Tried the New Spicy Karaage Ramen. Sugoi! Very Tasty and generous servings! Oiishi! Authentic Japanese Ramen at a very reasonable price. Will comeback to try their other offerings :) Special Thanks to Chef Takashi for the warm welcome ^^
Good Service though slow in cooking the food.
Always loved to eat our hot noodle soup near my daughter's place.
Good selections of Japanese food! We had the Gyoza Cheese Fondue which we were excited to have and it did not disappoint, worth the money for the generous serving of cheese and fat gyoza :p
We also had their Takashi Shoyu Ramen, decent ramen but noodles were hard by default which we did not expect. Caramelized onions were tasty nonetheless.
Beef Teriyaki was also good, flavor was super rich.
Tried their own version of Katsudon one time. It was good, nothing special, but still it's filling and satisfying. Better than Yoshinoya with its japanese rice that makes it more comfortable to use chopsticks. It's good enough to satisfy my hunger after coming out of heavy-lifting gym day.
I think I will come back here in the future to try their other dishes.
I was invited to a birthday celebration hence the many food and blurry photos.
I managed to try most of those we ordered and it was all OK. Nothing spectacular but it won't disappoint you either. Their ramen might not be on par with those big names but it is also a good order for me.
One thing that stood out for me is their togue appetizer with the rice-soup combo. It was spicy and delicious, even asked the server for refills.
A good place for a quick Japanese fix. Conveniently located at Pioneer Center Supermarket Kapitolyo. I loved their Katsu Curry and Salmon Teriyaki Maki, worth every peso.
We have dined here several times now. I always had Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen and terriyaki chicken. The noodle is chewy which is good, their rice set is also good. The tonkotsu is okay but their side dish is yummy. Also had the coffee jelly ice cream, yummy.
Value for money! Always a good feeling being able to get good value for what you pay. Well presented, good taste and serving quantity. Staff are always on the lookout for your needs and requests.
We only tried 2 dishes but we were very happy.
Will definitely come back when in the area or try the Makti branch.
😋 Tuna sashimi
😋 California maki
I got sick a week ago and had to switch my diet to non oily, non spicy, non dairy and bland food.
So basically I was deprived of the good food and have been waiting for my stomach to get better for this. 😂
I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen ❤️
Not sure why it's colored black but it tasted goood, it was thin soup but I found myself getting a sip after each noodle slurp.
The fried garlic slivers was where the garlic taste was coming from and the Chashu that came with it was normal. I found tiny bits of garlic towards the end but they were bitter so I don't think they're supposed to be eaten anyway lol
Service was fast and courteous and I love that the music was modern but sang in Japanese!
Complete selection of your Japanese must-haves: ramen, sushi, tempura, katsudon and others.
Ramen was tasty enough, sushi was of good quality and gyoza was good as well.
Reasonable pricing. Value for money.
Staff is helpful and attentive.
You can cross order desserts in Kissako restaurant next door, and that's a plus.
Good ramen for the price point which is relatively cheap for authentic ramen. Other meals are good too. They have katsudon, pork curry, and sushi.
Not my first time to go here. I went back for the spicy tuna. Now, the spicy tuna is no longer good. :(
Overall, good value for money. Maki's are affordable.
Visited this place when i had a terrible cold. Had Tan Tan Ramen, peanut based broth, spicy, tangy and creamy. Soothing and edgy. Pork Tonkatsu was succulent. Definitely alleviated my congestion. Will definitely visit this again.😋
Random night out with friends and against traffic and all odds, ended up here for a "Ramen Night". We got there and luckily, there were still seats available. Really fast service. We were starving and waiting time took less than 10 mins. Super affordable for the quality and quantity of food served. Lively atmosphere as its a busy dinner. Awesome and attentive staff as well. Had a great night! Always coming back to this place for the reason above. 👍🏼😍
Needed a quick japanese curry fix. Takashi was accessible and offered japanese food at a reasonable price. Their tan-tan ramen and katsu curry are passable. The tan-tan ramen had that hint of peanut and porky flavor, but did not hit that right level sweet-salty-umami dimension. The katsu curry was also decent but the katsu was heavily oiled and the curry just needed a little more sweet-salty taste. Still, it sated my craving just enough. Might come back if I have no time to drop by any other japanese resto in kapitolyo.

Takashi Japanese Cuisine - Kapitolyo, Pasig
Crazy Maki Sushi- P180.00
Chirashi Sushi- P290.00
Kani Salad- P85.00
I and my sister had a late dinner. Servers are prompt and attentive. They have a wide variety of Japanese cuisine. Crazy maki sushi is to die for, its so good! The chirashi sushi contains fresh sashimi and they plated it so well. Kani salad was average, nothing too special. Free cold/hot service tea. Needs a bit of decor improvements, its a bit outdated.
Overall Dining Experience:
Food- 4/5
Drinks- 4/5
Ambience- 3/5
Service- 5/5
Value for Money- 4/5
The ramen, maki, and gyoza were satisfyingly delicious! The serving were just right at a very reasonable price. We did not wait that long for the food we ordered, well maybe because it was 3pm. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely go back and recommend this to my friends.
Great food! Ordered ebi tempura, kani salad, and yaki gyoza. Even the sauces are all great. Ebi tempura had that crunchiness that was just right but still was tender inside. Kani salad was a lot for its price! Will be back for more!!!
As Kapitolyo's restaurant has been growing exponentially, more and more restaurants that has been there for quite some time is being highlighted or noticed through the years. One of which is Takashi's Japanese Cuisine. While it is located in the Pioneer center compound, the number of establishments has grown as well, from the old Pelangi grill to the new Kissako Matcha cafe.
Takashi has been specializing in ramens, as according to the servers. It reminded me of Tamagoya of Marikina. It's not the high end franchise ramen, but just mom-and-pop ramen store similar to Tokyo.
We ordered their Kani Salad maki and Spicy Karaage.
Kani Salad Maki was battered maki topped with kani salad and filled with kani as well. I like the simplicity and fusion of kani salad in maki, as it is the usual salad presented a different way. I just find the rice too thick without the balance of rice and filling. It taste what it is. Simple, crisp, delicious.
Spicy Karaage ramen is a tantan mien (peanut) based stock topped with chicken karaage (fries chicken). The stock was rich, thick, peanutty, creamy that complemented the crispy chicken and ramen. The noodles just lacks the snap or is either a bit overcooked.
Takashi may not serve their 'panda sushi' that gained the attention from writers of social media. It's worth visiting for cheap, simple Japanese food.

I dined here December 2014, after months of searching for really good seafood ramen, and Takashi Japanese Cuisine nailed it! Although it wasn't spicy enough for me, I truly *loved* it. This is the first bowl of seafood ramen I've had in the metro that has generous serving of salmon in it!!! Winner!
Their spicy salmon sashimi was also fantastic. After finishing my ramen and sashimi, I promise I wanted to order some other dishes but had to stop myself from binging too much. I just need to eat there again!

The ramen tastes great and the cost is not too high. I have tried their ramen (miso) and california maki sushi. There are lot of options in their menu as well.
Simply yummy. Worth every centavo. Freshly cooked meals to satisfy your Japanese cravings. Try the oyakodon and takoyaki balls. Their makis are also worth trying.

Gyoza and Tempura craving satisfied! And it was good!
Been wanting some Japanese food and saw this beside Kissako. Tried and it was good. Was not able to take photos of the Ramen coz we're starving but this is okay for a ramen fix. The place is big, but not too inviting coz of the dark, interiors and all, but worth giving it a try. Food is good, service was okay and price is just right. Not much to say, nothing spectacular.
Oh and did I mention that their Gyoza was good? Hahaha
We had their ramens which were quite alright. Their tantanmen had the nutty taste one should look for in a tantan ramen. The spice level was just right for my wife (and a bit low for me but that's not an issue). I had the shoyu tonkotsu ramen and I liked that their tonkotsu broth is not as rich as those from big-name ramen joints. It does not give one an over-bearing feeling after. Gyoza was quite OK though not outstanding. Best of all, their price point is lower than the usual popular ramen joints in the city. Takashi is a great alternative for those wanting to move away from where the crowds go to.
No panda sushi for me :(
Product: We had the Salmon Sashimi, Spam Musubi, Ebi Tempura, a plain rice, and their Sweet Tea. The sashimi was hands down, really good. To be honest, I am not a die-hard fan of Japanese food but they always surprise when it comes to their flavors, so I always give it a try. The good thing about this is that, most sashimi taste so raw that I can't really eat them but it seems that this one is the finest out of the ones I had before. The spam in the musubi for some surprising reason, taste really japanese-y, kinda like the spam was seaweed flavor or something like that. The tempura was so flavorful right from the first bite. I mean, most tempuras I had, you had to wait to get to the shrimp in order to taste something but here, it tasted good already. The rice was sticky rice so, if you know how to use chopsticks, it's gonna be easy for you to eat this. The sweat tea was literally just sweetened tea. What should I expect, right? It could use a bit more lemon but that's up to the person on how they like their tea.
Venue: The place was actually really nice. Honestly, it is almost like what you see in animes where the protagonists have their gatherings or something like that. They play japanese pop songs too so that's a plus. You really get the vibes of Japan in here. There are actually a few people who eat here because we went there on a Sunday night at 7PM and the place wasn't packed but they really deserve to be. I am just disappointed I didn't get to experience the panda sushi which I really went there for. Maybe someday. I hope I can come back here.
Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen
Service was fast! Unusually fast, even. It just took them around 5 minutes upon ordering to serve.
The place is true to its theme, sticking to Japense interior as well as the music it plays in the background.
The ramen was filling and tasted close to the hyped ones (eg Ramen Nagi). Each garnish therein complemented the ramen itself. The noodles had just the right stiffness, but i wouldnt pretend to know if it was handmade or instant. The only down side was that even though i knew it was authentic broth+ soysauce base, it came out a little too salty for my liking.
Still worth coming back to try other dishes!
Good Japanese restaurant in Pioneer Center Supermarket at corner of Pioneer and United Streets. Quick service, clean interiors and freshly made maki.
Loved their crazy maki - crisp at the top with kani and a nice sushi inside. Very fresh and tasty. Took out the karaage curry and the oyakodon. The karaage curry was tasty but
we found very few chicken pieces in it. Lived the oyakodon - tender chicken pieces in a eggie sweetish sauce. Very good!
All in all, a great place for quick and cost efficient yet tasty Japanese food
I now have a new favourite Japanese restaurant.
Food is great and fresh.
Price is a lot lower than most Japanese in the NCR. Kapitolyo is really great because of all the amazing restaurants in the area.
Try the panda sushi
Truly enjoyed our food. The prices are fair as well. We ordered oyakudon, curry, maki and gyoza. I also appreciate how they make your maki on the spot so that the temperature of the sushi is even, no extremely cold mango on your piece. The curry is really hearty, not too salty like other curries. The gyoza tastes great too although the piece falls apart too much.
Known for their cute food preparation, their chicken curry was quite good. However the food serving was quite few. I ordered their chicken curry don and only got 4 small pieces of chicken. The curry sauce nonetheless was good.
I regularly eat at this restaurant since it's the only Japanese restaurant in the area that serves decent food. You can't go wrong with their ramen and the chicken karaage because they are really great, and the rice bowls are also affordable. The staff can be a bit inattentive at times, however. Their tonkatsu and curry also tastes inconsistent sometimes. There were times when my pork cutlet had a bit of chashu taste mixed in it or it tasted strange.
Tried their new items, chirashi, karaage don and panda sushi, they all looked good but nothing out of ordinary as far as taste is concerned. The best dish is still their crazy sushi maki, delicioso 😙 This restaurant serves good japanese food at an affordable price. Really worth going back for more.
With growing popularity of Japanese cuisine I was pleasently surprise at the dishes serve in Takashi. The ramen is excellent with thick miso broth slow cook to perfection with flavors that will tingle your tastebuds. The chasu is tender and melts in your mouth while the straight noodles gives the right bite. The ebi tempura is exceptional with a batter similar to the one I tried in Tokyo. I also like the crunchy karaage. The ambiance is unpretentious & straight forward. The music is witty with english pop hits hilariously translated into japanese rendition. Value for money this restaurant will woo you with plenty returned visits.
Tried Unagi rice, Miso soup and Ice green tea latte. I would strongly say it's authentic Japanese foods. And surprisingly their foods are affordable. Oishi desu honto. Will try again soon!
What a wonderful discovery in the kapitolyo area. Found this restaurant and was surprised to find it was authentic Japanese food! And inexpensive too! I have to say the ramen here is top notch, and a hearty serving. I will definitely visit again to try the other items on the menu. Great discovery with @johnnybravo
1. Very clean utensils and plates
2. Servers are attentive , food is fast, billing is also fast!
3. Food is AWESOME!
I ordered the hokkaido miso ramen, the broth is very delicious l it has the perfect balance of sweet and salty and somewhat spicy.. the ajitama tamago is cooked perfectly also with its still soft boiled wet yolk.. the pork or charsiu is very soft, tender and juicy! The other toppings are bonuses already.. i saw the chef and was surprised that he is japanese! He said it is cooked authentically and how he use to make it back home.. i highly recomend this place.. i also tried their line of maki rolls and it was also good!
Definitely a must try for japanese foodie. All ramen and rice meals are worth a try. If you want an honest to goodness kind of japanese food then you should visit this restaurant. No bullshit take on the food, just pure japanese love.

The best way for me to describe this resto is non-descript. It's located in Pioneer Center, not in the more hip Kapitolyo streets where the "happening" food destinations are. The store's interiors make the effort to reflect a Japanese dining experience, with piped in J-Pop in the background. The wait staff are accommodating. We ordered the Spicy Karaaga Ramen and the Tempura Ramen to get a contrasting set of flavors: spicy and mild. The Tonkatsu is a bit on the tough side; the batter easily separate from the meat. All in all, the other reviews were correct: you get what you pay for.
Takashi resto is just one alternative whenever I crave for a japanese dishes. I've been there for couple of times and I had a good time tasting every dish I tried so far. As for this visit, we tried their ramen, gyoza, and maki. Maki is just ok. The ramen I ordered is tantan ramen, it actually taste good but it was just a bit spicy for my taste buds. As for the gyoza, its also good but I find it a bit oily this time around. As for the servings, I think its fair enough with their price. So overall, the resto is decent and good for somene who just want to run down some good japanese dishes.
Dined in before attending a seminar somewhere in Pasig. I should say that they serve good ramen here. It even surpass my expectation.
Tried TanTan Ramen which is a combination of peanut based sauce and authentic broth with perfectly cook noodles. Katsu curry and Tonkatsu was also good. Gyoza both spam and yaki on the other hand is entry level on my list. You shouldn't miss The Iced Matcha Tea. :)
I needed a quite place to have a meeting last night and I needed healthy light dinner. The Chatime nearby is good for meetings but won't fit my need for healthy food. The japanese resto Takashi seems to meet both of my criteria. There were very few customers dining on that Saturday night so it was quite. We ordered yaki tori (tasteful but I didn't know beforehand that it is deep fried), tasty kani salad (I should have requested the mayo be put on the side), and salmon sashimi (which is not bad.) Overall, not very impressive but not bad at all. Will I come back? Yes.
Update: Came back. Out of the many dishes we ordered, I disliked the miso soup this time because it was too salty.
Decided to eat in this japanese restaurant after our weekly gorcery. We ordered Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, Crazy Maki Sushi and Sizzling Beef Teppanyaki. Loved the broth soup of the ramen and the crunchiness of the maki.
Cozy little place in pioneer.center, I'd say their Japanese fare is slightly above average. Tasty miso soup, standard priced sashimi and.tempura. Chahan was delicious.as well. Would I come back? Yes purely for aesthetics, for the food Maybe (if tokyu was closed)
Great flavors on their side dishes, their gyoza is quite delicious as well, their noodle quality is good, however their broth is so so, needs improvement but generally enjoyed my experience here. I'd personally recommend their yakitori and gyoza.
One of the best authentic ramen in town and yet very affordable. Big servings ! . I highly recommend Takashi if you are craving for ramen .. truly japanese flavor!!!
Payday Friday nights are busiest times for restaurants and seats and parking are hard to find.
I opted for the newly opened Takashi Japanese Cuisine at Pioneer Center because of its huge parking area.
It was a bit of a gamble really to bring guests to a restaurant I've never tried before but having read spot.ph's feature, I had a feeling it would be okay.
Takashi Japanese Cuisine is closer to the Pioneer Street entrance of the complex. It is decorated simply and features a see through kitchen. The space is quite small and the service area spills into the dining area. There is no restroom on site but the center's toilets are a short walk away.
My companions opted for the ramen while I had rice. We shared the California maki sushi and ebi tempura. The one who had the Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen appreciated the flavorful but not to the extreme broth but felt that it lacked toppings. Those who had the Spicy Seafood Ramen were impressed and remarked that they would come back. The Japanese fried rice was okay, sticky but somewhat lacking in ingredients. The ebi tempura and California roll were ordinary.
Although the dishes are reasonably priced, I felt that some were overpriced because of the location and ambiance. I've had similar sized bowls of ramen in more upscale and beautiful restaurants for almost the same price.
