Went here for a holiday dinner. The place was marvellously decorated. They also had an in-house piano player! Festive, indeed. Great food, with large servings. The kare-kare was the bomb!!! Servers were attentive too. Will be back :)

The owner, Doc Vasquez, was so cordial and he really made us feel at home. And while the place was nothing short of festive and grandiosely quaint, the food was every bit superb! Hands down.
My wife and I are vacationing from New York City. We were brought by my cousin and her husband to have lunch at Cafe Juanita today. I am so impressed first of all by your staff, MAR. Very attentive and guided us through the choice of food. The Kare-kare, bagnet, shrimps in coconut milk, spring rolls were ALL SUPERLATIVES. Masarap lahat. The ambience is warm and cozy. I will recommend this Place to our friends back home as a "have to visit and dine place"! Congratulations and thank you for a beautiful dining experience! Both the food and service by MAR is excellent!
Cafe Juanita never fails to amaze me, all these years, they have always been consistent - from their excellent service to the very good food. I held my mom and dad's surprise birthday party here today and everyone had a great time and they could not stop raving about the food! We will always come back to Cafe Juanita. Special shoutout to Manager Jun and his staff who was very attentive in everything we needed. Keep it up! οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½
Another great dining experience at Cafe Juanita. Consistent favorites are Sinigang, Kare-Kare and Crispy Pata. But discovered a new favorite appetizer - crispy spring rolls! And it's the attention to details that makes the ambience and the service one of a kind. Love this place.
Love the place! great ambiance, food is really good, staffs are all friendly..excellent service..surely will come again!.highly recommended to my friends.Thumbs up!
It was an amazing experience. The place is unique and I love it. The servers are very polite and friendly and the food is really good. My favorite is the bagnet, it felt like I was back in Ilocos 4 years ago.οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½
I have visited the place twice already. I love the food and the ambiance is very comfortable and romantic. I particularly like their Shrimp Okoy, Kare-kare and crispy pata.

Really had a nice time at Cafe Juanita. Delicious food especially their Kare-kare β‘β‘β‘.
Very affordable place to bring your family and friends. We came all the way from Laguna (Sta Cruz, Los BaΓ±os and Cabuyao) and it really exceeded our expectations and left the place with a big smile...
Two thumbs up.
Thank you Cafe Juanita.
Yesterday, we had asort of despedida dinner for a friend of ours who was flying back to Canada, and we decided to go to Cafe Juanita.
Barrio Kaplitolyo in Mandaluyong is full of good places to eat, and we count Cafe Juanita as one of them, especially if we are craving traditional Filipino dishes. The ambiance is that of a spanish-chinese house full of fixtures and furnishing that is reminiscent of a well-to-do turn-of-the-century Pinoy home. The waiters are friendly and helpful, and the proprietor came and visited with us for a while, as he has done before - very Pinoy in that the home's owner makes an effort to make you feel welcome, and the food, is, of course, excellent.
We will come back again, as we have done several times before, and hopefully, Doc will stop by our table again for a chat.
The place was packed for breakfast, but it was great to be able to find a table for 4 at 9:30am. The interiors led you to a homey experience that makes you go back to the 90s or even 80s. It becomes a good starting off point for conversations.
My friends and I stayed there for 3 hours enjoying our breakfast/brunch food. 2 of us had the crispy corned beef which I really liked. My other friends had the longganisa and the tocino. They both liked theirs as well.
The prices are affordable. We also had our coffees and tried their kouign amann. The kouign was not as sticky or flaky as most that I've tried, but it was still good - - though it was more "bready".
My friends also tried the canonigo. I didn't get to try it but I saw it vanish quite quickly.
I'd definitely go back and have a nice brunch with friends or family here. Such a titas/titos kind of place which I love - - chill, homey, comfortable with good food.
I love the ambience of this restaurant. It's so homey. Came across this restaurant one Friday evening and I decided to dine in upon seeing how relaxing the place is. I got to try their liempo with rice and it was so good, I finished it right away. It was tender and sweet, perfect with their vinegar. I also liked their calamansi juice which is reasonably priced at P61! It's fresh and goes well with your meal! Will definitely come back with family and friends so I can try more of their dishes.
Would rate this resto more of a 3.5 or 3.75...we average the ambience which was a 4.5 for me and the food which was a 3. We ordered their sizzling bulalo which was the star of our brunch. The other stuff we ordered were just okay - the truffle pasta the cheese steak sandwich and the rellenong talong. The place looked like an old house thus the cozy ambience - with the different old knickknacks from toys to appliances scattered throughout the resto. All in all would like to try their breakfast fare next time... It's their specialty anyway...
Reserved the place for an event. Food was good and was worth for what we paid for. Customer service was great. The ambiance was really nice, as it has a nice homey feel to it.
What I love about Irving's is it feels just like home but better. I like the quaint interiors with a clutter of different decor from decades past: old toys, bikes, maps, paintings, antiques, and lots and lots of plants. The food is great. With a familiar selection and a sufficient number of unusual picks which are all definitely worth a try. I am a fan of the breakfast platter which I oftentimes default to. The pancakes are wonderful. So is the champorado. And I could come and sit with coffee, hot chocolate, and kouign amann anytime.
An old house converted to a restaurant makes the ambience of the place really nice and homey (like Cafe Juanita). Tried their sizzling tofu (nothing special) but their crispy binagoongan is really good! Ordered cafe latte and a slice of something similar to Brazo de Mercedes (but they have a different name for it) for dessert.
I suggest going here on weekdays as the place is almost empty and I had a nice quiet time while enjoying the good food. The staff are nice and attentive too! As for the price, itβs a little expensive as compared to other nearby restaurants but the whole experience is worth it. Will definitely be back and try their other dishes!
Great Food! Good Ambience! Nice and accomodating restaurant staff! the only downside is the food is a bit pricy! but nevertheless i would recommend this resto to others to dine in!
Been here for three times with my friends and we never get disappointed. First, we really like the ambiance. It's like an ancestral home complete with old furnitures and stuff like grand piano and old typewriter. Our favorite spot there is the dining area beside the glass window. Eating while staring outside specially at night gives us relax feelings and good vibes. The crews are very polite and they are very attentive to our needs. As for their foods, one of our favorite is their kansi bulalo. It's a little bit pricey but the taste worth the price. The sourness of the soup is very exact same as the tenderness of the beef. We also tried their pasta and pizza and we also liked it. Overall the rating is:
Ambiance - ββββ The place is quite and not overcrowded. Perfect if you want intimate dinner.
Food - ββββ Very delicious. We always crave for their kansi bulalo (their best seller as the crew said)
Price - βββ As I have said, its a little bit pricey but the taste worth it.
This new incarnation of Breakfast at Juanita's continues to charm us with its breakfasts.
We had Beef Tapa and Salpicao - each with rice, fried egg, atchara and banana slices. Tender beef and yummy! Coffee and hot chocolate were good too
I am giving this place a silver medal just yet beacuse we only tried a couple of simple meals.
I ordered the crispy corned beef. Yes, sounds silly but it is ooohh, wanna eat some more, soo good. Haha exaj. But yes it goes very well with the egg and the fried rice.
My friend ordered the Breakfast Sampler which includes a single piece of Tapa, Longganisa and 2 types of fish. I think one's tuyo. Haven't asked how good it is since we were catching up in such a hood ambience.
Having that said, the place rocks a rustic and vintage vibe. It's so good that you can feel the 70s to 90s event though you never saw things designed. I think the things around were collections of the owner and were taken cared of greatly. 5 stars to the place and will defiintely give that 0.5 short of a point when I go back.
Recommnded for a nice talk woth friends and family.

Will never forget our experience in this resto. We felt cared and special. π I arrived early with my close friend. He stayed with me loving the feel of the place while we await my other dear friend that I have not seen for almost years.
A few diners has left the area but my old friend still haven't reached the half part of our catching up when we decided to order dinner. π
We had the liempo from their all day breakfast menu and an order of the kansi/bulalo sisig. I think that is what it's called. It has it's delicious and savory gravy and the bulalo meat is so tender that I wanted to order an additional cup of rice. The liempo is also flavorful and appetizing served with garlic rice, vinegar, tomato and pickled onion.
The servers were so courteous, nice and very accomodating especially the one named Sherwin... He answered our query about my friend's planning to have her baby shower in Irving's and shared some of the historical background of the resto. We learned that the owners are doctors and the owners of Irving's and π½ Cafe Juanita are blood related tooπ
Finally to wrap up the night we decided to have our last meal. I ordered cafe latte and my friend Pistacchio cake...oh myπ€ told her I will just taste it but I could not help myself eating half of the small round cake she sliced for me. Mind you they did not even argue nor ever display any unwillingness on their faces when we asked our dessert to be served on the veranda instead... I would go back here when I want to drink cafe latte in a cozy and homey placeπ
The night was unforgettable. It was holiday and I think we were the last customer who walked out of it. Thank you Irving's and to Sherwin and the whole crew. πππππ

Restaurant staff were accomodating and nice, they let us have additional orders from their sister restaurant, Cafe Juanita.
The restaurant itself exudes almost the same vibe as Cafe Juanita, if not a little more homey.
Enjoyed their appetizers: crunchy tawilis, crispy okoy and salpicao. Loved their fresh dalandan shake! ππππ
Irving's menu is pretty similar to Cafe Juanita. Ordered breakfast sampler because I can't decide what to have for breakfast. Food is OK but a bit pricey (as was Cafe Juanita). Place looks amazing tho.
We had a lovely time, very well served by Joel and Sherwin! Irving's is so warm and cozy, we loved it. We loved the arroz caldo, prawns, kansi, truffle pasta, siomai, fried chicken, crispy corned beef...
Impressive collection of periodic stuff! And the clock behind us was working, too! My sister was fascinated by the old cash register. ππ½
Irving's has been our go to place for some downtime and a good meal after work.
We like the ambiance. It's never full, airconditioning is just right and the waiters are attentive & friendly.
The dish we keep coming back for is their bulalo kansi. They give you a small serving to taste and have it adjusted to your liking
before it is served. The serving size is big enough to share too. It has a generous serving of the bulalo meat and "utak" plus tr veggies. It's perfect for when you're not feeling well or simply just craving for bulalo without having to travel far out to Tagaytay or Batangas.
The creme brulee was nice, cake was good and although the palitaw wasn't your usual one, I guess that's their take on it.
We've previously tried their buttermilk chicken but didn't really like it. There was no buttery nor milky taste to it. It was plain fried chicken and the parts that they used seemed to be mostly the fatty part :(
Salt and pepper squid was alright but almost tasted like the crackers (kropeck) it came with. The vinegar dip helped a bit.
They also often have food items missing from the menu quite a bit so the place could really use some help on inventory and even developing the menu altogether. Some listed in there have been "coming soon" for a while now.
Obviously, the 4.0 rating was raked in by their bulalo kansi mostly.

I had a pre-holiday brunch get-together with some officemates here. I found the tastefully decorated with interesting curios and artwork displayed, plus with a great window seating that can serve as a good backdrop for IG posts.
Not so impressed with what I ordered, though. The bangus breakfast was unremarkable.
