Kapitolyo branch is now CLOSED (25 June 2017). Crabwich burger was good for the price and pretty tasty. Serving size was also very good, up to 1.5 pax.
We went here with a group of friends last night because I was curious about the soft shell crab burger basically.
One can eat the whole crab with its soft shell! It was our first time to experience it, and one of us actually found a video on youtube on how a soft shell crab comes about.
We ate it as a burger with the sweet mango salsa paired with fries (additional 25). I ordered it as a taco, which was less visually impressive compared to the burger but I liked it better because it felt lighter than the burger.
We also had the buy 1, take 1 mojito promo, which were served in mason jars (so yea, it was actually a good value because they were big and only half the price). But well, I was with boys and they preferred their brew kettle after the mojitos.
Another one had fish and chips, and the pasta. My sister found her pasta also delicious.
This is definitely a place for seafood enthusiasts with both the food and the place trying hard to emulate the beachside.
Is this place amazing?
No.
Is it good for the price?
Yes.
The service was really good but a few notes. The sardines in the 3 Fish Pasta had a few bones and was bland, the Chicken wings are a hard pass for next time although it is acceptable as they do not seem to specialize with non-seafood, the dessert, chocolate cake? with ice cream and the fish and chips were just okay, but their Soft shell crab burger and Fish taco are musts.
Would I go back?
Probably. But this wouldn't be my first choice in the area.

Hidden with other hole in the wall concepts in Kapitolyo, Crunch Crab serves your favorite comfort seafood. Our group ordered their soft shell crab burger and pasta. Both were just right and was quite filling. Will be back for a chill and relaxing meal
The ambiance was cool. It will make you feel like its summer again and surfing on the beach.
The service here was ok. The lady in the counter was attentive. I went here to judge for my self if the crab burger is real.. It caught me off guard
The burger was not that big like i expected it
But the crab taste and texture was there even though its full of breading, maybe its for the binding of the crab. The shrimp bucket was a not that daring to me. Given the choices of sauces you want, it just end up as a normal shrimp... For me the shrimp was a disappointment.
This is overrated by the few.

Wow a brave little place that serves soft shell crab burgers!!! Amazing. The burger was good but could be better. Maybe a better bun, or some roasted black pepper mayo and lime instead of the salsa... Nonetheless I can't wait to go back to try the salted egg shrimps/ crab.
They have great service and the place is nice. I tried their crab burger and while it did taste good, I was a bit disappointed as there was more breading than actual crab. Too little serving of fries, as well. Would probably come back here to try their buckets, though.
It's another KAPITrip, this time my best friend, Maloushky and I travelled to 5 restaurants. Kapitolyo continues to grow and I'll continue to search nice dining experiences here.
Crunchy Crab is the best one of the five. Two main reasons. Ambiance fits it's concept. It's dressed up properly with a nice feel of the sea. Price point to food quality is up there.
Their best selling Crunchy Crab Burger looked and tasted good! The salty crunchy feel of the crab was complemented well with sweet mango salsa.
I also like the flavor of their shrimp bucket. Unlike others where it's left on the shell, theirs penetrate to all parts of the shrimp. Must order.
For soft-shell crab cravings, Crunchy Crab is the place to go. Soft-shell crab breaded & deep-fried, crunchy outside but soft an tender inside. Oh well, it wont hurt to have a bucket of shrimps in salted egg sauce. The shrimps are sweet and succulent. The sauce is rich and tasty.
Me and my family loved it! Everything we ordered - burgers, shrimps, fish and chips, Buffalo wings, and iced tea - all yummy! Tip: parking might be a challenge.
I loove seafood! The soft shell crab burger was the best compared to the soft shell crab taco and shrimp bucket we ordered (its their specialty!). It had lovely texture as well as great flavors from the crab, the sauce and salsa. The shrimps made my mouth itch tho.
We were food crawling this area and were piqued by the idea of a soft-shell crab burger. It took a while, but it was a decent offering worth waiting for.
A whole softshell crab was breaded and deep fried - which is basically the main way of consuming this delicacy - and garnished with lettuce and mango salsa. I'd love to have this as a salad, please! The crab was cooked correctly; it isn't hard to make this dish even more memorable.
This is a provisional review; there's crab and shrimp boil to try, fish tacos, and their calamansi cupcake. I look forward to trying other items.
Shrimps and Crabs place! 😍
The first thing I tried here was their SanFo Fish & Chips. I'm not a big fan of fish & chips... and true enough I wasn't a big fan of this one. I found it pretty oily. The batter was nice and crispy though. My friends liked it a lot, mostly because of the aioli theu serve it with. 😊
I've tried their Soft Shell Crab Taco and their Soft Shell Crab Burger. I liked both but really enjoyed the TACO more than the burger. After trying the taco, I found the burger to be not as flavorful. The burger is definitely an experience eating since they put an entire soft shell crab in it (which looks like you're eating a spider... makes it twice as fun)! 😂
The owner was very nice and accommodating. The servers were also very attentive. They even allowed us to rearrange their tables and chair! 😁😝
You can call ahead and reserve since they can get pretty full on a weekend. 😊
My siblings and I dined here during their soft opening and their food was great. We loved the pasta, wings, soft shell taco and soft shell burger! Their iced tea was good too! Everything here was great except for the sold out dishes/desserts that we wanted to try but we understand the unavailability because they're only on their soft opening.
I'll surely comeback here and try their shrimp bucket!

It's not Dampa but the food here will satisfy anyone who loves seafood. It's a different take on seafood with their soft shell crab burger and their shrimp and crab buckets.
We tried the shrimp bucket with coconut sauce (really good with hot rice), buffalo wings, 3-fish pasta in olive oil (taste was perfect 👌🏻) and their specialty, soft shell crab burger with real potato fries. It's also quite affordable. All our orders were less than Php1000, that's with 2 orders of iced tea already. We're definitely looking forward to coming back soon to try their other dishes.
Interior was also relaxed and comfortable, really gave you the atmosphere of a beach shack. Staff was courteous, attentive and friendly. It's a bit hard to hard to find as it has no big sign posted outside but just look for the building that houses Uncle Moe's/Nav/Longanissa Supresa (across Ace Water Spa). Parking is limited but street parking is available. Just ask for assistance from Manong Guard who also escorts you to the restaurant.
