is great compared to the Zubuchon in Makati. Malutong talaga ung skin and ung lasa ng lechon is just right. But their chicharon is not that good, like maanta na nung naserve samin. Anyway, all and all, still thumbs up! 😊

Anthony Bourdain famously anointed Zubuchon “the best pig ever”. That’s major.

After surviving the gauntlet of beaming, chirpy servers (who know their brand’s history and were not fazed by our questions), we finally got to sit down to dinner.

Well...it was good. But this pig was rather pale and delicate. The skin was like brittle (the candy), or tuiles. Crispy, for sure, but it just kind of melted into nothing. Everything else was satisfactory.

I dunno, you guys. I guess I’m really just a Luzon- (or Northern) style lechon fan. I’ll take a beautifully browned and lacquered pig, modestly seasoned with salt and pepper, from the streets of Manila over this any day. And my mouth NEEDS the liver sauce (They do offer Mang Tomas in Zubuchon. It must kill the owners, LOL.), which better complements lechon than the caustic, tongue-numbing pinakurat (spiced vinegar). I’m not sold on your meat and sauce pairing, Cebuanos. It makes no sense to my palate.

Zubuchon is still worth a visit, if you love Cebu lechon. I mean, it was waaaay better than my Rico’s experience.

Dinuguan and the Lechon are our default orders.

Ensaladang Kamatis and Salted Egg were okay.

Sinigang na Lechon was too sour and viscous for my preference. My friends loved it though.

Can't pin my finger on it, but I love the taste of the food and the ambience from the Makati branch more.

Zubuchon is Anthony Bourdain's fave lechon as it is mine too. I have been to the San Antonio, Makati branch. It is bigger. No suprise that this branch is my go-to spot to get my lechon craving satisfied as it is a close taxi ride away from work.

I always order my usual which is Original Lechon and have it spicy. And also a group order of Garlic Fried Rice. Sometimes I do get an order of their mouth-watering Biko.

I request for the rib portion of the lechon. I find the rib meat more flavorful. I must also admit that I enjoy eating off the bones, and cleaning them off. It's like a meat lollipop so to speak. LOL!

I have never dined in at this branch. But while I wait for my food, I sometimes get a Kamias shake and drink it while waiting. It is dissapointing that they don't have take-out glasses for such drinks. Please, Zubuchon, make it possible!

Food: 5.0 - The best and porkiest lechon. Without the MSG and organic farmed pigs, the lechon tastes so clean, making the pork flavor standout.

Price: 5.0 - Menu may seem pricey, but the serving size is actually generous, so it is actually affordable.

Service: 5.0 - Even if it's only take-out, while I wait, servers are very attentive and always smiling.

Ambience: 4.0 - Obviously there is very limited space as compared to the Makati branch. The chairs and tables I find at too close to each other. The design of the place has that signature red of Zubuchon, clean and modern furnishings. The lechon chopping block at the front of the restaurant is always inviting to look at. 😁🐷🐽

Besides the take-out glasses, I wish for delivery as well. Hoping in the near future.

First time in Zubuchon Megamall and we had just eaten merienda when we passed by I couldn’t resist so we ordered for take out 1) Medium (more than half a kilo accdg to the waiter) Boneless Lechon, 2) Adobong Kang Kong, 3) Rice platter and 4) Chicharon. The server (Mike) was very pleasant and attentive. He had us sit down because it would take a few minutes to prepare. He even served water and peanuts (which they also sell). I would have given a perfect score of 5 but the skin was no longer as crispy as I had hoped, still good, but no crunch. But not to worry, I have found the solution to making lechon belly skin crisp up again, to find out - head on over to my instagram account @RIA_litybites and check out my recent post on Zubuchon. You might find it useful!

Also, we were choosing between Original roast pig / lechon or Boneless. The latter had the description “no bones, all belly, more fat” on the menu board so it was a no brainer!

We have been to zubuchon a couple of times and our usual order is their boneless cebu lechon and it always satisfies us and the service as well. So on our last visit, we decided to try a diffrent dish since we lately arrived and the lechon is already sold out.

We tried out the sinigang na lechon and the slow cooked adobo.

Sinigang na lechon 3/5 rating - the soup is too sour thats it! i can't even appreciate the taste of the lechon.

Slow cooked adobo 3/5 rating - too oily and it doesn't event taste like it was cooked on soy sauce and vinegar. its not adobo for my taste.

My suggestion to zubuchon is to revise your recipe. I dont know if its also the same taste as it is in Cebu, but I must say that those dishes disappoint us big time. Although we will stil eat there just only for the cebu lechon and thats it!

I highly suggest for you to just order enough quantity of lechon then get a side dish to lessen the umay and eat lechon moderately :)

Pleasantly surprised with their lechon. The ensaladang talong I ordered went really well with it too. Prices are competitive and reasonable. I thought this was some sort of a fast food joint at first, possibly because it was near some of the fast food places in Megamall, but I was wrong. Definite must try for lechon lovers.

Finally got to taste this without having to go to Cebu. Thank you Mr Marketman for sharing your lechon in Manila (near QC 😄). Highly recommended. We had the monggo and it reminded me of my mom's cooking. Very crunchy lechon skin and the fish taco's very good, though some of the fish skin is not crunchy🤔. Halo2x is the best as well as the leche flan, old school with right amount of sweetness. Service is good, fast and attentive servers. I just dont think that personal lives of staff should be discussed during service time( literal na chismisan) you cannot help but hear it, since ortigas branch is small.

I’ve been accustomed to getting Lechon in parties as more of a habit. I never really enjoyed its hard, greasy and bland meat. It is also dependent on sauce to make it tasty.

Zubuchon was the exact opposite. I loved how tender it was. The whole plate was consistent both in softness of meat and flavor. Its skin was crunchy, and salty enough to give you a high!

I ordered Pinakbet as well to somehow lessen the guilt. For just Php 180, it was surprisingly too much in serving size. It wasn’t the best but it sure impressed me on portions.

I can’t wait to visit here again. I do need foodies to come with me so I can order their other best sellers. Am eyeing as early as now their Zubuchon Sisig, Binakol and Seafood Kare Kare.

We liked Zubuchon food. We were somewhat annoyed that they were not serving Lechon in the restaurant for the reason that they had too many takeaway orders. Also the servers were too much in the festive mood to pay attention to service.

The best dishes we had were Ginataang Langka, Binakol na Manok and Ensaladang Kamatis at Itlog. These were very tasty. Beef Kusahos (semi dry beef tapas) and Bangus Sisig were so-so. Daing Fried Rice was good. The desserts - Ube Cheesecake and Biko - were good.

Honey Calamansi and Pineapple Orange were our beverages.

I love this place for a lot of reasons mainly because of the way they prepare the lechon; they allow you to see how they cut and serve the lechon through a glass window in the front and they get fresh delivered lechon every before an eating hour. They also make great desserts and serve them in their own style.

We saw this new lechon restaurant which originated in Cebu opened up in SM Megamall. We got curious as to why it always has willing to wait customers despite the queue just to be able to dine here. So, we tried the famous lechon and it’s really sumptuous. The skin is crunchy, you would hear the crackling sound when you bite it and the pork is very juicy and yummy. The sisig, stuffed squid, adobo and dinuldog (squash with shrimp) were delicious. The dinuguan and siomai are just okay. If you love lechon, this restaurant is definitely a must-visit. 🙂

The best pig in Cebu is now Manila 😁 that distinct zubuchon lechon cebu taste! As someone who have tasted authentic cebu lechon I can say that they are not just a name they really serve true cebu lechon. Crispy skin and meat that's tasty and juicy. You don't even need mang tomas cause the lechon itself is enough. I was also looking forward for the kamias shake cause I loved it when I got to taste it in cebu, it wasn't available though when we visited megamall branch. This could have been a 5 if I did not have to ask for my check thrice from differenf servers. Overall, the food was great, I felt like I really was in Cebu while dining ☺

Too much hype ruined my meal.

Tagged as the best pig by the famous Anthony Bourdain, I expect to have a heavenly feeling while eating their famous lechon. I ordered both spicy and regular. Serving size is enough for 2 - 3 persons (small) but when I ate it, it taste like a regular lechon so nothing special.

If you’re planning to dine in Zubuchon, be ready to wait for a few minutes before getting a table. I waited for around 30 minutes before getting a seat. 30 minutes is not that bad because their service is fast.

We ordered Baked Scallops for our appetizer, a small platter of Boneless Lechon Belly and Steamed Rice. The baked scallops were good. I liked how its topping is so rich in garlic and butter flavor. The cheese mixed with it wasn’t that overwhelming also. I ended up finishing more than a third of the platter. For the infamous lechon, we opted to order Boneless instead of the Original or Classic one because we were really hungry. One small platter is enough for 3 people especially you have another dish to share. As declared, the Boneless Lechon has more fat in it. It was good and sinful at the same time. I liked how soft the meat was but it was more flavorful after placing some sauce on it. One tip - if you wanna have Boneless, try asking the server straight up if it’s still available. We dined during the lunch hour and we had the last order of the Boneless Lechon. Zubuchon has a delivery of one whole lechon three times a day so to make sure you get your specific lechon orders right, try checking the delivery times of the lechon. I think there’s one during their opening hour, after lunch hour and before dinner time.
